Saw something about Hua Cheng always being able to sense his ashes so he can always sense Xie Lian and I just think it adds a hilarious take to him giving Xie Lian his ashes. Like yes it’s a beautiful and romantic ghostly tradition but there is something so funny about him given them to him the moment he has to leave so he doesn’t lose him again after 800 years of searching like someone tagging a bird to track their migration habits. He is not taking no fucking chances.

It's so funny to me when people said that Damian is the only BatFamily member that Bruce didn't choose/want/was forced into caring as if we didn't watch that boy tried to leave on multiple occasions only for Bruce/the other BatFamily chasing him down and dragging him back kicking and screaming

Not to randomly talk about Apothecary Diaries, but almost every time Mao Mao talks about Jinshi she uses the most romantic and poetic terms possible but says them with the banal factuality of a nature documentary narrator, and it is absolutely sending me. Like:

Mao Mao, completely deadpan: He is such a heavenly beauty, people would start wars over him.

Mao Mao, legitimately concerned: I best not put makeup on him. If he were made any more beautiful it would topple nations

Mao Mao, watching girls fawn over Jinshi: This makes sense, he has such otherworldly beauty that he would be irresistible to any woman or man

Mao Mao, as if taking a scientific observation: Something must be amiss with Master Jinshi, usually he glitters like the sun

Pit Babe 2 Colors - Ep. 2

I'm watching the second season of Pit Babe on mute with no subtitles and double-speed, but that doesn't mean I don't have Wild Ass Theories for days, so I had to narrow down 72 images, and I'm squishing 41 images into a 30 image post because episode two was delicious, and not just because of this moment.

No! It was delicious because of Orange Oddity William (who veers so close to red) with the Psi symbol on his helmet. The symbol, which resembles a pitchfork, is associated with the devil, but it's also associated with the psyche, as in the mind.

And as much as I don't think he is this season's biggest threat, I do find it interesting where the red does show up in this episode — the head.

When Jeffrey had a vision of Barbie getting in a crash, blue and red streaks appeared from his head, where his visions comes from. We know the blue is good, but why the red? Also, Barbie, who is a Black Brooder is wearing white, so although an accident occurs on the field next episode, and Barbie is in the hospital, I'm not too sure that accident is the one Jeffrey sees here.

But also, Vegas's Hedgehog and Southwest Airlines also had red "BEST" on their heads, yet Southwest Airlines was the only one to split into two with it.

Once again, I don't think William is the big baddie, but I do think he has a power, and I do think his power has something to do with controlling others' powers either by destabilizing them or amplifying them, as if he can get into their mind.

When he spoke to Barbie, two things happened: 1) Barbie became isolated with William as the bars enclosed them, yet William was facing out and Barbie was facing in, then 1) Barbie split due to the background of the bar cutting into him at a diagonal. This bar is fascinating because look at the background at the diagonal. It doesn't match.

It's like William knows how to get into Barbie's mind to fuck him up, possibly because he was trained to use his power just like all the little other very special boys . . .

And the thing is, I think he is doing a fine job of it because when Barbie was speaking to him, the way the shot was filmed made it seem like Barbie was talking to himself. As if no one else was there with him in that bar, even though William was standing right next to him.

And once Barbie got home, Blue Boy Charles, in his light white and blue lighting, was waiting for him. In the dark.

Yet the shot made Barbie appear to be talking to himself. Again. In his own little cage.

These two are clearly in love. The 🎶Blinding Light of Love🎶 tells me so.

But if William is really trying to play mind games with Barbie, then there is no better way than to cause a wedge between the two love birds.

Because Barbie isn't the only one who is being isolated from the group. Charles wakes up the next day, in gray, and boxed in. He is becoming darker and more . . . paranoid? Although the group started strong in blue just one whole episode ago, William is already coming between them because he quickly realized during that race that the way to win against a team who keeps tightly together on the race track so no one can pass them is to get in between them and split them up.

So even though they are going down the rainbow tunnel of queer love

They still did it while wearing helmets with red on them.

So Charles and Barbie end the show eating breakfast together and making plans for the future, yet Barbie is somehow the darkest he has been, even without clothes on, and Charles is becoming blurry.

So maybe William, with his red interior, really is the biggest threat this season to the boys, but I'm going to believe his yellow car and red interior just makes orange, and if anything, Barbie has the blue text around his head, so as long as he has his team, he should be fine.

But that blue team is quickly evolving and possibly even falling apart as Alan needs a blue bandage from his boyfriend who is in blue to mend the cut he received because he wasn't thinking properly.

Which brings me to Dean, who first appears to the group as a shadow.

In fact, he shows up to Alan's house in the middle of a dark night, and proceeds to sit in the dark with a line cut between him and Jeffrey allowing Jeffrey to stay in the light.

Now, I'm not saying Dean is the injury Alan will get for not thinking, but I do find it interesting that so many people have "died" in this show, yet nobody is staying dead.

But even more interesting is that while Dean reappeared in the show wearing black and in the shadows, Christopher showed up in the blinding light (of love?) wearing white.

In fact, he even gets the blue treatment this episode.

But that doesn't mean he isn't a caged in shadow too.

Even when he is speaking to someone else, we don't see them. There is an attendant standing to his left who is covered by the screen. But unlike Barbie, we do see Charles by his side each time.

And this is, once again, why I don't think William is the big bad. He wants to win. He may want to destroy Barbie, but only because he wants to be (at) the top. (And I think he wants Charles). He wants to divide and conquer. His light isn't dark nor red.

So is the baddie the boy who magically started wearing white after never having a solid color, yet has red on his head this episode? Is it the man who should be dead, yet showed up in white with blinding lights around him?

Or is the guy who just can't get out of the shadows?

I think only a fellow man of the shadows can answer that.

You have synesthesia?? How does that work for you? Is this how you manage to use the word “meat” in a way that makes me go “holy shit that’s good and cool i need to read that sentence four more times” instead of “ew”?????

I do!!! Letters, numbers, and words all have colours and sometimes visual textures for me-- and while numbers and letters on their own are generally only a single colour (7 is a bright, grassy green!!! while "K" is a pale peachy pink, for example :] ), when i put them into words they often take on entirely new colours, some of which even bleed into each other like watercolour paints. Ironically, its why i use the UK spelling of "colour" in the first place-- the "u" turns what looks like a dull, desaturated blue into a smeared blue-and-purple that i find really pretty to look at :]] so when i say i like to paint with words, i kinda mean that literally 😂😂😂😂😂

But yeah, i'd imagine thats why my writing is Like That™ to some degree-- a lot of what im doing behind the scenes involves matching the colours and visual textures of a given word with all of the others in order to evoke a particular vibe or image in my writing. There are a lot of layers to how i write, but this is probably the one that takes both the most time AND is the one i happen to talk about the least WKDJWKSJEJ
