Pride, Identity, and Advice (Dadbastian Days 1,2,5,6)

“Young Master, why are you up?”

The butler got used to everything the manor has to offer. The cracks on the stone walls, the plants that grow and overgrow like a human connection, the way the rain falls on the windows during the storms and gentle weather change, the many attackers who come by to try and ruin the manor in some way, the faces in and out of the doors often. But he was never used to seeing his Young Master, now in his teens, awake in the dead of night with a melancholy look on his face. Ciel glanced up to his butler in black as he stood by the rain-covered window of his bedchambers, a blanket barely wrapped over his shoulders like a cap as his bare feet were flat on the wooden flooring.

The sounds of sniffles and the sight of tears still linger a foreign thing to Sebastian even after so many years living among the mortals and humans, yet still now it creates cracks in his beating drum of an organ when seeing the tears on pale cheeks. What hurt his chest more was the sight of his master wiping his face in a hurry with blanket covered hands. “I’m just checking how bad the storm is. Goodnight Sebastian.” Ciel then hurries away before his butler could ask him any more questions on the night’s adventure.

“My my, you’ve grown to be quite a handsome young man My Lord.” “Why hello young man, are you here to pick up an order?” “You’re growing up to be a strong man, boy, you can get married soon.” “Such a kind boy, your future bride must be so lucky.”

All day was busy with the master and butler duo going around London for errands, getting mail, getting some new tea leaves of Ciel’s choosing, picking up some new seeds for the seasons’ changes, and finally a visit to Nina Hopkins’ shop to pick new clothes. Throughout the day, Sebastian kept looking at his little Lord and kept seeing this sunken and tired expression on his face, black gloved hands always clasping and rubbing against the material over his pale flesh.

As the two walk their way into the lovely tailor shop in town, the scent of candle light on oils and various fabrics filling their senses, they are imminently greeted by the woman in question who hurries over down the stairs to the two. “Good afternoon My Lord!” Cried Nina, brown eyes eager and glittering as the usual draw of amusement meets excitement. “Good afternoon Miss Hopkins. You seem excited.” Said Sebastian with a small smile, honestly enjoying the tailor’s passion for her profession ever since he helped the pair with costumes for their musical theater project they shared. They still aren’t quite there to be the friends he would say. Nina smiled wide and straightened her back in pride, “Of course!” She cheered, “I always love to work with the Earl! Measuring him and designing the most perfect outfits are pure excitement, especially since I’m here witnessing the glorious slot of time of when a boy becomes a man!” She practically squealed out the last part as she did a small dramatic spin of her heels, earning some amusement in Sebastian. The woman clapped her hands together when she turned to the small Lord with a beaming smile, “Now then, shall we take you recent measurements, My Lord?” She pauses when noticing Ciel is looking off to the side, speaking a touch louder now, “Ahem.” Ciel’s shoulders tense as he whirled his head to her and blinked rapidly, imminently collecting himself with an assuring smile, “O-Oh I apologize, yes we shall.”

As the two walked to the fitting room, Sebastian glanced to where his master could be looking at only to see the photos of wedding gowns Nina has made over the years.

Sebastian pondered as he sliced the lamb he has in front of him. His master just has been acting weird, it’s almost too questionable with the recent events. He’s used to the thought of “Oh humans are just different” but rarely has that come up due to thoughts of Ciel. Maybe it’s puberty? Could he perhaps be upset about something? Did he maybe have a fight with his twin? So many possibilities that he can’t quite pick and naw on properly.

A small squirt of meat snaps him out of his drowning thoughts, he glances down to the lamb meat before him. In a strange way, seeing the cut lamb reminded him a bit of his master… The pale skin bruised and bitten up as if eaten alive, The sad swollen eyes of misery staring at everyone blankly, The dark wool of hair on top his head with any signs of horns not yet peeking or perhaps cut off, The black coated hooves that ache and numb from many fights and giving ups.

The demon realizes at that thought he’s more so thinking of the night they met… When that Earl was this scared sad child filled with trauma and guilt of a thing he couldn’t have control over nor had the option of what would happen that week… That boy starved and hurting… Sebastian, over the many many years he’s been on this plane of life and death, is used to many forms of humanity being far more cruel than demons can ever be. He got used to those terrible actions on people, on children who people preach and pray should never be harmed in any way only to turn their back when the child needs help most. Yet, he never actually saw the effects of the aftermath of such slaughter and cruelty…

“The meat will spoil if you stare at it too long, Mr Sebastian.”

The butler’s head jerked up fast and hard, almost throwing him in a rough dizzy, and slowly a smile stretched on his lips as his red eyes showed a small twinkle of warmth. “I didn’t hear you enter, Mr Agni.” A bandaged hand touched the shoulder of the demon as the man in green stood beside him, gray eyes warm and softened like melting chocolates as he looked to his butler companion. “What is on your mind, my friend?” Asked him with a small head tilt. Sebastian sighed softly and began to move his hand about to care for the meat to prepare for dinner, his words sliding out easily like a flowing water fountain, “It is my Young Master. He has been acting differently than usual. Wandering the manor at night, growing sadder and sadder with each passing second, spacing out at the strangests of times. And yet I cannot at all figure out how to ease his worried heart and soul. Somehow this feels… far different than I am used to.” Agni listened calmly before giving a thought, “Perhaps you should have a conversation with him. He may be secretly yearning for someone to come talk to him about what is weighing his mind, as I have sensed with you Mr Sebastian.” Sebastian chuckled some, “You don’t need to be so formal with me, Mr Agni. I will take your advice nicely though, but I do fear he won’t answer honestly…” “He will. Your bond is far stronger than anything I have ever seen Sebastian, you both can easily sense when the other is needing care as proven so many times of you to him and him to you, like when you were required to rest of the ship incident.” The butlers look at each other and smile, small giggles exciting lips as they recall the leaving of such a “vacation” only to come back bloody and bruised and scary stories to come with.

Blond hair peeks out the door frame of the kitchen door as Baldroy looks in, his blue eyes scanning the area curiously. “What got you in a giggling mood?” “Oh, just…memories.”

Sebastian looked to his side, only to see it empty but still warm as if a body was there just a few seconds ago. A bitter coldness filled his chest as he took in a shaky breath and a calmer sigh out. He turned to the chef and smiled, “May I help you with something, Mr Baldroy?” Baldroy shook his head and sputtered, “I… was just wondering if I can help with anything…” “Well don’t just stand there, come on in, Mr Baldroy.”

The butler walked down the dark halls of the manor until he arrived at the bedchamber door of the Earl of Phantomhive. Quietly, he enters and sees the lad already dressed for bed and reading, albeit a slight mess much like his life during that damn circus case. “My Young Master, have you decided I am not needed to assist you?” Sebastian said in a joking manner, only to gain silence and avoided day clashing colored eyes back. 

With a sigh and sat at the foot of the bed and turned to the teen, dragging his tongue to lick his dry lips as he chose his words carefully. Finally, after mentally rereading his script of the conversation, he spoke out his query, “Young Master, I have noticed your behavior has been… odd as of late. Is something eating away at you?” Ciel turned away from him. “Don’t be silly, of course no–” “Young Master,” The master turned and looked at his butler, surprised by the sudden stern voice as if a father was scolding a child gently. “I swore to you I would never lie,” The butler continued, “And I would like you to be honest with me, just for tonight. I will rephrase my question; What is eating away at you?”

He took a mental notice of Ciel’s pale lips trembling some and how his hands tighten at the book in his hands. Finally, after what felt like weeks and months of waiting, the Earl sighed and actually settled in his spot on the bed though his eyes haven’t yet reached the older. 

“Have you… ever felt like you were… going crazy Sebastian?”

For the first time, the words threw the demon in confusion and curiosity.

“Excuse me, what do you mean, My Lord?” Ciel huffed, a weak smile cracked on his face, “Of course, what a silly question. You’re a demon after all, you don’t even know the true pain of insanity…” Sebastian took more mental notes as he examined his master’s emotionally weak state, “Do you feel that way, My Lord? That you’re in insanity?” The Earl paused, that’s when Sebastian became aware he hit the nail on the head. “My Lord,” Sebastian started, easing his voice in a soothing calming manner, but was interrupted by Ciel’s sudden emotional words, “Don’t say you understand what I feel! How could you possibly understand this… this… this insane emotional hurricane that bubbles under my skin? To understand the burning feeling of them still lingering? The blood that can never be seen or unwashed under my nails? You don’t! You don’t understand these thoughts that haunt me! Their voices that taunt me! Telling me I can’t feel angered by my past if my heart fluttered at someone of the same sex as me, or if I adore the strong will of a woman outside my line of sight… The constant thoughts and strangling pains when I hear the foul words of everyone around me, telling me how much of a man I should be… The most perfect English gentleman… That I need to wed to a woman or else I’m not lovable… Knowing if I refuse somehow I’ll… I’d…” 

As he watched his small shoulders raise and fall in soft wheezes, the butler in black thought hard of his words. Yes, what he said is true… He’ll never understand these feelings. The feelings society pushed into him that clashed terribly with such strong emotions. 

Sebastian reached out and placed a hand on the Earl’s head who, like a rabbit being pet, the smaller pushed into the palm seeking comfort. Wheezing breaths leaving pale yet bitten lips as paler cheeks are already staining with tears and emotional flush. “What’s wrong with me Sebastian…? I’m losing my mind… I must be… Having such thoughts and feelings–” The butler stopped his master’s words with stern yet gentle words of his own, “There is nothing wrong with you My Lord. The minds of society around you are wrong.” Sebastian carefully took the Lord’s face into his hands and wiped away the tears the best he could, heat breaking at that pained look on his small face, “They tell you since the day you were born what life you should have merely based off their own beliefs without knowing a thing about you and how you feel about them planing the play of life of you. If it were me, I would be more than eager to tell you if you want to kiss a boy, go for it. If you want to wear gowns, then just do it. If you want to scream at Christ and the Lord for not answering your eager prayers, I’ll scream with you in glee. No one should be entitled to tell you how you should feel… Not after I’ve seen how much you dug your own way out of Hell.”

The teen’s shaky breath was his only reply back. Not until their arms fell forward as the Earl’s head landed on Sebastian’s chest as he hiccups and sobs away. Sebastian, with even more ache against his chest, wrapped his arms carefully around the smaller figure, gloved hands rubbing soft circles around his head and back that shake and bob with each cry. “I’m very proud of you, My Lord, you should be proud of the person you grew to be…”

After that night of the Lord crying himself to sleep in the demon’s arms, Sebastian made quick work of making sure his master was comfortable and not stressed out about everything. He handled the stuff connected to the Funtom Company. He made sure the manor and estate were good and clean. He explained to the servants very simply and easy to understand that their master is feeling blue as of late and to politely refrain from calling him things like “Mister” or “Sir”  but not start calling him “Miss” or “Lady” as that’s not what the master wants either and treat him as they treated him prior. He made his master his favorite treats for the day. He called Nina and informed him of small changes of the wardrobe designs to fit more comfortably for his master’s true nature. He even contacted the Trancy Manor and Blavat, two places of people he despises, if the teens under their care can be so kind to visit for the day. After all, if he can’t ease the worries of his master after battling with his own identity and self worth due to society’s harsh rules and the trauma of his past, what kind of butler would he be?

Sebastian watched as the afternoon slowly shifted to night as his master, now dressed in an outfit that’s best fitted in the term of androgyny, enjoying a simple game of Old Maid with the blond Lord of Trancy and brunette circus performer of the stars. In a blink he sees the small child that stood before soiled with blood and ruins and tears, sunken sad eyes staring at him with no light to be seen. 

Blinking again, he sees the picture again now, seeing the light that not only fills the blue eye of his master, but around him.

I missed the previous prompts so I had them planned for yesterday since my head was empty on that prompt, then I saw today's prompt and went, "well this fits" so here we are!

All of these are in various stages. Some fics are completely plotted, hence the chapter count, some chapters are to be decided still. Others are mostly figured out, a few are vague ideas. A handful of them already have a chapter mostly written that just hasn't been posted yet. I'm including works I have posted on AO3 but haven't finished in this list. I've been busy the past few years, I just haven't been posting or talking about my works. I'd love to answer questions about any of these, without spoiling anything of course.

Kuroshitsuji:

Revamp – Heavy LGBTQ+ characters and themes, modern setting. Sebastian rents out a room in Ciel’s house. After much flirting and interests are made aware, Ciel will have to admit to Sebastian he’s a trans man that has been living in stealth. Sebastian was never able to explore his identity freely. Both have old trauma they must navigate as well as society and family’s expectations. Friends to lovers sebaciel. Found family and discovery of identity. Drag queens galore! Background Alois/Lizzie, Grell/Madam Red, Agni/Soma. Slice of life, smut, sex positivity, mental health, trauma, angst with happy ending. (20 chapters) Currently under revision as this was my first fic!

Skilamalink – Crimson Peak AU, early 1900’s. Two brothers and their mysterious butler must find a way to get their hands on a small fortune. Their inheritance is sinking into the red clay. Ciel Phantomhive searches for a new bride in hopes of marrying into wealth. Tragedy follows the Phantomhives like a dark shadow. Astre Phantomhive is deathly ill and in need of treatment. While he knows there are sinister things that go on behind the scenes, in his wildest dreams he could never imagine what is being kept from him. When Elizabeth Midford comes into the picture secrets begin to unfold. Horror, whump, mystery, murder, ghosts, dark fic, smut, romance, multiple ships, implied incest, satisfying ending. Freakshow – 1930’s circus AU, The Great Depression era, prohibition. Sebastian has searched the city only to have every door slammed in his face. Reluctantly he turns to the only place he hasn't tried, the circus. The last thing he wants to be viewed as is a freak, but he doesn't blend in society very well with Marfan syndrome. Circus owner William T. Spears is falling apart at the seams. His circus is failing, though he'd never admit it to anyone. Too many people depend on him, namely his twin sons, Ciel and Astre. Ciel is the star of the show, the biggest and brightest. His acts include knife throwing, magic, and good old fashion card tricks, made even more impressive by his blindness. Even with the crowds dwindling, he's not ready to move out from center stage. Especially not for the rookie new act. Astre is bored to death. The circus has been the same for years. Same people, same acts, same crippling anxiety that keeps him from performing. People try to make the circus seem spectacular, but to Astre it's just dull, everyday life. Astre has a difficult time making friends due to his inability to speak. Heavy angst, some dark themes, slow burn, past Snake/Astre. (Chapters TBD)

Rumors – Famous AU. Modern setting. A model and a rockstar couple, how original. Sebastian and his band are at the top of their game. Everyone wants to interview them, the paparazzi won’t leave them alone, and rumors fly in an instant. Ciel’s a well-known heir and model, finally making his first semi-public appearance since he was held for ransom. People want his story, at least what they can’t already see. Ciel is never without his eyepatch and gloves, he refuses to talk about that day. He attempts to move forward with his modeling career. Ciel hasn’t been laid in years, of course he won’t turn down the handsome rock star that approaches him at a party. For Sebastian it’s been…a few days. Sebastian has never had a serious relationship, but Ciel interests him. Sebastian invites Ciel to join them on their mini tour. Ciel would have to leave behind the security of his home and his own personal bodyguard for the first time in years. It’s all sex (a lot of sex), drugs, and rock n roll. Sebastian and Ciel try to navigate a relationship they must hide. Both are on the edge of self-destruction. Angst, intense themes, trauma, drug use, self-harm, eating disorders, mostly hurt/barely comfort, betrayal, lots of smut, hopeful ending. (9 chapters)

Bloody Bastian – American Mary AU. Modern setting. Sebastian is a surgical student getting ready to start his residency. Med school isn’t cheap, financial aid didn’t even cover books and materials and his bills were piling up. It was difficult to locate a job that would work with his schedule. He finds an ad that a local strip club has posted. They state women or men can apply, it’s worth a shot. Sebastian enters the club. It looks clean enough, not just a hole in the wall that won’t pay minimum wage. The owner, Bard, takes an interest in Sebastian even though he seems overly qualified. Sebastian’s schooling comes in handy as he becomes involved with illegal surgeries that pay fast cash. He remembers his vow to, “do no harm,” but when do the lines blur? His world becomes tangled in revenge and body modifications. Bard pines over Sebastian and will do whatever it takes to make him happy. Detective Ciel Phantomhive is investigating the disappearance of Sebastian’s previous professor. How long before the pressure causes Sebastian to crack? Dark fic, graphic content, angst, murder, non-con, trauma, slight Sebard and Sebaciel. Vague/open ending. (7 chapters)

Razor’s Edge – Black Swan AU. Modern setting. Ciel has finally landed the role as the Swan Queen. Sebastian, an award-winning dancer from England is to be Prince Siegfried. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing bonds two people in a blooming romance like covering up a murder. Stress is high on the duo as it is. A shadow from the past seems to follow Ciel. Sebastian may have signed himself up to be Ciel’s unofficial bodyguard as threats rise. Dark fic, open ended ending. (7 chapters)

In the Woods Somewhere – College AU with Bird!Bastian. Modern setting. Ciel Phantomhive has been murdered…or at least he would have been if he didn’t make a deal with a strange man from the forest. The man who becomes known as Sebastian finds himself trapped on the surface level. The fine print of Ciel’s contract has bound him for the entire ten years. Ciel is a sickly human that could benefit from someone like Sebastian, if he’s willing to be his student. Ciel is missing half a year’s worth of his memory and can’t recall who tried to murder him or why. Sebastian follows Ciel around campus and attempts to help solve his murder. Between classes Sebastian teaches Ciel a little magic. They visit the woods often for Sebastian to stretch his wings and Ciel to take nature photos. Ciel would have never guessed he’d fall for this strange, bird demon or that it would be reciprocated. Mystery, humor, magic, hurt/comfort, whump (Chapters TBD)

Break Your Halo – Angel/demon AU. Modern setting. After a church collapses three survivors are sent to the hospital. Two civilians are unconscious and in critical condition while the priest is awake. He demands to know if the basement is still intact because “it” must not be let out. Both civilians begin to heal impossibly fast and without their memory. They go by Ciel and Sebastian. They are put in a semi-private room and become friends. They start noticing some odd things and confide in one another. The doctors would think they’re crazy, they already think there’s something wrong with them. They were both at death’s door and overnight they’ve healed as if they’ve been there for months. Maybe they aren’t human, they need answers. Whump, smut (5 chapters)

Nymph – Canon divergent AU.Ciel sleeps with everyone except Sebastian and Sebastian is not having it, that’s it, that’s the fic. Adult Ciel being hit with all the urges he missed in his teens. Every chapter starts out with a frustrated Sebastian complaining in his journal. Yes, a demon keeping a journal is cracky. Some humor, but mostly smut. Ciel/Finny, Ciel/Bard, Ciel/Mey-Rin, Ciel/Soma/Agni, Ciel/Snake, Ciel/Undertaker, Ciel/Charles Grey, Ciel/Nina (8 chapters)

Phantom – Phantom of the Opera AU. Set in 1880s France. Sebastian finally debuts as the star the “angel” trained him to be. He has devoted his life to music and the voice he’d talk to in the dead of night. Sebastian is pleasantly surprised to find out his childhood love, Bard, is one of the opera house’s biggest patrons. Their reunion doesn’t go unnoticed. Sebastian is visited by his angel of music, and he is much more flesh and blood and possessive than Sebastian imagined. Soma is not taking being knocked down a peg well. The audience comes to see him and his darling Agni, not Sebastian. Soma won’t play nice, but what does he do when he’s faced with the man behind the mirror? This opera ghost won’t go without a fight. Bard desperately wants to free Sebastian, yet Sebastian doesn’t want to be freed. Angst, smut, dark elements. Sebaciel and Sebard. Background Soma/Agni. (Chapters TBD)

Slice of the Scalpel – Nip/tuck AU. Modern setting. Brothers Sebastian and Claude run a plastic surgery practice. They have very different ideas of beauty, which helps build their clientele. Sebastian prefers to enhance natural beauty and balance what is already there. Claude prefers to alter and exaggerate things beyond clients’ wildest dreams. Receptionist and Sebastian’s boyfriend, Ciel, is eager to start his schooling to be an anesthetist. Angst, drama, smut, humor. (Chapters TBD)

I Like U for Your Brainz – izombie AU. Modern setting. A newly turned zombie, Sebastian, is a medical examiner working under Ciel’s leadership. Together they try to find a cure for zombies as well as solve murder cases with detective William T. Spears. Sebastian had to leave his old life behind him, give up his dream of being a surgeon, his fiancé Bard, even his sister he keeps at a distance. His extremely extroverted roommate, Soma, must work even harder to cheer him up. Sebastian would give anything to be human again or at least to have someone besides his boss to talk to about being a zombie. He couldn’t be the only one out there, right? Turns out there’s someone that’s making more zombies in the hopes of getting rich and another that is plain ignorant to the problem. Angst, humor, smut, gore, happy ending. Star Boy – Actor AU. Modern setting. Actors Ciel and Sebastian are the celebrity couple everyone’s talking about. They are known for co-staring in action movies, their chemistry was unmatched even before they started dating. Their latest film calls for more stunts, more explosions and effects, it’s over the top. Like many actors, Ciel has a stunt double, Alois. Sebastian does as well, Claude. Alois loves performing stunts and he gets along well with Ciel. He gets his own limelight doing extreme sports off set. Claude isn’t as happy with the arrangement. Sebastian gets all the fans and praise, yet Claude is the one doing the hard work. Worst of all, Sebastian gets Ciel. Sebastian doesn’t deserve the life he has, Claude is sure of that. Angst, whump, crime, dark fic. (Chapters TBD)

Another Life – Modern setting reincarnation AU. Sebastian works at an antique shop, one day Ciel comes in to shop around, looking for something “old” to gift his cousin for her wedding day. Sebastian knows he’s never seen him in the shop before, yet he seems so familiar. Oddly enough Ciel is drawn back to visit Sebastian week after week, he is compelled to. There’s a tug on the red string of fate and neither can ignore it. (Chapters TBD)

A New Heart for Christmas – Modern setting. Ciel needs a heart transplant. It’s been years and he’s finally next on the list. He’s tired of keeping batteries charged for his artificial heart and worrying about people thinking he’s dead if he passes out and doesn’t have a pulse. The twins decide to do their annual birthday outing early this year, seeing as Ciel might be recovering still on their actual birthday. His new heart comes much sooner than he anticipated and with challenges he never imagined. Whump, sad, somewhat body horror?, angst. (3 chapters)

Nightshift – Modern setting. Five Nights at Freddy’s AU. Sebastian and Ciel have been hired as night security guards to a “new” pizza joint. Sebastian only moved to the town for college, but Ciel had lived there his whole life. He knew the establishment well. How dare they reopen after what they did to him and his family. Ciel searches for answers to what happened. He knows his brother had to be murdered, he wasn’t just abducted. Sebastian helps him investigate as the restaurant comes to life. With so much dark history it’s no wonder something lingers in the background. Time is running out as opening day nears. Horror, no smut, dark themes, happy ending. (6 chapters)

Free Love – Raver AU. Modern setting. Just a big party, not a lot of plot. A bunch of smut and ships. If house music was a fanfic, this is what you’d get. Phantom Occult – Supernatural AU/paranormal investigators, modern setting, on indefinite hiatus. The Phantomhives have been on the road most of their lives, taking out all the nasties that go bump in the night. Vincent and his twin sons have teamed up with a half demon named Sebastian and a witch, Sieglinde. Sebastian has very little memory of his past. He was found by Vincent and Cedric (Undertaker) on one of their hunts. In search of answers, Sebastian is trying to track down his demonic father. Sebastian has proven his loyalty to the Phantomhives time and time again. He will, as Vincent’s last request, ‘look after his boys.’ Following in their father and grandfather’s footsteps the twins take on cases involving the supernatural. Keith must take care of Shiro and find a new shelter or community for them to join. They find one run by a sadistic creep that was a cult leader pre-apocalypse. As Many Times as It Takes – Canon divergent AU. Keith goes feral and must be confined for everyone’s safety. The team works to find an antidote for Keith. Shiro tries to get his husband to remember their life together as well as remind him how to be human. Hurt/comfort. (3 chapters.)

Euphoria – A/b/o AU. Modern setting. Keith Is a hopeless afab alpha that seems to want the impossible. He’s not attracted to the stereotypical omega and his last relationship with another alpha left him with literal scars. He decides to try out a match service that’s prided itself on hard to match cases. Shiro is tired of being rejected and his body is telling him he desperately needs a mate. It doesn’t matter that he is no longer fertile, his omega body didn’t get the memo. With irregular and intense heats, infertility, being a large omega, and a list of ‘flaws’ a mile long Shiro has been the one unmatched client the service can’t seem to help. Owners Allura and Lance have become family to him and are personally invested in finding a mate for him. Keith and Shiro could be perfect for each other if only they allow themselves to be happy. Club Atlas – Scent club a/b/o AU. Modern setting. A new alpha, Shiro, arrives at a scent club under recommendation by his therapist. Following a serious accident Shiro lost his sense of smell. When it eventually came back everything was overwhelming. He could barely handle his own scent and couldn’t leave his house. His anxiety and trauma have caused his life to spiral out of his control. A scent club is the perfect place to go to for exposure therapy. Omega scents are naturally calming to an alpha, booths are well sealed and private, and clubs take care to thoroughly remove scents of previous clients between rounds. Shiro meets Lance and Keith, two of the omegas that work at the club. They interview him and add him to their client list. Lance is always enthusiastic about his job, he loves it. Keith on the other hand isn’t too fond of the job or being an omega. But there’s something about this client that he likes. Maybe he can make a real difference in someone’s life. Angst, a lot of smut, brief klance. (5 chapters.)

Compliance – Kidnapped AU. Modern setting. Shiro is held captive by his long-lost twin brother Ryou. After going into the adoption system as infants, they were split up. Shiro wasn’t aware he had a twin until he was staring him in the face. Apparently, Ryou had been keeping tabs on him from afar for over a year. He happened to access Shiro’s patient file and felt he could do a better job taking care of Shiro than his current doctors were. Ryou only wants the best for his brother and that means he can’t leave his sight. Still, he does have to work, and being confined he knows Shiro is bound to get lonely. Ryou decides he should get a boyfriend for Shiro, and he found the perfect one. Keith has been recently released from the psych ward. He had no family or friends. He was fired from his job and probably couldn’t even pay for his hospital bill or antidepressants he clearly needed. They could keep each other company. Their living quarters would be cozy, the basement wasn’t tiny by any means…but two people trapped on the same floor, they’d have to share. Ryou wasn’t a monster, the basement was nicer than any apartment that either could afford. The chains were temporary, an exercise of trust if you will. They’ve had yet to earn his. Strength in Gentleness – Shiatsu massage therapist & Reiki master Shiro/autistic Keith. Modern setting. Keith often hangs out at his mom’s work. Recently her and Kolivan’s business has moved location and joined with Allura’s salon. They also hired a new bodyworker that Keith develops a crush on. Fluffy, slice of life, hurt/comfort, humor. Music heavy, I kid you not, every chapter will have a playlist. Lots of cute Krolia and Keith moments. Giving all “The Blades” a happy lifetime. Probably the fluffiest thing I’ll ever write. It won’t be 100% free of trauma, but Shiro has healed and Keith and Krolia have processed their grief. Anxiety and meltdowns can get a bit intense. (Chapters TBD)

cielois childhood friends au??

this au just came to me this morning but like...consider

When O!Ciel was a kid, he spent a lot of long days trapped in the manor, too sick to participate in his brother's adventures or accompany his parents. He was very lonely, of course, and isolated...that is, until a peasant boy from a neighboring estate appeared one day in his garden! That, of course, being Jim Macken!

So, O!Ciel and Jim become close friends. At first their relationship is sort of transactionary, as Jim originally came to the manor to steal some medicine to help his sickly brother, Luka. However, O!Ciel gets that to him, and eventually when Luka is better, Jim decides he ought to meet O!Ciel too. So together they hide in the gardens of the manor and, over time, become very sweet childhood friends. For most of their time together, Luka usually ends up falling asleep (it's peaceful, he's never felt fuller safe before, on the streets, and also he's like 5) so O!CIel and Jim form a particularly special bond...and O!Ciel's parents (as well as his brother) have no idea what he's actually up to!

Fast forward some time, and O!Ciel sees smoke rising from the hills. The canon anime events have taken place, and Jim's village is in flames. Jim runs to the Phantomhive manor and begs O!Ciel to help him find Luka. So, O!Ciel sneaks away from his parents and follows Jim into what best can be described as literal hell. There, they don't get far, but find Luka's body.

Ciel's parents - who realized he was missing and tracked him down - appear. They carry him away, despite his struggling, and he's incapable of telling them about Jim. The smoke from the fire has clogged his lungs and affected his asthma. He can't breathe, let alone cry...

This is only a few weeks before the incident involving the massacre and the cult. The story picks up at its original pace...until some 3 years later, O!Ciel gets a letter from a nearby count, requesting to pay him a visit. He agrees and...low and behold, standing on his doorstep is none other than Alois Trancy.

SO!!!! I have a lot of ideas for this!! Specifically about the boys reuniting and, maybe, Ciel having an innocent little-kid crush on "Jim" back when they were children. Since Ciel is so emotionally suppressed, the only way I can imagine him forming a romantic bond is if the feelings were actually pre-established from before his trauma. Before I realized I was gay, I used to stare at the girls (I'm generally a bit more sapphic leaning, agender nonbinary people lets go!) in my 4th-5th grade classes and think about how their faces were so pretty and "perfect" so I was thinking something kind of similar to that ("wow this peasant boy looks like he could model for paintings...anyway").

growing up AFAB, i had some sort of connection to masculinity that transcended "tomboyhood" which i couldn't explain at the time. i knew i liked boys and masculine people but always felt like it was in a different way than "other (straight) girls." i didnt really get it until i started watching and reading naruto, which was the first ever anime/manga i had ever watched/read. early on in the show, the two main characters (naruto and sasuke) accidentally kissed as a gag, but when i watched it i was like "........... i wanna be like them.........." and that was how i learned about "yaoi/BL (boys' love) " aka the japanese term for media featuring homosexual relationships between two men. i learned that shipping sasuke and naruto together was really popular (and honestly, the entire series is basically SasuNaru: the show even if the creator didnt specifically intend it to be that way, he's just misogynistic enough to make the only meaningful relationships between men only LOL) and that there was a lot of fanart featuring them together, and that there are a bunch of manga and ships out there that were yaoi too, and i found comfort in SasuNaru, BL media, and yaoi ships in the other shows i grew to like. thank you naruto for teaching me that i liked boys in a "boy way" HAHAHAHAH

n harmonia from pokemon black and white changed the trajectory of my life. i strongly believe that it was because of him that i am transmasc LMAO. i dont really know now what exactly about him made me want to be him so badly, but i remember when i was 11 i ended up making him my entire identity… i used him as a faceclaim on tumblr and saying he was literally me, i used his name as mine, and started using he/they pronouns for the first time. i also identified as agender at the time. something about him changed pokemon gays forever because i know im not the only one who was affected by him LOL

it got a bit more complicated in terms of gender identity when i realized that, although feeling like "boy" i didnt believe i was a "man" and didnt feel comfortable seeing myself as explicitly male. i found comfort in characters like haruhi fujioka from ouran high school host club and naoto shirogane from persona 4, who are both afab but gender nonconforming with more "boyish" looks and mannerisms rather than "manly" ones. their character arcs also specifically addressed gender and gender expression and opened up my mind to the idea of gender as a performance. they helped me realize i am nonbinary and that i could be both, neither, any, in between, whatever and that it both didnt have to matter and that it could be everything to be nothing or anything

the character archetype of “bishounen” aka “beautiful boy,” depicting men of androgynous/feminine beauty, also brought me a lot of clarity in terms of the way i felt transmasc. howl from howl’s moving castle, kurama from yu yu hakusho, kurapika from hunter x hunter, marth from fire emblem, and most importantly ciel phantomhive from black butler (who has been canonically depicted in drag multiple times) are characters that have made me scream “I WANT HIS GENDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR."  they helped me realize that the way i wanted to be masculine and what masculinity meant to ME, regardless of what other people define as masculine, was different, and that i could express masculinity in a way that wasn’t typical
