There is, of course, always a point in keeping a secret where you find yourself unable to keep it any longer. Unfortunately for Wilson and his system, they were completely unprepared for that moment, and now they have to live with the consequences. Doing so is pretty difficult when all twelve of them have different ideas of how to do so.

I just watched (part of) 9-1-1 s8 ep 10 "voices," some spoilers below but I think that this is important.

I know we all make jokes about this being the silly goofy firefighter show, but this is serious.

The portrayal that 9-1-1 has made of people with dissociative disorders/systems is not okay. There is this stereotype in media that people with DID/OSDD automatically have an alter in their system that is going go on a killing spree and murder people, which is not true in the slightest. I am, quite frankly, disgusted and disappointed in the writers and producers of 9-1-1 that they decided to perpetuate this stupid, and frankly unoriginal, 'plot device.'

My best friend is a system. They are, all of them, some of the kindest, sweetest people I have ever met. We have know each other almost all our lives. They have never, and I mean NEVER, ever in their life EVER come close to hurting anyone else physically because they "couldn't control it" or "it wasn't them."

Despite this, Hollywood continues to perpetuate these harmful stereotypes about systems. It's 20 fucking 25. I know the times are rough, but my best friend and everyone like them should be able to be open about their diagnosis without asswipes on the street asking if they're going to kill everyone around them. That's not fucking nice, and when big shows like 9-1-1 do 'storylines' (and I'm using the term loosely) like this, it actively makes life more difficult for the 1.5% of the population living with dissociative disorders.

Because of this, I've decided to stop watching 9-1-1. While I understand this may be difficult, I ask that you do as well if you care at all about people living with disabilities.

I've included a link to do more research on DID, but there are also many other available resources both online and in print if anyone (*cough cough* 9-1-1 writers and producers *cough cough*) would like to educate themselves more thoroughly on the topic than just one Tumblr post :3

AITA for blocking someone for having the same name has a source mate?

Ok at first that sounds bad but let me explain (I'll be using fake names) I, T, am I fictive and I'm working through source trauma slowly but surely. We are in a discord server with someone who has their system name set to someone from my source. The problem comes in is that that someone is someone I lost and still grieve about to this day.

When we first saw that they change their system name I immediately panicked and blocked them and they've remained blocked since. We didn't really talk to the person before this so we wouldn't even be considered friends or even acquaintances but every time we see them speak we feel bad and feel like they might notice how we don't speak to them.

Character reactions to "I need kisses!"

Bucky Barnes is immediately on you. Kissing along your shoulder, your neck until finally getting to your lips and going for a deep kiss. After which, he pulls away and, smiling, asks "feeling better?" 😘

Curtis Everett comes up behind you and holds you as he gives you a few kisses on your neck. He follows it up with nuzzling his beard over he kissed you. He doesn't let go or stop nuzzling until you tell him you're doing better. 😘

Hal Carter winks and says with a smile, "that's my specialty." He pulls you in and starts kissing your neck and lips and doesn't stop until you're laughing and trying to push him away. 😉

Jake Jensen immediately grabs you and starts kissing you all over your face making you giggle. When you're laughing too hard to keep still for kisses he pulls away and asks if you need anything else. 😘

Jonathan Pine starts with a kiss to your hand, while making full eye contact. Then he moves to your cheek, and then your lips. He kisses you with that gentle firmness that goes straight to your core. He pulls away, "is there anything else I can do for you?" 😘

Johnny Storm goes right for your lips and makes sure to caress your curves as he does so. He only pulls away when he's sure you're starting to get hot and bothered. 😏

Lee Bodecker smirks and says, "then get your sweet lips over here and let me kiss ya properly." He makes sure to smack your ass as he kisses you, grinning at your squeal. 😏

Lloyd Hansen smirks and says, "only if you take off your panties so I can kiss both sets of lips." Heat rushes to your face but you comply and he gives you a wink before kissing you all over. 😉

Nick Fowler holds your face in both hands and licks his lips before giving you another of those firm kisses that make you weak. He pulls away for only a moment before giving you a gentle kiss. He caresses your cheek and winks, "care for more?" 😉

Ransom Drysdale gives you a kiss on the cheek and goes back to what he was doing. When you pout he gives you a small smile, "I suppose you did use the plural form." He plants a kiss on your other cheek and gives you a soft smile. 😘

Sam Wilson starts kissing you all over your face. You start giggling and he ends up pulling you into the couch with him, his lips never leaving you for long. It quickly escalates to a full make out session, more if you want it to. 😏

Steve Rogers gives you a loving look and starts gently kissing your lips. After a few light kisses, he gradually starts increasing the intensity, not stopping until you're out of breath. 😘
