loooong, positive (but bittersweet) essay about our system and the hulk:

the nice thing about being a system where each part is so different from each other is that we have at least one guy who can take care of something . also, it’s given us the privilege to have the brain space to handle a very wide breadth of interests and specialties that we keep up with consistently as alters front .

i absolutely don’t like the circumstances that caused us to form the way we did . the worst part of the circumstances is that giant hole in our chest that nothing can fill , and figuring out whether it’s because we keep pushing away anything that tries to come in or if it’s because the hole just grows no matter how it’s treated .

do i wish those circumstances didn’t take place? yes, but also, i’m grateful that we found a way through . i think what also helps us is that we’ve known nothing except those circumstances from infancy, so we have the privilege of seeing a better youth as an unattainable ideal than a blessing long gone . “better” meant numbness , moments where nothing happened .

even if the path we forged through the years is an ugly one, it’s still a path and it’s helped us function in human society more than anything else . especially the alters that socialize , that help others , that are able to do that , that have it in them to do that because they are supported by the system members designed to handle our own baggage .

there are alters who hate the world because of trauma but it’s because of them that the alters who love the people in it exist . our anger holders give the rest of us the capacity to deal with other things , to have the energy do things that we want , like supporting others while having a temporary pause on our own triggers and struggles . it’s like temporarily getting the ability to walk on water to extend a helping hand, temporarily able to ignore a giant flood wave just about to crash over you . if i could , i would just never be affected by our own baggage again so that we could never get frustrated and anxious with people for using us for help

i don’t like seeing people suffer but helping them out of that suffering opens up a lot of old wounds . like plunging your hand into a den full of harmful bacteria while it’s still recovering from semi-open lacerations . it’s our anger holders that allow us to ignore the pain .

anyways … without hulk , banner was shown to not want to help people . from the outlook of my system , it seems like banner is unable to help people without the hulk because he, as one identity, cannot handle the weight of … well , all the circumstances that caused his system to form . banner has expressed several times that he has a desire to help people, a lot of his healing arcs are he and hulk learning to coexist so that they can help ppl with their abilities … oagh … and he fears hurting others and just turning into something so aggressive that represents his emotions , an involuntary reaction to his circumstances , but that is the farthest thing from what he wants and IS as a person , a person who wants to help …

hulk is often interpreted as “banner losing control” but in actuality … hulk is KEEPING banner from losing control … protecting banner from involuntarily becoming the opposite of what he wants .

give it up for all anger holder protectors , they’re fr doing God’s work . because oh my god i cannot imagine dealing with … everything … all by myself … like omg … because i know i could not have survived if i dealt with all this by myself . my system did not make me lose the core identity, the whole system IS the core identity because it’s the only thing that could have possibly existed in the very questionable childhood we had . moreover, the system at least allowed us to exist in the present day as SOMETHING . it’s again not the prettiest form of existence but im so grateful that i have multiple people here with me … even the alters who scare me , honestly , even they hold a portion of the trauma that would be impossible to survive . their taunting and triggering behavior is at least coming from them , and not on my own volition , which is comforting to know .

arlo (he’s part of our system, the anger holder protector in question) if you read this later, we all love you so much . you’re our hulk fr <3 we are so so grateful . i’m sorry that i’m so scared and moreover ASHAMED of getting angry , because it makes you feel like we’re ashamed of you . thank u for giving many of us the blessing it is to have the energy to help people

Dear marvel readers; I’m just now starting to feel a little more confident and comfortable writing, so please bear with me 😭🙏🏻 but anyways this is an OC reader and is female….just an heads up. This is going to be an actual story so there will be multiple parts, i have no clue on how often ima do more chapter’s because i’m homed schooled, i do taekwondo, and work evenings to night shifts, so if your reading this keep an eye out please🫤.

Chapter 1 - the beginning.

Megan, get up you have school!!!!

Meg get up! I hear both my mom and my brother yell.

I’m up i’m up, what is it with everyone yelling at 6:00 in the morning?!?

As i drag myself out of bed i realize just how sore i am from yesterday’s boxing lesson, you know maybe getting boxing lessons from someone who just wants to hurt people instead of help them learn isn’t the best option. I say out loud as i was getting dressed.

Once i get into the kitchen to make my breakfast and get coffee i hear my step dad complaining again.

Pete please not this early in the morning! I look over to my brother whose sitting on the couch just watching tv.

Me: Hey, bruh!

Brother: Huh? Oh what’s up?

Me: Do you mind taking me to school today? Looks like mom won’t be able too, considering she’s arguing with Pete….again.

Brother: Sure thing, do you need to leave now?

Me: Preferably if you don’t mind.

Brother: *gets up* Not at all just let me grab my keys real fast.

Me: Aya captain! *cue salute*

I grab my backpack and everything i need for my first day of school, even though its mid way through the first semester, we moved here not too long ago, and my mom didn’t want me home all the time even tho thats the definition of homed schooled.

Alrighty bambi you ready to go? I hear my brother say.

Bambi? Really? And yes i am.

Walking home alone in the dark, from a place that has an population of people that like to hurt kids who walk alone! And no for your information i did not start any of the fights, i finished em but I didn’t start the fights.

I tell him and when I didn’t hear anything i just turned my head to the window. As we arrive at my school, i look over at chris.

I’m sorry.. but please don’t tell the parents. Please.

What the pixe dust… why is everything destroyed?! I think to myself when i see inside the school.

Hey kid move out of the way!! Get out of here! I hear a person say. I turn to the voice to see two guys one wearing a American flag all over him and the other with a bow and arrow.

Uhm..so no school? I say.

Get ou- what? They both looked at me like i was crazy.

The school is being attacked and your worry is if there’s school?! The guy with the bow and arrow asked.

Well no, today is my first day here, and i really don’t want to get an lecture from my family..

Why would you get a lecture- the guy wearing the American flag outfit began to ask when something comes flying to me from behind.

Before he could do anything i duck and it goes into the wall.

Well obviously, what are you doing?

No you need to get out of the school before it goes down hill anymore than what it is. I ignore who ever said that and I realize that it came from the building.

We all look at each other and the America guy hits the side of his ear.

Avengers, we need to get out of here the building is about to collapse! Yes everyone is out.

Alright kid, Hawkeye lets get out.

Where would be the best way to get out? I’m going to assume the guy with the bow and arrow name is Hawkeye asked.

The door…? Said America man right as wood collapses in front.

I walk up to the window realizing its also blocked.

What about the vents? I know its nasty and all but would it work? Americaman said.

Lets go! Alright kid common-

Welcome back to the world of the living! I open my eyes to see a random man staring at me.

AH WHAT THE MEDUSA’S SNAKE?! I practically yell.

OUCH! Is all i hear along with a groan and multiple laughs.

Thor we told you not to do that! I hear a woman say.

But you didn’t listen… i hear a other women’s voice.

I sit up but immediately regret it as everything is hurting.

Where am i?

American man- your at the Avengers tower. You were blasted with electricity so we took you back here and Bruce fixed you up.

American man… i mumble

My..Mom..is..going..to..kill..me! Crap i gotta get home!

Hey hey its okay, we called your parents.. the school’s principal provided your dad’s number!

Lets go! Pete says and i reluctantly get up and walk with them out side to their car, once i get in their car is when the ear fulls started.

Oh my please not this again! I thought to myself.

Me and your mother had enough of your fighting, you will go live with your uncle! Pete yells in my face.

I look at him. Why doesn’t MY mom tell me that, you know instead of the step dad who doesn’t give a shit about us.

Megan your going to live with your uncle end of discussion. My mom says quietly i look over at my bio dad.

I’m sorry meg but i’m not fit to be looking after you… my dad say’s he then gets in his car and drives off.

And neither is your mother you know the amount of health issues she has! I hear pete say.

Well she wouldn’t have that much if you wouldn’t use her as a punching bag….i mumble.

What was that?! Nothing nothing at all.

Mom… fine i will live with my uncle take a responsibility off your list. Was the last thing i said before i put my ear buds in and ignore em.



Back at the AVENGERS Tower.

Steve’s pov:

Steve: Her Dad looked familiar…

Tony: Steve you think a lot of people look familiar.

Thor: My nose still hurts! I hope her hand is okay!

Nat: I’m pretty sure it is.

Wanda: The real question is are you okay?

Thor: Yes i am.

Clint: Okay, so are we just gonna ignore the kid’s reaction to seeing her family? She looked annoyed, shocked, and terrified.

Bruce: Your right, she also had old and new bruises on her!

Tony: That could mean a lot of different things lets not jump to conclusions.

Steve: I agree lets not-

I get interrupted by my phone ringing.

This is Rogers.

Uh let me talk to my boss rq. Well i live where i work, give me a second.

Can my niece come live here? I’ll enroll her in school.

You have a niece rogers?

I do, i just haven’t seen her in a long while. Last time i saw her she was a baby.

You’ll be able to keep an eye on her?

I know this chapter is a lot shorter than even i thought it would be, but ima try to write chapter two! I apologize if I spelled anything wrong, and its a weird chapter and i’m not the best at writing either soo.

i kind of want to yap about marvel rq.

aou ; i absolutely love this movie. one of, if not, my favourite marvel movie. (civil war is close bc my memory of it is watching it w my childhood friend) anyways, there are some issues with the movie. for example, pietro’s death was the biggest issue of the movie imo and thats what i will focus on.

for introductions, hai, im cas, a huge marvel fan and have been since ‘15. aou or avengers age of ultron is a marvel film and is the second avengers movie, but is the 9th (technically 11th), installment of marvel. *not including the incredible hulk. (9th excluding gotg)

to give a quick summary ; “when tony stark (rdj) jump-stars a dormant peace-keeping program, things go terribly awry, forcing him, thor (chris hemsworth), the incredible hulk (mark ruffalo), and the rest of the avengers to assemble. as the fate of earth hangs in the balance, the team is put to the ultimate test as they battle ultron, a technological terror hell-bent on human extinction. along the way, they encounter two mysterious and powerful newcomers, pietro and wanda maximoff.” (directly quoted from the about section of movie)

so, basically, the movie is about stopping ultron to put it simply, however, along the way, the two twins wanda and pietro maximoff soon join in to help bc they disagree w ultron’s idea of human extinction as they only wanted to end the avengers. however, pietro soon dies to save clint barton (hawkeye) while ultron was shooting at them from the avenger’s quinjet.

“why is this an issue?”

“a character died, so what?”

let me just say that, pietro has super speed. and if he has that, shouldn’t he be able to dodge bullets? (he quite literally DID in the comics, saving BOTH clint AND wanda) so this just doesn’t make sense ??

another issue is that his death was random? although, yes, there WAS foreshadowing, it still.. js didn’t make sense? in a deleted scene where thor was possessed, he stated that, in order to end ultron there needed to be “human sacrifice”. that would add a lot more to his death and make it have some meaning.

and finally, no one fucking acknowledges it in the movies? the one who does is fucking CLINT? NOT WANDA, his OWN twin sister. nah, she dgaf anymore. clint names his son after pietro, “nathaniel pietro barton” and he later on helps / protects wanda bc her brother saved clint’s life. however, wanda NEVER fucking mentions him again and it’s so?? what the fuck??

in conclusion, pietro should NOT have died. thank you 4 coming to my ted talk.
