I can't stop thinking about Bruce coming to the realization that his children are grown up.

How does the traffic light trio handle babies? Since you know, Savage and Rumble exist (question for babies in general, not just the Savage and Rumble) (there got to be a cute nickname for this pair of twins)

MK loves babies! And they like him! He's always been an ethusiastic big brother since Bai He came into their lives as a toddler. He def strikes me as a kid who picked out his future childrens names decades in advance. When he first holds the Twins he just starts blubbering from the cuteness and kissing their little faces all over (affection reciprocated by the twins). Tends to spoil little kids with affection and treats. He def wants like 6 or 8 kids of his own when he grows up.

Mei is a solid Big Sister. Although she's good at handling little kids with all their rambunctious energy, she kinda gets deer-the-headlights around small babies. Like; "How are you this small??" and being a little scared that her dragon-ness scares them. The Twins adore their big sister and will climb all over her to show their love. Lots of physical activities and play time.

Red Son... he's terrified of babies. They're smelly, loud, sticky, and seem to hypnotize every rational being in the universe (Including his own parents). I want at least 7 of these!" DBK and PIF were uber delighted). Like Mei he gets nervous about if his powers/appearance scares the babies, even more so cus of his fire. Takes a while before Mac and SWK can convince him to take off the oven mitts before holding one of the twins. Heavily values mental stimulation; is the first to bust out the flash cards and educational toys.

i just like.... kinda wanna let u know how much this fic means to me. like fr. like seriously. it means a lot to me. we've been mutuals for a while so i feel like now's def a good time (and a long time coming lmao)

iirc i found ur fic when i was in the danganronpa trenches in like, 2021/2022 i think? it was summer and i had nothing better to do with my free time and i was super bored and ishimondo was my personality and i found it while going thru ao3 and was like "yeah. this sounds cool"

and i did NOT know what i was getting into let me tell you. adored the writing really fast. ur skill level actually blew me the fuck away like. instantly. all the characters were incredibly in character, everything was so detailed and i LOVED the fact that you made your writing very emotion driven. like you wrote a lot with like, exaggerated punctuation and pauses and spaces and stuff that i rarely ever see but i feel like your writing was like, so much better for that??? its something i've started to use in my writing because it just draws you in so much and just. puts you into their shoes almost instantly. like it sounds like you're in their head. like i think like that (got that narrator brain in me) and it was just so cool to see someone write like that. got a lot of good moments

and i honest to god binged that fic because it had me by a chokehold. like i'm talking i barely got sleep because i was so excited to read the next chapter the next day that my body would wake me up earlier. and i'd pull it out and binge the next chapter. and when i got to a point where the chapters where still being updated, i remember checking like. every sunday night or so every week to see if it got updated. so many cliffhangers that i was not normal about..........

and i recommended it to EVERYONE i knew that was into danganronpa. like i did not care if they usually read fanfiction or not i would sit there and go on infodump rants about this gay fanfiction i found on the gay fanfiction site and ik i confused them but like. that was how good it was to me. felt like it was a real book. and not only that i honest to god felt like i was reading about me.

like the way you wrote taka meant and continues to mean so much to me to this fucking day because i rarely ever see characters that are like me, at least in an honest to god way. and i was already connected to taka and loved him but i think you made him feel like an extension of me in a way and it just like. idk. it spoke to me man. ik i sound dramatic but it did.

like an autistic queer kid with a strict parent being thrown into so many situations where you just automatically assume everyone else is watching you, judging you, based on past trauma and experiences and just. at the same time so emotional and passionate and just genuine for lack of a better term. and the panic attacks that were written i actually almost had some during reading it because i felt it. that felt like me honest to god (not a bad thing btw!!! i am ok!! but that's a compliment because that's how accurate it was!!)

and during a time where i was dating people who just. idk its hard to explain. i knew they cared about me but there were so many times where there were disconnects. sexuality and gender (gender's not really a part of the story ik but yk what i mean) was a big one. and i felt how he would feel when mondo wasn't exactly the best when it came to his behaviors and expressions of love.

and now i'm with someone who is like. mondo at all his best moments. and even when he matches mondo's lower ones it feels like, there's more times where we can do what they did in the fic and work through it. be there for each other because even if we're both fucked up yk we can like. work through it. and that's so cool honestly?? its not transactional, it means something. i've felt both sides and it's so. crazy to me. it's just wild.

and while i didn't read a lot of it (mental health was NOT in a space where i could i'm gonna be so real) the other installment, the one where mondo comes over to taka's house and they gotta hide and stuff? i've felt that. god i've felt that. my current boyfriend (also a trans man) and i have had so many times where we've had to act as "friends" and hide our romantic gestures and being so deathly afraid of getting caught yk?

idk this fic made me feel seen, and i wonder if there's like... anyone else that feels that way. idk i feel like their definitely is. and i just kinda wanna like. thank you for writing something that just. made me feel heard in a time when i really really needed it. even if we didn't know each other it felt so wild to have a stranger sit there and give me and indirect hug and let me know that i am not the only guy struggling out there with this stuff. it's changed the way i view myself and how i view the world and it's so cool to me that even fanfiction of all things can do that. that's nuts man. you did that and i really wanna emphasize that you should be proud of that. that's so cool. you're writing is so fucking cool man.

It's easy as a fic writer to feel discouraged with your writing, or to feel like you're not as "good" as other people, and it's things like this that remind me that whether or not I'm a "good writer," what I write does matter to people. And that's just... really special to me, so thank you for writing this all. It means so much to me.

I'm glad you like the dramatic pauses and the way I write, though! When I was younger, I always tried to limit doing that sort of thing, since I knew it wasn't considered "good" or "proper" writing. But with TPWP I just... decided to let myself write how I wanted to write and not think too much about it. I wrote TPWP kind of how I think, because I wanted it to feel like it was Taka's thoughts and emotions, even if it wasn't in first person. And I'm really glad that came across!

I've always been really big into psychology and introspection, which is one of the main reasons I write about things like that a lot. I like to get into characters heads and try to figure them out. See what they'd be like if this thing happened, or if this thing hadn't happened, etc. I write about struggles, because I struggled as a kid, but in more quiet ways. I mean, all things considered I had a good life. supportive, loving parents and older brother, good grades, people generally liked me and I never got in trouble. But I was so determined to do well that I psyched myself out. I was terrified of disappointing people and losing what I had, and I crumbled in middle and high school. Luckily I had good parents so I was able to stumble through it, but it always left me feeling isolated, since I could never articulate why I felt so off inside. It wasn't until I took an "abnormal psych" class in college that I even realized I had intense anxiety.

All of this to say that I'm glad I was able to resonate with you through my writing. I could never find the words to articulate myself when I was younger, so I took to writing to try and connect with people, to get a message across. Most of my stories have some form of "moral" or "lesson" that I'm trying to get across, lessons that I had to learn myself growing up. TPWP's was that perfection is impossible and that you have to learn to accept yourself for who you are. Honestly, I put the most of myself into Taka, since while I never had a distant parental figure who wanted me to be absolutely perfect, I was kinda that figure to myself. I wanted so badly to be "perfect" and "the favorite" and when I wasn't, I freaked out. I shut down and couldn't even explain to my parents why. So, with TPWP, I wanted to let other people know that it's okay to just... be you.

I don't know if any of this is making any sense, sorry. I had a long day at work and my head is a bit jumbled. Mostly just... thanks for writing this. Things have been tough lately between school and work, and it's nice to be reminded that my stories do matter to people. I never wanted to be a professional writer, but I did always want to write something that made someone, somewhere, feel something. Hopefully something good, something cathartic.

Oh, and as for the sex thing... that was honestly unintended, ha. But I'm Ace, so to me, that's what sex is. Or what it should be. A way to connect emotionally with your partner above all else. Honestly, the only reason I wrote sex into TPWP was to explore the way it would interact with their friendship, not to be like... sexual, ha. Glad you liked how I wrote it!

Anyway, thanks again for writing this!! And I'm glad we're mutuals too! Yeah, I am part of some interesting fandoms on my main blog, but I'm glad it's not too off-putting, ha. I'll try and check out that show some day, though! I don't have a lot of emotional energy to get into a new show at the moment (as I'm sure some people can understand, since starting a new fandom can be a lot at times), but maybe once (IF) things calm down for me I'll take a look! I have seen a lot of posts about the monkie kid show, not just from you, so it's something I might check out one of these days. I'm mostly waiting for Our Flag Means Death season 2 to air tomorrow so I can get washed away into Pirate Town for the next month or so, while the episodes release. 😅😅😅

Steddie 4 Twin Size Mattress

Nancy let Steve sleep while she got ready for her date with Robin. He seemed comfortable on her bed, she always did have the better mattress of the two of them. Before she left, she made sure to leave a note for when Steve woke up.

'Steve- set your frq to Eddie's adults- only (kids def listen in) tty when you're ready :) -Nancy'

She set the note on her nightstand with Steve's radio and laid a blanket over him before heading to Family Video. Robin was behind the counter when she walked in, looking through a stack of movies.

"You're looking good. What movie do you want to watch?" Robin called from her stack.

"I don't know, Cinderella, maybe?"

"Hey, everything alright? You took a while. " Robin asked as she continued rummaging through the tapes.

"Yeah, I went to check on Steve and his parents are home and it took a while. " Nancy responded awkwardly enough for Robin to take note. She stood up and leaned on the counter between herself and Nancy.

"Okay, what's wrong? He never talks to me about them." Robin was trying not to pry, but Steve was always so reserved about them. She'd never thought to ask Nance. She looked at her girlfriend as she took a deep breath. "I thought they liked you?" Robin prompted.

"They like me fine, they don't like Steve." Nancy finally huffed out. She looked at the floor, unsure if she should continue. When she had first found out how poorly the older boy's parents treated him she wanted to tell the whole town. Steve had to beg Nancy to keep it a secret.

"I don't like you keeping things from me," Robin leaned to catch Nancy's eye, "but if you really for some reason can't say it, I won't force you."

"It's just, I mean you had to have noticed all the, his scars. And like, his hearing?" Nancy stuttered out what she could, trying not to make herself cry or feel like she was betraying her ex. Robin could hear the strain in her voice.

"Nance, is this something other people don't know?" Robin asked carefully, grabbing her partners hands across the counter. Nancy took in a gaspy breath and nodded.

"He made me promise not to tell anyone. I couldn't, I don't want to make his, I don't know, what would happen to him." She got out between breaths.

"It's okay, hey, I know, so it's not just you anymore. We can help him out." Robin felt herself scrambling to comfort her. Nancy and Steve always talked happily about their time dating if it ever came up, stating mutual differences as their reason for not working out. Robin knew they loved each other.

"No! You can't tell anyone. Steve made me promise." Nancy started panicking, "you haven't met his dad but he's tall and-"

"Woah woah, Nance, I'm not gonna tell anyone." Robin quickly interrupted her spiral, "I mean we can check on him and convince him to get like glasses." The smaller woman immediately sat down on the chair behind the counter and huffed at Robin.

"He's fine, and it'll be fine. He's at my place sleeping now. Are we going to eat?" Nancy took a deep breath and changed the topic. There was no point getting worked up over Steve's parents, they'd be out of town again soon enough. Robin gladly dove into a discussion about which restaurants in town were the best to eat at, referencing a chart she had made while working that day.

"You're an absolute nerd." Nancy chuckled when Robin pulled out the chart and started explaining it.

"There's nothing wrong with wanting to make sure you like where you're eating." She replied.

"I was just thinking the diner." Nancy said and Robin shook her head. She smiled and listened quietly to her girlfriend as she rambled about the different pros and cons of each place. If Robin ever decided to focus on something, no matter how random, she would be on it for hours. It was always cute. Robin kept talking but stuttered when Nancy reached for her hand.

Steve woke with a start, flashes of demobats, vecna, and demogorgons replayed as he fought to catch his breath. Eddie, Barb, Nancy, Robin, Dustin, were all stuck to the ceiling when he shut his eyes. /they're not there/ Steve thought harshly to himself /they made it out, we made it out/.

As the panic edged away he realized he was still in Nancy's room, the golden light of the evening sun coming through the window. Steve found the note Nancy had left for him and switched his radio on.

"This is Harrington, seeing what's up, over." Steve laughed as he spoke into the receiver. When it wasn't an end of the world scenario, it made him feel childish to be using a walkie talkie.

"Hello, Hair, this is Eddie the Revived, you should come over, over." Eddie's voice rang through clearly, making Steve smile. He got up, grabbed Eddie's jacket and ran downstairs to get his keys and head over.

Eddie was standing in the center of his small living room, debating how he was going to get Steve to talk. He had beers out, a bowl packed, and joints rolled and hell, he could get something stronger if that's what Steve needed. Nancy had said after Steve left the other night that she was worried about him. Eddie could remember more than a handful of times Steve had come to school with bruises or strange limps in years past.

"Someone needs to talk to him." Nancy had said the second Harrington had pulled out of the park.

"Wheeler, we've all been through it since the world ending. You've been through just as much as he has." Eddie sighed, thinking Steve would just want to be left alone.

"You don't know anything about his parents, so I'll give you a pass, but he's been through a lot more than you think." She bit back. Eddie didn't bother trying to argue with her about it, they were both drunk and Robin was asleep on Nancy's lap anyway.

But now Harrington was coming over. Nancy had radioed saying she checked on Steve and she didn't want him alone too long, and asked Eddie to try talking to him. So here he was, trading out the beers once again with cold ones from the fridge as he waited nervously for Steve. What were they even supposed to talk about?

Eddie was broken from his thoughts when he heard Steve park in front of his house. He tried to look casual as he opened the door to greet his friend. Steve had a smile on his face but it wasn't enough to hide the exhausted look in his eyes. Eddie handed him a beer as they sat down together on the couch.

"Is it uh, just us?" Steve tried not to sound too interested in the idea of hanging out with Eddie alone, even though the thought was making his palms sweaty.

"Yeah, for now. The ladies may stop by when they're done bumping at Family Video." Eddie laughed as he kicked his feet up on the coffee table. Steve chuckled awkwardly and glanced at the TV. Did Robin tell him she was dating Nancy? "Feel free to pick out whatever." Eddie invited him after a moment.

Steve moved over to the piles of tapes beside the television and in boxes next to the couch. He was surprised at the variety in Eddie's collection. Horror movies, action he expected but there were also a ton of westerns, rom coms, and even some chick flicks. Maybe some were Wayne's? After carefully examining a few options he settled on The Breakfast Club, pressing play before going back to his spot on the couch.

"Good choice" Eddie flashed a smile at Steve that made him melt. He was suddenly very aware of how cold the beer was in his hands, and quickly set it down so he didn't drop it.

They sat in relative silence for the first 20 minutes of the movie. Eddie couldn't think of a way to try and get Steve to talk. He couldn't just be like "Hey Steve, Nancy says you're traumatized and need to talk to someone" right? Still thinking it over, he reached forward and grabbed the bong off the table to start it before handing it off to Steve.

"So, what's been up lately?" Eddie finally forced out after a few passes of the piece. Steve stiffened slightly, taking another hit while he thought of what to say.

"I've just been, you know, house sitting for my parents and, uh, yeah, not a lot going on but, busy... kinda." He fumbled over his lie and felt himself blush, when he glanced at Eddie he couldn't read his expression. Fuck, it wasn't working.

"Steve, I'm gonna level with you. Nancy, Robin, we're all worried about you, man. I'm not gonna try and force you to open up or whatever. If you want to sit here and just watch TV and smoke that's cool. But I'm also here, Steve, and I'll listen to you, and nothing will leave these walls." Eddie leaned forward with a serious look on his face, making sure Steve was paying attention. There was less than a foot of space between them now. Steve couldn't decide what to do next. Some small part of him wanted to lean forward pull Eddie to him and shut them both up. There was so much he wanted to ramble about, but what if Eddie decided he was crazy and never talked to him again? What if this ruins his one good thing right now? He can't lose the Munson's. Wayne's trailer had become Steve's safe place, but he was worried that would be ruined if he started talking.

"Hey, Stevie." Eddie placed his hand on Steve's, pulling him away from the spiral. "If you're going to freak yourself out about spilling your guts to me, don't do it. It's just that Nancy mentioned you needing to relax."

"Of course she did." Steve half sighed as he tried to relax a little. It was sweet of Eddie to try and take off any pressure to talk. He sat quiet a moment while he thought, pulling his hand away.

"It's not that I don't want to talk." Steve finally admitted, causing Eddie's head to snap in his direction. "I really just have no idea where to start, Eds. Sometimes I'm pretty sure I made half of it up. Like I'm lying." He continued to stare at his hands in his lap. He couldn't bear to see the pity on Eddie's face.

"I'm not worried about how much of it you're sure is true. " Eddie replied evenly, "I just want to hear how it's been for you, saving the world so many times. It doesn't even have to be in order." Steve finally glanced up and saw nothing but serious sincerity on the boy's face.

"Can I get another beer?" Steve shyly asked, feeling himself smile at the wave of acceptance he felt. Before he could get up, Eddie had jumped up and grabbed the bottle. He came back with two cold beers and a Batman lunchbox, opening the drinks first.

Steve noticed quickly the lunchbox was Eddie's stash container. He studied Eddie's ringed hands as he pulled out a few baggies and a grinder to refill the bowl. One was white and off to the side, and Eddie didn't actually touch it while he was packing. The other was a small amount of weed.

"I have some other stuff here. If you're interested." Eddie mumbled as he started to roll a joint with the extra product in the bag. Steve tried not to make a disgusted face, it wasn't that Eddie had them, he knew Eddie was a dealer. It was just...

"I don't really uh, consume, most of the time. Not since the Russians really." Steve shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Eddie immediately placed the not-weed back in the box and closed it with one hand.

"My bad. I don't have to have that around." He immediately apologized without looking up from the paper he was rolling. Eddie didn't even seem to notice how strange Steve felt with all this. With him it just felt casual.

"It's cool, it's just they kinda gave me and Robin something and it was not a great trip." Steve tried to lighten the mood. It was not working

"That sounds, fucking terrifying, honestly. You've been interrogated by Russians?" Eddie finally broke his cool demeanor, setting the joint on the table and turning to face Steve.

"Yeah, under the mall. In a secret bunker where they were opening a gate to the upside down." He replied.

"That's fucking crazy!" Despite this being traumatizing to Steve, they both seemed to laugh at how wild the thought was.

Steve found himself telling Eddie details he had never dared repeat to himself about the StarCourt fight. At first he tried to stick to the lighthearted things, like how he and Robin fell over while tied to chairs. Every now and then Eddie would stifle a face and ask a question, causing Steve's description to get a little darker.

"Well, you know, I was only seeing out of one eye and hallucinating at this point, but it's funny-"

"Steve, why could you only see out of one eye?" Eddie interrupted, trying to sound calm but failing.

"Oh, they beat the shit out of me." This time instead of laughing, Steve felt his voice crack. Something about Eddie's expression finally broke him. "I-I thought I was going... I was sure it was over." He took in a shaky breath as he felt Eddie's hand on his shoulder.

"You're a tough mother fucker, Harrington." He said as he watched Steve run a hand through his hair.

"Eddie?"

"Yeah?" Eddie reached for the joint he'd rolled and pulled a lighter out of his pocket.

"Can I stay here tonight?"

Eddie blew smoke out and handed the joint over.

"Anytime."

The girl dad agenda for Aemond (and honestly aegon) is so strong. George fumbled with many parts of the dance but not making little aemondcito a girl was one of those times.

so the day aemyrah found out were having twins, they were GAGGED.

Fun fact: they thought it was going to be one girl and one boy until like her last appointment because the doctors misread the initial screening.

The names (much like they are now to me lmao) was a thing capital tm. Aemyrah had long debates about it. They did not even go back and forth about Baelor. His name is obviously very... Targaryen lmao. Not that myrah minded that, but she ofc wanted to suggest names that fall in line with her family lineage as well - especially for her girlies. So they settled on: Daena and Dalia (could be spelled dahlia or daliah). Though Daena falls into the 'Valyrian' camp I think both are different from like Baelor or Aerion.

Aemond is for sure a storyteller (while myrah is a singer). When the girls are to stir crazy, you can bet them hearing a story from dad is gonna put them to sleep.

Daena is horse girl, like her paternal grandma was, so you can imagine the whole stable aemond gets her once she is old enough to start riding. While Dalia is into things like dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading (I see baelor being a sports/academics guy and Aerion getting his mom's creative eye). No expense is sparred for their classes. Either way... Aemond and Myrah are kind of stage parents lmaooo.

Aemond, though can get a bit carried away with work, does try to attend every competition, match, meeting etc he can for all the kids. And he’s very much that parent that knows the rule book and is not afraid to show it 💀

Okay so right now the things eating my brain alive are hypothermia, self-sacrifice, and like...the moment someone finds the whumpee, if that makes sense? I love a good Finding And Realization from a rescuer.

2. Least favorite whump trope(s)?

Reallyyyyy really not a fan of pet whump, for many reasons. I have my own story that features it, but that's because I know where I'm going with it and can avoid all the stuff I hate about it. Also betrayal? I dunno, I've been betrayed enough IRL, it just makes me too sad. :(

3. Top 3 whump scenes and why?

OKAY SO. Hear me out. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers!

The main ending of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time/Space/Sky. They're just so sad and heart-wrenching. You've just saved the world and you know that you're about to disappear from existence and leave your very best friend behind, who thinks that all the danger is past. You accepted this mission knowing it would be your very last adventure, ever, but they have no clue. As you two are walking back to the Pokemon who will ferry you back to all your other friends and family and the life you've built together, you start to disappear. And your best friend turns around and notices. There's way more to the ending that twists that knife deeper, and that's ALL stuff you know will absolutely be happening as you choose to play that mission, but it's so well written and it's worth playing through the game to get to experience the whole thing yourself. It still hits pretty hard even if you go in knowing, I'll be honest.

In His Dark Materials, there is an arc where the two main characters go through a HORRIFICALLY scary gauntlet. I'm not going to say what that is because people I love need to watch the series with me, but at the very end, they escape. One character cuts through reality into a new dimension, and they step from this bleak hellscape into a beautiful, picturesque grassland at night. The stars are bright and plentiful, the wind is warm and soft, and both characters just collapse together in awe and exhaustion, not even able to find a suitable place to sleep because they haven't gotten any real rest since that gauntlet started. It was just very well described in the books, the prose was gorgeous, and I don't know how many times I reread that scene when I was little.

I also REALLY loved Kaworu's scene where he takes the destruction collar off of Shinji in the Evangelion Rebuild movies. I dunno, it's touching and sad, and the look of horror on Shinji's face when he sees the one person who's been so nice to him easily shoulder that burden is really good. There's just something about that sort of devotion to someone that kills me.

4. Top 3 characters to whump and why?

c:< Right now my mage and dragon duo, Mariano and Bastian, are taking up so much room in my brain, but I also love whumping my good sweet reaper Will and @that-one-thespian's and @brinkofdiscovery's characters. Collabs are just such favs!

5. Favorite fandom for whump (show, series, etc)?

Pokemon, and Arknights! Pokemon is fun to just do whatever in, because sure, send your ocs on the late adventures they never got to have as kids, it'll be a good mix of fun and whimsy and angst and pain. TONS of shit you can do in Pokemon AUs. And Arknights just has such an interesting, terrifying world to play in, and gives you an excuse to make your OCs have little animal ears and tails.

6. Do you prefer written or watchable whump?

Written! I like to reread the particularly tasty bits, it just feels right.

7. Do you also like hurt/comfort?

8. What do you think the difference between hurt/comfort and whump is?

I think h/c is the more widely known term, and whump is newer, but the biggest difference that I can think of is that whump doesn't always have comfort. Sort of a "not all rectangles are squares, but every square is a rectangle" scenario.

9. How would you explain whump to someone who’s not familiar with it?

Oh I've literally said "Okay, so you know the juicy bits in a story? Where someone gets hurt, or is in danger, or something bad happens? That's whump." Gets the vibe across, doesn't over-complicate it, and doesn't sound defensive.

10. Is there any old whump you particularly enjoy? (say, pre 2000?)

I mean I DO love Pokemon, and the first season was just FULL of good child-friendly angst and whump that almost always has a happy ending. I think "Snow Way Out" was my fav (and counts, it was released in the US in December of 1999) because Ash tried so hard to keep his team warm when they were trapped in a blizzard but then THEY decided to help keep HIM warm. Super cute scene, absolutely flipped a switch in my little five-year-old brain.

11. Why do you think you like whump?

My half-joking answer: It's because I didn't get enough attention and care shown to me when I was a child, so now it's my characters' problem.

My half serious answer: I dunno, it's fun! I've always been an "intense stories" sort of person, even when my friends and I were playing with stuffed animals and Barbies, so I haven't really thought too hard about it. I like horror too. maybe I'm just drawn to that sort of controlled intensity.

12. When did you realize you liked whump?

I learned the word at 22-ish, but like I said, Pokemon definitely flipped some switch in me when I was five!

Hmm, lately I've been really digging the prompts by @warmblanketwhump and @whumpster-dumpster! I don't really do gifsets or pics, because I like to browse in my downtime at work, but I can always appreciate more ideas. c:

Oh yeah, I'm of the mindset that if I don't make it weird, it won't feel weird to the people I tell. I'm not gonna show my boss or anything, but my BF and friends know. Plus, with how I explain it, it just feels like most people would see the draw, especially with how much I openly like horror.

15. How did you find the whump community?

I was so, so bored at work, and running out of things to look at, and I remembered seeing the term "whump" somewhere before. So I slapped it in the search bar and started poking around!

16. Any unusual mediums you like for whump (plays, music, vlogs, etc)?

Ooo music definitely, if I can find a good inspiring song for a character or piece I'm writing then I'm SUCH a happy camper.

I think that personally a lot of people would feel much more secure in their love of whump if they took a page from how furries handle things. Just...be a little harmlessly, unabashedly weird. It IS a little weird to be so fixated on fictional suffering, and that's FINE. Who cares! Just accept that everyone is a little weird and enjoy it!

There are some dangerous weirdos here, sure but like, that's just the internet babes, relax, there are worse things you can do than stab your friend's OC for the 20th time so that your OC can patch them up with intense homoerotic undertones.

It's the second part in a little series we're collabing on, and I love seeing the team's whole dynamic in action! (Also Archer calling Mariano firecracker is just. Very cute. Very cute and powerful.)

Scott @friendlylocalwhumper is also just one of my fav writers too, and he doesn't delve into super graphic gore often BUT god I go feral when he does. This drabble is absolutely fantastic. Maxon is so scary, and Quinn is so sure of themself, and that can only lead to terrible terrible things. His prose is just nice to read! I devoured this one before bed the MOMENT it was written.

Also @brinkofdiscovery has FANTASTIC characters and imagery when he writes. It's been such a pleasure developing our lores together and seeing where we intersect and diverge with it all, but god I'm in love with how he describes his Death's domain in this piece. The red light, the salt, it's so good. Also Tyler is so fascinating as a character, I wanna study him under a microscope until he tries to kill about it.

I...cannot stand pet whumpees? And spineless whumpees. It's just something I can't do, I don't find them interesting and they just lose my attention really quickly. But that's why I don't really follow a lot of blogs who write those things!

22. Tropes you think we could use more of?

I want more bitey whumpees, give me whumpees who are just a little insane, a little batshit. I want them to go stupid and crazy and suffer the consequences after winning. I think that's what draws me to Mariano! He's so calm and even-keeled but also so, so willing to just throw himself into wildly dangerous scenarios and fight like he's going to die. He makes calculated risks, and is generally good at that math, but sometimes said math includes "will I need to burn myself alive to survive this?" and he just doesn't mention it.

DH lost their humanity bc of the information flow from the Backyard being far too concentrated, while HC got the luxury of basically becoming fused with a god's powers, DH did not and their own abilities stem from the fact theyre basically a walking Tome of Origin that haw a super genius mind that can constantly revise and create new spells all the time. In this way Both DH and HC are equal in power. Also why would The Universal Will throw and trap DH into concentrated Backyard info area is cuz it was a desperate decision and they assumed DH would die but... like... thats, thats the one who weaves the spells. Universal Will had a dumb moment but hey it threw the Original off. To esplain Further DH had managed to make a way that they can survive by taking in the information influx from the Backyard but it came at the cost of their humanity, they managed to keep their memories and biases tho.

And YEAH DH ans HC lovingly(and annoyingly to Lethargy) consider them their child.

HC to Lethary - is like that annoying kind of parent who likes to poke their nose into ur bussiness but they genuine love and care abt you, Hes probs taken to the role as the Overprotective Parent just to stir drama every once in a while, i like to think during the earlier parts of Lethargy's story when theyre their panicky and terrified of their own strength self Happy Chaos just teleports sweets to them, Regional sweets, they both got sweet tooths. Havent got a full concrete thing on how he thinks of Lethargy cuz he has too many thoughts in his head but the basis of it all is fondness and horror, the closest he could feel to it cuz Lethargy is stronger than both HC n DH combined but Lethargy prefers being human than to become anything else. But the fondness overpowers the horror tbh he cares for the kid

Lethargy to HC - Basically think of someone in their rebellious phase, Lethargy loathes the fact they and HC have similarities, Easy to rile up n all. They tend to start bickering with HC on random topics HC started rambling abt. They think hes annoying n all, but when they do get along oh boy, Oh Boy. Prepare ur popcorn besties this boutta be the best show of ur life.

DH to Lethargy - Bias exists here, though they cant feel emotion they do try to show Lethargy that they care for em. They take on the role of 'Damage control' parent, this family has 1 braincell and DH has it half the time, the other half is when HC and Lethargy cause joint chaos together. Theyre the type of parent to be chill and such but WILL put their foot down if needed. They're the one who mainly teaches Lethargy how to use their own abilities since Lethargy can grasp Circle theory. Same case with HC there is both fondness n horror in their own unique way but as always the fondness overpowers the horror. Theyre the favorite parent and they know it.

Lethargy to DH - Favorite parent. No he will not let HC fight DH for the spot of favorite parent. DH is the favorite parent and Lethargy will forever shove that fact into HC's face. Lethargy is thankful to DH for being so goddamn patient with them bc Lethargy can be so clumsy and dumb. Lethargy wonders where DH got all this patience from (DH got it from knowing and dealing with HC for years lmaoo)

Regardless thought the two like to be embarrassing parents, always like, bragging abt Lethargy's accomplishments and they of course inherited DH and HC's immeasurable IQ's they just have a morality to hold back themselves.

I dont know that much about the Conclave members individually yet so i cant say for them, Asuka on the other hand... he's semi used to it, he was clueless they used to date eachother tho lmaoo.

Like, as their student he had no idea The Original and The Architect were dating, he had suspicions but he didnt wanna ask them. To picture how ridiculously oblivious Asuka was during this time, The Original and The Architect could be smooching out in the open and he'd be like "Something fruity going on here... But probs isnt" /J/J those two were a bit more subtle but yeah Asuka truly is bad with relationships, even seeing em.

Adding sum tidbits here on The Architect/DH and Asuka's own dynamic. DH and Asuka were much closer actually, DH even when human was stoic and rarely showed visible emotion even verbally. Only diff betwene them is that DH isnt clueless on emotions, they acknowledge the importance of feelings even as who they are now. Its why betwen DH and HC, DH causes less casualties and suffering due to this. tbh DH would be scolding Asuka for not taking how he himself felt into account even in a scientific way. Emotions are a variable regardless, why ignore such a vital thing?

and i like to think that as a parallel to HC's "Asuka Asuka Asuka Asuka... You're a natural born lunatic" and the response of "Quiet down, Teacher."

DH's line is "Asuka Asuka Asuka Asuka. You're an unnaturally oblivious person." In a more scolding manner, response is "Louder please, Tutor?" in a sheepish tone

First of all, the second you tell him you're pregnant he runs for the hills and you will never find him again. Because he's great at running and hiding

If you idk, put him on a leash to keep him around, he'd definitely get jealous of the baby receiving affection

Maybe he'd try to put in an effort, but the fact is that he knows absolutely nothing about taking care of babies or children in the first place, since he never experienced a childhood

Also, he'd probably be bad at disciplining the child and would prefer to be the "fun dad" who encourages them to be a little menace

So my theory is, he'd be a great uncle, but a bad dad

But at least you'd have a good time making the baby

But yeah this is exactly the idea and you put it into words more succinctly than i would.

I definitely agree that he could be a good "cool uncle" who'd definitely encourage the child to do mayhem (he'd teach children words they shouldn't know just to watch the parents hunt him down for sports), and he'd def also encourage the kid to overindulge in things like you want candy? sure i'll rob the candy store. And stuff like that.

But when it comes to being an actual parent there's really too many things to take into account. The fact he would be expected to stay and be there at all time is already asking too much of him.

Like he could take care of the baby at night in a more mechanical way sure but would he want to? seems boring as hell for him and he tends to act out on things that thrills him.

Raising a child isn't exactly going to be thrilling by his standards.

I also think he'd get jealous of having to share the attention with a baby. I definitely think he would have a hard time balancing out how to give proper affection especially since he has no point of reference.

I could see him doing everything he can not to show favoritism in any way but Belial has a tendency to suddenly screw himself over and suddenly do things he knows are harmful for him and for others, and especially if he ends up thinking that the affection of the other parent and the affection of the child is on the same level, there's no guarantee he wouldn't suddenly push the kid away to show his devotion to the parent or the opposite and stuff like that.

All in all i feel like Belial comes from a place where he just never had the healthy scope to approach parenting. And as much as i'm all for Belial healing, the thing is that we have to account for the fact Belial would tend to relapse pretty easily and raising a kid would, imo, come with at least the condition to be stable enough that you wouldn't jeopardize the kid's mental health by a sudden relapse. And i don't think it's something Belial could manage.

Granted Belial is also an immortal creature who's over 2k years old, who knows if thousand years in the future the progress he could do would make him able to handle a child (or be even worse)

but as it is, even with the most charitable "having him heal" scenarios we've mused about, i really feel like he'd be too fickle to raise a child, and it would do more harm than good.

And not just to the child also, i feel like Belial may even be aware of his shortcomings and probably end up isolating himself or leaving because he realizes he cannot actually live up to those expectations - and "not living up to the expectations", especially in comparaison to someone else (like the other parent), is already the basis of so much of his insecurities that i doubt he'd cope with it in any healthy ways.

(also i feel like, if you consider that Belial may have felt bad for the Fallen Angels/that he wasn't completely aware of what was going to happen to them once the Avatar plan was in motion, there would be a dimension added of this fear of failing people you were supposed to take care of, and how easily you would fail them at the drop of the hat for the person you devoted yourself to).

So yeah idk, maybe it's good that he supposedly have a reproductive system that only works for pleasure and not for reproduction. I genuinely can't see him be a good dad.

But yeah the process at making it would be fun.

AND we can always count on how he'd be the absolute worst "cool uncle" enabler in the world and if he joins our crew considering we have a few kids running around/a few parents with their child on there, he could still get his hand at being a disaster uncle.

but yeah. Daddy, but absolutely not a dad.
