Pick your poison of who’s worst Taika Waititi or Mindy Kaling?

I feel it's not a question I can answer fairly, because despite I am a fan of the two ruined franchises, I don't have the same amount of knowledge for both cases.

Taika Waititi is my nemesis since Ragnarok, and back in the day he took over the Thor franchise I was deep in the fandom. I know of his crimes with a considerable amount of detail. Not only I can point out why his Thor movies suck, i also know about the behind the scenes and his awfull commentaries during the promotion of his Thor films, to list a few things.

However, my consumption of the Velma show was through the angry reactions. As soon as I found out it was garbage, what happened pretty fast, I refused to watch it. I know everything wrong with that show because the backlash it got was massive and impossible to avoid, for obvious reasons. This means I don't have much idea of what happened during the production or promotion of the show. I only know it sucks and why it sucks, but can't make precise judgements about the people involved. Not at least with the amount of precision I would have when judging Waititi.

One thing can be said, and is that at least he tricked me into buying the movie ticket for Ragnarok before finding out his movie was crap. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because before watching the movie I couldn't possibly know for sure it was going to be terrible.

The Velma show was crap, but the general audiences didn't fall for it. Ragnarok was crap the masses consumed happily and begging for more. Then, when their wish was granted, the crappy sequel received crushing hate for the very same reasons that made the previous crap popular.

The fall from grace of Waititi as a Thor director kinda reminds me of one really old text of social psicology I read about the whimsical behavior of crowds.

Back to the point, I think my answer is: Kaling probably caused more harm to Scooby Doo than Waititi did to Thor, but i think I still hate him more because he got away for too long with the damage he inflicted on the franchise.

Ghost:

The duality of playing both Dead Space and Animal Crossing.

Anything horror, a good shooter from time to time but he's realistically more about getting his blood going through tension, dark corridors, and good scares.

But will also make Animal Crossing characters of him and you so you can have a little house.

Gaz:

The embodiment of shooters, or story incorporated games like Destiny 2 and Halo.

Loves immersive large worlds that are tailored to his DnD heart. Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate are ones dear to his heart Also loves the online features.

Will play Mario Kart against Soap for hours.

Soap:

Similar to Gaz, he enjoys a blend of shooters and fantasy incorporated stories. Although Elden Ring frustrated him more than anything.

God of War Ragnarok, Diablo IV and the likes. Plays his fair share of Grand Theft Auto. Burnout Revenge and other driving games.

Plays hardcore shooters and Fortnite with his sisters back home.

Price:

Tetris. No, not because I think this 37 year old is extremely old, but because Price understands that Tetris was and still is the foundation of everything good videogames are.

Also of the opinion that he played 2007s BioShock, Diablo II, and Wii sports. Oh, also Red Dead Redemption.

Alex:

Right off the bat, he was a Mario Kart kid, was raised on the LoZ (Legend of Zelda) games, and they all hold places in his heart. Also had a Wii and early version Xbox. Played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Indulged in Grand Theft Auto at one time but never stole anything. He just slapped people and drove cars at ridiculous speeds for hours. Which leads me to my next point, racing games. TDU2 is one near and dear to his heart.

Farah:

If Farah were to play any game I think she'd enjoy a combination of puzzle games and action. She's as much a fan of online chess as she is of Skyrim.

Since getting into Skyrim she has tried other games like Fallout, but some of the themes have made her less open to playing.

Plays the HTTYD 2 game from 2010 and she enjoys it. She likes flying around and exploring, it's calming.

She joins Animal Crossing and Ghost makes a new island so they can cause absolute chaos together, and they both love it and bond over it.

König:

I'm so serious when I say this. Angry Birds Epic. Also played Far Cry when it came out. A lot of the games he played came from Germany based companies. (I know he doesn't live in Germany before y'all bite me)

He also played Battle Isle 2200 and Panzer General from 1994. Lots of older tactics games like that.

Sanji!Reader x ROR based on the scene where he makes a feast out of the leftovers. They do so for the humans and gods scolding them for wasting food and making something using whats left

-You couldn’t help but beam brightly, seeing the massive feast that everyone was enjoying. Ragnarok had been called off, as too many of the gods had been called out for their crap, and they agreed to do better, and they were surprised when humanity agreed to help where they were able to.

-So, to celebrate, a massive banquet and feast was arranged, and Brunnhilde knew exactly who to go to for the preparation of such a feast, something you were beaming with pride to do so.

-However, as you looked around the room, seeing all the leftover food, as most had finished eating, your temper was slowly rising and rising until, “Oi you bastards!! Don’t waste food!!”

-Your outburst was quite surprising, as everyone turned, seeing your eyes were bright red in fury, flames of anger surrounding you as you were looking at the remnants of the feast, all the food that would be wasted.

-Instantly, right then and there, you pulled out a kitchen knife and started chopping and gathering what was left on the table.

-Brunnhilde knew that you were a pro in the kitchen, but to see you actually working was breathtaking as you used all the leftovers to created two more dishes that both looked mouthwatering.

-When you finished you stabbed your knife into the table, turning to them with a sharp glare in your eyes as you pulled out a cigarette, lighting it, “Don’t waste food!”

-Your intensity in your statement quickly had many of them digging into these new dishes, elation on their faces as compliments started pouring in on how tasty it was.

-A few asked Brunnhilde why you were so against wasting food, as you had walked out onto a nearby balcony to smoke and cool your head.

-She could only smile softly, as attention went to her, “Y/N never wants to see anything wasted, as they were forced to deal with near starvation when they were only a child.”

-Eyes went wide, hearing how you had suffered when you were only a child, many of the gods glanced at each other, more guilty bubbling in their stomachs- nobody, especially a child, should ever have to deal with something like that.

-You were in a much better mood when you walked back in, finding all the dishes completely empty, beaming brightly at them. You were such an odd human.

The Gods' myths sometimes include horrific or immoral aspects. That doesn't mean we should behave as if those myths dont exist!

(A Pagan perspective)

When we are faced with myths that no longer fit in modern moral views (such as so much SA in Greek mythology alone there's a whole Wikipedia page on it) we should not shy away! Even if we don't like or approve of it, it's a part of the Gods' history and mythos.

All mythology is written by humans, and as such is unavoidably a product of its time. The way that anyone (including modern pagans) interprets the Gods as entities, or any interaction with them, is limited within our own culture, time period, and personal beliefs. By examining both the beliefs of the present and the past, we can decide for ourselves how we see the Gods while considering the context their myths were written in.

Even within one time period or similar group of people, such as modern pagans today, interpretations of the Gods can vary widely.

Zues is a cheating rapist. He is also a powerful god of the skies, lightning, and order.

Lucifer is literally the devil. An evil liar full of sins. And yet he is enlightening, independent, and honest.

Freyja is constantly associated (some say reduced) to sex. She uses her body for her gain, and is quite canonically called a slut. At the same time, she's the goddess of women! Of female power, both in mental skill and physical strength. She leads the Valkyries.

Loki is dark and deceptive, bringer of Ragnarok-- and he's a deity of change and freedom.

And neither is wrong. In mythology, both are true.

The Gods, all their aspects, and all the texts we have of them are complicated, complex, multifaceted, and interpretive- of course, there will be various understandings within pagan practices. No one view is superior to the other. Our understandings all exist on a scale, or rather some sort of mashup, of how important and what importance we attribute to various myths and aspects of deities.

When I worshipped Hera, I did so in two 'versions'. 1. Hera as resistance against men and abuse. I found solace and connection with her in powerful womanhood and female rage. I prayed to her before attending a pro-choice rally. And 2. Hera as a symbol of deep love, power, and marriage, and commitment. I lit her candle when my partner was over or when I needed a confidence boost.

These aspects never felt conflicting to me. Separate, maybe (I certainly wasn't thinking of any cheating or abuse in mythology as overlapping with the love and commitment)- but just part of one THING. Of Hera and everything surrounding her.

To many other deities of various 'immoral' aspects, these conflicting elements aren't just both present but often integral to their presence and worship.

Lucifer is often worshipped in rebellion. In healing from oppressive Christianity and finding light and understanding in that darkness.

Freyja is sexual! One of her many aspects. (which by the way, should not be seen as immoral. looking at yall, bs tumblr feminists) There is pleasure, joy, and power to be found in reclaiming that part of women we are told is shameful.

Loki is so much at once. He is outcast and destructive, and within that he spurs necessary change and chaos. So many pagans look to her as a symbol of queerness in the broadest sense and in facing the necessary chaos of growth.

TLDR: Don't just ignore aspects of mythology that feel uncomfortable (obviously unless something like trauma is involved). There is a lot to learn both from understanding the time and context their myths were written in as well as self-reflection on how certain myths or aspects of deities fit (or don't fit) within your practice.

「 ✦ Round 1: Thor, Lü Bu, Randgriz ✦ 」 Resident Evil 4

જ⁀➴ Lü Bu and Thor were dead silent the moment they started playing, it was almost eerie how silent they were for the first hour. They were so focused…nothing could break them out of that trance.

જ⁀➴ Randgriz had made a small joke about they were reading each others minds and they shared a glance. Whatever that means! Randgriz just decided to just smile and continue watching the game.

જ⁀➴ The moment the Bitores Mendez boss battle started, it was only within seconds. Having the flying general and god of thunder working together in a horror game that involved fighting— yeah, nothing was surviving.

જ⁀➴ The two basically did a no hit run without even trying!

જ⁀➴ Randgriz watched the whole time. She picked up the controller once and almost immediately died, so instead she’s watching the other two play. Despite that, she handles horror pretty well! Nothing scared her too badly, aside from the first Regenerator.

「 ✦ Round 2: Zeus, Adam, Reginleif ✦ 」 Little Nightmares 2

જ⁀➴ Zeus didn’t have much to say about the game, and instead he just watched the other two do everything. Less work for him, the better…and the reason he wouldn’t admit, that being the controls frustrated him and he almost broke a controller earlier.

જ⁀➴ Meanwhile Reginleif is over analyzing every single detail. Looking into details of games and books? She’s a pro!

જ⁀➴ Adam liked Mono a lot, and thought the locations were interesting. He wasn’t too fond of the teacher though, watching as her neck stretched to try and catch Mono in the school.

જ⁀➴ Both Reginleif and Adam disliked the hospital by a lot. Why is the doctor on the ceiling? Why is he experimenting on people who are already getting distorted by the TV signals? And why are the patients acting like weeping angels— just why.

જ⁀➴ Eve walked in on the two at the wrong time, seeing Six drop Mono into the abyss as an act of betrayal. She didn’t understand what was happening, but Adam quickly got up to comfort her and had Reginleif finish the game while he consoled his wife.

「 ✦ Round 3: Poseidon, Kojiro Sasaki, Hrist ✦ 」 Phasmophobia

જ⁀➴ These three get absolutely nothing done, they’re absolute clowns in the sense Kojiro is just there for a good time, Hrist’s anger side just enjoys messing with the other two, and Poseidon gave up the moment he was handed a controller.

જ⁀➴ Poseidon is the king of dying in the dumbest positions, it’s actually amazing how many times it happens. He hates it, but Kojiro always takes a picture of it.

જ⁀➴ They almost completed one hunt, but got it wrong after Poseidon checked the wrong kind of ghost. Safe to say, he was beyond furious when it happened. Hrist and Kojiro were quick to reassure him though.

જ⁀➴ Kojiro takes every single important item and ends up dying with it on his person, and Hrist always has to rebuy everything.

જ⁀➴ Poseidon hates every second of the hunts, he isn’t amused by anything so anytime the ghost tries to mess with the team he completely ignores it— and gets killed almost every time. The other two are staring to think he does it on purpose to avoid playing.

「 ✦ Round 4: Heracles, Jack The Ripper, Hlökk ✦ 」 Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location

જ⁀➴ Hlökk liked the characters designs! They were cute and pink…and then minus the cute part the moment Funtime Freddy’s face opened up. No longer cute, because what the fu-

જ⁀➴ Jack and Heracles got through the main story mode pretty easily, they did struggle in night four though with the spring locks. It took them a few times, but they eventually got it.

જ⁀➴ Then they began playing the custom modes at max difficulty, and everything immediately went to hell because there’s now story in the cutscenes?! All of them are determined to get those endings now, even if it means taking hours on a single mode.

જ⁀➴ They also got the secret ending by escaping going into the scooper room, but the moment Ennard entered the house Hlökk just stared. Jack had to refrain from laughing, and poor Heracles was equally as confused.

જ⁀➴ Managed to complete all the max modes! The three of them were so relieved when it was over, and they don’t exactly want to play that one again. The others? For the lore!

「 ✦ Round 5: Shiva, Raiden Tameemon, Thrud ✦ 」 Slender: The Eight Pages

જ⁀➴ Everything went well at first, which is…not surprising. It was tame, and things seemed to be okay. At least that was until they found the first page.

જ⁀➴ The moment Slenderman started showing up, immediately all three of them are challenging him. Shiva with his lust for a fight, he was ready to throw hands the moment he showed his face.

જ⁀➴ Raiden was doing well, at least until they got jump scared the first time and he screamed. It actually startled Shiva by how loud it was, and Thrud was just trying to calm Raiden down.

જ⁀➴ They got close a few times to getting all eight pages, but they finally manage to do it after an hour or two. It was difficult, but they did it.

જ⁀➴ After they completed the game, they weren’t entirely sure what else to do…so they just play again to see if they can do something different, or just see how much they can fuck around while playing. Raiden and Shiva are ready to throw hands with the fictional monster, and Thrud is just trying to survive.

「 ✦ Round 6: Zerofuku, Buddha ✦ 」 Poppy Playtime

જ⁀➴ Zerofuku chose the game, thinking it would be tame enough for him to handle. He was ready, he was totally prepared— and then Huggy Wuggy disappeared from the stage and he was clinging onto Buddha.

જ⁀➴ Buddha was pretty relaxed, due to his abilities he was able to predict how the game would go and told Zero to look away whenever he thought the other would get too scared.

જ⁀➴ Zero isn’t too much of a fan of Poppy. Creepy possessed dolls? No thanks! He didn’t like that one bit. Even Buddha didn’t like her, and he was just trying every second to skip the scene with her talking to carry on.

જ⁀➴ The moment Mommy Long Legs showed up they both just noped out of the game and put it down. They were both done with it, not because Buddha or Zerofuku hates spiders, but they were both just so done at that point.

જ⁀➴ Zerofuku loves Candy Cat though, and Buddha found him a small keychain of the blue cat. He would’ve gone bigger, but considering the things he learned about the game and the whole NFT thing, he’ll just get the keychain.

「 ✦ Round 7: Hades, Qin Shi Huang, Alvitr ✦ 」 Telltale: The Walking Dead

જ⁀➴ These three are immediately invested. Interesting opening cutscene, and the protagonist seems fun enough. Alvitr loves Lee and Clementine, she’d do anything for those two.

જ⁀➴ Qin Shi Huang and Hades are able to make quick decisions thankfully, but there are some points where they actually have to think because they both choose a different option. It’s a hard debate, but they do pretty well.

જ⁀➴ Alvitr is getting attached to all the characters, though she sometimes gets a bit too passionate. Whenever there’s a character death in a choice she tries to avoid it as much as she can, but then has to accept the inevitable.

જ⁀➴ Qin also gets attached to Lee and Clementine, and is absolutely devastated when Lee gets bit and dies. He saw their bond as something him and Chun Yan had before she also passed on when he was twelve. He had to take a small break before they started the next game.

જ⁀➴ Hades was pretty okay during all of it, but he fell completely silent when the more sad moments in the game happened. He was okay on the surface, but it still hurt after getting attached to the characters.

「 ✦ Round 8: Beelzebub, Nikola Tesla, Göndul ✦ 」 Mortuary Assistant

જ⁀➴ These three actually get the main objective complete, though it takes them a while to get there. Beelzebub is already going over the ways to get rid of the demons, meanwhile Göndul and Tesla are paying attention to every little detail.

જ⁀➴ Tesla gets scared twice, whether it’s the first jump scare or the demon straight up on the wall next to him. He isn’t a loud screamer, instead he just huffs and continues on like nothing happened.

જ⁀➴ The moment they have to cremate the demon, Tesla just utters the words “that’s unfortunate” before the player character is blasted into the wall behind them. Göndul tries her best to not laugh as hard as possible, and Beelzebub just gives a shake of his head.

જ⁀➴ These three manage to get all the endings, though they actually struggle to get the bad endings because they just want to do everything correct.

જ⁀➴ Honestly it’s a bit of a relaxed gaming session, they work together to finish the game and they all seem to like the puzzle linked to it. Though Beelzebub always correct the ways the demons should be revealing themselves to a mortal, but it doesn’t last long after he gets every so slightly startled when he turns in game, and the demon is just right behind him.

「 ✦ Round 9: Apollo, King Leonidas, Geirölul ✦ 」 Resident Evil Village

જ⁀➴ Leonidas and Geirölul are immediately just powering through everything, they aren’t wasting anytime whatsoever. Get all the good weapons, and get moving. Apollo is quietly watching the other two for the first few minutes, as well as admiring all the details in the locations.

જ⁀➴ They all just share a look the moment they see Lady Dimitrescu, just for a minute before immediately getting back into the game.

જ⁀➴ The moment all three of them got to House Beneviento, all hell seemed to break loose. Leonidas just proceeded to charge in, and then went dead silent the moment he picked up the flask and all his weapons were taken. It just got worse. How could it get worse!

જ⁀➴ The encounter with Mother Miranda right after Heisenberg was WILD. Even Apollo was getting into it right as that happened, all three of them were so hyped up on adrenaline it was insane. There was no rest, they were completing the rest of the game in that sitting.

જ⁀➴ Once the game was over they weren’t done just yet, no, they wanted to play the rest of the series. All three of them were excited to continue, and Apollo just liked watching the other two play. Also because he didn’t want to ruin his nails, he just did them!

Is it true there are gods who's team pro humanity

YES! in canon (from what i remember) so far it's just buddha tho who 10000% cares for humanity

BUT there are some gods who are hinted to not hate humans as much. while i wouldn't exactly call them pro humans, these gods are either just indifferent to them or they don't completely hate/look down on them:

susanoo, who had some humans help forge his sword. if he truly hated humans the same way the other gods do, he never would've allow a human to make his weapon. he also has a great deal of respect towards the human swordsman of ancient japan

hades??? he only joined ragnarok to avenge poseidon, not because he hated humans. so far i haven't seen him go on any "anti-human" spiel in the manga, so i think he just doesn't care for them

AND as ragnarok went on, some gods eventually did grow to respect humans. zeus respected adam, thor respected lu bu (and in the latest chapter, we see that he holds respect for the other fallen fighters too), shiva started to ease up on them after his fight with raiden, beelzebub with tesla, etc...

ofc it's kinda varying. i don't really see these gods going "humans deserve rights!" and "we should help all humans!! 🥰" but baby steps!!!

"Thor: Ragnarok" is a Marvel superhero film where Chris Hemsworth plays Thor, who after losing his powers ends up on the planet Sakaar and is forced to fight the Hulk in an arena. They must escape and stop Hela, the goddess of death, who plans to destroy Asgard. Pros: Incredible visual effects, Exciting and dynamic plot, Lots of humor, Excellent performance by Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, Introduction to the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Cons: Some characters like Hela and Valkyrie are not very well written, Some plot twists are predictable. Overall, this is a visually impressive, dynamic and fun film with an interesting plot and charismatic characters.
