Apparently there was some lil drama in Good Omens fandom again about people being deeply nervous and scared of the end of Season 3, and I wrote this in the replies of one of the asks that Neil Gaiman answered, but I feel like it is deserving of being crossposted into its own post (in a slightly expanded form) so folks actually see it.

cmere, good omens fandom, we're having an intervention. a Come To Jesus talk, if you will.

First of all, I'm literally begging the fandom to:

learn what personal boundaries are, especially around parasocial relationships with strangers. (Suggestion: When sending asks to authors you like, use "polite work email" etiquette, not "joking with a friend" etiquette. The latter comes off REAL weird sometimes, and sometimes outright mean/rude/bullying).

take a couple deep fucking breaths

embrace the philosophy of The Author's Intent Only HAS To Matter To The Author, It Does Not Have To Matter To YOU. If you do not like the author's intent, you can say "hmmmm no thanks" and write some fanfic. That's what it's for.

Friends, Romans, countrymen..... Stop trying to make Neil Gaiman responsible for your happiness. For one thing, that is an absolutely unfair and cruel burden to put on a stranger who doesn't know you. Neil is only responsible for Neil's happiness. You're responsible for your own happiness. In fact, do not rely on ANY external source to guarantee your happiness, not even very nice people like Neil, not even your significant other, not even your family members. Yes, those people might be able to help you with your happiness, but they cannot guarantee it. Expecting a third party to guarantee your happiness is how corporations exploit you, and it is the source of all media trauma. Take agency over your own joy! Don't give away your power! Plan to DIY your personal ideal ending!

Neil is not telepathic, Neil cannot know all your hopes and dreams and wishes, nor SHOULD he be expected to know them, nor does he have space to know them. He is busy with things like his own and Terry's hopes and dreams and wishes. Their hopes/dreams/wishes are just as valid and important as yours, aren't they? Yes, they are. So calm down. caaaaaaaallllllm dowwwwwn.

Yes, I love the show very much too, but at the end of the day it is just a story. And the great thing about stories is that you are empowered to retell them in a different way. It is not real, so if you end up unsatisfied by S3, then blithely impose your own reality and build your own joy. It's not like it's the End Of The World or anything (lil fandom joke there for you)

And look, if you read this and you're feeling Mad and Upset or Frustrated about it, that is a symptom that you are maybe feeling a little stung in your Media Trauma parts. I am sorry that other stories have let you down in the past, and I really sympathize that you are feeling scared about the fate of this story that really matters to you. You've invested a lot of love into it! I really understand the fear! You don't want to be hurt again, and that's super understandable and normal.

But bestie, literally the only way for you to find a story that's exactly perfect for you and that won't hurt you at all is for you to write it yourself. I know that sucks to hear, but it is the truth. If you keep pinning a hope of perfection on other people's stories, you will keep getting traumatized by the media you consume. Love other people's stories for what they ARE, not for the stories that you WANTED them to be -- the same way that we love people, you know? You have to let a person be their own person; you can't force them to be someone else. That's fucked up, so if you notice that you keep trying to do that, maybe go to therapy so you can be that Someone-Else person for yourself (or, if you can't afford therapy, read some self-help books from the library or find some good channels on Youtube who make content that might help with that (I really like JulienHimself)).

If you need a story to be something big and important for you, if you are seeking catharsis and healing from a story that matters to you and you're really scared that you won't get it, then open a Word document and start typing. You can do it. You're a human being, and you evolved to tell stories. Literally it's a species specialization. You got this. It's gonna be okay, because you're going to seize the means of production and MAKE it okay. Yes? Yes.

Good Omens S3 will be what it will be. It will be what Neil wants it to be and what Terry would have wanted it to be. Period. That IS actually the highest achievement and the most noble and admirable accomplishment that we can hope for. And hey, maybe what they want overlaps with what you want, and that will be wonderful! But that will be merely a happy coincidence. The only person who can TRULY center your wants is YOU. So stop trying to trap Neil into doing it, please, because he's busy and it's not his job, AND because your wants do matter and you deserve to have someone who can give your wants their 100% full attention (aka you. that's you. only you can do that. Not even your best friends in the world can do it. Not even your mom can do it, at least not if you're old enough to know how to read.)

It's gonna be okay. Really. Really, it is. No, stop typing the snarky melodramatic reply. This is not the time for jokes; I'm being serious. It's going to be okay. Neil Gaiman can only break your heart exactly as much as you allow him to do so. That's how art works. You have to consent in order to be affected by it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. You're going to be okay. I promise. As long as you choose to claim your own agency and your own empowerment as an individual, then all will be well and all manner of things will be well.

Stop thinking and start doing. Ace Trappola

Bro really asked Crewel "So, do I have to attend my classes still, or...?" He used you as and excuse to skip classes, and somehow it worked. He brought you back to Heartslabyul with a big grin on his face. When Riddle stopped him and asked why he wasn't at class he just said "I gotta take care of my dear MC here" And Riddle just stormed off to ask a teacher about it. Ace brought you back to his room to hangout and chill since he had the joy of not having to go to classes. He was just casually going through his phone when you plopped your head on his lap. He gave you a quick peck on the lips, well was going to, until you cupped his face and smothered him in kisses. He was a bit taken aback but quickly recovers and a small grin grew on his face. He kisses you a few times all over your face, then returning back to his phone. Lovesick you was a teensy bit upset his phone was getting more attention than you, but you let it slide, for now. Jokes on him, he had 10x more homework than he did before. That's what he gets for using you as an excuse to skip class.

Deuce Spade

Why is he even surprised? It's just more trouble caused by Ace and Grim. He brought you back to his room and went to his classes, before doing so he gave you a peck on the forehead. After all his classes were done he went back to his room and started on his homework. You were wanting his attention so you walked over to behind him and put your arms over his shoulders. "Hm? Do you need something MC?" He raised a brow. "No, just wanted to cuddle" You innocently smiled. "Has anyone ever told you how cute you are? Your smile is brighter than the sun!" You said. Deuce blushed "T-thanks..." He mumbled. Once he was finished with his homework he cuddled you for the rest of the day.

Cater Diamond

Cater was walking around the halls, scrolling on magicam, his finger gliding across the screen as he scrolled down. He saw some cute pictures of a cafe that had recently opened. Maybe he would take you there sometime-"Cater!!!" A familiar voice interrupted Cater's thoughts. It was Ace, and Grim, and Deuce holding you over his shoulder-Wait...Deuce holding you over his shoulder?!"What'd you freshies do this time?" Cater asked as Deuce put you in Cater's arms, trying to not seem so worried. Then Cater saw the hearts in your eyes, and he immediately knew. "How did you get prefect to drink a love potion??" Cater questioned. "It wasn't our fault! They was the one that drank the water!" Ace defended. Cater looked confused. "It's a long ish story" Grim shrugged. Cater felt a sudden warmth to his cheeks as something cupped his face. "Well, we're gonna go" Grim announced, the three then leaving."Aww, your cheeks are so squishy.." You said with a droopy smile. Cater blushed. "W-well..." "I could take so much pictures of you and show em off. You deserve to be seen my everyone" You cut Cater off. Cater felt the heat on his face grow. Ok, you're a bit good at making him flustered...If you continued he was gonna turn out like Riddle when he's mad."Instead of staying in the hallways we should go back to my room.." Cater mentioned. The time you were under the influence of that love potion Cater took many pictures of you, and some videos too. You was just too cammable! How could he not? Don't worry, he won't post anything without your permission! (The pictures were mainly for him to look back at and smile...)

Jack Howl

His ears twitch at the sound of 3 freshmans voices. "JACKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!" they yelled, to which he simply sighed in return. "What is it this time!? Wait, why does prefect have hearts in their eyes???" Jack was puzzled as Ace quickly gave you to him. "Perfect drank a love potion, which was totally NOT my fault, it was all Grim's," Grim groaned in the backround "So yeah anyways goodluck taking care of them the potion doesn't wear off until tomorrow!!!!" Then he ran of with the other freshman. Jack was confused, to say the least, but alas took you to Savanaclaw.When he walked in he got some strange looks while you was being carried over his shoulder, but simply ignored them as it wasn't a big deal."Jack, Why ya carryin' MC over ya shoulder?" Ruggie questioned as he walked oast Jack."Ace, Grim, and Deuce somehow got them to drink a love potion, so now I gotta be with them" Jack shrugged."Oh, well good luck with that" Ruggie chuckled, then going his own way.Jack had finally let you down after you got to his dorm, then he got started on his homework while he let you hug him from behind. Offly enough, he was much more comfortable this way and it kinda helped him focus.

Soon enough it was 9pm, and he was drowsy, so he went to sleep, ans joined him so he wrapped his arm around you, placing a kiss on your neck.

Floyd Leech

He was walking around the hallways, upset because he hasn't seen his shrimpy all day! Where in the world could they be??? People moved out of his way, noticing he wasn't the happiest at this moment. He then felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around with a frown, which faded away when he saw you. "Aw~ Shrimpy where have you been?" He smiled as he took you from the troublemakers. Meanwhile Ace and Grim were fighting over which one should tell him, but Grim got shoved forward "Nya! No fair! You owe me tuna after this!" Grim angrily said to Ace. Ace rolled his eyes in response "What is it Baby Seal?" Floyd raised a brow. "MC drank a love potion..." Grim said. "Myah! Run!" Grim, Ace, and Duece then ran. Floyd huffed "How do you get in this much trouble so often shrimpy? Whatever, this may be a bit fun" Floyd smiled, then taking you to his room. He was supposed to be at monstro lounge, but Azul wouldn't mind. "Floyd, has anyone mentioned how adorable you are?" You brought up. "Eh?~ Thank you shrimpy, but I'd say you more adorable yourself, ehe~" He said in return with a toothy grin. You two had comments like this for practically all day, and cuddled when the day ended.

Epel Felmeir

Epel was in the Botanical Garden. Why? Probably for something in potions. He had a basket of things for his potions assignment and began to walk back on his merry way but heard a familiar voice.Grim entered the garden as you were being carried by Deuce and Ace. "Epel, MC drank a love potion!!!!" Grim squealed out of breath. "H...huh?! How??? Y'all troublemakers always causin' a problem for MC huh..." Epel saw you, hearts in your eyes, and was worried but also noticed how adorable you was. "Take your partner instead of admiring them all day long, would ya?" Epel put down the basket and took you in his arms, well, more like let you lean against his shoulder as he helped you walk back to pomefiore, but you get the point!Epel let you take a seat, then beginning to work on his homework. You and the other freshman were supposed to all study together today, but because of the love potion you obviously won't be able to.You walked up behind Epel, as you was beginning to get bored, and quite lonely at that, wrapping your arms around him and looking at his homework.You could practically feel the heat radiating off of Epel when you did this, which made you have a small grin.You had seen Epel get stuck on some questions, so you had graciously helped him, to which he thanked you for.Epel said it was starting to get dark and that you should get sleep, and you had gone to the bed, hut said "Hurry up and cuddle with me soon though..." in a drowsy tone, so Epel wrote his letter to his meemaw about this whole thing and you quickly, then cuddling up next to you with a small blush.

Silver

Silver was startled awake from his sleep with a yell. "SILVER!!!!!!!!!" Ace yelled.Silver jumped awake with a questionable look on his face. "Hm? What exactly is it you need, Ace?" Then he saw the look on your face. And your eyes.Silver had heard about a love potion from his father, and from potionoligy, and how anyone who drank one would have hearts in there eyes, and you certainly did."Take your significant other!! I ain't taking care of them all day!" Ace quickly gave you to Silver, then going off with Deuce and Grim.Silver was still a bit drowsy, but he needed to ask Lilia if there was any way to cure this.Silver walked into Diasomnia, you clinging onto his arm."Boo! Oh? Is that your little partner clinging into you?~" Lilia chuckled.Silver didn't have much of a reaction to Lilia's scare, as he was used to it at this point, but nodded his head yes, then saying "They had drank a love potion, considering the look in their eyes. I'm not sure how, but do you know if there's a cure?" "No, there's no cure that I'm aware of, so good luck with your clingy partner" Lilia said, then smiling cheekily.Silver walked off to his room, and you just continued clinging onto him. "Silver, your eyes are so beautiful... I could get lost in them" You smiled. "Being with you doesn't feel real, it feels like a dream" You continued to ramble on.

Silver chuckled, running his fingers through your hair. Your warmth made him get more and more drowsy, causing the two of you to soon fall asleep.

Sebek Zigvolt

Sebek was on his way to Diasomnia since he had finished all his classes and wanted to check if Malleus was fine, and there he happened to see 3 freshmans and his significant other being carried at the end of the hall. "MC!" Sebek ran to the part of the hall you were at and immediately took you in his arms. It was silent for a moment, then Deuce spoke "MC, somehow," Deuce looked at Grim amd Ace, "drank some of a love potion. Crewel said the effects will only be around for about 24 hours" Ace bit his lip, expected loud enough yelling to make him go deaf, but instead it was silent. So silent you could almost hear crickets as Sebek had a look of confusion, anger, and, most of all, worry.The freshman slowly backed up, then ran away.You played with Sebek's hair, booped his nose, and kissed him so much on the way to Diasomnia Sebek couldn't help but blush. He entered the dorm and continued walking to his room until a Lilia appeared. "Ah? Why's MC here?"Sebek looked frozen. "Those idiot humans somehow got them to drink love potion" Sebek answered, a tinge of sadness in his voice.

Malleus's voice came about "They'll be just fine Sebek, there's no need to worry." Lilia interrupted "That's only if they had a tadge bit. Did they have a tadge bit?" Sebek responded, saying Deuce said it would only last 24 hours according to Crewel. "Excellent! Well get on your merry way then" Lilia chuckled as he went to get tomato juice. "Thank you Waka-sama and Lilia-Sama" Sebek did a half bow and left.Sebek couldn't really focus on his work. No matter how much he wanted to. All the complements, kisses, hugs from behind, everything you did just out him in a different thought process."MC, I need silence and complete focus to work on this homework" Sebek stated. "My soldier, you've been working on that foreverrrr, can't I just get a bit of attention? Please?" You had a look on your face Sebek found hard to say no to. "...Fine, but only for a few minutes!" Sebek slightly frowned, but wasnt the slightest bit upset.Unfortunately, Sebek had fallen asleep in your arms as you brushed his hair with your fingers.

Warnings: A lot of crying, pregnancy and child birth, dad! Minho stealing your heart (sorry!)

Summary: You feel your boyfriend, Minho, slipping away from you. You love him way too much to leave, but your current situation calls for change.

This wasn't the first time your boyfriend Minho is missing a date with you. In fact this has happened way too many times already and yet here you were, hoping it would be different this time around. But the jokes on you, because Minho wasn't there and you were eating on your own at your favorite cafe. One of the servers was your friend by now and she gave you a sympathetic smile as she placed your order on the table. Blowing the candle out, you ate in silence.

It had started raining heavily by the time you were finished. The cafe wasn't too far from your house and so you had decided to walk. It was pouring cats and dogs now. You didn't have an umbrella, so you tried to wait it out a little. But unfortunately, the rain wasn't planning on stopping.

Just as you were about to step out, the kind server came running with an umbrella.

'Oh no, thank you! How would you get home then?' You asked.

'I still have a couple of hours left here. I'll catch a ride with one of the girls.' She said. 'You get home safe, yeah?'

You nod and take the umbrella from her, thanking her. Stepping out into the freezing rain, you walk to your house as quickly as you can. Even with the umbrella, you were drenched by the time you got home. The cats were asleep in their bed in the living room. It was so quiet and cold, you felt a fit of sobs take over you, crumbling to the floor and crying silently.

You had hoped to find Minho home at least, but sadly, he wasn't. Standing up and walking to your bedroom, you change into dry clothes and get ready for bed.

It was past midnight when you felt the bed dip under his weight. He stayed silently on his side of the bed for a few minutes. He was afraid to approach you after forgetting about your date. Again. But then, you felt his warm body press against your back, his arms wrapping around you. His face is in the crook of your neck. He was crying.

'Minho, it's ok.' You said, even though it really wasn't. But you didn't want to push it. You were too tired.

'I don't deserve you.' He said, his sobs shaking his entire body.

'Hey, hey. Stop that. We'll talk in the morning, ok?' You put your hand over his, giving him a reassuring squeeze. But he cried even more as he realized that you weren't saying all those nice things you usually did.

'Are you leaving me? Is that what it is?' Minho asked, making you face him.

'It doesn't feel like you're in my life anymore, Minho.' You say sadly. 'Especially, now, when I really really need you.'

'I've been struggling a lot with... everything...nothing is going right with me. I'm exhausted all the time. I'm so sorry, baby. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me.' Minho said, cupping your cheeks in his hands.

Then he falls silent before asking, 'What do you mean, now?'

'Minho, there is a reason I wanted to meet you today.' You say and Minho stiffens.

'I don't want to be a burden, ok? I'm telling you only because you deserve to know.' You continue, making his eyes well up again. 'Your work is your first priority. I get it. You have worked way too hard to be here now and nothing in the world should take it away from you.'

Minho shakes his head no, but you continue talking.

'I'm just really tired of being caught up in between this.'

'Baby, no. Please, no-' Minho was crying harder now, holding you tightly against his chest. 'I won't let you go. I won't. You're everything to me. I wo-'

'I'm pregnant, Minho.' Your words stun him to silence.

He pulls back to look at you clearly for the first time in a while. You did look really tired and pale.

'What?' Was all he could say.

'Yeah. I didn't know until last week. I was really sick - the nausea, the fatigue, the bloating. I didn't think I was pregnant, until I passed out at work after skipping a meal...I'm around 8 weeks in.' You say, wiping a tear from your eye before it could fall.

'Why didn't you call me?! Oh my god, you passed out??' Minho was sitting up, looking shocked.

'I called. You didn't pick up or call me back. So I told you to clear a day and meet me for dinner. You didn't show up today, did you?'

You weren't angry. That he could've dealt with. You just looked so tired and resigned, it killed him. You sit up and pull your messy hair up into a bun.

'I have made up my mind. I will have my baby with or without your help, Minho. You can walk out right now and I won't fight you. If you wanna help and be a part of our baby's life, that's ok too. But I'm done being left on read and being stood up.' You try to control the sudden surge of tears. 'You have to make up your mind.'

'No no no' Minho pleaded. 'I know that I fucked up ok? But I promise, this would be the last time! I will leave everything for you. But I won't last a day knowing that I won't come home to you again.'

'Minho...please-' You didn't have it in you to take any more disappointment.

'NO!' His voice was loud and it shook with emotion. 'No one is leaving! We're doing this together, understand? I'm going to take care of you and our baby. I'm going to be here for you. Ok?'

'Ok' You whisper, after a pause. 'That's what I want.'

'Ok' he said, cupping your cheeks in his hands. 'That's the only thing I want too.'

He leaned forward and kissed you, both of you crying.

Minho stood by his word, and you didn't find yourself having dinner or going to bed alone again. He was by your side for all your appointments and scans and he cried like a baby as he heard your baby's heartbeat for the first time.

Minho had bought a ring he wanted to propose to you with, years ago. He was just waiting for the right time - but here you were. He never thought your baby would be there to witness the wedding though. He organized a beautiful baby shower for you with just your closest friends and family. And he took this opportunity to propose to you. Of course, you said yes.

When you woke him up one night, slowly telling him that you're in pain and the moisture spilling down down legs is definitely not you just peeing yourself, he shrieked in fright.

Picking up your hospital bag and calling Chan through excited tears, Minho drives you to the hospital. He held your hand, trying to soothe your sobs as contractions ripped through you. Everything was fine until he saw your eyes roll back and you were sweating way too much.

'Too tired, I can't-' you mumble, and he's calling out to you, softly first, then it gets louder and louder before the doctor asks him to step out.

'What? Why? What's going on?' Chan holds his hand, trying to assure him that everything is alright when there is a nurse asking him to sign a form and telling him that you need an emergency C-section. His hands shake as he looks at Chan and then at the nurse, who tells him that you're alright, but you won't be able to push your baby out on your own right now.

He covers his face and cries as he thinks of all the nights you spent alone, the times he ignored you and now here you were, struggling alone yet again.

He stares at the little pink bundle in his arms, his little girl with sweet pink cheeks and lips. But his heart is still tight because he hadn't seen you yet. Later, when he was finally allowed to meet you, he wouldn't let go of you. He clung on like a koala, as Chris held your baby, watching you both with moist eyes.

It killed him to see you in so much pain, and he did everything he could to help you. From taking you to the bathroom, helping you bathe and change your clothes - Minho did everything for you. In fact he hated it when anyone else (his mum or yours) tried to do it for you. He was fiercely protective of you and it made your heart swell with love for him.

He stayed true to his word and he never left you hanging ever again.

A few months later:

You watch as the boys move around the kitchen, busy cooking. It was a free weekend for all and they decided to come and have lunch together. You were ordered to go and chill on the sofa as Minho and the boys handled the cooking.

Minho held your little girl in his arms, laughing at something Hyunjin was saying. Your daughter was fast asleep against her father's chest and he was rocking her gently. His eyes meet yours and he gives you the sweetest smile ever. You smile back at him.

This is everything you've ever wanted. And you felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

Broken Hearts. Part 6

Warnings- Possessiveness, manipulation, blackmailing, threats.

As your mind raced with nerves, you stood in front of the mirror, mentally preparing yourself to face Steve.

You took deep breaths, repeating affirmations to build your confidence. “You can do this,” you whispered to your reflection. “You're strong, you're capable, and you deserve to be treated with respect.”

You straightened your back, fixed your outfit, and tried to quell the tremors in your voice. “I can do this. I won't let Steve manipulate or intimidate me. I have a plan. I just need to stay focused on it.” You were determined to not let Steve's arrogance get the best of you.

“Ready?” Ari startles you when he places one hand on your shoulder.  “Jesus you scared me.” you tell him, as you put a hand on your chest.

“Don't worry, the camera and mic are in place. Jake did a great job, and the waiter will ensure Steve sits at the targeted table. Andy and I will be right there, keeping an eye on things from a distance.”

His confidence was contagious, and you took a deep breath, feeling a bit more at ease with the knowledge that they were close by. “I just have to stay focused and stick to the plan,” you repeated to yourself.

Lloyd, Nick, and Andy were waiting outside, their faces filled with warmth as they wished you luck.

Lloyd spoke first, a reassuring smile on his lips. “You've got this, Sugar. We're all here for you,” he murmured quietly, his words carrying a mixture of concern and encouragement.

Nick, ever the optimist, offered a comforting smile. “Just stay cool, stay focused, and it'll all work out.” he advised.

Andy chimed in, his eyes radiating confidence. “Me and Ari, will be right by your side the whole time.”

“Gentlemen, can you give me a minute with Sugar?” They nod, giving you two some alone time. Lloyd lightly kisses you, running his thumb on your lower lip, “I'm with you all the time Sugar, don't you worry at all.” with one more kiss you all depart to your respected destination.

You arrived at the restaurant perfectly on time.

However, Steve's annoyed reaction upon seeing you indicated otherwise. “You're late!” he muttered with a scowl, his displeasure evident in his tone. You were taken aback by his unreasonable perception of punctuality, but you held your tongue, reminding yourself to remain composed and focus on the plan.

Your eyes drop to the plate on the table, you wish you could just smash it on his head. “Sorry.”

As you chose your words carefully, you couldn't help but notice Steve's eyes darting around the restaurant, his demeanor making it seem like he had more important matters to attend to.

You mentally steeled yourself, knowing that his arrogance and lack of patience could become an obstacle in getting the information you needed. “I wanted to talk to you about the video...” you began.

Steve's eyes snapped back towards you, a flicker of interest crossing his face. “What video?” he asked, his tone tinged with curiosity, as if he didn't know what you are talking about.

You could sense that he was cautiously intrigued and acting, just to rile you, even though he tried to downplay his interest. “The video you threatened me with...” you replied, your tone laced with a mixture of defiance and vulnerability.

Steve, unable to contain his arrogance, reached out and grabbed your wrist with a firm grip, his fingers encircling it tightly. His touch sent a shiver down your spine, his dominance and possessiveness palpable. “Listen carefully,” he leaned closer, his voice barely above a whisper, his breath grazing your skin. “You're mine, and I don't like it when things get out of control.”

His words were sharp, laced with a sense of ownership that rattled you to the core. You felt trapped, the strength of his grip a constant reminder of his power over you. “You need to remember your place.” he continued, his eyes darkening with intensity.

His grip tightened slightly, the pressure of his fingers digging into your skin, punctuating his warning.

Your heart raced, the mixture of fear and frustration simmering within you. His blatant assertion of control left you feeling both vulnerable and angry.

You knew you needed to stand up for yourself, though, so you looked him in the eye, your voice laced with determination. “You don't own me.” you declared, your tone defying his assertion.

Steve's expression turned cold, his grip on your wrist tightening even further. He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a possessive hiss. “Oh, but I do...” he insisted, his eyes filled with an unsettling intensity. “You're my toy, my wife, my property and you will do as I say. Don't forget, I have that video.”

You took a shaky breath, your heart pounding in your chest. Summoning up every ounce of courage, you looked at Steve, your voice quavering slightly as you questioned him. “Why...why are you threatening me? Is it all just a lie? Please tell me the truth.” You pleaded, hoping that he would finally drop the façade and reveal the truth behind his actions.

However, Steve merely smirked, his grip on your wrist unwavering.

“Oh, baby doll,” he responded with a condescending tone, “You're still naive enough to believe, I would ever fabricate a lie like this for no reason? You're mine, and I don't make idle threats.” His smirk grew wider, a hint of amusement in his eyes as he tightened his grip, the pain in your wrist a constant reminder of his control. “Steve please…” your throat tightens and you can barely speak. How could you have been so blind for so long? Is the man in front of you, the same one you fell in love and got married to? People like Bucky and him are disgusting.

You couldn't bear his words and touch any longer, so you instinctively tried to pull your hand away. In response, Steve's grip grew even tighter, his fingers digging into your skin. “Don't even think of running!” he barked, his voice booming in the quiet restaurant, causing a few nearby patrons to turn their heads in surprise.

You felt a mixture of pain, fear, and anger. The situation was escalating, and you were desperate for a way out.

Just as the tension reached its peak, Ari and Andy, who had been nearby, stepped forward to your rescue. Their presence was a welcome relief, and you felt a surge of gratitude as they approached.

Ari's firm voice interrupted the scene, “Let her go, Steve.” His authoritative tone matched the determination in his eyes.

Caught off guard, Steve loosened his grip on your wrist, his confidence faltering in the face of Ari and Andy’s intervention.

Ari continued, his gaze unwavering. “We know everything. You can't get away with this.” Steve's smirk faded, replaced by a flicker of surprise that quickly turned into annoyance.

Andy stepped forward, effectively replacing you at the table, while Ari gently escorted you out of the restaurant.

As you made your exit, you cast one final glance at Steve, witnessing his anger and frustration. You felt a wave of relief wash over you, though the weight of the situation still lingered in the air. Steve's voice echoed, “You can't run away, we're not done yet bitch!” as you left the restaurant, his words hanging like a looming shadow.

As you made your way outdoors, the cool night air enveloping you, you turned to Ari, your voice laced with both worry and hope. “Do you think he'll sign the papers now? Will this be over soon?”

You desperately sought reassurance, hoping that Steve would finally agree to your terms and the whole nightmare would come to an end.

Ari's expression remained serious, but assuring. “We'll make sure he does.” he responded firmly, his words offering a sense of assurance in the tumultuous situation.

“Lloyd didn't find anything in the office, but Nick and Jake are still searching Steve's house. I'm heading over there. We'll keep you updated.” With a nod, he turned and hastened towards his car, to drop you home.

• Tangerine knows the difference between possessive and protective and he's very aware he can be both of them depending on the situation. He's a surprisingly a very self-aware guy for a contract killer.

• He's also not usually a jealous person. He's confident in himself and he knows you love him and he loves you. Whenever his possessiveness/protectiveness jumps out, it's mostly because he sense some kind of danger around the situation—and not because he's jealous.

• He has nothing to be jealous over! You're his girl. He knows very well you'll be coming home with him and he'll have you screaming his name all night. He knows he doesn't have to worry about other guys.

• Tangerine is 100% not the type of boyfriend to tell you things like; "You can't wear that dress out in public, it's too revealing. Go change." He likes when you wear the dresses and clothes you want because he knows it makes you feel sexy and happy and that makes him happy!

• He loves your happiness. He's cute like that.

• He has no problem fighting anyone who looks at you wrong! He will defend you no questions asked. You come up to him crying? No hesitate he'll make whoever was the cause pay dearly.

• So, when you go out the bar one evening and he sees you dancing, he's content watching you from the bar as he sips on his whiskey. You look so carefree and happy it makes his cold heart swell.

• He will be watching the way your curves look as you dance (he is just a man after all), and how pretty your hair falls, and all he's thinking of is brining you home and kissing you all over.

• He's completely whipped.

• However, the moment he sees a sleazy looking drunk guy dancing much too close to you for his liking, he's immediately on edge.

• Tangerine knows better than anyone you can take care of yourself, you're a smart girl, and still his hand grips the glass so tightly he's afraid it will shatter.

• It isn't until he sees your expression, one of fear and uneasiness, that he snaps.

• Tangerine doesn't hesitate to walk up to the man, snatching his wrist just as his hand goes to squeeze your ass and you spin around, confused and relieved to see your boyfriend standing in front of you. You'll say his name, his real name, in a hushed whisper.

• "I suggest you think before you decide to put your hands on a lady, mate," he snarls with fake kindness, his blue eyes narrowing coldly. He's pissed. He's beyond pissed!

• If the man doesn't listen and makes some snarky comment, his anger will only spike. Without realizing, he's pushed you behind him and he's keeping you close.

• "You're embarrassing yourself," her says, staring daggers at the man. "Can't hold yer liquor, can ya?" Now he's just plain making fun of him, enjoying tormenting someone who wanted to cause you harm.

• You squeeze Tangerine's arm in attempt to tell him you're okay, but he isn't having any excuses. He saw the guy try and touch you without your consent and he's furious.

• If the guy continues to taunt him and make comments, Tangerine has no qualms hitting him in the nose and sending him falling backwards and making a scene.

• He doesn't give a flying fuck.

• "Darlin', he was making you uncomfortable," he whispers into your hair, his back pressed against the dark bar hallway near the restrooms as you touch over his bruised knuckles from how hard his rings had scraped the man's face. "He tried to put his hands on you. He deserves to be beaten to a pulp and worse. Actually, 'll go back in there now and,"

• Tangerine really has no filter.

• If you tell him you want him to stay with you and he melts immediately.

• "I just don't like when arseholes like him think they can bother my girl when she's just having fun," Tangerine smoothes a hand down your cheek. "You look lovely dancing," he'll compliment you and kiss your nose, which makes you flustered and his grin widen.

You walk out of your house for the last time. The building holds many memories, some bad and some good. It's been 5 years since the breakup and you've finally decided to pack up your things for good and leave everything behind.

Your ex, Wonwoo, left the day he told you that he was moving out. At the time, Wonwoo was in his own head thinking that you were too good for him. That you deserved better. So, he told you he was breaking up with you for your own good. As much as you tried to get him to stay, he still left.

"It's better for you, Y/n. We can't stay together." He looks at you with somber eyes.

"Please! We...we can work something out. There must be something we can do." You grab his hand.

He looks at you for a minute and sighs. His mouth opens to say something but nothing comes out. He slowly slips out of your grip and leaves you sitting there in shock. The sight of his figure leaving the door as you sit there helpless is something you will never forget.

Since then, neither of you broke no contact. Although, you've gotten really close but ultimately decided not to.

After you settled in your new apartment, you decided to take a walk to the nearest park. The walk was quite tiring so you sat down at a bench to cool off. There aren't that many people at the park, especially since it's noon. Some runners, some having a picnic, and some walking their dogs. While observing people, you recognize someone. Is that... Wonwoo? He was all alone, walking around with his hands in his pockets while observing the scenery. Emotions start to become mixed around in your head and your first instinct was to run and hide. That isn't what you did though. You stayed sat on the bench and just stared off into the distance, consumed by your thoughts. All sounds became muffled as you continued to think. There was one in particular that broke through your concentration.

"y/n. Y/n. Y/N!" You felt your body shake and you look towards the source.

It's him. Wonwoo.

"Hi..." He smiles and examines your face, "Thought I lost you there" He chuckles.

"What are you doing here?" You ask baffled.

"I was just uh.. walking around. To clear my head. Didn't think I'd see you here either." He puts his hand on the back of his head and smiles sheepishly.

"A-anyway. Do you have a minute? I want to talk. About us."

"Uh.. sure." You respond.

"Alright! Let's talk over a drink." He waves you over as he walks backwards.

"Seeing you after all this time really brings back memories. All I can think of are good ones." He smiles.

"It really makes me realize that I messed up. Badly."

"I'm glad you know." You chuckle.

"Looking at you reminds me of all the pain I experienced after our breakup although I can't say I'm not glad you're acknowledging your mistakes."

You take a sip of your coffee and stare at him waiting for him to say something.

"Look, I genuinely cannot imagine my life without you anymore. The past 5 years have been hell. Please, just give me one more chance to show you how important you are to me." He's staring at you with extreme determination.

Overwhelmed with emotions you say, "I... don't know what to say. I need more time to think about this."

He looks at you understandingly, "Okay, just let me know if you'll give me another chance. I can wait. Here's my number."

You type in his number into your phone and get up to leave.

"See you around, Wonwoo." You wave him goodbye.

As you walk out of the cafe you think to yourself, can you really love him for a second time?

6. Pizza party: get a large pizza and finish the whole thing (make it 2 if you get thin crust)

7.Low Hanging Fruit: Get on all fours and take a picture. Show someone how low your belly is hanging these days.

8. Self care day: get comfy and surround yourself with your favorite snacks. Relax today and graze while doing all your favorite low effort activities.

9. Probable pounds: Roll 2d4. You need to weigh that much more (in pounds) before you stop eating tonight.

10. Empty calories: get at least 2500 calories from drinks today (you're probably going to want a milkshake or 2).

11. Extra large thighs… I mean fries: treat yourself to your favorite fast food and make sure it's over 5000 calories (it's okay if that means you need to treat yourself for 2 meals, you deserve it)

12. Find your max: count calories and stuff yourself until you physically can't anymore. That's your max. If you've already done this once, make sure to beat your last score.

13. Quiet contemplation: turn off all media and set a timer for 10 minutes. I want you to lay down, get comfy, close your eyes and just spend this time exploring your body. Has it gotten bigger? Softer? Where do you feel most sensitive?

14. Touch yourself while you stuff yourself: get in touch with your hedonistic side by masturbating while you eat. Don't cum until you've had at least 2000 calories.

15. The best shape you'll ever be in: do as many situps or pushups (your choice) as you can. Subtract that number from 20 and then multiply by 500. That's your calorie goal for today (if it's a negative, multiply by -1 and add 2000 calories)

16.Just Desserts: in addition to your normal meals today, you're going to eat at least 2500 calories of desserts.

ok so like. the romance genre, by definition, presents the love story as being essential to the main characters' happiness. that's just what the genre is. I have complicated feelings about it as someone who isn't very romantically inclined irl, but loves love stories. for the most part I just suspend my disbelief- in real life, acting like romantic love is essential for happiness is generally a bad idea, but in a Romance, that's just part of the fictional world's structure. like I don't watch Star Wars and go "this is bullshit" because the Force isn't real.

but when it comes to a character like eloise bridgerton, my suspension of disbelief starts to wear thin, because it is such a core part of her character that she does not want to get married. and she's not a lizzy bennet type, who just doesn't want to get married to someone she doesn't love, or a kate sharma, who refused to pursue romantic love because she didn't think she deserved to prioritize her own happiness. eloise hates the institution of marriage and the patriarchal system it upholds, and for good reason!

i think bridgerton exists in this weird space where it romanticizes the hell out of the era, but does still acknowledge the issues of the time. lady featherington is broke because her husband is an idiot who couldn't manage money. marina had to marry herself off to a stranger because her reputation was wrecked when her pregnancy got out. cressida is treated as a failure by her parents for not securing a husband. and, as eloise points out, her brothers (especially the ones who aren't viscount) can run around doing whatever they want, while she and other women can't go anywhere or do anything without permission. she has no control over her money or very few ways to earn it herself; if she got married, her husband would get to control every penny. at least if she's unmarried, the man holding the pursestrings is anthony, who eloise knows would never leave her with nothing and would treat her fairly. any potential husband, she has no such guarantee. plus, she knows she'd be expected to pump out babies as soon as possible, which she understandably is not eager to do, given what nearly happened to violet.

in universe, it is a guarantee that all the bridgertons will end up with happy marriages where everyone is treated well. they're romantic leads, it's one of the perks. but eloise doesn't know that. she sees her mother and siblings' perfect matches and sees not a law of the universe in which she exists, but simply that they all got lucky. if she rolls the dice, she has no reason to think it'll end up the same way.

so given that eloise's dislike of marriage as a whole is a key part of her character, and she has completely valid reasons for feeling that way, I do worry about how they'll do her season. if they put her with philip, like in the books, I don't know how they'll be able to do it so it doesn't come off as "eloise needed to find The One Perfect Man who could change her mind about marriage and Fix Her".

TanFang have so much potential. They really deserve much more screentime. Like Fang slowly opening up to Tan about his feelings, about his parents being not present. So he had to take care of Phum as his big brother. But also about him feeling lonely and not loved by the people who should. (Because their parent put their work over the needs of their children.) Of course he has Phum. But again he doesn't wanna show any weakness toward his little brother. So he pushed it all down. He doesn't show that he cares. I think it's his way of protecting himself of getting hurt and disappointed if he expects to much. And I really would have loved to see Fang working through it. Slowly realising that Tan is here to stay, that he won't leave him no matter what. And that he loves and protects him, so he can finally rest. It's exhausting to keep the "I don't care" mask on all day, cause deep down he want to care. He want to feel. And I'm so happy that Tan is breaking down that wall, that he build around his heart, bit by bit. Getting Fang to open up. He showers him with love and he always has his back. At the beginning of the Serie Tan invited his friends out to go eat together. And why? Cause he's lonely too. They're two lonely soul that found each other and they find comfort in that. And I love it. I would love to see a deep talk of them. Laying out they're worries and getting comfort by one another. I need a cute cuddle scene of them.🥺

And I really like how Fang slowly opens up to Tan, just like in today's ep (ep 11). After noticing that Tan waited for him for so long, his face got all soft🥺 Him being thankful and sorry toward Tan result in him calling him "Babe". And I swear Tan could have died in a heartattack right there. He's been calling Fang babe since they started dating, but fang never said the word back. And finally he did. And I couldn't be happier for Tan🥺Tan deserves do much love and affection as well. He always tried to make Fang laugh, that's just his nature. He's the mood maker. But he also needs place to rest and reload his energy. So again. I need them to cuddle it out. The recharge their energy.

My point is, they could have made a whole show of them alone. They story has so much potential,... Hopefully we will see more of them in the future 😭

[tw: SA and depression/mental illness] Will Byers's story is so mental illness-coded in addition to obviously being about SA, trauma, and traumatic experiences that are unique to being queer. Thinking back to the final shots of season 1 in which the Byers family is so happy and everything seems fine because Will is back, he's safe, it's all over; but that doesn't mean any of it is even remotely over for Will.

Will's POV in season 2 hits so hard because it reminds me of what it was like to be a young teenager navigating depression and other mental illnesses despite being externally happy and outgoing. Will is glad to be part of his friend group again, despite how traumatized he is, but the boys, by no fault of their own, simply can't relate and can't even begin to fathom what Will has been through, which obviously leaves Will feeling isolated. It's like, he's grateful of course for all of their friendship, but he still feels like he's going through it all on his own. He's thankful for the support and love his friends and loved ones can give him even though it's Not Enough.

And that's what mental illness so often feels like. You may have the overwhelming love and support of loved ones, but your mental illness makes you feel alone anyways, because those who are not experiencing what you're going through just don't have the tools, advice, or firsthand knowledge that is going to allow them to sympathize with you or make you feel better. There's also the secrecy element, as you'll rarely share with even your closest loved ones the full extent of your suffering. And of course, you feel like you're quite literally "going crazy" (wink wink), dealing with this intense suffering that makes you see and believe things that aren't true while everyone else around you seems fine, unbothered, and completely functional.

Even in s3 when Will is supposedly "well" again, he is isolated from the rest of the party, has completely separate priorities from them, and is simply disinterested in the fun, stupid drama they're getting themselves into because he is on a totally separate wavelength, trying to heal from trauma and learn to cope with what he's been through. And once again, his friends simply lack the tools needed to be able to fully be there for him, leaving him once again sidelined, processing things on his own. It totally reminds me of being told things like "I thought things were good now/I thought you were doing better now?" Most mental illnesses cannot "get better" or completely go away, you simply learn how to manage them and they get better sometimes and flare up badly at others. It's an ebb and flow. And Will's trauma and his entire connection to the Upside Down is a daily struggle that he successfully stays on top of some of the time but buckles underneath the weight of at others. And sometimes it's like people around him expect him to be able to "keep up" or function at the same level the rest of them are at, completely ignorant to how debilitating his condition is. He's always alone in a sense because no one else can truly relate to having been stuck in the UD all that time and also literally possessed and taken advantage of by the Mindflayer and Vecna.

And then Will's s4 story is so representative of what mental illness can make you feel and believe about yourself. Despite all of the suffering he's gone through, he doesn't believe he's worthy of the one thing he wants the most, which is Mike's love. He won't even allow himself to be a contender for it, won't even put himself up for consideration because he simply doesn't believe he deserves it. He feels like a mistake, and that's exactly how chronic mental illness makes you feel: that you don't deserve happiness or any of the things you want or care about.

All I know is that it will be SO cathartic to see my gay, traumatized, mentally ill boy actually find happiness and get the love he so badly wants with Mike!! The odds feel so stacked against his him, but Will Byers is going to be happy and beyond loved and taken care of by his man for the rest of his life.

I had a conversation with my mom about commissions--she’s of the opinion that you shouldn’t have to wait super long to get what you paid for. I’m the opposite; I think artists should be able to take as long as they need to finish a commission, and I’m totally cool with waiting for months even for them to get back to me. Surprisingly enough I’m very patient when it comes to commissioning other people lol. Maybe I just think that way bc I’m an artist myself so I totally get the struggle. (And I also take time with my comms too.) My mom is not an artist so she doesn’t really grasp the amount of time and effort it takes, so she expects results immediately. Which like. I get that too? I dunno. What do you all think? Are you the kind of patient person who’s totally chill with an artist taking months to finish your commission? Or do you want it to be done within a reasonable amount of time, like 2-3 weeks?

I was trying to listen to some dramatic music to get my head in the game of coming up with interesting ways for Roxy, the Minis and Barney (Foxy's bird) to take down all the other animatronics, and I forgot my fatal flaw of finding horses incredibly dramatic.
