befitting of his character, alhaitham could become quite difficult to deal with when it came to arguments that would occur just as much as in any other relationship.

it was bound to happen and to him, it was mind numbing.

seldomly he would actively engage in an argument, which wasn't always the best route to take because it was important for both parties in a relationship to be open about their corresponding feelings and emotions.

deep trust was what had defined your relationship, since it was one, if not the most important factor. He was a great listener and once the situation had been properly calmed down alhaitham would appear to go through great lengths to make whatever seemed to had happened, right again.

however, he was quite uncomfortable whenever he witnessed you cry, unmistakably it wasn't in a belittling kind of way, rather did it too, push him into a soul destroying current, masticating him from the inside out.

it was a learning process, a wholly overtaxing one at that, but he did not seek perfection of you and neither did you.

I don’t know if we’ll ever get into it, because the show at this point largely plays it off as a joke, but I do wonder if Blitz’s very misogynist language and his association with feelings as being “gay”or for “pussies” will be explored more as part of this. It’s really hard to tell at this point if it’s an issue to be examined in the narrative’s eyes or just Brandon’s particular brand of humor coming into play with no deeper character considerations beyond the superficial “he uses insults and abrasive language to keep people at arms length”.

I mentioned it in one of my episode breakdowns but Blitz’s interactions with women are very interesting. Whore. Slut. Titty Haver. He is exceedingly more aggressive with women he meets than he is with men. Yet Blitz seems to have very much loved, and from the little we’ve seen, had a good relationship with his mother. He seems to get along well with Millie, he takes good care of Loona. Barbie is the only character he hurt he actively pursues to reconcile with. Yet all his interactions with other women he is a lot more hostile and aggressive than in his interactions with other men and that’s present from Murder Family on.

Most of his disguises are him dressing in drag though? If he has to put a costume on he generally defaults to female presenting. He seems to enjoy it as well, based on expressions and animated body language he is comfortable and having a good time. Again, hard to tell if it’s just a bit, but Blitz has been shown as pretty gender non conforming many times for a guy who mostly uses gendered insults. Some of it could be as simple as hiding horns and tail being made slightly easier by a wig and a dress, it could be just the way the writer’s humor trends but it could be a lot more.

Especially when paired with his clear association with feelings = gay. A crux of his post Full Moon communication attempts with Stolas seem to be “Haha, silly feelings, that’s gay, let’s…have gay sex about it again?”. Feelings are for pussies. What you said is gayer than love ballads. Etc. etc. The dude has no issue filling a house party with his conquests from across the gender spectrum though.

It just reads as coming from somewhere else. Cash specifically. Blitz himself seems to default to queerness. He doesn’t seem to care about it from the perspective of his own sexual relationships or gender expression but at the same time he is very misogynistic and associates things that make him feel weak or could be perceived as weak with gayness or women.

We have some scenes from the trailer that could potentially explore his more. His scene with his mom possibly coming out about his feelings for Fizz versus Cash refusing to let him see him at the hospital. Those may just be more “your romantic reveal led to a horrible tragedy” but it could also hopefully give some insight into why he handles the Full Moon fight like a 90’s middle schooler declaring anything that makes him feel squishy inside with a “That’s gay.”

So I'm kinda sitting here considering a 4 part fic where each chapter revolves around a specific Hatake and their inevitable death, w maybe a bonus chapter at the end being about Sakumo

"Death of the Wolves," the unfortunate end of the Hatake's, told in 4 parts

The Hatake's helped set the Konoha standard rule of "a team can only be made up of so many % of one clan" (with special exceptions) after a large chunk of them got sent on a mission together bc of their specializations and all wound up dead, wiping out a solid 90% of the clan in one night.

Actually, expanding on that bc the tragedy is so good -> I already established that in my time line, the Hatake head, Haruka (Sakumo's mother, Tobirama and Hashirama's aunt) died under a week after Tobirama's death, and she would have lead that failed mission. Does that mean one of Hiruzen's first acts as war time Hokage resulted in the accidental slaughter of his beloved dead Sensei's mother's clan? That's amazing actually, so much drama there. I bet him Danzo and Kagami argued like crazy after that monumental fuck up, probably went on to define how he feels ab being Hokage / what that entails. Fun times!

Anyways, I'd also be very interested in exploring early konoha politics n stuff. Especially from the multiple views of not the people in charge of making the village but the ones who are living in it. The view from the ground up, instead of looking down from the tower. The younger generations being brought to this new village, going from their isolated clan lands to suddenly being surrounded by others their age from different clans, possible for the first time ever depending on their age and their clans level of secrecy.

Also, I really wanna poke at the outsider pov of Madara and other founders— but mostly Madara bc I find his downfall very fun to think about, especially from the POV of someone not in his clan.

I'm so in love w the take of the Hatake's being fond of Madara bc "he'd make a very good Hatake." Something about the two tropes of the Uchiha being a clan that loves love and the Hatake being a clan w similar values when it comes to family and loyalty just meshes so well.

Comedy moment where Haruka is weirdly insistent on Madara potentially marrying into the clan, not even for the politics or anything but specifically bc she NEEDS a cute squishy Hatake baby with his massive hair. She NEEDS IT, MADARA.

Anyways also just the early konoha inter clan drama but like. From the eyes of the clan kids. The Uchiha kids seem to be having some sort of terf war with the Senju— but it was interrupted by the Hyuuga, and now the Senju and Uchiha kids are somehow banding together against the Hyuuga? But oh no now the Nara kids are teaming up w the Hyuuga, and the Hatake kid (singular bc there's literally only like 1) seems to have an actual blood feud going on with the Hyuuga clan heir— but the older Hatake teenagers are fond of the Hyuuga's baby clan heir so it's just a mess. All the clan drama but with none of the tragedy bc everyone involved is a child.

Meanwhile the older clan members are somehow bonding over their children's fights bc they're all struggling to pull them away, or going "what the fuck do you mean you teamed up with the SENJU??" Then sharing a disbelieving Look(tm) w the opposing Senju's parents before realizing what they just did and having a crisis of faith ab it

Meanwhile the teenagers are having a wonderful time, especially those from smaller more isolated clans like the Hatake. There's so much romantic drama, there's probably a whole shinobi soap opera happening in that direction. Hormonal shinobi teenagers from opposing clans just got dropped into the same dating pool it's gonna be a MESSSS.

Even funnier if you take crumbs from my senju weed empire au and like. Some of these clans regularly smoke n stuff. Meanwhile other clans have never touched a psychedelic in their life. I was recently gushing at a friend about bg3 but didn't want to spoil her in the romance and the characters backstory.

So, I started comparing everybody with Dragon Age companions to give her an idea on everybody's personality.

Now I need to complete this list just for the sake of it.

Astarion: Zevran, Isabela, Morrigan

I know a lot of people compare Astarion and Fenris but honestly, I personally don't see them being similar enough( yes even with the slavery and white hair) they are just two different flavors especially in personality. They are similar in broad strokes but in the details not really.

Now with Zevran and Isabela, I can see. These two very sexual characters both use their sexualities and their daggers to manipulate those around them.

They both cope with their trauma with putting a mask of light heartedness and sexual freedom. The main difference of between Zevran and Isabela to Astarion is that Astarion is more upfront with his trauma.

The Morrigan aspect is his pragmatism. Astarion's killed or killed is similar to Morrigan. They both hate helping people as they don't see anything beneficial it. They are so used to the absence of kindness that any they see from the protag is seen as naivety or even fakeness because if there truly kindness in the world why did they never experienced themselves.

Gale: Anders, Merril, Solas

So the common trait I established from these characters that I see in Gale is them being blinded by their goals. These 3 all kind and mean well but they think their way is the only way to fix things. All these three are self serving to their selfish desires to the point it overwrites any kindness they have. They want to do something drastic to help others. Solas with elves, Merril her missing friends and Anders with mages but in the price of themselves.

Personality wise,Merril is also similar to Gale with her akwardness and naivety. Gale has a tendency to do akward moments in his enthusiasm and lackk experience in socializing. While the Solas is love information and informing others, he's very welcoming in sharing experiences.

Now, Anders. Specifically Anders dao and da2 Act 1-2 because Gale would never justify the means justifies the end mentality in act3 of da2. The basics commonalities: cat dad, mage, time bomb but the most damning similarity is that both Gale and Anders thought that they know better even though they were already warned. Gale with the piece of weave and Anders with Justice. They both essentially shot themselves in the foot by ignoring the warning signs.

(I'm not including Merril in the shooting of foot because her ritual was tampered she knew her risks and had actually prepared a kill switch just in case)

Wyll: Cassandra, Merril, Varric

The main thing I focused on this trio is responsibility. All these 3 has certain responsibility or expectations set upon them with a main conflict of whether they should just follow expectations or do their own will even at the price of losing support or their people

Wyll has heavy expectations on him and he himself always tries to put the well being of others before him even at the price of his soul.

Now personality-wise, Cassandra is an old romantic. Just like Wyll they both enjoy poetry and wooing. They both live for the romance even though they try hard to focus on only their duty they cant hide their soft squishy hearts.

Merril is kind and is always torn with her abandoning her duty to do what she thinks is needed to be done. She loves her people so much she will bear being seen as a monster to try to help them. *cough* wyll is the same*cough

Varric is charming as fuck but he also is kindaa running away from his responsibility until finally he was forced to take a stand. He accidentally helped start aspects of the mess but he will be damned if he doesnt try to help.

And Ashura said that I couldn't control what someone else felt about me, but also that if I didn't try, I'd never know, and settling, like Eshe and Kenli, was a far cry from being in love with your potential life partner.

Dad's definitely got some romantic in him though, cause he told me a little about how he courted Sabine, and it was adorable. I keep wondering...

Getting ahead of myself.

So I took the money from the house fun, and bought some chocolates from Zeki... and then proceeded to avoid town and do everything but give them to Jel.

In my defense, I panicked.

But it meant I had to go ask Jel if he had any spare buttons, since I... don't. (Maybe I should get a sewing kit? I almost ripped my leggings twice while chasing sernuk...) And he wanted to know if there was any specific types. When I shrugged at him, well, you'd think I'd called down some sort of storm.

When I told him the buttons were for Hekla, he stopped ranting about fabric types vs. button types, and then handed me a couple of blue plastic ones. I don't think he wants to know either. I did tell him I'd come sit through a lesson on buttons and fabrics later though. Honestly, it sounds interesting! I don't think I'll ever be a seamstress the way he's a tailor, but knowing basic repairs can't hurt, can it?

He saw me holding the kamera, and when I explained what it was, he said we should take a picture together. This makes me look so short... but then again, could just be that he's tall?

I did some more work on building furniture and arranging my house. I think I'm getting better at this! I made myself some shelving for my loose dishes, a couple cabinets for some spare things, moved the planter Jel gave me into my room, picked up some candles...

18. What embarrasses him? Mentions of his love life! Call him a coward! Call him a traitor! He might feel ashamed yes, but if you say he's good in bed he will literally die. 27. What makes him feel dread? Well there's the fear of death of himself and loved ones, but especially death at the hands of another person. Specifically dueling. Like his father and brother were both killed in a duel and that left a deep scar on my boy :( I like to imagine him being there when his brother, John Talbot, was killed in a duel against Henry Fitzroy, 1st Duke of Grafton, and that after killing his brother, Grafton threatened Shrewsbury. Then Berry ran away and cried about it for a week straight and he had no one to comfort him (thanks to his wish to be alone most of the time) so owwwww yeah he dreads duels. (He's still fine with being alone though.) Another thing that makes him feel dread is incompetence. While he isn't big on romantic love and all that he doesn't want Adelhida to run off with another man, so when Charles Mohun 4th Baron, a well known philanderer who dueled multiple people, tries to hit on her, Berry feels extremely bad about himself and wonders if Hida will leave him for Baron Mohun because he's not good enough for her.(wiki suggests there was maybe an actual affair between Hida and Mohun but for Berry's sake it's not canon to me. Hida stays loyal!) His mother also referred to his father as incompetent and foolish and compares him to Berry so that makes Berry feel awful. This also has to do with the government!! Berry has constant health issues so he cannot work for M&W for long periods of time and he constantly thinks they don't find him capable despite how many times they have reassured him of how important he is to them. He also hates it when someone lies about him. Especially if that lie can get him into SERIOUS trouble like the Fenwick accusations! (there is so much lore to expand on my headcanons of Fenwick and him but thats for another post...)

Wrecker absolutely loves physical touch. It's one of his biggest love languages (along with making/sharing food). Jedah is very determined in creating a perfect utopia - he has no time to even play with the thought of being involved with someone romantically unless it specifically benefited him and his cause. Not to mention, how risky it is, especially if his boyfriend is human. He refuses to risk the possible future of Makai. However, that doesn’t mean he can’t fool around for a bit.  

The relationship most likely started off with a power imbalance (and let’s be honest, still is) if you are human. He seemingly knows every little bit about you already, no need to look within your own belongings, and can sense when you’re tense or fearful, feeding off of the feeling. He mostly keeps you around  for his own enjoyment (and perhaps company but he’ll never admit that out loud.) He’s not entirely a prick though and will sometimes ask about your opinions on certain topics, trying to build a bond with you.

If you aren’t human, however, then I imagine the relationship starts off a bit differently. Perhaps the two of you have similar goals and work together in a partnership - a business partnership. He treats you with more respect but also is more private I fear - most likely to protect himself if you were foolish to betray him and break the alliance.

Jedah denied his true feelings to himself and you, almost succeeding in convincing you that all he cared about was Makai - until you got hurt.  Of course, your connection with the High noble was going to end up with you injured sooner or later - how badly depends on if you’re human or not. Your injuries could be as small as a couple of bruises, perhaps some bleeding or being god damn hospitalize nearly grazing upon death’s door. Either way, Jedah surprised you, waiting by your side for you to heal. During the waiting period, both of you realize that Jedah has grown deeply in love with you.

After that instantiate, if you are more observant, will notice small signs that he grew fond of you. Being a bit more protective over you (usually not falling too far behind you during your outings) and more handsy with you. He had grown the habit when your relaxing  to check your pulse and mentally checking you over (counting your ribs, and your vertebrae, taking note of any scarring upon your body.)

If you aren’t terribly observant (or outright ignore his subtle signs,) he starts to become more open about his feelings, whether he means to do so or not, and *gasp* actually acts like a boyfriend!  Being more affectionate, with both his actions and his words (Within the privacy of his own home of course), keeping you company and listening to your rambles, gifting you outfits. I’m starting to get Paz’s appearance down; Winnet’s still a little bit of a work in progress but I know more or less what I’m aiming for, at least. might end up darkening her hair colour... idk.

my starting point with these two was that I wanted to make a pair of super-squishy soft romantic characters - and specifically, I thought it'd be fun to design a couple with two very different aesthetics. annnd that eventually led me to Paz the (dorky) punk and Winnet the cottagecore/sort of mori girl-ish wheelchair user.

Paz is of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, and pretty heavily into the punk/diy scene, as well as being really dedicated as an activist. he spends a lot of time volunteering, going to protests/demonstrations, or going to shows. he's also super protective of his trans little sister, and ever since she came out, he's made a point of learning a lot more about trans issues in particular. (he also makes sure to have a prominent pronouns patch on every one of his vests and jackets!) he's a severe hemophiliac, and as a result doesn't have any piercings (or tattoos), but he enjoys wearing other jewellery like the ear cuff you see above.

Winnet is very sweet and feminine in her style, and values her independence and a simple, happy lifestyle. she can walk, but mostly sticks with her wheelchair, as a variety of health problems make her unsteady on her feet and also inclined to fainting spells. she works remotely as a transcriber, and is close with Alfio, her elderly Italian neighbour (who also owns the laundromat downstairs from their apartments). he calls her paperotta, a term of endearment something like 'little duck' <3 she's an avid crocheter in her free time, and a slightly less avid knitter. she also has a service dog, but I haven't decided on any further details on that front haha

they're both in their early twenties, and absolutely, ass-over-teakettle in love with each other. both are easily flustered, though probably Paz moreso; they get embarrassed by one another pretty often. their fashion senses converge at 'plaid.' they're both really interested in learning more about one another's hobbies and interests and overall worlds - he loves learning about all her houseplants, and wearing things she crochets or knits for him, whether they go with his look or not. by the same token she starts learning to be more politically active with him (and he's very good at helping her make sure that her accessibility needs are taken care of at, say, protests, or other events), and absolutely adores the battle vest he makes for her, and eventually even starts going to shows with him. their music tastes are as different as their fashion choices, but they learn to love one another's favourites :)

confession - how'd the confession happen, and looking back on it, what are your (and f/o's) thoughts abt how you both were back then?

Roman - sorry i am on a Roman kick i gotta answer his first omg 😭 I need to plan and think of actual planned out confessions for my Scream boys.. but I imagine Roman confessed either shortly before ghostface reveal or after.. the drama of it all.. like love confession?? them THEN CONFESSION THAT HES GHOSTFACE?? HELLO??? Maybe I’ll plan it out more but hm..

Cotton - CONFESSION SHORTLY AFTER SCREAM 2 EVENTS 1000%. Cotton would give me time to let me heal after what happened, him being biggest comfort next to Randy.. so once I’m ready to let go of what happened with Mickey, he ends up confessing :)

Roman - Roman is a fashion disaster 100% like he wears an oversized Hawaiian shirt and only wears button ups *looks at him with love* SO HMM ILL SHOW PICS BUT MAYBE CASUAL LOOKS FOR A DATE? (I cannot be casual sorry Romy)

Roman - THIS GUY. This freaking dork *pokes him like slime* I JUST LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I love when he has his glasses on and his eyes get big by 80% I love how dramatic he is too AND I GET IT WAS FOR THE BIT but I love how he wanted to make a romance movie.. a secret romantic BBWAWAAAAGGHHGG BURSTSINTO TEARS I will treat him with love and give him the love and care he deserves :( he needs it after sm years of being alone

Cotton - AND YOU. *stares at him* this poor guy has been through so much and it’s the way he still treats people kindly <3 even in canon saying he’s a people person (after saying some people keep their distance from him :( ).. AND HIS SILLY CHUCKLES WHEN HES NERVOUS OR HAPPY. And the way he literally looks so squishy when he smiles.. kisses him softly.. side tangent he’s probably the scream character I’ve been attached to for the longest time.. LIKE IDK WHEN SPECIFICALLY BUT I think it was 2018-2019.. REGARDLESS HES JUST ALWAYS BEEN MY SILLY BEAR :,) I love him so much..
