Propaganda under the cut.
Propaganda for Shanks x Buggy:
What if we were childhood friends who gave up our drama for each other then never saw each other again for years
What can I say, I'm a fellow shuggy truther too 🤝
Shanks obviously adores Buggy, and Buggy is so tsundure~! Mr 'I hate Shanks'-but-will-take-every-opportunity-to-talk-about-him-and-be-with-him.
Oden says in his journal that he can't tell if they're friends of enemies, and I just love that. Plus when you add in the revelation about Shanks and Buggy in the recent chapters.
They're childhood friends. They're exes. They've been married for 20 years. They're opposites. They're the same. They're silly goofy guys who make me want to cry my heart out. Red/Blue is always meant to be.
Buggy """""HATES""""" Shanks. This hate is so strong that he WILL yell at this red-haired bastard despite the fact that he is a coward, who is terrified of all the Emperors. Everyone thinks this is strange. However, when you grow up with said Emperor on the same boat, watching him stumble over his feet as he's trying to learn to use a sword, stuck scrubbing the whole deck because he was stupid enough to prank "Dark King" Rayleigh, and make that same stupid pouty face every time his Conqueror's Haki doesn't do anything because he is an itty bitty child, most of that fear gets pretty quelled. Also, that same fucker lost an arm because he's a DUMBASS and he deserves to be made fun of for it (not because Buggy is worried and missed him not at all no no Shanks is just DUMB and needs to be TOLD he is dumb more. But just by Buggy. Because Buggy has known his idiocy forever. He has earned the right to yell at this stupid, stupid Emperor for being a self-sacrificing fool and for giving away that stupid hat and... Wait, hang on, when did this bastard get hot!? WHAT THE FUC-) And Shanks just keeps smiling at Buggy and his antics because he has 100% been in love with him since they were children (his actions while they were on the Roger pirates are the DEFINITION of pigtail-pulling as flirting) and he is just happy to see that he's safe while being exactly the same larger-than-life clown he always knew. He would gladly give up his life of sluttery (that I am convinced this man has. Just look at how he exists) if Buggy would just agree to join his crew, but will not push him if he doesn't want to. He just loves his pretty clown from a distance and waits. TLDR: Buggy is mad that he's in love with Shanks and Shanks just likes existing with and/or annoying Buggy (they come as a pair). GOD I just love childhood friends to lovers bro. Just let the cabin boys kiss.
[Spoiler Warning] Red and Blue gays! Emperor husbands! Childhood friends to enemies to lovers!
Propaganda for Nami x Vivi:
Yes, Nami has a new girlfriend on every island, but her heart belongs to Vivi. Vivi in turn refuses to marry, because her heart belongs with a pirate ❤
THEY’RE LESBIANS! IN LOVE! another point: my friends who are watching OP for the first time came to me and asked “so Nami and Vivi… they’re gay right?” So it’s pretty apparent to even newcomers
I just think they’re neat! And in love. Nami gave up money for Vivi that’s True Love
Anyone who saw them can just tell they’re gay. Like Nami gave up money for her
They're one of the rare lesbian ships in op, they care for each other so much !!
Lesbians
Lesbians
They were so gay that Luffy offered to share food to cheer Nami up when they were separated.
i dare you to read Baroque Works through Alabasta without shipping them. the way Vivi and Nami are so affectionate with each other, and Vivi putting saving her nation on hold to get Nami healthy again ???
Lesbians
Let’s go lesbians!!!!! Ok but actually, I think Nami saw a lot of herself in Vivi (ha) especially when Igaram “died” and then throughout their journey together Nami really encouraged her to open up to the crew. Nami showed Vivi it was ok to ask for help just like Luffy showed her.
Vivi was Nami's gay awakening and you cant change my mind. Nami was in love with Vivi and Vivi def had some kind of feeling for Nami. They were so close and they were more then just 'gal pals'
Lesbian Pirate Supremacy! they clearly care a lot about each other and considering when nami meets vivi she is probably one of the first close female friends she gets to have.

"When did we get separated in life, sweet warrior woman? We thought we'd won the war of liberation when we embraced the word gay. Then, suddenly there were professors and doctors and lawyers coming out of the woodwork telling us that meetings should be run by Robert's Rules of Order. (Who died and left Robert god?) We dressed up after work for the new meetings on campus, but they drove us out, made us feel ashamed of how we looked. They said we were male chauvinist pigs: the enemy. It was women's hearts they broke. We were not hard to send away. We went quietly. The plants closed, something we never could have imagined. That's when I was sent into exile and began passing as a man. Strange to be exiled form your own gender to borders that will never be home. You were banished too, to another land, with your own gender, and yet forced apart from the women you loved as much as you tried to love yourself. For more than twenty years i have lived on this lonely shore, wondering what became of you. Did you wash off your Saturday-night makeup in shame? Did you burn in anger when women said, "if I wanted a man, I'd be with a real one"? Are you turning tricks today? Are you waiting tables or learning WordPerfect? Are you in a lesbian bar looking out of the corner of your eye for the butchest woman in the room? Do the women there talk about Democratic politics and photography and co-ops? Are you with women who bleed only monthly on their cycles? Or are you in another blue-collar town, lying with an unemployed auto worker who is much more like me than they are, listening for the even breathing of your sleeping children? Do you bind his emotional woulds the way you tried to heal mine? Do you ever think of me in the cool night? I've been writing this letter to you for hours. My ribs hurt bad from a beating two weeks ago. You know. I never could have survived this long if I'd never known your love. yet still I ache with missing you. I need you so. Only you could melt this stone. Are you ever coming back? The storm has passed now. There is a pink glow at the horizon outside my window. I am remembering the nights I fucked you deep and slow until the sky was just this color. I can't think about you anymore; the pain is swallowing me up. I have to put your memory away, like a precious sepia photograph. There are still so many things I want to tell you, to share with you. Since I can't male you this letter, I'll sent it to a place where they keep women's memories safe. Maybe someday, passing through this big city, you will stop and read it. Maybe you won't. Good night, my love." -"Letter to a fifties femme from a stone butch" Leslie Feinberg, The Persistent Desire, (Edited by Joan Nestle) (1992)

ROOM OF SWORDS SPOILERS
just me ranting about webtoon's comment section because I want to exteriorize some stuff
The whole Roseberry situation is so so weird to me. Tbh when I started room of swords I didn't care much about the ships, I was there for the plot, but when strawbarrow was revealed to have been canon all along I was so happy for them
However a lot of people were displeased because they thought Gyrus would end up with Tori.
I think one of the comment sections that struck me the most was right as the episode ended with Tori kissing "Gyrus" (who was actually Kodya in Gyrus' body pretending to be him) and someone commented "imagine possessing your boyfriend's body only for some girl to kiss him" which was a pretty funny comment
some people responded however that if anything Kodya was Gyrus' ex because he had been in a relationship with BB!Gyrus but New Gyrus didn't know him the same way. Which WOULD have been a good argument to make if Gyrus hadn't been making puppy eyes at Kodya since S1...
tbh it's fine not to see it, I didn't see it either at first, but to say that Gyrus was CLEARLY attracted to Tori???????? when he never showed any sign of liking her as more than a friend?
I've read RoS many, many times both before and after it ended (been reading it from 2019 oh god it's been so long???) and all through S1 there are these small, small hints that Gyrus has a small crush on Kodya EVEN THOUGH he doesn't remember him. They were always meant to be together.
Tori does develop some feelings towards him, granted (we do learn that it's because he looks like her beloved but that's later, people couldn't have known back then), but that doesn't make Gyrus entitled to return them.
People shipping Roseberry shouldn't make the authors entitled to change THE ENTIRE PLOT simply because some people aren't happy with their story choices.
At that point there's been many hints that New Gyrus and Kodya are still attracted to one another and I'm just sad and confused that those people were in so much denial.
On the brighter side, the next episode really starts with Tori telling "Gyrus" that she knows he loves Kodya because she's seen him LITERALLY PINING SINCE DAY ONE. AND THAT SHES A LESBIAN.
case closed, right? Kodya and Gyrus are canon and still very much in love, and Tori herself is in love with another, yet unnamed woman.
well lo and behold: s2 finale's comment section!
we finally see Kodya and Gyrus sharing their first kiss onscreen, so someone in the comment section said something like "THEY FINALLY KISSED AAAAA OUR SHIP IS SAILING" which was also my reaction and a legit reaction to it??
and since there was A LOT of dislikes (over 1,6k I believe) the op edited to say something about homophobes and the backlash was even greater
and in the answers there was actually quite a lot of people being salty because their own ship didn't sail and
I mean idk
maybe I can't understand because my ship sailed and not theirs but what the hell
first of all homophobes exist. the authors commented that they had lost about 20% of their audience when they revealed that Gyrus and Kodya were canon, and they received a lot of hate online for it.
second of all as I said it's not about ships it's about the plot. strawbarrow was always endgame and the whole story, including the romance between Kodya and Gyrus and the important role it played on the story, been planned since over a year before RoS was published. this is not your story, if you're not happy about it go read or write some fix it fanfics (it's not so bad once you get used to it). but in terms of writing strawbarrow was so well executed, I feel like being mad just because of a ship is really disrespecting the authors' intentions.
third of all, it had been made painfully clear since A LONG TIME AGO that they wouldn't end up together. clinging onto that hope was really unnecessary. they shouldn't be mad anymore, it had been over for a while now and they should have made their peace. people complaining by the time of s2 finale were really just delusional.
fourth of all, the dislikes may not all be from homophobes but if they aren't then they're from jerks. it's not because you're unhappy that things didn't go your way that you have to hate on other people because they got what they wanted and not you. that's just being mean smh,, let people enjoy the things they like in peace

Small break from regularly scheduled good omens content because I finally watched the end of Lioness and like…come on. I knew it was a crap show the whole time I was watching it, but like…fucking hell.
In aid of anyone who like…doesn’t want to write bad stories, here are many of the things lioness did wrong. Please look away if you liked this show I’m not here to spoil anyone’s fun. Full spoilers below the cut.
- almost every single plot strand outside the main secret agent infiltration narrative was totally random and completely external, rather than grown from character or existing story. Not enough CIA shooting in this ep? Oh, your team has been borrowed for an illegal mission on US soil. Natural family angst not at a high enough level? Ah, daughter’s in a deadly car accident with people we’ve never seen or heard of and won’t again. Oh, and she’s randomly pregnant at 14! Cool cool cool. But it’s ok cuz god gives her an abortion
- the plot REGULARLY made no sense and the characters couldn't employ logic if it slapped them in the face. Like, someone explain to me why AFTER you have already run an insertion op to start the embedding process for your asset - thus meaning that the mark could contact her at ANY POINT - you decide THAT is the moment when you should fake abduct her, beat her up enormously, including on her face. Like, if it had been a ploy to get Aaliyah's sympathy that would have been one thing, but they 100% hadn't thought it through at all. These are supposed to be crack agents???
- they had a central moral quandary but they didn’t understand what it was or what they were trying to say. Was it about how money is all that counts and rich people are gonna rich no matter who you kill (eg all the weird dialogue with Nicole Kidman's husband)? Was it that fighting terrorism with terrorism is ineffective and pointless and cruel (literally one single conversation between Joe and Cruz at the end)? Is it that trying to have it all as a woman is not possible when you’re a super secret agent (I think this one was unintentional consequence of super clichéd writing tbh)? Was it that any problem can be solved with enough shooty fighty (prob the most evidence for this one)? The show certainly doesn't know, so how could I?
- the show was BAD at writing queer women. Like, ok, it was hot, and aaliyah and cruz had interesting potential. But there were these moments that rang SO false. Like...after Cruz runs from the hotel room after sleeping with Aaliyah, Joe heads off to meet her. She grabs Bobby and says, let's go. I literally was like, oh, finally, Bobby will talk some lesbian sense into Cruz. But Bobby was just like...there to drive the main character to the hotel?? You have a canonically queer woman and another going through extreme queer angst and you just...don't put them in the same room?
- the politics. Like, Ok. I know it's paramount plus. I know it's the same guy who did Yellowstone. I know it's US propaganda, and copaganda, and like every ganda that's known to humankind. I know it's not overtly antiabortion but also kind of is, I know it has a THING about the way it writes woman (like..did Joe really seem the type to have kids to anyone?? Are women EVER allowed to be strong and badass without a rape backstory AND an abuse backstory?). It's all terrible. But fine, whatever I sort of signed up for it. I knew from the first five minutes that this was going to be America Rah Rah Shootytime, and tbh I knew from the posters. But the thing that really pissed me off in the end? The like absolutely random and unnecessary barbs at climate change. There were just a few moments but it basically made out like the politicians wanted to keep this 'terrorist' alive because he was artificially inflating the price of oil and they're trying to 'wean the country off fossil fuels'. Like, REALLY? We don't have enough conspiracy theories? Fucksake.
And finally - the ending. After all the moral questioning about whether she can kill Aaliyah's father or not, Cruz's hand is forced and she ends up having to kill or be killed, which is an utter cop out. She also does not go back for Aaliyah. I'm sorry. That is some bullshit. I just don't buy it. I mean the whole plan was super dumb - literally, it really made zero sense - but was Cruz really happy to put Aaliyah in jeopardy that way? She is the one who brought this killer into the house - does Cruz really think she is safe? And given everything Aaliyah was saying about how little she wanted that life, wouldn't Cruz have offered her the chance to run with her? I dunno. Obviously not all lesbian stories have to be happy. But that one was just DUMB.
Ok, thus ends my rant on the narrative shortcomings of a terrible show that I watched because...lesbians. Anyway. I hope you either enjoyed the show, or enjoyed the rant!

Notes of warning/importance
I have a slight headcannon for some lore here. The circles are giant domed cities connected to one another via tubes with plenty of ventilation to keep out the mists from what I call the badlands. These mists corrupt almost all who enter by first slowly but noticably draining a demons sentience turning them into beasts of burden with one mission and one mission only...Feed. of course it also slowly corrupts the form until it's a complete feral form of itself. The only beings so far known to resist the mists were Lucifer and Lilith aside from the dragon twins. I also suck at art like my blog description says so I used avatar makers to make the pictures here and I'll just use an image of deathwing from world of Warcraft/blizzard entertainment for Bahamut 's dragon form and an ancient silver dragon from DND/wizards of the coast for tiamaht's until I can better form arts of the dragon modes better myself.
Roleplay rules&info
Minors DNI
Bahamut is straight and Tiamaht, Ruby, and Lillian are lesbian both dragons are polyamorous and imps are monogamous
Shitposting questions are not allowed so no "ur mom gae" kinda stuff.
If absolutely necessary I will deactivate anon asks but I don't want to for now and will change this bit of text if I had to.
Be respectful of others and me as a person out of character because in character is one thing, lots of folk in hell are pricks. People have their own lives and luxuries to live and experience and don't deserve to be rushed or disrespected when you don't even know the person in the slightest.
Sexual asks I must mention be kept to an all time low or just not at all but there are characters like angel even if they're not other men or other angel dusts and I can't stop them but in most cases I won't be answering them
Character intros
These are the twin dragons of hell Bahamut (left), Keeper of Knowledge was manifested billions of ages ago when Hell was a singular realm and not split into the 7 circles that we have now in modern day. According to many legends of him (and to confirm them) he IS Hell's oldest living encyclopedia and a master strategist. He has the wit, but not the power, to far exceed any modernly known demon...including the Radio Demon himself. But if he were put into a fight of raw power against say, angel dust, the spirder'd be burned to a crisp. He believes in Charlie's ambitious nature but as a Primordial Daemon, Bahamut is bound to Hell and can never be redeemed despite his efforts and has made peace with that. (Physical notes not said: he's 5'10, he's not lacking for anyone he's with and though I didn't find a good one he does have a longer tail to sell the dragon aspect further)
Tumblr media
His sister Tiamaht, Protectorate or Relics(right) was a demon born before Hell was divided into the 7 circles we know now. She, like her brother, is an extremely loyal demon. She is the strength to her brother's strategy yet is far more nomadic than him. Of course she's not all that into planning without Bahamut there. Unlike Bahamut though she uses ice magic instead of flame magic. In person lately she is very tomboyish and kind of a dick but openly admits as such but follows up with "people need people to be blunt sometimes and it's not easy but if I'm the one who has to in situations I'm then I'll make sure I tell it how it is" (physical details not told yet: shes 5'3, they may not be bif but her partners love em, also has a tail she uses to teasingly spank partners.)

And below this text are the dragon forms

Job: Helluva Post delivery woman
(Both Ruby and Lillian were made using this ⬇️)

Name: Lillian Servont (pronounced like servant but it's Ser-vahnt), age 1576, gender: cis female, orientation: poly lesbian, job: personal assistant/secretary to the first overlord to accept her application (will edit this post to change that) so that she can run a business specifically meant to send people on that path.

This thing for me is fine hate Rose people are entitled to their own opinion, but Dan is the hill to die on?? Dan is peak character writing and representation?? Dan??
Also, the "try liking a character that gets actual sexism and racism on the daily" is getting to me. What does that even mean?? This is talking about working class characters? The way they said it implies that Dan goes through racism and sexism everyday? Dan??
Yeah, honestly I couldn't give two shits about people hating Rose? People have been talking about how Rose is boring and a bitch and too stupid and so on for longer than I've known the show existed (a bit over a decade at this point), and they'll be saying the same shit until the end of the fandom's existence. I take issue, however, with acting like everyone who disagrees with you about a dumb (affectionate) little sci-fi show is stupid, especially when you're actively insulting them.
And yeah, there's like a lot to be said on the concept of "representation" in general. Other people have articulated this better than I ever will. If you focus too hard on a character being "representation", somewhere along the way, you lose the "character" part. Not every character that fits the same demographic(s) as you is going to feel like they match your experiences 100%, and they shouldn't! If no one person's experiences are universal, how can we expect a character to portray universal experiences without losing that piece that makes them feel more like a character than a plot device being used for diversity points? It's good to have diverse characters! I'm not joking when I say Jack Harkness was a stepping stone in realizing I'm a lesbian - would it have taken me less time to realize if I'd had Bill to look up to when I was 13? Would I have felt comfortable with myself at a younger age if I'd seen a lesbian character on my favorite show? I can only hope that that's what happened for people younger than me! But, at least to me, you lose something when you focus on "good representation" over diverse good characters.
The thing about looking at Rose through the lens of representation is that... that's not what she was designed to be? Her experiences inform her character, but her story isn't about that background. Sure, call her bad representation. She was never intended to be representation. It's not a fucking gotcha. She's a character first.
And with Dan... I can't see him as serious commentary. His house gets shrunk as a joke. His house stays shrunk as a joke. We do not see the ramifications of him losing his house, I don't really see that as commentary on poverty or homelessness when we don't actually see what happens to him afterwards. I won't tell anyone they can't see themselves in his character or situation, but to say that everyone should universally agree that he's more relatable is literally bringing us back to square one of "this character resonates more with me and therefore they are better universal representation and if you disagree you're just a basic bitch that needs to grow up." It's not productive. Besides, isn't the point of representation supposed to be that the more a particular marginalized experience is portrayed, the more likely it is that someone will find something that resonates with them?
And as for talking about Rose being a disservice to Dan... I haven't seen anyone comparing Dan and Rose aside from OP. I won't say it doesn't exist, clearly we do not run in the same circles, but it's not something I see at all. Though if we want to get down to it - yeah, I see my experiences (admittedly as an American) more in Rose than Dan. And that's okay. I'm a young adult who has barely left home whose experiences of being poor are colored by that - of course I'm going to see myself in the 19 year old still living with her mom than the 50-something year old who is living on his own. But that doesn't mean I can't respect people who feel differently.
As for "try liking a character that gets actual sexism and racism on the daily", I can only assume that they were talking about Yaz. But of course, as you said, the placement makes it sound like it's about Dan. It's a really weird place to start talking about Yaz, especially since they didn't actually mention her by name and she wasn't being discussed prior. And they did block my friend for pointing out that actually experiencing racism and such is worse than being a fan of a character that is treated that way by fans so... take that as you will.
Also no part of main tagging these posts (including one that begins "rose tyler is so fucking boring"), calling Rose fans "basic bitches" (again - whether or not you think calling Rose a bitch is misogynistic - calling real people, at least some of whom are women, bitches because they disagree with you is, in fact, misogynistic), and saying "#rose stans are so easy to wind up #just say you don't like her or she's bad rep #and they start crying and shitting themselves #it's so funny" reads as attempting to have a discussion about these characters in good faith. It's just so clearly deliberately trying to start shit. Like grow up, it's 2023, get a hobby less reminiscent of a middle school bully.
Also like. You didn't mention it at all but I will talk about Rose's ending (especially looking at Doomsday specifically) being 1. a punishment rather than a reward, and 2. really horrifying to me, actually (from a power imbalance perspective, not just a Rose fan perspective) until I'm blue in the face. And also I do find it funny that someone said that "Rose Tyler and Charlie Bucket are a fantasy, that if you work, behave and are good at heart, you will get the ultimate treasure in capitalist society, capital." Like first of all I know it was someone on the pro-Rose side that brought it up, but I don't think the Charlie comparison is worthwhile at all. Second of all, I love her but what part of Rose's story is her working and behaving and that's how she ends up rich? Babe didn't work for money (though she did work to be undercover for what, a week?) onscreen a single day after the Doctor blew up her job. Since when is Rose "jeopardy friendly" Tyler known for behaving? And if half of your point is that she's a bitch... well that kills "good at heart" a bit, doesn't it?

Odd Girls part 2 - Boston Marriages and women choosing relationships with women, sexual or not
"But other[ college educated women in the late 1800s and early 1900s] never married because they preferred to continue what they discovered in their women's colleges - relationships with 'kindred spirits,' other women who were interested in following the same dreams, with whom they thought it was far more possible to have a loving connection of equals that it was with a man. Many of those women paired with other female college graduates to establish same-sex households... Whether or not those relationships were were usually sexual cannot be definitively known... The nineteenth century, observing them from the outside, would have called them romantic friendships." "As pioneering females with ambitions, these women understood well that marriage would most likely interfere with their self-realization. Marriage was seldom feasible for them, not only because the demands of running a home and bearing children at that time made any other pursuit all but impossible, but also because there were few husbands who could be expected to sacrifice their historically entrenched male prerogatives to revolutionary female notions." "... many of those early professional women did not necessarily feel they were making a sacrifice in relinquishing marriage. Their choice to follow a profession may even have served as an excuse to remain heterosexually celibate. Since society generally agreed that marriage and career were incompatible for a woman, those who found marriage distasteful and preferred to live with another female realized that they would be granted social license to arrange their lives as they pleased if they pursued an education and a profession. But even those who did not realize before they elected their revolutionary paths that they preferred to make their lives with other females often found that a 'Boston marriage' had great advantages. ...Those career women's relationships... were not simply faute de mieux (means for want of a better alternative). ... same-sex 'marriages' ... could be not only nurturing relationships but also relationships of equals in terms of finances, responsibilities, decision-making - all areas in which the husband claimed precedence and advantage in heterosexual marriage. They potentially fostered rather than interfered with the heady and exciting new ambitions of the early generations of professional women." I think it's interesting that despite what we perceive of the Victorian period - women must marry, can only ever marry, and must be the Angel for the house and husband. That now it is more crazy to suggest to women to forgo marriage for the benefits (career advancement, healthcare, child care, mental health (see my post from Backlash about divorce improving mental health and therapy and marriage counseling enabling bad relationships). Talk about choosing even sexless relationships with women instead of het relationships and you're accused of misogyny. What's the chance it's because now such relationships would be assumed to always be sexual, and therefore "too close" to lesbianism? Has lesbian visibility triggered homophobia that prevents conceptualizing of these types of relationships as a viable option for straight women? And since the US is rolling back contraceptive access and abortion, would a feeling of increased reproductive risk bring these back? Would more discussion about how millenial and gen z men are actually more misogynistic as a group than gen y also bring this about? Or is it that women have lost separate spaces (women's colleges, secondary schools, community groups, consciousness raising spaces/groups?) and therefore have lost the physical and emotional infrastructure that could re-foster this? And finally, since post-modernism is basically a class-busting psy-op at this point for women, what would it require to undo the damage of queer theory/post-modernism so that these relationships could re-emerge for women?

First I want to state that I just want to give my very calm take on this whole Yelena aroace discourse, I’m not trying to attack or erase anyone’s identity:
Here’s the thing, that panel that ppl keep saying is proof that she’s ace? It’s not about that, they’re taking it out of context, the whole page gives it a completely different meaning. It’s more about how Yelena doesn’t think she’s a person, kinda how Natasha says she has no place in the world during the Wanda induced flashbacks in Age of Ultron. Just because there’s some who want to interpret it as her saying she’s asexual doesn’t mean that’s what she’s saying or that it’s canon, that’s not how that works.
And the writer has said in a very recent (as in earlier this month) blog post that, when Yelena (the one that was born, not the clone) was first created, the terms asexual, aromantic or aroace did not exist, and even if they did, Yelena wouldn’t have known about them because Russia is very conservative and if she had hinted at being ANYTHING other than cishet she would have most likely been jailed or persecuted bc that’s a reality for LGBTQ+ Russians even to this day, and Yelena would have been living in Russia back in the 70s-90s.
She also said that when people ask about her sexuality, she can imagine her being ace making sense and would hope that was the case but she has no say in the matter because she doesn’t own the character and her opinions aren’t more right than that of the fans. She literally said she gives us her blessing to interpret Yelena however we want and to be kind to one another. She said that at this point her own opinions are pretty much headcanons as well. She also said that if Yelena was to date anyone it would make sense for it to be a woman.
Finally, she also said not to expect a big corporation like Marvel/Disney to give you the representation you deserve because more often than not, they won’t do a good job at it and probably won’t even attempt to unless it benefits them, which is true.
Here’s a thread that goes into further detail about other things about Yelena that pretty much let you know she’s never truly been aroace in the comics:
https: //clarabelacqua(.)tumblr(.)com/post/671418171845115904/yelena-is-aroace-why-is-it-so-hard-for-you-to
I’m not trying to be mean or erase anyone’s identity. I’m a lesbian, I’ve had such a hard time finding representation where we don’t die or we aren’t cheaters or we get a genuinely good ending, I know that’s still more than aroace people have gotten. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade bc I know what it’s like to headcanon a character in a certain way and have others give you shit for it.
I do however want to say that the hate and harassment that can be found under posts that talk about Kate and Yelena is disgusting. You can’t tell someone not to ship fictional characters or to do it in x or y way. You can’t call someone aphobic just because they don’t agree with you, a lot of the ops responding agree that Yelena should be ace in the mcu and they hope you all get that representation. But in all the comment sections I’ve seen it’s like talking to a wall. I get the anger, but that’s simply not going to make anyone listen to y’all, unfortunately it’s gonna give you a rep. I’ve said this before, people don’t think you’re annoying for wanting representation, we all do. People think it’s annoying to be called a bigot or an aphobe for minding their business online. They will respond and be petty and it’s not pretty. They aren’t fighting you on Yelena being aroace, a lot of the time it’s an aroace person under their post on the shipping tag being genuinely mean and unnecessarily rude. Maybe it would be better if those who don’t like something simply block the tag and avoid those posts, because seriously, they’re clearly not for you, so maybe don’t interact with those…
I genuinely hope this doesn’t go on for much longer because Yelena is such a good character that deserves all the love she gets, and ultimately, people will headcanon her as they please. It would be so good to simply enjoy that in peace.

Interesting....... More reasons to dislike Caitvi.
https://gojocaninfinitymyass.tumblr.com/post/669580071941619712/and-it-was-highly-uncomfortable-seeing-the-show
I don't know about you but I don't want that shitty ship to be canon. They are not only boring they don't have(romantic) chemistry.Their relationship has no buildup. It was all so rushed with unnecessary scenes such as the brothel scene(where caitlyn looks uncomfortable with vi acting like a fuckboy who doesn't respect personal boundaries) oil and water scene and the shower scene. They just meet and they already in love? wtf. I don’t buy it. We deserve better lgbt representation.(who disagree can suck my-)
I just typed a long ass reply AND IT GOT DELETED I HATE TUMBLR.
But anywyas, I don’t like CaitVi, I have said this multiple times LMDOA
The ship is forced, you can try to change my mind, but you can’t deny that it’s forced and if none of the fans asked for it, that wouldn’t be a thing. Riot didn’t even confirm their sexualities before this shit, but of course they had to make it a thing bc 💸money💸
Tell me why tf a bunch of straight men are all over this ship? In what world does that represent them? I have never seen people talk about Diana and Leona as much as they talk about Caitlyn and Vi, they barely even talk about other ships.
The goodbye scene was funny af tho LMFAO I know damn well I wouldn’t act like that with a girl I have only known for less than 3 days. I WOULDNT EVEN DO THAT IF IT WAS A WEEK WTF.
But the link tho, I feel like op is reaching in some points, Vi hallucinating about her sister is fine because cmon, she feels guilty for whatever happened to her after she punched and left her. Caitlyn was a bit egotistical for thinking she’s talking about her. Like some scenes were meant to be ‘emotional’ but im sorry they were funny af bc they wouldn’t make sense irl.
But I agree with exhibit B, Jinx lowkey has sister issues, but nothing sexual, it felt like op was trying to reference incest? Idk but I have seen someone else do that and they deleted the blog after i talked about it 💀 of course jinx would feel like she’s being replaced, it’s normal, she’s human and she thought her sister left her for good and now she’s back with a girl. Tell me you didn’t feel like you were being replaced when you were a child and your mom/dad was holding another child.
but yeah, the show was good, but it has flaws, starting with the ship.
Look, not to be one of those hoes who like to talk about men in a negative way all the time, but did you really think two men would give you the representation you want? TWO MEN GIVING YOU A LESBIAN REPRESENTATION???? I wonder if they’re gay, still that wouldn’t change a thing, but I still want to know whether they’re gay or straight or in between.
I’m in no way saying a woman would have made the ship any better, you can literally watch that American ‘anime’ (i forgot what it is called but its new and the main character has pink hair) the author is a woman, THE SHOW IS SHIT, THE REPRESENTATION IS SHIT, EVERYTHING IS SHIT. And let’s not start with her, she’s horse shit.
So yeah, I’m gonna end this with the fact that not a lot of people know how to write a good representation in shows, be that lgbt, race, religion or any other kind of representation. I can’t even think of one good show (maybe ‘One day at a time’? Idk). Show owners tend to take this as a fetish and a way to make money, it’s hard to find something good. They need to realize that an lgbt couple is just like any other couple, feelings take time develop or else it would be forced and bad. Asking for representation doesn’t mean you have to rush the fucking relationship.

as a cis lesbian, i have never, ever been pressured to have any sexual or romantic interaction of any kind with a trans woman, by anyone. no one has told me i should or need to be with a trans woman to prove that i am not transphobic, or to validate someone’s gender, or fucking whatever transphobes think lesbians are “pressured into sex” with trans women for. i have not been pressured into sex with a trans woman. ever. i’m only speaking for myself here.
in many lgbtq+ spaces i have attended irl, i am very comfortable with however many trans people have shared that space with me. some of them like women, some of them don’t, some are men, women, neither, both, fluctuating in between, whatever. i have not been disrespected by any of them for being a cis lesbian. and i have never so much as been asked if i’ve had any sexual or romantic experiences with trans women before. i am just known as a lesbian to trans people irl. no one has asked me if i would date or sleep with a trans woman and i know none of them are sitting around wondering if i would. because truly, the trans people i know of all genders and sexualities do not care what i do with my own sexuality. i’ve never had to bring it up myself either. truly, trans people do not give a shit.
trans people do not gather to tell everyone to date them. dating does not equal education or liberation, this is the dumbest of all fallacies. no one gives two shits about your dating life, dude, you’re not that hot.
when you enter a space for sapphic women to meet each other, you are not embracing the idea of sleeping with everyone in that space before going in. you also do not have to sleep with any trans woman in a space for queer women. if anyone’s pressuring you into sex, cis or trans, you have every right to reject them and if you are ever violated by another queer woman, i am truly sorry. you don’t deserve that. something needs to be done about that.
now if you’re shaking in your boots because you have read this post and thought “oh my god op would sleep with a trans woman there really are no real lesbians left” i haven’t said fuck all about if i’d sleep with a trans woman in this post. i haven’t named anyone in this post i would sleep with or date. “would you sleep with a trans person” is such a silly question to me. if you’re asking if i’d sleep with a woman of any other social demographic, you might as well ask me if i’d sleep with someone from cleveland or if i’d sleep with anyone whose favorite animal is a giraffe. it’s like..??? who are you putting in front of me and asking about anyway? i am not sitting around looking for transwomen or women from cleveland to sleep with. there has to be a person and situation to contextualize the question in order for it to make sense, otherwise i would just prefer not to be asked about it. it’s not worth discussing to me.
why does the visibility of transgender people make transphobes and even conservatives start worrying about lesbians?? what did i do? i’m right here, idk. if you’re worried about me, i’m fine. even right wingers will take on terfs to talk about ~the extinction of (cis) lesbians~ fucking. i’m right here. wanna ask me about my extinction? i don’t think lesbians are going anywhere, but whatever.
interestingly, i have had an experience this year where an old friend from my calc 2 class came out to me over text as a trans woman. and when she did, i told her, since i'd considered telling her although i’d not that of a reason to bring it up, that i’m a lesbian. some weeks later, she asked me, while insisting i didn’t have to answer this if i didn’t want to, how i’d figured out i was a lesbian. and i went off. woo boy what a complicated question, it is a very earth shattering thing sometimes to realize you can be a woman without loving men and especially that you are one. and she responded in awe at how much of what i said she had not even considered and thanked me for helping her realize she’s a lesbian, more abruptly than she had expected apparently. oh, and also, this trans lesbian friend? did not go on to pressure me into sex or a relationship, if you were wondering.

Dorothy Freeman facts
By facts I of course mean headcanons, because Nile's mom doesn't get a first name in canon (or even confirmation that her last name is Freeman). All we know about her is the picture on Nile's phone lock screen (which is Kiki Layne's real-life mom and brother!) and a few lines that Nile tells Andy about her. I’ve been collecting my Dorothy headcanons for a while now to eventually make a post, and @mprosperossprite‘s excellent post giving non-Americans context for what it means that Nile is from the South Side of Chicago prompted me to go ahead and share this. Disclaimer that I’m white and I will absolutely make corrections if it’s pointed out that I’ve caused harm with any of this.
So here have some fun facts about the version of Mama Freeman who lives in my head rent-free:
Her family and growing up:
she was born in the mid-'60s and named after Dorothy Dandridge
I can’t decide whether she was born in Chicago or moved there later on (maybe with Nile’s dad?) and when in the waves of the Great Migration her family left the South
she came of age in the "post"-Civil Rights movement and went to college in the mid-80s when a lot of what are now the foundational classics of Black feminism were being written
she was a young adult when Anita Hill risked so much to report that a Supreme Court nominee had sexually harassed her, and as a result she HATES Joe Biden
Marriage and babies:
she met Nile's father — I can’t decide how they met and I have two competing headcanons for his name, either Gideon for the hefty Biblical masculinity vibes (Giddy for short among family, that man loved to laugh) or Carl, which started out as a shitty Carl’s Jr burger chain joke that turns out to be perfect (it means free man!), and @knoepfchen used it in the sequel to if you do take a thief where Carl is alive!! — and Dorothy was a little skeptical of his near-religious devotion to the military but he was really hot and really devoted to her and they made it work
she's a little pissed that she was right but it's unbearable if she thinks about it too often
it's going to be a long, long time before she can look back on pictures of Baby Nile stomping around the house in her dad's combat boots (this is a Gina Prince Bythewood headcanon, whyyyyyyyy can I not find a link to where she said this)
she named their second baby Indus, Indy for short (this is nearly as established fanon in Book of Nile circles as how much Booker loves eating pussy, and Indy Freeman as a young adult is portrayed by either Aldis Hodge or John Boyega I don’t make the rules)
Work:
Dorothy did some office jobs but nothing really grabbed her, and she was probably gonna have to move for her husband's career, so she decided on teaching — high school humanities
she’s been active in CTU (one of the strongest teacher’s unions in the US) her whole career and one year she was on the bargaining committee and her babies know damn well never to trust a boss, not even one who says all the right things — if she ever finds out the way Nile said "like Quynh?" when Andy promised to protect her, she will lose her mind with pride
(Nile was 18 and freshly graduated from high school in 2012 when CTU went on strike for the first time in a generation and she brought her mom snacks on the picket line)
one of her very favorite things is getting her students to laugh despite themselves at her "oh my GOD you're so EMBARRASSING" old-people jokes
she's one of those teachers who can get 30+ teenagers to go dead silent with judicious application of body language
she's known to occasionally go easy on grading subjective things like essays when she knows students are having a particularly rough time at home, but the second she gets the feeling they're taking advantage and not trying their best that shit is over and they better mind their Ps & Qs
she's the kind of person who says old-people shit like that
she gives her students assignments like "help 5 neighbors register to vote" and "write a compare/contrast table about the candidates in this local election" and "research 5 different ways you could get grant money to do X" and other practical civic-minded shit
standardized testing is her supervillain origin story, just kidding it’s Rahm Emanuel, why the fuck did Obama trust that asshole
After her husband died:
she would have lost her goddamn mind if it weren't for her church friends after her husband died, people from the church raised money so they could make ends meet while his pension paperwork was taking forever, church friends watched Indy so Nile could go out for the soccer team, etc etc
she sold her and her late husband's house and moved to a 3-bedroom co-op unit when Nile started high school, it's more affordable and it meant she didn't have to worry about household repairs in the same way, she can use a wrench if she needs to but she doesn't have time and it just makes her grief flare up (co-op housing has a long history in Chicago and other US cities (like Washington DC where I live) as a way for Black people to access decent, affordable housing in the face of entrenched discrimination)
the move meant putting a longer commute between her and church, but she didn't even bother looking for a church closer to their new home, she loaded the kids into the car on the weekends, parking is hell in their new neighborhood but it's worth giving up a hard-won parking spot to not have to wait so long for the L on Sunday mornings
Indy lived with her through college and he was gearing up to get his own place when Nile died, Dorothy was planning to move into a one-bedroom in the co-op building because she doesn't need so much space anymore, Indy took a day off from his new job (not so new anymore, her baby's so grown!) to help her sort things to donate when those dress-uniform Marines came to their door
part of her wishes she could've been home more and not had to rely on Nile so much for help with Indy, but he's turned out such a kind young man, and he's a much better cook than his sister is (was, oh God — no wait, is! she’s alive! what do you mean you’ve been alive all this time??)
some of the girls from church are encouraging her to check out this social dancing thing, nobody's pressuring her to date but there's definitely been some ribbing, and with Indy out of the house... maybe? probably not, but maybe
Her feelings and beliefs and likes and dislikes:
she's an absolute badass and also she's a soft human woman with lots of feelings
she's very, very traditional in some ways, and part of her mixed feelings about Nile following in her dad's footsteps is gender stuff, she's proud of her daughter and would never stand in the way of what Nile wants to do with her life, and if Nile came home and told her she's a lesbian she would never reject her, but if Nile came home and told her she's bisexual maybe she can just try focusing on men? “I love you sweetheart and I want you to be happy I just know how hard it is already for us in this world” type shit
she has been on team natural hair basically her entire life and one of the worst fights she and Nile ever had was over Nile wanting to straighten her hair as a pre-teen
Indy takes more after her and Nile takes more after their dad, she's so proud of both of them, but Dorothy's activism was mostly wearing her natural hair to work and daring bosses to give her shit, Indy's out there marching in the streets like her parents had and she WORRIES
she teases Indy for going to so many protests like he's using it as an excuse to meet girls, but she WORRIES
when she turns 60, she gets box braids with streaks of dark purple, subtle enough that it's still work-appropriate but it makes her smile, she may be old now but damnit she’s still pretty!
she loves Grey's Anatomy and Star Trek and she watched Bridgerton all in one day
she has a dirty-old-lady celebrity crush on Chris Hemsworth
if she's ever masturbated thinking about Donna Summer, well, that's nobody's business but her own (do non-Americans know about the queen of disco??)
If you want to read fic featuring Dorothy:
I won't have to leave alone, 1000 words, Nile has a nightmare and decides to go tell her family she's immortal
I See Your Eyes Seek a Distant Shore, 65k, Nile adjusts to immortality and does a lot of soul searching about what it means to "do what we think is right", Booker goes to grad school for trauma studies, the working title of this fic was Booker Reads Edward Said and Gloria Anzaldúa and Goes Down on Nile and the final product has an annotated bibliography in the author's notes if you’re into that kind of thing, a lot of my Dorothy Freeman headcanons were born of my process writing this
Gather round the table, we'll give you a treat, 2279 words, college AU, Nile brings her Jewish boyfriend home for Christmas
a contribution I made to Shitty Old Guard Deaths: (Booker, USA, 2025, cause of death: a mother’s righteous wrath)

idk what anon's perspective is or whatever, but i am so tired of people who don't know jack shit about bisexuality always talking about it. That's what im assuming, it's about anyway. Yesterday on a post defending homosexuality, specifically lesbianism, from qu*** politics (non-men loving non-men) BY a bisexual girl, i saw like weird anti-bisexual sentiment bc some dumbass bi dude hopped on and was talking shit. And it was like it gave people the excuse to lowkey shit on bisexuals in general, yk, and they never once considered OP was bi, just because she said something they agreed with. "you bisexuals are the worse" lmao shut upppp
It's because bisexuals are always the first to have good deeds forgotten and also first to be blamed as a whole when an individual behaves badly.
We have no idea what it's like to be only attracted to one sex. They have no idea what it's like to be attracted to both sexes. Monosexuals then refuse point blank to even attempt to understand anything from our perspective and shove us into biphobic boxes because they are desperate to use us as boogeymen for any issue they have.
It was a widely known phenomenon in the 90s that a lot of straight women pretended to be bisexual for male attention and to feel "special." That hasn't gone away, but every single time there's a woman that fakes being a lesbian? Must be a bisexual because the bisexuals are at it again.
Bisexuals, particularly bisexual women, are so conditioned to be punching bags for other groups that we're the first to denigrate bisexuality and criticise bisexuality, and then because we're bisexual, we get spat in the face for existing. We're automatically traitors because we don't pick a side. If you even begin to think along the lines of, "Could there be monosexual privilege...?" as nothing but a thought experiment then you're automatically attacked and bisexuality is erased as a sexuality in its own right and redefined as "who you're in a relationship with."
I'm a feminist. I care about all women. I want liberation for all women. I won't stop fighting for all women. I'm also not naive and I know that straight and lesbian women do not care about us and to never expect or even hope that straight or lesbian women will try to understand us. There are wonderful exceptions and I'm particularly grateful to a lesbian woman who I've talked to in private here who knows who she is, but in general? No. I've been through the stages of grief for that and I've accepted it.
Did you know that in studies regarding smoking when it comes to straight, lesbian, gay and bisexual people, the largest cohort of smokers are bisexual, with bisexual women even more likely to smoke? I'm one of those, too.
Bisexual culture is being so stamped down by everyone that we end up internalising it, hating ourselves even more and caring less about our health to the point that we don't care if we're slowly killing ourselves if we get a few minutes of harmful destressing.
What's worse is that we don't even have each other, because female socialisation has so many bisexual women internalising even more harmful biphobia to rake themselves over the coals for some personal acceptance. Not even that, just some avoidance of outright, personal biphobic attacks and abuse. Abuse that they end up supporting to beg and say, "I'm one of the good ones and won't ever talk about bisexuality, I'll only support you, I know I'm not worthy and not important and all the other bisexuals are disgusting, I promise!"
There's not really anything that we can do at this point. It's going to take more bisexuals, particularly bisexual women, speaking up and refusing to take it anymore. But I doubt that's going to happen.
Fuck us, am I right?

The Results of the Never Have I Ever OC Game!
Thank you to everyone who played my NHIE OC Game this past weekend! ^^
I like playing these little OC Games with everyone since some “Complicated OC Questions” can get a bit serious at times.
We actually have 2 winners to announce today who have both made it past all 15 queries with 1 point to spare!
Our winners are:
@decodamalion
@bamboozled-boi
The winner(s) can choose between three prize options!
Getting a massive reblog chain going for any of their art or writing.
They get to decide this weeks questions and/or challenges including any OC Asks, Worldbuilding Asks, Complicated Questions, or Big Ticket Games.
Or they can ask for an art piece of one of their OCs done by the host of the game (that would be me :D).
Do let me know which prize y’all would prefer to take (you can take the same ones, different ones, or whichever)!
I think I’ll start adding small prize packs for games like these where they’re a bit more competition based! (As opposed to the Truth or Dare game that doesn’t really have a winner.) Let me know what y’all would like to see for prize packs! ^^
Side note: I actually based all of the queries on things I’ve done with my stories or OCs. Underneath the cut would’ve been all my answers if y’all are interested!
Never have I ever created an OP character!
His name is Gabriel and I love him! He’s just a personal character I use for myself. No connection to any other OC I’ve made.
Never have I ever created multiple OCs with the same names!
My story The Alters is all about the same characters from different dimensions meeting up so they all have the same names!
Never have I ever created an OC just to kill them!
I’m still trying to design them, but yeah I plan for them to die pretty early on.
Never have I ever created an OC based on a specific mythological creature!
Blank from Tales Told is based on the cryptid known as “The Black Eyed Children.”
Never have I ever used a name from an anime as one of my characters names!
Eris’ original name was Sakura. Not from Naruto but from another old anime I used to watch.
Never have I ever created an OC just to be another characters love interest!
Both Tracy and Stacy were meant to be the love interests of Syosuke and Sky respectively. Back before I changed their story to make them villains.
Never have I ever created twin OCs!
Stacy and Tracy, and Myra and Mira.
Never have I ever created a “demon” OC!
I mainly meant this one as the stereotypical “hot demon boy” character as kind of a foil to the whole “cat girl” thing, but yes I have. Many times.
Never have I ever designed an OC to be physically attractive to me (specifically)!
Their names are Sylvia Blanche and Zyo Shootzu (planning on changing their names tho). I wasn’t really open about my sexuality as a kid because I didn’t understand it, I just know I liked the way they both looked.
Never have I ever created a character with a complex marking/scar/tattoo etc.
Well, there’s Syosuke, there’s Creed, and there’s Viluy.
Never have I ever created an OC that has the same “quirks” as me!
His name is Ion Malice and he too knows nothing about relationships.
Never have I ever created a story based on a video game I played!
My first story was based on the game Rival Schools.
Never have I ever written in second person point of view!
Tried it out for a short horror story I wrote. It was painful.
Never have I ever created an OC/wrote a story just for the lulz!
I remember initially writing a love story about someone trying to help their newly blind friend navigate the world after a particularly horrific accident. The story was called “Blink and You’ll Miss It.” Yeah I based the story on a pun I thought of.
Never have I ever created an LGBT+ OC and never gave them a partner!
Her name is Crvena Kovac and she is my Little Red Riding Hood character, and she’s also a lesbian. I think it’d be cute to have her flirt with other girl OCs, but her main story in Tales Told is not happy. She doesn’t really get a happy ending.
