Cooked up my bio paper! Now it’s time to get my communications paper done with (I’m never taking another cmns class again) and then it’s time for finals flashcards + psych final project. AHHHHH I also have a final project for cmns which is worth so much and for what reason? Also where is my money and why am I broke???? (I’ve been buying expensive coffees every day)

velvette and valentino absolutely both have their own money, in excess, but will ask vox to buy them things partly because they like being spoiled and partly because they know vox is (secretly, he thinks) delighted by playing the exasperated guy who can be cajoled into buying you something just this once, but you'd better not try the puppy eyes and kisses again next time, it won't work! (it continues to work, always.) it makes him feel very masculine

There is psychology and then there is navy and im already a diploma deep into the education field also i wanna be a tech genie and a creative af person somebody kill the perfectionist inside me so that ill stop expecting to build a career in every hobby of mine from myself without exploring anything 😀

Humans are weird: talents

Even after Clara returned to the crew, they decided to keep the other human- Rhett- around. They decided it would be good to have more than one human on the ship. It seemed to be beneficial too, as Rhett and Clara got along very well. A few weeks after her return, Indigo approached the two with a question. “Ah.. human-Clara and human-Rhett, I require assistance.”

Clara and Rhett both paused, looking up at xem. Clara spoke first, smiling warmly, “What’s up?”

Xe presented a broken piece of machinery to the two. Rhett happily took it, producing a few tools from his belt and tinkering with it for a couple minutes before returning it to Indigo, who seemed shocked. Clara also looked surprised, “Dude, how’d you do that?”

Rhett laughed softly, “Ah, it’s just some stuff about engineering my ma taught me.”

Indigo took the machine, xir quills changing to a light yellow with xir gratitude. “Thank you, human-Rhett!”

Clara admired the piece for a few seconds, “Jeez, you’re really talented with that.”

Indigo tilted xir head to the side, “Human-Clara, what is this ‘talent’ you mentioned?”

“Oh!” Rhett answered first, grinning, “Basically, a talent is somethin’ you’re real good at naturally. For example,” he looked at Clara, “she’s a whiz with languages- that girl barely wears her translator nowadays!”

Clara smiled at the compliment. “Rhett, you’re good at mechanical stuff. And Indigo, you’re super good at handling emotions.”

Xe seemed happy at the compliment from Clara. It was nice to hear that she thought xe was talented, even if it mostly came from innate abilities xir species shared.

i love it when bad is very specifically a good roleplayer by giving other people good prompts. like casually bringing up wilbur now to tallulah. or when he put missa in the petting zoo. or all those times he Tormented the Lesbians so they could protect each other from him. its just so !!!! I love watching roleplayers be considerate of other roleplayers and gleefully hand over something they Know the other person's character can react to. i've seen cellbit do it, too (that time he handed his knife to bbh. oh my god). it's not a rare thing, and it's possible to be a good roleplayer without keeping that sort of considerate back and forth in mind, but its one of my favourite things to notice. foolish does it too, sometimes- i haven't watched him much, but i did take note of when he Made Sure to bring jaiden along with him on a cucurucho quest. and basically every interaction he had with bad when the eggs were missing. its just so so good

I SURVIVED. Exams are all done for the next bit. Data collection is also very soon for my research project so I’ll need to prepare for that! My top priority though are the papers for my electives which are due this and next week… those things will fly by and there’s just a month left before summer yipeeee☀️
