Chuuya Nakahara didn’t deserve you.

Nor the air you breathed, or the space you shared with him at the Port Mafia. He didn’t deserve any of that.

Chuuya had always considered himself an okay person. He killed people, but it was for the sake of Yokohama’s safety—subsequently, your safety. In the eyes of others, he’s a piece of shit through and through (that, he doesn’t deny). But in your eyes, he’s just a guy trying to do what’s best for his subordinates and city. In your eyes, he’s just Chuuya.

It’s a bit odd, honestly.

Having feelings for his subordinate.

It fucked with his mind too.

The Port Mafia was no place for love. Look at Higuchi pining over Akutagawa like a lovesick high schooler—that’s clearly going nowhere. So it’s not like he’d have a chance with you, anyway. Not when you’re so good, too. So, so much better than he ever could be.

Someone like you—who regularly brought cookies to the Mafia’s HQ to ‘boost morale’—didn’t deserve a fake human like him. One who was a vessel of a god. The fake Chuuya Nakahara. No matter how much evidence said he was the real one, he couldn’t believe it. Just look at him, then at you. No, you’re the real human.

And he’s a fucked up mess that also happens to be a murderer.

In the middle of his self-deprecation, a knock hit his door. Probably Tachihara, that smug bastard. Not like he was doing anything, anyways. Taking one last look at the ceiling of his office, Chuuya called out.

“Yeah yeah, door’s open. Come in.”

Instead of that redhead, it was you.

Shit.

He was sure your shift was over. It was what, eight at night now? You got off right around now, so you had no reason to see him. Yet his cheeks flushed up anyway as a pointless attempt at faking a cough was done to hide the obvious reddening. Mentally cursing himself for for being so childlike with his feelings, he sat up in his chair, pretending to write on a document.

“Need something?”

He’d do it. Just ask. Wait—that’s pathetic.

“No, but the others and I are going out to drink. You wanna come?”

Chuuya perked up immediately, already imagining the taste of red wine sliding down his throat and warming up his body. He loved drinking. Helped to get his mind off his problems—namely, you. His fingers drummed on the wood of his desk, a small hum drifting from his lips as he thought of the potential consequences.

He could get drunk and act stupid in front of you. Or accidentally harass you. Or end up blabbering his head off about Dazai again. Or-

Snapping out of his daze when he saw you awkwardly standing there waiting for his response, he shrugged.

Fuck it. It’d be fine.

“Sure. Usual bar?”

You nodded, fiddling with the hem of your sleeves. You always did that when you were nervous. A small wave of worry washed over him. Did he make you nervous? Shitshitshit. What’d he do?

Standing up, he quickly organized some papers—recent missions and current objectives—into piles on his desk, palms slightly sweaty from the fact that you were watching him. Chuuya didn’t like how he always was a wreck around you. It wasn’t gonna make him good in your eyes, is what he thought. Lord, he wished he knew what would make you like—no, love—him back.

“Let’s go now then, yeah? We can get a head start on the others. Don’t want Tachihara to brag his ass off about being first again.”

He offered a small attempt at a smile, cheeks rosy and all. It was nothing compared to when you smiled, though. Like an angel. His angel. Holy fuck. He’s really gotta stop daydreaming about you when you were in the damn room with him.

Leading the way, he carefully kept to your side throughout the long hallways of the Port Mafia’s HQ, occasionally stopping to discuss a quick matter or two with one of his assistants. When someone bumped into you, he hesitantly placed a hand on your back to keep you steady and remind the other grunts that you were under his protection.

Although that still didn’t stop the dreamy stares at you.

Or the jealousy that Chuuya felt after. He knew that he wasn’t good enough for you, and he respected that. But these guys didn’t. No, they thought they somehow had a chance with you—a living, breathing angel—and that irked him. Shouldn’t they be grateful for just getting to see you? He was, anyway. He’d take all that he could get.

Including this short walk.

Lasting for only three minutes or so, soon you two were out in the chilly night air of the parking lot. You shivered a bit, cheeks and nose turning red and numb from the coldness. Chuuya couldn’t help himself as he nudged you closer to his side to be a bit more warm. Kouyou always said he was a human oven, after all. Walking to his car—nothing too fancy, yet not quite cheap—, like a true gentleman, he opened the door for you to sit in the front passenger seat next to him.

He always drove you to the bars. You always drove him back.

A fair deal, in his opinion.

Starting up the engine, Chuuya sneaked a glance at your profile. Nose tinted with red, cheeks puffy from the cold and eyes staring back at him. Wait. Huh? His face went red. Again. Now the both of you were flushed, and not from the cold.

“Want my coat? You uh, seem pretty cold.”

Please don’t say no, please don’t say no, please don’t-

“Yeah. Please.”

Chuuya shrugged off his black coat, carefully laying it on top of you like a cozy blanket. His hands brushed against your arms as he snugly placed it on you. You looked good under it.

“We’ll warm up with the alcohol later. I know you don’t like whiskey, but a shot should warm you up.”

You made a face, sticking out your tongue and giggling slightly while he started up the car, slowly backing out of his parking spot.

“That’s shit’s nasty, Chuuya-kun. Just like your wine.”

If Chuuya had one complaint about you, it’s that you didn’t like red wine.

“It’s an acquired taste, you brat. If you’d try it out more often, you’d like it.”

His heart warmed up at the sight of your smile, making sure to keep up the banter between you two as he drove to the nearby bar. His fingers twitched, aching to hold yours. To warm you up, too. He didn’t want his coat hugging you. Chuuya wanted to hug you. Was that too creepy? Hopefully not.

Traffic was a shitshow. Both of you agreed that more and more idiots were on the road lately, cursing at the car in-front of you. Thankfully, it didn’t last too long. Ten minutes later and he was pulling into the familiar parking lot of the same bar you two had been going to for a while with the others. A nice small corner bar, retro and one that didn’t mind their eccentricity.

Chuuya didn’t take back his coat from you as you wore it inside.

Ushering you into their usual corner booth, he ordered you two a small drink to start—just a vodka soda. Nothing too much. Although it got him slightly buzzed, a warm feeling calming him down a bit as he sipped. It felt nice. Just the two of you. No rowdy Tachihara. No Higuchi simping over Akutagawa or Gin staring at everyone.

Just you two.

“So uh, when are the others getting here?”

How much time did he have with you alone is what he really meant.

“Oh- let me check real quick. Sorry.”

Chuuya watched as you reached into your purse, grabbing your phone and probably texting Higuchi. A small frown came upon your lips after a minute. Nuh-uh. He’d kill whatever made you frown.

“Eh? Why’re you frowning? We’re drinking, cheer up a bit.”

You looked back at him sheepishly, scooting a bit closer to him.

“Well, apparently Akutagawa got sick so now Gin is taking care of him and Higuchi is worrying so she doesn’t want to come and Tachihara suddenly got busy out of nowhere.”

Yes! Yes yes yes! Just him and you now.

“Sucks. But the two of us are here, right?”

Chuuya was currently praying to God that you’d stay.

“Guess so. Should we order stronger drinks, then? I don’t wanna be sober.”

He now believed in God.

And so you drank. Him with his signature red wine, and you with your preferred drink of choice. Chuuya obviously got drunk first, with the redhead showing signs of intoxication while he got clingy with you. You were equally drunk, and didn’t care that much. So he clung into your arm like a baby while you braided his hair poorly.

“God, your hair is so pretty, Chuuya.”

Ooohh. You called his hair pretty.

“Is the rest of me not pretty?”

He pouted, tugging at your sleeve and resting his head on your shoulder.

“Huh? I didn’t say that. You’re really pretty. Super pretty.”

Wow. He’s super pretty now.

“Well, I think you’re pretty too.”

His face flushed, suddenly realizing what he said as he buried his face in your shoulder, squeezing your arm for reassurance. Why did he say that? Why did he say that!? Stupid alcohol. It made him talk so dumb like this. He didn’t talk like this when the others were around to keep him in check. Shit. Maybe he should’ve have drunk so much.

“You do?”

You looked down at him, fingers momentarily stopping their crafting of his braid.

“Mhm.”

A small shy mumble was all he managed to utter.

“You’re so cute! This is why I like you, y’know.”

His head snapped up immediately. No way in fucking hell were you gonna leave him on a bombshell like that.

“You like me?”

For the second time today, Chuuya was praying to God that you liked him romantically.

“Yep.”

Not helpful.

“But…like a friend? Or uh- romantically.”

Well. He said it. Fuck him. No way you’d like him back.

“Uh.”

Some silence from you.

“I’m not saying.”

Oh yes, yes you fucking were gonna say.

“C’mon, tell me. Pleaseeee?”

Puppy eyed Chuuya. He used this to get out of trouble with Kouyou. Surely, it’d work on you?

“Fine. You’re a bitch, but jesus, I like you romantically.”

Chuuya Nakahara was sure he was at Heaven now. No way you—his angel—just confessed to him. Albeit drunk. But still a confession. One of his hands slowly crept onto yours, lacing your fingers together. He was in bliss, basking in your warmth and ignoring the other rowdy patrons of the bar. You just confessed to him. You like him back.

You like him back.

When he finally got back to his senses and opened his mouth to say that he liked—no, loved—you too, his ears picked up on a small snore from you. Did you seriously fall asleep? You had done it before during previous get togethers, but now? A small smile crept onto his face. Whatever. It didn’t matter. He’d tell you tomorrow.

He’d confess back, take you on a date and prove his worth to you.

Because maybe Chuuya Nakahara could learn how to love like you.

Just maybe.

BSD college!AU headcanons - Study group on friday

TWs: Slight mention of OCD, Slight mention of heart palpations, slight mention of SH? I think? It's Fyodor's finger biting/hurting them in the process if that's triggering to someone.

It's all very slight though

Obviously thier mental health isn't as fucked up as in the canon universe here.

Also Oda is alive in this.

Usually, Dazai, Kunikida, Chuuya, Fyodor, Nikolai, Shibusawa, Sigma, Ranpo, Poe, Mushitaro, Yosano, Atsushi, Akutagawa, Higuchi, Bram, Gin, Lovecraft, Steinbeck, Louisa and sometimes even Jouno and Tecchou meet every Friday in the little Cafe close to their college in order to study together, do homework or just gossip about the day

They are all either majoring or minoring in literature so the all know each other in some way

It all started with Atsushi frequently joining Dazai, Chuuya and Kunikida after their lectures in order to study together with them because he dislikes studying alone.

Besides this, Dazai literally was his tutor for quite some time and still helps him out with homework sometimes (Atsushi still has to do a lot of convincing most of the time)

Atsushi actually picked the café because Lucy works there and he can see her more often now

Atsushi then told Akutagawa about their study sessions and begged him to come with him next time which he eventually did

Akutagawa then told Gin, Gin told Higuchi and so on

Dazai on the other hand once begged Fyodor to join them at the café once for whatever reason and Fyodor dragged Nikolai, Shibusawa and Sigma with him. Sigma told Bram, Bram told Lovecraft, and Lovecraft told Steinbeck

Ranpo is there because Yosano, who knew about the study group from Chuuya, convinced him to come too and he decided to drag Poe and Mushitaro with him.

Poe also told Louisa and Louisa was surpringly thrilled about coming with them to the café since her girlfriend works there

Jouno and Tecchou once decided to study at the café after their military training one day and saw the large group studying the same stuff as them and so they scooted over to that table to exchange some informations and to compare what they've written.

Since then, they sometimes join them once or twice a month

They don't just do their work for their literature course there. Fyodor is mainly coding something on his laptop for his coding major, Nikolai is revising his plays or makes Sigma read out the other roles while he revises his lines and Ranpo is whining about criminology being too easy and that college is unnecessary

Usually thier meetings are 50% studying and 50% gossiping

Thanks to Louisa, Lucy let herself get convinced to let them stay in the café even after it's closing time during the exam season

Bram and Lovecraft doze off nearly every hour so Steinbeck has to wake them up again all the time

Lucy coming to thier table, sitting down next to Louisa and chatting a bit during her short breaks is a thing

Her making sure that Louisa is doing fine and isn't overworking herself, kissing the top of her head and praising her but also roasting all the others for choosing to study and now suffering every few months because of exams while she decided to start to work instead of torturing her with even more school is a thing too

Ranpo often wears noise canceling headphones when the café is too crowded

They all grew kinda close to each other, some more some less, after some time. After all, they studied and talked together for hours every single friday

They also found out a lot about each other there

Bram found out that Dazai suffers from chronical pain aswell and now always keeps some less intense pain killers like the ones he has to take with him in case Dazai forgot his ones again with him

Sigma and Chuuya found out that the other suffers from OCD as well and now they always keep an eye on each other and comfort each other when it gets too bad

Dazai nearly always blasts pop music from 2010/2011 over his headphones

He is also always chatting with Fyodor for literal hours.

They don't get a change to chat for long super often due to Fyodor having afternoon classes and usually working until late at night while Dazai takes morning classes and works in the afternoon so those Fridays are great to finally talk with his best friend again

All of them bitching about the amount of work they have to do is a thing too

Atsushi loves the study sessions extremely much. He feels super comfortable in that group, even though he is admittably a bit scared of Nikolai, Shibusawa and Fyodor

Sigma and Atsushi always chat. Just like Dazai and Fyodor they see each other rarley during the week so this is a great opportunity on catching up on how the other is doing

The Perfect crime trio always orders an concerning amount of coffee

The tables which they shoved together to one big table are usually cluttered with laptops, papers, worksheets, books, plates with pasteries, headphones, cutlery, pencils and pencil cases, different kinds of folders, phones and a ton of cups

Due to this, Dazai, who only drinks his coffee decaf with sugar and not hot but warm, once accidentally blindly grabbed Fyodor's cup of hot black coffee and took a big sip while he was writing on essay on his laptop

Needless to say, he spit it out and dramatically complained and whined about the taste as well as about accidentally burning his tongue with the hot drink while also judging Fyodor for drinking such disgusting things

Fyodor just listened with a small amused smile and the judged Dazai for drinking decaf

Dazai complaining about literally anything is a thing too

Mostly he is complaining about studying

He can complain and whine about not wanting to do the work for college for hours

Chuuya and Kunikida are the complete opposite tho. They can work for hours without an break and especially Chuuya always works past his limits so Dazai has to keep an eye on them and especially on the redhead so that he won't end up horribly overworked and dizzy again

Shibusawa working quietly most of the time, only occasionally sliding his sketchbook over to Fyodor, Nikolai or Sigma, asking them what they think of his designs

He always has his one little lunch box with apple slices with him for some reason. He eats them when the employees of the café aren't looking

It's diffrent when he has an art/design block though.

He is in a horrible mood then most of the time, sketching sometimes only to skribble wildy over it again or he isn't even touching his sketchbook and is complaining about everything being so boring and every design looking dull then

Dazai "helping" Akutagawa with the latters tasks only to tell him the most cursed shit and giving him wrong answers is a thing

Usually Atsushi overhears it though or see the notes Akutagawa made and proceeds to lecture Dazai

Atsushi likes Dazai, that's put of question. He admires the older. But he's also so done with his shit like 80% of the time

Especially when he is messing with Akutagawa again

When Chuuya finds out, he usually smacks Dazai's head, scolding him for messing with Akutagawa (Chuuya took Akutagawa under his wing after and became his tutor after Dazai dropped him so by now he cares a lot about the younger student in a mentor/big brother kind of way)

Ranpo could technically help nearly everyone with their tasks but he only helps when he recrives payment in form of candy or other sweets. The more difficult the task or the more the work, the more candy he demands

Usually you get roasted about not being able to solve such an easy task too

So asking Ranpo for help is something you usually do if there is litarally no other solution

Ranpo or Mushitaro often hold Poe's hand under the table if the café is very groweded and they sense that he's becoming nervous again

During exam phases, everything is a tiny bit different and everyone looks pretty done with life

Dazai once even arrived to the café in his pyjamas during the exam phase

It actually made Fyodor laugh for the first time that day even though he tried not to laugh about it at first

The russian didn't looked any better though. He wore comfortable pants, a lavender zip up hoodie, had his hair tied up in a messed low pony tail and looked like he hadn't slept since days

His fingers were covered in colorful band aids for kids which Nikolai put on them after Fyodor bit them all bloody and wound again

No matter how long Dazai and Fyodor knew each other, it still felt weird to see him in other clothes than the black, white and lavender silky, a bit old fashioned but elegant looking clothes which he usually worse

Atsushi also looked like he hadn't slept since years, Yosano had wine in her water bottle, drinking it like water and looked like she was close to loosing her mind (she studies/majors in medicine), Chuuya had been overworking himself since the past week, Sigma had probably been through five panic attacks since Monday and Bram was just sleeping it off

It's not like for example Dazai and Fyodor think the topics are hard to understand and can memorize it in a matter of two days but it's the sheer amount of work which tires them out

Thier part time jobs, lectures, studying, it's all just a lot

Lucy supports them with regularly bringing them new coffee, tea and their favorite pastries to thier table (They happened to have them in stock. She absolutely didn't order them to made especially for them because she knew they were in the exam phase.)

Fyodor just dozing off on the table is a thing too then

Nobody dares to wake him though. For different reason

Some fear his anger, some are just happy that he finally gets some sleep

Poe and Nikolai usually bring thick plush blankets with them during that time and completely wrap themselves up in said blanket for comfort

Shibusawa once brought his sewing machine, sewing tools and fabrics with him and finished a whole outfit which he started sewing at his dorm at the café, completely unbothered by the stares he got by some costumers

Lucy keeps an emergency kit in a storage room ever since the study sessions became a regular thing

Chargers, tissues, pain killers, scotch tape, band aids, lavender pills, pens, ear plugs, pads, bandages, iron pills, you call it.

She often overhears them forgetting stuff so she made that emergency kit

She then, happened to have the needed item there by coincidence

She'd rather die than to admit she buyed stuff to help them

After the exam phase is over, Lucy opens the café for exclusively them on Saturday so that they can celebrate

Ranpo often simply snatches Mushitaro's tablet away from him when he notices that Mushitaro is close to getting a migraine again or when his heart palpations which are always acting up when he has a lot of stress, are acting up again so that he can't continue working on his tasks since he knows that Mushitaro is prone to work past his limits

When someone can't come to their study sessions, at least one of them, will send a long report about today's meet to them, usually with some solutions to some tasks attracted to the message

Sometimes Oda and Ango who happen to come to the café during their breaks, stroll over to the group, greet them and chat a bit with Dazai who's always excited to see them, already waving to them from his seat as soon as he sees them entering the café

-He wears mismatched socks because he feels like it's one of the only things he controls

-The only reason akutagawa wears his usual outfit was because Dazai saw it in a shop window and complimented it, so he wears it in hopes dazai will compliment him

-He likes big band music, and whenever he has downtime he'll blast some glenn miller

-If akutagawa ever starts dating someone he will definitely introduce them to dazai to get his seal of approval

-and even though dazai doesn't openly care about him, he will always give a nod or a headshake in response to his s/o

-akutagawa constantly buys cough drops, but only will use the ones that taste like candy, because he can't stand the taste of medicine

"babe?" he asked all suddenly, causing you to daze out of your trance, "huh?" you asked, looking at your boyfriend with a curious expression, "has anyone ever told you, you have beautiful freckles?"

he blushed slightly as you continued to poke your freckles again.

"i mean, shitty dazai mentioned them once, however he made fun of them instead of calling them..." he blushed at the word you used, "beautiful..."

you rolled your eyes, "that man never knows what he's talking about! I'm serious, there very pretty..." you smiled, "thanks." chuuya nods, going back to his cooking.

it wasn't hard to ignore you though, your pokes made him flinch every time because of just how sensitive his face was.

"yours are...too.." he complimented and you paused your poking on his face, "r-really?" now it was your turn to blush, which made chuuya grin, "yeah doll, I'd say there the most prettiest of them all." he leaned close to your face, turning off the stove to not caused a fire as he brought his lips closer to your cheeks, "chuuya! what-about dinner??" your mind was racing as you felt your boyfriends hot breath on your face; "it's basically done, but i'm not with you, sweetheart!"

you yelped as he suddenly pinned you to the wall and started to kiss your cheeks, more specifically your freckles on your cheeks, which caused bubbly laughter to escape from your lips chuuya could kiss for hours on end.

"chuhuya!" you laughed, "you may just have more pretty freckles then i have, what do you think?" you shake your head, giggling your top off, "no??" he gasped dramaticly making you laugh more, "well, allow me to prove you wrong, doll~"

your day was filled with chasing and kissing from your boyfriend<3

"should i cover these up?"

your voice caused your boyfriend to look up at you as he sat on your bed. you were in front of your makeup mirror that was on your desk, that was covered with school paper, makeup supplies, candies, and a whole lot of who knows what else.

he watched ad you held up concealer to your freckled face dazai would die for. he let's out a extremely dramatic gasp, almost cauing you to jump out of your seat as you looked back at him with a "what the fuck happened" face.

"ARE YOU UNWELL, WOMEN??"

"excuse me-AAHA??" you screamed as your boyfriend tackled you to the bed with him. you squirmed on top of him as he grunts, turning you on your stomach as he laid on the bed.

"dazai- what the hell- hehey!"

your anger turned into giggles as you felt his lips peck your face over and over. you were trapped in his massive bear hug as he held you tightly against his chest.

"stoahap!!" you giggled, trying to turn your head away from the boy who grabbed your chin gently to keep kissing your freckles, "now, what makes you think you should cover your adorable freckles?" he asked, taking a pause to kissing you to pinch your cheeks.

"it wahaas just a question!!" you yelped as he kept kissing you.

"it was a stupid question..these are so cute on you, bella~ dont you dare be ashamed of them!!"

"nikolaiahaha!! sto-AHWOW!!" you yelped once again as your boyfriend cuddled you into his arms and bite your cheek.

"i told you to stop biting mee!!"

"yeah, you can help it!" you pout as he started to gently kiss your cheeks again. they were soft at first before he suddenly dug his teeth into the flesh of your skin.

Dazai flipped over in his futon, half expecting to flop onto another human being, only to feel cold blankets. He groaned and continued rolling until he was on the tatami mat instead of the futon. After almost six months of sleeping with another person, his futon felt strangely big when he was alone.

"Belladonna?"

"Kitchen, Dummy."

With some effort he stumbled to his feet, and went out to the kitchen. The coffee maker gurgled, but Dazai couldn't smell the tell tale dark roast that he kept on hand. Instead, he smelled something fruity and creamy. His thoughts immediately jumped to you, as he swore you always smelled like a sorbet stand.

"Down here."

Lo and behold there you were on the kitchen floor.

You were surrounded by different bottles that were slick with the left overs from your hands. Half your hair was clipped out of your face, while the rest was in your hands while you ran a wide tooth comb through it.

It wasn't often that Dazai got to see your hair outside of twists. You said it was a protective style, especially against the salt of the ocean that constantly beat against Yokohama.

How interesting.

Dazai leaned against the counter with a raised eyebrow. "Comfy?"

"Yes, actually." You tilted your head up to look at him. "Coffee's gonna be ready soon. Could you pour me some too?"

"I could."

"Dazai c'mon, please?"

"Well if you beg that nicely."

He moved around the counter, and knelt down to your level. You raised an eyebrow, and he could feel discomfort radiating off you. Even your work on your hair had stopped, and yet you gripped the comb so tight he could he the plastic creak.

He shook his head before he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to your lips. When he pulled back, that discomfort seemed to have melted a bit.

Good.

He stood up and went to grab the coffee mugs. "Sugar?"

"You know it."

Shower Me in Love

Chuuya twisted the water on, before holding his hand under the cascading water. When it no longer singed his hands, he began to strip out of his clothes.

"Shower's on!"

"Coming!"

By the time he heard you walk into the bathroom, Chuuya had already stripped and was standing under the showers spray. Suds went down the drain while he rinsed out his hair.

"Took you long enough. Was about to get in the bath."

"Sorry! I had to take down my hair."

You finally stepped into the shower beside him, and he was surprised to find your hair had become a puff of tight, black curls. Chuuya knew your hair naturally curled like that, but he rarely saw it outside your braids.

He grinned as you reached out for your hair product. "Wash day for you too?"

"Yes and it's the worst! My deep conditioner didn't ship, but I'm tired of having dirty hair. Knew I should have just gotten the other one."

"They couldn't express ship?"

"I mean yeah, but-"

"If it's expensive charge it to my card." Chuuya said. "Your hair's too pretty to fuck it up on shitty products."

Your eyes widened a bit, before you bumped him with your hip. "Hush!"

He allowed himself to sway from your "violence" as he snickered at your bashful expression. "So fucking pretty."

A New Side

Atsushi hurried up the steps two at a time, humming along to the song that had been playing at the supermarket. When he finally got to your door number, he straightened up a bit, and knocked on the door.

"It's open, Atsushi!"

He opened the door, and toed out off his shoes. "I'm back, Darling! They didn't have olive oil, but they did have the coconut oil."

He went to your living room, and found you in the same spot that you were in half an hour ago. Your legs were under you, bottles of colorful creams were on the coffee table, and you had a comb in hand.

Now, however, your many bantu knots had been taken down in exchange for the puffs of tight curls that you were combing.

You looked up from the show you were watching on your phone with a smile. "Thanks! Can you set it on the table for me? I'll need it in a bit."

He did as instructed, his gaze never quite leaving your hair. He had learned a lot about you in the past two months. He knew you needed caffeine in the morning, and that you hated washing dishes, amd that he should get you flowers if you cried after an argument between you both. However, this ritual was new to him.

As he watched your hair do things his couldn’t, he was once more reminded how different the two of you were.

"Does it hurt?"

"Hm?"

He gestured to his own hair. "When you pull on it like that, does it hurt?"

"It can if you're not careful."

He watched you continue the movement. Careful, calculated pull of the comb through thick curls. Every so often you would stop, and add one of the creams or coconut oil to your hair, before running the comb through your hair once more.

After almost an hour of that, you paused and rolled your wrists til they popped.

Atsushi reached out, and gently took your hand. You tilted your head, but he didn't answer as he brought your wrist to his lips. You sighed and leaned your head back, eyes shut and a smile on your face.

"You're so sweet, Stripes."

Atsushi kept his lips over your pulse. "You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my entire life. Thank you for showing me another side of you."

You smiled and kissed his temple. "Thank you for accepting me for me."

was just looking on shitty bsd memes and realised (a little late ig) that 18 Chuuya didn't wear his black coat.

so yes have to overthink it. (a lot of spoilers from Stormbringer, maybe Dead Apple and Beast)

his hat is from Rimbaud, even if Mori physically gave it to him, it's the symbol of his trust to the Port Mafia since he swore to give himself to the organisation. but at least in his first year or so, he didn't really care about the Mafia. He saw himself as a mafioso, but wasn't nearly as tied to it. He was tied to the Flags and the Sheep and to his friends in the Mafia, but what happened in Stormbringer kind of left him with nothing but the Mafia (I love the idea of Chuuya staying in contact with Adam and Shirase, but they're so far from him so it's difficult), and a new bond to it. He learned about himself, so him staying there became something different. His hat is important to him and his bond with Rimbaud and Verlaine, who freed him from the lab (and tried to kill him btw) so yes, it was there from the beginning.

his choker? we don't know much- we don't know anything. He didn't have it when he met Dazai, ofc, but in the "don't forget that you're my dog" scene, probably set after a few days, Chuuya wears a choker, probably from Kouyou like his new clothes, and we see him wearing it even after seven years.

Plain black, probably leather, but the problem is with bones that removed the metal thing in the middle- something that pains me deeply, considering that in official anime arts THEY GAVE HIM THE METAL STRAP-THING SO WHY REMOVE IT IN THE ANIME ITS NOT SO DIFFICULT TO DRAW but yeah

the first is a dead apple illustration, the other 22!Chuuya, and even in Beast he has it. So, Kouyou gave it to him, but since we haven't got illustration for the fifteen era (at least not for the "you're my dog" scene) and Fifteen still has to reach the last part of the light novel, we don't know about Chuuya's first choker. If I have to be honest, I have two headcanons and I'm not able to choose between them: -Kouyou gifted him his choker and he wears it for more than seven years. like Rimbaud indirectly gave him his hat, Kouyou gave him a choker. They have a close relationship: she's his mentor when he's young for at least a year (she's not mentioned in Stormbringer and Chuuya already has an important position in the Mafia so her training likely already ended), and even when they're equals as executives Chuuya values her opinion and they share a strong bond. So yeah, the choker represents their bond -Dazai gifted him a new choker, the one with the metal thing, a little before Stormbringer. he even had an excuse to do so: Chuuya took his place as "head" of the mafia's jewels trade, so he could have give Chuuya the choker as a symbol of that transition of power/role (the Mafia thing- gifting things). Chuuya likely hated it but wear it anyway cause yk fashion and manners (that draw of Chuuya and Albatross vibing together after Dazai gifted his dog the choker is my life) and that's it. And yes also for the "after four years he still wears it"

but the coat. what the hell is it doing here? Chuuya wears it in his first days maybe, but ditched it, considering that he doesn't wear it in Stormbringer and Dead Apple

(I'm trying to understand what the hell he's wearing in dead apple and I'm not being successful) He didn't wear it when he was eighteen. We don't see him in the second season's light novel adaptation, but in the official arts he's always wearing his jacket, not his coat. So he likely started to wear it again after Dazai's deflection, but who gave it to him again, who invited him to do it? He's sentimental when talking ab his clothes and hair, so it was either him wanting to wear it as his importance and popularity rose, as he learned how to be the successful-executive-strongest-man he perfectionated when alone (he didn't get a new partner, since there wasn't another diamond- he was alone in this sense), or Mori made him wear it.

it's pretty obvious that the bond that Chuuya shares with the Mafia is nothing compared to his loyalty to the people in it. he's loyal to Mori, since he welcomed him in the Mafia, and he respects him as his boss: the "what does it mean to be a good leader" points out how Chuuya's failure as a leader (kind of- that's how he perceives it) branded his mentality, and for him Mori is a good leader, one ready to sacrifice himself for his city- so, granted respect (but with how Mori "clinged" to Dazai after his deflection that respect probably faltered a bit) he's loyal to Kouyou, like we said, as she was his mentor. he's loyal to his friends in the Mafia- they exists, so no, he wasn't isolated for four years. in Stormbringer while drugged and tortured he hallucinated and thought ab, citing him "the Flags, his friends in the Sheep, his friends in the Mafia" so he had a social life that didn't involve Dazai after the Flags' death, thank you.

most important, he's loyal to Dazai, more than anyone else. and it has nothing to do with "he follows him after Oda's death" "he joins the ADA". the beautiful and heart-shattering thing about their bond is that it has nothing to do with the Port Mafia, the ADA, Yokohama or the whole world. They're one soul in two bodies, they're the other half of each other. They're able to live without the other in their life, as in they can survive with not being together (when Dazai died in Beast he went batshit crazy. in every universe, dimension, Dazai had Chuuya near, or at least, the other couldn't be alive without the other, cause they won't stop saving each other like it's a fricking sport). Dazai leave the Mafia, and the Mafia doesn't know ab his whereabouts (Chuuya doesn't know nothing ab it, maybe he believed in the "he offed himself" rumor, but it isn't likely)

Mori is a manipulative bastard, who cares deeply about his city and the Mafia, but still an asshole who seized the opportunity. the idea of him giving Chuuya the coat he refused to wear for three years is sick but the most intriguing. as a sign that Chuuya was finally fully loyal to the Mafia, and the Mafia alone. no Sheep, Flags, or Dazai, only the Mafia and the people in it. he was finally theirs, and the coat was a sign of that.

now think about Dazai meeting Chuuya again after four years of refusing to gather informations ab his ex-partner, and seeing him wears that coat. the last "four years passed for everyone" sign.

Haiiii anon, we saw this last night while sawifying BSD and it made us so so happy I'm sorry we didn't answer it then but it wouldn't have been coherent.

The story of this icon is that we were thinking of 'canonically' disabled characters and Fyodor came to mind (although if he is disabled in canon is up for debate to me just because anemia isn't technically a disbaility and we will touch on the mental health stuff later) although we were going to use Chuuya we saw the art on a charm and knew we had to use it.

Fyodor is one or our favourite BSD characters (tied with Chuuya) although that's because of the system Fyodor headcanon, specifically the scene in dead apple with Crime and Punishment makes me insane. However I understand that this can be seen as a problematic thing due to Fyodor's actions in source but honestly, we feel more seen by systems who have done/do awful things.

I won't talk about our trauma but we were very much brought up in a 'dog eat dog' environment surrounded by Catholicism and hypocrisy but that does mean that even as a child we never got the chance to be a good person and because of that have always related to 'shitty rep' more than different system with different trauma would.

Back to Fyodor in my mind he displays behaviors of someone raised in a similar situation to us (although I do think that- given that we don't know what era he was even born in and the history Catholicism in Europe is insane- I don't think he knows that by modern day standards he was raised in a cult or cult like situation) and because of this he developed low empathy and ASPD/NPD through years of abuse (which also possibly shaped his world views- although I don't think Asagiri will agree with me).

Again, I know that this is another issue entirely (people with cluster b disorders deserve more rep than just having criminals) but again it means different things to us than others in our situation.

Dazai hc/bsd fic idea, etc whatever_ so no one gets depressed out of nowhere and whatnot, not to mention his mysterious past, etc, etc, so what if…. he remembers all the AUs he created for Oda, well somethings gotta give so what if the show isn’t actually entirely the true og verse, or maybe it could be; so anyways he got his hands on ‘The Book’ and went on this journey and created so many worlds just for him, so the Book in a sense is God’s book and this world is the story written down in its pages and we’re all the characters there, so one can’t deal so long with such an artifact and remain the same and I feel as though not many can actually even handle it even if they want to. So in a sense, he is a pseudo god almost/somewhat, in that he is functionally immortal, in the sense that nothing can kill him.

Nothing can remain unchanged, but the Book should rewrite the universe for the writer and I believe no one would properly remember not even the writer, for the previous world no longer truly exists and never actually did since it’s been erased, like pencil lines from a book. So he kept meeting Oda in every world and got attached and would rewrite the world for him not remembering the previous timeline, until at one point he slowly started to retain his memories, first in half-remembered bits and pieces and later in its entirety till he even started remembering the forgotten timelines too. The Beast AU was the only one where he could save him by forcing himself to stay away, and the show is actually his final closure he decided to get peace cause after all these worldlines he is tired, that’s where the suicidal tendencies come in. My dude is just tired of life at this point, he’s lived too long and suffered too much, made worse by the fact that he can’t actually die(cause ding ding ding, he’s immortal), thus the blaise attitude toward his life being in danger added on the fact that he’s gone through terrifying and dangerous shit too many times and too many times in too many different flavours to really be worried.

I hc that he was more cautious in the og verse and somewhat more serious as in personality wise and about death(back then the only trauma was his own shitty asf childhood and issues with his seeming psychopathy(in the medical sense)). Now he is in short basically a pseudo god in that,....think of it like this, God is the only one who can make change to the book that is the world, this book being made using pages cut from the fabrics of reality itself bound in a cover to hold the immense weight of the power and responsibility it holds, so one man kept finding this book over and over again even though he retained no memory of the previous worldline(s), that doesn’t make senses; so with every attempt his very being itself changed as the book injected parts of the realities into him and bit by bit bound him to the story that was his world meaning that he is literally tied to the universe itself and invulnerable to the Book’s changes and shifts as an author should be, for the author changes the book and it’s world not the other way around, now the thing is that he cannot supersede the true author of the Book who made it, that is impossible, but the Book and it’s powers can now no longer entirely influence him and he is functionally immortal, with the only thing one can do to kill him is destroy their universe, not worldline or timeline no, but the entire universe(multiverse) itself and every world, universe and timeline within it, basically destroying the true book of the true authour itself(why do I say true author, well the Book isn’t the true book of the worldline but more of a drafts book a segment of its power, no one other that God could have or use or even see the true book).That’s where No Longer Human comes from as well in the sense that it is meant literally that he is no longer human but something else, the ability being the invulnerability to the Book and all power connected to it, that is how he can nullify all abilities in that they cannot affect him at all.(all the abilities are connected to the book obv in that they are allowed a connection to it to draw power in their specific manner from it, abilities are basically after all like twists in reality itself so it all comes from the book but you cannot change it, that’s true, I mean thing ok its like this, killing a man with a touch doesn’t make sense, you’re basically twisting reality into giving you what you want by changing it, it is watered down and done through hoops and obstacles in such a way that no comes close to directly changing or connecting to it and thus the only way you can rewrite the world line is by writing in it directly so no one actually rewrites worldlines by using their abilities). This is also why he is considered special even though people don’t know anything, because once you truly think about it his existence doesn’t make sense as an anti-ability is in direct contrast to an ability itself being its direct antithesis and (unknowing to other people) the Book itself because he is in a sense somewhat free from its constraints and changes and abilities(more of a halfway selective(by the book)thing).

Note that this might seem disjointed, that's cause the hc literally possessed me till I wrote it down so I apologise for the word vomit. Again I'll add that this is a headcanon meaning it's not canon, I mean I wouldn't mind it being canon, but like Ik there ain't a snowball's chance in hell that'll happen. Ik I've been reaching pretty far with some of these but still. So yeah, I hope y'all were at least somewhat able to make sense of that. Thanks for reading this mess.

I apologize for tagging you all and bothering you once again for my shitty reasons, but since this is an important update to my blog ( I'm remaking without remaking ), I wanted you all to know what happens and how I'll be running this blog from that point on. ( I'm moving blogs to sideblogs so I can't follow you to let you know I'm moving them )

As some of you may have noticed, I'm moving my muses to separate blogs. That's a kind of system I was using a long time ago and I'm using once again now. How that works, you'll ask. Some of my muses are hosted on separate sideblogs, but I'll still be running this blog as a multimuse/hub blog. Everything will remain the SAME, I'll still be sending asks from knightinsourarmor, like calls, reblog visuals/quotes/aesthetic from different muses/fandoms. What has changed is that the writing has moved to a sideblog for each muse. I wanted them to still be tied to this blog but have a place on their own with their aesthetic, headcanons etc. ( their vibe if you get me ).

With that system, you can follow the sideblogs you want and see content only from the muses that interest you ( cool huh? ). Kind of like, little rooms my muses are hosted at, but still on the same house.

Now, to get to the point.

Todoroki Shoto and Levi Ackerman, my most active and developed muses have moved to singlemuse blogs ( different accounts, I can like content and follow back from there ). That's a decision I made because Shoto and Levi are developed to the point the rest of my muses can't catch up. They have far too many verses, can fit almost to any plot, and deserve the amount of attention I'd give on a blog on it's own.

The rest of my primary and secondary muses have moved to SIDEBLOGS tied to this blog. As for tertiary, private and test (low activity muses) they will REMAIN on this blog. This blog will also be the place I post ooc content, updates, headcanons, rp memes, reblog stuff I find notable from the rest of my blogs. So I suggest you don't unfollow even if there's only one muse you are interested in.

Despite the many blogs, knightinsourarmor will always remain the main I run. You can still treat this blog as a multimuse, tag this url to stuff, send me asks here etc.

As for urls, since I know from experience it's difficult to remember a bunch of blogs one person only runs, I've made them all have a common word, end to ‘–baund’. That way, if a sideblog appears on your dash/notes and you don't know who this is, you'll remember this blog is connected to knightinsourarmor.

Random bsd headcanons

Chuuya is a fashion bitch and wears colored contacts. It’s usually blue but he also has gray, red, and purple ones. His eyes are naturally brown

Mori is both mentally ill as fuck and a disaster bisexual bottom and he pretends Elise’s behavior stems from the latter but it’s very much just a form of self harm and she knows that but because she has to obey him she’s prevented from getting someone to help him

Kunikida has really bad tinnitus from going to too many concerts as a teenager + still has all his old clothes from before he started dressing professionally. Sometimes on days off he still wears an oversized denim jacket covered in spikes and patches

Kunikida and Katai have matching shitty stick and poke tattoos on their hips that are just little shapes. Katai’s is a heart and Kunikida’s is a star. Kunikida acts like he deeply regrets it and wants it gone but every time he notices it fading more he gets sad

No one realized how much of his autism Ranpo masked until Poe came around and suddenly Ranpo was way more comfortable actually expressing his needs and seeking comfort

Atsushi is really mad that tiger’s can’t purr cause he’s fully convinced being able to stim by purring would solve all his problems

Atsushi knows who Natsume is… kinda. He knows that the cat is a man who is pretending to be a cat, he doesn’t realize how important said man is in the grand scheme of things. He just sees his coworkers cat and gives the little “feline shapeshifter head nod of recognition”

Atsushi is also really jealous that he can’t use his ability to be someone’s pet and never have any problems or responsibilities. He has considered running away to a jungle somewhere but a white tiger would be way too conspicuous. He also then considered a circus but figured if he was going to work anyway he should at least get paid
