Rivals part 2 (NSFW)
Pairing: Rio Vidal x Reader
Summary: After getting fucked in a supply closet you can't get Rio out of your head so when you discover she's staying at the same hotel as you an Agatha you know it's impossible to try and ignore her.
-OR-
You upgrade from a stoage closet to a meeting room
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, smut, top Rio, fingering (R recv), kinda semi-public sex, orgasm denial
Words: 3k
A/N: One is a centuries-old witch and the other's age is just yes in canon so it makes just as much sense that I've put them as the same age in this AU 😂😂
AO3 | Part 1 | Masterlist
Tumblr media
You step into the hotel lobby, the cool air of the evening clinging to your skin as you adjust the collar of your coat. Tonight, you’re checking both yourself and Agatha in—just another part of the job you’ve come to accept, the silent, invisible support that keeps her world in motion. Agatha’s already at the bar, as usual, casting an air of aloofness and superiority as she takes her seat, eyes scanning the crowd with a disinterested air. You can almost feel the weight of her gaze, even from here.
The receptionist is an older man with an unremarkable face, his fingers tapping the keys on his computer in slow, deliberate movements. You hand over your ID with the same practiced, neutral expression you’ve worn countless times as he enters your information into the system. The sound of the keys clicks like a metronome, each tap reminding you of the odd stillness before everything changes.
Your gaze flickers to the lobby, noticing the soft hum of the busy space, the flow of people moving in and out of the hotel, and the quiet buzz of an upcoming event. And then, like a sudden jolt, you catch a glimpse of her.
Rio.
She stands in front of the elevator, looking as effortlessly stunning as ever, dressed in a navy suit that hugs her frame just right. The moment your eyes meet, she grins—a slow, knowing curve of her lips that sends a sharp pulse through your chest. She doesn’t even need to speak to make the connection clear. And then, just as the doors begin to close, she winks at you.
Crap . She must be staying here too.
A wave of heat sweeps over you, flushing your skin. Your mind drifts back to the storage closet, to the feel of her hands and the intensity of her touch. You swallow hard, trying to push the thoughts aside, but the memory lingers, tantalising. The butterflies in your stomach are different now, sharper—less from nerves, more from a dark, hungry anticipation.
You catch yourself before you get too lost in the memory, forcing your focus back to the present, back to the receptionist. He’s handing you the keys—two of them. One for you, one for Agatha’s room. You mumble your thanks, feeling the weight of the cards in your hand, and force yourself to walk toward the bar where Agatha is seated.
A little while later, you’re in Agatha’s suite preparing her materials for tomorrow as she sits at the table, papers spread out in front of her, her sharp pen gliding across them with practiced precision. Her presence is cold, controlled—exactly how she likes it.
You’ve been through this routine countless times: taking care of the small tasks, getting everything in order, making sure she’s ready for whatever’s coming next. It’s the usual drill, only tonight it feels heavier somehow. Maybe it’s because of Rio. The thought of her, so close, almost makes your skin itch.
“Is everything ready?” Agatha’s voice cuts through the silence, her tone low and sharp.
“Yeah,” you reply, setting the keys on the desk in front of her. “I—uh, I think I saw Rio in the hotel. She must be staying here too.”
At that, Agatha’s gaze snaps to yours. Her eyes narrow, her lip curling in distaste. “Of all the places she could’ve chosen..." Her voice is low, but the venom behind it is unmistakable. You know better than to push her when she’s like this, but you’re curious about why Rio makes Agatha so... angry.
You take a breath, trying to sound casual. “You two... you’ve had history, right? Why do you hate her so much?”
For a moment, Agatha doesn’t speak. Her gaze shifts somewhere distant, her mind clearly working through something you can’t see. Then, with a sharp exhale, she leans back in her chair, her voice low, almost bitter.
“Rio Vidal…” Agatha’s tone is heavy with disdain. “We were inseparable back in school. Best friends. But it was always a competition—always. Top of the class, Model UN, class president races. We were always neck and neck. She was brilliant, you know. Almost annoyingly so. I liked it at first. But the closer we got, the more I realised we weren’t just competing for grades. We were competing for each other's attention.”
She leans forward now, eyes burning with the intensity of the memory. “We started dating when we were seniors in high school. I thought it would be perfect. Both of us at the top, together. But the moment we graduated, everything fell apart. She got the job I wanted. The one that had my name written all over it. I even tried to dig up dirt on her during the hiring process—anything to tilt the scales. But she came out spotless, like she always does.” Agatha’s hands tighten around her pen, her knuckles white. “She didn’t even want it, not really. She just applied for the experience. But she got it. And I…”
She stops, biting down on her lip, and when she speaks again, it’s through gritted teeth. “She sabotaged me; I don’t know how but she did. So, I did what anyone would do in that situation. I pushed her away. And we both took turns throwing everything away, hurting each other over and over again. It was a mess. We were constantly fighting; but god, the hate sex was phenomenal.”
A long breath. “Then, after that year, we both went our separate ways. Until the world of politics brought us back together. I will never forgive her. She’s always there. Just waiting for me to fall. And if I have to break a few rules to make sure she’s the one who stumbles, so be it. It’s survival.”
You watch her, her eyes burning with the intensity of old wounds. There’s no mistaking it: Agatha Harkness and Rio Vidal share a history that’s anything but simple.
“So,” Agatha finishes with a dry laugh, her voice colder than ice, “I’m not about to let her win. Ever.”
You can feel the weight of her words settle in the room, thick and heavy. And for a moment, you almost feel sorry for her. Almost.
But you know better than to feel sympathy. You’ve seen firsthand what happens when something gets in the way of what Agatha wants.
And getting fucked by your boss’ long-term rival and ex-girlfriend has definitely put you in the way.
Later that night, the soft hum of the air conditioner is the only sound in your room as you scroll aimlessly through your phone, trying to unwind after the day’s whirlwind. The room is quiet, a stark contrast to the chaotic thoughts swirling in your head. Agatha’s background with Rio has you reeling, the weight of their shared history settling heavily in your mind.
A sharp knock at the door pulls you from your thoughts. You groan, already anticipating the next round of demands. It’s late, but Agatha isn’t one for respecting boundaries, especially when she thinks something “needs” to be done.
“Coming,” you mutter, dragging yourself to the door. You yank it open, ready to fire off some excuse about needing sleep—but the words catch in your throat when you see who’s standing there.
Rio.
She leans casually against the doorframe, her devilish grin firmly in place. Her hair falls perfectly around her face, and the faint smell of her perfume wafts toward you, heady and intoxicating. She’s dressed down now—black jeans and a fitted shirt that still manage to look like they belong in a magazine spread.
“Miss me?” she asks, her voice low, playful.
Your pulse quickens, and your grip tightens on the door handle. “What are you doing here?”
“Relax,” she says, holding up her hands in mock surrender. “I just thought you might like a drink. You know, since we’re practically neighbours." She gestures down the hall. “I’m just a few doors down. Figured it’d be rude not to say hi.”
Your heart skips a beat. Agatha would absolutely lose it if she knew Rio was staying so close. The thought alone is enough to make you hesitate. “I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”
Rio tilts her head, her smirk widening. “Come on, don’t be shy. It’s just a drink. I promise to behave.” The way her eyes linger on yours suggests otherwise, but before you can overthink it, you find yourself nodding.
“Fine,” you say, stepping into the hallway. “But just one drink.”
Her room is nearly identical to yours—same generic hotel furniture, same muted colour scheme. Yet somehow, it feels different. Maybe it’s the faint scent of her perfume lingering in the air or the way she moves through the space, effortlessly commanding it.
“Make yourself comfortable,” she says, gesturing to the small seating area by the window. She picks up the room service menu, scanning it quickly before glancing at you. “What’s your poison?”
You hesitate, torn between wanting to play it safe and giving in to the pull of her presence. “Surprise me.”
Rio raises an eyebrow, clearly pleased with your answer. She picks up the phone and orders a bottle of wine and a few small plates—cheese, fruit, nothing too heavy. As she hangs up, she turns back to you, her expression casual but her eyes sharp.
“So,” she says, sitting across from you, “how’s life working for Agatha Harkness? She still a miserable old witch?.”
You laugh, a dry, nervous sound. “That’s one way to put it.”
She studies you for a moment, her smile softening. “Must be exhausting, though. Always running around, making sure everything’s perfect for her.”
You shrug, trying to downplay it. “It’s a job.”
“Need me to treat you right again?” She hums, leaning back in her chair.
Before you can respond, there’s a knock at the door. Rio gets up to answer it, returning with the wine and food. She pours two glasses, handing one to you before settling back into her seat. The wine is rich and smooth, warming you from the inside out.
The conversation flows easily, the tension between you both ebbing and flowing like a tide. You talk about everything and nothing—her travels, your work, the absurdities of life in politics. But every now and then, her hand brushes against yours, her eyes lingering just a moment too long.
By the time you finish your second glass, the room feels warmer, and the air is charged with something electric. You know you should leave; staying here could lead to more trouble if Agatha ever finds out. But when Rio leans forward, her voice dropping to a whisper, you forget all the reasons you shouldn’t be here.
“Can I tell you something?” She asks, her breath warm against your skin.
You nod, your voice caught in your throat.
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” she admits, her lips curving into a sly smile.
Your heart pounds in your chest, and before you can second-guess yourself, she closes the distance between you. Her lips are soft but insistent, her hands sliding up your arms as she pulls you closer. The kiss is a slow burn at first, but it quickly intensifies, her hunger igniting something deep within you.
She stands, pulling you with her toward the bed. Her hands move with practiced ease, unbuttoning your shirt and sliding it off your shoulders. You reciprocate, your fingers fumbling slightly as you work to undress her, the heat of her skin beneath your fingertips making it hard to think straight.
You let yourself get lost in her for a while—the press of her lips, the warmth of her hands, the way her body moves against yours. But as her hand trails lower, sliding beneath the waistband of your underwear, a flash of Agatha’s searing glare cuts through your haze of desire.
“Wait,” you blurt out, your hand catching hers before she can go any further.
Rio pauses, her eyes narrowing slightly. “What’s wrong?”
You swallow hard, your heart pounding for an entirely different reason now. You gently extricate yourself from her hold, slipping off the bed and gathering your clothes. Rio watches you, her expression unreadable.
“I’m sorry,” you say quietly, avoiding her gaze.
She doesn’t stop you; she only tilts her head as you open the door and practically sprint out of the room.
When you finally make it back to your room, the tension in your chest eases slightly, but your mind is still racing. You don’t know where this path will lead, but one thing is clear: you’re already in way too deep.
The morning dawns bright and early, but you’re already awake—the events of the night before playing on a loop in your mind. Every time you close your eyes, you feel Rio’s lips on yours, her hands on your skin. It’s thrilling, and yet you can’t shake the unease settling in your chest.
You push the thoughts aside as you straighten your outfit in the mirror, steeling yourself for the day ahead. Agatha’s schedule is packed, and you don’t have time to let personal distractions cloud your mind.
By the time you join Agatha in the conference room, she’s already mid-rant about the inefficiency of the staff. You nod along, jotting down notes, doing your best to stay focused. But then, out of the corner of your eye, you spot Rio.
She’s standing across the room, deep in conversation with a group of attendees. Her presence is magnetic, and it feels impossible not to look. She catches your gaze and smirks, her eyes glinting with mischief.
You quickly turn back to your notepad, heat rising to your cheeks.
The day continues in a blur of meetings and logistical tasks, but Rio is everywhere—at the coffee station, in the hallway, even lingering near the stage. Every time your paths cross, she gives you that same knowing smirk, and it’s starting to feel less like coincidence and more like intention.
You try to push Rio from your mind, but it’s impossible. Every time you see her, and your heart races. Agatha would never forgive you if she found out, but there’s a part of you that can’t stop wanting Rio. You’re already tangled in her web, and you don’t know how to escape.
By the time lunch rolls around, you’re jittery with nerves and something else you don’t want to name. You excuse yourself, slipping out of the crowded room to catch your breath.
But as soon as you step into the quiet hallway, Rio is there.
“Funny seeing you here,” she says, her voice teasing.
You narrow your eyes at her, crossing your arms. “You’re following me.”
She grins, unapologetic. “Maybe. Or maybe it’s fate.”
You roll your eyes, but the small smile tugging at your lips betrays you.
“Come on,” she says, leaning in closer. “Let’s find somewhere a little more private.”
Before you can protest, she’s taking your hand and pulling you down the hallway. You glance around nervously, hoping no one sees you as she leads you into an empty meeting room.
The door clicks shut behind you, and the air between you shifts instantly. Rio steps closer, her hands finding your waist as she presses you against the wall.
“I’ve been thinking about last night,” she murmurs, her lips brushing against your ear. “About how good you felt.”
Your breath catches and before you can respond, her mouth is on yours. The kiss is hungry, desperate, and it sets your skin alight.
Her hands roam over your body, tugging at your clothes as she deepens the kiss. You melt into her, your own hands tangling in her hair as a moan escapes your lips.
Her hand dips and she cups your heat through your underwear making you gasp, your hips instinctively rolling against her palm. The arousal from last night springs back to the forefront, hitting you like a wave, and it doesn’t take long before you’re keening into her touch, your body responding to her every movement.
“Fuck, you’re so needy for me,” Rio whispers against your neck, her fingers slipping beneath the fabric to find you slick and wanting.
She teases you at first, circling in maddeningly slow strokes. Your knees go weak, and you clutch at her shoulders for support as a soft whimper escapes your lips.
“Do you want me to stop?” She murmurs, her tone dripping with mock innocence.
You shake your head frantically, unable to form words. She chuckles, pressing a kiss to your collarbone before thrusting her fingers inside you.
Your moan is loud and unrestrained, echoing in the empty room. Her movements are confident and precise, driving you closer and closer to the edge with every thrust and curl of her fingers.
The tension coils tighter in your stomach, your body arching into her as you chase that blinding release. But just as you’re about to tip over, the door bursts open.
“What the hell is going on here?”
Your stomach drops as Agatha storms into the room, her face a mask of fury.
“Get your hands off her!” she snaps, striding over and grabbing you by the ear. You yelp in surprise as she pulls you away from Rio, who just withdraws her hand and leans against the wall, utterly unbothered.
“Ms Harkness, I—” you start, but she cuts you off with a glare that could freeze fire.
“I don’t want to hear it,” she says sharply. She turns her attention to Rio, her voice dripping with venom. “You just can’t help yourself, can you? Always sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”
Rio shrugs, her smirk widening. “What can I say? Old habits die hard.”
You glance back at her, your face burning with embarrassment and frustration. She meets your gaze, her eyes glinting with amusement as she slowly lifts her fingers to her mouth. She licks them clean, her tongue curling around them provocatively, and your breath catches.
Agatha doesn’t miss the exchange. “We’re leaving. Now.” Agatha’s fingers tighten around your wrist as she pulls you into the hallway. She’s angry, but there’s something more beneath that rage. She doesn’t want to lose you.
You try to pull away from Agatha's grip, your heart pounding in your chest, but the heat of the kiss is still fresh in your mind. Guilt claws at you, but there's something else, something dangerous, urging you to give in to the chaos.

idk how I feel about this, I had all the ideas and then I lost them all trying to tie up the ending 😭

i wonder - edward cullen x reader
Tumblr media
<<prev >>next
As you tossed and turned you thought you were going crazy.
It was normal to think of someone, but you’ve never experienced someone taking up your entire mind.
You hadn’t touched your keyboard. You only stared at it. You haven’t played since your fingers knew what the Cullen’s grand piano had felt like. You look down at your fingers before closing them into fists. You wonder how much things had changed.
Walking outside, bundled up, you slightly jump from the sight of Edward, once again leaning against his car.
Waiting for you.
“Oh! Hello.” your parent greets beside you.
“Hello. Do you mind if I take Y/N to school today?” he asks politely. You watch the scene unfold without saying anything.
“I don’t mind.” they reply as they look at you, look at him.
“Are you ready?” Edward takes his eye contact and puts it in your direction. You just nod.
Your parent tells you they will see you later before adding, “Young man you shouldn’t stand outside in the cold like that. You will get sick.”
“I have a very strong immune system.” he says with a grin and your parent does nothing but shake their head and mutter, “You kids.”
Edward opened and closed your passenger door for you.
You silently just hold your hands to the hot air that flowed out of the vents. He didn’t say anything either.
You slowly would take looks from the corner of your eye before watching the snowy road in front of you.
No words were said, but he still walked you to your locker to put your coat away.
You tried very hard to focus. You looked down on your eraser covered quiz that the teacher had issued. You sigh to yourself as you brushed the eraser crumbs away.
Lab day.
You looked next to you, your lab partner was absent.
“Y/N?”
You look up to your teacher after you had collected the necessary materials for the day’s lab.
“Yes?”
“Your partner isn’t here. Do you want to work by yourself or do you want to join a group? It’s up to you.”
“Um…” you say and slowly take in your options. Other partners started to already get to work, the small chatter swirled in the science environment.
“By myself.” you say.
“Okay.” they reply with a soft touch to your shoulder and walk to another group, checking up on what they’re doing.
You write your name on the worksheet.
“Can we work together?” you hear and you immediately look up.
Edward’s eyes weren’t shy as he peered down at you.
“S-sure.” you say. You watch his body move to sit in the spot your partner usually sits in.
He then takes control, doing most of the work as he lowly tells you the answers.
“I could’ve helped. I’m not entirely useless.” you whispered as the teacher told a group to stop goofing off.
A small chuckle comes out and he says, “I know. I just want to get done faster.”
“What’s the rush?”
He shrugged before looking at you and you look down.
“Is something wrong?”
You shake your head.
“Then what is it?”
“It’s nothing..Am I..Acting like something’s wrong?” you ask as you write down the answers that he pushed in your direction.
“It’s just…You aren’t your talkative self.”
You just nod silently.
“I have a lot on my mind.” you say.
“What is it?” he immediately asks.
“Nonsense. Things that aren’t really all that important.” you brush off.
“I have a lot on my mind as well.” he says after you both looked at the scale and write down the ounces.
“What is it?” you ask.
He sighed softly, only a bit before looking at you with a soft grin, “Why did you really stop playing yesterday?”
You sit back in your chair a bit, “Because..” you say with a shrug, “I wasn’t trying to make it seem like I was a show off or anything.”
“That was your moment to be a show off.”
“Well..It’s over now.”
“It doesn’t have to be.”
You look at him in question just as the bell for the first half of class ending, rings.
As students went to their lockers and used the bathrooms, you and Edward stayed seated at the lab table.
“What are you doing after school?”
“I have a piano lesson today.” you tell him.
It seemed as though Edward tried to think of something else to say.
“After that?”
“Going home…” you say with a slight shrug.
The class resumed after the small break. The teacher closed the door back.
“Are..Are we finished?” you ask as Edward takes both of your completed worksheets in his hand.
He nods and placed the sheets in the bin. The teacher grins a bit and goes back to typing on their open laptop.
You then pull out homework.
“Where did you move from?”
You tell him.
“That’s not far…” he mused and you nod.
“Has it always been one parent?”
“Divorce.” you answer in a small voice as you fly through the homework. You just did not feel like doing it later.
“Where are you going to college?”
You pause your writing and look up at him with a pitiful expression. He’s amused by this.
“I really don’t want to talk about all of that right now.”
You’ve heard enough of it at home.
“May I ask why?” he asks.
“It’s just..Not my priority right now, alright? I…” you say and look down to the pencil that’s clutched in your hand, “I don’t even know what I’m going to major in, let alone choose a school.”
“Music.” he says as if it’s very obvious.
“I’m afraid it’s not a safe career option.” you say.
His eyebrows furrowed a bit, “Why isn’t it?”
“I guess my lovely parent has nightmares of me being a homeless but talented musician.” you mutter. This makes him laugh a bit.
Walking side by side in the halls, he stops before the cafeteria is in view.
“Skip your lesson.”
You whip around at him as if he was crazy. He just plainly stared at you.
“Why on Earth would you ask me to do that?” you ask.
“We can work on your song for your competition recording.”
“That’s why I going to my lessons.” you say and nudge his arm.
“I can teach you superb notes to play. Something that isn’t repetitive.” he insisted.
“You don’t even know the song I’m playing.” you say.
The people you sit with at lunch walks past, questions that you know you will have to answer to at the table, is painted on their faces.
“Tell me.”
You tell him.
He shakes his head slightly, showing disapprovement.
“Come on..That’s elementary for your skill level.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. I’m not skipping my lesson. Plus, I don’t want to get trouble when I’m supposed to be there and I don’t show up because I was getting my own special lesson from you.” you say and you walk away at that.
They did ask what you two were talking about.
“We had to work together in science today. It’s nothing.” you wave off.
A new chapter was taught in history. In the dark room that was lit up from the teacher’s screen, showing what needed to be wrote down, the class took notes. Jasper was back in his seat in the back of the class.
You slid your coat on and watched as Edward stood in front of you. He did something that surprised you.
He extends his arms and zips your coat up for you. You blinked.
“Thanks.”
He only nods.
“Here to convince me?” you poke at him.
“It seems you have your mind made up.” he says.
He tells you goodbye as you walk to the car that your parent was in.
As they drive, you notice that you’re going in the direction of your home, not to the place where the lesson was held.
“Where are you going?” you ask.
“We have to talk.” they tell you.
“Okay..”
“I feel like we should pull back from lessons-“
“What?”
“Y/N, sit back.” they say as they take a glance at you.
“No.” you say. They give you a look. You sit back.
“Why? Why are you doing this to me?” you ask desperately.
“You need to be more focused on what you’re going to do with your life.”
You cross your arms as you felt like you were going to cry.
“I know what I’m going to do with my life…Just please don’t take this away from me. Please!” you beg.
“What are you majoring in?” they ask as you both come to a stop at a red light.
You didn’t have an answer. You couldn’t blurt out an answer because they will hold you to it.
“See? Maybe this summer we can put you back in but for right now-“
“This summer?! That’s like…” you quickly count on your fingers, “Five months from now! What am I going to do until then?”
“Study. Really get down into what you are going to go to school for. If you’re going in my profession, I can start pulling some strings now but otherwise, get some letters of recommendations ready so you’re not scrambling all around last minute. Then, we gotta start doing tours of schools. There’s a lot to be done Y/N and now’s the time to start getting prepared. You can always tinker around with your piano once your business is taken care of.”
You slump back in your seat and let the rest of the lecture go in one ear and out the other. It was completely unfair.
You press down on your keyboard sadly as you couldn’t think of giving it up.
You barely spoke in the morning as you got dropped off at school. Your parent still wished you a good day. You were planning to have the most terrible day.
“How was your lesson?” Edward asks as you shoved your belongings in the locker and slam it shut.
“No more lessons until the summer. Yay me.” you say and storm off. He keeps up.
“Why?”
“Because.” you huff out angrily, “Because..Apparently it’s only pleasure and not at all business.”
“I’m sorry..” he says.
You give him a quizzical look, “Why are you apologizing?”
He opens and closes his mouth and opens it again, “It’s unfortunate..”
You nod and start to go inside of the classroom but his hand touches the hand that was at your side. You look at him.
“We can practice after school.”
You shake your head.
“Nah..”
“Why not? Isn’t that what you want?” he asks.
“It is but…You’ve done enough as it is.” you tell him.
You felt his eyes watch as you walk to your seat and sit down.
Quizzes were passed back. You read the score.
“6/10”
Your teacher leans down to quietly speak to you, “I know you can do better than that.”
You nod.
Your acting skills were then put to the test when your lab partner gushed to you about why they missed the day before. A college tour.
The teacher walks in and everybody has a seat and new notes on the new lesson were taken.
Edward walked to the spot you two always sit, in the back of the library but you walked in another direction.
You needed time to think. You sat by yourself as you stuck your headphones in and listened to music quietly.
You felt a hand touch your shoulder.
Taking them out, you look up to find Edward.
“Study hall is over.”
You rise and he actually waits as you gather your things.
“Kind of sucks you are a year below me. You have more time to figure things out, if you haven’t already.” you say. A small grin appears on his face, “What makes you think I might have things figured out?”
You take a quick look at him as you both walk in the halls, “You just look it.”
“Look it?”
“Yeah. Like…You have yourself together.”
“Like I have myself together.” he mused.
“Correct.”
“What else do I look like?”
You chuckle a bit, “You just…I don’t know you just seem mature. Especially for your age.”
“I’m mature for my age?”
“Are you just gonna repeat everything I say?” you ask with a smile.
“Maybe..” he says and the brunette that you have seen around, looks in both of your direction. She prolongs her eye contact before books slide out of her hands.
You watch as a boy eagerly picks them up. You look to see that Edward was watching the scene unfold right with you.
You then continue walking.
“She’s not my friend.”
That’s what played in your head. You don’t know why it stuck out to you but it kept replaying as you ate your lunch.
“I wonder if he’s lying.” you thought in your head but you then wondered why you even cared if he was or not. It’s not like you liked him or anything. You just thought he had a good looking face.
“Is Edward Cullen dating Bella Swan?” you couldn’t help but blurt out at the table.
A girl next to you looks at you with a snigger, “As if. I’m surprised a Cullen is even talking to you.”
“Why?” you ask.
“They talk to no one. They would be freaks if they were ugly. That’s what makes them so interesting. Rich, smart, good looking, good family, but they never talked to anyone here.”
“Edward talked to Bella.” you point out.
“Yeah for like a second. Then, it went back to him being to himself.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. She almost got crushed by some van and apparently he was there beside her when it happened.”
So, that’s why they were both at the hospital. That’s why the nurses commented on it being hectic that day.
“Huh.” you replied in thought.
“Yup. Some kid named Tyler who couldn’t control his own van. The van was skidding down ice and everything. She’s so lucky she didn’t get crushed. The paramedics came and everything.”
“Wow. I came right after all of the excitement.” you comment and laughs circled around the table.
You felt a nudge after you walked out of the cafeteria.
You look and display a grin.
“Hey, Alice.”
“Hey, you.” she says and she’s skipping at your side, linking her arm with yours.
“Wanna come over after school?”
You sigh a bit, “I really wish I could. I got a lot of work to do.”
“You do? It was a pretty relaxed day, at least for me.” she says.
It felt like she caught you in a lie.
“It-Its not homework. Honestly..Can I be honest?” you ask. She nods as she encouraged you. You wanted to say what was on your mind but you couldn’t form the words. You opted for something else instead.
“I don’t think I can come over today. I have to start researching for schools. I don’t feel like hearing another lecture.” you say in a tone that screamed pity.
She smiles a bit, “Why don’t we do so together? I might need ideas.”
“Darn you.” you say with a slight point, “Why do you have to have an answer for anything?”
She laughs as Jasper says hello to you. You both walk into the classroom together after you greet him back.
In your last class of the day, you let your parent know that you won’t be needing a ride home.
Edward was there when you came out of the classroom. You nod a greeting.
“Alice told me you’re coming over.” he says as you both walk to your locker.
“Yeah.”
“What changed your mind?”
You open your locker and don’t say anything.
“She asked me. We are researching schools together.”
He snorts. You look at him.
“Alice had her school picked out since forever.”
“So she lied?” you deadpanned.
“I wouldn’t say she lied. You said you wanted to research schools. She offered to do so together. She can still research schools with you even with her own picked out.
You shrug on your coat and your coat is zipped up from him. He opens his hand. You look at it. You watch as it moves towards your backpack and he eventually holds it in his hand.
You place your hands in your pocket.
“You never wear one.” you observed.
He doesn’t say anything.
Sitting at the family computer, you were bored. You were more interested in Alice’s conversation than the descriptions of what a school was offering on the big screen.
“Fashion?”
She nods.
“You’re so lucky your parents are letting you major in that.” you say.
Her eyebrows furrowed a bit, “You have your music.”
“Yeah but..” you then shake your head, “Not to go get a degree for. I’ve been told, it’s pretty much useless.”
“Nonsense!” she says.
“Exactly.” you sigh out.
“She can’t take lessons anymore.” you hear Edward’s voice speaks out.
“What?!”
You giggle at her outburst.
“Y/N, I’m sorry.” she says.
“You weren’t the one who took it away from me. I will be okay.” you say.
Jasper comes into the computer room, peeking his head in.
“Alice are you ready?”
“Coming.” she says and turns back to you and gives you a quick hug before following him out.
“Where are you going?” you ask.
“We’re visiting a..Family member. Edward..Are you coming?”
You watch him shake his head.
“See you.” Alice says and grabs Jasper’s hand.
The room was silent and you scroll a bit before looking at Edward who was watching you.
“Why didn’t you go?” you ask.
“Didn’t want to.” he says. You nod and look back at the screen.
“You said you wanted to hear me play.” he says.
“Uh huh.” you say.
“Come on.” he says and you see that he’s leaving out. You exit out of the browser and follow him.
He pats the spot next to him on the bench. You sit as you concentrate on his fingers.
It was like an orgasm for your ears. Your eyes were stuck to his fingers. His fingers moved with such speed and precision. The music that produced from him and his piano was the most loveliest sound that your ears had ever heard.
When the song was over, he played around with some notes. It reminded you of a hotel lobby.
“I’m not ready at all.” you whisper.
“What?” he asks with a small chuckle.
“There’s definitely going to be people who play like that.”
“I doubt it.” he quietly but confidently says.
You don’t say anything and you press on the weighted key with one finger.
“Do you want me to teach you that song?” he asks.
You look at him with wide eyes.
“What song?” you ask. He chuckles again.
“The song I just played.”
“Yeah, right.”
“It is a competition. It’s about being the best.” he says.
You shrug a bit.
“When’s the deadline?”
“Next month.”
He nods, “Okay. That should give us enough time.”
“I didn’t say yes.”
“But you want to.”
You retract your hand from the keys.
“How did you get so good?” you question.
“Years and years of practice.”
“You…Not to give you a big head, but you play very good. Like, better than some composers I’ve heard.”
He smiles as he looked at the keys.
“You let me teach you, you’ll win. What’s the prize? Money? Scholarship? What?”
“Money but, I don’t really care about it. I just wanted to be able to have the experience of winning something like that…I want to be able to say, well hopefully say, ‘I won that.’” you admit. He doesn’t say anything but you can tell he soaked in your words. You look away from his gaze.
“You do that a lot.”
“Do what?” you ask and glide your finger across the keys one time.
“You don’t like looking at me.” he says.
You pause your movements.
“What do you mean?” you ask quietly.
“I mean that you don’t like looking at me. You look away from me all the time.”
You shrug, “I’ve never noticed.”
“You’re not even looking at me now.”
You breathe of a small laugh but you still don’t meet his eyes.
“That doesn’t mean I don’t like looking at you.”
“Do you like looking at me?”
“I don’t…Know.” you answer honestly.
“I like looking at you when I’m talking to you.”
You don’t say anything. You instead shift a bit in your bench. You slowly look to him and his expression is warm but he took in your face. His eyes moved about subtly as you both blinked at each other.
You look away with a small but breathy chuckle.
“You did it again.” he says.
“We didn’t talk.” you reply.
“We’re talking right now.”
“You’re intense..” you comment.
“Is that bad?”
“I don’t know.” you answer honestly.
He taught you the beginning part. He made you do it over and over and advised you to practice when you got home. It definitely was a challenge.
“Thank you teacher Edward.” you joke.
He zipped your coat up and smiled, “You’re a very good student.”
You walk out of his house and you look to him, “You zip my coat up but you never thought to zip yours up?”
“I’m not cold.”
“Edward, are you sick in the head or something?”
He laughs. Laughs as if it was a joke made by a comedian.
He opens the car door up and you sit in the car.
He drops you off and before you get out, “Can I pick you up tomorrow?”
Your backpack is in your lap and you say, “It’s fine. You and your siblings have been good to me. I won’t ask you to do too much.”
“It’s not too much on my part, Y/N.” he says and the look on his face was sincere. You just nod.
Over dinner, you had to explain yourself.
“We were studying.”
“Did you study for schools?”
You groan as you set your fork down.
“Yes. I did.”
“Okay. What school?”
“I want to major in music.”
Their own fork clatters as they look at you.
“Y/N. We are not having this talk again.”
“It’s my passion.” you say.
“I know that-“
“Do you? I don’t want to work a job where I’m unhappy.” you say as you poke at your food.
“I don’t think you should hang around that boy anymore.”
“Really?” you ask.
“It’s like you’re distracted.”
“How? My homework’s done, I’m doing what you’re asking, please don’t strip my entire life from me.”
They don’t say anything.
You worked your fingers with your keyboard with your headphones plugged in.
Newfound determination came out as you practiced.
So that’s how it went.
He would pick you up from school, walk you to your classes, you would look up in science as you worked with your lab partner and catch him staring, and he would walk you to his car after school.
You both worked together on the song he was teaching you. He was mature with his criticism. It felt like you were in an actual lesson and he was an actual teacher. He knew his stuff.
You felt yourself improve each day. Your time at the Cullens lengthened to the point, you wondered how come you never seen them eat dinner.
The sky was darkened, mostly due to the ending of daylight savings time and you sat quiet in the passenger seat.
“What’s wrong?”
You look to him focused on the road and you shake your head, “Nothing’s wrong.”
“You haven’t said anything since we left my house.” he says.
“Just…I’m just…Do you and your family eat?” you blurt out.
You watch as his lip curled up in amusement.
“Yes. We eat.”
“You guys must eat really late.”
“Yeah.”
“What’s your favorite food?” you ask.
“You wouldn’t like it…I’m a vegetarian.”
You eyed him but didn’t say anything else.
You reach for the door but he calls your name.
“Yeah?” you answer.
He’s hesitant, but he forces it out, “Next week, after we record your solo, can I take you to dinner?”’
“As…Friends?” you ask.
“Whatever you want.”
“I’ll think about it.” you say with a smile. He formed his own as he watched you walk inside your home.
It was surprising. You dreamed about playing the piano. You dreamed about playing the piano with Edward.
You yawned a little as you felt him put an arm around you as you both walked the halls.
“You didn’t get sleep?”
“Not really.” you say quietly and looked at his limp hand that was attached to the arm that was around you.
At lunch, the question was dropped like a bomb.
“Are you and Edward dating?”
“No. We’re just friends.” you say casually as you bit into your lunch.
Giggles circled and you furrowed your eyebrows, “What?”
It was a study hall day, you and Edward sat really close to each other in the back of the library.
“People are thinking we are dating.” you say with a straight face.
He slowly grinned.
“I heard that too.” he says.
“I don’t want you to think I’m trying to make our friendship weird. I really appreciate all that you’re doing for me. Same with Alice and everyone else.” you say.
“So, have you thought about what I asked you?” he asks and you look down from his eyes.
“Um..Not really. I’ve been too tired…To really think.” you say.
“If you don’t want to, just say no.” he says.
“When I say I don’t know, it means I’m not sure if I want to or not.”
“What makes you so unsure?”
You just stare at your hands.
“Why did you give me that song out of all songs?” you ask, changing the subject.
He notices but goes along with it, “It reminds me of you. It fits you.”
“Whatever that means.” you say with a slight chuckle.
“It’s true.” he answered.
The week went by fast. Too fast.
It was the weekend. He waited outside of your home as you got into his car on an early afternoon.
You aimed the camera at you as it stood up tall on the camera stand.
You wring your fingers a bit before looking at him. His hands are in his pockets as he looked at you.
“I’m..Kinda nervous. This never happened before.” you admit.
“Just pretend you’re in your room by yourself.”
You nod and walk to the piano.
He stands by, ready to hit record.
You roll your shoulder back before positioning yourself and gave him a slight nod to let him know that you were ready.
He gave you a small thumbs up and you play with determination.
You surprised yourself as you owned the keys on the grand piano. You were thankful that he let you use his. The weighted keys were pressed down as the musical sounds filled the room. Your eyes followed your fingers and you were focused. The nervousness that you felt earlier rolled off of you by each second.
When you were finished, you look up to see a small smile and a small clap.
“You hit it right on the nose.”
“Thanks.” you say as you scratch the back of your neck.
Nothing was said as you scooted off of the bench and walk to the camera that was currently in his hands.
“I thought about it.” you say. He meets your eyes.
“Thought about what?”
“We can…Sit down for dinner. Thank you for letting me use your piano.”
“I told you, you were free to use it.” he says but his smile didn’t fade as he broke down the camera stand.
You nod and sit on the sofa as you watch the video of you.
“Are you proud of yourself?” he asks.
A small smile formed, “Yes.”
The rest of the Cullens made conversation with you as you lounged in their home.
You found out that they had traveled to different cities. They had great stories to tell.
You noticed they all had the same eye color. Questions ran deep.
Edward reached and opened the door for you as you walk in.
“Table for two.” he holds up two fingers.
You stare at his glass of water, untouched.
“This smells really good.” you say as the waiter sets your plate down. “Are you sure you’re not ordering anything?” you ask.
“I’m okay. I ate a big breakfast.”
As you chewed slowly, you began to think.
You swallow.
“Edward…Do you…Have an eating disorder?” you ask quietly.
“No.” he says with a smile. A bit of relief forms in you but you’re still confused.
“I’ve been with you almost all day and not once have I seen you eat. Or your family.”
“We just…Have a special diet is all. But really, I’m okay. I ate right before I picked you up.”
You nod.
Valentine’s day rolled around. People walked the halls with small teddy bears and candy from their own relationships.
You open your locker with your coat in hand.
The teddy bear was as big as the space in your locker. You look to Edward. He looks to you.
“This from you?” you ask. He nods.
You hold it up with two hands. The smile stretched across your face.
You set it back in your locker. You hug him. He hugged you back.
“You shouldn’t have.” you say to him with a grin.
“Do you like it?”
“Yes. I love it. Thank you.” you say. Your eyes then look about and you see people are walking past and staring.
“Is there something on me?” you ask in a whisper. You don’t remember dropping toothpaste on your clothes that morning.
“No.” he says with a slight chuckle.
You close your locker after making sure the bear was safe.
“Then, why are people staring?” you ask in another whisper.
You both start to walk and he puts his hand around your back and places his hand on your arm to pull you close, “They’re just curious. You have nothing to worry about.”
A dance was coming up in May.
You had no plans of going. That’s all your lunch table talked about.
“It’s girls ask guys. Are you asking Edward?”
“No. I don’t even want to go.”
“What?!” the entire table asks.
You shrug.
“You’re just going to do nothing but sit in your room?”
“Whatever.” you say as you playfully roll your eyes.
“We have no lessons today.” you say as Edward wasn’t going in the direction of your home.
“I know.” he says. You sit back in your seat.
You sat next to him on his couch in your room after you both finished homework.
“You don’t have a bed?” you ask as you noticed something missing.
He looked around.
You looked around with him.
“Are you going to the dance?” he asks changing the subject.
You look to him and shake your head.
“Why not?” he genuinely asks. You shrug, “We’re just going to be seeing the same people that we see everyday but just in different clothes.”
He chuckles at that.
“It’s your high school experience.”
“If you want me to ask you, just say that.” you say with a grin.
The look that displayed on his face make your heart thump, making you almost retract your statement due to nervousness.
“I want you to ask me.”
“Do we…Go as friends?” you ask.
“We could.”
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
He gets up and holds out his hands.
You eyed him as you get up as well, placing your hands in his cool ones.
“Does it bother you that your hands are cold?” you ask.
He shakes his head, “I’m used to it.”
His thumbs brush the back of your hands that made you let out a small breath, you look up to him. He was looking down at your hands but slowly looks up into your eyes.
Soon, he keeps one of your hands in his and placed one of his hands on your back.
“What are you doing?” you ask as you grinned.
He twirled you as if you both had done this time and time again.
“We should practice.”
You both slow danced and you both were amused.
He gave you a hug when you were about to unlock your front door.
“You should get in your car. You will get sick.”
“I’ll be okay.” he says near your neck.
Weeks rolled by slowly. Your dreams were consisting of more and more of Edward. You seen him basically everyday. Even on weekends.
You sat up late in the night. Your heart thudded.
You dreamed that you both kissed. Your mind was distracted.
You stopped raising your hand in class. It was as if he infected your mind to only think of him.
The teachers took notice.
At lunch, your friends invite you to Port Angeles for clothes shopping for the dance.
As you waited for one friend to get out of the dressing room, you thought about changing your mind.
It was to the point where your heart started to race when you were near him. Even when you thought of him.
Your first acceptance letter that came in the mail made your parent let off of your back.
“See? This is a great school too.” they say with a pat on your back. You nod.
You received an email. Stating that you won. You blinked at it.
You gasp and run to your parent.
“I won!”
“Won what? A scholarship?” they ask.
“No. The piano competition. I won.”
“Oh. That’s nice.” they say.
“I’m getting a check in the mail soon.”
“Good. You can put it towards your schooling to get the things that you need.” they start to stay on that topic. You tuned them out.
You nervously pace as you clicked on his contact. One ring.
“Hello?”
“Thank you. Thank you so much.” you just say.
“You’re welcome….What did I do?”
“I won.” you say with a smile. He congratulated you, telling you that he knew you had it in you.
“I’m not coming to school tomorrow.” he tells you.
“Oh. Why?”
“Family emergency. I’ll see you after though.”
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
It was like you were in a daze. The entire family did not show up. The teacher’s words morphed together. It was as if you were in a time warp.
You hugged the large teddy bear that he had given you when you got home. You didn’t know if you were going crazy but it freshly smelled like him. The bear rested right under your nose.
The weekend came and he calls you.
“I want to take you somewhere.”
“Okay.” you tell him.
The meadow was beautiful. You had to tell yourself to breathe. You felt his cool hand interlaced with yours and you let him tug you.
“How do you find something like this?” you ask.
“I like to explore.” he says quietly.
He pulled you to him as he took both of your hands. He looked down at you.
He brings you in closer with both arms around your shoulders, you look up to him.
“I have to tell you something.” he says quietly. You nod.
His gaze burns into yours, “I don’t want to go to the dance as friends.”
“That’s okay…I didn’t really want to go anyway.” you say. He chuckles softly before shaking his head. He then straighten out his facial expression.
“I still want to go with you. Together.” he confirmed.
“As in…?”
He only blinked as he peered down at you. You look away as you notice that you two were in a tight embrace.
The next day, he knocked on your door.
You let him in with a grin.
You both hug. You then take his hand and your parent allowed you to go with him and his family to play baseball.
“Isn’t it going to rain?” they ask him as Edward zipped your coat up.
“We’re trying to stick a game in before it does.” he answered. He takes your hand and you’re following him to his car.
In the clearing area, the sounds of thunder was from the sky.
Alice grins, “It’s time.”
You thought that you were dreaming. There was just no way an average person could leap that high or run that fast. You had no words. You were very impressed and entertained.
The soft drizzle of rain dropped down as Alice threw the ball with a fast whizz. You heard thunder but instead of quick flashes of lightening strikes, you look up in the sky and see Edward and Emmett slam into each other. They’re on the ground laughing.
Alice throws, Rosalie is at the plate and cracks the ball with the bat. Once again, the loud struck of thunder surrounds the field but you knew it came from them.
“Y-you’re out.” you tell Rosalie. She gets up and whispered, “You could’ve let me slide with that one.”
“Cheating! You’re out!” Emmett says with a joyous grin. She flashed him an annoyed look.
“It’s just a game, babe!” he says.
You shrug with a soft smile as you help her brush the dirt off of her pants.
Jasper steps to the plate next and flips his bat impressively. Alice throws the ball and Jasper hits it and you watch as her eyes suddenly grow big.
Alice yells a time out that captured everyone’s attention. Before you knew it, your arm was grabbed by Edward as the family circled around you. It was as if they were hiding you.
“Let’s go.” Edward says to you.
“It’s too late. They were leaving when they heard us.” Alice whispered in slight panic.
You heard Alice hiss out in a whisper, “Cover Y/N’s scent.”
“Scent?” you wondered in your mind.
“You’re okay. Just stay quiet, okay?” he whispered to you, to calm you down. You nod slowly.
You look up to Edward looking at you out of the corner of his eye as he glued his hand into yours. You look down, his foot taps a steady rhythm. You wondered why he did it.
You hear Carlisle speak.
“Thank you.”
You peek and see three figures standing in front of the Cullens.
“I’m Laurent, this is Victoria and this is James.”
“I’m Carlisle and this is my family.” Carlisle says as gestures with his hands.
Laurent greets everyone.
You watch as Edward glared at someone. You didn’t want to look who it was.
“So…Could you use more players?”
There was hesitance and Laurent smiles, “Just one game.” he says with one finger up.
“Oh, alright. A few of us were leaving so you can take their spot.” Carlisle says and throws the ball back to Laurent. The girl however, Victoria, caught it with such insane reflex, you held back a gasp.
Slowly, Edward tugs you away. The family moved with his movements. Carlisle kept them talking. The rain started to pour more heavily.
Edward practically threw you in the car and he was already starting the engine before you could click your seatbelt in. You watch as the others form into a game.
He drives in silence.
“I shouldn’t have brought you here. I’m sorry.”
You do nothing but stare at him.
He dropped you back off at home.
“I’m sorry, Y/N.” he says again as the rain poured down behind him. You both stood in front of the front door.
“We have to talk.”
“Okay.” he says with a nod.
You give him one last look before shutting the door behind you. The rain poured much heavier. You stare out of the window.
Hours went by. Your phone rings. You answer.
“Do you want to talk?”
You watch your wall, “Yes.”
“Okay.”
“Just tell me the truth Edward…Your family are like…Superheroes or something. They jump really high, run really fast, super fast reflexes, and you all have the same eye color. Those people..In the field, their eyes were red.”
There was silence before he spoke again, “You’re right.”
“What are you?” you ask. You felt like crying. It felt scary in a way.
“I don’t want to tell you over the phone. I want to see you when I tell you.” he whispered.
You set the phone down and cover your eyes with your hand.
“Y/N? Are you there?”
“Yes.” you say after you pick your phone back up.
He doesn’t say anything else.
“Edward….We can’t see each other anymore.” you say softly.
“Y/N..I promise to tell you everything…Just not now. Please?”
“How long do you want me to wait? I just want the truth. I’ve been truthful to you.”
“You have. I just don’t want to mess this up…Us up..I really like you.”
“I like you too….But..I’m afraid all things that we like might not be good for us.”
“Y/N.” he begged.
His tone made you breathe in.
“What did Alice mean by my scent? Why were you hiding me from the red eyed people? Are they dangerous?”
“Yes. They’re very dangerous. Your scent would’ve enticed them.”
“What does that mean?” you ask softly, trying to gain understanding.
He lets out a frustrated sigh, “I want to tell you everything in person.”
“But we will be at school. Our time will be limited.”
“Can I come over?”
“What?” you ask as you never snuck in a boy before. It was almost midnight.
“I’ll sneak through your window. I won’t make a sound. I will answer everything truthfully. I promise. I…Just don’t want us to be apart.”
You think for a moment. You wondered what could go wrong. He’s patient on the line. As long as you’re on the line, he was okay.
“You promise you will answer everything?” you ask.
“Cross my heart, hope to die.”
The statement made you chuckle a bit before he joins you.
You hang up with your head spinning. In a way, you thought back to things and how things used to be. You didn’t know if things were ever going to be the same. You were a bit scared of the soon to be answers to your soon to be questions. Not knowing what to expect, you just unlock your window without opening it. You then have a seat on your bed and hug the teddy bear that he had given you tight to your chest.

Links between Finnish/Proto-Uralic folklore consepts and Remedyverse
Disclaimer: this is not an all-compassing information piece about Uralic/Finnish/Nordic beliefs, religions and folklore. This is purely a look into the general aspects of these beliefs and how they might relate to Remedyverse, since we know that Mister Järvi has taken some inspiration from these sources. The foreing terms used here are in Finnish, though the concepts themselves are Proto-Uralic in nature, since that's the group Finnish old belief system lands in.
THE NAIL
In Control's first DLC, "Foundation", you can find a structure referred to as "The Nail", a tall pillar-y object made of dark rocky material. During the campaing, by completing tasks as Jesse, you are able to build it back to it's former glory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finnish/Proto-Uralic belief has a concept known as "Taivaannaula", which roughly translates to "Sky's Nail". Taivaannaula is a star on top of a structure called "Maailmanpylväs", as in "World's Pillar" (can also be depicted as a tree or a mountain), and it has said to be the point around which the whole dome of sky turns.
Tumblr media
The actual real life star referred here is the North Star, Polaris.
Tumblr media
So it would stand to reason that in Remedyverse, the Nail is a link between the Foundation, our world, and the Astral Plane.
THE WORLDVIEW OF THREE REALMS
The World's Pillar runs through all 3 realms of Proto-Uralic worldview; Ylinen, Keskinen and Alinen.
Ylinen is a place above the human realm and sky where the "creator god", a deus otiosus, supposedly resides.
(Wiki: "In the history of religion and philosophy, deus otiosus is the belief in a creator God who has entirely withdrawn from governing the universe after creating it or is no longer involved in its daily operation.")
Keskinen is the realm of mortals and gods/spirits who are responsible for running the daily matters of the world, usually linked to nature or people. For example Tapio - god of forest, Ahti - god of lakes and seas, and tonttu - the guardian of the house.
Alinen is the realm of the dead, also known as "Manala/Tuonela" in Finnish. The land of the dead is said to be an island in an icy sea situated below the ground and governed by an old woman.
In Remedyverse, a neat theory would be that the Astral Plane could be seen as the game's version of Ylinen. A realm where the Former and The Board seem to reside, and a plane which has little to do with the everyday life of natural world and humans. It would also tie neatly into the fact that it seems like the Board's Pyramid fits perfectly into the empty slot on top of the Nail.
Tumblr media
The middle realm, where the mortals live, I would say is rather self-explanatory. We already have the god of water Ahti mopping about the place (and you know, Tapio, but that one is much more muddy since we know next to nothing of the guy, and Tapio is a perfectly legitimate Finnish name regardless of one's godly status), and I feel many of the superatural elements of both Oldest House and Bright Falls could be linked to these forces and gods operating in the realm.
Tumblr media
And lastly, I think it's pretty safe to assume that The Dark Place is at least somewhat inspired by Alinen. The Diver's Isle in the middle of a lake that's actually an ocean, an old hag lurking about and the concept of a soul becoming trapped under the Cauldron Lake.
Tumblr media
And in addition to all of this, these is a river called "Maailmanjoki" which also flows through all these layers. It waters the roots of the Tree in Ylinen, gathers into a pond at the base of it, flows through the realm of humans as a river, travels into the world of the dead Alinen, and because everything is inversed in the Alinen (inversion, another concept Remedy seemingly likes to include in their lore), the river flows into the opposite direction, and ends up going back around to water the Tree once more.
The eternal cycle of the world.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
PILE 1
Strenght (reverse), knight of wands (reverse),8 cups, 9 pentacles
You guys are very photogenic. Your friends love taking pictures of you and may even do it without you knowing. Y’all are very aesthetically pleasing people. On the other hand, y’all can’t not take a good picture to save yourself. You are incapable of finding the angle or even placing the phone properly, worse than boomers for some. Which ends up pissing off your friends. Y’all are not tech savvy. We are lucky you even know how to use your phone.
The way you show your affection is by having no control on the relationship. Wherever the flow brings y’all, you cool with it. You don’t care for labels and you are down for literally anything. Don’t care and you will never care for the title ‘’ relationship’’, you don’t mind being ‘’just friends’’ forever. You guys can move in together, fuck each other cuddle, go to hopsital appointment and share y’all deepest secret and even convince a kid with no title. You will not have shame or even be scared to explain your situation to people around you because you don’t mind how unorthodox it is. That being said for technicalities, you will allow your partner to explore sexual endeavors with other people. Even allowing them to hold their own independence meaning living in the same house but sleeping in different bedrooms. If y’all share an abundance with each other, you can share a mansion. Like the east side is yours and the south side is his/hers. You will show your affection by holding no taboo against them. They can possess any sex toys; they might  even introduce you to their sex dolls, if they feel like it. Y’all may not even have sex at all… some of y’all is giving lavender marriage. Maybee ? I don’t know ? I have no clear indication of such but the way I am writing it, it sure sounds like it. Another way to show your affection is by  accepting their belief, y’all may have different religion or practice. Lastly you may show your affection  by not expecting anything material from them  (which lowkey breaks one of the principles  of Lavender marriage …). You don’t expect a ring, a car, or even roses on valentine day’s. All things said , it is really a show of going with the flow. If they decide to do it, you don’t mind doing it too. If they dim all the little gestures unnecessary then so do you. Ultimately your ‘’ no pressure’’ attitude is going to be the best way you show affection to them which can simulate their sexual appetite.

PILE 2
Queen swords, 4 swords, 7 pentacles (reverse), 2 pentacles
Y’all are adopted. Y’all were in the system until 10 years old ( max ) then your life took another turn for the best. You always loved your adoptive family. They always welcomed you and poured into you. The whole family is always showering you with gifts, affection and support but you need an answer. You got them, you quickly realize that you dodge the bullet. Your biological family may be very abusive.
The way you show your affection with your partner in a sexual setting starts with foreplay. You may indulge in giving your full attention to them. You are the perfect boyfriend/girlfriend for nerds. You will let them rant bout all the rules in the new fantasy world in which they are obese about while giving them the ‘’fuck me’’ eyes. You have beautiful brown eyes with stars in them when you are looking at something that you love. Sex apart, they love the way you look at them. You make them feel like the most loved human  being with only a look from you. The appreciation, tenderness, passion all of it in the iris of your eyes is making them love sick. Back to the sex, the way you listen and UNDERSTAND (at least try) make them feel fucking special. You even go as far as engaging in conversation with them which they looooove. Even when you are clumsy with the concept of a subject you don’t get mad when they correct you. Artists would be the perfect pair for you too. Not only are you the perfect muse (we are going to get into it later…) but you are a smart one. You don’t mind diving into the critics of philosopher, you don’t mind debating who is the best musician of the Renaissance, you don’t mind sitting down and letting your partner paint your back when they are overstimulated and you don’t mind listening to your partner singing for hours until they find perfect note. You have the patience of a God and that makes them want to give it all to you. Honestly you love discussing and especially debating because that’s why you turn on. So everything I listed is something they naturally do and everything is a way to get your panties wet/cock hard. Yes, paint on bareback and let your hand caress. Yes, sing to me how good I make you feel in between  the sheets. Yes, debate the principle of Aristotle  with me and show your passion. I love how you are trying to make your point while at the same focusing on my juicy lips.  Ok! Pile 2, your energy fully took over for a minute. Another way you show your affection is by making sure they reach their orgasm. It doesn't matter if they are tired after going hammers into you and making you cum at least 3 times. It doesn't matter if you are worn out. You need them to cum or you are dying … Ok a bit dramatic… (I feel like y’all are natural drama queen/king). You will give them a handjob  or you will rub their clit. You will do what is require for with the power still left in you to deliver your duty (Like I said fucking dramatic). Plus you will love to dive into the pleasure of a long intensive edging session, y’all can go for weeks edging. Playing with each other without actually reaching the sinful need of the body. Building the orgasm with each other and not cheating even when  you are really really really horny. Is almost a principle of respect for you. Lastly, you are acceptive of them in the bedroom. You don’t shame them for their kinks, you encourage them to go for it. You allow an open and affectionate communication for y’all to discuss y'all fantasy, kinks , experience, need, want, desire, etc…
💌 : Also don't feel bad because you have leaned on your partner through out the whole quest to your roots adventure. While you were trying to puzzle the truth regarding your identity, your partner felt needed and not at all annoyed. So relief yourself from that guilt. They are fine. PILE 3
9 wands (reverse), 2 cups, Knight wands, Tower (reverse)
Y’all are going through it mentally. You are deep in a depression rut. Y’all are victime of sexual harassment and you are healing. Is not as bad as it was but you know… sometimes the voice gets loud all over again. I am sending all the love I can, your way. You and I know it is going to get better and that the worse will pass. You just need to hang in there until you find the pace and you power back again. You knew your ex before y’all became a couple. He was a good friend when the accident happened and he came back into your life. He did not mean to leave you, you know we get busy with life and distance gets created.  Naturally the Divine opens a path for you to welcome them back into your life. Then you open up and it was good and got very bad again. So you decide to cut the relationship so you can heal some more without being a burden. They are going insane Pile 3. Don’t get me wrong, they are respecting your choice. But I have the vision of someone tearing up while doing their homework. Everytime they get back into their apartment at the end of the day, they literally get in a fetus position for a good 5 minutes reminiscing about you. They pray often which is ironic since they never believe in God or anything like that. Begging them to give them your pain and leaving you alone. That you suffer enough. The tears also are not something they do. Is not that they are emotionally available, they are just very masculine .
This section of the reading is from their POV .
They love making love to you. They love caressing you. They love your cellulite. They love your small boobs, they love your stomach, they love your thick tights ( I’m so sorry but I need to say that I am fucking rooting for them. Out here pushing through the tears to deliver the message. Ironic, I rarely get REALLY emotional. If only you could feel what I am feeling …) and they love your hair  (another message came through, One of your ex told you he hurted you because you were ugly and that he cheated because he loved blond … your man (I know y’all are not together but I am FUCKING rooting fo them) is screaming : I LOVE YOUR BROWN HAIR !). They kissed every part of you because they wished to make all the bad memories go away. They wish they could erase any trace of your abuser away. Is not about lust, it is all about the true passion that goes straight to their dick when they see you. Is not about owning you or winning you over. Is about protecting you and giving you the love you always deserve. They love having sex with you. When y’all were together, you could not keep y’all hands off each other. In a fucked up way you brain twisted that damm information (swear I am not mad at your brain, she is a victim too. So she is doing anything in her power to protect herself) making you feel that they only want you because of sex. Because that’s all a man can ever want from you. That’s all you are good for. You are undeserving of love because you are broken good ( Yes… Is me … again … YOU ARE NOT FUCKING BROKEN GOOD ! YOU HEARD ME ! You better tell your brain to get her shit together real quick. Is going to take time but let’s start by dropping the concept that you are damaged goods. I don’t want you to EVER think that.) The reality is they love you so much they can’t resist you. The mere fact that they can indulge in your affection is their biggest blessing. They are so grateful (Going back to their prayers, they are grateful that the Divine kept you alive and safe until you came back to them) that they get to share intimate moments with you. That you even let them see you in that seductive light. There’s nothing you can, God can do, I can do that's going to stop them from going back to you. There’s nothing that happens to you no matter how bad it is, that’s going to disgust them . There's nothing you can do that’s going to make them run away. Ever since you came back into their life, the flowers bloom, the sun shines and the birds chip. You brought the color back into their life. You brought joy to the mundane. Sex with you is an explosion of good feelings, fireworks even. They love sliding into you, seeing your face twisting in pleasure not in pain. A pleasure they are giving you and a pain they are protecting you from, safe in his presence . They often push you to keep your eyes focused on them because they want you to see you are safe. You are loved and you choose a good one proving you it was never your fault. Nothing you could have done was worth that punishment.
***BONUS***
How can you cope with your sexual wound ?
Spirit has an extra message dedicated to you.
The ultimate problem of this relationship is the perception of yourself. Before we get any further, I am not here to hurt you (Trust me, I understand you more than you think). You need to contextualize what happened to you. Maybe you are not ready to get help, maybe you are not ready to talk about… fuck maybe you just not ready to deal with it but you need to realize that he is not him. I understand that your brain wants to protect you from all the ‘’him’’. Maybe repeat to yourself out loud, ‘’ (His name) is not my enemy. He is my true lover’’ everyday while you're taking a shower. When  you are caressing your body with soap, remind her, she is ok with (his name). Is important that you precise the name for your body to understand that only him at least with him everything is alright. You need to find a way to make your brain and body understand that he is your protector and lover. Because your soul knows he is home. You may not know about the rest and you got hurt by the rest but him… never him … he is all love. I know you are suffering but keeping him away is killing y'all more than you think. I am not telling you to break your boundaries or get back with him, now. You can shoot him a text. Small text here and there, telling him, you are ok , you ate. It can even be random as you telling him you are watching your favorite TV show. Let your brain get used to craving intimacy at a healthy pace.  Plus it will greatly ease his mind. Please stop dissociating while you are having sex (Bestie speaking from experience, don’t do it because it can become a habit … when that happens … you will try anything to go back to feeling something …), if you feel like you can’t do it, express it. I don’t care if you are in the middle of an act. I don’t care if you feel horny but you got triggered. I DON’T CARE … take a break, regulate your nervous system and come back. Last let yourself heal, there’s no race when it come to this fuck up mess. Stop comparing yourself to your past and let yourself discover the new you, who survive one of the most terrorizing situations. Much love Chérie d’Amour, you got this and I DO … love you.

Ink!Sans Cultural Inspiration
(revised version)
Tumblr media

Disclaimer!
This post aims to explore and analyze both the prominent and subtle East Asian cultural influences—primarily Japanese—that have shaped the character of Ink!Sans. If any information in this essay is inaccurate or unintentionally offensive, please don’t hesitate to reach out! This essay serves as a revised and updated version of the analysis conducted last year.
Ink!Sans by @comyet

''It was a night where it felt like i was a miserable artist and i was very frustrated at my work and it felt like i wasn’t worth alot (we all have these), then I came across a picture of a japanese ink brush, and it was all I needed to start doodling a concept.
That’s how Ink is born.''
.
.
.
According to Ink’s creator, Comyet, the idea for Ink!Sans was sparked by an image of a brush specifically crafted for sumi and Chinese ink art. In China, the tradition of using specialized ink brushes, known as Chinese writing brushes, has been a foundational element in the art of calligraphy and traditional painting for centuries. These brushes are highly valued for their precision and versatility, allowing artists to produce a range of strokes, from fine lines to bold, expressive swashes. The brush itself is composed of a bamboo handle and a carefully tapered head made from animal hair, designed to hold and release ink in controlled flows.
This tool became central not only in Chinese culture but also influenced Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese art, where calligraphy holds a similar cultural significance and is closely tied to writing systems derived from Chinese characters. These brushes symbolize the control, fluidity, and intentionality required in both written language and visual art across East Asia. This deep-rooted cultural importance of the ink brush inspired Ink!Sans's character design and powers, allowing him to wield 'ink-based' abilities, symbolizing both creativity and adaptability. His main weapon—a brush—reflects this heritage and further emphasizes the connection between art and battle, as he channels the brush’s traditional associations with fluidity and strength into his fighting style, merging the arts of calligraphy and combat.
Tumblr media
(visual example of an ink calligraphy brush)
At glance, the ink material is an enduring medium that still surrounds society till this day and it's used in multiple cultures across the world.
Writing with ink calligraphy brushes is also common in Europe and the Middle East, where artisans developed ink using a unique combination of iron salts and oak galls. This type of ink, known as iron gall ink, initially appeared in rich, dark tones, making it highly desirable for manuscripts and official documents due to its bold, readable quality. However, over time, the iron in the ink oxidized, resulting in a distinct color shift to warm, rust-like brown tones. This characteristic fading can still be observed today in ancient manuscripts, such as early European literary works, where the reddish-brown hues give a sense of history to these documents. The durability and aesthetic appeal of iron gall ink contributed significantly to its prevalence in both regions, influencing the artistry of calligraphy and manuscript illumination for centuries.
Like previously mentioned, Ink!Sans was inspired by traditional ink materials developed in East Asia, where artisans mastered the creation of carbon-based black ink, often using soot or charcoal mixed with binding agents like animal glue. This type of ink, known for its rich, deep color and lasting durability, was a staple in East Asian calligraphy and artwork. Unlike iron gall ink, this carbon-based ink maintained its dark, almost jet-black color for centuries, even in varying environmental conditions. The resilience of this ink allowed ancient texts, paintings, and scrolls to retain their striking contrast and clarity, making it a celebrated medium in East Asian art and culture. Ink!Sans draws inspiration from this enduring quality, symbolizing strength, creativity, and the timelessness of artistic expression
Tumblr media
(visual example of an ancient art piece that used carbon-based black ink)
To note, unlike iron gall ink, carbon based inks are still very common to this day.
Although the primary Chinese calligraphic scripts were well established by the fourth century, calligraphy as an art form has continually evolved over the centuries, adapting to new cultural and aesthetic influences. Skilled calligraphers, who spent years mastering brush techniques and perfecting their own unique hand, were celebrated for their distinctive styles, and their works became templates for both art and personal expression. Over time, subsequent generations of artists studied these revered styles, incorporating and reinterpreting them to reflect their individual voices and the changing social landscapes. This ongoing transformation has kept Chinese calligraphy dynamic and relevant, and it remains a respected art form today, blending tradition with contemporary aesthetics.
In Japan, calligraphy also held deep cultural significance, symbolizing both personal refinement and intellectual achievement. Calligraphy was regarded as a mark of scholarly sophistication and artistic taste, with a variety of tools developed to enhance the writing experience. One notable example is the suzuribako ("ink stone box"), a portable lacquered wood box designed to store an inkstone, water dropper, brushes, and solid ink sticks. These boxes were crafted with precision and adorned with intricate lacquer designs, reflecting their owner’s status and appreciation for art. Suzuribako were lightweight and convenient, enabling calligraphers to take their tools outdoors or to scenic locations to write letters, diary entries, or poetry. This practice not only facilitated creativity but also connected the act of writing with nature, creating an immersive experience where one could find inspiration in the surrounding beauty while crafting words in elegant brushstrokes. The combination of these refined tools and settings underscored calligraphy’s role as a deeply personal and aesthetic pursuit in Japanese culture.
From this perspective, it is essential to highlight that Ink's character draws inspiration from traditional ink calligraphy, a detail reflected in his distinctive speech font, 'Note This'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Example of Ink's canon speaking font and ancient calligraphy)
Also clarified in an ask on her side blog, Comyet explained that traditional samurai clothing served as a key inspiration for Ink's outfit redesign in 2020. Ink's creator thoughtfully incorporated these characteristics to enhance Ink’s visual appeal and connection to his main source of inspiraton. This influence is particularly noticeable in the first and second analyses of Ink's character, where we see clear visual cues from iconic Japanese garments.
Tumblr media
(Ink!sans reference sheet for the 2020 design, credit goes to @/comyet)
Ink's pants were inspired by hakama, a traditional Japanese garment known for its distinctive design as skirt-like trousers, typically worn over a kimono. Hakama are historically associated with a range of activities, from ceremonial occasions to martial arts, and are often considered a symbol of status and refinement. Specifically, Ink's pants appear to be inspired by the umanori style of hakama, which is characterized by a split or division in the middle, allowing for greater freedom of movement. This style was traditionally worn by samurai and other individuals involved in horseback riding, as the design allowed for ease of movement and flexibility when mounting or riding a horse.
Tumblr media
The umanori hakama were not only practical for riding but also served as a functional yet elegant garment, embodying the balance of form and function typical in Japanese clothing. By incorporating this style into Ink's character design, Comyet likely intended to evoke themes of mobility, agility, and strength, while subtly referencing Japanese martial traditions and the samurai ethos. This choice enhances Ink's overall aesthetic, highlighting his dynamic, action-oriented nature, suggesting that his character is both rooted in tradition and capable of fluid, graceful movement.
The hakama was not merely a functional garment but also a powerful symbol of social status, loyalty, and the samurai's role in Edo society. While the hakama was predominantly worn by samurai, it also found its place in the wardrobe of scholars, priests, and members of the aristocracy, who wore it as part of their ceremonial dress.
Furthermore, Comyet has explained that Ink's outfit and appearance were partially inspired by the clothing worn by samurai, as depicted in ukiyo-e prints from the Edo Period of Japan. Ukiyo-e, which translates to 'pictures of the floating world,' was a popular genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished from the 17th to the 19th centuries, showcasing scenes of everyday life, landscapes, kabuki actors, and beautiful women. However, samurai were also common subjects of these prints, often portrayed in full regalia, highlighting their status and discipline.
Tumblr media
(this line of text was found within old versions of Ink's FAQ post, mainly from 2020-2021)
In these ukiyo-e representations, samurai are frequently depicted wearing a distinctive combination of garments, including elaborate kamishimo (formal attire worn by samurai), hakama (wide trousers), and haori (a kimono-style jacket worn over the kimono), along with ornate accessories such as sashes and swords. These samurai were often shown in dynamic poses, suggesting a sense of power, grace, and readiness for battle, which reflected their societal role as both warriors and landowners.
Ukiyo-e representations of samurai often carried deeper meanings beyond their visual impact. Samurai in these prints were more than just warriors; they were cultural icons, symbols of virtue, duty, and sacrifice. Some prints portrayed samurai in the context of popular stories or historical events, such as famous battles or legendary acts of heroism. For example, the prints often depicted samurai as loyal retainers or leaders fighting for justice, reflecting the ideal of bushidō, the samurai code of ethics, which emphasized virtues like loyalty, courage, and respect.
Tumblr media
(Ukiyo-e art made by Katsukama Shun'ei, Edo Period)
During the Edo period, the hakama was an important garment worn by the nobility as part of their formal attire, complementing other traditional outfits of the time, such as the noshi and kariginu, a sleeveless jacket with distinctive, sharply defined shoulders. These garments were designed to symbolize the status and refined taste of their wearers. The hakama, with its wide, flowing silhouette, was highly functional and practical, allowing for ease of movement while maintaining an air of elegance.
On another note, Ink's design is not the only aspect inspired by cultural roots, the musical themes associated with him also draw significant inspiration from traditional Japanese music, as described by Comyet. The incorporation of these musical elements into Ink's character enhances the depth and cultural resonance of his persona, creating a multi-layered and thematic representation to a broader cultural context.
A predominant theme associated with Ink is one called 'BrushWork.' This musical theme, featured in the popular series Underverse, shines through particularly with the use of the shamisen, a traditional stringed instrument, and a flute. The choice of the shamisen in this composition is significant, as it evokes the soundscape of Japan, with its distinct, plucked tones often associated with traditional music, storytelling, and performance arts.
The shamisen is a core instrument in genres such as kabuki (a traditional form of Japanese drama) and bunraku (puppet theater), where it is used to underscore the emotional intensity and narrative depth of the performances. In BrushWork, the shamisen helps set the tone for Ink’s character, enhancing the theme of 'brushwork' through its fluid, emotive sound.
Honorable mention: The instrumental video for ''Soulless Heart'', features an artwork that is inspired by traditional sumi-e (ink wash painting), an art form renowned for its elegant brushwork and minimalistic yet profound depictions of nature. This particular artwork, which accompanies the music, was created by the artist @/sakuramochi64.

As much as I'm falling in love with Blades in the Dark, I'm still trying to what makes for an ideal setting for it, as I've had a few false starts bore hitting something that works with my current weird western.
Here's what I've figured out:
1) Systems of power rotten through with corruption and exploitation. The current order is a house of cards held up only by injustice, compromise, and brutality... and it responds with EVEN MORE BRUTALITY when it's threatened. People with power need to be desperate to hold onto it and so are more willing to take risks to hold onto it, which presents opportunities for the players (and other groups) to act when that deathgrip opens cracks in the facade.
2) A particular claustrophobia when it comes to the factions. everyone is in someone's pocket, owes a debt, or knows a guy. Can't swing a dead bluecoat without knocking against three different factions and at least two of them hate you. While this doesn't necessarily mean you need to have everything happening in one city things need to be close enough together that the crew is stepping on someone's toes no matter where they go. This keeps the crew playing the game of politics, trading favours for alliances while constantly risking the wrath of those higher than them.
3) Vice as societal lubricant. Just like the crew needs vice to unwind from their capers, the setting needs flow of vice to keep the wheels of power turning, no matter how greasy they get or who gets crushed underfoot. The masses need distraction, the elites need excess, the industries need fuel, and the strange need power. This gives the crew endless opportunities to find someone who's buying what they're selling, or piss someone off after their antics interrupt the flow of commerce.
4) Enough is NEVER enough. An organizing principle of any world using Blades as a system is that no one ever has enough of what they need, and so is driven to desperate action in order to get it. Even those on top of the pyramid lack the control they desire (see point 1), and everyone they squeeze to get it finds themselves grasping for something else too. NPCs who are rich in any one thing should be hungrily lacking in something else, be it material resources or ephemeral things like recognition or inner peace. When the debt comes due, the crew always owes more than they can pay off, meaning they must take further risks to try and stabilize, forcing them to bite off more then they can chew each time.
5) The Clock is Ticking. Whether or not they know it, every time the crew goes through the setup/mission/downtime cycle they're getting closer and closer to something big happening. One of the city's long standing tensions boils over into outright conflict, someone important dies and leaves a mess for others to clean up, something well and truly weird happens and it throws the system into chaos. Sometimes the party will kickstart this chain of events themselves, but it's always a good idea to have at least one in your back pocket, that way if they play things safe you can spring the unexpected on them and knock them out of their predictable pattern.

Himato Leonardo, Age 18
××-××-××
Self modified shell and workings of the parasite may be too gruesome for certain groups, withholding highly sensitive documentary will result in the reader being rendered MISSING due to [REDACTED]
Upon contact of receiving the parasite the host [Leonardo] began experiencing pain beyond reasoning, the speed of the parasite reaching the hosts mind was remarkable. Taking only approximately 3.6 seconds for the parasite to reach the Frontal Lobes as well as parts of the Occipital Lobe, Parietal Lobe and Limbic System resulting in host going Farel, attacking any other potential hosts within range. Although, upon sudden high temperatures from the family ninpo due to [REDACTED] the parasite noticeably retreated to the hosts shell by accessing the cerebellum then traveling down through the brainstem and spinal cord.
Compared to previous host [Donatello], access to the current host[yours truly] sparked an interesting difference. While the previous host acted [REDACTED], the parasite acts more violently to its current host, spreading across the inside of the shell and swelling, applying roughly 650-660 pounds of force to the shell. Surpassing the pressure it'd take to crush a regular turtle shell, hypothesis states due to mutation our shells are more flexible than average, allowing us to twist and bend in ways that'd be unnatural/harmful to our unmutated counterparts, but causing extreme pain and discomfort for the host, applying pressure not only to the shell but to the internal organs as well. Putting the subject life at high risk, if not acted upon [REDACTED] resulting in life threatening damage and spread of the parasite to any nearby victims.
Immediate surgical action required.
_______________________________________
My additional research collected continues to impress my original beliefs.
With new additions added, the host has not only managed to contain the parasite but even weaponize it.
Self made cracks aided in the surgical process as well as preventing the parasite from destroying the shell worse than it has, leaving a peace of the shell in its original position assistance in leveraging the parasite, it also assist in the closing mechanisms added to the inners of the shell. Additional spinal support was added to prevent risks from having far more flexibly than the current host previously was capable of, as well as aiding in preventing the parasite from spreading and causing more problems with the use of ninpo running through the mechanical parts.
It hurts.
Due to the tech needing a constant flow of ninpo to prevent system failure and allowing the parasite to spread, ninpo will be very limited if in events of a battle. Unfortunately, constant access to regular temperatures leads to flu like symptoms, allowing the parasite to thrive and spread despite the ninpo mechanisms preventing it from swelling, acting more as damage control. The hosts shell is too damaged to be submerged, milkshakes and ice will have to assist in the prevention of spread.
Along in aiding with parasite control, the tech attached to the spine (somehow separated from the shell and is confined within the flesh of the parasite, as if it was carefully peeled off. Remarkably no damage found to anything vital.) Have flexible material that wrap around the bone and were very careful surgically attached to the spinal nerve, spinal cord and vertebrae to act as support and to prevent accidental damage, Acting as a theoretical shell in the meantime.
Flexible but strong material was bolted in along the inside of the host shell, acting as some kind of prosthetic allowing the host to open and close the shell at will. Still causes discomfort unfortunately.
More in depth description shall be provided [REDACTED]
Overall this surgery took approximately 12 hours. Rest is required.

🌙 Moon Men: The Ultimate Male Fantasy
Tumblr media
Before exploring the themes of Moon men, we must first understand the role of the nakshatras in the zodiac. In English, the word nākṣatra roughly translates to "that which does not decay," pointing to something timeless and beyond the reach of change. Unlike the material world, which is subject to constant flux and dissolution, the nakshatras, as the fixed stars, remain steady and embody the enduring essence of manifestation. They symbolize unchanging rta or universal order amid the shifting currents of cosmic activity. By offering a stable framework anchored in the heavens, providing an emphasis on divine principles, the nakshatra system allows for precise ritual and calendrical alignment, even as the positions of the Sun and planets continue to shift over time. This is why Vedic astrology maintains its reliance on sidereal calculations, despite extraneous factors like precession.
Unlike the rashis, which are solar in nature and express themselves through tangible resources and qualities of the material world, the nakshatras are lunar in nature. Rather than representing resources themselves, they reflect the management of those resources, the experiential dimension that shapes how we interact with the world. They are shakti, Parvati’s yoni for Shiva’s lingam. In this sense, the nakshatras are more personal than the rashis. For example, while Taurus, ruled by Venus, represents natural wealth and abundance in the world, it is through Krittika, Rohini, and Mrigashira that one becomes driven to engage with this wealth. Think about it: fruit without anyone to eat it has no experiential quality, no power or desire arising from external attachment. The rashi reveals the structure, while the nakshatra reveals the flow of prāṇa that is either projected onto or inherent within that structure. By understanding this, we begin to grasp the function and potency of the nakshatras and what they truly represent.
Tumblr media
__________________________________________
Now that the technical foundations are in place, we can begin to explore how certain nakshatras manifest. In the Vimshottari dasha system of Jyotish, each graha governs three nakshatras. In this post, I will focus specifically on the nakshatras ruled by the Moon, with particular attention given to the themes that arise in men influenced by these asterisms. The nakshatras ruled by the Moon in Vimshottari are Rohini, Hasta, and Shravana, though I will primarily focus on their shared expressions as revealed through their trikona (trinal) relationship rather than their individual qualities.
Across time and culture, certain male figures have captured widespread attention. These are the men who dominate the social landscape, holding attention and admiration simply through their presence, ascending to a position of power and influence that others can only dream of. They are the ones who rise above the ordinary and whose natural status seems unassailable. They possess a magnetism that draws people in, and their standing places them above reproach.
Some examples:
It is within this ideal that the ultimate male fantasy begins to take shape.
Few figures embody this archetype of allure and magnetism as much as Chandra, the Moon in Vedic mythology. Myths surrounding Chandra always portray a magnetic power that draws others in without ever striving for overt control. As a god, Chandra is not one to assert dominance in the traditional sense, nor does he seek to command the world through force. His power comes from his very presence, in the way he influences the world around him simply by existing. The Moon's light is gentle, in contrast to the harsh radiance of the Sun. It turns something overbearing into a more welcoming and soft reflection. His presence commands attention in a way that feels both effortless and inevitable, and this engenders desire in others. This can be seen in the way his favoritism toward Rohini stirred jealousy among his other 26 wives, leading him to be cursed. Yet despite the conflict he tends to provoke, Chandra never seems desperate to claim what he desires. His very existence elicits admiration, drawing people toward him without effort. Even his curse, which causes him to wax and wane, only serves to deepen his mystique. It’s this constant shift and this subtle ebb and flow that enhances his magnetic appeal. Chandra’s story is one of subtle dominance, where influence is exerted through an inherent presence of gentle power, an aura of being effortlessly seductive and magnetizing, never needing to strive for what he already commands through his intangible influence.
Tumblr media
We can also indirectly see the nature of Chandra through Vishnu's lunar incarnation: Krishna. Born into the Dvapara Yuga, an era of intense desire, struggle over wealth, and the pursuit of pleasure, Krishna moved through the world as someone whose charm and presence naturally pulled people in and elevated him to the position of authority with access to unparalleled pleasures of the era. Though his life was filled with complexity and contradiction, such as political turmoil, familial conflict, cosmic responsibility, he never lost the magnetic ease and sensuality that defined him.
From his earliest days, Krishna was adored. As a child in Gokul, his mischief and beauty captivated everyone, and as he grew, so too did the reach of his influence. The gopis of Vrindavan abandoned everything for a chance to dance with him under the moonlight. Radha, the soul’s deepest longing, became synonymous with his name because of the irresistible draw he created by simply being. As an adult, Krishna’s magnetism only intensified. He became a king, yet never ruled through fear or austerity. He had sixteen thousand wives. Yes, you read that right... sixteen THOUSAND. He did not acquire them through conquest or pursuit, but as women he liberated from captivity, who then chose to initiate a union with him. Despite the sheer number, each believed she held his full attention, each felt seen and cherished. His marriages echoed his ability to be everything to everyone, without appearing stretched or strained. Even Draupadi, though married to the five Pandavas, turned to Krishna in times of need. He was her protector, her confidant, the one whose presence alone brought reassurance and power.
Tumblr media
Krishna's battlefield role in the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita is yet another window into this lunar quality. He never picked up a weapon. Even though he possessed an unparalleled ability in combat, he vowed not to fight. And yet, he was still the most powerful force on the field. As Arjuna’s charioteer, he guided without command, advised without imposing, and altered the course of an entire war through speech, presence, and subtle intervention. He wielded no blade, yet even the gods deferred to him. Yet despite all of his well-meaning glory, Krishna’s life is filled with acts that invite contradiction. He lies, steals, teases, loves many, and yet remains beloved and exalted. His wrongs are not punished but rather celebrated as plays of divine mystery. The rules that bind others seem to fall away around him. This quality of being above consequence, of being endlessly desired even when he disrupts the status quo, mirrors the archetype formed by Chandra. It is not through aggression, control, or rigidity that he gains influence. Rather, it is through a natural charisma and a sense of being restrained that is so deeply rooted in his essence that it shapes the world around him without ever needing to assert itself. Generally, it's said that Krishna was born during the 8th day of the waning moon, on the 8th night of the dark fortnight of the month Shravana. His birth is also associated with the Rohini Nakshatra, where most accounts of his kundli place his Moon and Ascendant.
__________________________________________
Among all the nakshatras, those governed by the moon are the ones most preoccupied with artha, or material wealth. All three moon nakshatras are situated within the earth signs. The element of earth corresponds to artha, which is the dominant pursuit in the Treta Yuga. Artha is not financial gain, but the broader focus on stability, status, resources, and the means by which one maintains and enhances their position through control in the world. In its highest sense, artha is the structure that supports dharma. It is the foundation upon which right action and spiritual growth are sustained. A person without artha (without land, wealth, or social footing) finds it difficult to fulfill obligations, care for others, or pursue deeper meanings. Thus, artha is not seen to be the same as greed; it is a rightful engagement with the material plane. It is power with purpose. Yet artha also carries a shadow. When detached from dharma, it becomes an end unto itself, status for its own sake, accumulation without higher use. In such cases, the pursuit of artha distorts perception, causing one to identify too closely with the outer symbols of value rather than the inner worth they represent. To master artha is to master one's place in the world. Not to renounce it, but to wield it without attachment. The moon, always waxing and waning, teaches that no possession is eternal. One important thing to note about Artha is that is directly opposed Kama, which is the desire for sensual pleasures. The more pleasure one seeks, the more wealth they will expend, and the more one is focused on preserving their wealth in a miserly way, the less pleasures they will be granted from their status. A wealthy man who never spends his money is not treated like a wealthy man at all. Artha is the dance of holding and letting go, of rising in influence only to remember one’s impermanence and loss. Those who understand this move through the material world like kings whose thrones are made of mist, ever present, powerful, and yet unattached.
Tumblr media
When the energy is balanced, Moon men, gravitate toward artha not purely for luxury, but for security, belonging, and influence. They are the most loose with their wealth, so they constantly need to be attaining more to sustain their pleasure-seeking proclivities. This doesn’t only apply to money but also to social capital. The more someone is adored and respected, the more they can get away with. When the energy is imbalanced, Moon men will still seek artha, but their pursuit becomes detached from its original purpose. The accumulation of wealth, status, and influence becomes a form of self-definition, a way to assert their existence among others. What was once a means of securing one's place in an unforgiving world transforms into an obsession with control and image, where the lines between need and desire blur, and the pursuit of artha no longer serves a greater good but rather feeds an endless cycle of self-validation. As mentioned previously, their power lies in magnetic allure rather than force, and they draw wealth and status through visibility, favor, and social capital. This is especially evident in nakshatras like Rohini, where the pursuit of artha merges with beauty, charm, and sensual engagement with the world's abundance. This energy can be seen in multiple media examples where the conflict of the plot centers around accumulating wealth and power for various reasons, such as security, need for admiration, etc.
Tumblr media
__________________________________________
Now that we have an understanding of the Moon’s energy in its nakshatras, we can begin to observe how it manifests in modern media. Media offers a valuable lens for recognizing the subtle influences of a person's energy, especially since the nakshatras operate on a subtle, implicit level. With that in mind, I want to explore some portrayals that I think reflect the nature of moon men and show how the energy of the Moon nakshatras comes to life through them. Ok, so first we need to understand what men in general want because it precisely these projections that shape moon men into who they become. So what is it men fantasize about? Once we understand this, we are well on our way to seeing how moon men move in the world.
The first thing many men fantasize about is to be sexually desirable. While women share this longing as well, it’s far more common for men to have to pursue women, rather than the reverse. What men want is the sense of being wanted without having to try or care. They want to exist in a state where they don’t have to perform, where desire is offered freely, and they are irresistibly magnetic to a point where it’s expected for people to fawn over them for doing nothing. Men crave the ability to be effortlessly charming, highly desired by women, and envied by other men, yet without the need for commitment or effort. Moon men often get to experience this magnetic appeal, particularly during certain stages of their lives where the moon's influence is heightened. It’s at these points that they rise to become the ultimate "sex symbols," embodying the archetype of passive indulgence, a kind of allure that says “I’ll give you what you want, but you have to come and get it.” The Moon, being the most sensual of the planets, carries with it an attraction that is inherently sexual, sometimes leading to infidelity or the conflicts inherent to forbidden romance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the most evident ways this manifests is within the adult film industry, where Moon men are especially prevalent. Because they naturally draw more attention due to their sexual appeal, and they are focused on pursuing artha, their magnetic energy and widespread appeal can put them in situations where they use their attraction to make money. This can translate into a level of idolization in the adult entertainment world, where certain male porn stars or sec workers achieve a near-mythical status. The most famous and envied figures in the industry, such as Rocco Siffredi, Johnny Sins, Manuel Ferrara, Jason Luv, etc. are all Moon men. Their combination of sexual charism and effortless appeal resonates with male audiences, while their passive dominance and sensual passion appeals to female audiences, altogether making them icons in the world of adult entertainment as well as symbols of virility and unattainable sexual fantasy for many men.
Tumblr media
This can be seen in the media portrayal of Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights.
youtube
Along the same line of physical prowess and sexual desirability, men want to embody strength and dominance in a way that commands respect and admiration. It is less so about wanting to fight and more so about knowing they’ll be able to effortlessly dominate if they do. They want to be noticed for their impressive physicality and stature. Moon men capture this ideal well. They are in a lot of action hero, lone wolf type roles, where they are never the ones to antagonize but still draw in conflict. They are quiet, brooding, and unshaken. Their presence alone is a challenge. They don’t speak often, but when they do, people listen. They don’t go looking for trouble, but they carry themselves in a way that says they could end it if it came. Their strength is not just physical but psychological. They do not need to prove anything because their capability is obvious. In a world full of noise, they are still. In a room full of people, they command the air. It is like a football captain or sports star whose physical aptitude elevates his status. It’s the kind of physical ability that makes others look up to you and grants you additional social power. In this context, being at the peak of athletic or physical performance is an expression of superiority in both the literal and social senses. I think overall Moon men are more concerned with how easy and enjoyable life is from a position of high physical status. They care more about how they look and are driven to chase the aesthetics as a way to cement themselves a stronger position in society. They seem like they don’t care, but they do. It is not uncommon for them to be bullied or outcast early in life, so many of them are seeking social prowess as a way to cope with the lack of belonging or respect they experienced in the past. It is also sometimes the case that they will isolate themselves to avoid judgment. Yet even when they do that, they are functioning from an external locus of control.
Tumblr media
This gif is of David Laid. He was bullied for being skinny, so he started lifting not to fight but to be seen. Aesthetic bodybuilding gave him control. He wanted to be impressive, so he trained to change how people looked at him. The goal wasn’t to gain strength. It was about the visual, perceptive impact. His body became the answer to every insult and every time he was ignored. Now people can’t help but notice. He doesn’t need to act tough because he looks untouchable. What started as insecurity became his weapon. He built a body that speaks for him. Strong, captivating. It makes people look twice and automatically affords him a great deal of respect. It makes them want to be around him, love him, include him, and that’s all Moon men really want for themselves. Moon men tend to be very invested in self-improvement along with the obsession of being the best at everything.
A good example of how this looks together is the show Blue Mountain state
youtube
In line with the broader male fantasy of physical and social prominence, many men don’t want to chase or risk rejection. They want to be the gravitational center, drawing others in without having to prove themselves. They crave admiration without exertion, longing to be desired without having to reach. For Moon men, this is more than a fantasy; it is more often than not their lived experience. It is what they strive for, and in the case of many moon men, their presence alone becomes magnetic enough to invite attention, curiosity, and affection. They do not pursue as much as they attract. This passive allure is one of the most recognizable traits of Moon men. In relationships, they are in control and take on a more dominant role, always influencing things, but even so, they are rarely the ones to make the first move or to be the ones actually making decisions. While there are countless media examples that showcase this archetype, I’ll focus on just a few to illustrate how this dynamic plays out in narrative form. The important thing to pay attention to is that the Moon man is almost never the one trying to get someone else's attention or trying to pursue or dominate a woman (or man). The other person almost has to throw themselves at him or chase him down, and only then will he demonstrate his passion. Moon men are even partial to indulging the desires of those they have no initial attachment to. If someone pursues them, they kind of just go with it. They are very passionate and sensual, but this is not exclusive. Like the other Sattvic planets (Sun and Jupiter), Moon men are prone to giving of themselves indiscriminately, but because it is usually short-lived, it is much easier to sustain compared to something like Jupiter, which is all about union, commitment, and generosity. To think of it differently, the moon is like food, temporary but satisfying in its ability to nourish. Jupiter, on the other hand is like fat. It is protective and more lasting than food itself. Food comes and goes, but fat stays with you. It stores what is valuable. It prepares you for the future. The moon gives you what you need right now, while Jupiter ensures you’ll have enough later.
One example of this is Jack Reacher
youtube
Another example is Henry Cavill's Portrayal of Superman
youtube
You may be starting to notice another pattern in these examples. Each of these men carries a kind of freedom or superiority that places them outside the reach of ordinary consequences or limitations. They can feel that they do not have to answer to anyone, or even if they do that punishment won’t be that dire. This is not because they rebel against the system, but because they exist on the outskirts of it. Whether through wealth, charisma, status, luck, manipulation, or thievery, they have the ability to move through the world according to their own rules. This untouchability is part of their allure. They are not bound by expectations or emotional obligations in the same way others seem to be. Others naturally adjust themselves around these men without needing to be told. In this way, these men can feel above or exempt from the emotional negotiations and social rules that govern everyone else. This usually appears as quiet rule-breaking, con-artistry, underground criminal mischief, subtle disregard for rules, and an implicit belief that they are operating on an entirely different level that they become hedonistic and destructive.
I think hands down the best example for this is the show White Collar. Mirroring Chandra's curse, even though he is technically limited, it really doesn't make much of a difference in terms of the pleasures and luxuries he is able to enjoy. One important difference between sun and moon men is that sun men will steal and break rules out of necessity and a sense of justice, whereas men will steal and manipulate to get rich and because it brings them enjoyment. Moon men are good at it, and it’s fun for them.
youtube
Another good example is Catch Me if You Can. He can talk his way into anything, and the standard barriers just don’t seem to apply to him.
youtube
A recurring theme that begins to emerge with these examples is intelligence. Many Moon men are portrayed as brilliant minds, particularly as strategists, code-breakers, or hidden geniuses who see patterns others miss. Their intelligence is rarely loud or performative in real life, but in media, it gets hammered hard, with them frequently being portrayed as gifted geniuses and eccentric prodigies.
There are many examples I could give for this as well, from Imitation Game to Good Will Hunting to The Pretender

Ok, that's all that will fit into this post. Thank you for reading! My next post is goi in ng to be about their relationships and bonds.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what even are chakras?
chakras (from the sanskrit word cakra, meaning “wheel” or “disc”) are spinning vortexes of subtle energy that exist within your pranic body (also called the “subtle body”). they’re not physical organs, but energetic hubs where mind, body, and spirit meet.
chakras were described as energy centers (padmas, or “lotuses”) that store prana: life force, within the subtle body, which is different from the physical body.
this subtle body is composed of nadis (energy channels), koshas (layers of consciousness), and chakras (energy hubs).
the original chakra texts were written in sanskrit, and the most detailed source comes from the shat-chakra-nirupana, a 16th-century tantric text that laid out the seven main chakras and their symbolic, spiritual, and physiological associations.
they influence your thoughts, emotions, physical health, spiritual growth, relationships, and even your damn bank account.
when your chakras are healthy and flowing freely, your whole life aligns like sacred geometry. when they’re blocked or chaotic? expect spiritual lag, emotional glitches, physical illness, and endless chaos.
important to note:
in the original tantric system, chakras weren’t “self-care tools” they were maps to divine awakening used during intense yogic, meditative, and kundalini practices to transcend ego, illusion, and reincarnation. it was liberation tech, not lifestyle inspo.
but now, in this modern age of energy work, psychology, and soul evolution, the chakra system has become a universal template applicable to everyone, not just yogis. and we’re gonna fuse that original wisdom with real psychology, real healing, and real magic.
origin of the chakra system
• earliest references to energy centers show up in the Vedas (ancient hindu scriptures) around 1500–1000 BCE.
• the shat-chakra-nirupana, a 16th-century tantric text, outlined the 7-chakra system most people know today.
• the system was never meant to be aesthetic it was part of a serious spiritual practice to activate kundalini shakti, the dormant divine feminine energy said to be coiled at the base of your spine.
originally, chakra work was about liberating the soul from illusion (maya) and achieving moksha (spiritual liberation). but in today’s world, chakra healing can help you:
• release trauma + emotional baggage
• align with your highest self
• create energetic flow in your career, love life, and creative path
• experience divine connection + psychic expansion
how do chakras work?
imagine 7 power stations wired along your spine. each one governs a certain aspect of your physical body, emotional world, mental patterns, and spiritual connection.
when they’re:
• balanced → energy flows freely = peace, joy, purpose, radiance
• blocked → stuck energy = fear, fatigue, illness, toxic patterns
• overactive → too much energy = burnout, anxiety, ego overdrive
• underactive → not enough energy = apathy, insecurity, numbness

Excerpts:
"The convenience of instant answers that LLMs provide can encourage passive consumption of information, which may lead to superficial engagement, weakened critical thinking skills, less deep understanding of the materials, and less long-term memory formation [8]. The reduced level of cognitive engagement could also contribute to a decrease in decision-making skills and in turn, foster habits of procrastination and "laziness" in both students and educators [13].
Additionally, due to the instant availability of the response to almost any question, LLMs can possibly make a learning process feel effortless, and prevent users from attempting any independent problem solving. By simplifying the process of obtaining answers, LLMs could decrease student motivation to perform independent research and generate solutions [15]. Lack of mental stimulation could lead to a decrease in cognitive development and negatively impact memory [15]. The use of LLMs can lead to fewer opportunities for direct human-to-human interaction or social learning, which plays a pivotal role in learning and memory formation [16].
Collaborative learning as well as discussions with other peers, colleagues, teachers are critical for the comprehension and retention of learning materials. With the use of LLMs for learning also come privacy and security issues, as well as plagiarism concerns (7]. Yang et al. [17] conducted a study with high school students in a programming course. The experimental group used ChatGPT to assist with learning programming, while the control group was only exposed to traditional teaching methods. The results showed that the experimental group had lower flow experience, self-efficacy, and learning performance compared to the control group.
Academic self-efficacy, a student's belief in their "ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute academic tasks"
', also contributes to how LLMs are used for learning [18]. Students with
low self-efficacy are more inclined to rely on Al, especially when influenced by academic stress
[18]. This leads students to prioritize immediate Al solutions over the development of cognitive and creative skills. Similarly, students with lower confidence in their writing skills, lower
"self-efficacy for writing" (SEWS), tended to use ChatGPT more extensively, while higher-efficacy students were more selective in Al reliance [19]. We refer the reader to the meta-analysis [20] on the effect of ChatGPT on students' learning performance, learning perception, and higher-order thinking."
"Recent empirical studies reveal concerning patterns in how LLM-powered conversational search systems exacerbate selective exposure compared to conventional search methods. Participants engaged in more biased information querying with LLM-powered conversational search, and an opinionated LLM reinforcing their views exacerbated this bias [63]. This occurs because LLMS are in essence "next token predictors" that optimize for most probable outputs, and thus can potentially be more inclined to provide consonant information than traditional information system algorithms [63]. The conversational nature of LLM interactions compounds this effect, as users can engage in multi-turn conversations that progressively narrow their information exposure. In LLM systems, the synthesis of information from multiple sources may appear to provide diverse perspectives but can actually reinforce existing biases through algorithmic selection and presentation mechanisms.
The implications for educational environments are particularly significant, as echo chambers can fundamentally compromise the development of critical thinking skills that form the foundation of quality academic discourse. When students rely on search systems or language models that systematically filter information to align with their existing viewpoints, they might miss opportunities to engage with challenging perspectives that would strengthen their analytical capabilities and broaden their intellectual horizons. Furthermore, the sophisticated nature of these algorithmic biases means that a lot of users often remain unaware of the information gaps in their research, leading to overconfident conclusions based on incomplete evidence. This creates a cascade effect where poorly informed arguments become normalized in academic and other settings, ultimately degrading the standards of scholarly debate and undermining the educational mission of fostering independent, evidence-based reasoning."
"In summary, the Brain-only group's connectivity suggests a state of increased internal coordination, engaging memory and creative thinking (manifested as theta and delta coherence across cortical regions). The Engine group, while still cognitively active, showed a tendency toward more focal connectivity associated with handling external information (e.g. beta band links to visual-parietal areas) and comparatively less activation of the brain's long-range memory circuits. These findings are in line with literature: tasks requiring internal memory amplify low-frequency brain synchrony in frontoparietal networks [77], whereas outsourcing information (via internet search) can reduce the load on these networks and alter attentional dynamics. Notably, prior studies have found that practicing internet search can reduce activation in memory-related brain areas [831, which dovetails with our observation of weaker connectivity in those regions for Search Engine group. Conversely, the richer connectivity of Brain-only group may reflect a cognitive state akin to that of high performers in creative or memory tasks, for instance, high creativity has been associated with increased fronto-occipital theta connectivity and intra-hemispheric synchronization in frontal-temporal circuits [81], patterns we see echoed in the Brain-only condition."
"This correlation between neural connectivity and behavioral quoting failure in LLM group's participants offers evidence that:
1. Early Al reliance may result in shallow encoding.
LLM group's poor recall and incorrect quoting is a possible indicator that their earlier essays were not internally integrated, likely due to outsourced cognitive processing to the LLM.
2. Withholding LLM tools during early stages might support memory formation.
Brain-only group's stronger behavioral recall, supported by more robust EEG connectivity, suggests that initial unaided effort promoted durable memory traces, enabling more effective reactivation even when LLM tools were introduced later.
Metacognitive engagement is higher in the Brain-to-LLM group.
Brain-only group might have mentally compared their past unaided efforts with tool-generated suggestions (as supported by their comments during the interviews), engaging in self-reflection and elaborative rehearsal, a process linked to executive control and semantic integration, as seen in their EEG profile.
The significant gap in quoting accuracy between reassigned LLM and Brain-only groups was not merely a behavioral artifact; it is mirrored in the structure and strength of their neural connectivity. The LLM-to-Brain group's early dependence on LLM tools appeared to have impaired long-term semantic retention and contextual memory, limiting their ability to reconstruct content without assistance. In contrast, Brain-to-LLM participants could leverage tools more strategically, resulting in stronger performance and more cohesive neural signatures."

Welcome to the World! : A Starting Guide for Alters
This guide's purpose is to help either new formed/split, or those recently risen from dormancy, or the unregistered/unrecognized alters to get one step closer to functioning at the outside world!
It'll be one long rundown, click below to start right away, see you on the flip side.
From here on, what will be mentioned are things to assess some potential problems, questions, and self-discovery prompts. It is recommended to follow the flow of the guide, but if you necessarily need to skim to a certain section, this table of contents will help you:
table of contents
The beginning - Introduction
Things to look out for - potential problems to assess - Mobility - Gender & Species unalignment - World confusion
Starters - self discovery questions
How a system works - lite educative version
Closing - last notes + extra materials
The beginning
Nice to see you here, in the flip side! Now i know you have lots of questions on hand right now, and why you might be reading this as first thing's first; it's because i am here to help prepare yourself in many different aspects that cannot be learnt/figured out in such a short amount of time unless it is assisted with an experienced person.
If you haven't know what's going on up to this point, along with the kind of situation you're in, first off, you're a system.
Yes, thats right, system is a word for a collection of many parts within one body and you are also a part of it. This can mean you'll hear other kinds of accent inside head, and feeling + liking fully different things, as well as possessing different levels of certain skills and memory. More or less, this belongs to the qualities of a Complex Dissociative Disorder,, where there are types like DID, OSDD, Polyfragmented, etc.
This happens because of how dissociation can wall up barriers between other facets of yourself that stops some level of communication or complete it's integration when bad things happen in early years, leaving them mainly separated and self-autonomous; they're known as 'alters' but i personally love calling them as 'parts' or some might go with words like 'headmates' or 'facets' or even 'members'.
This isn't enough to explain the disorder itself, but i hope it suffices in explaining your situation! Feel free to check some extra system details if your gang has one, let's get to the next section.
Things to look out for
Just a quick warning and a reminder, if you are rather new or have not been actively out,, there is a high chance of having issues with limb coordination, control, and balancing. Other than that, the off-putting sensations you feel such as wrong type of species, height, gender, or even the world being foreign from how you perceive it can make things scary and overwhelming.
Fear not, as i also have the solutions for all these:
Handling poor mobility: First off, take a good moment to recognize your length of the arms, legs, learn the shape of your palm and fingers, and to every corners of your body. Start holding some simple objects like mugs or pens, remember how it feels to grab something with your fingers and gauge your grip strength, experimenting when you squeeze or loosen it. Then start interacting with the objects with both your hands, attempt to twirl it, or hold it in different positions and turns. You can also go for a test walk and sway all your joints to get a better picture of your movement range, practice makes perfect in easing your balance and momentum, it is normal to stub or be wobbly or clumsy at first, so take it easy okay?
To manage unalignment: It is hard to feel comfy if it is not the right height, especially for non-human aligned parts, so using props or any equipment or accessories can give you some sense of comfort (you can even walk on toes if you do need to feel a bit more tall, but don't over do this). Since fully eradicating this is impossible, doing anything in your power to lessen the discomfort is the best thing you can do,, there are also phantom limbs which basically means the extra body parts you identify with does not exist. This can be remedied by applying some gentle pressure to think that it is attached to your main body or use your imagination to satisfy that missing limb. for those not being aligned with the gender, if the body is feminine but you are masculine; try investing or search for a binder. If a binder is out of reach, wearing oversized, or baggy clothes, or hoodies will do the trick. And a boyish clothing style and short hair style if possible too. If its masculine in a feminine instead, using more girly oriented clothing style and do your nails, or any activities that affirms feminine aligned gender. I am very sure there are silicon chest pads but not in terms of where it is being sold at, so try to find them if it's available in your area. When neither and is androgynous instead, try searching for gender neutral clothes that are also neutral colored like grey/black/brown. There are many inspirations of this type of fashion so use the internet to gain inspirations on making your own androgyny look, you could even use make up to contour your shape of face. Now, for the ones who walk in hind-legs, get some platform heels/shoes/sandals/boots. You can find a flat one or the slanted one to match your needs. The idea is the slanted part of the shoe and the thick base gives an impression of canine/feline foot balance and for those who have hooves, respectively. (honestly, paw printed socks will do too, i hope) And to manage claws, or fangs, try using fake nail art of your color, or attach a fake vampire teeth guard, respectively. For symbolic means, you can even consume foods that are juicy and red, like meat cooked in medium,, or if you want the more vegan option: watermelons, or gummy that represents meat or grubs or just by being red to represent blood. Lastly, for the avians who have a pair of flaps--multiple wings, or in unusual spots (arm, face) can be eased by applying constant pressure points (any adhesive and items like tape, cotton, band aids, tissue, or plastic wrap) or a cloak/mantle/loose jacket or vest can give you that comfortable enshrouded sensation that comes with wings. Making flap sounds from cloth or any fabric will also give you a stable sense of input for having a 'functional' one, although phantom.
Getting used to the world Start learning how technology works--phone, laptop, kitchen tools, vehicle if any, and anything else that are often used. Make sure you practice enough to easily operate them, and learn how to use the internet and helpful plural apps or websites such as Lighthouse or start using Simply Plural. Try many foods to enhance culinary awareness, identify lots of other objects and the geography of your area to navigate and understand better. Touch many kinds of materials to train your sensory processes. You could also invest in watching shows and try a variety amount of activities to deepen your understanding of life. Explore different kinds of subject that you are particularly interested on, and lastly, never be afraid to do and try new things! This will guarantee you to seamlessly function with anything the world has to offer.
For starters - Self Discovery
Do you have a name?
do you what's your age?
What's your gender?
What are your pronouns?
Do you remember anything, and how much?
Do you seem to retain some past knowledge?
Can you describe what you look like? (Includes species)
Do you find the outside world familiar or foreign?
Can you state your bio name, family, or any important info?
Is it possible to describe yourself identity/vibe wise? (crucial part to tell apart fragments from splits and from holders that do not embody a personality)
What role could you fit as? (a host, protector, etc. Search for alter roles)
Do you like the outside world? Will you have a chance of being out more often? (to gauge how often one will front)
Have any likes and dislikes or preferences/hobbies?
For the bullet points you couldn't answer, take this as a sign to start searching! It will take some time, but you can ask help from anyone and even me when needed.
How a system works
A system works in communication (be it internal or external) and switches that also often have a specific trigger to call out someone else. Sometimes, though not a must, will have an innerworld that facilitates as a place for everyone to meet and interact.
These things are crucial for cooperation, because you'll definitely need that in order to navigate the world and adapt accordingly.
Communication
There are many kinds of communication styles, sometimes a mix of some or have all of the above,, whatever style you have, make sure to use it to the maximum. There are: via images, via abstract vibes, via emotions, or via direct (verbal) internal thoughts. Some do not have any internal communication, so external ones would be things such as keeping notes or write in a diary or any app for text editing.
Keep in mind that the clarity of communication fluctuates due to various factors, stress as one of them. So it is important to know that it will not work in a constant 100% at all times, use this awareness to strategize if, somehow, you have lost contact with the others.
Trigger & Switches
It is something that elicits a feeling that belongs to a part, which in return, can 'wake' or call one to co-con or front. There are negative and positive charged triggers, and i suggest you to explore what are your potential triggers.
The relationship with trigger and switches is, depending on how strong it is, can cause a switch to happen, where you will be swapped out by another one who got 'called' upon. This mechanism is for adapting to different kinds of situations, and these certain triggers are the key to ensuring the right part handle it's respective job as needed.
Switches can be very subtle, or slow, or obvious, or in a snap. This fully depends on how your system is made to handle problems on hand or when in stress, as sometimes it can cause rapid-switching, or the opposite, being stuck or locked in front. Sometimes, they also cause physical symptoms.
System terms - Basics
Fronting - the alter who has full control of the body, and performing tasks. Co-front - the alter, who have awareness between the outside and inside world, as well as able to control the body though not as complete as the fronter. Co-conscious - the alter who have awareness of the outside world, and spectates, and does not have any direct control of the body. Passive influence - when an alter's specific traits or likes/dislikes leaked to others and/or at front, that changes the initial reaction to be more blended with the other one. E.g. A like fries, B is there and likes spicy sauces. So now, A is craving to eat the fries with something spicy, even if A has no interest when it comes to spiciness or sauce.
For closing
Practice makes perfect, this is everything you need to know to hone your knowledge before finally stepping outside with complete freedom, where you can start anywhere you'd like, and to resume your collective's path to functionality and well-being. It's okay if things didn't go well at first try, and remember to reach out to people who you could trust as it'll help you progress faster!
I am aware that this guide still have a lot of room for improvement, so any requests or feedback will be added here for future viewers! This guide will be subjected to constant updates with even more sections being discussed on, or added touch of details. I will also add on my own posts here to serve as additional knowledge that is related to this topic:

Elon Musk tightens grip on gov’t, sparking ‘coup’ accusations
In the two weeks since US President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Musk, the head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has upended the federal bureaucracy, prompting questions about the scope of his authority and warnings of a constitutional crisis, or even a coup. Acting without oversight of the US Congress, Musk’s lieutenants have brought the work of the US’s main foreign aid agency to a halt, flagged millions of government employees for redundancy, gained access to classified material and sensitive details about millions of Americans, and taken control of the payment system that manages the flow of trillions of dollars of government spending. Musk, who was named as a “special government employee” by the White House on Monday, does not hold elected office and is not part of Trump’s Cabinet, whose members require confirmation by the US Senate.
[...]
Michael J Gerhardt, a professor who specialises in constitutional law at the University of North Carolina School of Law, said that Musk’s influence over the government was undemocratic and possibly unconstitutional. “This is perhaps the first time ever someone from outside the government has been so openly given free rein within,” Gerhardt told Al Jazeera. “There is no mechanism for keeping Elon Musk in check.” “He has whatever power Trump lets him have,” Gerhardt added. “Given his position, the only bounds on his authority is Trump himself.”

Arcane: morals, challenges and Vi's role in season 2
This is an offshoot of a discussion with @animexam09 where I went off topic/down my own line of thinking in a way that didn't have that much to do with the original post (I think the questions in that discussion are a lot more about the Watsonian/internal way the characters perceive their situation and I want full on Doylist/meta).
I want to clarify what I mean when I say Arcane is not About morals.
To me it feels like morality is fundamentally not a topic or a theme in Arcane. I often stumble across discussions wherein people are upset about “character X did the right thing, why didn’t she get the cookie?” or “character Y did the wrong thing, why didn’t she get punished?” (often with the implication: that must mean the show thinks that Y did is good and it is promoting bad values)
I often feel like this is the wrong angle to watch the show from. Because imo Arcane is not a morality tale. And I think this mostly comes from the elements of tragedy that it has.
People are good or do good, but bad things happen to them. Because tragedy.
1.) I think structurally Arcane as a show is more interested in a concept of cause and effect. In characters and what happens to them.
This is the whole blueprint of the show. Characters do something and it starts a cascade of effects that are often unintended and vastly disproportionate.
You can still tell a moral story from that. Like “and that dear kids is why you should think about the consequences before you do something” or “now you see that you cannot control the world, but only your reaction, the correct way to deal with it is to accept change and go with the flow”.
But I think the writers weren’t interested in that. IMO it makes more sense to picture the Arcane writers as mad scientists who like pouring different reagents together to see what happens. Or who like to set up marbles to roll down a hill and bump into each other.
There is this interview with Alex Ye where he says that for season 1 they had a blueprint for every arc about how every character should have a want (ie Vander wants to protect Vi, Powder wants to prove herself, Silco wants revenge on Vander) and by the end of the arc they get what they want but in a horrifically “not how I wanted it” way. This logic applies equally to “good” and “bad” characters, violent or innocent ones. Being “good” or “doing the right thing” doesn’t protect you, because the writers think things going wrong is more dramatically interesting. They are interested in setting up characters with interesting parameters (“This is Vi, she is protective”, “this is Caitlyn, she is smart but sheltered”, “this is Silco, he thinks he would do anything to achieve independence”, “this is Powder, she’s smart, but insecure”) and seeing them challenged.
They want to see challenge, they want to see characters bouncing against problems and other characters and they want to see fireworks. (and I think that is intensely fitting if you consider the source material is a video game that specializes in trying to set up interesting duels/small scale fights and interesting mechanics, ie counterplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRBcjsOt0_g )
(I actually wonder if this might have been what accidentally attracted some more leftist leaning people. That the fact that so blatantly unfair and disproportionate things happen to people maybe makes it feel like it’s a story that emphasizes systems over individual personal choices. And people are shocked that the show neither followed the pattern of “the positive personal choices pay off in the end” nor “we are setting up those systems and rules the world works on to criticize them and smash them” instead of “they just thought these rules and systems were a cool biotope to create crazy experiments in, to facilitate interesting looking explosions”. One of the biggest underlying topics in left versus right discourse is about systems versus individuals. Can you just pull yourself up by your bootstraps, do your choices matter or is the system stacked against you. To portray a system where individual well meaning choices don’t matter because “the system” (the writers) screws them over anyway could ring back to this fundamental conflict)
(In regards to the writers, I think it also helps there to remember that Arcane in a lot of ways is structurally a fanfiction, that those characters existed and had a feel and a look and a vibe before Arcane came about. That could contribute to this feelings of “I pick this pre-existing elements and watch them go”)
2.) The writers still have morals and values
Of course the eternal topic is that even if you didn’t set up to write a morality play, writers still inherently bring in their morals. People’s worldviews still influence what they think make an interesting or logical setup or what they think is a realistic cause and effect.
Like for example if you as a person think that acting aggressive with people with make them most likely hate you or impress them or make them fall in line. Or whether you think “Rich people are smart and resourceful” or “rich people are greedy and mean” or “rich people are dumb and lazy” is a realistic portrayal. Even “life is complex/there’s variety everywhere” or “all people think they are the heroes of their own story” are again people taking some sort of stance on the world.
So the writers values are always going to seep in and affect which “laws of the universe” they choose (even though they probably think they are just picking generally recognized, universal laws of reality or of fiction writing).
3.) The characters themselves still have morals
Various characters in the setting still have morals. But I think the writers are more interested in things like showing different moral systems and letting them clash and challenging them in different ways. By setting up characters with different character traits and feeling out with how they handle the challenge to their world views and morals.
And again, these writers are more interested in how characters deal with their own failures. That’s why almost all characters who have a moral system (and are important enough to have screen time) stumble and have to recover from their stumble.
For what it’s worth, when somebody like schnee seeks a consistent theme across all stories, I don’t think they are necessarily obsessed with a “X did the right thing, so X gets the cookie” point of view. Themes an be both intentional (like Arcane’s obsession with parallels) and unintentional (because the interests and values of the writers can bleed into the text by accident). Just because I think “these writers care about challenge and explosions” is the better consistent theme of their writing doesn’t mean you can’t gleam other themes. Or that themes can’t be derived from that (ie if you are fundamentally believe that characters being challenged is interesting then characters who handle change and challenge might be advantaged over characters who struggle with their values being tested or fall apart when that happesn).
I think the writing cares more about these moments of challenge. Silco didn’t really “win”, but he seemed like he died happy because he had reached a moment of personal realization. Ekko mostly stayed true to himself and can gleam satisfaction from that, because he seems like the kind of character who would gleam satisfaction from that. Caitlyn stumbled in her morals, but withdrew and overall seems to handle her own faltering with comparable stoicism (again comparable). Viktor mostly fucked up his big plans to improve the world, but didn’t handle it well at all, but was to some extent salvaged by the person who cares about him. IMO Arcane is more satisfying if you can get into the moments where the characters get personal satisfaction with something that fits their personality, even if it’s temporary or internal.
Challenge, Explosions and what that means for Vi
IMO finishing the series meant that they had to marry their “set up characters and watch them get challenged” with a traditional ending of some sort.
Season 2’s structure was already faltering imo because I think the writers wanted to get in a lot of challenges and moments for their faves because they knew it wouldn’t keep going. And at the same time, in act 3 they were trying to bring the big explosions. Jayce having to fight his best friend Viktor to them is a challenge and and explosion. Caitlyn and Vi finally sleeping together is an explosion. Rigid, violent Noxus fighting chaotic Zaun is an interesting explosion. Caitlyn and Mel facing down Ambessa is an explosion both physical and emotional.
Various people have pointed out that if one of Arcane’s themes is change and Vi doesn’t like or do well with change, that makes her the natural enemy of the story and might put her in a losing position.
I also wonder if on some level the writers already felt “done” with Vi. That they had already challenged her in all the ways they were interested in.
The season 1 finale was the emotional and philosophical confrontation of Vi and Jinx. Followed by the physical confrontation in Act 1 of season 2. Vi is then challenged once more to trust Jinx and lower her weapons in front of Warwick. I think for many people it feels like things fizzle out for her after that.
Which doesn’t mean that Vi isn’t still challenged (trusting Caitlyn/handing herself over to Ambessa is another challenge). And the writers might think of her sleeping with Caitlyn as the final “challenge”.
I do think that there weren’t a ton of ways for the writers to top the emotional and physical confrontations she already had with Jinx. And I don’t doubt that every Vi fan will at this moment cry out that they could think of 20 more scenarios of how Vi could have been challenged (and thusly maintained her position as the lead chararacter). And I agree.
Top of my head, there’s obviously the emotional challenges. Ie, going back to her prison time, her parents, being morally challenged by Ekko.
If they wanted a more physical challenge, it’s hard, arguably impossible to beat Jinx versus Vi. The only candidates of even coming close would have been a more visceral, physical confrontation with Caitlyn or Warwick. And we get small versions of that, but I think most people would agree that those don’t go all out. They don’t have the emotional weight they could have had and they don’t feel like they go all out like Jayce versus Viktor in 2x08 or Caitlyn versus Ambessa in 2x09.
IMO that was probably intentional. They could have gone there, but they didn’t want to, because they didn’t want these relationships to go that way or didn’t want to handle the fallout/the recovery.
Overall season 2 to me leaves me with a feeling like maybe they thought they had done the challenges for Vi they were interested in and wanted to “fan out” in the sense that other characters gets the biggest or most interesting challenges and that left Vi feeling a bit lost in the shuffle. (and I think there’s a good chance that in their head the Vi and Caitlyn sex scene felt like the final challenge/the final explosion, so to them there’s one for her in each act)

Author Of Your Tale!
Tumblr media
No matter how old you think you are or you may be, if you have no idea or no record of birth as is the case in certain areas and regions, you are still a child of the divine force, Divine Spirit which created, maintains and sustains all life and existence, and hence you retain a childlike nature, one of curiosity and adventure, belief and trust in the divine will, process and timing of your life and life experiences. That's if you know and understand this simple truth, as truth though being available to everyone, isn't caught by everyone except those who are ready for it in their life and life experiences, they have made the conscious choice and decision to accept responsibility for their life and life experiences, for their choices and what happens to them. Life gives you the opportunity to create and make your life and life experiences, whatever you want and desire it to be but then there are consequence for every decision and choice you make, knowingly or unknowingly, consciously or unconsciously and there is no escape from it because it's a law of life and a law of spirit, infallible and immutable.
The mind cannot readily distinguish between a thought in your head and what goes on in the world around you, it responds to imagined dangers with the same urgency and clarity of sense and purpose as real ones, not understanding the difference between them and it clings to hopes or regrets or appropriate emotions as if they were physical objects. This is because thoughts and emotions, your environment and  surroundings, and the events and circumstances of your life and life experiences, are processed through the same sensory systems of the body, thereby blurring the boundary and lines between what is internal and real and what's is external and not real. In many cases, what causes your distress or the negative emotions you feel is not the circumstance itself, but the thoughts the mind produces, the mind's interpretations and assumptions layered with fear, anxiety and expectation, or desire. People often fear their own thoughts more than the actual event or circumstances, and this fear eventually manifest as their life and life experiences. The mind creates projections of events and circumstances, what can or could happen, what shall or should have happened, what may never happen or shouldn't happen and it responds to all these mental constructs as if they are real and true. As a result, people often find security and joy in external structures, like friendships, love connections and relationships, wealth and fortune, materiality and material possessions. These become your anchors for identity, but this external anchoring is fragile and doesn't last long, and as soon as the environment shifts, so does your sense of self and self direction.
Before the reward, there must be labor, planting, maintaining and finally harvesting in that order, so you plant before you harvest. Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap especially after a hard and tedious labor, rather judge by the seeds that you plant and what you eventually harvest, and ultimately the blessings and prosperity that becomes yours. Truth is the easiest thing in the world to lose and yet it is the hardest thing in the world to get back when it is lost. When you can't control what's happening around you and in your life and life experiences, then challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what's happening. Let people do what they need to do to make themselves happy, mind your own business and do what you need to do to make yourself happy too. Understand that life is a succession of lessons which must be lived out, experienced and  understood before you can move to the next stage of your life and life experiences. When you strive to become better than you are, everything around you becomes better too, moving with your flow and energy.  Life doesn't have to be perfect for it to be wonderful, it is wonderful at every and all given moments of your life and life experiences, by virtue of your existence and the gift of life itself. Your dreams do not come true just because you dream them, desiring and aspiring them to come true, they come true by your effort and work. Everything works out as long as you believe in it, the divine will, process and timing. You have the capacity to create and manifest, endure and overcome endure, transform and realize everything you have ever wanted and needed, no matter what your present life situations and conditions are.
You are where you are today as a result of the choices you have made, adjust your decisions to get where you want to be and manifest. Every human being is unique and different, so be you to your fullest potential and don't try to be a copycat or to be someone else. Don't get discouraged when the going is tough as eventually it gets better,  the ending paving the way for new and happy, wonderful and exciting beginnings. Do not live entirely on what you have been told by the society and the world at large, rather be guided by your inclinations and intuition, your  tendencies and belief and remain true to yourself. Your are the writer, sculptor, painter and designer of your life and life experiences, your tale begins and ends with you so you decide what happens and how it's going to play out. Be bold, brave and adventuresome, and break free from the sea of sameness all the time, try to do things differently. You don't have to be perfect to be enough, you are more than enough as you are and you are amazing with all your beautiful imperfections, flaws and warts.
You must make your dream a priority in order for it to become the course trajectory of your life and life experiences. What seems to you to be bitter trials and tribulations, challenges and problems, troubles and issues of life are blessings in disguise, they create the opportunity to see, know and understand who and what you truly are. You find that you are a Magnificent Being of pure Light and Love and vibrate and project this love to the world and to all creation. Adventure is the bridge between dreams and reality, they make your dreams come true. So when you walk across that bridge of adventure, you can explore the unknown and uncover hidden wonders and truth that have been hidden from you. With every step, you move closer to the attainment of your dreams and desires,  ambitions, objectives and goals. Adventure is your creating and writing the tale of your life and life experiences, giving you the courage to take risks and make bold decisions that help shape your destiny. You won't know what you are capable of if you don't try. Things will always work out no matter what you are going through at the moment, so don't resist and don't fight it just move with the flow trusting that everything will be fine and that you will be taken care of.
Life is rooted in new beginnings and phases, each stage or phase that you enter might require reformation and transformation, patience and preseverence but you will find yourself blossoming into fresh new and better version of yourself along the way. Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, and start becoming  excited about what could go right and the joy, bliss and wonder of amazing things that are coming in the way of your life and life experiences. Remember that you don't have to see the whole staircase before moving but believing and trusting in divine process and timing, shows you the path every step of the way. When you are stressed and exhausted, you can control your focus, attitude and emotions but not the event of your life and life experiences, so you can stay charged and on course when the going gets tough. What you focus your attention on will determine the  outcome of your life and life experiences, so don't waste your time looking back on what you've lost, rather forge ahead and make every moment count. Keep moving for life is not meant to be travelled backward only forward, expecting nothing but the best. Self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards greatness and success, and finally you have discovered it because you have learnt to stay connected to the divinity within you, your Higher Self which is your authentic self waiting to connect with you and show you the truth about yourself and which you now know. The best moments happen when you least expect them to, so stay on course and create the most beautiful, wonderful and amazing tale of your life.
