Zayne is pretty reserved and quiet, so he needs a bright person like you for the perfect balance.

Sea of Stars Headcanons 01

Whoo! As I play this game, I adore each of the characters, but I feel that some of them are a little bit of blank slates. As such.. there's much room for headcanons! I'll be making some for a bunch of SoS characters, and to kick off the list with my very first hcs, I'll be doing some for Zale! Our favourite sunboy and solar blade dancer!

Out of the main trio, Zale is the shortest of the three. He may not be the tallest, but he's got muscle! He's still pretty damn strong. Valere and Garl do still tease him for being little, though.

He likes (surprise!) sunny weather the best, and has a great tolerance for heat. Doesn't really care what the temperature's like, as long as the sun's out, so he doesn't mind being out in the snow.

In the snow, he's the type to go for the elaborate snowball fights with snow forts and such.. he also liked Glacial Peak, enjoying how the ice was fun to slide about on.

When it comes to food, Zale likes strong, spicy-tasting foods, much to the dismay of Valere and the others. When Garl was unable to make food for the party and it was Zale's turn to cook, his food would generally turn out to be a near-inedible concoction of spices and powerful flavours.

He used to balk at being made to sew for hours in his Zenith days, much to Moraine's chagrin, and would run off to attempt some mischief or the other.

His high energy levels mean he's proooobably bad at meditating hehe, as he cannot sit still for the life of him a lot of the time.

He probably also had a messy side of the room when he was in Zenith, and Valere would help him organize it.

Zale was closer with Brugaves than Erlina as a child, since he and Brugaves shared an easygoing attitude.

Oh, definitely a dog person, though he likes animals of all sorts.

Out of all the party members, he gets along best with Garl and B'st, and doesn't get along all too well with Resh'an and Serai at times.

He's also very good at fishing, and ends up catching the good stuff for Garl to cook.

When Zale is sick or hurting, he craves affection and comfort quite openly. He'll cuddle up to Garl and/or Valere, maybe even Seraï, if the assassin allows (or is roped in to watch him).. Resh'an not so much as the Alchemist doesn't like it, but B'st is good with it.

Speaking of affection.. this boy is very physically affectionate. He likes to hug, hold, and keep close physical proximity to those he likes. Oftentimes, he'll idly play with Garl or Valere's hands or hair, or lean on them casually (or just touching shoulders, no weight on them).

He enjoys boisterous play, sparring matches, and roughousing, oftentimes the victim of these being B'st or Valere. The former will gladly indulge, while the latter is sort of neutral to it depending on her mood.

He also bothers Resh'an like this, and the Immortal Alchemist does NOT enjoy it.. partly why Zale likes to annoy him sometimes hehe.

Zale is a morning lark, and does not do well with staying up late in the night.. he gets sleepy fast, and likes to go to bed decently early and get his sleep.

His push-ups idle animation has him looking mighty pissed lol, I imagine he does them (and other exercises/training) for hours on end when he's feeling angry.. a good way to release emotion in any case.

He'll also be visibly grumpy, though his grudges never last long unless they've deeply hurt him (cough cough erlina brugaves)

Doing Batfamily + Batjokes Headcanons even though nobody asked for them

Bruce is the handholding king of the relationship

Mister J always gets to be the passenger princess whenever they go out on dates

Bruce doesn't let the kids watch him and Joker show affection to each other. They keep it to themselves.

They openly tell the kids that their bedroom and section of the house is off limits because they enjoy having romantic little dates and such on their own. Of course without someone skateboarding in on them while they make out... *cough cough* DAMON.

They have a bedroom terrace. No further elaboration. Just terrace.

Batman likes to sit on the terrace before bed at sundown when the sun is setting and reads a book in Latin or French or some other language that makes J swoon all while letting Joker sit on his lap.

Batman is the one who gets his ass slapped more. Joker 'will just give it a slap while he's doing something.

Jokers little bit of heaven every day for batman is singing songs in the morning to wake him up. silly little songs like hamilton songs or heathers and stuff like that

Auntie Harls and Barb are gossip buddies

Joker and Batsy talk to the kids about the fact that they don't like it when other people see them being affectionate together. This convo happens at the dinner table. Barbie knows what she did.

Joker had the talk with Dames because Batsy was too embarrassed.

Harley is the family wingman.

Tim works at a red robin to be ironic even though he hates his job.

Joker wakes up at 4am to make Barb a new balloon animal to put on her desk so she doesn't get lonely.

Harley does the shopping with Alfie because he gets lost easily.

Barb and Joker have a very sweet relationship. He's her little Mini-Harls. But like. A bit more geeky and speaks in the same crazy-intelligent way like he does.

Joker and Dick do NOT get along. He is constantly invading J+B's privacy. Their relationship is tense for a reason.

Bats is a very "softy mom" dad to the kids and offers emotional support because he fails to deal with his own.

He didn’t care about being affectionate in public. If he had to show everyone, someone, that he loved you, he’d show it. But you figured it was some friendly way to show his friendly love. You guys were like best friends. (At least, that’s what you think)

He didn’t really hide anything from you. If he *ahem* killed someone *ahem* he’d bring it up like it was nothing. Like it was a normal thing to talk about. But you always figured it was some kind of sick joke.

He would do anything for you.

Whether it was to protect you, make you laugh, keep you smiling- he’d know what to do. Bad or good.

He’s smart. You can’t trick him(even if he’s blind).

He’s not the horrible, terrible punishing type. He’d snuggle you till you passed out for a punishment. Then when you wake up, he’d probably make up something, saying he accidentally squeezed you too hard and you passed out(not necessarily lying).

Oh, he’d be over-the-top angry if you kissed a someone(not family) on the cheek or something. He didn’t care if you saw, either. And would openly threaten them to stay away from you.

He could also be a very good liar if he really wanted to be. He’d show such a bubbily side of him, which would cover his deepest, darkest desires for/of you.

You’re really lucky if you’re dating Freddy, he has so much love to give! He’s incredibly sweet and openly affectionate, if not a little clueless how to act in a relationship. That’s not the kind of information he was preprogrammed with. To figure things out, he starts to keep a closer eye on any couples interacting at the Pizzaplex, picking up on the nicknames they use and the gestures they show each other. (There’s a decent chance he’ll pick up something slightly inappropriate or just plain uncharacteristic.) But there’s never anything more than a quick peck or a hug in front of the kids, though! His hugs are a lot less stiff than you might expect.

He’s a great listener! An active one too, making noises and asking questions where appropriate. His memory is a lot more effective than those of humans, so he’s never going to forget the things you tell him. If he wasn’t stuck in the Pizzaplex, he’d 100% give the best gifts. Freddy still tries, but… The things he can get you are either themed after himself or one of his friends. Venting to him is fine as well, even if he has the tendency to worry a bit too much. He also isn’t the best at giving advice since he has a lot of gaps in his knowledge.

In return, he’ll ask you to teach him more about the world outside the Pizzaplex! There’s no other human he’s quite comfortable enough with to ask a lot without feeling like he’s wasting their time. Most likely, he’d be interested in whatever trends are popular among the kids. He’s always striving to entertain them better, and it helps if he knows what they like outside the mall. But in all honesty, he’ll listen to you talk about anything he’s never heard about. As an AI, he has a deeply ingrained desire to learn more about subjects he’s unfamiliar with. Fine motor skills are a huge challenge for him which makes it difficult to read books or play games, if you leave him any. 

Freddy is pretty fussy. Scanning to see if you’re alright, asking if you’re taking care of yourself, making you promise to go to bed early… It can be a bit too much, sometimes. Compared to the rest of the animatronics, he’s one who can have the tendency to treat you too much like a child. (Sun can be worse than him.) It’s not that he sees you as one, or that he doesn’t think you can be independent… But he was made to primarily interact with children, and for most of the days, he does. From time to time, he has some trouble adjusting to the fact that you can handle yourself just fine. As soon as you mention it to him, he’ll reel it in. The last thing he’d want is to make you feel worse.

Do not talk yourself down in front of him. Freddy’s horrified, hurting in your stead! Even if it’s a joke, he doesn’t get it. (And if he did understand completely, it’d still make him uncomfortable.) All of the animatronics have trouble picking up on nuances in people’s tone and expressions, but Freddy a little more so than the others. He’ll take it very seriously. The first opportunity he gets, he’s taking you away and sitting down with you somewhere private. Immediately, he’s asking if someone told you such negative things, telling you that they aren’t true, and all kinds of things in that direction. He’ll tell you he loves you. 

A love for singing and dancing is the foundation of his programming. There’s no way he’d pass up an opportunity to enjoy his hobbies with you by his side! Freddy couldn’t care less whether you are any good or not, as long as you’re having fun. It’s not like stepping on his feet hurts him, or hitting the wrong note makes him cringe. He’s a very patient teacher either way. One who would never berate or raise his voice at you. He could go over the same steps again and again the entire night, and he still wouldn’t feel better. At every little improvement, he’s overflowing with praise.

His ears start twitching a lot if he’s embarrassed. ‘Wriggling back and forth’ could be a more accurate description. You can hear his internal fans whirring if it’s really bad.

Malleus really likes your bubbliness and affection. Your personality is like the sun coming out from behind a cloud after rain which always makes him smile and his heart melt.

At first, he's a bit shy to receive openly your love, but he's genuinely happy and finds it heart-warming that you're not afraid of him, so, Malleus eagerly takes every of your kiss and hug you give him. ohhh I love tht idea!! road trip fics/hcs are one of my weaknesses,,

but um!! I rly like the idea of th four of them going camping a few hours up north!! (we... don't rly know where. SAW is set so just. imagine a vaguely rural campground lmao. I'm used to camping in th upper peninsula of MI so) it's smth tht Art did a lot w his family when he was growing up, so he's th most familiar w it - Eric went a few times as a kid too, Mallick went Once, n Adam has never rly been camping, w his family or otherwise (he's slept on a trampoline at one of his friends' houses once tho). Art is p excited abt it tbh, it's not exactly smth he gets 2 do often so he's got this whole list planned of things he wants 2 show them!!

it's easiest 2 just take a week in late August, bc they can head back home on a Friday n have the weekend to settle n readjust b4 th coming week + they have to go back 2 work. so they head out around ten on a Monday morning 2 kind of get ahead of th traffic (or at least try to). Art drives both bc he insists and bc he knows they can switch if he needs to, which he does later w Eric. it's a good couple hours (at least 3) b4 they get 2 th campground Art wants to take them to, so clearly it is Music Time + Adam made sure 2 bring CDs! a lot of that time is just spent vibing 2 th music and singing very, very loudly (ESP on Adam + Mallick's end). Art's up front like u three are so fucking goofy (affectionate), but eventually he starts singing too lmao.

Mallick starts th Colour Game, where they try 2 find a car fr every colour of th rainbow. it's smth Eric is familiar w as well bc he used 2 play it w Daniel sometimes, and it's good until they come to purple bc how often do u see purple cars??? so Adam's just like "we're not gonna find pink either" n tht's when this fucking pink pickup truck (noticeably spray-painted, + not done well) passes them n Adam just groans n thumps his head against th window. Mallick is like, trying rly hard not to laugh by pressing a hand over his mouth + Art is biting his lip, but Eric is very openly cackling bc "u see what happens when u assume???" (he gets a very light slap 2 th shoulder but it's still very gentle)

ANYWAY. favourite snacks!! Adam can eat Way Too Many Sour Patch Kids. sour anything, actually, as long as it's candy. yes his tongue hurts and no he doesn't regret it. Eric just gets goldfish bc he tends 2 get a lil carsick + bc it's a food tht's familiar n comforting, n he doesn't rly want 2 be eating anything Too heavy (he's up front w Art, so he can sit by a window in case he needs some fresh air at any point). Mallick likes m&m's, but he switches fr cheez-its every once in a while bc he can only eat so much chocolate. Art likes those peanut-butter filled pretzel bites! he's also partial 2 animal crackers tho. they also bring a good amount of snacks/things they can b sure th four of them like, bc yeah there's a lil store abt a half hour away frm their campsite + they can go there to pick up things if they need 2, but it's easier 2 bring things they like, too. (there's also a mcdonald's in tht town n. they do go there at LEAST twice.)

th campsite they stay at has a lake + a beach, n one of Art + Adam's fave things 2 do is walk along it to see if they can find anything interesting! Mallick goes sometimes too, but mostly he stays w Eric bc Eric can't do tht fr as long as Adam + Art can (not tht he's resentful of it tho). he n Mallick chill on th beach w a blanket (it's kind of like. not necessarily sandy?) n just kinda sit against/lay on each other n read sometimes. Adam + Art come back 2 where they're set up to find them sleeping n Adam has never been more thankful he thought 2 bring his camera!!

on th second day Art + Mallick want 2 go swimming, so th four of them come back out to th beach, but Adam stays out of th water + Eric stays w him. they both know th water will be cold, even if it's late summer, n Adam rly doesn't like being in cold water ESP if it's over his head/he can't touch th bottom. fr Eric th cold can b kind of painful, so they chill n walk along th beach fr a little bit n just talk. Adam gets some good pictures n even gets some of Eric! he also does take a selfie of them, he can't help it. he gets a couple of Mallick + Art too. it's honestly such a nice thing fr them n it just feels like they can breathe easy, not having 2 worry abt looking over their shoulders constantly (tho they're all getting better abt that).

th third day they spend around th campsite to kind of unwind n relax. they might walk th beach a little bit again, but mostly they just sorta chill n walk some of th trails around the campground itself. when night falls they light a small bonfire (Mallick is still iffy around fire, understandably) n they sit around it in their folding chairs w th cupholders (Adam gets red, Eric has green, Art gets blue, + Mallick gets dark green) n make s'mores. they talk abt anything n everything until they're barely able 2 keep their eyes open, n then after making sure th fire is pretty much out they kinda just stumble into th tent n none of them r awake for very long after (they specifically got one tht cld comfortably hold th four of them).

fourth day!! they pack up n head into another little town about 45 minutes away; it's bigger than th one around th campgrounds. after they get situated in a motel room w two beds, they do some window shopping + going into lil stores that interest them! Adam def buys some niche graphic tees tht aren't going 2 make sense to anyone other than th four of them n he's delighted abt it. I like 2 think Eric gets a worry stone, specifically made out of rose quartz. Mallick too, but his is made of amethyst! he also gets a rly cool multicoloured jacket in a thrift store they duck into. Art gets a hoodie w th town's name on it n he's pretty happy w that. they get a few more lil things, just little knick-knacks while they're there, n then they have dinner in this lil diner they'd walked past earlier bc it's inexpensive + the atmosphere is very lowkey n honestly just Nice. there's not a bunch of ppl, the servers r rly kind n the lights aren't too bright, which Eric rly appreciates. it's such a tender moment bc they're squeezed into a booth, Adam + Mallick on one side n Art + Eric on th other, n they're talking n laughing n stealing bites of each other's food n it's Comfortable.

then they head back to th motel n channel surf while unpacking enough 2 get to their sleep clothes. Adam + Eric r sharing a bed n Art + Mallick r sharing th other one, tho Adam is very tempted 2 just push them together so they're all close by (th distance btwn th beds isn't tht big to begin with, but it's the principle of th thing). mostly tho, until they go to bed, they're pretty much just all stretched out Everywhere. Adam is only discouraged frm jumping across th divide btwn th beds bc Art breaks out his Lawyer Voice, despite trying rly hard not to laugh, to say Yr Going To Hurt Yrself, Don't Do That. he grumbles n whines abt it but Adam knows he's right jdhjks (th way he sees it is like. he can b silly sometimes. he's Earned It, but he also trusts Art + wasn't super serious abt tht idea). eventually tho Eric can hardly keep his eyes open n Mallick is just straight up asleep while he's still sitting up so tht's when they all go to bed after making sure every1 is comfortable. they leave a lamp on.

fifth day they pack everything up again n stop 2 walk th trails of this lil park b4 they head home! there's a lil shop near th parking lot so they spend a lil bit of time looking around in there first. they probably pick up a few lil things, souvenirs, n Adam walks around 2 get some pictures. he gets this rly cool one while they're on a bridge, th sun peeking thru the clouds a lil bit n shining down on th water. he's super excited to develop tht one (but he's excited to develop All of them, bc this is his family!!!) + he n Art discuss whether or not they're gonna need another cork board lol. eventually tho they round back to th parking lot n on th way home, they stop at another lil hole-in-th-wall kind of place, but it's just as nice as the first one they'd been to. after tht Eric switches spots w Art n he drives them home!!

they're all exhausted when they get back but they have room to crash w each other while they nap so tht's what they do. they fall asleep all tangled together, Art stretched out w Eric's head on his chest, Adam curled against Eric's back, n Mallick w his head on Art's stomach. there r arms n legs everywhere n tht is okay. they're happy. they love each other. they had a lot of fun on their trip n they're tired, but they're comfortable!! tht's what it's all abt!!! it's just such a good n relaxing experience fr them after all th shit they've been thru.

Javier is an affectionate sort of man and sees no shame in expressing his love openly. So you can expect quick pecks as you pass each other by, sweet kisses by the fire and deep goodbye kisses before he has to leave before a job.

When he returns from being gone for a while, his first thought is to beeline for you, hold you close and capture your lips to express how much he missed you. At least he keeps to himself when you both are on a job ... mostly.

Javier loves being close and intimate with you. He feels like it’s the most natural, fulfilling way to express love to each other. So unless he’s dead-ass passed out, if you want him, Javier’s game. His sex drive is definitely high, although he thinks it’s perfectly reasonable. 

Almost anything you do can turn him on, because he loves admiring you. Brushing your hair aside, dressing, doing something creative, handling a gun, and so on. Arthur likes to walk by and tease him for his mooning.

Similar to Charles, Javier doesn’t have much a possessive streak, he just hates men disrespecting you. His mama didn’t raise him to stand by while his love is being talked down to and disrespected. 

He’ll slid up behind you, wrapping an arm around your waist and brandishing his favorite knife as he asks the man exactly what his intentions are. He’s smiling, but angling the knife so it gleams.

Sometimes he’s in more of a hot-headed mood, and he’ll go straight to a fight if someone puts a hand on you or starts getting in your face. Javier got no patience for that.

It’s obvious you both are together, so anyone in the gang flirting with you is probably just messing around, and he’ll joke back about them stealing you away. But if someone is really pushing it, he doesn’t care if they’re drunk or “messing” around. Javier sits up, stares right at them and tells them to leave you be.

He really doesn’t like you trying to get him jealous, it hurts more than he’d admit. He feels like he expresses his love enough, so there’s no need to play these silly games.

💦 Beach HC

Thank god for some decent warm weather and a beautiful sea. He could die right here in your arms and be a happy man. It’s adorable how much Javier’s eyes glitter when he sees the water, he looks 10 years younger as he pulls you toward the water.

Javier is ready to strip to nothing, but he underestimated the hot sand, so he sticks to pants. He’s totally cool with you wearing nothing though.

He can’t decide if he wants to swim around with you, sit on the beach and enjoy the waves or go after the fish hanging around in the shallows. He alternates between the three, with you joining him and laughing at how excited he gets over finding a a crab or digging up a large shell.

You better watch out, he’ll grab your ankle out of nowhere to pull you under the water. Or he’ll carry you to the deep end and pretend to dunk you. He really enjoys carrying and piggybacking you around in the water. If you can’t swim, Javier is very careful with you and never brings you too deep.

Javier could stay at the beach until the sun begins to set. He’ll catch some fish and roast them over a fire with you while you rest against him. You two just know you’re going to be finding sand in your clothes and equipment for a week, but he doesn’t care at all. 

When you start to doze off, he’ll cover you up and pet your hair as the sun sinks down. Now he can die a happy man.

So, his crush comes on fairly quick and it’s so obvious to everyone and yourself. He can’t help but watch you when you watch by, he’s always grinning and winking at you, he likes hanging around and asking what you’re up to. 

The flirting and charm is cute, but you figured he’d get bored after a while. He was probably only interested because you were pretty and new. Which, that was true, but he was also curious. He started to strike up conversations and ask you about yourself, and he was glad when you were curious about him, too. 

He’ll still wink at you as he plays guitar, but then he’ll nod at you to sit next to him. He’ll crack jokes to hear you laugh, he’ll help you carry things and compliment you whenever you’re wearing something new. His typical “flirting” went straight into “hopeless crush” territory.

You two did dance around each other a little, but Javier isn’t the type of man to go pining for months over someone. All it’ll take is you leaning in and smiling sweetly while he talks, and he can’t help himself from touching your chin and kissing you.

Actually, they’re both very private with their affections. Most people probably wouldn’t even know that they’re in a relationship based on how they act around each other in public.

Jon.. but not because Jon initially planned it, but because he was goaded by Jervis, Edward, and Harley to throw something for himself and his bf. Granted, Jon and Bane’s definition of “big” for Valentine’s day is to bake a cake and go to a nice hibachi restaurant, but they both end up having a really fun time!

I feel like they both know each other pretty well, but I’ll have to go with Jonathan on this because he tends to overthink more. There’s also the fact that Bane has the advantage of getting help from the rest of the Secret Six (who mostly have a genuine respect for Bane) to pick out a nice gift, and Jon just has… Jervis and Eddie. To be fair, Jerv could actually help Jon find a nice gift, but Edward would completely derail any public excursion the Dork Squad might have in trying to get Bane a gift. Bane! I’ve said this before, but Jon isn’t too big on physical intimacy- it takes a lot for him to become vulnerable with someone else that way. Bane enjoys being close to the people he cares about.

Bane will lmao. He’ll take a picture of the sun rising or of some fresh dew on some roadside dandelions whenever he’s working out each morning and he’ll send some saccharine message like “such a beautiful morning… and yet it pales in comparison to how I feel about you, my cariño…” Jon gets so flustered over these types of messages that instead of responding, he makes coffee and a full southern breakfast to share with Bane whenever he gets back.

Neither! Bane might peruse through astrology compatibility out of curiosity once or twice, but that’s about it.

BANE. BANE. BANE. Jon can get pretty protective too, but Bane has the beef to literally throw Jon over his shoulder and get him away from danger.

It depends! Jon is a lot more likely to get a bad cold or the stomach flu than his bf is, but if Bane is trying to cut himself off from taking venom (I HC him as being in his post-venom phase, but he might take it in emergencies) then Bane gets much, much sicker whenever he’s trying to fight off the side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Bane takes diligent care of Jon whenever he is sick, but Jon is much better at helping Bane recover because he has more experience in taking care of other people.

💜: who said "i love you" first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?

Hmmm… I’d have to go with Bane on this one! When it comes to love languages, Jon and Bane definitely lean more towards actions than through words, but I think Bane is much blunter about his feelings, and Jon is an Old Kuudere.

Because of Law’s high level of ambition and cunning, I would say that he’s a Slytherin like you. Law’s a Libra, and there are some conflicting opinions on the compatibility of Cancer women and Libra men. Personally, I think that the biggest issue in a relationship with him would be trust. Both of you have struggles when it comes to opening up to someone, and sometimes Law may seem more cold-hearted than he really means to be. Once you two spend enough time together though, I think the two of you would be able to bond over time. Sometimes he might get a bit embarrassed if you are in public together and you are a little too loving and affectionate; he’s more likely to return that affection if you two are alone together, though.

Law doesn’t get very moody, and once he gets to know you he can tell sometimes whenever you try to hide the fact that depression is taking a toll on you. He wouldn’t openly say that he knows you’re trying to stay strong in front of him, but he’ll quietly ask if you need anything. He’s protective towards the few people in his life he cares about, which definitely includes you. And like you, he would die for the people he loves.

I briefly considered matching you with Doflamingo (since you mentioned liking him as well as Law), but because you dislike people who are too cold/heartless and have a big ego, I think Law would be a better fit. Law’s not humble, per se, he just knows his strengths and weaknesses and won’t pretend he’s better than he actually is. Doffy, on the other hand, is one of the most egotistical characters in the series and one of the most evil/merciless. I know you mentioned you were lawful evil, but I think you and Law would be more compatible. I know that Law can come across as cold and unemotional sometimes, but he’s a lot warmer with people he’s close to (like the rest of the Heart Pirates, and you of course).

A Reaper76 and McHanzo College AU that I’ll probably never write...

Yet another HC/AU in collaboration with @icey-and-missy . Enjoy!

To say Jack and Gabe's relationship was complicated was a damn understatement.

They lived together, made each other food, and even slept in the same bed. But, God forbid you say that they are in a relationship or married.

Jack has never been openly affectionate with anyone, which caused the complication in the first place. It is no a brainer that the two are very much so into each other. Hell, Jack wears a silver band on his damn ring finger given to him by Gabriel as a birthday present.

Because of the obvious attraction, they steer clear away from each other when on school grounds. If Jack is out and about, Gabriel stays in his office. If Gabe is walking around, he usually steers clear of students and or Ana. Especially Ana. She harasses him too much about his whole crack-head relationship with Jack every time she sees him.

Many students know and ask stupid questions like: "If you and Mr. Reyes get married, who is the bride?", etc. And, for the most part, Jack avoids the questions and continues on with his class, etc.

But, Gabe? Yeah, he answers and he is very sarcastic and sassy when doin so(e.g. "Professor Reyes, are you and Morrison sleeping together?" "Probably. Who knows").

Overall, it is a friends with benefits sort of deal. But, they care about each and all that, they are just afraid of commitment.

Now, this goes on for another year or so and, in the semester of the new year, Gabe has some new students and, well, one of them catches his eye: Jesse McCree.

Now, Jesse is a bit rough around the edges. He skips class, doesn't do assignments, sasses teachers, etc. But, the weird thing that Gabe notices is that he is passing in his class (Photography).

Then, word goes around and Gabe finds out that Jesse McCree is sort of a prodigy in a majority of his classes. The kid is just real done with life because of how he was treated in the foster system; just does not give a fuck about college. And, Gabe is heartbroken cause this kid is throwing his future away and shit.

So, of course, Gabe butts in on his life. Jesse, at first, pushes him away because, in his entire life, no one has cared about him. He went to foster parent after foster parent and everyone of them seemed to give up on him after a few months, with the longest stay being a year, but that was because he was turning 18 soon after and would no longer be in the foster system. So, he is pretty jaded.

Now, Gabriel just continues for days on talking with Jesse and looking out for him. And, because of this, Jack starts to notice.

So, when they are home, Jack is all like "Gabe, what do you see in that kid?" And Gabe, giving Jack the most stern look imaginable just says, "The kid's got potential, Jack. And he's throwing it all away like it's nothing." Now, Jack just rolls his eyes until he realizes the look on Gabe’s face.

"You're serious?" Gabe just nods.

So, the next day, at the end of Jack's English 101 class, he calls Jesse over to his desk. Jesse thinks it is because he is not doing so hot in his class, which is true. But, instead, Jack is all "Gabe's really taken a liking to you, Jesse."

Jesse, though surprised, does not show it and smirks, saying, "What old man? You jealous?"

Jack just rolls his eyes and replies, "No. On the contrary, it seems he wants you to do better. But, you're not taking it seriously at all from what he's told me."

Jesse becomes angry because this was clearly some kind of bait. He does not want anyone's sympathy or to be fooled with.

"Oh yeah? Well, I ain't falling for that bullshit."

Jack just looks at him. "What?"

Jesse continues, saying, "You're just trying to fool me into thinkin' I can do better. Well, news flash! Guys like me don't got nothing to live for!"

Jack is about to reply when Jesse gets up and bolts it, both not wanting to talk and also due to the fact that he starts tearing up. He does not want anyone to see him weak.

As he leaves, Jack texts Gabe, who just so happens to be on a break before he has to teach his class, and explains how he tried to talk with Jesse.

Oh yeah? How'd it go? Gabe texts back.

Not good. And his heart just drops.

For the next few days, Jesse does not come to class. Now, it would have been easy to write off as him ditching. But, after what happened between Jesse and Jack, Jack and Gabe cannot help but start to worry.

When Jesse does return and goes to Gabe's class, Gabe notices that something is way off about Jesse.

So, right as Jesse is about to leave at the end of class, Gabe calls Jesse over and he just stops at the doorway. Gabe calls out again. And Jesse is... trembling.

Immediately, he walks over and turns him around, seeing the big shiner on Jesse's face, along with a few scrapes and bruises. Gabe is beyond pissed and really wants to kick the ass of whoever did this to him.

However, before he could do any of that, Gabe walks out of the building with Jesse and heads to his car, letting Jesse in the passenger's side. And, just as Gabe starts driving out of the parking lot, Jesse just breaks down and sobs.

Gabe is so taken aback by this that he takes his eyes off of the road and almost swerves off. Of course, they survive and make it to Gabe and Jack's apartment. Jack is already there, sipping a cup of coffee when he sees Gabe. He's about to say "Hey" till he sees a worried look on Gabe's face and a bruised Jesse in tow.

Immediately, Jack grabs the first-aid kit and starts patching Jesse up while Gabe is sitting next to him and comforting him. And Jesse is just so overwhelmed by all of this. This love and care that he has never received before is now being thrust upon him by two of his teachers that could care less about him if they wanted. And, he just sobs again.

Jack and Gabe freeze up a bit because, to Jack, he is all Oh my God he's crying! What did I do?!?! and Gabe's all Not again!. However, they quickly go back to comforting him and ask Jesse on what is wrong.

That is when Jesse tells them everything--why he was beat up, his past with foster care and his experience with being in the system, explaining how no one cared about him, etc. And it just leaves Jack and Gabe in disbelief.

So, after patching him up and explaining that they have been worried about him and just being so caring, Jesse starts letting them into his life.

For the rest of the semester, Jesse opens up to them more and more, and Gabe and Jack start inviting him to dinner every so often, just being a pseudo family.

Now, this is where Jack and Gabe's relationship are put to the test because they are kind of being parents/father figures to Jesse and it is getting serious.

So, one night, Jack and Gabe are doing the dishes and Jack says, out of the blue, "Gabe... How come we aren't dating?"

Gabe just kind of laughs it off saying, "What? Your students finally getting to you?"

And Jack just says, "Well, we've been living together for some time, known each other for awhile, fucked a few times before-"

"Jack."

"The only reason we aren't 'official' is because you're scared."

"So are you."

Jack chuckles. "Guess we both are."

So, next day, after a night of talking it out and realizing that they want this relationship to be more, they throw those rules on not being within another's space in the workplace and slowly become affectionate towards one another while at work.

However, it does come to a point where Ana finds them making out in one of the closets at the university. And she is all "I'm happy for you two, but please stop." Of course, they come out, a bit disheveled, but still.

Anyway, this goes on, everyone is chill with it, Jesse is pretty happy for his "dads" and is also doing pretty good in his classes; currently going for a major in journalism and a minor in photography.

Also, Jesse finds himself a boyfriend, Hanzo, who is a barista at campus and is majoring in kinesiotherapy, wanting to become a physical therapist. They also happen to be in the same photography class, since Hanzo needed a few more credits.

Now, at first, it was more of a crush kind of deal for McCree. So, what does he do?

Flirting. So much flirting.

And he does this every time he goes to the cafe on campus when it is Hanzo's shift. And Hanzo is kind of like "??????" at first because he just got to America and someone is already flirting with him.

Now, at first, Hanzo was a bit annoyed by this, especially when he realized that the two were in the same class. However, as Jesse continues this stunt, Hanzo kind of just lets him, thinking that Jesse does it all the time. Yet, one day, Jesse asks for Hanzo to model for him for the assignment they needed to do, which was figuring out lighting in a picture. Hanzo agrees, having already finished his assignment.

So, the next day, they're at the park and Hanzo is doing a few poses. And, surprise, Hanzo is kind of self-conscious.

"Jesse, this is ridiculous. These poses... Are you sure they're alright? They seem... unappealing." When he says this, Jesse cannot help but laugh. Hanzo is peeved by the other's reaction and almost leaves. However, he is stopped when Jesse says, "Well, darlin', I don't see why you're nervous. You're beautiful in every shot I've taken so far." And, Hanzo is baffled, his face turning a bright red instantly.

The rest of the day is just them, with Jesse still taking pictures and the two of them chatting, etc. And, when he turns in his assignment, the picture is of Hanzo, sun setting in the background with the sky just a mixture of blues and different shades of pinks and oranges, his back leaning against the balcony rail that was on the second floor at the university, and Hanzo is just smiling at Jesse, and it is so warm and genuine and perfect. McCree just melts overall, even when it was not the final draft of the picture yet at first. He is just so in love.

Now back to Jack and Gabe. They have been official for a few months now, even though they have been seeing one another as not official for who knows how long, and one day, they are just talking about life and the future and the fact that Jesse has a boyfriend (low-key kind of teasing, but what do they know?).

Then, after a few minutes of silence, Gabe, who was a bit more hesitant about the whole relationship when it became official because of Jack’s own hesitation beforehand and how Jack was not the most affectionate, says, out of nowhere "Marry me?" And Jack almost screams, his head shooting up to meet Gabe's gaze.

"Are you serious?"

"Very." That is when he screams with excitement and just pounces on Gabe, who was definitely not expecting that response from Jack at all.

They get married some time in June. Jesse is Gabe's best man. Hanzo is there too, along with Ana, her daughter, and a few other close friends and family. The ceremony is small and simple, but that is just how they like it.

Bonus: On the year of their first anniversary, Jack and Gabe celebrate it by having a party at a bowling alley with close friends and family. And, of course, Jesse and Hanzo are invited, and have been and still are together. Moreover, by this point, Jesse is practically calling both Jack and Gabe his dads (Jack being dad, Gabe being jefe and/or papa or pa). In addition, Jack and Gabe call him their son (Jack: Son, Gabe: Mijo and/or son).

Now, everyone is at the party and Gabe calls everyone over because Gabe and Jack have an announcement and they are beaming, having the brightest smiles on their faces. Jesse, of course, does not know what it is going to be, just like everyone else in the room. Gabe starts, "Mijo, can you come here please?"

Though suspicious, he goes up to Gabe and Jack.

"What is it?" Jack grabs his book bag and takes out some papers, handing them over to Jesse. Gabe and Jack are still smiling from ear to ear, Jesse is skimming over the papers, and the entire place is silent.

It was not until he was a few pages in did he realize that these documents given to him were adoption papers. And, Jesse is shocked. His eyes are wide with realization and he is using a free hand to comb through his hair.

Hanzo notices this and rushes over to McCree, not sure as to what was happening.

"McCree?" he asks worriedly. "McCree, what's wrong?"

All McCree does is look at Hanzo and whisper "Adoption papers..."

Hanzo stills.

"I'm getting adopted." Hesitantly, he hands the papers to Hanzo, who is holding onto them securely, and walks over to Gabe and Jack, embracing them both. He starts to cry. They start to cry. He goes over to Hanzo and hugs him tightly, who is also tearing up.

After all these years, Jesse finally got the one thing that he thought he would never have: a family.

HCs! Hanzo and McCree are taking their s/o out on a date. What do they choose to do, how does it go, and do they get a buncha kisses at the end?

hmm, this will be interesting. Considering I know how you like them, I’m gonna go with the way the request is worded.

McCree

Where they would go:

He’d choose to take them to lunch first

He’d take them somewhere public and comfortable, but not somewhere that’s considered a fast food restaurant.

It’d be somewhere that’s he more than familiar with the food items they serve, so if they want to know what’s good or what he’d recommend, he can answer in a heart beat.

Afterwards, he’s take them somewhere close by, but not so close that they can guess what he’s up to.

He’s a romantic about where he takes them next.

If the sun is still up and he’s not called back for emergency something or another, he’d take them over to an animal shelter and let them pick out that one animal that he somehow knows they’ve been wanting to get.

He’s been asking Genji to keep an eye on them when he’s away, and Genji told him about the animal and Jesse just don’t have the heart to say ‘no’.

How it goes:

It’d go great!

They’d both be cracking jokes and laughing and just making it something fun.

Might even share a bit of gossip about the Overwatch members, nothing too detailed, but just enough details to make them laugh or gasp or grin.

Genji is never gonna be able to forget about a certain mishap from the last mission.

When they realize what’s about to happen at the animal shelter, McCree has a bit of a mild panic attack because they start crying and they have to explain to him that they’re happy tears and not sad or upset.

After:

After the animal shelter and they have the new pet either in their arms or on a leash and at their side, McCree walks them back to their home where SURPRISE all the necessary supplies for the new pet is already in the hall and waiting to get set up.

He so owes Genji for this, because who else would he be able to ask and get all this stuff from so quickly without them being the wiser or ratting him out?

The cyborg is the best bro a man could ever ask for.

After everything is set up or put away and the animal is down for the night, Jesse takes their hand and, after making sure that he has eye contact, brushes his lips against the back of their knuckles.

They’d give him that breathless laugh that he loves so much and that makes his heart flip every time he hears it that he’s left a grinning loon when they bring him up from his half-bow for a real kiss.

Hanzo

Where they would go:

Somewhere quiet and secluded, but peaceful and colorful.

Think a public garden or a botanical park

He’d guide them around the area and murmur softly into their ear what certain plants, trees, or flowers are

Because he’s not an openly affectionate person, he’d use this time and this particular method to tell them what certain flowers mean or what characteristics people have given to certain trees.

“Ah, an aster. I was not sure if I would see this here. Some use it as a symbol love.”

“This is a red carnation, I do believe they stand for admiration.”

In all honesty, I see him having prepared this day well ahead of time, so by the time noon comes around, he’d guide them over towards a spot where a picnic is all set up in a way that would make their s/o either grin or sigh happily.

After lunch, he’d take them to another area, probably a part of the park or garden that is off limits

He’s a ninja, their security measures mean nothing to his skills.

Then he’d show them the things that most people really wouldn’t get to see

They wouldn’t be leaving until well after the moon is up, and even then he’d take them to this neat little spot where the moon reflects just right off of a river or a pond or whatever body of water the place has.

How it goes:

Surprisingly, it goes rather well.

Hanzo hadn’t been sure if they would have enjoyed themselves there, but is relieved and delighted that they did, and would feel a bit of pride because he set this up all on his own, thank you very much.

“Genji, I am aware of how to set up a date.”

“Are you sure brother? I can offer to help make this go smoothly.”

After:

He’d give them a small book and inside would be a few flowers that he had pressed, along with quite a few empty pages.

The flowers would all be something that, after a bit of research, would be found to have something to do with affection, love, luck, and fondness.

Over the next few weeks, flowers would mysteriously find their way onto their desk, each one would have a handwritten note on their meaning.

The camellias are probably the most favored of all the ones that get put into the book, because they’re always left with a note saying “gift to a man”, “longing for you”, “flame in my heart”.

The carnations are a close second with their notes of “my heart aches for you”, “pure love”.

The next time they see him - actually see him, because he’s a damn ninja and it’s often difficult to catch sight of him and corner him - since the date, he has a primrose in hand and is in the middle of writing the note.

He’ll flush a bright red when innocently asked what this one means.

He won’t be able to bring himself to say it out loud, so he’ll finish writing it down and then look away while offering both the flower and the note to them

The note reads: “I can’t live without you”

It’s the biggest confession he’ll ever be able to make and they both know this and pull him in for one of their sweetest kisses ever shared between them.
