Continuing on the topic of the possibility of a Charlie/Vaggie/Emily polycule*, I thought I’d discuss a few other thoughts on why these three could totally work together:

Assuming that Vaggie was originally human, and perhaps has even ‘become’ human again in a way with the removal of her wings, then these three together could represent an interesting thematic ‘trinity’ bridging Hell and Heaven: We have a Demon (Charlie), a Human (Vaggie) and an Angel (Emily) all coming together.

Next, and this could have some interesting implications for the next two episodes if we get a B-plot focused on Vaggie, given just how SIMILAR Charlie and Emily are, if Vaggie had to spend any amount of time with Emily, you can’t tell me she wouldn’t start falling for Emily too. Or that Vaggie trying to stay angry/jealous of Emily and failing miserably wouldn’t be completely hilarious.

Additionally, you know how Charlie’s and Vaggie’s character designs are clearly meant to subvert a lot of traditional gender norms? Like how Charlie is has a lot traditionally feminine/‘girly’ personality traits like being super upbeat, cheerful, friendly and kind, yet dresses exclusively in masculine clothes and is taller than her partner, while Vaggie has a lot of traditionally masculine/butch personality traits yet wears much more feminine clothing and is the shorter of the pair? Well imagine if Emily ends up following this trend if/when she joins Charlie and Vaggie in Hell?

Like say, Fallen-Angel!Emily ends up going PURE emo/goth/punk look, while of course remaining exactly the same upbeat, cheerful cinnamon roll just like Charlie that she was before. And maybe cheerfully dropping f-bombs left and right because she can swear now and thinks cussing is really fun!

*Speaking of which, have we settled on a ship name for these three yet? I realize ‘Chaggiem’ works well enough (and sounds amusingly similar to ‘requiem’ of all things) but personally I think ‘Unholy Trinity’ is pretty good. Alternatively, ‘Two and a Half Halos’.

In episode 2 when Vox started freaking out about Alastor Val is like "yeah, go get him tiger".

And then Valentino went to find Velvette and they were just chilling together, waiting for Vox to finish his angry singsonging because they knew Vox would call an "emergency meeting" right after that. It does look like a routine to me.

This makes me wonder how many times has something like this happened before Alastor's 7 year absence?

Vox gets angry -> he goes into a fight/edgy song -> emergency meeting where Vox rants about it

Yo hazbin fandom, Luci lovers, i don't care what ship you do with him but please. I wanna see more of Luci being a lil maniac. Yes I love him being a soft duck loving, gentle father but also....We all know he's crazy in more ways than one, right? I'm not the only one who thinks Luci is a bit of a lunatic and is genuinely an absolute sadist. I'm sure Luci would look so good losing his shit and killing someone or tearing them apart with his bare hands. He's the king of hell for christ sake! (this is not a dig, believe me I love all the luci content whether its Lucililith, Lucidam, Radioapple/Radioking)

I just wanna see a lil more of Lucifer having 1: a back bone and 2: a lil more of a sadistic streak

I've seen people (more than a few) sharing fanart posting about how they forget to add in Alastor's antlers into the drawings and have to go back and fix it. Anyone else forget something when they are portraying him in art or fanfiction? For me, writing fanfiction, it's the VOICE. Kind of a small thing, maybe not as noticeable as antlers missing in a drawing, BUT it drives me insane to go back and see a whole Chapter or scene went by and I said nothing about it. Lol.

Canon/Headcanon likelihood chart

So I've been thinking about @macdenlover 's "levels of headcanon" chart (about how heavily a HC is influenced by canon), so I decided to make my own scale about how likely a HC is to be true (including different levels of canon) using queer cartoon characters as examples :)

I just spent an hour making this because I was bored. Enjoy. Image description under the cut.

Sometimes i think about how wasted the potential of heaven's reveal was in hazbin.

Blah blah. Ideas of how flipping season villains around

If they kept the Vees as the main villain in season 1, go through the season fighting them & claiming victory over them (sir pentious dies in the final battle against the vees).

You see the crew rebuilding the hotel & then you get the end clip of Sir Pentious appearing in heaven.

The extermination is moved up, because the sinners can't know they can be redeemed.

So s2 focuses on the heaven/hell fight & charlie learns that it is possible for sinners to be redeemed, but unsure how.

This would give more time to see & learn about the hellborn citizens & give time for the world to breathe before also introducing heaven.

Lucifer still plays a bit, but it's more so in the capacity of how the sinners are going after his daughter & he puts his foot down, because sinners aren't on the same level or whatever you wanna go with

You know it’s really interesting to imagine the rest of Hell’s nobility being introduced in Hazbin Season 2, specifically Charlie introducing Vaggie to them and being very open about their relationship.

Because I imagine the go-to expectation most of us have probably had for a while would be that the rest of Hell’s nobility would be looking down on Vaggie and by extension Charlie. You know, doing the typical ‘looking down on the heroine’s love-interest for being a commoner and the heroine for courting someone so beneath her’ plot.

Buuuuut, I think we have to consider how a certain reveal about Vaggie kind of COMPLETELY changes the calculus of this plot. Because Vaggie isn’t actually some ‘sinner commoner’, she’s a FALLEN ANGEL. And whichever way you slice it, that is going to be a BIG FUCKING DEAL for Hell’s nobility.

I mean, even the low-ball estimates of the status of fallen angels in Hell is probably that all of Hell’s nobility is are either former angels themselves or descended from them (note how Sera and Emily are anthropomorphic birds just like Stolas and other Goetia), which would effectively make Vaggie one of them.

And then we’ve got more high-ball estimates that could put the status of a Fallen Angel like Vaggie more on par with the likes of Lucifer and the other Deadly Sins.

Simply put, I HIGHLY doubt any plot point of Charlie having to introduce Vaggie and their relationship to the rest of Hell’s nobility is going to involve those nobles ‘turning their noses up’ and ‘looking down on them’.

Perhaps they might want to, particularly if Charlie’s relationship with Vaggie has been known up to this point, but if/when Charlie strolls into some grand ball arm-in-arm with a FALLEN ANGEL? Yeah, I’m pretty sure that is something the rest of the nobility kinda HAVE to take fucking seriously.

And of course that goes double if Fallen!Emily and Chaggily/Unholy Trinity becomes a thing XD

The five cutest, most wholesome characters in Hazbin Hotel will still look utterly terrifying the moment you are threatening their loved ones (or you're in stabbing range, in Niffty's case).

(Of course, Niffty isn't exactly wholesome. But she's cute, so she belongs here).

I'm thinking about the stupid fucking parasocial dynamic between sir pentious and alastor. I have questions

the fact that sir pentious says "again" in the pilot and him saying they'd done battle "like 20 times" in episode 2, was this just like. a regular thing he did even prior to alastor's disappearance. where he would just come in every other week to attack alastor while he was casually doing stuff and alastor just forgot each and every time.

also keep in mind sir pentious is from the VICTORIAN ERA, he arrived in hell before alastor. how. how long has he known him. how long had he been DOING this.

sir pentious being one of the chronologically oldest major characters really makes you think about how much he has seen or knows about LMAO

also the fact that he says "for when I've slain you the almighty vees will finally acknowledge me as their equal" was he just thinking of alastor just being generally powerful that it'd be cool if he defeated him or did he know the specific significance of alastor in the context of the vees. I also find it funny that he found out about alastor's return BEFORE vox, yeah if he delivered a dead alastor to the vees after 7 years I'm sure that would've been one fucking hell of a shock

Never getting over the fact that this was originally supposed to be Blitz...

I think everyone knows the story of how Stolas was supposed to be an antagonist, but one of my favorite pieces of lore is that Blitz was originally just meant to be some comic relief villain that wreaked havoc at the Hazbin Hotel with his lackey (Moxxie).

But since the cast of Hazbin Hotel was getting so big, instead of scrapping Blitz and Moxxie altogether, Viv decided to design an entire show based off the both of them, in particular, Blitz.

Man literally went from looking like a candy cane to the hottest imp in all of Hell, and I love that.

And then Stolas went from being an antagonist to what was originally supposed to be a sitcom, to an eventual love interest for the main character.

Blitz is the reason Helluva Boss exists, and Stolas is what made the show what it is today.

And I just adore that, I love how both these characters play a titular role for the very foundation of the show.
