Hi love.
So I'm very new to your page and I just wanted to ask a random question because I was scrolling through. Do you think Sam will ever settle down or is he just having fun?
Hopefully that's okay to ask.
Hi, welcome to my blog! Years of stuff to catch up on. Of course it's OK to ask.
As for Sam, he's a self-admitted late bloomer in life and he's late to the game as far as fame, plus he's got issues related to not wanting to make the mistakes that his father did. All that to say, I do think Sam will eventually settle down with one woman, but not right now. I don't know if he will actually get married, but I do think he will have another committed relationship at some point in a few years. But, for now, Outlander is over and I'm sure he wants to be free to travel more, grow his businesses, and continue to act. Men don't have biological clocks the way women do, so I'm assuming in his mind, he's got time. I'm thinking of someone like George Clooney who didn't get married until age 53. His wife was 36. I see Sam going down that route. But, I could be totally wrong and he'll surprise us, and it will happen sooner. Tbh, I really don't care, whatever he does, as long as he's happy, I'm happy for him.
I hope that answers your question, Anon, thanks for stopping by! ❤️

we do what we gotta do to stay winning
with fussin' or fights we're keeping trust
and you make me wanna say
i love you better today

How did we get here?
It’s June and I’ve only just met you. Your long boyish hair that could use a trim, perfect teeth, an outfit out of date a full decade, and a laugh that echos with your nerves. Maybe, I think. You ask if I want to see you again and I say yes before we both turn and bolt back to our cars. I smile getting in, knowing you don’t quite know what to do with me yet.
July and you’ve made me laugh. I’m leading with my head this time. It’s less kind than my heart and quicker to judge. But somehow, even then it can’t find anything to worry about.
August, and the only thing I can worry about is that this may be the real deal. I tell my friends about you. You ask me if I want to be with you and I tell you I do, because of course, it’s you. And I’m leaving for a few weeks and I can’t help but miss you a bit with my heart, even if my head stays out of the worry. Only 3 weeks.
September and I worry I’ve ruined it all. But I haven’t broken your heart and I tell myself I won’t, not ever. I balked from this, from you, just this once. For a heart so afraid to settle, a small sabotage was more than expected. But I see your face again and it’s real this time, I’m sure of it.
September still and I see your face and I’m the sun. September and I’m still sure. September and you ask me to meet your mother and it only scares me for a minute. September and I think of how your mother and mine could be friends. September and I can only hope you’re sure of me, for every fault.
September and maybe we’re both home.

They had Greece, southern Iraq, and central Asia by 6000, Egypt and central Europe by 5000, and the shores of the Atlantic by 4000 (Figure 2.4). (...) The second theory says none of these things happened, because the first farmers across most of the regions shown in Figure 2.4 were not descendants of immigrants from the Hilly Flanks at all. They were local hunter-gatherers who settled down and became farmers themselves. (...) After sweeping from what is now Poland to the Paris Basin in a couple of hundred years before 5200 BCE, the wave of agricultural advance ground to a halt (Figure 2.4).

*Altair has retreated back to Coffee's room since Whole's stuff was still in the guest room, at least to his knowledge. After some thought while pacing they decided to summon a few things from home. A bass guitar with a mini amp that was covered in a few graphic stickers and a big ol' blue painted box that contained a sketchbook, leatherworking kit with leather and buttons; a collection of stickers, and a sewing kit. Just a few hobby related personal belongings that could keep him busy in his free time. Though he might not have much it's something for the forced breaks.*

(also feel free in the tags to clarify Why you made the choice you made!! :0c)
#polls#tumblr polls#For me I think the top ones would be the House. The Money. or the Friend Group. But I ultimately might would go for the house#JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications#and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe#country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that#country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here#despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically#TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that#part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0#Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth#or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather#than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in#a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like#$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make#payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or#something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have#paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone#with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have#to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer#than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them#or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into#why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY#I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like#to be able to choose someone to die lol.. So I'm curious what people value the most

TT: Do you ever see yourself settling down in the future?
Tumblr media
Nahi smiled at the question and tucked her feet up beneath her looking at the small fire pit in her backyard, then up over the back of her house and smiled. Swirling around a claret in the nice glasses she had gotten from storage, they were Iren’s from the old house but some things she did not want to buy new. Limiting expenses was important and until she had a better grasp on the estate finances with the recent issues.
Would she like to settle down? It sounded nice but she was still learning to just be herself in her own home. Maybe the definition of that was different for everyone, but she was putting down roots and that was the start of settling down, right?

What were your parents doing at your age?
At 56, I find myself reflecting on my parents at this age. My father, an Army officer, was settling into retirement, while my mother, a dedicated homemaker, embraced the quiet life in our home in Kerala. They were winding down, preparing for a peaceful, settled existence. In some ways, I see myself following a similar pattern—but with a twist. I now split my time between Kerala and Mumbai, two…

11/08 - Lago Vista, TX - THE LINE DANCING LADIES - Believe it or not, this group of ladies is one of the main reasons we live here. Back in the Spring of 2023, we were still living in the Airstream and focused on house hunting in Lago Vista and nearby Georgetown. During this time, we would typically spend our mornings taking care of our physical fitness and our afternoons house hunting. We started out just doing pickle ball and liked the people we met doing that. Some of the pickle ball ladies also did line dancing and invited Jacque to dance with them. Now we had an even bigger circle of friends and we didn’t even live in Lago Vista yet. That was the difference maker for us and it quickly dawned on us that we should discontinue our Georgetown search and focus solely on Lago Vista. For us, it was all about how welcomed the people we had met made us feel. Eighteen months later, we are very pleased with our decision to settle down in Lago. Thank you line dancing ladies for helping us with our big life decision.

Bruce, extremely serious: The mission requires absolute focus.
Dick: Got it.
Jason: Whatever.
Tim, typing furiously:Understood.
Damian: sharpening knife Acceptable.
Five minutes into patrol
Dick: over comms Did anyone else see that cat that looked exactly like Alfred?
Jason: The one with the judgmental stare? Already took pictures.
Tim: Sending them to Alfred now.
Damian: I've named it Pennyworth Junior.
Bruce: deep sigh
