I absolutely love the shift of authority and responsibility between this two. One minute, Nami’s the one shouting orders and then the next, it’s Zoro.
No matter how stubborn (and dominant) their personalities are, they automatically follow whatever the other one is saying when the situation is serious. They both know who is the person for the situation.
Initially, Nami is the one ordering Zoro and Jinbei to hurry back to the ship… the navigation and escape of the Thousand Sunny is on her hands—her task and her responsibility. But when Nusjuro went straight for them to attack them, the whole scenario changed from waiting -for-the-others-so-we-can-escape to we-need-to-fight-to-escape.
And the authority and responsibility shifted from hers to Zoro’s—who will now face off with an Elder in his hybrid form, so they can high-tail it out of there. It was Zoro’s turn to shout orders at her on what to do now that danger is upon them. Because this is his turf now, just as sailing and escaping is Nami’s.

Um if you write Jason having to get drugs for Catherine I want you dead btw. Not only does it tell me you assume the average drug dealer would give the hard shit to a very small child and then not supervise them at all (classist stereotype that all drug dealers are inherently evil + lazy writing with no grasp on reality) and you genuinely think that Catherine was CONSTANTLY high, as if that's even possible without overdosing far sooner than she did. That's without even getting into the bad mom Catherine propaganda.

Wait did both Alice and Zane record Alan when he was at his lowest point? Didn't Alice make her exhibition to show the world what she sees? To show Alan the truth about himself? That it never was Scratch visiting and terrorizing her, but Alan himself? Did she depict his "self" and Zane depicted his "persona"? The two sides of him that he wishes he can eliminate bc they brought him into trouble (Scratch representing anger and the fallouts with paparazzi and stuff, Zane representing his self-destructive behavior with alcohol and drugs and the party nights)? The both sides that caused his marriage to start falling apart? Was that the reason Zane made that video of Alan when they were on that booze and drug-fueled bender while working on the Return manuscript? Is this party video the companion piece?? Alan's downward spiral, same as Alice's photos? Do they fucking work together aasdffjfjfkfk
