when it comes to temperature play, carol tends to lean towards acts based around heat and heated objects - partly because of how accessible it is to her and because she enjoys leaving faint marks on your body

though she’s also the type to be extremely cautious and reluctant to start engaging in this type of play because she’s all too aware of the types of risks it can bring - though with some thorough convincing she’ll certainly give it a go

hela odindöttir

hela is much more open to all types of play from the get go and has plenty of experience with it from her time as the true heir of asgard - meaning that she’d likely be the one to introduce temperature play to the bedroom

she takes on a dominant role with this, as she does with most things, and tends to use both extreme heat and cold as a form of punishment or as an extension of pain play

jane foster

jane is the type to do extensive and thorough research into temperature play once you’ve brought up wanting to partake in it - what toys she should use, where she should touch you, how she can safely heat/freeze them, etc.

she primarily uses this as a way of teasing you with toys made specifically for this type of play - with two main examples being a reinforced glass dildo for cold play and metal toys for heat play

gamora

gamora isn’t the most familiar with the concept of temperature play, but after doing some research she finds herself being open to giving and receiving it (with a distinct preference for the cold side of things)

she’s very squirmy when receiving this treatment and, likewise, tends to be very messy when performing it on you - ending up being impacted herself whilst trying to maintain her usual domineering demeanour

kate bishop

kate tends to get rather skittish and flustered when it comes to introducing anything non-vanilla to your sex life, so this particular kink would have to be introduced in a very slow and mutual manner

when receiving she prefers heat (cold startles her more than anything), but when giving she prefers to use cooled items as, to her, there’s more leeway before you get hurt

yelena belova

yelena is very methodical and precise when it comes to anything that could cause either of you harm — both in and outside of the bedroom — and because of her history she’d much prefer to be the one exposing you to the play rather than receiving it

when she does use it, her preference lies entirely on what you ask for, and either way she’ll be very slow and observant, making sure that you’re comfortable and at ease throughout and taking care to watch for any signs of genuine distress or pain beyond your agreed upon limits

By the time they slept together for the first time, Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma had known each other for around 10 years and had spent a good portion of that time swearing to anyone willing to hear that they hated each other. The worst part was that they had believed it as well.

Anthony and Kate get snowed in in a cabin in the mountains on December 23rd and apparently, if the snow keeps coming like that, they won't make it home in time for Christmas. But how do they explain that to their families, who have no idea they were away together, to begin with, and who think they still very much hate each other?

When the ball drops…

The third martini had her buzzed. Confident, sociable, euphoric.

As she made her way through the loft, conversing with people she wouldn't usually have the opportunity to interact with, she couldn't help but keep him in her periphery. They way he lit up the room, the way he held focus and had his guests completely enthralled in his stories... he had her breathless.

Because, even with all eyes on him, she was the one his eyes searched for in the crowd. She was the one he was trying to impress. Hers was the only smile that meant a thing to him.

He lowered the music, turned on the television. It was almost midnight, the ball would begin its descent soon. 
He manoeuvred his way through the room, weaving through people, until he stood with his 12th precinct family. Until he stood with her.

Ten...

A perfectly synchronised chorus of voices began the countdown. A poorly harmonised melody of hope and possibility.

Nine...

She could see the crowd around her begin to shuffle, to pair off in preparation, even within their own small group. Ryan turned to his wife, took her in his arms. Still in their newlywed bliss, she was his whole world, nothing else mattered.

Eight...

Esposito and Lanie's hands found each other, an unspoken confirmation that they wouldn't be bringing in the new year alone. They might not be together, but they would never be alone.

Seven...

She joined in with the chorus. The ceremonial chanting of numbers, counting down to the New Year. She was under no illusion that the strike of midnight signified anything more than a new day, but there was something beautiful in the hope and optimism.

Six...

He inched closer to her, close enough for her to feel his presence lingering behind her.

Five...

His hand pressed against her lower back. As he stepped around her, turning to face her, he glided his hand along the soft material of her dress.

Four...


His hand came to rest on her hip, fingertips gripping, pressing into her.

Three...

His eyes burned through her, seared into her soul. She lost focus, the ability to count down, the ability to breathe properly.

Two...

It was minuscule, the distance he was closing between them. Insignificant enough that no one else had probably even noticed. But she had, she could feel his energy vibrating against her.

One...

He wouldn't, would he? He's not that brave, is he? But he was looking at her so intently. His eyes were bold, daring.

Happy New Year!

Cheers and applause erupted around them. 
In her peripheral vision she could see people around her embracing. Kissing, hugging, celebrating. 
She didn't move. She didn't dare break this spell. 
The chaos of the party around them began to fade away into nothingness. No one else existed, no one but them.

Her eyes flickered to his lips, then back to his eyes.

"Happy New Year, Beckett."

She lifted herself on her tiptoes, captured his lips with hers before either one of them regained their sense and pulled away.

He moved his free hand to her face, gently pressed his palm under her ear, tangled his fingers through her hair. Her hands roamed his chest, fisted the material of his shirt.

The bitter-sweet taste of whiskey was still fresh on his tongue as it danced with hers, passionate, unrestrained, insatiable.

Music began to play again, pulling them from their haze. She rested her forehead against his, lingered for a short moment before pulling away.

"Happy New Year, Castle."

Happy new year with some characters I liked in 2023. Much sketchier than 2022’s version, but eh that’s kind of my art this year as a whole. More nonsense lines for everyone!

Anyhow I planned on finishing this last night but instead I played fighting games with my dad for like three hours and had to finish it today. I’ll give notes on who each character is if prompted
