Aww, I loved Mack calling Adam Dad so casually. I also liked that Kim didn't mind because, if I'm honest, I thought she might have a problem with it.

I was really unsure about the Mack, Kim and Adam family for many reasons (a black traumatised child being cared for by two white police at a time when the divide is so clear and the fact that the writers did nothing to address this. I need to stop because I could rant about this for quite a while) but the actors and the young actress have really made it work.

I knooow I love love love that she said it so casually. Especially as that's something that does happen, that sometimes it's a huge thing where the child wants to ask before saying it and sometimes it just becomes something so simple that it just is, and the child just says it. And I honestly thought that when it happened cpd would make it be the former, but I loveeeee that it was the latter so so much.

I think especially because it just shows how loved, safe and secure she feels it that home, and with Adam. And shows that she does have a connection with Adam that isn't tied through her connection to Kim, which is really important.

I also love it because I wondered if they'd do it, or not. Obviously Adam can function as her dad and be seen through her eyes as dad without that name, and I wondered if that'll be the direction they go in, especially as it would be completely realistic for Mack to have negative associations with that title, but the fact that she doesn't shows an element of how well they've both supported her overcoming the traumas she's faced.

I was never worried about Kim having a problem with it personally. I mean maybe last season, but this season has been really strong and with Kim moving them in to the house and essentially trusting Adam to take on an even bigger load of the parenting as she goes to therapy, I was fairly confident that she wouldn't because (and this is just in universe, ignoring all the out of universe reasons I was confident ofc) she's very much let him take upon that role with little interference or misplaced protectiveness/possessiveness over Mack. But I will admit it was very relieving that she didn't, because you never know.

I was also pretty unsure about the family, which tbf was also because of other non race factors. I put a lot of it behind me fairly quickly though, I think especially once it became abundantly clear that they weren't going to tackle any of the complications. Not because they no longer bothered me, but because it'll drive me crazy otherwise and I just forced myself to make peace with it as much as possible.

And a lot of the reason as to why I could was because of the actors involved, both Marina's and Paddy's tenderness in the scenes actually featuring Makayla, and Ramona's acting itself really helped it work. (And of course the inclusion of Uncle Kev and Jordan this season helped even more).

And I mean, I have some white family members myself so I am always a little soft towards multi racial families (just would maybe not put a traumatized black girl with two white cops. They made it work and I do prefer in many ways them having a black/poc kid as a low semi regular on the show than a white kid but it also should've been a drawing board idea only and despite how well it's turned out and that I probably wouldn't trade this in for anything I will still always stand by that).

Okay SO I've never Bad Batch posted beyond reblogs but there's two episodes left and I'm going insane so my big giant theory for why the finale is titled The Cavalry Has Arrived with a sprinkle of Tech is Alive Yes I Am Delusional:

Tonight's episode is going to end with the Batch, Omega's gang, and CX-2 all colliding in one of the hallways.

would go blank. not sure how he ended up in this situation, and also unsure of how to process it. he'd chuckle awkwardly, bowing repeatedly as he apologized for falling on your chest. a bit embarrassed at realizing he kinda maybe liked the proximity a lil bit.

wide eyes and completely baffled. would never hear the end of it by the boys, who would replay the scene for him over and over in the same way they mock him for his run in bittersweet. poor boy would sheepishly apologize afterwards but not be able to hold eye contact again for a while.

he's usually very put-together and doesnt seem to be easily embarrassed. except for this instance. for one, he tripped, which was embarrassing enough on its own, but he also tripped on you. not only did he trip on you, but he landed head-first into your chest. he would be speechless, not knowing what to say, just staring with wide eyes and agape mouth. a few seconds later, he'd snap out of it and apologize if he had hurt you somehow, attempting to move past it as soon as possible.

would also turn it on you. he would be too flustered to admit fault, claiming you had been in the way and that's why he'd landed on your chest. poor boy would get so red in the face, unable to look into your eyes despite having scolded you just seconds ago.

shocked. even if you two had been physically close by the time this happened, he would still be shocked that he had somehow ended up there. he was a bit clumsy at times, so the act itself wouldn't have really surprised him, but rather the outcome would've made him flustered. he'd be sheepish and formal in apologizing, letting you it was an accident. would curse at himself once you were out of earshot, embarrassed he landed on your chest of all places.

Sadie wasn't one to really enjoy being away from her father and Y/N had made the grave mistake of telling her she and her dad were going out for a meal which in Sadie's mind roughly translated to they're going out to eat without her.

      - I know, munchkin but you won't like the restaurant me and daddy are going to. They don't sell any chicken nuggets.

      - But daddy always makes them have it.

      - That's sweet, baby, but I don't think daddy can change menus. I think.

The red head pouted as Y/N finished sorting her out. She wondered if Bucky had a nugget empire of restaurants he could choose or if he was that well respected a chef would just prepare it for him just because his daughter wanted it. Whatever way it was, she stood there realising she'd never gone on a date with someone that high up. Sure she had her little affairs with men that had a trust fund but they were just that, the sons of powerful men. Bucky was both - the son of a powerful man and a powerful man himself. Did she even know how to dress for a man like that?

She sighed, entering her bedroom and opening her closet, crossing her arms at the sight in front of her. "Downtown at 7", what kind of information was that? It could mean a myriad of things which required a different dressing code. Damn you Bucky and your vague instructions. Y/N eventually decided on a black dress, hoping that would work for everything.

Y/N looked at herself in the mirror and put her lipstick on. The same mantra was going over and over in her mind "it's just a date", yet every time she did she rationalised that it wasn't just a date. It was a date with Bucky, her Bucky, her boss Bucky, father of Sadie Bucky. Just do it, she told herself as she went to grab her purse to meet Bucky at his office, just do it.

      - Has anyone ever told you you take as long as my daughter to get ready? - she jumped a bit as she heard Bucky's voice.

      - What are you doing here?

      - We have a date, have you forgotten? - he got up, his hands inside the pockets of the neatly tailored suit as he approached her. - Or are you chickening out?

      - Long story. - Y/N shrugged. - Is she okay?

      - My dad's probably boring her to death with model trains and my mum is feeding her every sweet treat they can find, so I'd say she's fine.

      - She's going to be impossible tomorrow, isn't she?

      - I was hoping she stayed at my parents tomorrow as well.

      - Why? I'm bored, I have nothing to do until I hear back from my VIVA and Sadie keeps my mind away from it.

      - I have plans for you tomorrow.

      - What kind of plans?

      - I'm a scholar, my job is to ask questions. It's almost like I asked you to stop being bossy and impossible.

Y/N snorted a bit at that statement. She adored Bucky and he had been nothing but a great boss - to her at least. He was a perfectionist and liked everything done with the best results in mind which sometimes led to him being quite impossible, specially if her was in a sour mood. Heck, sometimes she'd even been on the other end of it yet it usually ended up with him apologising.

      - Let's just go before you decide you don't wanna go out with a bossy and impossible man.

He didn't exactly knew how to act on a date with her, she was not the type of woman he usually dated - he actually hadn't even dated in a while, he was one to just go to dinner for one night stands only. His last date, Sadie was 5 months old and he went out with a woman named Elizabeth who worked in Wall Street - a date which had been cut short by his constant wondering about Sadie.

This was different, first Y/N didn't work in an area which matched his and, at least in his head, was a lot more educated than him and probably worried about his daughter as much or sometimes even more. It was just different and he didn't exactly knew how to handle it in a suave manner and she seemed to notice as they sat. She gave him a knowing look before opening the restaurant menu.

      - How many people here do you think are convinced I'm your sugar baby? - she attempted to break the ice, her little mischievous smile as she looked at him over the menu. Bucky laughed at this, looking around before looking back at her.

      - Probably no one. If you were my sugar baby, your dress would fit you properly.

      - Hey! - she playfully kicked him under the table. - This is Marc Jacobs.

      - You wore that dress for your interview to be Sadie's au pair.

      - That was ... a while ago. I had just started at graduate school.

I've been with JJ for 3 years now. We met at a YouTube event and the next morning I had an instagram message from him asking if I got home ok, a months later we'd been on multiple dates and I was officially his girlfriend. We kept our relationship a complete secret so only our friends and family knew but decided to announce it quietly to everyone after a year of being together. We still kept it pretty private, only posting the odd photo here and there. I've been doing YouTube for years and have a pretty substantial following on all of my platforms, so thankfully don't get to many of the "your with him for the money" comments.

y/username just started a live video...

I decided randomly that I was going to go live to say hello and answer some questions. Thousands of people immediately started poring in. "Hey, how's everyone doing?" I asked while trying to read through the comments. "I'm bored so I thought I'd pop on here to answer some of your questions." I said. "When are you gonna do another PLT collection," I read aloud, I shrugged "can't answer that one." I said with a wink to the camera. "Ok umm- where's your top from, Bershka." I answered.

After a little while I heard the door to my office click. I quickly pressed the "pause live video" button as JJ walked into the room. "You alright?" I asked. "Yea, I'm just heading off to training, see you in a bit." He said then pressed a quick kiss to my forehead. "Bye, love you." I said with a smile. "Love you." He returned the smile then left. I turned back to my phone to see it still on and the comments flooding with: "OMFG" "I screen recorded it!!" "They're so cute" "I THINK SHE ACCIDENTALLY LEFT IT ON🤣" my eyes widened "shit." I said aloud. It didn't pause. I quickly said goodbye and ended the live.

JJ arrived home a few hours later. "Hey." He said tiredly. "Hi, how was training?" I asked, pushing myself off the couch. "Good, I actually-" "JJ," I interrupted him, his brows furrowed "I um- earlier I was live and I forgot to tell you and I thought I paused it when you walked in, but I didn't and they-" I rambled. "I saw." He said calmly. "You did?" He laughed "it's all over twitter, the boys sent it to me." He said with a chuckle. "You're not mad?" I asked. "What? No, of course not." He replied. "Oh, good." I sighed of relief. "I am getting roasted though, I think this is gonna take awhile to die down." He said with a grin.

I think it’s a vicious circle for all of us here. It turns out that if I write down whatever ideas plague me, I saves me from entire days of dysfunctional daydreaming. On the other hand, I will pass it on to someone here, who in return reaches out to me with a brand new suggestion, which sends me straight back. So all in all, I would say there’s a lot of teamwork involved. 😂

Ok....so let's not lie to ourselves here.....Stay Away Joe was not one of Elvis's best all in all....at least not in my opinion....however can we also agree how BEAUTIFUL this man was IN THIS MOVIE? Like.....he was so tanned...(I know the reasons....) however, HE WAS SO TANNED IT MADE HIS EYES POP! And his hair was something else....HE WAS SOMETHING ELSE... He keeps a close eye on you while you recover and he gets a little (a fucking lot) over protective of you

She wasn’t there too see you get shot but as soon as she heard the gun shot she panicked

She put duck down in a chair and told him to stay calm and not too look

Once she saw you she started tearing up

She felt so bad for you!

She’d tell everyone to keep calm as she tried to bandage your wounds

She’d be at your side 100% of the time and would make sure your as comfortable as you can be

He also didn’t see everything go down but this kid was so upset

You where one of his best friends (mainly because there where only two other kids in the group, one being you) and he was you you bleeding and in so much pain!

He was already bit and seeing you shot made it so much worse :(

He was willing to share any supplies you needed to help you recover btw!

He’d do anything for his amazing best friend!

He couldn’t really help you out at all or even take your mind of it because he was too sick to do anything

But he’d use any energy he did have to ask if your ok or make a silly joke <:)

She was traumatised oml

She saw her best friend get shot

She screamed and burst out into tears!

Lee told her to closer her eyes and not look at you while they patched you up, but she didn’t want to leave your side

So she stood in a place where you could see her and closed her eyes, every so often taking a peek and giving you a sympathetic smile

After you got bandaged up she’s stay by you and got you whatever you wanted

This one time the group stopped off to get some supplies are they came back to see her routing threw all the cupboards

“What are you doing, clem?” -group member

“I’m trying to find a snack for (name)! They wanted one :(“

Lilly

She felt so bad!

She didn’t mean to shoot you!

She totally froze, unable to say or do anything

Before the group forced her to leave and everyone inside she gave you one final look of worry and regret

She knew that leaving the group was the best thing for them and she wishes that you survive the shooting

That always sticks with her, the guilt may of died down after a few years but the memory never leaves

She always stills wonders if you made it

And if you wanna drag this idea to season 4 she will definitely bring it up to clem

Doug

He totally freaked!

He felt so bad!

That bullet was meant for him (and ben) and yet you got shot :(

The guilt he felt was something he was never going to live down.

This man would risk death to get you any supplies you need for your recovery, it’s the least he can do.

It’s so obvious he feels bad like when Katjaa was patching you up he couldn’t look at you for more than a second

After your recovery he tries and shows you how grateful he is!

He’d either tell you that you where one brave kid and he’s very thankful for that

And/or he’d find you some old teddy that he’d think you’d like!

Like Doug she felt so bad!

She was shocked at first but then anger took over and she started screaming at Lilly

She helped you get inside and find anything to patch you up

All the time ever during your recovery you could hear her angrily shit talking Lilly for what she did to you

Like Doug, she was obviously a little guilty and would tell you that she was grateful of what you did but she wouldn’t let the guilt consume her forever

But she’s always looking out for you now more than ever

This poor dude was too shocked to do anything!

He just watched in horror

This was all because of him (and Lilly) but he felt so much guilt!

He never stopped feeling guilty

He doesn’t know what to do at all

He does get you anything you need!

But he just can’t look at you :(

It probably takes him a good few months just to be able to look at you

The only thing you can really get out of him is

“…so uh how are you?”

He just don’t know what to do he wishes he could just go back and stop all of this

You got the denial MCs who get toasted, the reluctant MCs who get roasted, the eager MCs who get boasted, but this is all about a hesitant/reluctant MC who, will do their best to save the world and all now but would like to ask if there's a way to get out of being Harbinger for the next cycles? Kinda cut thrmselves out of it ya know? Is it possible? Or is it a case of "Sorry bud you're SOL"?

Love the story just curious if later incarnations can take-backsies, and if whatever harbinger ritual that happened can be repeated to replace those who want out? Thinking of it as I type this out I guess not because of some logistical issue and training but I have no clue about Arthurian lore, and your story being a take on that I don't know if there's any fleemflam that can do what I'm thinking of.

I saw the Les Miserables US tour on Tuesday and am still IN MY FEELINGS about it, so here’s a random assortment of somewhat coherent thoughts/rambles/write up/review.

(Note: I saw the entire principle cast except Randy Jeter (who was out) and two ensemble swings. Andrew Marks Maughan was pulling double duty as both the Bishop and Combferre.)

• I didn’t know anything about Nick Cartell going in, but holy fuck, that VOICE. Tone is immaculate. Lungs of fucking steel.

• “Another story must beGINNNNNN” are you kidding me Nick. Who gave you the right to be this talented. Why is this man not more famous?!

• Preston Truman Boyd as Javert - voice is great, nice deep baritone. I wanted a smidge more from him acting wise though (this improved over the course of his performance).

• Nick and Preston sound phenomenal together, their voices work SO WELL.

• Haley Dortch has the voice of an angel and I loved her portrayal of Fantine.

• I appreciated that when Fantine was attacked/arrested all of the lovely ladies kept trying to stop it/help her. A nice staging touch.

• The whole transition into the courtroom was fantastic. Nick with that ending note of “Who Am I?” 🤯 I feel like I heard a few nods to Colm’s Valjean throughout Nick’s performance, this being one, which I appreciated on a cellular level.

• Confrontation sounded sooo good. It is a little goofy looking because Nick is so much shorter/smaller than Preston, which made the whole Valjean-as-stronger-man thing a bit silly. The blocking here didn’t do much for me. But what can you do. However! The “you’ll wear a different CHAInnn!” *cue Present with the chain hitting the stage floor* was fierce.

• It took a minute but Matt Crowle really won me over as Thénardier. Acting choices were 💯 without going over the top.

• There was a lot going on during “Master of the House” and it was a lot of fun, but also hard to catch everything.

• Gavroche was delightful. As usual.

• I’m not sure why Enjolras’ blonde wig was so bad, but it was really distracting. Devin Archer does a very decent Enjolras, but man that wig was not doing him any favors.

• Marius’ entrance was forgettable. I think this was more a staging issue than a reflection on Jake David Smith maybe? All the students kind of looked the same at this time. I had a hard time telling Les Amis apart all night, honestly. Except for Enjolras and Grantaire, obviously, which brings me to���.

• Kyle Adams. You freaking fan-servicing national treasure. Cards on the table, seeing reviews of Kyle’s Grantaire was the single biggest reason I decided to catch this tour, and I was really, REALLY hoping to see him in the role. I did not think anyone would ever come close to eclipsing Hadley as my R of all time, but Kyle is right up there in his orbit. Omg that scene stealing little shit. He really put his all into “the drunk one”. Blowing the kiss to E at the end of Red and Black. Continually slapping people with his coat jacket. The dick-bottle in Enjolras’ face. Constantly goofing around with Gavroche. It was all gold. I really appreciate an actor who’s done their homework, and Kyle is very obviously well versed in both the source material and the rabid E/R fan fiction. His performance is a love letter to the fans - to those of us who have cried over the brick, who have watched every musical version we’ve been able to get our hands on over and over again - and I love that for all of us.

• Anyway, back to “Red and Black”. Devin is great, really brings the sassy Enjolras energy. Marius is….kind of forgettable again. Sorry, Jake. Enjolras when he grabs that flag…Devin is really serving.

• “Do You Hear the People Sing” was wonderfully rousing, as always. One of my favorites forever. The transition to the streets was very pleasing. Again, Devin with that damn flag. I might end up shipping Enj with the flag as much as E and R, he’s that passionate with it 🤣

• Delaney Guyer was a perfectly pleasant Cosette. No criticisms, I just haven’t really ever cared about Cosette much as a character. Her songs do very little for me. But Delaney was lovely.

• Mya Rena Hunter as Eponine was somewhat “meh” for me. Her vocals are killer and “On My Own” got one of the biggest ovations of the night, but I didn’t love her acting choices. Or maybe lack there of, it didn’t seem like there were any. I dunno.

• The staging/choreo for “One Day More” was really entertaining. Much better than the underwhelming marching I saw in the 2012 production. Devin serving sassy, dramatic Enjolras with flair and a rifle is a whole ass mood.

• I fucking love the barricade set. Seeing Les Amis climb all over that thing is such a moment. Enjolras literally leaping off the set multiple times. Dude gets AIR.

• Gavroche flipping off Javert was an audience favorite.

• “A Little Falls of Rain” was underwhelming. The staging was a bit awkward and there was no scene chemistry between Jake and Mya. I really wanted to feel something. I didn’t. Just eh.

• “Drink With Me”, on the other hand, was so wonderfully emotional. Kyle’s stying of R’s verse is an angrier, grittier interpretation and I’m sooo here for it. Enjolras goes to console him and R pushes him away. The pain feels so real.

• “Bring Him Home”….Nick. Fucking. Cartell. I have no words. He cast an absolute SPELL over the theater. His breath control is super human. His last “home” note went on FOREVER. Absolutely phenomenal. Hands down best version I’ve ever heard live. Biggest ovation of the night.

• Gavroche’s death 😭 So sad, so well done. It was very striking how he was shot just as Enjolras’ hand reached up for him as he returned. The timing, the lights, sound everything was excellent. Then he crumpled onto E’s shoulder. E handed his lifeless body to R, who was just devastated. I love the relationship they created between Gavroche and R this production. The entire build up of their interactions made this moment so poignant and believable.

• Christopher Robin Sapp really took his 5 seconds of National Guard Officer/Loud Hailer time and absolutely slayed it. I want to see more of this guy in the future.

• The choreo of the final battle was very satisfying. I totally missed Marius getting injured and just mistook him for another student because again….Marius was just not catching any of my attention this tour, lol. The frantic moment between E and R in this scene was so raw and well done by both actors. R reaching for E’s face, clasping hands so very briefly. Ugh.

• Then E with the flag again. This scene is so striking and Devin gives it EVERYTHING. Then R climbing up after E once he gets shot and falls off of the barricade. The way it takes a few moments for R to die after being shot and Kyle freaking Adams makes sure the audience knows it…

• I was lucky enough to see a production with the revolving stage back in the day and I’m really glad I did, because the reveal of Enjolras’ body hanging upside down off the other side of the barricade with the flag is one of those theater moments that will haunt me forever. Enjolras’ lifeless body in the cart just doesn’t have quite that same punch, but it’s timed very nicely with the music swell, and the way his body shifts/almost falls out of the cart when it’s carried away again is quite effective.

• Ok so the sewers. That was cool. I felt like this production used just enough of the screen to really assist the set design without relying on it too much. It worked really well for the orchestration and gave depth to Valjean just dragging Marius across the stage 3 times.

• Thénardier dragging in that corpse by his ankles for “Dog Eats Dog” lol. Matt really showed up for this scene. I think he did a good job of dipping into the “comedic” aspects of Thénardier as well as balancing the really rotten parts - this was a really great rotten part. I thoroughly enjoyed his turn as the infamous innkeeper.

• Javert is such a little drama queen.

• “Stars” was A++++. One of my forever favorites anyway, but Preston took this song to church. Also, I do NOT remember this staging, if it’s what I saw in 2012 (I don’t think so?!) and holy shit. I was not expecting what they did, which got quite a few gasps from the audience. The falling/floating/reaching while holding that last “ONNNNNNN” was a fucking MOMENT. Props to this production set up. Major props to Preston. Just wow.

• The transition from “Turning” to “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” was beautiful, and I love love love the candle choreography. When Les Amis blow their candles out….ugh 😭 This number was a bit of redemption for Jake David Smith, who until now had kept slipping into the background. I found his Marius to be a bit uninspired and unrecognizable for the most part. He did not bring much of a presence to the role until this moment. But his vocals were great here, and the anguish felt genuine.

• I don’t have much too say about “Beggars at the Feast” because I was too busy watching no one but Kyle Adams as Major Domo for the entire scene 🤷🏻‍♀️

• But omg the change of Thénardier’s lyrics from “this one’s a queer / but what can you do?” to “this one’s a queer / I might try it too” and then he dips that random wedding guest dude was a giant yes from me.

• Finale left a touch to be desired blocking/staging wise. I remember feeling that way with the 2012 production as well. Les Mis is just such a powerful musical, I feel like it deserves a bigger ending than basically everyone just standing in two lines behind Cosette and Marius. The cast’s vocals made up for the lack of production though. Truly so, so good.

• In conclusion: Nick Cartell has an otherworldly voice and Kyle Adams is the Grantaire we all deserve. I am so, SO glad I got to experience this cast.

She shook her head, laughing at how awkward her best friend managed to make the situation.

I had a thought…and wanted to see what you thought of it 🤣 again it’s a Pippa thought (although could work with CC) I remember watching an interview with Emma and she had on all these thick rings, and it got me wondering. I don’t think Pippa would wear rings to often, especially when she’s doing a case or in her regular day to day. But maybe on a night out Cara gets Pippa dressed and ends up giving her some rings to borrow, not much just two each hand. But cara sees how much reader just can’t take her eyes away from Pip’s fingers and she’s extra clingy so cara being cara would tell Pippa to wear more rings. But she’d do it in a cara way, blurt it out while she’s doing pip’s hair or something. “Your girlfriend seems to really like when you wear rings. I have a few I don’t use if you want them”. Pippa isn’t really into rings but she decides to test it. So she does and reader is practically a puppy dog with pip. Blushing when pip grabs her chin softly with her ring fingers…. So pup wears them sometimes…just to see her girl a little more animated.

Hiya :) I'm so happy to see you've come back to Tumblr as I've followed you on YouTube for years now but there's just something kinda nice about getting Tumblr notifications regularly for the first time in years from a content creator I really enjoy. Your hypnosis and ASMR in general is fantastic! My fiance was interested in hypno stuff at the time of getting together but didn't really know if it was normal or a thing if that makes any sense.

Like myself a couple years agoyour content allowed her to feel like she wasn't just weird for bring interested in hypnoplay.
