I Hate The New Hero!
Pt 5: What?!
Finally getting home from your patrol you sneak through the window of your bedroom and collapse onto your bed. After the call you decided that your patrol was done.
Frankly you're still coming to terms with the fact that Batman and his protogese are the same people who are essentially praying on your civilian self's downfall yet adoring your vigilante persona like it's the greatest thing in the world.
Though, now that you really think about it, it makes sense. Bruce Wayne is the richest man alive, he'd be able to afford to do this, they have the same amount of members as the heroes, same builds and heights, actually... Basically everything matches up.
Not to mention the fact that your senses goes off around both group members!
From outside your small room door you hear your parents arguing again - more like your mother yelling and your dad breaking things and stomping his foot. It was probably your dad's fault again. Don't get you wrong, you love your family! It's just that they're dysfunctional.
Your dad has a massive drinking problem that landed him working as a goon for Black Mask, he's struggled with his temper for years after he got hit a bit too hard in the head by Batman. Pair that with the fact that he's mute and he's a force to be reckoned with.
Your mom is always busy and rarely ever home, when she is she couldn't be bothered to interact with you unless you got into trouble. She grew up rich, often talking about how she went to the same school as Bruce Wayne and how she was a popular cheerleader before her life fell apart. She doesn't talk much on the topic but it's clear she holds distain for your father and, by extension, you.
You sigh to yourself, you need to shower. That means you need to get past them without them bringing you into it. Or you just don't shower for the night and have one tomorrow...
Your mom screams something out about not throwing knives and you decide to just shower tomorrow morning.
You change out of your costume and hide it safely under a loose floorboard, you change into your pajamas and get into bed. Today was a massive mental drain and physical drain.
...
You awake to a knock at the front door. Your parents usually ignore it and make you answer when someone knocks because "you're dispensable" as they say. Looking at the clock on the wall of the kitchen you see it's around 7am.
Groggily making your way to the door you look through the peep hole and see Tim standing awkwardly on the other side with a guy next to him, the guy next to him being so big and tall that you could only see a small part of his chest and arm.
You curse to yourself quietly, this is by far the worst luck you've ever had.
You open the door and look at the two. Now seeing the other guy the thing that stands out is a stripe of white hair on his head. Instantly you know it's Jason Todd.
You aren't an idiot. He's the only one in the family built like how he is - not including Bruce.
"What do you want?" You ask, annoyed. Tim chuckles weakly, as if nervous. "Wayne Enterprises wishes to give your mother her letter of departure." You blink once, then twice. "Huh? Letter of departure? The fuck does that mean?" You mutter, genuinely confused.
Jason scoffs, "it means your dear mother is losing her job, kid." He states uncaring of how blunt he's being. Tim elbows him and hisses something about being more considerate.
You don't listen, all noise becoming white noise. Why is she being fired? She works hard, she dedicates her time, she does her best! Is this because you have beef with Tim? That's not fair!
She's the only stable source of income, without that job you all would be living on the streets. You've heard AND seen so many horror stories about teens living on the streets, it's something you'd pray never happened to you. But now it's entirely probable.
So, in a moment of desperation you grip Tim by his shoulders "Please! You can't fire her! We'll end up homeless! She works all the time, she tries! My mother will improve if you ask, she needs this job. The whole family does!"
Tim seems shocked by this, his posture stiffening. Jason looks on guard, as if assessing whether he should step in, though he doesn't seem fond of the idea. You wouldn't doubt that he was made to accompany Tim as a body guard.
Tim opens his mouth, then closes it, then opens it again. Clearly he wasn't expecting you to beg for your mother to keep her job.
"Uh... Look, I don't mean any harm by it, it's just that we need to make way for brighter minds..." He stumbles slightly over his words as if making the excuse up on the spot.
You won't back down however. "Tim, please, I desperately need you to realize this. I. Will. Die. On. The. Streets." Probably not true because of your mutation but the fear remains. "Please, I'll do anything for you to not do this! I already promised Bruce to stop talking bad about Aranea!" You please desperately.
Tim glances to Jason who quirks a brow and shrugs. The sound of movement from behind you makes your eyes widen and behind you you see your dad approaching, you were probably too loud.
He glares at you before yanking your hair so you move away from Tim and remove your clutches on him. You hiss in pain at the feeling but bow your head down.
Your dad eyes the two boys before looking to the paper in Tim's hands. He instantly knows what's going on and storms down the hallways of the complex to do who-knows what. That scares you. Your dad is unpredictable.
After some silence Tim speaks up. "Are you okay? Your dad pulled your hair pretty tightly..." You look down, ashamed. You couldn't even bother putting your walls up and defending your pride. Your life is basically falling apart at the seams.
"... I'll do anything for you to not fire my mother..." You mutter meekly, a far cry from how you usually act, something Tim notices immediately. He sighs to himself, he debates the odds. Maybe if he doesn't fire (Reader)'s mother then they can be even. The feud can end, it was pointless on your part to begin with for hating someone so sweet and kind, then hating him who defends the innocent.
"Fine. Your mother can stay, but, it may not be permanent. I suggest she find elsewhere in the mean time." Tim states before walking off. Jason takes a second to stare at your relived form, the slight smile of disbelief and look of relief in your eyes. He then leaves with Tim.
You close the door to the apartment and sink to the floor. That was terrifying. You'll have find a way of telling your mother the news before she goes into work in two hours.
You're officially having the day off from school and patrol today.

AITA for putting a hit out on an ex friend’s dnd character?
A few years ago I [M 18] was the link between two different online friend circles along with my longtime friend A [M 22]. Essentially, both A and I ran two different dnd campaigns that acted as a melting pot between our two friend groups. It was really fun, super casual stuff. Enter C [M 19], who was originally one of my friends and played in both groups. Over time it became clear that C was, to put it lightly, not a great person. At the time, I was a really new DM and struggled a lot with my self confidence. C was a super disruptive player in my group, going off the rails and generally trying to undermine both me and other players. I tried to sort it out between sessions, but it didn’t end up working out. It came to a head where I ended up shutting down my campaign, claiming school got to be too much, but in reality I just couldn’t deal with C’s behaviour. It was a really big blow to my self confidence at the time.
At this point a lot of people had been cutting out C for various other things like this - generally being disrespectful and callous, not taking responsibility for harm he caused, etc. Pretty soon the only times I was interacting with C directly was during A’s campaign.
A, who wasn’t 100% aware of the situation, came and talked to me after a session one day about why I’d shut down my campaign, and I told him everything about how I was feeling. He was really understanding, and said that he got the feeling that I probably didn’t want C around anymore, and neither did he. I agreed, so A offered to ‘sort out some stuff with C’s character’ and shuffle him out of the group. I made a joke about wanting C’s character to die, in a pretty flippant way, and the conversation diverted.
This is where things get kind of weird.
So, at the time, I was expecting A to just talk with C and kick him out of the group in between sessions, but that didn’t end up happening. C was at the next session just as planned, and continued to show up for several weeks. During this time A, and I really don’t know how else to describe this, pulled some Machiavellian scheme on C’s character as the DM to ruin his life. A wove in this story where C’s character got this evil mask shard of a dead god, and played on C’s want to sabotage other players & go his own way in a very ‘lone rogue’ way to isolate him from the group and get him involved in all these evil deeds (killing minor npcs, etc). None of our characters knew about this in character, but A dropped all these hints and the context lined up to make it seem like C’s character was slowly going insane. C, unable to communicate in or out of character, backed up this idea by refusing to talk about the god IC or OOC. Eventually this god fragment lead to the death of C’s character when an overpowered assassin struck him down, in a fight that felt very ‘well this could’ve been a party boss but because you didn’t tell anyone, you died’. Immediately following this the party found out about C’s character’s evil deeds, meaning he wouldn’t be mourned by the party. The whole death felt so… hollow. It really felt like C had ended up in this situation because of their own hubris. But they hadn’t.
A had masterminded the whole thing. He’d given me live updates about his plan to essentially manufacture a situation where C’s character died a miserable death that felt totally deserved in the eyes of the other party members. And then we all just blocked C anyway???
I’ve never seen someone manipulate somebody like that in my life before and I’ve never seen anything like it again. I’ve never told anyone else in the group that the death was masterminded by A because of my petty grudge about my failed campaign. I don’t speak to either A or C now but I still feel bad about not doing something. Should I have just told A to kick C way before this?? I had no clue it would spiral into actual months of chess mastering his demise!!
What are these acronyms?

Jihoon tried harder than anyone knew to be a kind, respectable, dependable, respectable person. And, generally speaking, people thought he did a good job. He knew he was a workaholic, spent too much time cooped up in his studio working on songs for his group, for other musicians, for nobody but himself, but his studio was one of the only places that Jihoon generally felt he was at his best. He was good at that, good at making music that made people feel things, that told a story. He was proud of that.
So he was especially proud when he was introduced to you, all bright eyed and bushy tailed as you were introduced as a new producer working under Pledis entertainment. It meant the two of you would work closely together. He knew that part of the reason you'd been hired was to help take some of the stress off of him. So it was hard not to appreciate your presence in his place of solitude.
You were so sickeningly sweet sometimes, doting on him and the members, coming with snacks or full meals or even just coffees in hand - though when you brought him coffee, you also brought him a bottle of water, insisting that hydration was just as important as caffeination. He probably would have been annoyed if it was anyone else, but Jihoon found it incredibly difficult to be annoyed with you.
Maybe the best part of having you work with him was that you were an amazing producer. He was amazed to find out that you hadn't produced for any big name artists yet, that you yourself had been shocked at being hired by Pledis, applying on a whim. You challenged his ideas, managing to bring out the best creations he thought he'd ever made, and you bounced ideas off of him so easily. Most of all, he was enamored with the way that you understood him, you got the way his brain worked, the way he created.
An album later and the two of you were an inseparable team. Which, unfortunately for Jihoon, was beginning to threaten his kind, respectable nature. Because there you were in his studio, the lights casting glows across your skin, across your exposed collarbones and your pretty, soft face, and your hair was pulled back into a ponytail that he was becoming desperate to wrap his hand in. Because as much as he wanted to be a good person, you brought out a downright perverted side of him. He'd been struggling for weeks as the two of you worked on writing a song for another artist together. He'd become too aware of the way you tapped your pen against your pretty lips, and the way that you whined when you stretched your back, and the way that your eyes rolled to the back of your head when you got frustrated with your work.
"Hoon?" You asked, waving a hand in front of his face. He blinked, suddenly very aware of how close you were, that he could smell the honey and cinnamon shampoo you used, and that he could see straight down the front of your shirt where your tits were pushed together. Oh, and the way that his cock was twitching to life, beginning to fill out in his sweatpants. He cleared his throat, eyes snapping up to yours. "What's going on in your head? You haven't heard a word of what I said."
He opened his mouth, finding himself at a loss for words because, honestly, he couldn't even explain what was going on in his head if he wanted to. He shook his head, moving his chair a little further from you and turning back to the track he'd been working on.
"Nothing, just tired."
"You should rest, we've been here all day. Take a nap, I'll order some food," You said, standing up to nudge him towards the couch. He shook his head, shrugging your hand off his shoulder. You pouted, grabbing his chair instead and spinning him around. He felt a wave of panic wash through him, fully aware of how achingly hard he was now that he was exposed to you.
"Seriously, I'm fine. Don't worry so much. Let's just finish this." He said, face beginning to warm. You narrowed your eyes at him, scanning his face. "Y/N,"
"What?"
"Stop looking at me like that." He said, voice tight and dropping lower than you'd heard it. You suppressed a shiver.
"Like what?" You asked him, but of course you knew. You'd been trying to push him to stop staring at you and actually make a move for months now, but he was so goddamn respectful, so absolutely devoted to being kind that he was willing to overlook every blatantly flirty remark and too-intimate touch.
"Like you want me to do something we'll both regret." He said, clenching his jaw. You leaned closer, one of yours hands moving slowly up the length of his arm, over the muscle of his shoulder, down the slope of his chest. So, so slowly that every second felt like it was a hundred heartbeats long when that's all that Jihoon could hear rushing in his ears.
"Who says I'll regret anything?" You asked, voice hardly above a whisper, and your eyes baring down on his. He fought the urge to kiss you, to pull you closer to him and say fuck all the rules and regulations. He choked back the burning desire that you were so willingly stoking.
"Y/N,"
"Would you regret it?" You asked him, reaching up to tip his chin up, dipping your head closer until you could feel his shaky breath against your cheek. "Tell me you don't want to touch me. Say it and we act like this never happened."
You gave him a beat, and then another. The tension drew tight as neither of you said anything. He watched you as you watched the slow parting of his lips, then watched them press back together in silence. You leaned in, pressing your lips to his and melting into the taste of him.
Instantly his hands found your waist, pulling you down onto his lap. You didn't break the kiss as you adjusted to straddle him in the chair, pressing yourself firmly against him as he pulled you closer. His tongue prodded against the seam of your lips, eagerly being welcomed inside. He tasted of soda and chewing gum, and you were addicted to it. Your hands found his hair, long enough now for him to tie up - not that he usually did unless he was deep in a track.
"Jihoon," You whined when he pulled away, bottom lip jutting out in a dramatic pout at the loss of his kiss. He hummed in response, mouth finding your jaw and leaving slow, warm kisses down the curve of it. You inhaled softly, your complaints dying on your tongue. He nipped at your pulsepoint, dragging his tongue over it before moving on to mark your skin just above the neckline of your shirt.
You pulled away, tugging the fabric over your head and tossing it onto your chair. He sighed at the sight of you bared for him, hands moving up your sides, higher to cup your breasts over the thin fabric of your bra. He swore he could look at you like this all day, memorize every scar and stretch mark and dip of your body. You, on the other hand, weren't half as patient. You reached behind you, unhooking your bra and letting it slide down your arms. Jihoon took it upon himself to discard the useless piece of fabric, dipping his head to kiss along the curve of your tits.
"Take these off, too." He said, pushing at the waistband of your sweatpants. You stood up, pushing them down your legs and kicking them aside before settling yourself on his lap again. He shifted your weight, settling you over one of his thighs, his shorts exposing enough skin that the only thing keeping him from the warmth of your core was the flimsy pair of panties you had on.
Jihoon cursed, feeling the way your hole leaked over his leg, soaking the fabric of your underwear.
"Need me so bad, don't you?" He asked, returning diligently to his self-appointed task of kissing over every inch of your chest. You nodded, words lost when his warm mouth wrapped around one of your nipples. Your hips rocked into the firm muscle of his thigh, desperate for any ounce of stimulation other than helplessly clenching your walls around nothing.
He gripped your hips tight, and you assumed it was to stop you from seeking your pleasure, but instead he pressed you harder into his thigh, tensing the muscles underneath you to perfectly drag against your clit. He teased his teeth over your nipple at the same time, and you closed your eyes. One of your hands returned to his hair, the other gripping at his shoulder to keep your balance.
With a steady, demanding hand, he guided you to grind against his thigh. You chewed on your lip, trying to keep your wits about you as you fucked yourself on his thigh. You didn't want to seem as desperate as your body was, but your dripping hole was giving you away, leaving a puddle of your arousal on his skin that he was a little bit addicted to.
"Let me hear you," He demanded, pulling his head away from your tits, and looking up into your eyes. Your stomach twisted and fluttered at the depth of his voice. You shook your head a little, nervous to be too loud despite the studio being soundproofed for production purposes. But Jihoon was having none of it.
He tugged your lip from between your teeth, hooking his thumb into your mouth and holding your face steady, eyes on him and body feeling too warm under his attention. His other hand didn't let up, still pushing and pulling you against him and rutting you down against him like a bitch in heat.
You whined, the sound coming out loud and clear and earning a satisfied look from Jihoon underneath you.
"Good girl," He praised, and your walls crumbled around you, every inhibition slipping out of your mind as you gave him more of what he wanted. He watched the way you followed his lead, half sucking on his thumb and half moaning around it as he got you off without hardly touching you at all.
"Please, need more." You mumbled, words slurred around his digit. He pulled it out, a trail of saliva smearing against your chin.
"No you don't, baby. You can cum like this. Try harder." He pushed you, using his spit-slicked thumb to play with your hardened nipples, circling over each one slowly, then the other, then back again while you chased your high. The burn in your thighs was getting to you, and your clit was throbbing with the desperate need to cum, to be full of him, but instead all you were getting was the grating stimulation of his leg against your clothed cunt.
You dropped your head against his shoulder, clinging to him and chasing the feeling of relief. He hummed, kissing the side of your head and bouncing his leg up against you, watching the way you shuddered in his arms at the stimulation.
"C'mon, know you can do it. Cum on my thigh like this and I'll fuck you. That's what you want, right? Just gotta cum first." He coaxed in your ear, and the sound of his voice sent you spiraling. You weren't even sure if it was his words or the way you were humping him, but your orgasm hit you like a train, knocking your breath out of you with a broken moan.
He slowed your hips down, letting you ride out your high and feeling the way you were literally dripping against him, warm and wet where your core was still fluttering against his thigh. He turned your head to press a kiss to your lips, this one much more gentle than the last.
"See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" He cooed, a proud glint in his eyes. You made it damn hard to be a respectable man when you looked so easy to ruin in his arms. But luckily for him, you didn't care about him being respectable, you just wanted him to take you the way you both wanted. The way you both would definitely not be regretting.

“We’d never want you to struggle alone”
SKZ-> ot8 x 9th member! reader
genre: angst wc: ~2100 cw: mentions of depression and death of family members, hatred for the holidays
Hi guys! Here’s my attempt at some Christmas/holiday angst. The fluffy Part 2 is posted and linked at the bottom of this post!
Feedback and likes/reblogs are greatly appreciated! I haven't got the chance to interact with too many people on here yet, so reach out if you'd like!
Happy scrolling!
Tumblr media
"Hey guys, I'm pretty tired. I think I'm gonna head to bed. Chan Oppa, I'm gonna go lay down in your room until everyone's ready to go back to our dorm," you wave off their comments asking you to stay with them and make your way to the leader's bedroom.
It's December 20th, and the guys are all gathered around the television in the 3Racha/Hyunjin dorm, binge watching Christmas movies. During a normal year, you'd all be at your own homes with your families, cozying up to the fireplaces and drinking hot chocolate with your siblings. However, this was no normal year, and your comeback ran too close to the holidays, not allowing you nor the boys to go home for Christmas. Not that you particularly minded; you hated the holidays.
You imagine what you'd be doing at home right now, no doubt curled up in your bed with an exciting romance novel, listening to some dark academia playlist you'd found on YouTube.
But you're not home, you're stuck here with a bunch of Christmas-crazed dorks who have spent the last few weeks decorating your dorms full of all things Santa Claus. You've been managing to sneak away whenever any holiday-esque activities are taking place. You've not told them of your hatred towards the holidays, and you're not really planning to, either, not wanting to be the reason their fun-filled nights are ruined; they're already sad enough about not being able to head home for the holidays, the last thing you want to do is be a scrooge. So, you’ve resorted to humbly excusing yourself, busying yourself with your own activities when the occasion arises.
As you walk into Chan's room, you take notice of all the little trees he has decorating his room. Cute. You pick up the picture of his family he has resting on his nightstand beside his bed. You stare at his mom, dad, siblings, and grandparents smiling faces, feeling the familiarly unavoidable pit in your stomach form.
Your parents and one set of your grandparents passed away in a car wreck about five years ago, before you debuted with the guys. Your other grandparents, your mother's parents, passed away before you were born, never getting the opportunity to meet them. So, that left just you and your brother. Your brother, being a few years older than you, started his own family the summer after your parents passed. He has a beautiful wife and two children now, one boy and one girl. They got right to baby-making after they got married, so excited to start a family of their own. Unfortunately, that family never included you. You only know of their children because you’re mutuals with your sister-in-law on social media.
Your brother essentially ghosted you after his first child was born. You two were never the closest sibling duo, but you never expected him to completely drop you and ignore your existence. But he did, and that's just something you have learned to live with.
You were not in a healthy place after all this happened. You had no one to go to when your heart was breaking, grieving the loss of both your dead and alive family members. You put all your focus into the trainee program, all your sadness and anger towards the world into your dance and song. Chan eventually found you on that one fateful day that you deemed saved your life. You were at the lowest of your low, and you thought you had finally reached your breaking point, but then walked in Christopher Bang Chan, all smiles and laughter. He recruited you to be in his group as one of the first, right after Han. From then on, you had another reason to keep going, to keep fighting.
You've never told the guys this. You have always been a more reserved member, keeping all of your personal life out of the spotlight. While the boys never heard you talk much about your family, really only knowing you have a brother, they always thought that, when you went home for the holidays, you went home to a nice big house filled with love. They thought when you walked in the doors to your childhood home, you were welcomed in by your parents with opened arms, beckoning you in. They thought you spent your Christmas mornings opening nicely wrapped presents, followed by a home-cooked breakfast that'd be shared amongst your family.
They didn't know of the single bedroom apartment you called yours. They didn't know of the bareness that captured your living room, baren of all things Christmas and the lack of Christmas cookies and presents on Christmas Day. They didn't know you've always spent your holidays alone.
Honestly, you were completely fine with their assumptions. You didn't need nor want their pity. Your family was still an incredibly sensitive topic to you. Before their passing, you were so very close. You'd spent every holiday together, enjoying your time as a family, doing all the cliche things. You'd even gone caroling a few times, walking around your childhood neighborhood singing the classic Christmas songs off-key to your friendly neighbors.
Afraid you'd spiral, leading you right back to how you'd been before Chan found you, you never brought it up, and the boys never pushed you to talk about your family. They figured you were normal with a mom, dad, and a loving brother-so what's to talk about?
The holidays have never felt the same; you knew they wouldn't. So why try? Why go through the effort of making yourself a nice Christmas dinner, attending church on Christmas eve and waking up early Christmas morning, when you knew your parents wouldn't be there to greet you. When you knew your grandmother wouldn't be there to give you the biggest hug she could muster in her old age. When your grandfather wouldn't be there to give you a hearty pat on the back, his only true form of physical affection you'd ever experienced in all your years with him.
A quiet knock pulls you out of your thoughts, and in walks Felix with a glass of milk in hand. You quickly set down the picture frame you didn't realize you were still holding and give him a warm smile.
"Hey, what's up?" you ask him, taking the glass from him and sipping on the cold beverage.
"I just wanted to make sure you were feeling alright. You've been pretty distant for a couple weeks now. Is everything ok?"
You're a little caught off guard, this being the first time anyone's noticed your pulling back since the beginning of December. You honesty didn't even realize anyone was paying attention to you, all of them too caught up in the festive activities and excitement of the season.
"Yea, I mean, I'm fine. Just a bit of seasonal depression," you write off his concerns.
"I didn't know you had that," Felix ponders his thoughts for a minute, giving you a loving look. "Is there anything I can do to help? Have you always had seasonal depression?"
While looking into Felix's warm, brown eyes, you decide that keeping all these things from them all these years has been unfair. They're never afraid of sharing their personal struggles with you. You think back to all the times Han's came to you with anxiety, and how you've wanted nothing more than to take away all his worry and pain. How Seungmin's came to you with his insecurities, and you always hyping him up, calling him the most beautiful boy. If any of them had kept their struggling to themselves, it'd crush you. How dare they feel like they couldn't come to you? Why would they want to struggle alone?
You realize that these feelings are most definitely reciprocated by the guys. Now, feeling vulnerable after being left alone with your thoughts for so long, you have the dire urge to come clean about your family.
"Actually Felix, I've been struggling with this for quite some time now. Can you, maybe just, listen? I've never talked to anyone about this, but I want to now. I want you guys to know," you fiddle with your hands, sliding one of your rings on and off your finger.
"Of course! You can always talk to me. Go ahead, I'm listening." He grabs your hand, halting your fidgeting. You look up at him, take a deep breath, and let it all out. Everything you've been holding onto these last few years. It probably sounds like word vomit, all your feelings and hardships falling out of your mouth at lightning speed. You finish your rambling, and you finally have the courage to look up at his face again.
He's crying. Equipped with all the theatrics, the wobbly lip and rosy cheeks. You made Felix cry with all your problems. You reach up to his cheek, wiping a few of his falling tears.
"Ok, I think I'm done," you freeze as Felix also brings his index finger up to your cheek. You flinch when he pulls away, seeing the dampness of it.
You're crying, too. You didn't even realize. I mean, it makes sense. You just trauma dumped all of your troubles onto Felix, the world's most renowned empath, of course you'd be crying.
You guys sit in silence for a minute, before Felix's whimpers become audible. He's so visibly distraught, and your heart breaks even more just at the mere sight of him.
He launches himself at you, clinging to you so tightly you think your ribs may crack. He tackles you back onto the bed, resting on top of you.
"Why did you never tell us this?" his sobs wreck through his body, his arms trembling around you, "We could've helped you."
"I was scared," you wriggle one of your arms free of his embrace, using it to affectionately run your hand through his hair. Your sobs join together as one, both of you a mess. "I was scared you guys would pity me, or look at me less. I was scared that I'd spiral again if I talked about it."
"Well, we're here now, Jagiya." He sits up after a few minutes. His cries have quieted, and so have yours. "We aren't going to let you continue going through this alone, ya know. We are one, and if one of us is hurting, we're all hurting. Please don't keep things like this from us anymore." He begs, standing from the bed. He grabs your hand and pulls you up, making his way towards the door.
"Where are we going?" your voice shakes and you pull away from Felix, standing in the middle of Chan's room. You wrap your arms around your middle, feeling more exposed than you ever have before.
"You know we have to tell the rest of them. They deserve to know, too."
"Felix, I don't think I can tell the story again. Once was enough for a lifetime."
"OK, do you feel comfortable with me telling them? I'll tell them exactly what you told me, no more, no less, ok?"
You frantically nod your head, grateful for Felix's suggestion.
He blows you a playful kiss, no doubt trying to make you feel better, and he leaves to go to the living room. You take your seat back down on the side of the bed and wait patiently for Felix to finish.
You don't hear much for the next few minutes, but you're startled by the swinging open of the door, the handle cracking against Chan's poor wall. Han stands there, a dazed look on his face. His glassy eyes meet yours, and you shriek when he takes off, leaping onto the bed onto your small frame. He wraps you up in a big hug, squeezing the life out of you.
"We love you, and we'd never want you to struggle alone. We're in this life together."
One by one, the rest of the guys make their way into the room onto the bed. We're haphazardly thrown into a cuddle pile of sorts. A cuddle pile filled with the love and adoration you've been missing during the holidays.
You all lay in each other's arms, and you feel incredibly comfortable and safe. Chan's the first to break the silence, "We have five days left until Christmas. What do you say we make some new Christmas traditions? We don't want to replace what you used to have, and you’re entitled to spend your Christmas season as you'd like. But, if you'll let us, we’ll give you something to look forward to about the holidays again. Please?" The guys are all looking at you now, each of them displaying a face that could rival a sad puppy.
You realize now that there's nothing to be scared of. These are your best friends you're talking about, who want nothing but to shower you in love and happiness.
"I'd love that."

Horizon Rock Bands AU: Alpha Prime
This is heavily inspired by the animated series Jem and The Holograms (I’m sorry if you know the reference because it means you’re as old as me 😆). There will be posts about other bands. Ereloy implied 🧡.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The band
Alpha Prime is a synth-punk rock band that performs songs about the struggles of social life and humanity's downfall. Aloy and her twin sister Beta started the band to take down Nemesis, the evil group that was winning every contest through dishonest ways before Alpha Prime showed up. Petra, Alva, Zo, and Talanah also had their own personal discordances with Nemesis, so they teamed up with the sisters to bring them down and make the world a little brighter with their music.
Unstoppable on stage, they've been number one since their first appearance at The Proving, the most prestigious battle of the bands in the music scene. There, they met the band Rock Breakers, who are not only their competitors but also great friends and allies against Nemesis.
With their manager Ersa, they’re getting ready for the competition by touring across the country. Their shows are called epic, thanks to their magical computer GAIA, which adds awesome visual effects and illusions to their performances.
Character profiles under the cut
Tumblr media
Aloy
She's the leader of the band and their main songwriter. She plays her guitar ‘Outcast’, and her soft voice mixed with her feral screams make her the perfect backup vocalist. When she and her sister Beta were little, their mother disappeared, which shattered Aloy's trust in others. This caused her to become closed off, and now she struggles with social interactions. She seeks revenge on Tilda, the leader of Nemesis, because she suspects her of being involved in her mother's mysterious disappearance. When the weight of her mother's legacy and her own frustrations become too much to bear, she turns to her best friend Erend, the leader of Rock Breakers. Being by his side makes her feel more at home than anywhere else, sparking emotions she doesn't quite understand—emotions that end up fueling her songwriting.
Tumblr media
Zo
Fans describe the soothing tone of her voice as healing, so it’s no surprise that she uses her ‘Fa’ mic to take on the role of the band’s lead vocalist. Always looking out for the other girls, it’s common to see her setting up meditation sessions before shows. As an environmentalist, she’s determined to take down Nemesis to stop the pollution caused by the companies owned by their members. She’s also (very) openly in a relationship with Varl, a member of Rock Breakers.
Tumblr media
Beta
Even more isolated than her sister after their mother disappeared, she found solace in sci-fi movies and video games, completely avoiding social life. She’s a tech nerd who spends most of her time planning new shows with the computer GAIA. For her, forming Alpha Prime has meant gaining a new, bigger family that’s slowly helping her come out of her shell. Though she keeps a low profile, the deep beats of her bass, ‘Matrix,’ make the crowd feel the tremble and are essential to completing the band’s sound.
Tumblr media
Talanah
Her cultural background made her believe all her life that guitars weren't meant for women—until she picked up "Khalis," the guitar passed down from her father, who was said to be the greatest guitarist under the sun. It felt like she had finally found herself. She made it her mission to become the best guitarist out there, regardless of gender—and she did. Now, she shreds alongside Aloy to take down Jiran, a member of Nemesis and the one responsible for her father's death.
Tumblr media
Alva
CEO, a member of Nemesis, controls the town of Alva from a distance. Both he and his predecessors have erased music from existence there, repressing the creative minds of its inhabitants and keeping them submissive. Alva is determined to recover musical knowledge and bring it back to her people, across the world, along with her beloved Federa. With her keyboard 'Ancestor' in hand and performing alongside Aloy, she feels capable of freeing her people from the torment of living without music.
Tumblr media
Petra
It's no coincidence that the crowd's cheers grow louder whenever Petra shows up. The power of the rhythms from her drums, 'Forge’s Breath,' combined with her strong personality and physique, make her a favorite, especially among women. She's an amazing musical engineer and has crafted all the band's instruments in their players needs. She's not here seeking justice or revenge; she's here to hit hard and push the rhythm of their songs to the max.
Thank you for reading! What do you think they would sound like?

myung jaehyun is absolutely, hands down, the best leader for boynextdoor.
I always stand by the leader of groups being the best leaders for their groups, but it’s definitely a role that they have to grow into and improve constantly on. just like any other position in the group. just like any other thing you do.
that said, until the fanmeeting, I didn’t quite have the words to truly express why I feel so strongly about jaehyun’s role as the boynextdoor leader—especially as I think to a lot of non-onedoor, it can seem a bit confusing or not apparent at first. which mostly comes from jaehyun sitting outside the norm for a leader (particularly in hybe bgs) at least in personality.
jaehyun is loud. that’s like… something well known about him. he’s talkative and playful and despite being shy, he’s definitely the kind of person to enter the room knowing no one and leave with at least 5 new friends. his approach to people is one that feels very open and bright.
for this reason, I do think many people might not first associate him with the leader role. with most groups, the most energetic member is probably not the first considered as “oh yeah that’s the leader”. jaehyun is all the playful and energy-filled that usually comes with the member who the leader needs to keep an eye on the most and eventually has a bunch of youtube compilation videos.
that said, these qualities are exactly why I think he makes such a great leader for boynextdoor. as mentioned in the fanmeeting day 2 ending ments, the members of bonedo are the type of people to put up a straight face and keep their struggles to themselves. as woonhak and they have expressed, an example being woonhak putting on a smile and performing, despite dealing with grief. they’re very much the people to not make their problems someone else’s and to maintain a collected image in front of others.
while I also think jaehyun does this, as most people who are leaders may tend to for the sake of their groups, he’s also very very very unapologetically himself. he feels so much. his tendency to cry being a prime example of that, though not the only. the point is that jaehyun is expressive and open and in this, jaehyun contrasts with his members.
as woonhak has stated before, jaehyun has expressed that it’s okay for him to cry, to need to take a break, to sit this one out. jaehyun in general approaches his members with a lot of care. but overall, the stand out is that I believe jaehyun navigates along the lines of… feelings are meant to be felt. he has no qualms with any emotion being felt the way it occurs to us. yes there are ways to handle them, but ultimately, the feeling—whatever it may be—is there to be felt and expressed.
this is also seen in how he interacts with his members. in his very tactile approach to express the love and care he has for the rest of bonedo. the pride he feels for them. whatever words I’m not able to formulate to describe the whole yeppi exchange between him and sungho in the 3rd comeback show special.
it’s also in his loudness and energy. it’s all about expression. he’s so much, but it only feels that way, in my opinion, because he’s overwhelmingly unafraid and unapologetic of being himself, in a way that the industry might otherwise discourage. he’s not against expressing how he feels and while it likely won’t be the most apparent until later in their careers, I do think he’s the type to speak his mind.
all that said, the point is that these qualities do exist in contrast to his members and thus… encourage them to do the same. maybe not to be speeding around all over the place, but rather to allow themselves the space and time to feel as they do. that they don’t have to keep it all inside to avoid making it other peoples problems. they’re a team, if nothing else. and it’s in jaehyun being so so so much himself, being exactly the person he is, not something specially crafted to fit a particular image, he encourages the other members to be the same.
jaehyun helps to curate a safe space within their group by exhibiting that there’s nothing wrong with being the person they are. to feel whatever they feel. to express when things are going good or bad or somewhere in between. to approach things as they come and take them in stride, even if it’s without prior planning. that if a leader is meant to push a group forward and help them grow, then jaehyun steps up to the plate in that art cannot be made without emotion and so to become better artists, to continue being artists, it’s so important to find the safe spaces of being able to express and feel everything as they should be felt.
this is why I think jaehyun has some of the strongest lyricism currently in the group. it’s why I think he was a powerful force coming into KOZ and bonedo, and sort of the missing piece. he feels so much and he allows himself to feel all of it. in turn, as the leader, it’s something he encourages in the members. it’s leading by example. jaehyun builds a safe space for them to express, by being open himself.
but beyond that, jaehyun being unapologetically himself becomes an unstoppable sort of barrier between the group and outside the group. while not as apparent now, I do think it’ll grow into him being a strong adovcate for each of the members and the group as a whole. the group matters to him. his members matter to him. jaehyun’s never going to act as if they don’t, so long as they do. as such, he’ll put them first. he’ll encourage them and their best interest. he provides space and works to create and maintain that space for them to express themselves and be themselves. it’s what makes jaehyun the best leader for bonedo now, and it’s what will allow him to continue to do so.

Mini & Moni Music was... interesting, kind of concerning? We really know so little about the members - especially if you're like me and don't watch all the lives and documentaries, and read every book or interview. Even if I did all that, though, I wouldn't know much. The more honest they are, the more obvious it is they're "hiding" so much from us and how little we know them. This honesty unintentionally increases the disconnect between us and them, throwing every memory of them in a different light. A lot of the intimacy we feel/felt isn't real because, sometimes, when they look happy they're actually struggling while we enjoy ourselves and their "happiness".
The thing about RM for me is I've struggled to understand him, even if I probably have more in common with him than other members. The way he expresses himself is very opaque to me. I lack the sensibility, or context, I guess, to understand his thought process.
This special content between Jimin and Namjoon was a bit sad. RM doesn't seem happy. Every year, I feel like he reveals that he wasn't happy in the previous year. Has there been any year where Namjoon didn't suddenly reveal he'd been struggling? Because last year he made it seem as if he'd been doing pretty well, and I guess he was better at some point, while working on RPWP, but he'd been having a really rough time. Hearing him say he had to distance himself from BTS in order to heal (I think in 2023, after Indigo, but also applies to chapter 2 in general?) and Jimin saying the members thought he liked them less now... was sad.
RM really had(s) been struggling with the group. I know Hobi really wanted a chance to do something solo, but Festa dinner still feels mostly like it was brought on by Namjoon. I'm pretty sure Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, Suga, and V would've been fine carrying on with group activities with little to no solo activities, and Hobi only wanted a chance to do something different, not necessarily a big break from the group (I think; I haven't watched a lot of chapter 2 solo content, maybe I'm wrong). But RM was truly "done", to the point where the members felt him pulling away from them... RM popping up during one of Jungkook's live and their whole interaction kind of takes on a new meaning. Jungkook had been really happy to talk to Namjoon, and Namjoon said he missed Jungkook and that they needed to hang out. At the time maybe RM had already created distance between himself and the members so they missed each other a lot and there was a kind of uncertainty in their relationship.
I believe in BTS, but this content has made RM, the leader, seem the least excited about BTS, which may be untrue - contradictory and conflicted feelings can coexist. I kind of became concerned about how they'll return as a group (and what that will sound like...) if RM just looks so burnt out and even regretful about many things in their past (like his seriousness before). I know that each member struggled a lot, and for every hard moment there is a good one RM remembers, but I hope that when he comes back he learns how to enjoy being in the group again (or maybe for the first time; maybe he never really knew how to love the group without feeling weighted down by it). Like he says, RM speaks for the group. Most of Festa seems like him speaking for the group while the group itself didn't share his feelings completely but wanted to support him. It's ironic because RM said he feared that the group only represented his thoughts and not the group's, but I really want to know what the other members think. Suga, for example, has always blamed their hiatus on the enlistment, whereas Namjoon has made it clear that wasn't the main reason.
I don't know, I know the group has been through a lot, including the time they almost disbanded (I say almost, but how close were they, truly? Thinking heavily about something and having the intention of doing it are quite different), but this made me lose confidence in the group a bit, at least in RM. In the eyes of the members he's equated to BTS, but it seems like he's drifted apart from them. That's life, but as a fan it was hard to hear. Maybe they all feel the same, and I'm putting it all on Namjoon... This conversation with Jimin was very negative, but that's not the whole truth, and I shouldn't forget that.

sixteen percent
pairing: choi beomgyu x txt 6th member!reader
summary: you mean more than you think. you're sixteen percent of txt after all
warnings: mentions of illnesses, misogyny, heart condition.
notes: this is like a sequel to a fic that i have not yet put out! i am sorry it is short but a lot of you guys have said that you find the short, multipart aus easier to read so im trying to abide by that :,)
Tumblr media
Beomgyu was the one who worried the most. It had only been a short period of time since you had finally been released from the hospital, and you hadn’t really been saying much. “Hey,” he said softly. He found you sititng in the windowsill. Any other time, he would have made a joke about how unfair it was that you were the only one with your own room, but he didn’t have it in him this time- not when you looked beyond sad, sitting surrounded by your pillows and stuffed animals, just watching the rain.
It wasn’t unusual for you to hang out by yourself in your room. Truth be told, the guys were worried that you didn’t like them at first. You were so nice to them whenever they did manage to have your attention, but usually they couldn’t get you to say much to them outside of practice or performing. You didn’t really seem rude to them, though. Just shy. After all, rude people don’t usually make everyone they live with cute matching friendship bracelets as a welcome gift.
They made their own rule not to push you to interact since it seemed like you were uncomfortable, but Beomgyu felt like that went out the window in this circumstance. After all, you had collapsed in an airport due to a secret illness.. was he wrong for wanting to make sure you were alright?
You didn’t really respond to his words, just letting out a hum of acknowledgement. He moved to sit beside you, knowing he had your attention. “What’s bothering you? You haven’t said much since you came home, and that was hours ago.”
“It’s weird.. now that you guys know. Other than Soobin, you guys were so nice about it. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
He took note of the way your hands shook as they moved to pull the blanket up higher over your legs, and of how your voice wavered a little as you spoke. It took a moment of silence for him to fully understand. “You’re scared.”
“Of course, I’m scared,” you sniffed. “Soobin’s reaction was the entire reason I didn’t want anyone to tell you guys in the first place.”
He sighed. “Soobin is just scared. You have a heart condition and that is a serious thing. We’d been pushing each other beyond our abilities for a while and yeah, we did it to help each other get better, but that could mean something totally different for you.”
You sighed. He didn’t get it. It wasn’t that Soobin’s reaction had upset you because he yelled at you, or because he was angry. You had known the leader of your group long enough to know that anything he had said, no matter how aggressively- was just out of concern, and you didn’t fault him for being emotional and not sure how to use his words. “Do you know how hard I had to work to get here?” You turned to him.
“I practiced for years; do you know how many twenty-four days I did just to figure out how to hit notes? The diets, the school, learning a language, all of that? I was told there was a chance I may never debut just because they weren’t in the market for girl groups just yet. When the opportunity came and I heard they were debuting a new group, I did everything I could every single day. I took risks that gave me injuries and some of the girls even hated me for going out of my way like I did.”
You were clearly getting heated, tone rising, and the pace of your words was starting to move so fast that he was struggling to keep up. Beomgyu grabbed your hand as if to pause you. “Yeah, but Y/N,” he sighed. “Most trainees went through that.”
“No!” you exclaimed. “You didn’t! Because then I debuted, and even after that every day was like a fight I was destined to lose. I did everything I could to be talented, but then I was a small girl living in a dorm with six guys. You guys had all gotten to kind of know each other, I was the last to be added, I knew nothing.”
Beomgyu could tell from the way you kept rambling and working yourself up that what you truly needed from him right now wasn’t advice or explanations. He grabbed your hand once more when started using it to illustrate and you kept going like you didn’t even notice. “And then! Every time we perform, I hear the stylists talk about how choosing a concept is so hard for them because they can’t figure out how to do my outfit, like I’m a nuisance to the group! And don’t get me started on choreography- do you know how many times I had to stay behind while you guys went home just to tell the choreographer to stop throwing out more intricate routines just because he assumes that I can’t do them? I had to convince them I could by practically doing a little audition!
“Not to mention the social media outrage. The news was announced, and the lineup came out and I was getting called every name in the book for just performing with you guys! It seems like my very existence alone causes so many problems for the group,” your breath caught in your chest, but after rambling the things that had been on your mind for so long, you weren’t really surprised.
But he was. Even though they were still fairly new, the six of you had been performing together for about six months now. In that whole time, you had never opened up like this. They had even gotten Kai to say more about his personal feelings than they had managed to get out of you. The most you had ever said about yourself was in interviews.
You looked up at him as you tried to catch your breath and slow your heart rate. Your cheeks were flushed, embarrassed at having spilled your guts like that. “Do you feel better?”
The words threw you off. Why was he asking you that? You had basically yelled at him, and said that his struggled to get to where he was weren’t as valid as yours, so why was he smiling at you? Wasn’t he offended or something? Shouldn’t he be telling you how rude and spoiled you are right now?
But all Beomgyu did was pat your head and repeat the question. “Do you feel better?”
“It’s not that I didn’t tell you guys because I didn’t trust you or because I don’t take anything seriously,’ you tried to sum up, voice much softer now. “I just didn’t want you guys to think of me as a weaker link than I already am.”
The sound of your brathing and the rain hitting the window was all that could be heard for several moments, and your heartbeat started to pick back up until Beomgyu finally spoke again. “None of us think anything like that of you. I mean... we’ve definitely had some conversations where we thought you hated us or were scared of us because of how little you hang out with us in private… but we didn’t know you were the one who was uncomfortable. We never really pushed because we wanted to give you space, we thought you knew you were welcome.”
“I just don’t want to be a nuisance.” He shook his head to deny that before the statement had even completely been uttered. “That’s ridiculous. You’re not a nuisance. You’re singlehandedly the funniest in the group, and none of us can hit high or low notes the way you can. Yeonjun has started picking up on your slang! You’re the smartest, by far. You taught yourself three languages so fast!” It was his turn to be on a roll, but you just let yourself laugh and waved your hands to stop him.
“Okay, okay, I believe you!” You chuckled. “I guess… I just don’t always feel like I’m all that important to the group. I feel guilty sometimes you know?”
“Guilty for what?” Beomgyu scrunched his nose. “It doesn’t matter. Taehyun ordered food for everyone, and I am not going to let you sit in here all by yourself and feel upset when you can come out here with us and have a good night.”
As he dragged you out, you weren’t sure that he had truly understood what you had been telling him, but the next day you found a package in front of your bedroom door. Inside was a bracelet- it had the date you were added to the group engraved on it. Underneath the jewelry was a picture of you belting out a note onstage, it almost looked like a newspaper clipping. Then, finally, taped to the bottom of the box was a note, and scrawled in messy handwriting read: “you matter more than you think.”
You smiled as you looked through it all, pinning the picture and the note up on your vanity mirror before you heard the call. “Y/N! I made breakfast!”
“Coming!”

Lanii I based on the Jingrenheng and unconventional darlings ask I imagine that weapon!darling is the cutest with either Blade or Dan Heng because both of them explores the universe, so you'll be exploring with them and they feel bad about isolating you because you were considered as a government's property fully under their control. They don't have the heart to act controlling yk. To them you're babey even if you're well...dangerous.
On the other hand, you're a struggle for Jingyuan and Dan Feng because they're in high ranking positions of the Luofu, and snatching you away means making enemies of your powerful planet. Secondly you're considered as a weapon fully under the government's control so there's no such thing as a political marriage, it's like giving away your best asset to another country. At least Jingyuan has his social skills and smile so he can at least interact with you, but Dan Feng? He's cold. Reminds you of all those people who wants to control you, don't like him :(
This points out the difference between the two groups! Indeed, Blade and Dan Heng - No matter how dangerous your abilities are, how far you go on the path of "destruction", you are still lovable and exploitable. Blade can empathize with your pain… and for Dan Heng, accepting a new family member is a natural thing.
For Jing Yuan and Dan Feng, they may prefer "trade" because this is the only way a powerful space civilization can agree to transfer you. They didn't feel comfortable with this plan, especially since you were forced into a coma before being transferred to Luofu. They can't help but think about what kind of fate you suffered in the past…
Still, Dan Feng just scares you at first 😹 He orders you to relax and have fun as seriously as he orders you to fight. You suspect that he will reveal his true colors soon… Jing Yuan will take advantage of this because obviously you like his charm better (in his own opinion) :3

Imagine The8 breaking up with you because he’s worried he can’t give you enough but him missing you
Tumblr media
"Are you sure you're gonna be okay? You know she’s going to be there don’t you?" Scoups asked and The8 struggled not to roll his eyes for two reasons. One, the idea he wouldn’t be aware that you were going to be here and two that it hurt less if Scoups just avoided saying your name. However he knew he was just being prickly so he nodded "yeah I figured she'd be performing...don’t worry it'll be fine.
The downside of dating a fellow idol was The8 ran into you all the time and as you were a part of the famous Mamamoo it made it practically impossible to avoid you. The8 was nervous all night waiting for your performance and when it started his eyes went to you straight away.
Your groups made their way through the crowd as planned interacting with idols. Wheein had a cute interaction with Twice, Solar with Red Velvet, Hwasa danced with an actress, Moonbyul got the thumbs up from BTS and the next table, your table, was...Seventeen.
Your eyes went straight to The8 with his bright red hair and you thought this must be some sick joke. Solar noticed and her eyes went wide she motioned for you to just dance in front of you them but there wasn’t really any room! The group seemed to sense your problem and Joshua made eye contact with you and nodded telling you it was okay. He moved over to make room and so you came to stand by him. When the camera spun around you sang while Joshua nodded along and the others all joined in. It was only 5 seconds but it felt like an eternity. Finally it was over and Hwasa grabbed your hand pulling you along.
Once you moved away The8 relaxed. Jeonghan patted Joshua on the back to say well done for being kind but The8 just felt terrible. He saw the terror on your face when you realised the table you’d gotten and he hated that. He didn’t want you to feel like you couldn’t be around his members, they knew you and liked you...plus he had no ill-will towards you really. Sure he still couldn’t listen to your music or look at you but he didn’t want you to be uncomfortable because of him. It was all his fault not yours.
You managed to get through the rest of your performance with no more ex-boyfriend mishaps and made it backstage. Solar grabbed you immediately and asked if you were okay. You nodded telling her you were fine and they all gave you space. You sat through the award show your mind only half there but finally it was the end. You were all lined up on stage and you noticed Seventeen immediately. The8 was on the opposite end to you which you were relieved about. You moved passed them and as you reached Joshua you lightly grabbed his arm "thank you so much for earlier". He smiled "no worries, well done on the great performance!". You thanked him and moved on unaware the whole thing was caught on camera. The next day The8 woke up to your name trending and he almost fell out of bed. Then he clicked on the tag and froze. It was all about you and Joshua. There was a clip from last night after the awards when you and Joshua were whispering to one another. It only lasted 10 seconds but you had a hand on his arm and everyone was going crazy. The8 knew you were probably just thanking Joshua for helping you, you were a good person like that but the fans were going crazy. They claimed it was obvious and had so many clips of the two of you "looking" at one another when in reality either you or The8 were always nearby. He knew he wasn’t with you anymore but he still found the idea of everyone shipping you with Joshua upsetting. He got up and got on with his day but when he saw Joshua, he did pause and had to remember it was just a rumour.  A few weeks later Seventeen went to an idol club after attending an award show. The8 wasn’t the nightclub type but Seventeen had won an award and he felt the members needed a celebration. The8 knew you were here in the club too but he also knew you wouldn’t come over to him so he was fine…or so he thought.
You were surprised to see The8 here of all places and of course he was the best-dressed person in the place. Your eyes went to him without meaning to and you hated how he still had this effect on you. You went to the bathroom to try and calm down a little but that was a bad idea. When you exited, you came around the corner and bumped straight into The8 himself. You both froze and apologised. "Sorry I should’ve been looking where I was going..." you said as he said "sorry I was going way too fast". Finally you both stopped and looked at one another before looking away again. It hurt to look at him and you just felt so pathetic. "Erm so how are you?” The8 asked. You looked at him, aware given that 2 months had passed you should probably be over him and moved on with your life. You should reply you were great and list all that had happened since you were apart but you didn’t want to. You weren’t over him and you just felt sad. "Oww you know..." you said awkwardly "what about you?". "I'm well thank you..." he said and you nodded "that's good". "Well I should go" you said awkwardly and The8 nodded "yes of course. Well i guess I'll see you around". You nodded "bye" and rushed off. The8 collapsed against the wall and put his head in his hands. You couldn’t even look at him and you’d practically run from him. He hated it.
His members soon worked out what happened and he was in a terrible mood all night so Hoshi and Scoups left early with him. They let him talk about how he was feeling and then Hoshi asked a very fair question. "Why did you two even break up?". The8 had never given them all a proper reason and even Scoups’ head bobbed up in interest. From their perspective everything had been going great, then The8 came home one day and announced you were over but never said more.
The8 sighed "it was complicated". Scoups nodded "well duh but what happened? You ended it right?". He nodded "we'd been struggling to see each other regularly. We’d planned to spend the summer together but then I got that opportunity to be a dance mentor". "Ahhh and Y/n told you not to go?" Hoshi asked. The8 shook his head "no she encouraged me to go. She said it was fine and we'd do our summer another time but we’d been saying that with so many things...with the Christmas we cancelled, when I missed her birthday, when the company suddenly pushed up my trip back home...i just felt like i couldn’t fully commit or give myself to her and i didn’t think it was fair. So I ended it".  Scoups and Hoshi paused "what did Y/n say?” Scoups asked. The8 sighed "she tried to fight it. She told me it didn’t matter how busy we were, we’d find a way and that she didn’t mind if the next time she saw me was in a week or 20 weeks just as long as there was a next time". Scoups nodded "wow". The8 nodded "but it wasn’t enough for me. I thought by breaking up with her I was being mature and doing the right thing but I'm not sure...I miss her so much and I still love her".
"Do you want our opinions or encouragement" Scoups asked. "Opinions" The8 replied and Hoshi frowned "I think if you love her then that’s all that matters". Scoups nodded "I agree. I get why you did what you did but I think you were trying to solve a problem that wasn’t there. Y/n wasn’t upset you were. It's hard dating like this but as Hoshi said if you love her then that's all that matters. You'll find a way". The8 sighed "see but she hates me now". "She doesn't hate you" Scoups said sharply. "She does, tonight at the club she couldn’t even look me in the eye and she practically ran from me. And she had every right...". "You were only doing what you thought was best, plus it takes a big person to admit you've changed your mind" Hoshi pointed out. Scoups nodded  "yeah Y/n will appreciate that and I think she doesn’t hate you she’s just sad. That’s what you can see in her eyes, not hate". "But nothing changed...what if I freak and hurt her again?". Scoups shook his head "you won’t because you're going to always remember how this feels right here right now without her. Plus we’ll be here to remind you too". The8 sighed "I need to think about this when I'm not drunk". "That’s probably a good idea" Scoups nodded.
The first thing The8 thought of when he woke up the next morning was you. He knew you liked to lie in after a late night so you’d likely be fast asleep right now. He thought about how after events the two of you would leave the club early and go home to watch a movie. He’d usually fall asleep first and wake up to find the movie still running, you fast asleep curled up beside him. He’d stop it and then jump back in the warmth beside you. It was one of his favourite memories but now he was here alone and missing you.
The8 had planned to have a shower and eat before doing something but he couldn’t wait any longer. So he abandoned his towel and sent the text.
"Hey can we talk?".
He waited anxiously by his phone for the first few minutes before walking away to get some food. When he came back and saw his phone notification light blinking he nearly dropped his cereal. Your text was there waiting for him.
"About what?".
He took a breath and typed his reply.
"It’ll be easier to tell you in person, please can I see you?".
It took you longer to respond this time but you finally did.
"Okay, I'm home all today".
The8 leapt up, he quickly texted back thanking you and told you he’d be over in an hour.
Meanwhile were panicking. Only an hour! You were laid in bed not in any state to see your ex. So you rushed to the bathroom and began prepping. You tried to imagine what The8 wanted to talk to you about but you could only think of one reason...he’d met someone else. That was the only thing that could make The8 sound so serious and it was so typical of him to do the “gentleman” thing and warn you about it. You wondered who his new partner was and were slightly bitter since he told you he couldn’t date because of his schedule. Clearly someone was just more worth his time than you.
The8′s car showed up 50 minutes later and he parked but didn’t come in. You knew he was waiting until it was exactly an hour so he didn’t mess you up by being early and you sighed and opened the door. You caught his attention and gestured for him to come in.
The8 hurried over and gave you a small awkward smile “I didn’t want to rush you if you weren’t ready”. You shook your head “it’s okay I just finished” which was a lie. You’d gotten ready in 15 minutes flat you were so worried he’d be early and had just been sat looking out of your window the whole time. The8 nodded and you led him into your living room where he took a seat. “Can I get you anything?” you asked him “some water or tea?”. He smiled when you said tea but shook his head “i’m okay” and you nodded but still didn’t sit down. “So I should probably explain” The8 said playing with his hands nervously “do you want to sit or stand?”. “I think i’ll stand if that’s okay” you replied and he nodded “of course”. He took a breath and started “so I broke up with you because I said I didn’t have enough time for us and that I couldn’t date with my career at the moment”.
Here it was you thought, now he was going to point out the irony that he’d found someone else and tell you how it was somehow different. You took a breath and gripped the sleeve of your top. You wouldn’t react, you’d just nod, tell him it was okay and get him out of here as quickly as possible. You were so busy counting to three you didn’t properly hear what he said.
“Now I’ve realised what a stupid idea that was”.
You startled into movement “i’m sorry?” you asked. The8′s eyes flickered up to yours and he held them there “I was an idiot to break up with you and I’m here to ask if you’ll forgive me and give me another chance”.
At that you did take a seat/practically fell back into the sofa. “I...but I don’t understand, has something changed?”. The8 paused “yes and no. No in that my work schedule hasn’t changed and my company will likely need me more as members start going off to military”. You nodded unsure what else to do. “But I’ve changed” he carried on “before I had ideas about how a relationship was meant to be and was so preoccupied with messing us up I just sabotaged everything. I was insecure and I projected that onto you. I know now I was being foolish and I’ve missed you every day since we broke up. You’ve been on my mind constantly and I know now I’ll never meet anyone like you. I was the luckiest man and I ruined all that. I acknowledge all the pain I’ve caused you and I will be eternally sorry. I never wanted to hurt you and will spend the rest of my life making it up to you...if you’ll let me of course”.
He finished his speech and silence fell. He was watching you cautiously and you took a few breaths “I wasn’t expecting this”. He nodded “it’s a lot to take in, don’t feel you have to respond straight away”. You nodded and tried to process everything he was saying. He wanted you back? He’d changed his mind? “I’m just unsure” you admitted “it’s been 2 months which isn’t ages but it’s a substantial amount to be apart, why now?”. The8 shrugged “in truth I didn’t feel good with it when I first made the decision but I figured that was just normal for a break-up. When that persisted after three weeks and four...and five, I finally realised those feelings meant something. My unhappiness, how much I missed you...how much I still love you” he said softly “those things weren’t going anywhere and that’s when I knew I had to do something. I’m sorry i’m so late but I knew I had to try”.
You paused “you still love me?”. The8 nodded “of course I do, I think no matter what happens I always will. You’re very important to me Y/n”. You blushed and The8 took that as a good sign. “You can ask me all the questions you want, tell me off for anything i’ve done. I’m willing to accept anything”. You nodded “I just have one...will you finally let me borrow your suits?”. You smiled and The8 paused “does this mean...”. “Yes” you nodded “I want to get back together...if you let me wear your suits”. The8 grinned “you can have them all as gifts” he cried and rushed to hug you. You laughed as he threw his arms around you and squeezed you tightly, his careful resolve now gone thanks to his joy. You hugged him back and told yourself this wasn’t a dream. It was all real.
The8 seemed to be thinking the same thing as when he pulled away he smiled at you “thank you Y/n. You won’t regret this I promise”. “I know” you nodded.
The8 returned home later with a huge smile on his face and all the members could guess why and were thrilled...because they’d got their The8 back.

🕸️   It took everything in her body to not trip over the cracks in the pavement outside of her apartment building; her throat burning from both the cold and the amount of breathing she was doing as she raced towards the door.
Hands shaking as she struggled with the rusty lock, her ears pricked upward at the noise of a blood-chilling shriek, and she knew that they had spotted her again.
She was getting sloppy on her supply runs and even though she knew this, she wasn’t exactly known for having the best balance even standing still, let alone grabbing supplies from the blood-stained shops.
Letting out a small cry of relief, the door finally came unstuck, and she slammed the door shut; turning around just in time to see a small group of people slam their bodies into the thick glass door.
Their eyes bloodshot, their mouths always open and drooling, all of them agile despite whatever their human health state was like.
“Fucking arseholes,” she whispered as she tried to ignore the groaning and the screaming that was just behind a single glass door.
Dashing up the stairs, she kept her apartment key ready in her hand, anything to just be a little safer that much quicker.
“I am alive,” she called out, her breath halting for a few seconds as silence followed her announcement.
“You sound terrified,”
The deep voice made her flinch and she turned to see her best friend sitting up on his elbows, his eyes narrowing on her face and taking in her shaken form.
“Why didn’t you wake me?” he jumped over the back of the sofa and quickly gathered her up in his arms, “safety in numbers,” he added pulling back so he could look her in the eyes.
“Felix, you were sleeping, and I didn’t want to wake you up,” she replied feeling a little bashful under his gaze, “it’s been so long since you had a good night's sleep and I’m not going to wake you up for every supply run just because you think you’re okay when you clearly aren’t,”
She pouted when Felix chuckled and pet the top of her head with affection, enjoying the softness of her Dalmatian ears.
“You’re right,” he agreed surprising her quite a bit and she tilted her head to the side; the two of them making their way to the seating area, “lay with me?”
Felix helped her move the heavy backpack she was carrying and held his arms out to her, knowing fully well that she would never be able to refuse such an action.
“Evil,” she mumbled before quickly joining him on the sofa, head buried in his chest as a blanket was thrown over them.
“Maybe so but you love me,” he giggled at the scoff that was replied and he squeezed the hybrid just a little bit more out of sheer love for her, “I’m glad you’re safe,” he added quietly as he heard a loud scream coming from a floor above them.
Must be Miss Lorn’s boyfriend...finally turned Felix thought with a shudder as the screaming continued a little more before it slowly became quiet with a loud gurgling.
“Me too,” she whispered gripping the fabric of his shirt for comfort, “maybe...maybe we should barricade the door today,” she added upon hearing the rather disturbing scrambling of hands scratching at the floorboards from above.
“I’m on it,”
                                    ‧˚₊꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒦꒷‧₊˚⊹
Even though the world had gone to shit, the internet seemed to still be working.
Only on select days of the month it seemed but working none-the-less.
Felix had been trying to get in contact with his best friends ever since things really started to go downhill; she could see his heart breaking every time the phone calls cut short or when they simply weren’t even working.
She had only met one of Felix’s friends and that was a man called Han Jisung.
An introverted man who was shy and anxious a lot of the time but bloomed the second he was comfortable with you.
She always had had a soft spot for Han and had enjoyed his company very much whenever he’d visited Felix, the two men extremely close thanks to their birthdays being one day apart.
She had assumed that Han would’ve been the first one he would try to get in touch with but apparently there was another man from Australia that he was the closest too.
“Still nothing?” she asked quietly as she eyed Felix, who was leant over his laptop with a very exhausted expression on his lovely face, “Lix?” she pushed gently when silence followed her question, and he looked up slowly with a sad shake of his head.
“I don’t even know if they’re safe,” he whispered trying his very best not to cry, “Channie-hyung is tough but his kindness is the thing that will get him in trouble...people will take advantage,” he closed his laptop and rubbed his face harshly; leaving red marks on himself.
“Minho-hyung is tough and no nonsense, but playful and kind...I guess he’ll be the one who would be around the longest,” Felix picked at his nails, and she knew that he was just talking to vent out his anxiety; so, she stayed quiet and nodded, “Changbin-hyung and Hyunjin-hyung live together, so I think they’ll be alright but Changbin is loud and a hot-head sometimes,” he pulled at his thick brown locks, “Hannie....” he seemed to be particularly stressed when talking about the slightly older man.
“Hannie is smart, and I think his anxiety benefits him...he’s not that great with social situations unless we’re with him so I think...I think he’ll be hiding in his home or with Channie-hyung...they’re super close,” he took a deep breath and turned to look at her for the first time since his ramble.
“Seungie and Jeongin are the youngest of our friendship group but I believe that they are together, I hope they’re together,” he whispered, “I believe they’ll be okay but they get overwhelmed easily and I just don’t know what to do!” he finally broke down in tears and she rushed towards him; pulling him into her chest and stroking his hair as he sobbed into shirt, gripping the back of it so hard she thought it would rip.
“I will help you find them,” she squeezed him tightly and kissed his forehead when he eventually looked up, “I will find them,” she knew it was giving him false hope, but she couldn’t stand to see the utter distress upon his face.
“I don’t want them to be hurt,” he whimpered as his face turned a bright shade of red due to his crying, “I love them,” he bit his bottom lip nervously before smiling ever so slightly when she bumped her head against his affectionately.
“I know you do,” she replied looking at the front door at the sudden sound of screeching, which caused them both to bolt towards said door just in case they had to hold it shut once again.
“How are they still in the building?” Felix shook his head, voice still wrecked because of his crying.
“I don’t know, I thought I had gotten rid of them all on this floor,” she eyed the peephole and felt her stomach drop at the sight of them running down the halls; clearly on the scent of something and she hoped it wasn’t one of the poor pets in the other apartments.
“Might be newbies,” Felix sighed heavily, “I still think it’s to do with the water around here,” he added making her shrug.
“Could be, I haven’t been using any water for drinking that didn’t come out of a bottle,” she confessed, “bad for the planet but so is this virus,” she continued making Felix laugh.
“Same here,” he confessed as they moved away from the door and back towards his bedroom; shutting the door behind them.
A rule the two of them had come up with in case their front door was knocked down during the night, they would still have a barrier between them and the zombies.
Sleeping together was also another safety rule they’d made as they’d be able to 1. hold the door better with two and 2. have more chances to fight the zombies off if, God forbid, they got in.
Plus, they were just scared to be by themselves.
“Have you tried to call them?” she moved to his side on the bed and cuddled up with her arms locked around one of his, chin on his shoulder.
“I think using phones is going to be pointless,” he puffed a big sigh out, “fucking thing hasn’t been able to connect a call in about,” he paused, “three-four weeks,”
This news came as a surprise to her as Felix hadn’t even mentioned this to her.
“Three-four weeks?!” she gasped, and he nodded, “oh Felix,” she almost cooed at his saddened expression, her fingers gently brushing his hair from his face so she could look at his dark brown eyes.
He, in turn, looked back at her feeling quite hopeless, his head pushing forward so their foreheads were together.
“I have you,” he whispered closing his eyes, “so it’s not all bad,” he felt his face flush red at the sudden confession, and he moved away from her, eyes darting to the grey carpet of his room.
There was a short silence that followed his statement.
She would be lying if she hadn’t picked up on a weird atmosphere surrounding the two of them lately; not that she hated the feeling, but it was just a little strange.
Felix was always a touchy person; often pulling her into cuddles for most of the day or just petting her ears as she curled up beside him, kissing her forehead or cheek whenever he felt particularly soft.
But recently the cuddles had become longer and tighter, the kisses had become more frequent, and his lips lingered.
Even she had become aware that she was also being a lot more affectionate with Felix; even brave enough now to kiss him back on several occasions.
She considered the man a forever packmate, even though she didn’t have a pack in the first place.
Maybe she was confusing simple pack-love with romantic love? She wasn’t too knowledgeable about Hybrid pack lives, having been brought up with a Human family since birth.
Shaking her head furiously, startling Felix in the process, she cleared her throat and threw herself down onto the bed, pulling the covers over her body.
“We should get some rest, we need to go on another supply run soon,” she faked a yawn and made sure to face away from him as she tried to figure her thoughts out but still pushed backwards as Felix joined her, arm thrown around her waist protectively.
It was annoying that her tail was wagging.
Fucking traitor!

[ JUNE’S RELATIONSHIP WITH STRAY KIDS ]  part one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ BANG CHAN ]
ship name: BaHa
description: Like with all his kids, Chan loves, takes care of, and protects June. There might be some slight (major) favoritism because she’s the only girl in the group but no one can fault him for it. He’s especially protective of her due to the fact that she’s the only girl in the group. During the survival show and trainee days it came off that he was harsher on her, constantly pushing her to do better, but he just wanted to make sure no one could ever deny her talent or spot on the team. Once they debuted he chilled out a bit. Chan sees June as a baby sister. And June sees Chan as her big brother. They definitely tease one another but Chan also helps June braid her hair when she struggles to reach the back of her head, speak English when she’s feeling homesick, and give her big hugs that nearly suffocate her. During their trainee days, June knew about Chan’s terrible sleeping habits, and honestly, she couldn’t judge much as a bit of a night owl herself (but nowhere near Chan’s insomniac level). But what June did to try to help Chan out was go and hang out with him in the studio while he was working. It helped bring him back to the present a bit and let her have time to get homework done while being with someone. When Chan is pulling all-nighters and really wearing himself thin, June will show up during his late nights, do some work, bring some food, and fall asleep on the couch. June knows Chan has a hard time taking care of himself, so if she tricks him into taking care of himself by taking care of her…win win. Chan doesn’t want June staying up all night, or spending the night at the studio, or walking home in the dark, which means he’ll take her back to the dorms. And then end up going to bed early himself. (Our manipulative water sign queen).
fan favorite moment: During a Channie’s Room while in America he and June got Taco Bell and showed off to Stay the Baja Blast drink, putting on a whole little skit of, “Oh my god I can’t believe we have a drink named after us, they must be such big fans of ours” etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ LEE MINHO ]
ship name: Juho
description: In the early days of Stray Kids and their debut they were pretty distant with each other, which Lino could not understand why. They hadn’t been super close as trainees, not like him and Seungmin and Jisung, but they were friends. Had similar senses of humor, etc. Hell, June even cried when he debuted (the only time Stay has ever seen her cry). You would think they had never met before they debuted the way they interacted with each other sometimes. At some point Lino (with the help of a certain leader) finally got June to open up to him. Most of the members hadn’t seen June cry much, it took a lot to get her there, and she hated when people saw her cry. So imagine Lino’s surprise when June started crying in front of him, blubbering, snotty, wiping tears off her cheeks and chin, barely able to talk. Lino just pulled her into his arms and let her tears soak his shirt. When June finally came up for air she explained how much pressure she always felt for being the only girl in the group, and knowing that since they were a coed group (since she was in the group) their chances of debuting were slim. When Minho was eliminated from the group she couldn’t help but feel like it was her fault and that it should’ve been her. And even though he came back she could never shake that feeling and she ended up taking it out on him. Lino almost punched her (lovingly) once they talked it all out for being so stupid. But he refrained and instead gave her a big hug, letting her hide her face in his shoulder. After that Lino and June became a horrifying duo released onto the rest of the team, determined to bring terror and chaos wherever they went. They both tease in the same way and will have ‘who can be louder’ contests together at the worst moments. June is also the one who found out Lino’s sides are ticklish and uses that to her advantage at every available opportunity.
fan favorite moment: In an English interview both Lino and June had been pretty quiet for most of it. At one point they made eye contact with one another, Lino raised an eyebrow, making a face, which June copied and directed back at him. The two both burst into giggles leaving the rest of the group confused at what the hell was going on before leaving it, saying this was a normal thing between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ SEO CHANGBIN ]
ship name: 2Seo
description: The ultimate sibling duo. No one could think of shipping them even somewhat romantically because it’s like they are actual siblings. Changbin loves messing with June’s hair and then running away, giggling like a maniac. They’re always teasing and play fighting with one another, just poking each other’s buttons. Changbin is always trying to convince June to go to the gym and June always stares at him like he’s crazy for even suggesting it. The two are also fiercely protective over the other. June does not allow any slander against Changbin. You know that one video where the hosts said Changbin wasn’t attractive? Yeah, June was right there with the biggest and fakest smile on her face and quickly said, “well, it’s a good thing you two aren’t idols!” The hosts were so shocked they could only laugh along with her and move on to the next topic. Pray you are never at the receiving end of their death glares.
fan favorite moment: This isn’t necessarily one moment, but fans are obsessed with the compilation of videos June taking a nap and Changbin either protecting her precious sleeping time (by yelling at the other members to quiet down, putting a blanket on her, blocking the light from her eyes, etc.) or Changbin acting as a pillow for June.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ HWANG HYUNJIN ]
ship name: Juji
description: Good looking/model duo. Also dramatic duo. You put June in a room with Hyunjin and she immediately loses any brain cells she may have once had. She also likes to tease him constantly for being a month older than him. She’ll call him a baby for it all the time and he’ll always yell back how he’s only a month younger. She ignores him. 3racha has commented on how weird it is because when they hang out just the two of them it is silent. June loves to go into Hyunjin’s room while he’s painting or drawing, bringing in her own book or work to do and just sitting there with him in silence. They could spend an entire day together, never once speaking to the other and end it saying how much they enjoyed the other’s company. When Hyunjin started growing his hair out and wasn’t quite used to the length yet, June always kept an extra hair tie on her wrist for him in case he wanted to tie his hair back. She was a big fan of his long hair and Hyunjin mentioned in a live how June helped him buy products for it and how to take care of it. She cried with Innie when Hyunjin cut it.
fan favorite moment: In a live, June randomly and wordlessly told Hyunjin to sit down in front of her. Hyunjin did so without complaint and once he was in place June began braiding his hair. Once she finished she would leave it for a moment before finger brushing it back out and doing it all over again, intermittently giving Hyunjin little head massages. Hyunjin’s eyes were closed the whole time and he may have dozed off a bit a few times.

Legolas makes more sense if he’s autistic
I recently re-watched the Lord of the Rings movies and I couldn’t help noticing how strange some of Legolas’s behaviour is. So many of his lines are unconnected to a broader conversation, and when they’re directed at others they often feel at odds with the scene.
Alternative theories for why Legolas is weird:
Bad acting
Bad writing
That’s just how elves are
I’m going to disregard the meta analysis for now, but there is a decent body of evidence that elves do not behave the same way Legolas does. In fact, I think his weirdness is camouflaged by being the only elf in most scenes. The other characters and audience members are more likely to attribute his behaviour to being an elf than to him being whatever the Middle Earth equivalent of autistic is. All the elf characters love being aloof and saying cryptic bullshit, but this is something beyond that.
Some evidence:
Flat affect, issues with empathy
Tumblr media
After Gandalf is believed to have died, the Fellowship is in Lothlorien where an elf choir sings a lament to Gandalf. Legolas tells the group that it’s for Gandalf, but then says he can’t tell them what is being said because the grief is too fresh for him. His facial expression and tone are extremely flat. He isn’t malicious and doesn’t seem to lie anywhere else in the series, which suggests that he really does feel so intensely sad that he can’t tell the others what is being said about Gandalf. The fact that he feels that level of emotion with an entirely straight face reads like autism. A few minutes after this scene we see Galadriel experience intense fear, and in some scenes Elrond is visibly angry, which suggests that low emotional affect isn’t a facet of the species. It’s unique to Legolas.
While it doesn’t make sense for him to be purposefully unkind, telling people that their friend is being eulogized in a language they don’t speak and then refusing to translate is an odd choice. Why tell them at all if he wasn’t going to tell them what was being said? It seems like he struggles to understand what the impact of that would be on others.
Poor interoception (understanding of one’s own emotions and body signals)
Tumblr media
During a drinking competition Legolas appears slightly confused when he discovers that he’s experiencing symptoms of drunkenness. Legolas has been alive for centuries. It doesn’t seem plausible that he’s never had a large quantity of alcohol before. We don’t see other drunk elves in this series so intoxication could be highly unusual for them, but it still seems odd that Legolas would be surprised by a bodily experience (tingling fingers) being connected to drinking. He only identifies a “slight tingling” as a symptom, yet his movements and speech are slowed in a way that suggests that he is more affected than he realises. He has just failed to pick up on what is happening.
Unusual social behaviour
Tumblr media
Aragorn shares a plan to help Frodo by diverting Sauron’s attention with an army. Legolas unhelpfully summarizes with, “a diversion.” He also smiles slightly after saying this, which makes it come across as genuine rather than sarcastic. Either he has wildly underestimated the intelligence of everyone else in the room, is voicing his interal monologue, or is making an awkward attempt to be part of the conversation. There is no evidence elsewhere of him considering the other characters stupid or of him voicing his thoughts aloud. This looks more like mirroring, trying to be part of the conversation by parroting back what someone else said. This statement adds nothing to the conversation except to get him involved, which may be the true goal.
Tumblr media
When Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli first meet Eomer, Gimli says something rude to him and Eomer says that he would cut off Gimili’s head if it were further from the ground. Legolas responds by drawing an arrow and threatening Eomer, which takes a tense but calm interaction and escalates it into a stand off. There was nothing about Eomer’s behaviour to suggest that he was actually going to harm Gimili. It was more about trading aggressive banter than an actual threat to Gimli’s life. It’s Legolas who unnecessarily escalates the situation and causes the Rohirrim to draw their weapons. He isn’t dangerously impulsive elsewhere in the movies, which makes me think he didn’t understand the interaction. He took Eomer’s words as a genuine threat and reacted as though Gimli was already in danger, which doesn’t seem to have been the case.
Conclusion
I’m of the opinion that a neurotypical Legolas is kind of a bad character. It makes it difficult to get a sense of his internal life, what motivates him or why he responds the way he does. So much of what he does and says seems like the writers and actor just didn’t know what to do with him. That may be the case, but if we re-interpret his behaviour as elf autism, he’s a more interesting and sympathetic character. I think we are always meant to interpret him as having a different brain from humans, but even the oldest and wisest elves interact more “correctly” with others. I’m not suggesting that Legolas was written as intentionally autistic, but so much of what makes him an erratically-written neurotypical character makes him a plausibly written autistic character.

Things that went through my head while watching this episode:
--This is the episode when I can most look at Gyokko's eyes as eyes
--We were robbed of the chance to see Muichiro and Shinobu tag-teaming on a verbal slaughter of a demon
--That said, with how much I started wanting more Muichiro & Kanamori interaction in the previous episode, I was really, really, really happy to get it here. Kanamori's freak-out performance is a gem, and now I headcanon that in the immediate aftermath, Muichiro recovered in Kanamori's home so that he and his wife could look after him (and Kanamori could get to know him better, if only Muichiro weren't probably out cold (or hot?) for two days and then brought to the Butterfly Mansion where his temperature was recorded--but hey, the light novel gives me hope for more off-screen interactions).
--Haganezuka is such an MVP
--Kotetsu's calmness is so appreciated. He really is so stoic in a lot of ways, and wise beyond his years. ...Not always, of course.
--In the demon profiles in the second fanbook, their elimination is credited to the Corp members who killed them, though sometimes that credit is widely attributed if it was a group effort (for instance, everybody we focused on the Natagumo arc gets some credit in taking down Rui). In Gyokko's case, I think it's only fair if Kotetsu, Kanamori, and Haganezuka is get some credit in Gyokko's defeat. Muichiro wouldn't have survived without them.
--It really is Gyokko's bad luck he was the strongest opponent Muichiro has faced thus far, because that was part of what it took to push Muichiro to both a desperate point that tipped him over the edge in attaining both his mark and his memories. Gyokko was a goner against a genius with two power-ups, especially while he was already frustrated with a man like Haganezuka.
--Gyokko's final words about how he is a more perfect being than Muichiro sounded very Muzan-like, so I looked back in the fanbooks to double-check that indeed, Muzan rather likes Gyokko. Perhaps that it only due to selling his pots, because a one of my favorite 4-panel comics has Muzan very blatantly state that he doesn't care if Gyokko burns up in the sun, but I'd like to think Muzan found him likable for his own arrogance too. It was clear, of course, that Gyokko considers Muzan the most perfect being.
--This also reminded me Gyokko has a preference for eating children. Kinda ironic, dontcha think? Aside from being beaten by someone who is still practically a child, this battle could have been a lot darker if Gyokko took a hungry interest in Kotetsu.
--Ms. Tokito is pretty and I wish we got more of her. : /
--Muichiro is so many levels of child in this episode. Such a brat. The biggest brat. Snot-nosed, arrogant brat. BABY.
--I love how much this episode added little touches of humanity to Amane and her daughters; Ufotable really went for that. The struggle Amane, a mother of multiples, feels as he separates the twins' handhold. And then the narrative symmetry of having ghost!Yuichiro place his hand back on top of Muichiro's! Kya, I love it!!
--Speaking of love
--Mitsuri-chan, you may as well be the Angel Pillar. You are too sweet and graceful and wonderful for this world. That entrance, and it background music. That move wrapping the sword around one serpent and practically floating with the momentum as you use it to knock down the others. That cheerful assurance to your juniors. I love you. I love you right down to your peachy fingernails.
--Backing up a bit, credit where credit is due--Tanjiro is holding up amazing well and someone keeping minimally injured. He and Genya and Nezuko have been a significant help keeping him/them occupied this long, otherwise the damage to the village would have been far more wide-spread than just what the monster fishes did.
--Also, poor Tanjiro and Muichiro both have had to go this whole battle without shoes! Poor kids! And Nezuko too, those feet are just spares anyway.
--Genya is using those demon powers for more than just regeneration now! Look at him take on that serpent with his bare hands!
--I love how much Ufotable committed to making us feel everything Tanjiro went through in a series of very busy manga panels--his foot getting messed him, the damage to his ear and how that throws him off, and then that squeeze! It's easy to forget that happened in the manga because it was so quick, but with all those sound effects and darkness, they really sold how close he came to being mush. (Consider this practice, Tanjiro.)
--Thanks for the Rengoku feels, Gotouge. You crocodile.

Silly ask, but between your main ocs, has some of them ever struggled with loneliness?
Loneliness is one of my top favorite bits of angst to write honestly so all of them have struggled with it.
Every member of the Fabled Five have dealt with loneliness.
Jack truly doesn't have any friends prior to the comic aside from Malt because he never really got along well with other kids his age. Throwing in the fact his eyes went green when he got too emotional and he's do irrational things occasionally and you have plenty of parents who didn't care too much about having their children around him. He spent a good chunk of his childhood just on the farm being homeschooled or wandering around the forest exploring.
Pinokuni is an automaton, and one made under special circumstances so he felt outcasted by both actual automatons and humans because of his origins. His family was the only one to really be there for him, especially after he started to hang out with Romeo and his group of troublemakers where he learned the hard way some humans will really never truly see him as a being with emotions. Plus, Pin spent a good while in the stomach of a sea monster before getting fished out by the giant and being rescued by Jack so he had rather long stretch of solitude.
Nana didn't grow up with any friends. The closest she had was her father and when he passed, she was devastated. Her mother was rather sheltering...a bit too much so she never really left the Lupine Forest save for going to Briar Patch. And even then, she is very introverted and isn't the type to really start conversations with people she doesn't know if it isn't important. Toss in the fact she has a resting face that looks like she doesn't want to be bothered and many people tend to hesitate on approaching her. The people in Briar Patch are very nice but it really takes Jack's oblivious ass to help build a bridge between the two.
Kai was a very sheltered prince back in his home kingdom. When he got cursed and winded up having to flee for his life due to a misunderstanding, he winded up going from a castle full of friendly faces to a world that often screamed at the first sight of him. Up until he encounters the Fable Five, he spent a good chunk of time by himself just trying to make it by via foraging and finding safe yet isolated places to use as shelter for the nights.
Ashe grew up practically outcasted by by her step family because she was Bookmarked and awakened her Märchen at an early age. She was limited to the house and her room was the literal attic. She didn't have ANY friends growing up because her stepsisters would spread around lies and rumors about her that'd scare people away.
Nova, after the situation with her ex where she found out he was using her to cheat on his girlfriend he had been dating WAY longer than her, was outcasted by the online world due to a slander campaign run by him to paint her like the homewrecker. Due to him and his girlfriend being big internet influencers and having large follower counts, many believed them over Nova who was just starting with her singing career. The only friends she managed to keep were the ones she had prior to meeting her ex but even then, they couldn't save her from the isolation of knowing damn near everyone had a screwed up false image of you.
It's the reason she's so quick to snap now because prior to the incident, she was literally a sweetheart and "cinnamon roll" as the kids say.
Pluto didn't even have the benefit of having friends as as kid as they grew up sheltered by their parents. And not in the good way where they worried about their safety but in the "We want to make sure you only hang around the people we want you to" and often that meant they were limited to only interacting with business partners to try and strengthen relationships for their parents. After the alien goop experiment which lead to them becoming their cyborg self we know now, those interactions stopped...as well as any actually. They went from being the neglected child to a research subject in a containment room.
Toss in the fact their parents had a new child over to replace them and Pluto was not in the best space mentally as a teen. Especially one who literally had their body torn apart and put back together for an experiment just to get their parents to love them and see them less as a hassle.
Bitterbat's time as a baby was tragic to be real with ya'. His dad didn't want anything to do with raising him until he could walk and talk so he spent much of his time crying in his crib without anyone to come in comfort him. And if someone did come, it was often a servant that snuck into his chamber because his cries were so pitiful and saddening that they felt the need to do something. It was important that these servants snuck in because if Lord Vile discovered they were "babying" his living weapon, he would make quick work of them. The man had a very strict "You will interact with this thing only when I tell you to" policy.
Bitterbat was fed and bathed to keep him alive and healthy but even as a grown man he still has nightmares about his time as a baby and toddler due to just how isolating it was.
Sweetheart was also deemed a bit weird as a kid. Not too weird it was concerning but she did struggle a bit with maintain friendships at an early age. It took her becoming Charmed, leading to the eventual creation of the Beloveds who each have their own struggles in social situations leading to them being known as the weird kids, that led to her having an eventual lifetime friendship. After Angel's death and the team breaking up, Sweetheart threw herself into a solo hero career. And going from having a big squad to being just yourself is a big jump. Especially when you winded up separating from someone from an entirely different dimension who you thought was the one for you with a single digit percent of a chance to ever meet them again.
Sweetheart's has stated that her solo years prior to Bitterbat's returned have been the worst years of her life.

I have been having so many thoughts about my anni/lily au my guy-
Basically, there are two kingdoms, one (the Tenma kingdom) says music should be used to emphasize the world's good, the other (the Shiraishi kingdom) says it should heal and acknowledge the bad, and they don't really like each others. The kids in the first (1st anni + Saki, Airi, Toya, Emu, Mizuki) are all connected to the royal court in some way, while those in the second (2nd anni + Shiho, Haruka, An, Nene, Ena) are connected to the Clockwork Museum, a place that preserves the arts.
Eventually, the kids in each group begin to interact across lines, and they begin to realize that they aren't so different. They try to push for the kingdoms to make amends, with...less than pretty results...
Hundreds of years later in what may or may not be another dimension, the group leaders are reincarnated into the regular prsk world as minor dieties (3rd anni cards) meant to help the groups, but they and their respective 2nd anni kid in their group begin to have memories of their previous lives.
Additional Ruikasa under the cut because I've been thinking about these two in my au a lot-
Tsukasa is the crown prince of his kingdom, and is dead set on the idea that music should only be used to bring smiles, nothing else. His kingdom's beliefs leave him a bit stubborn, and make acknowledging when he himself feels negative things difficult. He is closest with Saki, his sister and more of a carefree royal, and Toya, the reluctant conductor for the royal symphony that's like a brother to him.
Rui is a lonely man that lives within the Clockwork Museum, a former actor who works to archive plays, alongside toys and robots, which he himself makes at times. He used to do shows alongside Nene, a songstress with a magical voice, but they drifted apart over time.
Tsukasa eventually stumbles across the Museum for plot reasons I've yet to figure out, and he is appalled by it at first. How could songs about sad things be helpful? Rui is a bit turned off by Tsukasa's stubborn nature and closed-mindedness at first as well, but as they end up spending more time together they start to like and respect each other more. Tsukasa helps Rui see his own worth and reach out to others more, and Rui helps Tsukasa be more in touch with his emotions and improve himself as a ruler and musician.
Eventually, they and the others try working to bring the two kingdoms together as they realize their similarities, but this leads to basically a bounty against these twenty newly-wanted criminals, even when a lot of them were royalty, celebrities, artisans, everything. The two of them end up in the courtyard of Tsukasa's castle, smoke hanging in the air, aware that they will be executed soon, and they decide to spend their last moments ballroom dancing to a music box Rui had made for them before things got so difficult, tears falling down their faces, not only from fear, but from content that they were able to die together.
-
Tsukasa Tenma is a god of happiness, blessed with powers perfect for shows such as telekinesis and element manipulation. He initially starts out simply helping a pair of sibling pianists smile, before finding a girl trying to start a theater troupe to save a struggling stage.
As she and Tsukasa work to find members, he comes across inventor and performer Rui, the two instantly finding themselves drawn to each other, not only because of their abilities, but because of the fuzzy memories that appear in their minds after they meet.
An off-key music box, a slow dance at the end of the world...
