I’ve put together random photographs of people and places that reflect some of the universes around me; they represent the world in its unique way—love, sibling, friendship, laughter, work, music, travel, the sea, animal, green, freedom, and the list continues.
The photographs are in no way related to this post below, or maybe they are:
We must be kind to ourselves. We must be kind to nature. We must be kind to others.
I’m reflecting on Adaku’s insights in our #TGIF session on ClubHouse, about how our DNA is compromised by the harmful effects of the things we’ve introduced into our system—how these manifest in our actions and shape our being—I felt inspired to write this:
Nature is love.
Nature is the universe.
Nature is God.
Nature beckons us to listen—to the world around, to ourselves, and to the universe.
Do you recognise that you are nature?
That you are the universe?
That you are consciousness?
That you are older than what you think you are?
You are a vibrant energy weaving through multiple universes. When one universe is affected, the ripple affects all connected universes.
Nature says listen: when you harm nature, you harm yourself; when you harm yourself, you harm nature.

yes seeing the palestine tags not trending for days in a row is disheartening — but that doesn’t mean we’re not talking about it. we are still talking and sharing and reading and we will continue to do so until palestine and every other group of people struggling for freedom are liberated, and beyond.
we have known since this intense new wave of ‘israeli’ aggression started that all social media platforms have been suppressing all forms of palestinian content. so do not become disheartened or demotivated by the lack of tags trending—
*because that does not mean we have stopped talking.*
as people who are not currently in palestine, and especially as non-palestinians, we do not have the right to become demotivated by anything in this situation. we do not have the right to complain that it seems like nothing is changing. we do not have the right to lose hope when palestinians have been passionately fighting the occupation since it began.
and, do not forget about the other struggles for liberation in the world right now. keep talking about palestine, keep talking about congo, keep talking about sudan, about the uyghurs, about the rohingya, about *humanity.*
from the river to the sea 🇵🇸

in summer of 2021 i got my first shot of the covid vaccine in a rural vaccination centre. the person working there was very respectful and asked how to gender me correctly. it was a very small interaction but it stuck with me, especially after i got misgendered a bunch at my city's vaccination centre when i got shot #2. in summer of 2022 i talked with some people at a trans meet up and one of them told me that their transfem friend worked at that rural vaccination centre and had briefed the rest of the staff on trans identity. i have such a fondness for this trans stranger whose efforts impacted me in this small way and made my experience getting vaccinated a positive one. and it gives me hope that the work i do when i educate cis people around me might have a positive impact on trans people i will never meet

Living under amatanormativity can be exhausting, but there are good people out there. I have this friend who sends me almost every aro post that she finds on her dash. I think she might only follow them because of me. I have another that spent three days straight researching aromanticism because they wanted to be a good ally. My sister has accepted me so wholeheartedly that the thought of me dating is now horrifying to her. And us aros have each other's backs.
And yeah, none of that makes up for the amatonormative world we live in, but it brings some light into your life, doesn’t it? Sure, the sky is black, but aren't the stars worth living for? 🌟🌙
