There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.

Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.

and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

US-Dollar gaben die NATO-Staaten mehr als die Hälfte aller Militärausgaben aus - und mehr als das Zwölffache des russischen Militäretats. Die deutschen Militärausgaben beliefen sich auf rund 67 Mrd. US-Dollar, immerhin neun Prozent mehr als 2022. Seit 2014 sind die deutschen Militärausgaben um 48 Prozent gestiegen.

Angesichts der Tatsache, dass die westlichen Staaten und ihre Verbündeten - ein Siebtel der Weltbevölkerung - für rund zwei Drittel der globalen Militärausgaben verantwortlich sind, stellt sich natürlich die Frage, gegen wen eigentlich immer weiter aufgerüstet werden soll. Wessen Interessen dient dieser Rüstungswahnsinn? Eigene geopolitische Interessen spielen jedenfalls eine herausragende Rolle, gigantische Profite der Rüstungsindustrie eine weitere.

Ich finde es gelinde gesagt unerträglich, welcher kriegerische Zeitgeist inzwischen auch in Deutschland Einzug gehalten hat. Wie schon so oft in der deutschen Geschichte sollen heute mehr denn je die Uniform, das Prinzip von Befehl und Gehorsam, die Ausbildung zum Töten, die Wehrertüchtigung und der Weg in die verordnete Unmenschlichkeit … zum Leitbild erhoben werden, stellt der Friedensforscher und Verleger Helmut Donat treffend fest.

Statt die Bemühungen um Entspannung mit Russland in den Vordergrund zu stellen, wird der Krieg für nahezu unvermeidlich erklärt und dementsprechend seine Vorbereitung als einzig sinnvolles Handeln dargestellt. Man setzt auf militärische Stärke statt auf Diplomatie, auf Eskalation statt auf Deeskalation und zivile Konfliktbearbeitung.

Schwer erträglich sind für mich die drastischen Bilder von zerstörten Soldatengesichtern in Ernst Friedrichs Buch „Krieg dem Kriege“ (1924).

Kriegsdienstverweigerung ist ein wichtiger Baustein zur Überwindung von Krieg, Tod und Zerstörung. Seit 1982 wird jedes Jahr am 15. Mai der Internationale Tag der Kriegsdienstverweigerung begangen - ein Tag, an dem all jene geehrt werden, die sich dem Krieg widersetzt haben und widersetzen, indem sie sich weigern, sich in militärische Strukturen einbinden zu lassen.

Gerade in Kriegszeiten wird das Recht auf Kriegsdienstverweigerung von den Herrschenden in Frage gestellt. Die Entscheidung der Verweigerer, sich nicht an den Verbrechen eines Krieges zu beteiligen, wird zu einem Schritt, der höchsten Mut erfordert.

Kriegsdienstverweigerung ist kein Verbrechen, sondern ein Menschenrecht.

Hier und heute sollten wir jeder Militarisierung entgegentreten, Kriegsdienstverweigerer und Deserteure aller Kriegsparteien unterstützen und dafür sorgen, dass sie in unserem Land Schutz und eine Perspektive finden. Krieg ist ein Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit. Ihn nicht zu schüren, sondern zu sabotieren, das halte ich für richtig!

In Gaza, journalists are passing out from exhaustion and famine. Despite the ICJ ruling, the US and Australia are intentionally defunding UNWRA based on baseless claims by Israel that members of the aid group are Hamas-sympathizers. Netanyahu, of course, has ignored the ICJ ruling. Israel has banned insulin pens from arriving in Gaza, a particularly cruel and inhumane crime to add to their laundry list of offences. Nothing has changed, and things are getting worse.

It is not that hard to not buy things. To not watch things. Perhaps it is inconvenient, and makes you go out of your way, and costs a little more to buy alternatives. But if you were to attend a funeral a day for every child that has died in Gaza so far, it would take you over 27 years. When the worst that will happen to you is that you don't watch a TV show featuring a zionist, you don't buy a specific brand that donates to and supports zionism, how could that possibly compare to the plight of Palestinians who must amputate limbs without anesthesia?

Pangoline sind das meist gehandelte Tier auf dem Planeten! Bis zu 2,7 Millionen dieser kleinen Tiere werden jedes Jahr von Wilderern ermordet, die hoffen, davon zu profitieren, sie zu schlachten und ihre Teile an traditionelle Medizingeschäfte zu verkaufen.

Ein neuer Bericht bestätigt, dass Facebook es noch schlimmer macht und Menschenhändler Schuppentierteile direkt auf ihrer Plattform verkaufen lässt! Aber es ist egal, um welches Tier es sich handelt, ein Messenger ist darf nicht das Mittel sein, um illegale Geschäfte zu machen.
