Kinda obsessed with headcanon, where Damian and Jason just randomly (out of nowhere, completely unprompted) start to referring to their shared past in the League in the middle of the family conversations, while everyone just stare at them in concern

Or, it is not necessarily funny, but it just cute (or sad) details, regarding each other that others are confused about.

And then on a random night, he just grabbed me by the hair, and said, Jason. Food. And he kinda spoke properly since then. Like in full sentences and stuff. I think he just didn't want to speak with us, actually--

And sometimes they just speak in Arabic, and Damian keeps bullying Jason that his skills are getting rustier.

Stop making your multilingual characters “forget to switch back”, that’s unrealistic, here’s some actual situations multilingual people regularly do, as someone who is fluent in English, and conversationally fluent in Irish and Spanish:

If they have to say something in another language, like a name, it will be heavily accented, they won’t say it like it’s English

Multilingual people might have a hard time distinguishing languages that arent their first, and may mix them together in sentences

Translating expression directly that only make sense in one language

Adding sounds to English words because they don’t exist in their language (Eg: ‘Eschool’ in Spanish speakers instead of ‘school’)

Frame switching when you're speaking other languages is such a thing because:

English (native): Swears like a sailor (actually, a sailor is more cleaned up). Dry, sarcastic, sardonic humor

Spanish (second language): 🤓🤓🤓

Hebrew (third language): What is a swear word? What is sarcasm? I have become nice jewish boy.

Italian (fourth language): My Italian ancestors have possessed me. Mambo Italiano is the energy of the night

You know people whose Tumblr name is seemingly gibberish? Many times it's just that they're in other languages.

I know this because every so often I come across a handle name that's in one of the languages I speak besides English.

Honourable mention to Tumblr handles that are simply referencing pop culture from another country. I came across one today that was "murdochmemesteries" and was immediately like "Oh, they're probably Canadian, because that's obviously a reference to the Murdoch Mysteries tv series."

being bilingual be like:

english makes up 90% of my thoughts, I think in english, I write about my shit in english, I watch everything ONLY in english( god forbid watching a movie in another language), it's my comfort language where I feel safe and understood.

italian is only used when I'm in a bad mood, mostly because I despise italian high school and I don't fit in in this society ( I mean my peers) so whenever I need to expeess my hatred towards the world I definitely use italian and write "poems" in my phone notes + ofc I need italian for school which if you haven't noticed yet Ihate with the bottom of my heart

russian, even if it's my mother tongue it's only used for watching anime ( russian dub is amazing), family and sometimes youtube, I don't even know how to spell words correctly but yeah it's my default language and I like the way it sounds
