no real cheese will ever live up to the phantom taste i imagined the cartoon cheese from tom and jerry cartoons i watched as a kid tasted like.
this is the pinnacle of the cheese-based foodgroups. i think it was less the visual appeal (almost none, it looks like a dried sponge half the time) and more the fervent desperation with which the mouse pursued it. the permeating lust for this cheese.
the fanatical daydreaming was so evocative that my brain and tongue made up a flavour that will never exist and i am doomed to spend my life unfulfilled

A Baby Witch's First Spellbook
Honey Cake Offering For Apollo
You'll Need:
1 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2Tsp Baking Soda
2Tbs Honey
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Butter (softened)
Cream Cheese Icing
Caramel Sauce
Berries (Optional)
Steps:
In a medium bowl mix your eggs and sugar.
Add your honey and baking soda to a small saucepan.
Heat for 1-2 minutes over medium heat stirring often.
- Stir in a sigil for an extra bonus
Remove from heat.
Mix the butter into the honey mixture until smooth.
Add the honey mixture to your eggs and sugar mixture and mix well.
Slowly mix in your flour.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
Knead your dough on a flowered surface and split it in half.
Roll out the dough into thin sheets.
Cut out roughly 3, 3 Inch circles per cake.
Lightly fork the 3 inch circles.
Bake at 350°F for 5-6 minutes.
Allow cakes to cook on a wire rack.
Add your cream cheese icing into an icing bag.
Pipe dollops of cream cheese icing in a target pattern on 2/3rds of your cakes.
Fill the middle of the cakes with caramel sauce.
Double layer the cakes.
On the remaining empty cakes top them with dollops of cream cheese icing.
Add one cake to each cake stack.
(Optional) Top with berries associated with Apollo.
