Pio: Pio is very big on table top/miniature games. He may be a muscular man, but he has a careful, gentle hand, and can paint tiny figures with the utmost precision. He also loves board games, and gets very competitive (it does feel good to trounce his brothers in these games, especially because they aren't very good at them!).

Mia: Mia loves stories, and when the twins were born, she created little picture books for both of them, filled with illustrations and tissue paper covered pages. They were such beautiful creations and she still has them ^^

A lot can be said from how someone express themselves through texting, so this is just some crack / light headcanons !

Not really based on a single version per say, more that turtles have been deprived of social interaction for the majority of their life and I think texting them would be an very interesting experience lol

Ryuji Goda

Decent at texting but his reply times are terrible. He often just forgets to check his phone. Even if he sees the notification, he's the type of person to think "Oh I'll reply to them soon" and forget because he feels in his brain as if he did already reply by just thinking about it. Sends lots of pictures of clothes, jewelry, and the like and asks what your opinions are on them. He knows what emojis are but can never decipher what emotion they are actually trying to convey. Absolutely not up to date on texting slang and tends to type pretty formally.

Ryuji: I meant to text back earlier but I ended up forgetting because I was so busy, my apoliogies.

Probably the fastest texter of all the characters and the quickest to reply. He's usually good at being up to date on more modern things, at least better than Kiryu is. Flirtatious texter and most likely to send "You up?" texts. Totally loves sending you selfies when he's really feeling himself. Also sends pictures of really good views he finds, like from a rooftop in Kamurocho with a great view of the city lights.

Daigo Dojima

Primarily uses his phone for work so he's pretty quick to check notifications or respond to messages. Prefers phone calls as he can hear your voice and it makes for a nice break from all the other mundane calls or important emails at work. Rarely if ever sends pictures via text and selfies make him camera shy but if you're very close to him, you could totally twist his arm into participating. Surprisingly has a decent grasp on emojis.

Mine Yoshitaka

The worst texter. He's super dry in his responses, never uses emojis, and is very good at forgetting to check his texts. He mostly uses his cell phone for work so when he isn't work, he has notifications silenced. However, if you're very important to him, he will enable the buzzer on his phone so you can get through to him. In contrast, he's the best at taking pictures of you using a cell phone. Never has his phone out during meals as he doesn't want to be rude. Would prefer to video chat the most as it's the next best thing to actually seeing you.

Mine: Sorry, I was working out.

Rules for Writing Below!

General Rules for Requesting / interacting with my writing

I will accept critiques and corrections about my writing, if I, for example, make a headcanon that a character with dyed hair is naturally blonde, I have no issues with someone saying 'their natural hair colour was confirmed to be brown.', things like spelling mistakes, etc.

I prefer to write headcanons, but I will also write oneshots. I struggle with longer series and they'll take longer but, if you give a heavy description and give me a way to tell you while writing how I'm doing, I will write long oneshots or even full fics.

Please be specific! Just telling me 'can I have (insert character or media here) fanfic thanks' is very unhelpful, I need an idea or description of what you want me to write.

I will take a very long time, I have had some requests from over a year ago I still haven't been able to finish. Please just keep that in mind, I don't like to disappoint people

I'll only write for gender neutral, male and non-binary readers, I won't write for fem readers.

I Will Write

I'll write both platonic or romantic headcanons / oneshots / series. If you want it romantic, use boyfriend, s/o / significant other, partner, lover, etc, for the reader or character you want to be paired with the character of your choosing. If you don't specify I'll assume it's platonic.

I'll write crossovers with other series or an isekai situation, like 'reader who's Spider-Man gets sucked into the Baldur's Gate 3 universe' or 'reader from our world who's now in the Spider-Man 2 universe'.

I'll write described personality or physical traits for the reader, such as 'reader who's confident', 'reader with punk clothing', 'reader with long hair', etc.

I'll write about adoption or just a general parent + kid relationship between characters / character(s) and the reader.

I'll write age regression, but I can only write for a regressor reader and a caregiver character.

I'll write angst, fluff, long winded stories with more than one, etc. Just nothing sexual.

I'll write for ocs, but only if you describe them as in depth as you can.

I'll write for X Readers and X Characters, including poly ships or X Readers.

I'll write SFW platonic and romantic character alphabets.

I Won't Write

I won't write for sexual assault / harassment and rape, I am fine with it if it's previous character trauma being comforted, but nothing that's romanticised or even done by a character.

I won't write cheating done by a character or forgiven and treated as 'just a mistake' or even romantically.

I won't write the reader being a biological child of a character / the reader having biological children.

I won't write any heavy power imbalances, servant / slave and master, boss and employee, etc.

I won't write for more than six characters, six or below is my limit per headcanon.

I won't write romantically for any character under 14.

I won't write NSFW / smut, whatever you prefer to call it.

I won't write any pregnancy or childbirth mentions.

I won't write for diapered age regression.

Rules for Profile Pictures Below!

I won't be putting a pride flag behind a character that doesn't align with their canon sexuality, for example, I won't put a lesbian pride flag behind Felicia Hardy.

I'll do pride flags or things like the ocean, a simple colour pattern, a single colour background, etc, just ask for what you want.

I'll do multiple characters in both a romantic and platonic context.

I won't put more than three characters in a profile picture.

I'll use characters or animals, say a shark for example.

I won't use any political flags or backgrounds.

I won't use any sexual or violent imagery.

I won't use real people.

NORMA NATIVIDAD

norma would be an octoling, and she'd main whatever's "meta defining" at the time instead of just picking a weapon she thinks is neat. what's the point if it's not the best!!

she has main character syndrome i think. she's EXTREMELY bossy and takes the game too seriously. she orders around her team (take the left flank!! cover me while i get the rainmaker!! nooo don't go over there i need you over here defending!!!!) and her instructions are almost always geared toward her getting her teammates to clear a path for her to take all the glory...it never quite goes well. she insists it's her genius planning and direction that gets her team to win matches but she couldn't be more wrong. she also probably blames her teammates when stuff goes wrong. you didn't coordinate well enough!! you didn't listen!!

her favorite mode is rainmaker and her locker is actually pretty neat looking. she shows off all her perfect gear in there and would probably have some of the amiibo items too. she's B- rank.

LIZZIE NATIVIDAD

lizzie is also an octoling causeee sisters! she'd be a skirmisher/slayer and be really good at baiting other players into unsafe situations where she or someone else on her team can splat them easily. SCARY good at getting people to tunnel and commit too hard to trying to fight her and not realize it till they're already respawning. she'd main something aggressive but mobile so she can get away easy, like octobrush. oh my GOD would she be infuriatingly good at sharking. comes out of nowhere and you're dead before you can blink.

i don't think she takes the game very seriously at ALL, polar opposite of norma, so she never really tilts or blames anyone when she loses. it's just a loss. she might be a sore winner though. i can see her being the type to make fun of her opponents like LMAOOO look at this loser on the jet squelchers aiming at the ground 💀 who let this kid play

anyways her fav mode would be tricolor battle. shes built different like that. she's B+ rank and pokes fun at norma about it sometimes.

SAM BOOLE

sam is an inkling, she plays slayer. blaster main. she. is. terrifying. she's the one who averages like 20 kills per game. she's the one picking off anyone who dares to touch the rainmaker or step onto the tower or make a single power clam. she is an unstoppable force. i don't think it comes from a place of Intense Focus And Practice though. she strikes me as the type of player to sorta just zone out and have fun without thinking too hard about it, and everyone keeps asking what strats she uses to be able to pull off all the insane plays she does and she just. shrugs.

i think her and raz as a slayer/skirmisher duo would be a force to be reckoned with, like, you see these two together on the enemy team and you're DOOMED. coach oleander is so proud of sam's natural killing machine talent but also a little bit terrified.

her favorite mode is turf war cause it's nice and straightforward. her locker is one of the less mainstream colors like brown or maybe that dark teal color, and it's thoughtfully decorated with cool stickers and stuff. there's definitely one of those furbies in there. very eclectic decor but she makes it work for suresies. she's rank A+. i think she would play salmon run a LOT as well just cause she thinks the salmonids are neat looking.

GISU NERUMEN

gisu gives me more inkling vibes even though octoling might fit her hair better. seems like the kinda player who doesn't really care about weapon roles and just goes for whatever feels the most fun to play. i think she'd play reeflux! there's a lot of cool stuff you can do with that weapon and potential for lots of trick shots. she'd be sort of like sam and lizzie in that she's pretty easy-going while playing, but i don't think she'd be immune to tilting, especially not when they're 30 seconds away from winning and the other team pulls some insane play that completely turns the tables. she doesn't hold onto a loss for long though and she's pretty good about getting back on track.

she'd totally be the type of player to post a million clips of her getting wipeouts or narrowly escaping getting splatted or those aformentioned trick shots btw. she lives for those highlight compilation worthy moments.

i think she'd be around rank A+ and her favorite mode might beeee... tower control. her locker would either be super sick or she'd use it to do one of those silly jokes with the moai head.

MORRIS MARTINEZ

morris strikes me as an inkling type fella. i think he wouldn't really like the stress of the front lines and would rather play an anchor weapon. something swagful like e-liter. he'd be convinced that the song that plays during matches affects his performance. of course we lost, they were playing headhammer. of course i did crazy good that round, they were playing ska-blam!!! (i'm the same actually. i always play well when a yoko and the gold bazookas song is on.) he's a pretty chill player but definitely gets put off by spikes in difficulty and might take long breaks from matches altogether because "the other teams are way too sweaty."

he'd probably range from C+ to A- rank at any given time depending how much he's bothered to play that season. his favorite mode would be splat zones since it's one of the less crazy ones, easier to follow what's going on. while gisu would only maybe probably do a joke locker, morris would TOTALLY do one But. he'd also decorate the outside properly so it's both silly and cool.

ADAM JOSEPH GETTE

octoling. or frankly... if we want to get devious and break the rules... inktoling?!?!?! like morris he's not so aggressive, but instead of it being because he can't handle the front lines i think it would be that he just has more fun playing support. he'd probably main a few weapons, like n-zap '89, splat roller, and tenta brella. he would spend a loooot of effort putting good abilities on fashionable outfits so he can look just as fresh as he plays. he likes learning so he'd get an advantage in the game by absorbing a TON of information about the best ways to use specials, map strategies, weaknesses of other weapons, all that good stuff. he's the kinda guy that always shows up right when you need someone to cover you, and has probably saved a good amount of games by being on point with his support.

he's S rank so y'know he's kiiiind of a big deal... kind of a big shot... big cheese... top dog... he says this all jokingly but norma always fumes at it. his favorite mode? oohhh don't make him choose...they're all fun for their own reasons!! he'd spend lots of time decorating his locker, using the stickers to make funky designs with heavy consideration for the color scheme. he'd probably incorporate the newspaper-y mixed media style stickers from story mode in there somehow. it would have kind of a vintage feel?

Happy Pride 2024!

For this month I will be taking emoji requests plus an LGBTQ+ Granblue Fantasy ship! These do NOT have to be romantic (QPR, friends, etc, but I will be doing them as romantic unless otherwise said so).

Opinion-sies

Introducing Opinion-sies (title is a WIP), where you can submit all of your Newsies opinions, headcanons and hot takes.

This game is purely for FUN and negativity of any kind will not be tolerated. Every is allowed to have their own opinions/headcanons and they are all valid, that's my favorite part about fandom culture (especially the newsies fandom because you guys are always so kind all respectful of everyone's ideas <3).

Edit: Also thought I'd mention that this is not a competition in any way, I just thought this would be a fun thing to do

How to submit something:

Using my ask box tell me your newsies opinion, headcanon, hot take or whatever you wanna call it. I'll reply with a poll with options agree, neutral, disagree and no opinion/see results. This allows others to vote for however the feel about the submission.

Submission rules:

All submissions must begin with the flame emoji (🔥) so I know you are submitting and not just a regular ask

Keep everything Newsies related or it will be deleted

Do not spam submissions (like 2 or 3 a day max please)

Nothing NSFW (this is Newsies the characters are literally children)
