Fine, I’ll say it.
People making Narcissa a lesbian (real) are sleeping on making Lucius a trans woman.
LIKE HEAR ME OUT
They loved each other imo alright and I think mtf Lucius would eats! 😭
And like the angst of being the only child of the Malfoy so she got so much responsibility on her so she never even let those thoughts exist. BUT NARCISSA’S FEELS IT. Yk the people (happened to me) that are like damn maybe I like man ig?? And then turn out they never were a man? That 🫵
Anyway I think in a canon divergent universe I think they would be the cutest sapphic couple and NARCISSA COULD HELP HER PICK DRESSES AND EVERYTHING it would be so cute I need someone to write a fic and make art and 😞☝️

Here we go anon! Since you didn’t specify it, I made it a non despair au, I hope that’s okay with you.
Animator Kokichi is grumpy and I love him
Relationships: Kokichi Ouma & Rantaro Amami & Kaede Akamatsu
Words: 1.8k
Rating: T (for language)
Warnings: None
N/A: Upon @screeching-starz‘s request, Kaede is also switched; she’s the ultimate musician (Ibuki’s talent).
Kokichi counts the minutes to himself as he watches the three students blabbering at him; he isn’t really listening to them – honestly, listening to an imaginary clock ticking in his head is far more interesting than anything his underclassmen have to say.
He makes a point of checking his nails disinterestedly, jaw cracking into a wide yawn. The three finally pause the excited yapping, glancing between themselves before looking at Kokichi with uncertainty.
“Oh, are you guys finished? Man, I really thought you guys would keep going for an entire hour!” He grinned with a cheerfulness that looked too sharp on his lips. “You did manage to go over fifteen minutes, though. I’m impressed by you guys’ score!”
The more Kokichi spoke, more the other students grew with restlessness. It took all of his willpower not to laugh when he saw one of them, a boy with a horrendously bright hair, elbow his friend so she would be forced to step forward. Her pigtails swished as she wiped her head to glare at her friends, then back to him with a smile.
“Uh, sorry, we don’t really understand what… You’re talking about. Are we being a bother?” She finally said, her overly sweet voice grating on Kokichi’s nerves.
He almost let out a cutting remark about how looking cute doesn’t really hide her ugly personality, but he held back. Kokichi wasn’t exactly in the mood to be called a hypocrite, on top of the general annoyance that just being in school was.
Instead, he chuckles and tilts his head.
“Usually people realize I don’t really care about what they have to say in less than five minutes,” he explains, blinking innocently.
The girl is suddenly stunned into silence; her other friend, however, with stern, serious face that gave off the most irritating “proper” aura, didn’t seem to take it too well.
“Don’t you think it’s more than a little rude to be so dismissive when someone is showing interest in your talent?” Proper Boy asks, arms crossed.
He’s way taller than Kokichi is, towering over him in way that would be intimidating, if Kokichi was bothered to give more than a singular fuck.
“What, you want me to pretend this is fun, instead? Well, too bad, I don’t feel like it!” Proper Boy clenches his jaw, and Kokichi doesn’t miss how Bright Hair holds Cutesy by her arm to hold her back.
That’s more interesting than anything they’ve said in the past eighteen minutes.
“Sorry for bothering you, we’ll be going,” Bright Hair says quickly, dragging both of his friends away from Kokichi.
He hears the girl spit out under her breath how ungrateful Kokichi is, the others agreeing with annoyed mumbles of their own.
He yawns again.
“Seriously, are you on a quest to be the Ultimate ass as well as animator?” Someone suddenly says from directly behind Kokichi, who swirls around without much of a fuss, recognizing the voice with ease.
“Oh, you know how it is, I can’t lose my title of number annoyance!” He smiles. “What about you though, sneaking behind me and listening to my conversations in secret… Don’t be a pervert, Amami-chan, that’s gross!” Kokichi sticks his tongue out at said boy, making a disgusted face.
Amami raises his hands in innocence.
“I wasn’t doing anything suspicious like that. I was just wondering what poor soul you were torturing this time when you took so long,” he casually explained, raising a lunch box he was holding in his right hand to dangle it before Kokichi’s eyes.
He stared at it, hunger abruptly making itself known.
“Did my dear Amami-chan bring me food? How thoughtful of you!” The animator didn’t waste time in jumping at it, holding the box protectively to his chest.
Amami wasn’t all that bothered, leaning down to ruffle his hair; Kokichi swatted at his hand in irritation, cheeks puffed out.
“You always steal my food anyways, might as well make some for you.” Amami gestured for Kokichi to start walking, probably in the direction of the roof, where they usually ate together with Akamatsu. His friend eyed him with a clear undertone of disapproval. “Besides, you’ll just forget about eating if I don’t give it to you. Did you even bring anything today?”
“Of course I did, I have Panta and a whole bag of candy!” Kokichi protested, though his focus was on opening his lunch box and checking its contents.
Amami raised a skeptical eyebrow.
“Soda and candy aren’t actual food, you sugar addict.” He sighs.
Kokichi is too busy eating to reply to that; not only that, but he doesn’t feel like discussing his unhealthy eating habits again.
“So, what’s up with all those kids?” Amami asked, as the animator already expected he would.
“Oh, you know,” he mumbled through his mouthful of rice. At the glare he gets from Amami for that, Kokichi pointedly chews on his food and swallows it down before speaking again. “Just the usual ‘wahh, I heard you’re animator, that’s amazing!’. I think one of them said something about drawing stick figures, and what anime did I like. Boring stuff like that.”
Amami chuckles sheepishly, scratching his cheek.
“I mean, it wasn’t that bad, right? At least they didn’t ask you to draw something for them this time.” He shrugged.
“That’s a really low bar, Amami-chan.” Kokichi huffed. “It’s boring, I don’t wanna talk to them.”
“You don’t want to talk to anybody,” Amami points out.
“Exactly! My dear Amami-chan understands me so well, that’s why I love you!” He bats his eyelids cutely, though the effect is probably lessened by food all over his face.
“Yeah, yeah. Don’t go and become a complete shut-in, you already look like a vampire.” He eyed Kokichi’s pale skin, who pouted in response.
“My skin is delicate and beautiful, you’re just jealous of it.”
The conversation trailed off into silence, which didn’t particularly bother the animator. Honestly, he preferred it to stay that way, since he could see the pensive expression his friend always got right before breaking into some ‘serious conversation’ about the latest thing Kokichi did to worry him.
Amami worried too much, really.
They get as far as the last flight of stairs without any words being said, enough to fool Kokichi into thinking he’s off the hook this time. But then, Amami grips his wrist, stopping the animator in his track. He pulls away from the sudden touch, his friend wincing as he easily lets go.
“Hey, so. How is your animation going?” He asked, way too casual to be actually casual.
“I restarted it,” Kokichi deadpans, sounding bored by the question.
“Oh, that’s a lot of work to redo,” he commented.
“Yup.”
Amami opened his mouth to say something, but was abruptly cut off by quick footsteps approaching them and, soon enough, a girl crashed right in the boy’s back. She groaned in pain.
“That’s one way to greet someone,” Amami said with a chuckle.
“What are you doing standing around on the stairs, geez…” The girl whined. Akamatsu, with her stupidly colorful outfit, turned to Kokichi with a smile. “Are you guys having a secret party?”
The smaller boy rolled his eyes, while Amami laughed.
“Nah, I was just having a talk with Ouma,” the green haired boy said, giving Akamatsu a meaningful look, who returned it. Amami made a not so subtle gesture of the head towards Kokichi.
Seriously, what do they think they’re doing, he’s literally right there.
“Ko-chan, Ko-chan! So, how are you doing?” Akamatsu asked excitedly, approaching Kokichi and making grabby hands at him. “You haven’t been to school for a whole week, I missed you!”
The girl had way too much enthusiasm and honesty for Kokichi to handle even on a good day.
“Akamatsu-chan really can’t live without me, huh? You’re like a reverse slut. A love slut.”
Despite his words, Kokichi opened his arms and let Akamatsu hug the breath out of him. Over her shoulder, he looked at Amami for help, making sure all of his pain is apparent in his face. The boy just gives him a thumbs up.
Traitor.
“I already told you to call me Kaede!” She immediately says upon realizing him. The musician managed to have more pent up energy than Kokichi has, which never ceased to amaze him.
How anyone kept up with her songs were beyond him.
“Ok, Akamatsu-chan,” he sarcastically replied.
Akamatsu pouted, walking to Amami and whining to him about how Kokichi wouldn’t show her any affection, and he rubbed her back in sympathy.
“Our son is such a mean little man, even though we raised him so well,” Amami said to her, sniffling exaggeratedly.
Kokichi throws his chopsticks at him, hitting Amami square on the face.
Score.
“You two are annoying, seriously.”
Akamatsu looked at the red marks on her taller friend’s cheek left by the chopsticks.
“A mean little man indeed.”
Kokichi was ready to hit her with the entire lunchbox, but she turned back to him with a soft, but firm eyes. Oh, it’s scolding time. Great.
“Did you collapse again?” She asked with a worried voice. The animator didn’t reply, raising an eyebrow in fake confusion. “Don’t give me that face, you know what I’m talking about. You promised to come to school more often, then you disappear for a whole week without saying anything. I was worried sick, you know.”
He smiles, tilting his head slightly to the side.
“You’re such a worrywart, Akamatsu-chan! I just got sooo engrossed with the animation, I didn’t even realize the time! Besides, you really shouldn’t so easily believe someone just because they promise something, that’s stupid.”
Akamatsu obviously looked put off by the last part, but Amami wasn’t fazed, offering him a wry smile.
“You’re a difficult person,” Kokichi snorted, “to put it simply. But you don’t promise things you don’t actually mean.”
Oh, he noticed that, huh. Look at that, it’s time to change the subject.
“Like I said, you two worry too much, I’m fine!” He gestured to himself. “See? All good!”
Akamatsu and Amami exchanged a look, sighing in unison.
“Okay, if you say so.” The other boy said, his words stopping the musician, who looked like she had more to say. “C’mon, I’ll buy you grape juice so you don’t drown your blood in soda.”
Both Akamatsu and Kokichi whine at the same time.
“After going all the way up the stairs?” He complained.
“I’ll buy you two boxes of juice,” Amami bargained.
“Can I have strawberry milk?” Akamatsu asks.
“Yeah, sure,” the tall boy replies, getting a cheer from Akamatsu for it.
Kokichi, who clearly has no other choice but to follow them – especially when Akamatsu is looking at him with puppy eyes –, sighs and resigns himself to put up with their pestering.
Only because he’s being forced to, of course.

Ted Lasso and Other TV Bosses We’d Walk Over Hot Coals For
https://ift.tt/3ryGOvx
In the heady moments of celebration after England’s victory over Denmark in this year’s Euros semi-final, the sight of team manager Gareth Southgate prompted ITV pundit Gary Neville to comment: “The standard of leaders in this country the past couple of years has been poor. Looking at that man, he’s everything a leader should be: respectful, humble, he tells the truth.”
The former Man U right-back’s words, directed at the political rulers of a country riven by Brexit, tap into a modern craving for decency. Fed a diet of self-serving narcissism from our public figures, we hunger for more wholesome fare: moral character, humility, honesty, kindness. In the year of horrors that was 2020, that appetite was temporarily sated on TV by fictional football manager Ted Lasso.
Played in the Apple TV series by Jason Sudeikis (who, in true Ted style, wore a shirt to the Ted Lasso season two launch in support of the three young Black England footballers who received racist abuse after their team’s eventual loss to Italy in the final), Ted’s thoroughgoing decency won everyone over to The Lasso Way. He’s the gold standard of TV bosses – selfless, caring, wise, inspirational, and patiently dedicated to bringing out the best in his players and the team as a whole. He may not always win on the pitch, but he always wins in our hearts. And if those words make you want to heave, then you, friend, may just need a little more Lasso in your life. #Believe.
To celebrate his return, we present Ted’s TV peers, the bosses for whom you’d go any number of extra miles.
Leslie Knope – Parks & Recreation
There is no finer example set in the TV workplace than Leslie Barbara Knope. The Pawnee public servant leads from the front, the sides and the back. She’s the waffle-powered sheepdog of City Hall, yapping co-workers and townsfolk into shape with her relentless work ethic and bottomless optimism. Leslie’s a boss who cares so much that she’s already bought your Christmas gift. And your birthday gift. And made you a special hand-crafted gift to mark the half-year anniversary of the day you first met. She sleeps three hours a night, runs entirely on sugar (or should that be salgar?), has a binder for every eventuality, and always, always has your back. Her rubber-soled energy is so infectious that over seven seasons she even manages to motivate the lazy (Tom), disaffected (April), dumb (Andy), aloof (Donna), hapless (Jerry) and the downright obstructive (Ron). For a gal named ‘nope’, she’s a whole lot of yes. LM
Bertram Cooper – Mad Men
Technically, advertising firm Sterling Cooper on Mad Men has two bosses – Roger Sterling and Bertram Cooper. Coop, however, is the let’s say…more experienced of the two and takes on the role of boss. And what a boss he is! The eccentric office sage played by Robert Morse takes a decidedly hands off approach to managing the workplace. Do whatever you want in this Madison Avenue ad agency, as long as you take your shoes off when you enter Bert’s office. And if you’re nice enough he might show you his collection of erotic octopus art. AB
Jacqueline Carlyle – The Bold Type
The Editor-In-Chief of Scarlet magazine, the women’s title at the heart of ridiculous millennial wish fulfillment vehicle The Bold Type is part mentor, part mother figure, part fairy godmother to the three young women at the centre of the show. Jane is an intern when she first meets Jacqueline, who greets her with “Are you a writer? You look like a writer.” Because, yep, it really is that easy to get a job at a top magazine. The Bold Type is nonsense but it’s very good hearted nonsense which tries in earnest to tackle big issues while maintaining a sunny outlook. Be yourself, be passionate, be bold, the show says, and the world is at your feet. Sent a couple of tweets? Congratulations, have a promotion! Threatened with a lawsuit because of something you wrote? No bother, have a promotion! Fraudulently passed yourself off as a stylist when you’re not, thereby ruining a key relationship? Meh. Promotion for you! Promotions all round! Jacqueline is glamorous and wise, endlessly patient with her proteges and seemingly in possession of a bottomless budget. We all wish we worked for Jacqueline and she’s a wonderful (imaginary) role model. We’re just slightly nervous for any young fans of the show who ever get to work for an actual, real life Editor-In-Chief… RF
Mr. Krabs – SpongeBob SquarePants
Mr. Krabs is a good boss because he’s refreshingly upfront about what matters to him. Simply put: the crab likes money. As long as you’re putting in the hours and keeping the profit margins fat, Mr. Krabs will be your best friend. Sure, he takes advantage of SpongeBob’s naivete from time to time. But deep down, you know the guy has a heart as big as his enormous whale daughter, Pearl. AB
Supt. Ted Hastings – Line of Duty
Think of Ted Hastings, head of Central Police’s Anti-Corruption Unit 12, as Ulysses – a man sailing on dangerous waters but so determined not to be seduced by the sirens’ song that he’s tied himself to the ship’s mast and stopped his ears with wax. Except replace ‘siren’s song’ with ‘bungs from criminal gangs’, and ‘ship’s mast’ and ‘wax’ with ‘sheer force of will, son’. Ted’s a colossus of integrity in a world of backhanders and turning-a-blind-eye. He does the right thing even when it’s the hard thing, and if you’re one of his officers, then you’re his for life. (Unless you’re a corrupt gangster plant, in which case, by Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey, he’ll never live down the shame.) Ted may have more decency in his side-parting than most officers have in their whole bodies, but he still has his flaws. The stock he puts in loyalty makes him inflexible, and his temper’s a thing to be seen, but the key thing about Ted as a leader is that when he makes a mistake, he owns up to it. We should all be so lucky to have a gaffer like him. LM
Ron Donald – Party Down
Starz’s brilliant comedy Party Down premiered around the same time as classic NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. As such, Ken Marino’s perpetually stressed boss character Ron Donald didn’t get nearly as much attention as another boss named Ron: Ron Swanson. Let’s be clear, however, nobody would want Ron Swanson as a boss because that means you’d have to regularly interact with a libertarian. Instead, it’s far better to be in the good graces of Ron Donald. This Ron will support your dreams all the while telling you about his own to own a Souper Crackers franchise. AB

Lynda Day – Press Gang
Bit of of a niche one – you probably have to be British and in your 40s to even know who this is – but Lynda Day, played by Julia Sawalha deserves a mention as the youngest boss on the list. Editor of the Junior Gazette, the after school newspaper run by pupils at the heart of Steven Moffat’s very first show she’s an erudite journalist, a ruthless news hound and a self possessed young woman who cares more about being right than about being liked. Lynda isn’t particularly soft or warm but she is a boss who would make you a better writer. You’d strive to please Lynda, want to live up to her incredibly high standards and know that the work you were doing on the paper could actually make a difference. Lynda is all about work ethic and integrity. Small of frame, sharp of tongue, you wouldn’t wanna mess with her, but you know she’ll get shit done. RF
Captain Holt – Brooklyn 99
It says something about a boss when you wouldn’t just walk over hot coals for them, you would also do it for their pet dog. Cheddar the corgi is just one of many reasons to snap your sharpest salute to Captain Raymond “Do Not Call Me Ray Or Use Contractions In My Presence” Holt. Precinct captain of the 99, Holt is a walking yardstick of fine taste, good manners, linguistic clarity and grammatical coherence. Holt values simplicity and despises vulgarity. Do your job and do it right, and you will earn his hard-won respect, perhaps indicated by a very slight incline of the head if he is feeling frivolous. Holt has already earned your respect, for leading an exemplary career as an openly gay NYC cop since 1987, facing down racists, homophobes and the lowest of the low: people who use “What’s up?” as a greeting. Captain Holt’s impossibly high standards are a bar few reach, but to which we can all aspire. LM
Ian Grimm and Poppy Li – Mythic Quest
Mythic Quest creative directors Ian Grimm (Rob McElhenney) and Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) are messes on their own. But when their personalities combine, they create one great boss unit who keeps things moving and keeps things lively. Granted, I wouldn’t want to work for Ian and Poppy as a programmer or dev on the Mythic Quest team because crunch is real (and I also have no such skills). They would make for a great boss team in just about any other industry though. AB
DCI Cassie Stuart – Unforgotten
Some bosses try to impress their status on employees by turning up the volume, but not DCI Cassie Stuart. Everything she does in ITV police drama Unforgotten, from case meetings to suspect interrogations, she does in the same controlled, low voice. It gives her words an intensity that shouting wouldn’t achieve and makes her cold-case murder team lean in to absorb the significance of what she’s saying. Usually, that’s on the theme of how they owe victims answers and are going to find them. Diligent and dedicated, she trusts her team, especially partner Sunny, and is the kind of boss whose praise really means something. A ‘good work’ from her and you’d be walking on air. LM
Conan O’Brien – Conan
This is technically violating the spirit of this thought exercise because Conan O’Brien is not fictional. What he is, however, is a boss…in both the metaphorical and literal sense of the word. No late night talk show host has ever reveled in being the boss of a staff as much as Conan O’Brien has on his shows like Late Night, The Tonight Show, and Conan. He views his role as boss as an opportunity to troll his employees like a corny father torturing his children with dad jokes. Many of Conan’s behind the scenes workers have become stars in their own right, like producer Jordan Schlansky or assistant Sona Movessian. And it’s all because Conan can’t help but want everyone to be involved and having a good time. Just like any great boss would want. AB
Captain Janeway – Star Trek Voyager
Anyone can be a good boss in a thriving workplace, but it takes a person of strong character to stay empathetic, decisive, and focused when everything goes to hell. In the very first episode of Star Trek: Voyager, Captain Janeway is stranded with her crew on the wrong side of the galaxy, 70,000 light years from home. She is tasked with getting not only her Starfleet crew home, but also the remaining members of the Maquis vessel Voyager was trying to capture when they were both pulled into the unexplored Delta quadrant. She does this all without the institutional support of the Federation, and without the certainty that they will ever make it back. It’s not always pretty, and Janeway makes some questionable decisions along the way, but it’s hard to imagine Voyager making it home without Janeway as their tough-as-nails boss. KB

I’m in love with the “what if you start as a baby animagus and need to grow into an adult” marauders headcanons
BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE: what if it’s something that they didn’t knew was a thing because you’re not supposed to become animagus until you’re literally an adult AND SO IT HAPPENED BCS THEY DID IT SO EARLY
Their scrawny little 16 years old ass transforming and realizing they’re not grown animals and being so confused but not having anyone to turn too because they literally can’t ask without being suspicious.
Looking through the one books they have on transformation and this never being mentioned so they’re just absolutely at post of what to do.
IMAGINE A BABY PADFOOT RUNNING AROUND HOGWARTS
Once they tell Remus he kinds of figure it out and they’re like well. I guess?
(Which is also making me think of baby werewolf Remus? Gonna end it all.)

16- Bellatrix Black (her and Rita end up hooking up and after they’re found out she get ejected from the competition lol), 17- Damocles Belby, 18- Rose Rosmerta, 19- Stephen Gould, 20- Amycus Carrow
21- Edgard Bones or Amelia Bones, 22- Gilderoy Lockarts, 23- Lucius Malfoy, 24- Ignatus Prewett, 25- Myrtle Warren
It’s over the duration of a couple of weeks. They start not knowing each other’s at all.
I would probably play with the ages a little because otherwise it would be weird if most people are the same age lmao.
They all live in the same place for who knows how long so they form deep relationships. Some people fall in love along the way. Regulus and Sirius heal their relationship. Shit get messy when the families are invited.
It would literally be so fun… I can’t write it guys I have so many other project going on 😭😭 but like also I want too..

【 Mary & Lily: 】
Meeting
For me, Mary and Lily actually meet for the first time at the train station.
Mary’s parents had to drop her off quickly to go take care of some other stuff and she was looking lost, trying to figure out how to get to the platform (not unlike Harry in the first movie).
Lily and Severus had been dropping together by Lily’s parents -who were adamant about walking her off, but she told them to go back as she was shy and didn’t wanna make Petunia more mad at her than she was- and so after a long embrace, Sev and her grabbed a cart and started walking together toward the right wall, as Severus knew the basics since his mom was a wizard.
With her lovely energy and bright smile, Mary accosted them when she noticed the familiars books and such in their cart and asked for directions. Severus could boast about his knowledge of the wizarding world and so the two girls ran after him, half giggling, half anxious, as they walked through a wall.
Upon seeing the train, they said goodbye, Lily knowing Severus wasn’t fond of strangers, and went to sit in different carriages.
(As we know that’s what when Severus and Lily meets James and it is not great, so they end up storming out)
They then looked for an empty carriage and after many full ones, were finally welcomed by a brightly smiling Marry, who invited them in. During the train ride, Severus was mostly silent, not comfortable with strangers, but made an effort to answer when Lily would include him in the conversation. For Mary and Lily, it was instant friendship! They realized they lived quite close by actually, Mary living in the next town, and that they liked most of the same things. Although Mary was more into fashion, and Lily into books, they found a common interest in cooking & baking, as well as in a curiosity for the world, now definitely concentrated on this entire new place.
Once they were sorted, the girls were so happy they were together, and when they got to their dorm, they chose beds next to each other.
The first night was scary for them, and in a weird attempt to comfort, they decided to put their beds next to each other. They did not move those beds for the next 4 years.
Dynamic
They’re very fem4fem. Lily is more a bookworm introvert, Mary more of a life of the party extrovert, but they both have moments where they need the entire world to be quiet.
Lily like to learn through books and research and movies, meanwhile Mary prefer to learn through lived experiences and exploring. If they were to plan a trip, Lily would be the one planning their itinerary to a T and Mary would be more go with the flow. Sometimes Lily forget to calculate how time a normal person takes to walk, eat and all. Mary always make sure the timing is right, even if that means skipping a few of the things planned. After a while, Lily would learn to put gaps and pieces and space between each step, and Mary would make sure Lily can see everything she wanted to see.
During the summer, they would both sleepovers to each other’s places for Weeks at the time. Cooking & baking, enjoying the sun and frolicking around in pretty dresses. They would stay up late and giggle until their parents told them to be quiet, then they would keep talking but under the pillows.
Angst
They end up disagreeing about how to take on the war, and even though they try to stay close, they simply grow very fast into different people. A few months after Harry is born, they end up growing closer again, but never make it to where they were before. Maybe they could have, if Lily didn’t die.
I also really like the idea (saw it on tiktok) that Mary end up fighting with Lily over Severus views when he starts to say his bullshit and they have a time where they’re really cold and distant because of it. Once Lily finally drop Severus, it comes to an end and they manage to go back to how they were very quickly, as they just missed each other so much.
Their song:
They listened to it one hot summer day while laying on the floor in Mary’s room, the radio next to them, and it hold a special place in their heart; bringing them back to this moment. That was the song of their second summer, always trying to find a radio post that would play Danny's Song.

【 Marlene & Mary: 】
Meeting
They actually meet in the line for the sorting hat, as they came out one after the other, and so ended up sitting next to each other for the meal since people made space for them at the same time. They talked a little and you can see a relationship bubbling, but at that time, Marlene is really struggling with befriending girls and so it doesn’t really goes anywhere.
Their relationship strengthens when they discover they’re roommates, but Marlene is mostly spending time with James and Pete those firsts months of first year and so Lily & Mary really get close and she doesn’t really know how to include herself.
Dynamic
They’re very masc4fem. I think around second year, Marlene develop a little bit of a girl crush on Mary but never really act on it (and doesn’t even realize it really? She just think she’s jealous because she wanna be Mary bestest friend yk) and so it pass without affecting their relationship. Lily and Mary really teach Marlene like, girl friendship. The sleepovers, the giggling and gossiping, judging the boys because they’re immature, etc. Mary especially is the one that really introduce her to makeup and teach her, as she’s learning herself, which make them have some.. interesting looks.
After Mary date Sirius, they love making fun of him for that, because he was an awful boyfriend, and don’t hesitate to bring it up every time they want something (it works sometimes).
Marlene teach Mary how to fly on a broom, and she loves it, but not enough to join the team. They often go for rides on the weekend while Lily is studying. Once Mary manage to get them a mini radio and they figure out a spell to get signal, they attach it to Mary’s broom and spend hours in the sky listening to music and talking about everything.
One night, Marlene was crying about some family issues and Mary just joined her in her bed and gave her a hug before putting on a silencing charm as to not awaken Lily, they didn’t talk that night, but Marlene fell asleep holding onto Mary.
I think Mary develop a little bit of a crush on Marlene once she starts to express herself more. When she dye her hair, Mary start behaving weird but quickly get it together before it fuck over their relationship. There’s always the what if, but once they grow up, they realize they wouldn’t have worked out together and probably would have lost years of friendship along the way, so it is for the best.
Marlene and Mary stays quite close even with the war, as Marlene got a harder time trusting Dumbledore and really doesn’t wanna lose her friend. Mary on her side doesn’t feel as strongly about Marlene joining because she understand that this is fully her world and she can’t leave it behind, so the riff is less intense. When they talk, they don’t really mention the war or the order, but Marlene update Mary on how Lily is going.
Mary was the first person Marlene told when she thought about asking Dorcas to move in together, and Mary had to hype her up so she doesn’t choke and never address it lol
They would often go for tea time, Marlene introducing Mary to the wizard version and she loved it! They tried to go at least once every 2-3 months, even after they left Hogwarts. Marlene loved the cucumber sandwiches, they were her favourite, and Mary hated them, so the other girl always had double the portion because of it.
Mary brings back rollerblade one summer, and she end up teaching Marlene who becomes Obsessed with them. Mary brings her a pair as a gift after winter break, and they start racing each other’s in the corridors. Rollerblade are quickly put on the DO NOT list, by Minerva.
Angst
They don’t have much angst for me. They mostly go through school supporting each other’s. If they disagreed on something they would just not address it, and so other than very minor situations, they didn’t fight at all in the entire time they knew each other’s. Mary was there for Marlene when she was sad about her family, even though she didn’t have much context because Marlene wouldn’t really say why she was crying; and Marlene would support Mary through the rough patch with Lily and the bullying by Mulciber and Barty. The blonde would start hexing people on her behalf after 5-6 year, going to detention with a grin.
Mary was one of the last person Marlene saw before her death, and she was the first person -after the order- that Dorcas called to break the news before the papers can get a hold of the story.
Every few months, Mary would go to Marlene grave with tea and biscuits and sandwiches and eat there while telling her about her last news. She would always leave her a cucumber sandwich.
Their song:
It was literally changing all the time, depending on their vibe and how they felt about each other’s. Every summer and winter break Mary would come back with a new album and they would find their favourite out of it. One of their favourite to sing thought was Mr. Big Stuff because they would always sing it to Sirius lmao

【 Lily & Marlene: 】
Meeting
They met in their dorms room. At first, they both didn’t reach out to the others, realizing they were way too different, and so most the first year was spent as just them being agreeable roommates.
Lily thought Marlene was kind of overwhelming and also friend with the marauders so she didn’t really have a good opinion of her, and Marlene thought Lily was just a little teacher pet, always in her books and super boring.
Toward the end of first year, Lily stood up against a Slytherin as Marlene was passing by and that made her realize there was maybe more to Lily Evans than she knew. She helped her escape before a teacher could see her and pushing her for hexing a student, and from there on they were on way more friendly terms.
When they came back for second year, Marlene couldn’t sit with James and Peter since the marauders sat together and so as she was looking for another spot, Mary and Lily invited her to sit with them (and Severus). They had a nice train ride back and in the end started the year on a way better note. They grew really closer in the second year.
Dynamic
For me, even though they’re really opposite, they have a lot of similarities. They both have family expectations to reach and a lot of pressure to do good in class, even though they have a very different studying technique. Marlene doesn’t need to revise all that much, but sometimes towards final she would sit with Lily and help her study by talking about the subject with her.
They didn’t really have an academic rivalry, as the subjects Marlene was getting the best scores in were really different from Lily’s; both being more interested in different classes.
They weren’t the closest, but they had an understanding of each other’s that Mary sometimes didn’t fully understand. When one of them would receive a letter from their family, they would often divert the attention of the group so the others can read in piece, or escape to not cry in public.
They never got really emotional with each other’s, mostly venting angrily than getting sad. Lily actually had more context on why Marlene was crying than Mary, even though Mary was the one seeing Marlene cry.
They grew closer when the war happened, both being in the order, but Lily had a deeper belief in Dumbledore than Marlene.
They were each other’s first kiss, but never told anyone and kept the secret to their graves (lol). It just happened one day when they were like 12 and curious and it was the smallest peck ever. It was basically an accident as they fell on the floor and kissed on the way down. They both never talked about it, and acted as if nothing happened.
Lily would always bully Marlene for being friend with James, and she wouldn’t really have anything to say for her defence because James grew super obnoxious after meeting Sirius.
Marlene invited Lily to her house one summer, and the red haired developed a summer crush on her older brother. She would always ask Marlene to talk about him in letters after that and the other girl would always make a show of being disgusted. By the time summer rolled over, Lily had gotten bored and so it ended as that. (She still, however, has the quidditch magazines and posters of him that she bought hiding under her bed, including one that she forced Marlene to ask her brother to sign for her)
Angst
There really don’t really have school angst.
Lily was devastated after Marlene death and was really out of it for a while after that. She’s the one who had to organize the funeral because Dorcas was so out of it. For a week, the black girl lived at their house and they would sleep in the same bed talking about Marlene. After the funeral, Lily never went to the cemetery again.
Their song:
They would sing Jolene ironically to each other’s all the time. The first time they heard the song they thought it was funny because Jolene kind of sounded like Marlene and the auburn hair could be Lily. The moment the song would start playing they were on the dance floor singing to the other. Sometimes they would point at Mary or James, joking that the other was taking them away.

Extra headcanons
☆ Roommates
☆ Thigh knitted group, wouldn’t let a man destroy their relationship.
☆ All equally friends but with completely different dynamics, if you asked them who their best friends was, Mary and Lily would probably say each other’s and Marlene would say Pete. That doesn’t mean that Marlene doesn’t feel included in the trio. Sometimes she jokes that she’s Marylily kids, when they had a big argument, she Really felt like a child of divorce.
☆ They would have sleepover parties every Saturday, because Sunday was the day Lily would take the afternoon off from studying. They would get food from the kitchen and play Mary’s record player. Sometimes they played cards, others than would braid each other’s hair or play with Mary’s makeup.
☆ Sometimes Lily would read them a story and Mary and Marlene would sit and listen entranced. That was when Lily would be fully confident, making different voices, moving her arms, she was spectacular to see. How much life there was in this adorable little red haired girl.
☆ The numbers were off and so they got one of the three person room. The last bed was used as a bazar and the closest was used by Mary who would always bring extra clothes so she could lend them to Lily and Marlene. The bed was full of books and art projects and random class reports (Marlene).
☆ In first year, Mary had asked the house elves to not clean their room because it made her feel weird, and so they would spend the morning of Sunday just cleaning up so the room would have a fresh start for the new week. Lily was the one making sure it would be done, Mary and Marlene would complain, but end up doing it while playing music and talking about the week to come.
☆ Marlene got really into Ancient Greece mythology after Lily brought back a book and would read only the parts about the girls, skipping all the rest. She especially cared for Medusa and Hated Zeus. Mary had little interest but sometimes Lily would told her some story so she wasn’t fully out of the loop. They all became Zeus haters and even made a club as a joke.
☆ After the marauders gave themselves a stupid name, they were all having one of their sleepovers and judging how stupid it sounded. Marlene said she would be way better at naming them if they let her, only to propose the shittiest name known to men. After making fun of her, Mary and Lily also gave it a try. They thought it was kind of fun and the conversation shifted to band names and so the three of them thought about how they would name their band; because, of course, they would be together. After a few fails, Marlene had the best, for the only time in her life, name idea, and said “The Valkyries!!!”. Lily quickly gave a definition of them, and Mary sprung herself from the ground to jump because it was a great name. They never said it to anyone, but secretly they would call themselves the Valkyries.
☆ When Lily discovered Abba one summer, she immediately showed Mary and they spent the summer saving up money to buy records player to bring back for Marlene. She Loved it and it became their music of choice anytime they would organize a party. Their favourite song was Honey, Honey because it was the first one they spent endless afternoons dancing to.

Thinking about Sybill slowly losing grasp on time because she keeps being projected in the future and so at some point past, future and present becomes all tangled together. Sometimes she sees Harry and think it’s James, sees Luna and talks to her like it’s Pandora. She can never fully be sure she’s conscious or not.
Of course it gets worst once she start drinking after Umbrige remove her from her post, now her life simply a tornado of faces and feelings she can’t put her hand on. The visions coming and going without her being able to say it’s one, save the acute pain and deep freezing sensation.
