Why, yes, I'm using Artfight as an excuse to foist my Malev OC onto y'all- (desc from his character profile below)

James Anderson is a Malevolent OC who serves Kayne for purposes he's pretty sure is either just for entertainment or a twisted desire to feed on his suffering. Either way he can't bring himself to care anymore. He used to be a doctor but drifted from his profession when he failed to save his wife from tuberculosis. In the years that followed he got involved with a lot of cultic stuff and calls on Kayne to save him during a ritual gone terribly wrong. Ever since he's been bound to him.

He was just made on a whim while I was chatting with a friend of mine and he just. grew on me I guess lasdfjadlsfjkl Asks and attacks about him are appreciated but not required <3

in an exercise for motivation, i’m making the decision to share my OC team of the USC Trojans! this started years ago, wayyyy pre-TSC announcement, as a background for a Jerejean fic called 'Steady Now' but well. as OCs are wont to do, it got out of hand realllll fast. now everyone's got a complex backstory AND storyline!

in bold are my OCs, ready for you to be introduced to ; in regular are Nora Sakavic's characters, but i painted them with my watercolors so you should absolutely ask me about them too!! if there is [redacted], that character's not ready to be born yet! or sometimes it's just an issue of final name... if the name is underlined or has numbers beside it, it means i've provided some lore already, but you should def ask more about them, always!!

What will I write?

Simple, I'll write almost anything. I focus mainly on darker fics because that's what I'm good at, which means smut and yandere themes are totally on the table. HOWEVER. I will NOT write scat, incest, or anything like that. I also do not write for furry readers, I tried once and I'm just not good at it. I know I haven't delivered ch 33, and it's not because of anons. I just didn't feel like writing. So, instead I offer a teeny bit of the Nightmarket AU.

Veronica Clark

Half Siren. This gives her the ability to transform, like how mermaids can transfer from ocean to land. She had webbed ears, webbed hands, and scales scattered across her body in human form. Her scales are iridescent in the light and have this blue-green ombre effect. Her hair is brown.

She and her father live in a cove on the beach inside an abandoned houseboat. Ronnie sleeps in the bathtub most of the time, while her father sleeps on the broken bed.

Seeing as she is part siren, she is a night creature. It isn't that her species can't go out during the day, but for centuries, sirens have preferred the nighttime, and as such, their bodies have evolved to see better at night. In some cases, sirens might have thin skin, which makes it a problem for them to be out during the day.

Her diet consists mostly of fish, and she has a favorite sushi restaurant she frequents when the night market opens.

Lynette Smith

Gargoyle. Her species was said to come to life due to some form of magic, but no one knows where they come from. Made of some sort of unbreakable stone, gargoyles are thought to be guardians of day creatures.

It isn't like there's a rule prohibiting day and night creatures from going where they want. Although she is made of stone, and her wings don't flutter, she is surprisingly agile. For years, she practiced her dance routine and frequently performed on the street of the night market for the crowds.

She lives in a cathedral tower. The floor is sturdy enough to hold her, and her room is sparse. Rather shy, she tries to avoid other creatures.

She doesn't have a specific diet and eats at a lot of vendors or restaurants but prefers to cook her food at home.

Sarah James

Fairy. She can shrink her size and use that to enter her home. She lives in a hollowed-out tree trunk in a patch of forest dedicated to a woodland village. Fairies are day creatures, and she has never experienced the night market.

She frequents used bookstores and prefers to visit local businesses.

A family friend tried to use her magic to make money but didn't tell her it would be made for cash. She refrains from using her magic or granting blessings because she's afraid people will get too greedy.

Ashlynn Torres

Werecat. But, like werewolves, her species is dictated by the moon. Her form changes with the ever-changing phases of the moon. Most notably, she looks the most human during a new moon but looks the most beastly during a full moon. Her in-between form changes depending on if it's waxing or waning.

As a carnivore, she frequents butchers and vendors selling rare cuts of meat, but unironically, she prefers seafood. Unfortunately, she's lactose intolerant. She and Ronnie have crossed paths, but neither of them would know.

Calliope Anderson

Ghost. As apparitions, their forms are corporeal based on light infraction and absorption. Her species is more tangible during the day, so they are day creatures.

She lives in a graveyard! Her bed of dirt is rather comfortable, and although she is a loner, like most ghosts, she has two specific people with whom she spends time. They are the only people she spends time with.

Considering she is see-through, Callie adopts a faint glow depending on her emotion or its intensity. This betrays her quite often when she tries to play anything off.

Addison Tate

Another fairy! She lives in one of the fairy homes that human children made and loves to grant them sweet dreams.

During the day, she likes to visit Callie and spend time at the graveyard. It may seem dull and dreary, but that's only what it looks like initially.

She's only seen the night market once when she went to see Ronnie, but prefers not to unless she really needs to see her friend. It's not that she's scared of the night market, but it's a bit much and everything assaults her senses all at once. The night market is a celebration that makes her head spin.

I haven't really spoken about her that much but Becca is gonna be so important for future storylines so I need to talk about her.

Becca was born in Tulsa to an upper middle class, southern Baptist family. She grew up close with Ruby and Dylan. She was raised in a slightly conservative home.

Becca had always dreamed of the idea of being in love, working in the medical field and having a family of her own. She grew up watching her parents be happy with the lives they had chosen and wanted that for herself.

She has gotten really into fashion, music, and dancing in high school and middle school. She started doing ballet classes, sculpting, and learning the piano.

During her sophomore year, she and Elijah had started hanging out more. She had a crush on him during her freshman year when he moved to Tulsa. He had also started to notice her more. She liked Elijah because he was interesting, he had similar interests in music, he was entertaining and he liked her for the same reasons. They started dating soon after.

Becca and Elijah weren't really a great couple. Teenage Elijah wasn't a good boyfriend, he didn't believe in the idea of being in love, he had a flirtatious personality and that didn't really match Becca at all who was a hopeless romantic and believed she in Elijah were met to be. They broke up in their junior year.

After Becca graduated, she started dating another guy and marrying him 8 months into the relationship but divorced a year after. After her divorce, she moved to New York to study nursing she could start working as a pediatric nurse. When she was in NY, she had started dating a new man, Cameron Anderson. He was a med student and they got married after 2 years of dating. She and Cameron had their daughter, Alexandra "Lexie" shortly after getting married.

Becca was very outgoing throughout her life. She loved partying, going to concerts, museums, etc. She loved making friends. She was very social and that was kind of a riff in her and Cameron's marriage.

Cameron wasn't really around as much because he was a hospital doctor and even when he was around, he was kind of an absent father leaving Becca to raise Lexie alone for a lot of their marriage. She and Cameron divorced when Lexie was 14. He didn't really want custody or wanted to see Lexie so Becca moved back to Tulsa with her.

Becca was a really good mother. She was still very outgoing even if she didn't go to parties and concerts as much, she always tried to spend as much time with Lexie as possible. When Lexie was 16, Becca had met her 3rd husband Malcolm. They got married 2 years later and they ended up being super happy. Lexie was really happy too.

Backstory: Hope’s mother was a nun named Margaret in Rome, Italy. She was only 24 years old when had a miraculous pregnancy. At first the people from her convent believed she broke her vows and slept with a man. The Doctors confirmed that Margaret was indeed still a virgin.

Once Hope was born she was raised in the church and they kept her miraculous birth a secret from her. The young child had gifts and eventually catches the attention of The Supreme Cordelia Goode and her coven of witches believing that she was one herself.

Hopes Grandmother, was a witch who attended Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. So, it wasn’t too far off for them to believe that she was a witch herself. That is where she officially meets The Antichrist Michael Langdon. As a child she used to dream of a blonde boy named Michael. She was terrified to learn that he was real.

both he and Nikita have a steady relationship with their longtime girlfriends, so much so that Levi talks to Nikita about proposing to his gf after graduation

one day though the 4 of them get into a car/boating accident that kills Levi's girlfriend and seriously injures Nikita's; Levi and Nikita are somehow miraculously the least damaged

it's a rough fucking patch for Levi (and Nikita, but that's a story for another day!)

enter Angie Pullman, Trojans recruit (ask!!! me!!!)

both men are immediately drawn to her, and inevitably it ends up in a big fight that creates a (temporary) rift between Levi and Nikita

luckily it ends up being an Adam/Gansey/Blue/Ronan situation (do you see where i'm going with this?)

because the thing is, there's this guy, Anderson [subject to change] Atwell

Anderson’s really been there for Levi after the accident, bc he's been much more of a confidant to Levi than any of the team's therapists, probably because he's not a therapist; and then the shit with Angie and Nikita really isolates Levi, and slowly Anderson can't help but wanting to help Levi as much as he can, more than assistant coaches probably normally feel...

so Levi's not as straight as he thought, not in love with Angie like that like he thought, much more in love with Nikita than he always thought, and definitely, definitely super hard in love with his assistant coach (you see the Adam/Blue/Gansey/Ronan pattern?) (except there is nothing whatsoever between Nikita and Anderson. in fact Nikita probably hates him a little bit actually. fr fr.)

also before anyone sends me anon hate about my own OCs, the Levi-Anderson age gap is 22-30, so calm downnnn

so yeah Levi & Anderson, once they're all in and go all out, are disgustingly happy; but the hurdles are many and exhausting (i have another ask incoming for Coach Rhemann, which will coincidentally explain really well said obstacles)

i would say, apart from Jean Moreau himself obv and Adèle Moreau, Levi is the most tragic Trojan :(

especially because he used to be such a goofy ass mf, and so hyped about Exy on and off the court, before the accident, and nowadays he's much more a shell of himself, doesn't care much about Exy outside the court, always plays his very best but his heart's not into it, feels disconnected from his team and teammates, etc.

Anderson's the one to lead him back to his love for the sport <3

Jeremy did try very hard as his captain to reignite the flame inside Levi, of course, but let's say he had a little less incentive than with the Frenchman... if ya know what i mean... but Levi's just glad even his captain never gave up on him

originally Levi was named Reuben Muller and he was German-American? but i decided to split the character in 2 and thus Levi & Nikita were born!

his bestfriend, apart from Nikita who has known since birth almost, is Jack Driver; they hit it off instantly the first time they practice together on the court (it also helps that Jack is both a moron and a wise man. very in touch with his feelings. it just depends if his brain cells are activated or taking a nap…)

once the drama settles down Angie also becomes one of his close friends

did i mention his ADHD? oh he has big big big ADHD… he often forgets his meds, and he’s prone to lash out (mostly at himself) or zone out, but Exy really helps a lot with both his bottomless restless energy and his self-worth <3

on the meds thing: that was such a battle. for everyone involved. Levi, the doctors, his gf, his parents, Nikita... it was just barely starting to go well when the accident happened, and well. the step from ADHD to depression is already so small, Levi had no chance. but he's climbing up the hill again now :)

so Levi's kind of the dark version of Jeremy, or like a past younger iteration of Jeremy before he got to be the Captain Sunshine we know and love (and that's partly why Jeremy has trouble connecting w him, befriend him, even look at him sometimes); he doesn't talk much anymore, except to fight and curse, but then he turns around and drops by with a pan of brownies for the new girl because he saw her eating one all alone and sad in the athletes' hall, you know? he's very hard to pin down, even more so now that the constants in his life have been taken away or flipped :/ but he's a precious dude, trust me!
