can't stop thinking about odin in TDW. he sets his kingdom on fire and locks the doors with everyone inside. he is prepared to kill both his sons for trying to stop him. all his millennia of noble intentions crumble the second frigga dies because nothing means anything without her. there's nothing left but to go down in a blaze of glory and take everything he cares about that still remains with him

obligatory childe post ft 4.2 archon quest spoilers and also my incomprehensible ramblings (read at your own discretion)
fontaine left me with a Lot of thoughts about childe even if his screen time was kinda pitiful
it's been opening up a lot of implications for childe's potentional importance to the greater, overall plot of the story though and its driving me up a WALL but more importantly it's made me pick apart his character
which brings me to Fontaine actually being PERFECT for him to have featured in, actually. because the whole damn nation is a theater, a stage for its archon. Hydro has never fit him better because the parallels of focalors/furina to ajax/tartaglia aren't exact but it's pretty damn close. a separation of the "other" (divine in case of focalors, whatever is wrong w childe in his case) and human.
I just think a lot about how Tartaglia is only ever Ajax with family. you really don't see his old name anywhere, he's pretty openly adopted Tartaglia (kinda childe too) as his name literally in every other circumstance. which you can chalk up to just like. well, he's usually on fatui business, of course he'd use his fatui name, but. even with traveler, it's childe.
so. you know. makes me wonder if as far as he's concerned, Ajax is dead. "Ajax" died when he fell down that crack in the ground and something else crawled back out.
which makes me wonder how he'd feel about the Creator calling him Ajax.
conflicted, probably. because you know him well enough to know his old name..but he's not Ajax anymore, is he? he's not the child with a sword in hand trying to play adventurer, he's a Harbinger. he's Childe, he's Tartaglia.
conflicted because he has doubts, even if he'd never voice them, that maybe you like "Ajax" more then Childe.

I'm still in my Primavera feelings era now and I'm literally crying because of the fact how hard Will tried to stay in his memory palace to be in his safe place (stream) with Abigail, but his brain kept returning to the reality where he was looking at Abigail's dead body and how she was put into a body bag.
After Hannibal told him to put his head back, close his eyes and wade into the quiet of the stream, the stream actually stopped being Will's safe place — after that scene we never see Will fishing in his mind again.
It is because in Primavera he felt as if he and Abigail were drowning in a stream of blood; he wasn't able to concentrate on staying in his mind safe, so there was no point in using stream ever again.

yeah but AU where margot had will's baby and they killed mason? hannibal would've been like omg I must end this child, then BAM baby looks exactly like will little baby boy big blue eyes and hannibal's like oh. oh. oh no no no. then just kills off margot to baby trap 2.0 and bonus points because now they're super rich and they'll need the extra money to provide for so many kids (cause abigail was still secretly alive at that point) meanwhile will is honeytrapping his lover therapist, killing folks and making art projects, losing his ass virginity, eating birds bones and all, revamping his wardrobe, being a primary caregiver AND on top of it all making homemade dog food
