the following events are what i believe to have happened before this timeline began: spencer and ethan had a small (non-sexual) romance in college which is the real reason why they hadn't spoken in years, spencer is a virgin, lila archer events did occur, however i do not believe he had real feelings for her, he was just doing his job (i do think he enjoyed the kiss though, because who wouldn't)

ToApril is once again upon us! Can you believe this is the third year this is taking place?

At this point we will assume everybody gets the concept of ToApril, but if you don’t, don’t hesitate to reach out! 

Before we jump right into it, we want to emphasize the rules of toapril:

Please keep it TOA related. You can use characters from other series or your own, but the prompts were made with the characters of TOA in mind.

No NSFW. There are adults and minors alike participating and definitely browsing the internet within the fandom. Mature topics can be brought up, but anything graphic is not allowed.

Note: None of the prompts are ship based, but you are definitely allowed to include  ships!

If you write a fic on ao3, please put it in the toapril 2024 collection. If you’re not sure how to do that, here are some instructions:

Option1: Go to the collection. There should be a button at the top right saying ‘post to collection’. Click that button and the rest should be as it would normally be when you post a fic.

SPECIAL NOTE: Obviously there are a number of ways to interpret this theme, especially along isekai lines, and we’re happy to see all of them. However, for this issue, we’d especially like to encourage submissions that are “entangled” with other SSBB stories and art. One way to do this is to come back to older pieces — rewriting a story from a different character’s point of view, writing a story based on a standalone illustration, or creating a radically different version of a story or illustration that already exists in our archives. Another way is to team up with other creators for this issue on completely new pieces and either collaborate on a single submission or create two (or more!) submissions that work as counterparts to one another.

This is a combo fuck managers + asking for advice.

I have restrictions on my availability and on my end, I've done everything properly as far as I know. I filled out an availability adjustment form and turned it into the turn in folder and my manager verbally confirmed with me that she received my adjusted availability. That was in October of 2023. I have not changed my availability since then.

I submitted my availability on October 15. Almost immediately after, my manager (after seeing my availability form and verbally confirmed it with me) scheduled me on a day I was unavailable for that very next week. October 28 was a Saturday, which I am unavailable all day for. I left a sternly worded note for my manager (as she was not at work that day) and attached it to the schedule, saying I would not come in for that shift. Someone else covered the shift.

The very next week on November 3, my manager scheduled me half an hour past my availability. I left early that day on principle, after informing the scheduled lead of the situation.

Then for about 3 months, she did the schedule perfectly, as far as my availability goes. Every shift was well within my available days and times.

Then 2 weeks in a row, she scheduled me to open on days I could not come in that early for. February 19 and February 26. I immediately resubmitted my availability on February 20 just to prove my point and called out for both days.

All was good for the next month and then I get my newest schedule and on April 5 she has scheduled me half an hour past my available time.

Wtf am I supposed to do here? I've talked to my manager and other managers several times about this. I resubmitted my availability. I've refused to come in on the days that were outside of my availability. Wtf else am I supposed to do? The obvious answer in normal situations would be to talk to HR, but my store doesn't have on-site HR so I'd have to email them, which is something I'd have to do on my personal time, as non-managers are not given company email addresses. I've also heard from old coworkers that contacting HR is kind of pointless, because they never respond to emails. And non-management employees are not given the contact information for the district manager, so I can't go over her head, and even if I somehow got his info, I'm worried it'll bite me in the ass.
