-formed

A suffix referring to how or why a specific alter formed, view themself as having formed, and/or are viewed by others in-system, in their system. For example 'Stressformed', would refer to an alter that formed because another alter(s) or the (sub)system as a whole was under stress.

They can also have to do with the alter's feeling about why they exist. For example, an Introject who died in source may consider themself to have been reborn into the system, and as such consider themself 'rebirthformed' ,or similar.

-splitformed

We know that some systems use the term split to refer to any time an alter formed in the system. However we use to specifically refer to new alters that split from already know alters in the system, this often will result in something of the original alter being taken to the new one. I will be using split how we(my system) typically use it, in this post. Example 'griefsplitformed'(shorted to griefsplit) would be an alter that split because of, to deal with, and/or to hold, another alter's grief.

-fuseformed

This would refer to an alter that formed as they are now do to the fusion of alters. For an example 'fearfuseformed'(shorted to fearfused) would be an alter that formed by fusion because of fear.

-wakeformed

An alter the come out of dormancy, and they leaving dormancy is seen as formation for any reason. For example 'ragewakeformed'(shorted to ragewaked) would be an alter that come of dormancy because rage, in a way that is viewed as formation.

-nowPCformed

An alter the formed from a NPC. For example traumanowPCformed(shorted to traumanowPC), would be a NPC that became an alter because, someone in the system/the system went through a new traumatic event or was reminded of past traumas.

All of these suffixes can also be used in combination with role term, in reference to alter that formed for a specific role regardless if they still are that role or not. For example protectorformed is an alter that was originally formed to be a protector, they may or may not still be one.

This was with complex dissociative disorder systems who don't like using "-genic" to describe individual alters(cough cough us) in mind

I've been super aware of switches and who's fronting lately. I can recognize who's voice is whos, various memories and feelings and body language. I can even almost pinpoint how people talk based on where in my throat or chest they're using my bodys voice

Its taken me probably about 2 years to get to this point and its taken documentation, constant asking myself questions and so much patience

These questions include

Who am i

What names do i resonate with

What do i look like inside

Where am i from

What do i remember

What is familiar about where im at, and have i fronted here yet(often asked at work or in my current home)

How do i know the people around me

Do i particularly like or dislike something

What are my base emotions (alters cant be boiled down to singular emotions necessarily but some tend to experience one more than others and it can help section them off)

How old are they

How many are there

Can they speak or are they semi-verbal, mute, or do they talk in ways that arent words(some use music or animal noises or just communicate telepathically)

There are loads of other questions and its not like i go through the entire list every time but things like this have helped me figure out a lot more about my system. It's about who affects what, what triggers who, and how everyone navigates the world and why.

This may not work for everyone but im hoping this resource may help someone

What’s the funniest/most unfortunate/what have you time you’ve split?

I’ll start. Watching the new Mission Impossible. In the theater. With our mom right next to us.

The whole split didn’t happen during the movie (it didn’t stop until the next morning), but that first hour-ish of it was a //trip//

funny idea where Shen Yuan transmigrates into a cute colorful lil world and his system tells him to collect data on bunnies, and not just any bunnies- beast bunnies

He thinks its cool, like omg theres this one bunny w dark fur and lil horns!! Omg its so cute, and this one has wings..!! And this one- its glowing! Its literally so cute!!

So he's in beast heaven where his goal is literally just Gotta Find Them All and optionally record their behavior for extra d-points! (D standing for data <3)

Eh, downside is he cant really use his left arm cuz he hasn't unlocked dual maining yet... but he'll get to it soon! For his bunnies!!

but! Theres evil creatures trying to eat his precious bunnies while he's researching them...!! His system tasks him with getting rid of these corrupted devourers to protect his defenseless bunnies-

well they're not all defenseless but the ones who CAN protect themselves are rare and most of what he has are just precious babies hiding behind him!! So, he takes up the missions and fight the evildoers!

Hey, but wait a minute- system, why are the devourers just.. pirate carrots?!

Oh, hey atleast he got a weapon!

Crack crack, boom!! He defeats the corrupted devourers- er, carrots- but wait, something sparkles in the corner of his eyes... he trims through the bushes and finds- another bunny?

His eyes were wide and shining because WOAH omg this bunny was majestic! It had a light shade of green and like, cute wind patterns! Theres even a little star pattern on its head!

But... aww, poor thing is trembling, it was so small too, probably just a baby. His heart clenched at the thought that those devourers were gonna eat something so cute... he looked around, though he cant seem to find its mother. They were probably eaten by the devourers...

He sighed and decided to just take the bunny in! More d-points for him!

He gently picks it up and cradles it in his arms.

Xiao Jiu ran as fast as he could, trying to get away from monsters that sought for his flesh and blood.

But it was futile, wasn't it? They were faster, stronger, and he was just prey.

It wasn't any better that his clumsy self tripped and sprained his ankles. Fuck.

His heart thumped wildly in his chest, he didn't want to die yet. Please.

If he could not run, he crawled. He crawled and hid in a large bush, hoping those demons had not seen him. Hoping that whatever god was up there was merciful and let him live. But then what?

He trembled in the cold, his body aching and hurting all over.

Why did it have to be him?

His breath hitched as he heard the sounds of cracking bones and tearing flesh. He trembled and hugged himself tighter, trying to get himself together.

Crawl, crawl damnit. Move. Anything.

Why did it have to be him?

He couldn't hide his fear when he so clearly felt a shadow loom over him. His instincts burned and screamed and made him look up, to see if the monsters had spotted him.

The bush was cut, and he was exposed.

Xiao Jiu froze as he saw a bloodied man, arm ripped off and dry blood staining the ripped clothing.

The man- more demon-like than the actual demons he saw - approached him- no get away from me- and picked him up. And cradled him.

He couldn't do anything. He was scared, confused, angry- and.. helpless, in a lot of senses.

He wasn't willing to backdown without a fight however.

(It took sy 3 hours to put his disoriented bunny that was trying to fight him thinking he was probably one of the carrots to sleep. Poor baby.)

Anyways so yeah shen yuan thinks he got transported into a beast bunny heaven

Literally everyone around him says otherwise, but oh no shen yuan doesnt speak bunny and carrot language unfortunately :(

Sy thinks he's a beast tamer and also he chops up all the carrots to feed to his bunnies (remember what carrots are?... yeah... his house is a bit... messy...)

Sy: omg new rare bunny type?!?!?!!! This is the best day ever.

Sj, traumatized asf: who are you..?!. (sy baba-beams him and he immediately (4 weeks) becomes his boy)

Sy serving his bunnies the chopped up carrots: eat up and grow big and strong!

Sj: (avoiding the "carrots" bc he is NOT eating raw flesh)

Sy, noticing sj avoiding the carrots: oh no, my baby still has trauma from that experience :( its ok, SYSTEM!!!! gimme recipes. Now.

Sy looking at the (dead) carrots: i wonder if i can eat this...

System: no!!! It is heavily advised against!!

Sy: huh? Why?

System, sweating and trying to find an explanation that doesnt reveal the carrots are literally just demon abomanations: .....theyre digestible only to the rabbits! Theyre toxic to humans like how chocolate is toxic to dogs!

Sy: (believing it) huh... that makes total sense.

if you're wondering what sy looks like in this au, in literally everyone else's POV he:

Has one arm, the other looks like it was ripped off

Has clothes that are bloody and dirty asf like he just got out of a bloodbath

Has dead eyes and a clawed out eye (referencing to the fact he sees the world like a cutesy place even tho it isnt LMAO system pulling so many strings)

Has a butcher knife

His okay-arm has spikes coming out of his flesh

So basically he looks like he got out of a slaughter/cruel lab but he loves his bunnies (monstrous pets with 1 lil very hateful kid) very dearly and no when he sees himself in reflection he just looks like a Normal Guy

This is just my excuse to make monsteryuan but slightly more insane

Jason “my family doesn’t know im alive” Todd and Danny “my family doesn’t know I’m dead” Fenton going alongside each of their plans my beloved. like Danny will absolutely go head-to-head with all of Gotham to support his new best friend on all his crime lord endeavors while he drags Jason to also attend collage with him. They are roommates and there never seems to a mention of family from either side. It’s an unspoken understanding they have. They met because Crime alley as a ghost lair thrummed with so much loneliness, it was at first the perfect place for Danny to hide his ecto signature in. But then he saw the dumbass whose lair it was lean his motorcycle just a tad too much when making a sharp turn to an alley, he sweeped the floor through a lifted chain link that passed his body but not his helmet. Yep that’s right the red thing got stuck. Danny who at the moment happened to be watching through his window snorted. Much to his horror because if not a ghost that dude could’ve gotten his head flung off.

Still, the scene was ridiculous.

On a whim he irrationally sees the police closing in on the guy and panicked at the thought of the guy using intangibility to free himself so Danny phased them both through his apartment wall and left the guy sprawled in his couch. Jason didn’t freak out but that’s normal when one’s got a concussion, one the guy immediately denied having as Danny laid out the medical supplies. The idiot proceeded to almost flatten four steps to the door with his stubbornness. He also said “I’m asexual” in the most deadpan voice as Danny dropped him back in the couch.

Danny sighed. Clearly though, he’d done so too early in the night because the guy kept trying to go, kept trying to knock Danny out, kept trying to slash him with knifes Danny didn’t know he had stashed. He’d only disarmed the guy from his guns. The visible ones apparently, cause at one point the guy did take out a gun and shoot until the ammo ran out and then teetered the thing like it was an art prop and hit his moon lamp.

Danny "yeah you aren’t officially my friend until you’ve tried to kill me" fenton my guys.

Anyways both keep having the same argument over if Danny technically kidnapped Jason or not. Danny holds the fact that the police at least didn’t see the guy make the ridicule. Jason argued that happened cause he was sporting a concussion. Danny argued he got that after.

Jason at first thinks the guy's a meta, but no. Danny introduces himself, sheepily now that he recognizes this is who the lair he invaded is from. He bandages him and tries to cook for him. If Danny didn’t have ice powers he most certainly would’ve burned the apartment. Jason then proceeds to kick him out of his own kitchen and make them both enchiladas. It’s the most normal both had in a while with another person and the air seems oddly settled. From then on, Jason constantly invited himself over, under the pretense that this was his territory and therefore he could drop in unannounced. Danny who has actual powers says he only allows this because Jason cooks very well.

Danny stays away from the crime fighting business unless his buddy is in deep shit he can’t get himself out. Also it’s Danny’s turn to cover for his vigilante friend which Sam and Tucker give him so much shit for. (but also advice)

And they were roommates. (omg) Danny effectively derails Jason’s big comeback plans by casually dropping ghost lore every two days. Like,

Jason, talking about how he doesn’t want Bats snooping on his territory:

Danny: Just don’t let them in

Jason: ??

Danny: yeah!! Hasn’t Batman died and got revived??? You can totally kick out death touched people you don’t want entering on your lair.

Jason: …I can?

Danny: Yep dude, your lair’s supposed to feel safe.

Jason: wait does that mean I can kick you out?

Danny: First this is my apartment. Second, im dead, not dead touched. Third, it’s too late to get rid of me. bitch.

Anyways Jason is super excited. You mean to tell him he can actually deny people over to his territory haunt?? (Yes it’s only to people who have died and came back but still!! The sample size is exactly the type of people he doesn’t want to see—!)

Joker my beloathed can’t step foot in Crime Alley.

(Jason’d feel a lot safer if the clown was dead but the possibility of his murderer turning into a ghost and their little loophole not applying on the clown is too scary to contemplate.)

Anyways, Jason loves experimenting with the power. It can go from simply making people shudder and not want to enter crime Alley to straight up not letting them enter like there’s an invisible wall blocking the way.

Jason because he’s hurt that Bruce never even patrols Crime Alley and also because he’s petty put B under the category of “invisible wall” blacklist. His reasoning is that the man doesn’t even attempt to enter Crime Alley. To him it’s surely just a place shadowed in tragedy. (anyways that’s it’s the place he met Jason)

Ironically, Jason totally forgets that Batman does venture into Crime Alley one day in the whole year. The day he met Jason.

Okay. He didn’t forget at first. The first year Jason remembers cause it was only a few months till then but then the next— Jason forgets that today’s the anniversary of the day’s Bruce’s parents died. He forgets to allow B in when he feels a slight tug and dismiss the feeling that prompts Bruce to investigate because he literally can’t enter Crime Alley. He starts the trialsTM, he scouts on the very edge and sees people the whole day enter and get out and cross with no problem but Bruce can’t.

It’s literally just Bruce.

Time to call Constantine, i guess.

Justice League & The Observants

The first time The Observants appeared before the Justice League, they were met with resistance. The JL was more than apprehensive when it came to working with the beings.

A new side of their world was exposed to them. Since the day those things showed up at the watchtower, everywhere the JL turned, there was a new spooky thing to learn about.

The strange beings didn't say much. Appearing in the room through a swirling portal, took a look at the heroes and gave them a mission.

A mission. Like suddenly the Justice League works for them. Something that rubbed all the heroes the wrong way.

Yet, they had to take it. They couldn't let a town get absolutely destroyed and leveled just because they disliked the creatures that told them about it.

It kept happening.

Batman pulls out all the stops to learn more about these so called "Observants". Everything he could find.

It takes him down a rabbit hole. Finding out more and more about the world those beings came from. The Zone.

No one could really complain. The visits from the Observants were always short and to the point. A new problem has arise in the time line and they needed to fix it.

That was until the first time it wasn't one of those things stepping out of the portal.

This time it was a kid. Or something that looked like a kid, and this kid looked pissed.

He demands to know everything that the Observants had asked the league to do. Demands to be filled in.

The anger isn't directed at the JL. No, no. It's directed at the Observants. It seems the league aren't the only ones that despise those all-seeing beings.

He's a king. The kid is a King.

Not what anyone had expected, and it seemed the complication only grew more. The king, Phantom, informs them not to trust the Observants.

The Justice League takes it all in surprising strides. Confirms that they have done nothing wrong, and they haven't. It was simply that the Observants cared more of their own opinions than the betterment of the world.

However, it gets a little harder to keep a straight face when they are introduced to the God of Time.

Made even worse when the God, Clockwork, is a child. If they thought Phantom was a kid, this was a baby.

Except in almost a blink of an eye, Clockwork was an old man.

Things just kept getting more complicating and intriguing.

Before the Justice League knows it. They are essentially thrusted into the Zone's own problems. An inner war was brewing, and Phantom wanted to do everything he could to stop it.

Putting more stuff for the split screen/beast bunny au

To be clear, Shen yuan sees himself as Normal Guy TM no matter where it is, be it lake or mirrors or basically anything that reveals himself. Its rly his vision that got fucked by the system lmao

He does unlock "dual maining" eventually, as in his 2nd arm. Its a bit cursed, since the second arm is made from a dead arm actually but was manipulated and revived by some dark art. Or well, it was made by a "carrot."

Basically, system made him find a very very specific "carrot" and made him kill it. He used the flesh and roughly formed it into the shape of an arm, a sharp blade on the end of the made arm. He lodged that blade into his own, connecting his flesh and the demon flesh. The demon flesh of the "carrot" started to regenerate due to the blade drawing shen yuan's unknown blood and merging with the demon flesh's own.

In shen yuan's pov, an arm magically appeared after he "chopped up some carrots for the materials" to make said arm. It looks great to him, but anyone else witnessing that scene would've been HORRIFIED.

Oh yeah the demon arm is blackened and charred, as well as having sharp bloody claws. So basically, he became even more of a monster !! But hey, he has two arms now. Yay!

Does shen yuan ever find out he sees things differently compared to others? Haha, no idea. Maybe he will, maybe he won't!

The system decides, afterall.

Will shen yuan ever be able to communicate with the "bunnies"? Yeah he loves his babies very much.

Yes he still gushes about other monsters and yes other monsters exists, the "carrots" only appear when the system deems them an "enemy"

but... how would that work?

the blur spoke, a reaching hand towards Shen Yuan. What?

They continued to flicker, the system undecided and unresponsive. Was this an illusion? A new devourer type?

He wasn't gonna take any risks, so he assumed so and tried to attack.

The devourer dodged it, albeit sloppily, barely making it.

I won't miss the next time.

He swung his butcher's knife, though the devourer kept dodging and even got a hit on him. He was getting kinda frustrated, until he remembered he has a new arm now!

With his realization, he quickly grabbed the devourer using his new arm and pinned it down, the knife to its barely seen panicking face.

before he could cut the carrot though, his system blaired at him.

[ERROR!] [ERROR!] [ERROR!]

What?

"-BA"

"-BABA!"

An unclear voice like a dream snapped him out of it, and when he looked down; his bunny? Oh fuck.

He quickly let go and saw how scared his green bunny was. Guilty, shen yuan scooped up the teary-eyed bunny and gently cradled it, muttering apologies.

Eh, but wait.. did it just call him "baba"?!

And suddenly he was convinced they have a special connection.

The system rung up,

[host has prevented the illusion 'Unseen' from making you hurt your bunnies.]

[10 d-points has been given.]

Hm, well shen yuan supposes it was easy enough to figure out, but did he seriously need to traumatize his baby? But then again thats the illusion's fault, he has nothing to do with it except being another victim. Sigh~

Now that he thinks about it, why did the figure look faintly human?

Eh, well it was an illusion, so who cares?

And then in sj's pov its like, his baba cuts up another demon. But then, he started cutting it up into mesh, and was forming it into something, something that looked eerily like an arm.

He stuck his extra blade into it and holy fuck did he just stabbed himself?!-

And then the arm made by the flesh of a demon suddenly regenerated into his baba's arm and the next thing he knows is that his adoptive dad struggled to stand and breathe.

He was worried only for a bit because the next, his baba looked at him, and fucking tried to kill him.

Atleast shen jiu managed to snap him out of it, so now his worrisome and scary monster was hugging him and muttering unintelligibles that felt like apologies.

No amount of apologies can make up for that jumpscare but thanks dad.

oh also, the bunnies could be either beasts or human. The rarer ones were always human though, or atleast human kids.

To seperate the 2 so that either the humans wont kill the demon beasts or the demons wont kill the humans, the system seperated it into 3 using traits.

Humans were always "haze", smth smth haze. Like shen jiu's being "haze-coated dreams." But that ones obvious, for a non obvious one lets use lqg as an example. Liu Qingge's could be "burning iron spirit" or smth and in the status lqg's bunny would have the trait "haze" alongside other traits.

Meanwhile, demons or specifically monsters that the system can consider friendly enough to be made bunnies would have the trait "beast", while demons as in ppl like mobei-jun would have the trait "demonic"

And the system would tell him that he needs to seperate them so their traits dont clash and make their life uncomfy

And who was shen yuan to allow his babies to suffer?!

Shen yuan eats human food. He discovered demonic and haze bunnies only until later, shen jiu was his first haze bunny. The system tells him that haze bunnies have the same diet as humans because when they grow up they eventually take on a humanoid form, or well.. learn. The system needs an excuse to further reason why sj cant communicate afterall.

Haze coated dreams aka sj randomly transforming back into a bunny

Sy: ???

System who was trying to keep sj from spilling the beans: haze bunnies learn to maintain their humanoid form, but it doesnt last very long as their control is weak.

Sy: ah that makes sense.

Yes, shen jiu will be able to communicate with shen yuan eventually, but only when the system knows that sj is already used to sy's monster-esque appearance and wont infact snitch. (Or cant)

If needed, the system will js "haze" (censor) the revealing words in the form of sj speaking unintelligebles and convince shen yuan that his haze bunny was still learning how to speak.

Well, by the time the system cant use that excuse, it would've already fulfilled its goal anyway.
