Broken Generator - 1
Tumblr media
Today I received a broken generator, to experiment with. I intend to take it apart, and if I can, fix it. I’ve never done something like this before, so I’m super excited to see what I can learn.
Here’s what I know about it:
The fuel tank is not connected.
The carburetor may need to be cleaned, according to the person who gave it to me.
It has been outside, exposed to the elements for a long time.
It seems to be the 73536i model.
She gave me a copper spark plug, a carburetor, and something that looks similar to a cabin air filter for an automobile.
There’s two loose rubbery pieces that look like gaskets. One seems to match the carburetor:

The other I’m not sure:

Here’s the fuel tank:

And here's the part that reminds me of an air cabin filter for an automobile. I’m not sure what this is.

Here's the owners manual for the model I believe this to be: https://www.championpowerequipment.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/73536i-om-english.pdf

Okay, after some thought
Here's what I've come up with for the Minecraft nesting dolls.
I have 4 themes. Each theme consists of 5 layers, 4(ish) mobs that are nested into a non-mob block. Those non-mob blocks are up for debate, and please, if you have a better idea (Especially for the End set) please leave suggestions in the notes! I would love the input!
So here's the themes:
OVERWORLD: the outermost layer is the classic grass block, followed by a cow, a sheep, a pig, and a chicken.
CAVES: the outermost layer is a diamond ore block (after some debating with myself, stone and deepslate were considered). The mobs are creeper, witch, skeleton, zombie. I liked having the zombie be the smallest one because baby zombies are the worst.
NETHER: I considered netherrack for the outermost layer, and a shroomlight, my spouse suggested soulsand, but I went with an actual nether portal, so you open the portal to the nether mobs. The mobs are a ghast, a strider, a piglin, and a wither skeleton.
END: This one's outermost layer is still up for debate. I feel like endstone is boring. Maybe a chorus flower? End portal, like the nether? Idk if I could make it read right with plastic canvas, but the dragon egg may be cool.... Anyways, the mobs are the End Dragon (another tricky read, how to flatten it onto a single cube?), an enderman, the shell of a shulker, which opens to reveal the little shulker guy itself. All in all, the least stable theme.

So what is this?
Cosmica is an old project. Though I've been working on it for 4-ish years now, there is not a lot of concrete information. And that's mostly because I've been unable to commit to much.
but the basics are that it's very much inspired by the cosmere, dune, and star wars.
There is a network of stone gateways that allow people to travel to other planets in the solar system. There is magic, I think. There is a class system, a figurehead ruler, and a corrupt wealthy class oppressing the rest of the population. And there's a guy named Sitar who is destined to stop the world from ending

Perfunctory : Performs actions in a mechanical, uninspired manner. Self-Doubt : Consistently questions personal abilities and decisions. Arbitraryness : Makes decisions based on whim rather than reason or evidence. Rigidity : Is inflexible and unwilling to consider alternative viewpoints. Gullibility : Trusts too easily, often leading to being misled or deceived. Obsession : Becomes excessively fixated on particular ideas or details. Aloofness : Maintains emotional distance, appearing detached or indifferent. Intolerance : Refuses to accept differing perspectives or lifestyles.
Writing Advice for Brainstorming
Mix genres and time periods: Experiment by combining elements from different eras or genres to create unique settings and narratives.
Use "what if" scenarios: Pose unexpected questions (e.g., What if time travel operated on emotions rather than mechanics?) to spark novel ideas.
Draw from diverse mediums: Engage with art, music, or even scientific papers to inspire unexpected plot twists.
Embrace absurdity: Let illogical or surreal ideas guide you; sometimes the wildest thoughts lead to compelling stories.
Reverse clichés: Identify common tropes in your favorite genres and deliberately invert them to create fresh perspectives.
Incorporate personal anomalies: Transform your idiosyncrasies and personal struggles into rich, multi-dimensional characters.
Use mind-mapping: Visually plot your ideas in a freeform way to uncover hidden connections between disparate elements.

INTRO! INTRO!
Mainblog (RGG theming btw) - Hereeee
Currently reading/watching - start of Part 7
Favourite Part - Part 4!
Just an autistic queer trans dude with an unhealthy obsession for JJBA. I'm currently working on a light novel for my JJBA OC, Kit Caddel.
I became a fan of this when I was 9 (no, I am not ok), and have been hyperfixated on it ever since.
OC ramblings and details under cut
My main Jojo OC is Kit Caddel with her (recently named) stand, Reckless Battery Burns (song name). She appears in parts 3-6, and I'll happily explain any pieces of lore and confusion people want to know :D
Jsyk, her Part 3 design will not be shown due to massive connotations of her being similar to 12 year old me. I personally don't feel comfortable sharing a design, and that personality ver of the character in case people ever sexualise her (some JJBA fans are odd).
We have two other main OCs called "Dave" and "Xander" - both are stand users
Then you have Kit's entire family that will be shown and explained in the LN
Other generic stand users that are featured in fights will also be created by me

sober sub x intoxicated dom. the sub knowing their dom has a hard time letting loose, how their dom is typically so in control of themselves. coaxing their dom to take hit after hit, shot after shot, watching the dom get needier by the second.
the dom being so intoxicated that they just can’t keep their hands off their pretty pet. absolutely losing control, their head swimming with the need to fuck their sub numb. the dom can’t keep their hands to themselves, their sub just looks so gorgeous in this haze. touching, groping, biting everywhere, their mind only able to focus on one thing.

Broken Generator - 2
Today I removed a lot of the plastic casing to get closer to the generator. They were falling apart, and wouldn't provide much protection anyway. I left the front panel with the controls, since:
They give me clues as to what the other parts in the generator are, by seeing where the buttons are connected.
It gives me a way to name the sides of the generator: front, left, right, and back -- as well as identify what I'm seeing if I research other people messing with this same generator.
It makes it easy to identify the generator. This is how I figured out what model it is. (73536i).
I may want to interface with those buttons later.
Removing the casing gave me only a bit of trouble. On the bottom of the back panel, there were two bolts connecting it to the bottom panel. I was able to remove one easily. The other one turned, but it never came out. I examined the bolt that did come out. I counted seven times around the threading. I definitely turned the other bolt more than seven times around. I figured it must be completely detached from the threading inside the hole, but held in by something, so I just snapped the panel off above the bolt.
Tumblr media
Once I had removed the panels, I pulled the choke to see what moved inside. This let me identify the carburetor. It looks similar to the carburetor my friend gave me, but it is definitely not a match.
Tumblr media
There is a brown tube coming out from the carburetor on the engine. It went below a black box connected to the carburetor, that I imagine must house some kind of air intake, based on where it's connected to the carburetor. It came out easily with a tug, and the end of the tube doesn't seem to be broken. I'm guessing it's for fuel intake to the carburetor.
The plastic casing had a panel with some warnings, which I thought it best to preserve for future reference.

I had an idea for a project, but it's incredibly niche, I don't think that anyone would want it, except maybe me.
It would be one or more sets of Minecraft themed Russian Nesting Dolls made of plastic canvas. They'd be cubic, obviously. We could even do themed sets, like Overworld and Nether, Friendly and Hostile mobs, Block Families, etc. We could have polls to determine what each layer is, or which layer ends up what.
Would anyone like to do that? Could just be an engagement thing, or someone might want to have the finished product, idk yet. Maybe I can create a pattern for it and share it here.
Please share for wider results!
