Nick Names The Weasley Siblings Like To Be called By

William ‘Bill’

His siblings, and the goblins at the bank, get to give him little wolf inspired nick names. Anyone else will be stabbed. But you are the exception to the rule. He won’t lie. He always gets flustered whenever you call him “Mr. Wolf” all teasingly, in a sing song tone. What gets him red in the face is you calling him “Red Riding Hood-“ Tho. As a flip of the script, and also the fact he’s a red head. That’s the only nick name you are blessed with saying. Calling him Red, Big Red Wolf, and other teasing nick names of that nature. Maybe the Weasley twins, on a good day, but you are his little fairy tale.

Charlie

He’s the playboy type, so you calling him Big Boy is a winner. Daddy to. That’s one way to get his engine going real fast. He does have a nick name he likes that you are only allowed to say, and not infront of company. Amber. He likes the nick name amber. A cute play on the fact many dragons of hoards, and a compliment to his ginger hair. Makes him feel like he’s precious. Big guys deserve to feel soft.

Percy

He’s not really one for nicknames. It feels childish to him. He has an image to uphold. He’s always trying to act like he’s the exception and what everyone aspires to be. Doesn’t help Molly fed that idea to him. Still, what gets him to flush will be those cheesey wifey names. Calling him Pumpkin, Honey, Dear, Darling. The classics. Hey, his nose is always in books. He’s got that hopeless romantic in him.

Fred

Freddy, kinda a given. A names branching off that. It’s simple and classic. But everyone does that. Like Charlie, he’s a sucker for the Big Boy comments. His real heart stopper, though, gotta be Boss/Bossman. Bossman in the playful tone, and Boss for the…You know what tone. What can he say? It feels good to be in charge.

George

Similar to Fred. Georgie though gets to him a lot. He loved being called Georgie. Along with very sugary names. Like Pumpkin, Sugar, Cupcake, Sweetie, stuff like that. He’s adorable like that. He loves flirty nick names. He just loves it. Call him Teddy Bear, and he’s puddy in your arms. Since he loves hugs and cuddles.

Ron

Ever since his sixth year at Hogwarts, he’s kinda not the most excited by nicknames. Can you blame him? He LITERALLY got drugged. Bro. There is an exception, though. It sounds egotistical, but it really isn’t. He loves when you call him “My Hero.” He doesn’t really feel appreciated or as loved as the others. He deserves to feel special. He’s not smart like Hermione, special like Harry, and don’t get him started on his siblings. Make him feel special. He deserves it.

Ginny

She has a weird thing about her femmnity. Not because she was raised by brothers. Just that she is excepted to be femmine, and gets called a pick me for not being it. So Nick names are very but it miss. Her siblings get a pass, but still. You gotta find that special one. You took notice how her siblings did dumb names. Like to make fun of the act of Nick names. Such as Gin Gin, Ginger Ale. Stuff like that. So, one day, you called her your “EnerGinny Drink-“ She laughed so hard she fell off her broom. Now you have an inside joke that her nick name is “Energy.” Only the twins figured it out, but are bros and keep hushed. So you two can have your special inside joke.

Has anyone stopped to think that the reason Molly Weasley tried so hard to keep her children from sitting in on the Order meetings and from engaging in missions wasn't because she didn't think that they were mature enough, but because she knew first-hand what it was like to grow up too fast due to a war? Headcanon <3

Ron grew up with five older brothers and a little sister, his parents love each other, his mother is really sensitive and loving. Of course Ron's good with emotions. Maybe Hermione got it wrong.

Because later in life, Hermione saw it clearly. It was in the way Ron was able to talk Harry into telling them when he needed help. In the way he hugged Ginny tightly before every mission. In the way he called Hermione everytime to let hee know if he was going to home late from work. In the way he was the sweetest father in the world, like he was born to be one.

Ronald Weasley has more emotional intelligence than you give him credit for.

From my canon-divergent fake dating WIP (this is pre-fake dating arrangement):

“It's my department, Potter,” Robards said sharply. “I know everything that happens here… which is how I know that Weasley and Longbottom left twenty minutes ago, and that you should be with them.”

“I'm going in a minute. I'm just finishing some paperwork.”

Truthfully, this wasn't the first time Robards had kicked him out of the office, but usually such an occurrence only happened very late in the evening, when even the maintenance staff were ready to leave and were waiting on Harry to do so to be able to lock up.

“That can wait until Monday,” Robards said, unmistakable dismissal in his tone. “It's Friday night, Potter – you're young, and your friends are at the pub, for the sake of my sanity, go and join them… better yet, go and find some beautiful young witch and –”

The door flew open before Robards could finish, not that it mattered; Harry knew exactly where that particular rant had been going – everyone; his friends, his boss, the press, was obsessed with Harry's love life. The only person who wasn't, the only person who he wished did have an opinion on the subject, was currently strolling breezily through his office door.

Ginny didn't falter upon seeing the Head of the Auror Department seated in front of Harry's desk. On the contrary, she flicked her long, vivid hair confidently over her shoulder and painted a bright smile on her face. “Auror Robards,” she inclined her head in greeting. “Apologies for the intrusion, but I've been sent on a rescue mission – one simply doesn't refuse orders from Hermione Granger.”

Harry's eyes darted to Robards. He almost fell out of his chair upon discovering his usually surly expression replaced with an amused smile, the kind that only Ginny could bring forth. “I should think not, Miss Weasley. I take it you're here to extract, Potter?”

“Those are my instructions,” Ginny nodded, her smile was bright enough that it didn't matter Harry hadn't gotten around to lighting the lamps yet. “If you can spare him?”

“Take him,” Robards said, waving vaguely in Harry's direction as though he was an old piece of furniture that had become more of an inconvenience than an item of use. “He's yours.”

If only that were true.

Ginny was still grinning. She waggled her eyebrows at Harry over Robards’ shoulder. “Quill away please, Potter.”

The amount of drarry in HBP really is insane. Every time I interact with this book I just lose my mind because I cannot believe how much it really is Like That. In canon.

Harry is generally very conflict avoidant with his friends but he actually loses his temper with Ron here because Ron has the audacity to tell him to take a break from talking about Draco Malfoy.

I became curious about how many times Harry’s internal dialogue outted him in canon… and it was many times. Canonically? The person Harry Potter was most attracted to was Sirius Black. After that? Tom Riddle Jr.

Don’t attack me… I didn’t write the series, just the brilliant and chaotic rewrite. 😂

While we’re talking about female characters we love, I’ve gotta throw one out there for my girl Ginny❤️ What a queen

Ginny doesn't get enough credit for surviving Tom Riddle. I mean, she was possessed, forced to commit atrocities, and then almost sacrificially killed. As an 11 year old. During her first year of school.

And I know we don't hear a lot about how she coped with it because nobody brings it up after Chamber of Secrets (only a throw away line made later on) but, honestly, that feels in character for her.

Ginny is defined by her independence. She's strong, tough, and capable. She doesn't need her big brothers to protect her. And she wants everyone to know that.

I don't think that she would've wanted to talk about what happened to her. I think she was scared of looking weak. So, naturally, she brushed it off and buried it deep down.

Honestly, this just makes her that much more resilient because she dealt with all that on her own. And she didn't have to do that. She had a support system. She just didn't want them to worry (and isn't that just the most only daughter thing you've heard).

She only brought it up because she was trying to comfort Harry. It was clear that she didn't want his pity, and she certainly didn't want to relive the trauma - she just wanted him to know that he wasn't alone.

Anyway, I love Ginny. She's so much more than the "cool girl" archetype.
