Okay, I've officially watched Arcane. Might be at risk of becoming a LoL fan. But I gotta say, people really misundersood the sex scene. It is one of the most thematically conclusive scenes in season 2. Cait finally lets go of her Jinx obsession, allowing herself peace while also helping the woman she loves. She wanted Vi to be someone who would agree with her, who would reinforce her ideals and actions. But in this moment, she shows that she accepts her. Her past, her flaws, and whatever the future holds. She chooses her over revenge. And in Cait accepting Vi, we have the opposite. Vi begged her not to change at the beginning of the season and yet she did. She forced herself to focus on revenge until it swallowed her whole, and Ambessa molded that into a fine weapon. But Vi changed her for the better. To someone who could find peace and make the changes they both wanted. And when Vi kisses her, it's a show that she accepts her too. She accepts the changes. And she's embracing the one thing she wanted this whole time- a family. Instead of chasing something she'll never get back, she accepts that things have changed and embraces her future. In a way, she's accepting her own life.
Also, the scene literally occurs in a jail cell. Yknow, the setting where they met to begin with. It represents new beginnings for them both. A moment in which they embrace each other and all the flaws and struggles that come with. They have plagued each others' minds all season and now they literally start over, allowing each other to focus on the battles ahead of them.

It’s okay to like Li Jing in spite of (or even because of! I’m not going to discredit the potential to love morally gray characters BECAUSE they are morally gray!) what he did to Sun Wukong, but I’m really sick and tired of this fandom showing its whole goddamned ass when it comes to blatant and undisguised victim-blaming.
Sun Wukong did not “earn” the circlet.
He did not “deserve” the circlet.
Li Jing taking did not “have every right” to bolt a torture circlet onto an innocent man on a literal biased whim.
Li Jing decided, fueled entirely by his biases over settled grudges and punished crimes from centuries ago, decided “Sun Wukong is responsible for all these current things, obviously” forced a glorified shock collar into his head, falsely imprisoned him and two other people, and was going to leave them there.
Li Jing is a big, blundering fuck-up that hurt three people who; while not entirely innocent, Macaque especially being guilty of many things that have been left unaddressed, are innocent of the current crimes they have been accused of.
And Li Jing, playing judge, jury, and executioner, punishes them all with both unjustified imprisonment and one of them with repetitive instances of torture.
It wasn’t “justified”. It wasn’t “fair”.
He turned three people into victims, and instead of sympathizing with those people for being hurt, you’re blaming the chiefest of them (Sun Wukong) for being an “acceptable target” to hurt instead.
You’re not “defending” Li Jing by pretending that Sun Wukong “deserved” to be violently tortured with a circlet.
You’re just victim-blaming.

Rereading wmmap for the hell of it and things that further add evidence onto novel Ijekiel’s behavior towards Jennette being a result of HIS OWN expectations he held himself to, when Athy/Lee Jihye falls into him for their first meeting, and then hides because Roger approaches. Roger then talks to a young Ijekiel, and Ijekiel says how he was looking for Jennette because Jennette got upset and ran out of the mansion due to hearing about Ijekiel studying abroad.
BUT THEN. Roger tells Ijekiel that he doesn’t need to deal with Jennette’s tantrums! Because though Jennette is important, Roger tells Ijekiel that he holds Ijekiel more important than her! Ijekiel knew then—from a childhood age that he never needed to look after Jennette or obey her requests. Roger never held that expectation on him. The only one holding him to the responsibility of ‘looking after Jennette’ was Ijekiel himself! It became such a thing that he bound himself to, so much so he dreaded it though no one but he wanted such, not even Jennette herself! Yet he dared, dared to push and blame that on her, that it was her fault and her selfishness that crushed him and made him resent her so—but it was himself all along! He was never actually bound to her, never actually pressured into taking care of or obeying her. It was a role he forced himself into taking, and blamed Jennette for the moment his resentment and jealousy bottled up and bursted!

They’re having discourse on Tiktok about attachment issues. Attachment. Issues. You know, the thing usually caused by some trauma or underlying mental issues. Cool, great. They love to victimize people with anxious attachment styles, while villainizing people who have avoidant attachment styles.
Both can be terrible to someone in a relationship.
Both are capable of recognizing that and changing it.
Call me chronically online all you fucking want, but if you believe someone is undeserving of love because of a trauma response, maybe it’s you who needs to take a step outside.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 better give me the option to beat Poppy’s porcelain fucking face into dust after accusing me of killing Doey and abandoning me and Kissy Missy in the rubble. Once I find out where she ran off to this is the last thing she’s gonna see before I turn her ass into a chew toy:

Honestly, getting captured by the Prototype and being locked back up in her glass prison WHERE SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT TO ROT is going to be the LEAST of her worries.

I will forever maintain that Jason would've been fine and Not a vigilante without Bruce making him Robin
#''bruce never recruited any kids for his mission/war'' falls apart immediately when u consider jason's backstory im ngl#jason todd#my dc posting#his whole character to me is breaking the conventions of the medium#batman#like i hate how ppl treat others like theyre ridiculous when they even dare to critique bruce in any way#i am capable of suspending my disbelief and accepting some things in fiction as okay even if they wouldnt be irl#its the viewers responsibility to meet stories whre theyre at#but its also the story's responsibility to upkeep that yknow?#''child/teen sidekicks are okay n not morally dubious'' okay :D yay :3#then one of them gets brutally murdered by a villain and im like. yeah uhh no. cant do that anymore 👍sorry#''they all became vigilantes on their own bruce couldnt have stopped them'' yall under the impression bruce hates kid heroes n wants them#properly safe n is just doing damage control/harm prevention#when hes more the lines of encouraging them#difference between ''i cant stop u from doing this so ill make it as safe as i can'' and#''im actively going to encourage you to do this dangerous thing''#i have many opinions n im ngl theyre constantly shifting n they depend on a lot#im not gonna hate on lego batman for robin thats a goddamn childrens movie who tf gives a shit#comics are fair game tho. have u seen what gows on in there.#bruce couldve stopped jason from being a vigilante n instead encouraged him is the hill i will fucking die on#the victim blaming of jason has Got to stoppp its the worst thing ever#also just to remind everyone. ''a good soldier''.#wow a character blames themselves for the death of their child and to torture themselves they put the words 'good soldier' on their memorial#anyway if you even dare to think abt the implications ure stupid n#like do u hear urself whattt
