Dabi

🔥 The first time that Dabi saw you, you were left at the park because your parents had forgotten you, he remembered watching as you looked around helplessly, you were 5 at the time, eventually they realised and came back for you. 🔥 The second time he saw you, you were sitting on your own while your parents fawned over your younger sibling, cooing and asking them to show off their quirk, that was the first time that Dabi spoke to you. 🔥 The third time he saw you, you were actually looking for him, your parents again had left you to your own devices, they didn’t notice when you wandered over to the skate park attached and found him loitering in the corner, where you spent the whole time. 🔥 The time that you finally decided to go with Dabi, he had offered a few times, telling you that your parents were never going to appreciate you the way that you wanted and you were better off forgetting them, but you finally took him up on the offer when they told you that you were never going to be anything them considering your weak quirk. 🔥 Dabi doesn’t actually know what it was that possessed him to take in a child, maybe it was what your parents said, maybe it was the quirk you had or maybe it was just that you reminded him of himself and decided to give you a chance. 🔥 Your quirk allowed you to put things in a pocket dimension that only you could access, you unfortunately could only extend that to inanimate objects which was why your parents thought that it was useless, however people became inanimate after they had stopped breathing. 🔥 Dabi at first thought that he’d be over it in a couple of months but the more that he taught and the more time that you spent together, he found it harder and harder to walk away from you. 🔥 You hide a number of weapons in your dimension, as well as anything that you stole, cherished or straight up just didn’t want to carry. 🔥 Dabi never said anything but he definitely kept an eye on you when you interacted with anyone that he didn’t trust. 🔥 “Kid, be more careful, I know that you can take care of yourself but no one around here is worth the trouble that would cause.”

Keigo Takami

🪶 Keigo found you on a rescue mission, they had actually come looking for all of your family but you were the only one that arrived in time to save. 🪶 He assumed that they wanted to sell you given the fact that your quirk mirrored the abilities of a Gorgon, one look and you could turn someone to stone, when he got there he attempted to take the blindfold and you fought him before telling him that he couldn’t he’d be a statue. 🪶 After taking you back, the doctors and nurses quickly found that you wouldn’t talk to anyone and as a last ditch effort they brought Hawks back in. 🪶 Turns out that given the fact that he was the one that saved you, he was the only one that you trusted enough to talk to. The commission decided that you would live with him until they felt that you were ready to re-enter society (become the same type of hero he was). 🪶 On your first birthday with him, he got someone to make you a pair of glasses that allowed you to see the world without turning people to stone, he had honestly never been so happy. 🪶 He remembered at the end of the day he asked what your favourite colour was and you told him it was the red of his wings. 🪶 He took you shopping for the first time and if you get easily overwhelmed then you might fight that his earphones end up over your ears to help you filter out unnecessary noise while you chose some new clothes. 🪶 Given the fact that some hawks eat snakes, his more animal instincts weren’t all for the idea of you having a pet snake but given the fact that your quirk gave you an affinity for them he found a way to get over it. 🪶 He remembers the day that you became more like father and child, he came home completely exhausted but tried to keep smiling and you reminded him of something that he said to you. 🪶 “Sometimes it’s braver to not be okay, kid, I save you every time.”

Tomura Shigaraki

🤚 Neither of you really know how it happened given the fact that Shigaraki usually kills everything without a second thought, he recognises that he probably should when you wander into the bar. 🤚 The first thing he asked was where your parents were and your answer ade his blood boil. They had thrown you out because your quirk manifested and they really weren’t a fan. 🤚 That was when he asked what your quirk was and you asked him for something that he didn’t care about being broken, you then showed him your quirk molecular combustion, much like him you had a deadly touch. 🤚 At first it was agreed that you would be a good asset and that was the end of it, however as you grew up with him he became more attached. 🤚 You make him realise how messy he is, when he walks around complaining about something only for you and Kurogiri to tell him that he was the one that was responsible. 🤚 Teaches you how to fight and defend yourself as well as controlling your quirk and by the time that you were 15 you were his most trusted ally, if only because he had basically raised you himself. 🤚 You are literally the only person that is allowed to touch him and considering both your quirks it confuses everyone that knows you. 🤚 If you want to go back and make your parents pay for the way that they treated you, he won’t stop you in most cases he’d probably encourage the behaviour. 🤚 You guys are very rarely apart, he didn’t actually like having you out of his sight, you’ve been around for 10 years and even suggesting that you could go undercover triggers him, because you aren’t disposable. 🤚 “You're worth more than the moves you make, you're an SSR character.”

Kai Chisaki

💉 Kai had no intention of having a child anywhere near him, but you were worth it considering his particular ailment. 💉 When he first met you, you were only young, your quirk having just manifested, he saw you on the street as you walked over to a man, seemingly homeless and very ill, you looked over him for a second before closing your fist and opening it again to pass over a pill, the man was better in seconds. 💉 When Kai came over he crouched in front of you, you twisted your head looking at him for a second before putting your hand out another pill in your hand. 💉 Despite the fact that you were 5 you seemed unable to talk but you understood him he asked about your parents and you shook your head. 💉 Kai figured that you were intriguing enough that he would deal with the consequences if this turned out to be more of a kidnapping. 💉 Kai liked having you around. You told him if he should avoid something and even knew that he didn’t like being touched. He found that your quirk allowed you to see and then decelerate or accelerate an illness. 💉 If he wanted something from someone he could change their body to create an illness that you could manipulate the illness 90% of the time guaranteeing your success. 💉 He’d never outwardly tell you that he liked having you around or that he thought of you as one of his own, instead he would protect you, defend you and make sure that you are provided for. 💉 Definitely taught you basic academics and when you showed an interest in medicine (surprise surprise) he was more than happy to teach you. 💉 “Well done, you're not completely useless.”

A Perfect Match

summary: Chisaki isn't looking forward to meeting his soulmate, at least not until he discovers that you are Quirkless.

It’s just so annoying. Even though he’s lived with it all his life, Chisaki swears he’ll never get used to seeing that godforsaken timer counting down. It’s always there, in the corner of his periphery, and it only ever disappears when he shuts his eyes and lets everything fade to black.  

A soulmate mark. That’s what it’s called. People have different variations of it—some know the first words their soulmate will ever speak to them, some have a red string tying them to their soulmate that only they can see, and others, like him, have been stuck with a timer since birth that tells him how much longer until he meets his soulmate for the first time.  

And based on how much time is remaining, it looks like he’ll be meeting his soulmate today.  

Chisaki isn’t excited. If anything, he’s dreading the encounter, and he just wishes it would hurry up and be over with. At least then, the timer will disappear, and it’ll be one less thing grating at his nerves. He doesn’t believe in the phenomenon of soulmates, he has no desire for trifling matters such as love, and for a man who loathes being touched, he can’t imagine it would work out anyhow.  

Much of the day goes as planned. He helps Pops with some paperwork, cleans up the office to keep all those pesky germs away, and Chisaki briefly wonders how he’ll even meet you, since he intends on staying home all day.  

“Chisaki,” Pops suddenly says. “Would you mind going out into town and buying me a few things? I wrote a list of what I need.”  

Ah. So, that’s how.  

“Of course,” Chisaki nods, and he puts on his jacket before slipping his shoes on by the door. “I’ll be back soon. It won’t take long.”  

Seriously, it really won’t. Regardless of the fact that he’s going to run into you, he has no intention of staying and chatting. He’s going to reject you right on the spot. Soulmates aren’t real, anyways. What a stupid notion, to think that someone’s greatest love can be predetermined.  

Chisaki adjusts his mask more tightly, then steps outside. He reaches the store quickly enough, and although he hates having to touch things that countless strangers have laid hands on, his gloves provide him with a thin layer of protection from all the filth.  

He tracks down everything he needs at a steady pace, and as he reaches for the very last item on his list, someone else reaches for it at the exact same time.  

Immediately, Chisaki recoils, and he manages to avoid touching a stranger’s hand. But right as he’s biting back the urge to grimace, he realizes that the timer—the same timer he’s had all his life—his finally disappeared.  

Ah.  

So, it’s you. Chisaki turns his head to the side and finds himself looking at a young woman, who is staring back at him wide-eyed and breathless. He has a pretty good idea of what’s going on in your head. You must have realized it, too.  

After more than two decades, he’s finally met his soulmate.  

You’re pretty. Chisaki can at least admit that much. You have nice features, you dress in a way that suggest you care about your appearance, and you have a pleasant, clean scent, which means that you take personal hygiene seriously—thank god.  

But all that being said, Chisaki still has no desire to strike up a relationship with you. He doesn’t enjoy being around people. He can’t even bear to touch people, not counting Pops, who is his family. Not to mention that he’s part of the yakuza, and from what he gleams, you seem to be an average citizen.  

There’s just no reality in which this would ever work out.  

“U-Um,” you stammer, visibly nervous. “Are you...? I mean, um... it’s you, right? You must be my... soulmate.”  

It’s a bit endearing how flustered you are, and for a moment, Chisaki feels slightly guilty about what he’s going to do.  

Still. It’s better to tell you the truth now rather than let you get your hopes up. 

“The timer,” Chisaki nods. “I have it too. Well, I did have it. Up until a few seconds ago, at least.”  

A smile blooms across your lips, and it tugs at his heartstrings a bit, because goodness, you really are adorable.  

“I knew it!” you beam. “Oh my god, I can’t believe this is really happening! I’m so excited! But I guess that was pretty obvious, haha. Sorry. I’m going to try to calm down now, but it’s just—this is just so—”  

Chisaki raises a hand. “Before you say anything else, I need to let you know that I have no interest in pursuing a relationship with you.”  

It only takes a second for your expression to sink. 

“...what?” you mumble softly. “But... we’re soulmates. I thought that means we’re supposed to be together for the rest of our lives. I didn’t mean that we should start dating right away, but at the very least, if we could start by getting to know each other...”  

“I’m sorry,” Chisaki says. “I don’t have much interest in romance. I prefer to keep to myself, and frankly, I’m not even sure I believe in soulmates. It all seems far too convenient. It was nice meeting you, but we’ll have to leave it here.”  

By the looks of things, you’re on the verge of tears. Chisaki isn’t a very emotional person, but he can’t fault you for getting your hopes up. This must have been something you’d been looking forward to for many, many years. If only your soulmate was someone else. It’s a pity. You seem like a very nice woman, and he hopes that you’ll find happiness one way or another. Just not with him.  

You swallow hard, just barely managing to hold back your tears. “I... understand. I’m sorry. I came into this with all these expectations, but I never stopped to think that the other person might not have been as excited as I was. I guess I was just really hopeful. I’m Quirkless, so... people have always thought less of me. I figured my soulmate would like me no matter what, but we’re pretty much strangers, so I don’t know what I was thinking. Anyways, I’m sorry again for bothering you. I’d ask your name, but it would probably just make the whole thing more painful.”  

You turn to leave, but in that moment, Chisaki’s eyes have gone completely wide.  

What did she just say?  

“Wait!” he cries out, and you reel to a halt, surprised by the outburst.  

Now it’s Chisaki’s turn to swallow. The roof of his mouth feels dry and uncomfortable, and he worries that perhaps his ears deceived him. 

“You’re Quirkless,” he breathes. “Is that... really true?”  

“I’m not sure who would lie about something like that,” you chuckle weakly. “It’s not exactly something to be proud of.”  

Wrong. You don’t even know just how wrong you are.  

In a world teeming with filth and sickness, those who haven’t been contaminated by the Quirk pandemic are a rarity. People like you are unblemished and pure, and... 

Shit. Chisaki is starting to believe that soulmates might be the real deal, after all.  

“It’s okay not to have a Quirk,” he says, and it’s insane how fast his heart is beating now. “No. It’s better not to have a Quirk. I much prefer it that way.”  

You press your lips together. “Are you making fun of me right now? Listen, I said I was sorry for bothering you—”  

“I’m not making fun of you. I’m being completely serious. Quirks... I’ve never liked them. Just the thought of them makes me sick.” He pauses, inhales sharply to collect himself, then lets out a heavy sigh. “The reason I turned you away is because I thought it would be impossible for us to have a relationship. I break out into hives the moment anyone touches me. I distance myself from people, and the thought of being intimate with someone has always repulsed me. And Quirks are largely to blame for that, because Quirks are a mutation. A disease. That’s why I didn’t think we had a chance. But now that you say you’re Quirkless... I’m starting to think differently.”  

You arch a brow, and it’s clear that you don’t understand where he’s coming from. Fuck. He hopes he isn’t scaring you off. He’s finally, finally found someone who he has an actual chance of being with, and he doesn’t want to ruin this.  

“If you don’t mind... would it be alright if I held your hand?” Chisaki asks breathlessly.  

Once again, you stare back at him in confusion, but it thankfully doesn’t look like you’re opposed to it. You reach out a hand, slow and hesitant, and at the same time, Chisaki peels off on his gloves, letting his skin breathe free.  

When your fingers meet his own, he lets out a soft gasp. Not out of disgust, not out of apprehension, but out of sheer relief.  

No hives. No uncomfortable tightness in his chest.  

You aren’t sick like the rest, which means he can touch you to his heart’s content.  

Chisaki would have liked to hold your hand for much, much longer, but out of fear of scaring you off, he reluctantly lets go and gives you some space.  

“I just wanted to confirm something,” he mumbles. “If it’s you... I’m able to touch you just fine. I don’t get sick. It looks like we’re soulmates for a reason.”  

The look in your eyes is far from judgmental, and when you finally muster up your next words, Chisaki can hear a little hiccup catch in your throat. 

“So... you really don’t mind that I’m Quirkless?” you ask.  

“Not at all. It’s just the opposite. I feel comfortable around you precisely because you’re Quirkless. That must be why we were fated to meet. Because we’re a perfect match.”  

Chisaki has never flirted a day in his damn life, but something he said must have tickled your fancy, because you blush and shyly avert your gaze.  

“I was really worried there for a moment,” you mumble. “It sounded like you wanted nothing to do with me.”  

“I’m sorry,” Chisaki frowns. “I was too quick to judge. I’m very particular about certain things, and I thought there was no chance. But I was mistaken. And if you’re still open to it... I would love the opportunity to get to know you better. Starting with your name. Would you mind telling me your name?”  

“I’m [Name],” you reply, and you flash him another bright, genuine smile. God, he swears he’s already fallen in love with that smile.  

“It suits you. I’m Chisaki. Chisaki Kai.” He takes a moment to think it through, and then, he does something he’s never done before in public.  

He removes his mask so that you can see his entire face.  

Your eyes widen. “Oh, wow. Chisaki, you’re so handsome! I didn’t realize my soulmate would be so gorgeous. Now I can’t help but feel self-conscious by comparison...”  

“I appreciate the compliment,” he chuckles. “But you’re beautiful. I thought so even before I found out you were Quirkless.”  

He watches, with great delight, as you blush yet again. You’re just so adorable. He never thought he would be thanking his lucky stars for having a soulmate mark, let alone one that caused him endless frustration for more than twenty years, but here he is.  

“I was going to head straight home after running some errands for my old man, but how about we sit outside somewhere and chat for a while?” he asks hopefully.  

Your smile returns, this time, wider than ever.  

“Sure!”  

As it turns out, Chisaki doesn’t get back home until much, much later, and he finds Pops waiting for him with his arms crossed.  

“Chisaki,” Pops frowns. “What was the hold-up? You’re usually so efficient when it comes to these things. I was expecting you back hours ago.”  

Normally, Chisaki would have apologized at great length for inconveniencing Pops. He is, after all, the man that brought him and raised him as his own. He loves and cherishes him, and will do anything in his power to repay him. 

But right now, Chisaki is up in cloud nine.  

“I met my soulmate,” he says, setting the shopping bags down. “Sorry, Pops. We got to talking for a while.”  

“Oh?” Pops lifts a brow, and tries—but fails—to hide his smirk. “But I thought you said you wanted nothing to do with them. You told me you didn’t believe in such things.”  

“Well, I changed my mind.”  

“I’ve never known you to be the type to do that. You’re stubborn to a fault. But I’m not complaining. It sounds like you’ve turned over a new leaf. So, then, tell me about this soulmate of yours.”  

For the second time that same day, Chisaki removes his mask—and it’s so that Pops can see his ear-splitting grin.  

“She’s perfect.”

chisaki stood in front of you, arms crossed and glaring down at you. you had been nothing but disobedient ever since you had gotten here. he had imagined you were the type to easily break and give in to his demands, but to even get you to the point where you'd stop screaming and hitting him whenever he entered the room was hard work! 

"no."

you didn't even look at him. chisaki was starting to get frustrated with you, but a small part of him was glad you weren't making this so easy. after all, if you had just followed his every command from the start, he'd have to worry if you would've done the same for any other man kidnapping you. 

"say it, brat"

"no!"

chisaki stepped closer and you immediately flinched. he grabbed your chin and forced you to look up at him. 

"be good, darling. just say that you love me, alright~?"

he hummed in his most charming voice, a stark contrast to his usual behavior. but you weren't buying it. 

"screw you..!"

chisaki glared at you and shoved you aside, before walking up and down the room quietly. you were starting to worry that he might be thinking of things he could do to you, but instead he stopped by the door and glared at you one last time. 

"i'll be back here tomorrow at the same time. you better start to behave by then, darling. otherwise you'll get to see me really angry!"

YANDERE OVERHAUL HEADCANONS

He'd be attracted to people who don't have that 'sick disease' also known as a quirk. He'd want someone who's pure and clean and the minute he sees you and your quirkless form, he thinks you're an innocent naive helpless little darling that he NEEDS to protect since the pro heroes suck at doing their job

The idea of him keeping you locked away and isolating you from the rest of the world so you can rely ONLY on him for everything is really tempting and appealing to him (Sadistic prick)

If you had a really strong and useful quirk, he'd still be attracted to you though. Just, he'll make sure to get rid of it and rob you of it by stealing it so he won't have to see you 'suffer'. And THEN, he might lock you up and leave you in isolation 

If you're someone he decided to protect from everyone else, oh man... I PRAY for ya. He'll try befriending you and worming his way into you life and pretty soon, he'll ask you to come live with him. You agree but when you start rebelling against him, you'll be restricted from using your favorite things and lose your freedom

He thinks that he'd doing everything for the sake of your 'best interests' and to be honest, he knows more about you than anyone, even YOURSELF, considering the amount of time he spent stalking you and asking his men to keep an eye on you. He's like a doctor, but a really creepy and short tempered one. He'll give you regular checkups so expect constant fussing by him over you since he thinks proper health, nutrition and hygiene are a TOP priority 

If you're behaving well, you'll get all sorts of things you want but you'll have to EARN them by gaining his trust and behave good around him since there's only so much fun one can have when they sit and stare at a wall for 24 hours everyday 

The WORST thing this sicko might do is try convincing you in his sick and twisted way that he's NOT treating you bad. And after a while, you'll fall into his trap and web of lies and you'll start believing him and start feeling guilty if you misbehave around him. Damn does this dude know how to pull out an UNO Manipulation card 

Punishments are simple if you try escaping or behaving badly. If you yell and scream at him and throw insults at him, he'll just ban you from using your favorite things and it'll be a really LOOONNGGG time after you get them back. You won't be getting them back till you apologize and admit that you were in the wrong. If you manage to hit him or kick him, you'll be denied of his attention for a while even after you cry out an apology

He isn't going to punish you physically but his punishments can take a really HUGE toll on your mental health and state of mind and so.... like I said, for the sake of your sanity just don't argue with Bird Face and agree to everything he says 

If you manage to attack him with a weapon (One, HOW TF did you manage to do THAT!? And 2, that's actually way cool Hehehe.... okay, I sound like an evil twin of Sangwoo,imma stop nowTvT) , you'll be isolated in a room with white walls and he'll only come by to give you your meals and THAT'S IT. No screen time, no favorite things, nothing. He'll isolate you till you're practically BEGGING him for forgiveness 

This dude ain't a Romeo so don't expect him to be all lovey-dovey with you. But occasionally when he feels like it, he might hold you and hug you from time to time and say how glad he is to have found you, his little pure angel to care for and protect. Who KNOWS what would have happened to you by now if you didn't come under his care?

He'll let you roam around the backyard ONLY (Not without you having at least a dozen of heavily armed bodyguards keeping a close eye on you) and if you still complain, he's gonna make sure you're grateful for letting you at least step out of the house 

He'll let you look after Eri and Eri just ADORES you. She sees you as a parental figure and I won't be surprised if she develops platonic yandere tendencies and feelings towards you. She'll be sad and pouting when you won't focus your attention and honestly, WHO can resist her CUTE adorable little face? I sure as heck can't....

I sat on his bathroom floor and watched the blood pool. I felt the emptiness get replaced with the sting of the wounds along my arms and everything was finally quiet. This wasn't my first time doing this and expecting my life to end. I cut my arms and wrists before. I tried a gun in my mouth, and another one to my head. I even “accidentally” took too many pills on purpose. But every single time I deliberately forget to lock the door, and he has found me every single time. I tell myself to lock it every time I plan, too. Yet something deep inside me hopes he will open the door, and he does. Every single time. This time was no different.

The static noise in my head is replaced with the peaceful buzz of the burn in my arms, but I felt dizzier too. As if the sound echoed through my head, I heard the bathroom door open in the distance, even though it was directly to my left. Oh dear. Someone's here, I thought. I wonder if it's him.

"Fuck!" I heard them scream, and then rush to their knees in front of me. Oh, it's his face. It's him. Again. He's so lovely. Fuck. He held my face for a second and called my name. I blinked slowly and surveyed his frantic body. He immediately picked me up and placed me on the closed toilet seat. Grabbing bandages and rubbing alcohol, he attempted to clean my wounds before dressing them. The cuts were deep enough to make someone scream if alcohol were to touch them, but when he rubbed it across my arms, all I could do was flinch. My face remained empty. He looked at me with worry for my lack of reaction. "Y/N? Are you still here?" He asked me. I blinked again to answer, since I didn't feel like responding. Then he got up to get me some water.

When he returned, he held it close to my lips, but I refused to move. "Y/N. Please?" I still couldn't move. "Alright. We don't have time," he said, picking me up by the waist. When I refused to walk, he grabbed the rest of me bridal style and carried me to his lab. On the way there, he knocked on Chronostasis' door. "Chrono, come to my lab right now. Y/N needs help," he said, then continued onwards.

Upon arriving, he placed me in the hospital-like chair and immediately hooked me up to the IV. Chrono joined to aid Kai in taking care of me. The more I came back into focus, the angrier I became. I felt the frustration reach my fingertips and I almost jumped from my chair in a blind fury. Chrono grabbed onto me and held me down to the chair. Chisaki locked his eyes on mine. All I could see was worry. "Relax, hey relax. It’s okay,” Chrono said, barely audible to me. I couldn’t hear anything thanks to the sudden tunnel vision I was experiencing, so I ended up taking an arrow to the neck. Then I felt my entire body slow down within seconds. Even my heart. I could hear again. When I finally stopped huffing, Chrono removed the arrow. I stayed still and Chrono affectionately ruffled my hair, stepping back.

"Why do you do this? You make this hard for me," I finally spoke quietly.

"What is it that I’m making hard? Why do I make it so difficult for you?" Chisaki asked, a slight tremor in his voice as he squatted down to look at me. We both knew the answer to his questions but I stayed silent, tears in my eyes welling. I avoided his own eyes, training mine on his shoes. After a moment, he says "I do this because I love you. It's only natural for humans to protect the things they care for." He leans down to hug my waist, sighing shakily. It was then that I noticed he was wearing only a regular black mask. I felt his breathing through the cloth of his mask and my shirt, onto my stomach. A moment passed in complete silence. You could hear the IV drip.

"I detest you," I said almost furiously. Chrono saw Chisaki's face drop in silent fear, hurt deeply by the words. "I hate that I love you." His face softened as his tears began to well in his eyes. "I hate that I look forward to you always being there. It makes this so much more harder. Why do you do this to me? You have no business preserving someone else's life for your own selfish reasons. This feels...like hell." He pulled back and just watched me, tears threatening to fall. The guilt dropped its weight. "I'm sorry. Chisaki, I'm sorry. I...I know you're trying to help. I...you don't deserve this," I sniffled, rubbing my eyes. "I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to put you through this. You deserve better than that. I'm sorry." I gently raised my hands, motioning for him to stay away from me.

He speaks slowly. "It's worth it because its you. I wouldn't rather live any other life. You deserve to live because I think you are worth living for. You have changed me for the better. I can only return the favor. If I had to choose...I would choose to find you and pick you up and be there until you get better, and keep doing it over and over until you're free from it." I stare at him in suffocated silence. Then my own tears fall, and continue to fall until I can no longer speak.

After a moment, I mumble, "Why do I always hope you find me? Why?"

He holds a conflicted look on his face. "I'm...not sure. You...you love me, right? I'm something you care about right?"

I nodded. "I can't...protect you if I'm gone. But you're protecting me instead."

He pulls his mask down and smiles softly. "That's okay. We can take turns taking care of each other. That's what relationships are for." He raises from his knees and sighs. "What makes you feel better? Anything you need. I'll do it for you," he says quietly.

After a moment, I look at him and sigh, pulling the IV out. "You can get me a glass of water," I say, tired.

Chrono begins to move, holding a pensive expression on his face. Chisaki tells him he'll get it himself. Chrono pats Chisaki on the shoulder, then steps out, closing the door. Chisaki gets the water and I stand up to take the glass and drink it slowly, holding back more tears. I put the glass down as he comes in close and envelopes me in his arms. He had put on his jacket that he had left in the lab and wrapped his jacket around me in the hug, and I hold onto him, clinging tightly and taking in his scent. Feeling me grab onto him, he squeezes himself even tighter around me. I began to openly sob into his shoulders. "Please, please, please don't let me go. I don't want you to leave me," I whispered.

Petting my head, he answered just as quietly, "I would never. You could make me furious beyond reason and it will never be enough for me to leave you alone. Then we'd both be alone. You are my spouse, I am your husband. I'll die with you." Somehow I clung even tighter. I felt my fingers begin to ache. I don't know how long we stood there until I heard him laugh softly. "Come on. Lets take a bath." We headed back to the bedroom, walking slowly. He interlocked his fingers with mine and pulled me along behind him. When we reached the room, he lead me to the bathroom and began running a bath. we stand next to it and he offers to help me undress.

I lifted my arms slowly, wincing at the ache in my bandaged limbs as he pulled my shirt over my shoulders. Then I watched as he carefully undid the bandages, revealing the still fresh cuts. Tugging my waistband, he looked at me, then pulled my pants down. Despite us being married, I caught myself feeling flustered as he passed his eyes over my crotch. I took off my underwear and stepped into the large, round tub, sitting down to watch him take off his own clothes. I couldn't help but stare at him myself, watching his body.

He followed me into the tub, sitting next to me. I watched as he rest his arm on the edge of the tub behind my shoulders, almost leaning into me. “We can rest for however long you like, and then I can help wash, too. The scent of lavender and vanilla filled the room, reminding me of him.

“Okay,” I nodded and just sat back. We sat in now comfortable silence, drifting off into our own thoughts while still being anchored by one another. I thought about how completely startled I was at the fact that he wasn’t compulsively scrubbing the both of us down right now, and how he didn’t give his bloodied cloth gloves more than a second glance earlier. Not once did he break out either. He just seemed completely at ease. In turn I felt like I could breathe more easily too. “Thank you,” I said, leaning over him to place a gentle kiss on his neck. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” I continued, each “thank you” complimented by another kiss on his neck.

He sighed and placed a sud-covered hand in my hair. “Why do you thank me? I told you, there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing right now,” he answered.

I shrugged, sinking down to rest my chin on his shoulder. “I don’t know. I just feel bad. You can’t expect me to not feel even a little responsible,” I said quietly. He continued to pet me, and I felt our skin grow warmer with contact.

“You’re right. It’s okay if you do. But the reality of it is that it isn’t your fault. You’re just trying to find the best way to help yourself. Even if it isn’t actually helpful.” He turn to look at me so I raise up to meet his gaze. “There’s no malicious intent behind struggling with something like this. None of us have the right answer to being alive so what are you really responsible for in the first place?”

“…Fair enough,” I replied. He leans in apprehensively and lands a tender kiss on my lips. I close my eyes and sigh, feeling his presence in front of me. The simple thought that I was not in fact the only human being on the planet eased my mind tremendously. After a few more soft kisses I say, “Okay, I’d like to have this bath now.”

Chisaki nodded and grabbed the soap bottle, along with shampoo and conditioner, then the shower hose. "Would you like for me to wash your hair?" he asked me. I closed my eyes and nodded. He ran the water over my hair, making sure it was soaked in warm water before grabbing the shampoo and lathering his hands in it. I relished in the feeling of his fingers massaging my head, reaching every corner, crevice and ache. He washes it out and I put the conditioner in my hair myself.

Once I finished combing my fingers through my hair, I looked up to ask him, "Want me to wash yours too?" His hair was significantly shorter, so it wouldn't be too much of a task.

"Sure, why not," he sighed, and I did the same for him. As I scratched at his head with shampoo, I couldn't help but steal adoring glances of his face. His eyes were closed and he looked like he was in bliss. Then we both took the regular soap and scrubbed ourselves until we were completely clean. Chisaki grabbed the shower hose and washed my skin off then my hair, gently covering my eyes to keep the conditioner out. He lifted my face once the suds washed away and placed a small kiss on my forehead. Then he quickly washed himself off along with his hair and we get out of the tub.

I watched him drain it and clean up in the bathroom as I began to dry myself off, but as I'm watching him, I see him walk over to me, still sopping wet. He immediately grabbed fresh dressing for my wounds and recleaned them before applying it. I watched his face as he worked, completely void of any negative emotion. His fingers moved quickly and carefully, as if he were 100% sure of himself. Once he finished, he took the towel from my hands, burying my head in the towel and ruffling it nicely. I laughed softly at how willing he was to do anything for me and I took the towel back from him. "It's fine, I got it. Go help yourself, my love."

He huffed, slightly embarrassed. "Alright." I watch him dry himself off and then I follow him back into the bedroom. I went to my closet and searched for clean pajamas to put on, to commend his effort to help me. He dressed himself quickly and by the time I get my pants on he's already grabbing my t-shirt and pulling it on over my head. I sighed and smiled at him, giving in. He then helped me finish up moisturizing my hair, which was actually just him taking over completely. "I want to do this for you," he said.

"Okay," I answered softly.

Once he was finally done with me, he pulled me close and grabbed my hands to bring them around his waist. I interlocked my fingers together and rested them on his lower back as he brought his own larger arms around my shoulders to grab my back, squeezing me in an embrace. I rested my chin on his shoulder, accepting my pleasant fate. After a moment the tears threatened to return, and as if he sensed it himself, he let go, placed a small kiss on my neck and grabbed my hand.

"Let's go to bed. You must be exhausted."

I nodded, giving him another "Okay," except this time it was shakier.

He led me to our bed and let me get under the covers first before following and collapsing himself on top of me. He laughed softly and I followed along with him, which took me completely by surprise. He showered me with kisses and said, "Let's go to sleep. I can offer you myself as an additional blanket for tonight." He didn't normally act playful, so I could tell he was trying to cheer me up, and it was working.

Yawning, I answered, "That sounds good to me." He shifted above me and snuggled close. I knew he wasn't comfortable on top of me and would last 40 minutes tops up there, but I let him do as he pleased, because watching him try to make me happy was definitely making me happy. I definitely didn't last the 40 minutes, though. Before I could think of anything else to say to him, I fell deep asleep.

He kissed my forehead once more and whispered, "Good night. I'll see you tomorrow." He rolled off of me while still resting his arm on top of me, drifting off himself.

Overhaul for the character ask!

How I feel about this character:

Blorbo of all time. He is sooooo me. On a more serious note, there was so much possible characterization that BnHA dropped into him--so much juicy potential--and it was all wasted. Pair that up with him being an antagonist who did horrible things and it was like a perfect storm to get me way too invested in him lmao. Also, I recently had a pretty unwelcome revelation about myself about how I usually find the major antagonists/villains of a show that unwittingly self-sabotage through social incompetence/bluntness/lack of empathy relatable which does not bode well for my social life hahaha but that's oversharing so I'm just gonna--

All the people I ship "romantically" with this character:

Disclaimer: I actually usually headcanon him as aro, so often the "romantic" shipping I have for him isn't actually romantic but sexual and/or queerplatonic, because I'm taking this as a question for 'who do I ship him with in a way that isn't just conventional friendship or in a familial/family-esque relationship'.

Kurono Hari: My main partner for the guy, and any OT3s I form for Kai are pretty much always going to have Hari as the second member, with the third varying. I have seen and do enjoy outright romantic Chronohaul, but when I write it I'll usually make an effort to make it either explicitly queerplatonic or Definitely A Relationship but not really a romantic relationship, ykno? Usually I like to think that they've been together for a while even before the show starts, in a solid years-long committed relationship that probably started (if not in its current form) when they were teenagers. I really like the idea of two similar people having found each other and finding strength and understanding in each other even as they're so different from everyone else around them, even if they end up reinforcing each other's destructive tendencies. Also, it's T4T. That part's very important.

Dabi: Funny story, I ended up watching BnHA because some of my online friends were huge DabiHaul shippers, so that was the ship I was primed for. And then I got attached to Chisaki and every other named character in the Hassaikai and ended up primarily shipping Chronohaul, and Dabi ended up usually being their third and shipped with both. I imagine that this ship (Chronodabihaul) is purely a sexual one, a fuckbuddy type thing for stress relief. It may or may not develop some stronger commitments/feelings later on, if and when the League and the Hassaikai stop virulently hating each other (and if/when Dabi stops being so obsessed with revenge), but that's not really a given.

Aizawa Shouta: This is definitely not a ship that's on the forefront of my mind, but it still has a soft spot in my void of a heart. Just like Dabi, I can very much see him in an OT3 with Chronohaul, although I feel like Aizawa would be in a much more long-term relationship with them. I can also see he and just Kai having an emotional short-term fling, but that would either cool down into just-friends or Hari would end up with them after a while, making it the OT3. Also, I have an angsty soulmate AU oneshot WIP that focuses on Overzawa, so.

Nemoto Shin: I don't actually really ship this character with Chisaki (I hc Chisaki as romance repulsed aroallo and Nemoto as sex-repulsed alloace), but I have an priest/demon AU in my WIPs that's got some heavy Nemotohaul implications, so I think I'd be remiss not to mention him here.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

I have several, actually:

Lady Nagant, aka Tsutsumi Kaina, of course. I know a lot of people on Tumblr like to ship Sniperhaul, but it just doesn't interest me. Seems kind of shallow, honestly (apologies to any Sniperhaul shippers reading this). I see them better as bickering sibling types after Chisaki heals at least a little bit from solitary confinement. And also as mlm/wlw solidarity.

I really like the idea of Chisaki taking Yaoyorozu Momo under his wing, teaching her chemical formulas for poisons and tips and tricks for combating performance anxiety. (I also really like the idea that they're genetically related...and don't find out until well after they've established their mentor/mentee relationship lmao.)

Nemoto Shin again, since I usually like him and Chisaki as close friends. Chisaki goes to him for questions like "what the fuck am I feeling and how do I make it stop" or "how the hell do emotions work".

Also, weirdly enough, when I'm imagining the sort of AU where he gets thrown in some labyrinth and has to figure out how to survive/get out with a bunch of other characters it's unlikely he'd interact with otherwise, I think Midnight might actually like him. She'd think he's cute. He wouldn't like Midnight back though.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

Do you mean unpopular for the wider fandom, or just among people that like this specific character? Because if it's the first, then all of my opinions for this character are unpopular, but if it's the second, then I'm not sure I have unpopular opinions/headcanons on him so much as opinions/headcanons that aren't widely held and/or thought about. I'm gonna list some that might be considered 'unpopular' among Chisaki/Hassaikai fans, although I'm not actually sure they are:

Pops wasn't a good parent. I imagine him something like the (fanon) Fenton parents from Danny Phantom; affectionate and kind, but only when he a) remembers to pay attention and b) Kai isn't in trouble. Unfortunately, these times are few and far between. Kai ends up as the 'weird kid' a lot during his childhood/teenage years and becomes the automatic scapegoat, and Pops doesn't even question any accusations brought against his kid, which doesn't help the fact that Kai has been conditioned not to speak up for his own innocence by teachers and other authority figures punishing him for 'talking back.' So it ends up with most of Kai's memories being of Pops punishing him for things he never did, being part of The System that hurt him so bad, and with Pops having this concept of Kai as a Bad Kid(TM) that's mostly unearned, and it escalates to the point where Chisaki feels safer with Pops in a coma than with Pops talking and walking around even as he craves Pops' affection.

Objectively speaking, at least from a utilitarian/obligation perspective, Chisaki is morally better than Enji. I'm so sorry for this proxissima, but Kai only hurt one kid that wasn't his actual kid--it was a child that someone else gave to him with vague instructions to 'figure out her Quirk' and he didn't feel like he could refuse, whereas Enji had four children for the purpose of surpassing All Might and traumatized them all with his lack of care for their wellbeing, albeit in different ways. Obviously, Kai had an obligation to not be shitty to a kid, but Enji had extra obligations because those were his actual kids that he had on purpose. Also, Kai grew up in the probably highly toxic and violent yakuza, whereas Enji went into law enforcement and therefore should have more regard for the fact that, at least, child abuse is fucking illegal.

Chisaki legitimately cares about the Expendables/Bullets/Precepts of Death, and considers himself an Expendable. I'm not sure entirely how to explain this one, but I greatly prefer the idea that Chisaki took in many of the Expendables (minus Rappa, who followed him home) because he understood the kind of shit they were going through over what was implied in canon (that he manipulated them into being super loyal to him so that he could throw them away).

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

MORE CHARACTERIZATION! ANY CHARACTERIZATION! Especially characterization that showed actual positive traits! Yes, the remorse he showed for putting Pops in a coma after the prison break was arguably a step in the right direction, but it was also tied up in some really weird ableist/sanist connotations about how "this was his punishment" or something, and Deku (obligatory fucking Deku) still demanded that he feel more remorse about what he did to Eri even though he wasn't mentally all there, and also demanding that people feel certain emotions in general is entitled and shitty. Even though the narration of BnHA clearly makes out Deku to be the ultimate moral authority in the story.

Like--it's just so fucking obvious that Chisaki was made just to be a generic evil villain for Deku to beat up without the audience questioning why he's so blatantly betraying his professed ideal of "save everyone" and for Shigaraki to play off against to make him look better. And it wasn't even done well. This man is clearly mentally ill from like the first time we see him, and solitary confinement only exacerbated it. One thing I would have loved to see in canon, instead of All Of That, was if Deku guessed that Eri was being abused and ended up blatantly wrong, taking away a child from a loving home after she's already had trauma from accidentally Rewinding her father out of existence and her mother treating her as a monster and abandoning her. Hell, you could still have the Quirk-erasing bullets in play--just have Chisaki take and start cloning a red bone marrow sample from Eri so that he has enough blood without harming her more than a single surgery.

Yea, that was definitely way longer than you probably wanted, and it took longer than I wanted, but I have a Lot of thoughts on this guy. I'll answer the other two requests at a later date, because I need to study for and take at least one final today.

Advice On Gaining Notes

Just wanna share a bit of advice to any writers that happen upon this...

Tags are the most important way to get your work out to viewers!

More people will find your fics if you use tags that people are searching for. Take a look at the top fics within the fandom you plan to write for and see what tags they are using and do something similar. 

My suggestion would be to add the pairings (such as idol/character x reader/oc, show/band x reader/oc) as well as the genre (idol/band/character/show genre).

When I look up fics, I very specifically look up these types of tags:

“ateez fluff” , “changbin x oc” , “hxh x reader” , “billy hargrove smut” , etc 

Broad tags like “kpop x reader” , “yandere au” , “anime angst” are a good idea, too, and tags such as “skz reactions” , “kny series” , “kdrama oneshot” allow readers to search for the specific format they want to read.

type in different tags and see what Tumblr recommends as “popular”

Others might be different in what they search, but in general I’ve found that when a fic doesn’t have these types of tags, they get less notes because less people are finding them. 

As a side note, put the most important tags first (within the first 5) and also include alternate spellings / names for the people you’re writing for within the first 30 tags. 

Final notes that might help...

Many people (myself included) skip over fics that are blatantly not meant to be in the tag they’re looking for. 

i.e, please don’t tag BTS in your EXO fic, or Chisaki Kai in your Dabi-centric fic. Tumblr isn’t like AO3 - tag the main lead / relationship, not the other main characters that feature in the fic. 

People search for both Seventeen and SVT so why not use both? Some people look up stage names while others use the idol’s real name. You have plenty of space so test out different tags and see if it helps.

While not necessary, creating a blurb at the top of your fic that includes the summary, word count, genre, pairing, and any warnings will let people know at a glance if it’s a fic they’d be interested in reading. 

Clearly state when a fic contains dark content - it’s kinda fucked up to spring it on people without warning. It isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Please be mindful of others. 

Lastly, please please please use a read more! if your fic is longer than 500 words, or if it contains sensitive and/or explicit content (including triggers!). It’s the courteous thing to do, and might stop you from being blocked as some people will block authors that clog up a tag.

Some people will argue that smut and yandere fics shouldn’t be tagged under the general/broad tags (such as “miranda lawson” , “mcu” , “loona”). It’s up to you if you choose to add them to your fics. 

IMO it’s fine, as people who don’t want to see such fics can use the in-built filter to optimise their online experience. But that also means you have to add tags such as “yandere vaas” , “smut” , “mafia au”. That way the filter will pick the fic up and hide it from those who don’t wish to see it!

I assume these tips work for member x member or character x character stories too! But I don’t read/write those types of fics very often so I’m not 100% sure how best to tag them!

Dabi

🔥 Dabi hadn’t expected this to be a problem, especially not while he was still breathing but here he was watching you giggle at some teenage idiot hanging around the back alleys. 🔥 You don’t even realise that he is watching leant against the wall of the alley as you talk and get closer until he clears his throat. 🔥 “Who’s this?” “Just a friend” “Close for a friend.” “Let’s just go.” 🔥 His eyes never left the kid that you had been talking to even when you stood right in front of him, so you grabbed his hand and pulled him along until he finally turned to look at you. 🔥 “You like them?” “No.” “Don’t lie to me, I hate it when people lie to me.” “Would you hurt them if I told the truth?” “No.” “I like them a little.” 🔥 Dabi had no way to get any information, so he waited until he could catch the kid alone. 🔥 “So what are you hoping to gain from them?” “Excuse me.” “I’m not repeating myself, we both know you heard me.” “Gain? Someone who cares for me.” “Cares for you… I hope you care for them as much as they care for you, if not there won’t be anything left to find.” 🔥 Dabi isn’t one to believe in love, or finding in the life that you had both chosen to live but you were important enough to him that he would let you have what made you happy. 🔥 He hopes that the relationship continues in the best manor and if it does it he would be happy for you, he’d never admit instead replace that with teasing and dismissal. 🔥 However if it ends badly trust me when I say he will fulfil the threat unless you want the honour in which case he’ll clean up after you, make sure neither one of you are caught.

Tomura Shigaraki

✋ Shigaraki cares for you far more than anyone would have thought and he had far too much power at his disposal. ✋ When he walked into the bar to see you sitting at a table with some kid he couldn’t recognise, he knew most of the ‘would be’ villains around here and all the homeless kids that hung around looking for food or work. ✋ “(Y/N)! Come here!” “Yeah?” “Who have you invited into my bar?” “Kurogiri’s bar.” “Don’t get smart.” “They’re just talking to me.” “And if they are a spy?” “Then I’m sure you will tell me soon enough.” ✋ Shigaraki looked at the child that had been sitting with you, he didn’t trust them and he never would, he’d be civil for you, well kind of. ✋ “I’ll kill you if you hurt them.” “Y-yes sir.” ✋ Shigaraki would have someone from the league follow you when you start meeting them outside of the bar, where he could not see you. ✋ God help you if you start lying to him, he’d honestly just kill the love interest out of spite, so don’t lie to him. ✋ If things go well then he’ll leave you as you are but don’t expect him to give you anything more than that, he won’t congratulate you or even acknowledge the relationship really but that has nothing to do with who it is, just that there is anyone at all. ✋ If things don’t go well, you can expect to find the ex-partner on the floor in the bar, begging for their life and they will die, Shigaraki will make sure of it, even if you beg him not to. ✋ He’ll just send the kid home to die, far from your eyes and convince you that the kid moved away.

Kai Chisaki

💉 He knew before you even knew, he had been watching you and the newest member of the Mafia for a while, he could see what they wanted from you. 💉 He found out everything that he needed to know about them before he even thought about entertaining the idea of a relationship. 💉 When you finally tell him about your new friend he didn’t say anything, in fact you were almost convinced that he didn’t hear you, until a couple of days later when he addressed the new information. 💉 “So your new friend… Are you sure that they are here for you?” “What does that mean?” “You are higher than most in this organisation, you think that they want you for you.” “Is that so hard to believe?” “Make me believe it.” 💉 Kai is happy to lose you to this argument because he’s sure that he’s right, he had done his work without you before and he’d do it again (even if he would miss you). 💉 That being said he would not let someone take you from him without a fight, it may be different love but it was love all the same. 💉 “What do you intend to take from them?” “Take? Nothing.” “Do not lie to me!” “What could I take from them? They have nothing!” “They have whatever they want, I make sure of that. They want you so for now that is what they get.” 💉 From there on there was no arguments about the relationship however you always had a guard and you cleaned yourself thoroughly before interacting with him again. 💉 If the relationship going right, they would likely get more from him and when he’s sure that he can trust them they would earn their place next to you. 💉 If it went terribly, the Mafia had a way of dealing with scum, Kai would give you the choice of participation but you would be there to see it, you will remember what deceit looks like so you never fall for it again.

Yes I am a minor myself, but I absolutely refuse to write smut about minors. I don't care about age-ups. It would probably depend on who it is whether I write it or not.

Also, I have a few personal guidelines/self-imposed rules I tend to follow when writing oneshots.

I personally dislike when a "oneshot" is spanned across multiple parts or has multiple parts even after the conclusion. It's not exactly a oneshot at that point, as least by my personal view. So I don't usually write multiple parts; personal or requested works. On the rare occasion I might write a part 2, but I will NEVER write a part 3.

I also try to stick to a certain word count.

Personal works; stuff I come up with to write: I don't really limit myself with these. It's a personal work that I decided to post, I'd rather not limit myself on anything I'm writing for myself.

Requested works; stuff that gets submitted to me to write: I try to keep these around 500-3,000 words. That's the amount I'm willing to write for free. Want a work that's longer? You can either find a different writer to ask, or pay me I guess.

Reading the file in front of him, the visage of a green-haired middle school student, and felt like all his prayers had been answered.

A supposed quirkless nobody with what seemed like one friend, a school that was trying desperately to get rid of him, and no one to care for him, no one that would be able to stop him in time. Even if Kai knew the truth of All for One and who and what that creature was, it was easy to see that the boy was not the best protected, nor the most loved. He was the perfect subject.
