bdsm classification au? kind of like a/b/o dynamics but instead of being born as one of those dynamics, everyone is born as a type of dom, sub, or neutral/switch that is revealed when they are old enough?
so like some people are born as caretakers, littles, owners, pets, or other d/s dynamics (and then ofc there are some people who are a switch)
sub dabi joining up with the league to fight for sub rights alongside their cannon ideals type beat :p
So there are some immediate problems I'm seeing with this AU as set up in this ask. First of which is: I don't do traditional ABO because I think the fantasy sexism that is applied to Omegas is very unpleasant and I avoid it in my writing at all costs. Applying that sexism to a BSDM AU is extremely concerning as one of the biggest red flags in BDSM is if a Dom thinks they're better than a Sub outside of negotiated play. On that principle alone, this AU will be an extreme departure from this ask.
Additionally, I don't think having switches in this world is a good idea. If we're going to set this to a similar framework as the Omegaverse, then it would make more sense for the 'Beta' stand-in to be people who are vanilla/don't have a dom/sub designation. By doing this we can better parallel the fact that Betas do not offer the benefits of an Alpha to an Omega, or the benefits of an Omega to an Alpha, making the need to have them categorized separately more engaging.
And finally, while breaking down these categories further into play styles is interesting, it also removes the variety that many participants engage in while playing. I've met very, very few people who want to only engage in one flavor of BDSM, and I think that ignores the fun of playing in this space!
That all being said I have an AU with what I find to be a workable concept loosely based on this ask:
Dabi is a sub, Shigaraki is a dom of course. Compress, Magne, and Toga (though her designation is somewhat up in the air due to her age, she has all the markers of being a young dom) are doms, Twice and Spinner have no designations. Given this setup, Dabi is kind of spoiled for choice with easy access to doms who can keep him stable by ensuring that he doesn't go too long without being dominated, either sexually or not. It's pretty common to find him, after a long day of work where he is in a leadership position, kneeling at Magne, Compress, or Shig's feet, or doing domestic servitude tasks to keep his mind and mood stable. He's not sleeping with any of them and told them he never would, he's not interested in becoming a collared sub (not after he saw what that did to his mother who wasn't even capable of fighting back against her dom)
Things are going pretty well on that front until Shigaraki starts to notice that Dabi's on a verge of a drop after Kamino. With everything that's happened, he needs stability and security more than he thinks he does and he's not giving himself time to find it. So Shig tells him they're going on a mission, and actually brings him to a place he found that is frequented by subs and doms looking to sate their needs as anonymously as possible. Dabi does find someone who can give him what he needs to fight his drop, and goes back to find Shigaraki, only to actually find him in the middle of a session himself where he's doming a sub in a way that makes Dabi feel like he needs it again even though he just had it.
After that, he is a little more chatty with Shig, and he asks if he's ever collared a sub before and finds out that Shigaraki was told he never should since that would give someone else power over him as well-- because collaring is supposed a mutual symbol of a dynamic and a partnership, not a way to force a sub's submission-- which is news to Dabi. Things continue to move forward and they end up with the PLF.
About halfway through his treatments, Dabi asks Shig if he's found another place like the club they'd been going to to sate their instincts, knowing that the others have just been making their way through the grunts. Shig says he hasn't but he can find somewhere safe for Dabi as he won't have a designation anymore once he goes into the tank. Dabi is horrified by this and asks why Shig would give that up when he loves being a dom, and Shig tells him that this is the path he's been told he has to take to gain more power and that, at least if he does this, he will never be vulnerable and losing his mind because he can't get to a sub if he needs them.
Dabi is pretty upset about all of this and is finally forced to come to terms with the fact that he really, really wants Duster to dom him completely, that he's been fighting it for no good reason when Shigaraki has proved a hundred times over that he won't treat him like Enji did Rei. He begs to be allowed to submit to him and they end up scening . It's perfect. Shigaraki stops his treatments, and a few months later, when the League is next on the battlefield, Dabi is seen wearing a gorgeous permanent collar.

The Calvary Has Arrived Thoughts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Omega taking the initiative to free herself and the other children shows how much she's grown.
ZILLO BEAST RAMPAGE. I love seeing the TK Troopers and scientists suffering. I wonder Hemlock's choice to send them to try to stop the literal Godzilla beast. I hope the Zillo Beast becomes the Apex Predator of Wayland.
Crosshair's trauma once again kicks in as they get in. I really like how Hunter and Wrecker refuse to let Crosshair go in alone and they'll face death together. As terrifying as the CX team is, it's creepy to know that they're a dark foil to the BB. I forgot for a moment that one of the CX Troopers cut off Crosshair's arms with my anxiety kicking into high gear. I'm also glad Tech is actually dead and not one of the CX Troopers. I really like the theory that the CX team could be Delta Squad and I really vibe with that. It would be poetic if they were in that case.
Omega’s confidence in herself and skills as she stays behind to free her brothers. Emerie Karr’s redemption was nice to see as she does everything in her power to save the children.
The Clone Rebellion or rather the Clone Prison Revolt happens! It's so satisfying seeing the Clones being able to fight back and kill those Stormtroopers. Likewise, it's horrifying some of the horrific ways some Clones are killed by the CX team.
Hemlock being stressed and frustrated is always fun to see. At that point, Tarkin is using this as an excuse to finally get control of the facility.
I love how Nala Se always planned to let herself be killed to destroy the research and prevent her knowledge from being used by the Emperor. It's a fitting end to her character who helped the Emperor get into power and for her to help frustrate the Emperor's Cloning plans. Likewise, Rampart's death is both hilarious and karmic. Kamino has been avenged.
The BB working together to survive against their dark foils is heartwarming. There are so many times one of them could've died but they all made it out. Crosshair looking at his specific dark foil in particular.
The confrontation and showdown in the rain parallels both S1 and S2’s finales (Kamino’s rain and Hemlock taking Omega) Scorch dying is so satisfying after his complicity in the crimes of the Empire against his own brothers. Scorch was also shot 5 times which was how many shots (stun that time) Scorch was taken down in S1. I love how much Hunter and Crosshair trust Omega in her plan without her saying anything other than gestures. Likewise, Hunter's trust in Crosshair to make that shot, which he did even without his hand. Omega's reunion with her brothers are everything to me. I hope the Zillo Beast (heard in the background) eats Hemlock’s corpse.
The first ISD in BB animation (outside of the tease in Tales of the Empire). Tarkin taking over the funding is so Tarkin. It's poetic that the Clones saved the galaxy by delaying Project Necromancer it's still being worked on in 9 ABY and given Palpatine's state in TROS, they did a really good job.
I'm so happy they got a happy ending. I thought we would get a bittersweet ending but it's nice to see everyone make it out. Seeing the final shot of the BB team minus Echo together on Pabu is so heartwarming. I wonder if we'll see what happens to Echo and Emerie in the future.
Older Omega and older Hunter! Omega joining the rebellion opens a lot of doors. We were robbed of seeing old Man Wrecker and Crosshair haha. I really hope the next animated show is a Starfighter one.
This show is so special to me. I'll put out a retrospective of the show one day.
"The Calvary Has Arrived!" Wrecker
Themes I noticed:
BB's theme, Omega's theme, Crosshair’s theme, CX's theme, Hemlock's theme, and the Clone's theme.

Thoughts on TBB 3x15
Here we go... one last time
SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT
Honestly thought I was going to be late to the episode but I actually work up at 8:01 am today so I am just a couple mins behind everyone else.
Am I prepared? Absolutely not.
Well that's an ominous noise. Always a good way to start 😰
The Kiner soundtrack is popping off as usual
I just need Hemlock to die
Indispensable? I'm not sure about that, mate. A lot of people have realised the Empire don't need them and I'm fairly certain you are on the list of people who can be ditched
Hahahahahaha the way the droid just starts looming behind her is kinda hilarious
OMEGA'S THEME 😭
Wrecker, bud, be careful...
Look at Omega sneaking around. She's so grown up! 🥲
ZILLOBEAST TIME
"Because that's exactly what I'd do" He's such a proud mum
THE WAY THE TROOPERS COME FLYING OUT OF THE FOG
"Clone Force 99 died with Tech`' well there goes my heart. I think this also explains why we haven't really heard the Batch theme since season 2. That theme was for CF 99 and if that doesn't truly exist anymore...
"It's what I deserve" CROSSHAIR DON'T DO THIS TO ME
"Echo's handiwork or Omega's?" "Omega's." I'M DYING
Omega's theme in this soundtrack is just 🤌
Oh great. We have a whole group of Clone Xs to contend with.
I just need all of the Batch together so that we can get the theme. I know I said earlier that we probably never got it because of a lack of Tech but I still stand by the fact that we deserve to hear it one last time.
These CX soldiers almost feel like a parallel to the Batch. One slightly larger, more hand-to-hand combat oriented soldier, one who fights with blades, a sniper, ONE WHO IS VERY TECH SAVVY 👀
WRECKER AAAAAAHHHH THIS IS NOT GOOD
NOT THE HAND
WTF?!
HELP
NO
THIS IS NOT GOOD 😰
Fuuuuuccckkk Echo's seen them down
"Causing chaos, Havoc 5?" HE'S STILL MAKING QUIPS IN THIS SITUATION I LOVE HIM
"Hey, kid. And... other kids." PLEASE 😭
"We'll meet you there" YOU BETTER DO
Echo and Omega teaming up is everything I ever needed ❤️‍🩹
Hemlock needs to die a slow, painful death
ECHO'S SPEECH FEELS LIKE THE SPEECH HE AND FIVES GAVE DURING THE ATTCK ON KAMINO I FEEL SICK
Rampart looking sus...
This feels like this isn't going as terribly as it could be and that scares me
Aw ☹️ bye, Nala Se. I never really loved you but it's sad to see you go
HAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU, RAMPART
AAAAAAAHHHH ECHO GOT STABBED
You know what I said 2 seconds ago about it not being terrible? I think I spoke too soon...
YES WRECKER
I'm not liking the position Echo is stuck in rn. That stresses me out 😥
We're not exactly in top form but hey, an attempt is being made
ECHO BE CAREFUL
Soooo... I get the feeling CX-2 isn't Tech...
AW NO SCORCH
FUCK YES!!! Bye Hemlock 👋
THE LOOK ON CROSSHAIR'S FACE WHEN SHE HUGS HIM AAAAAHHHH
Tarkin is not going to be a happy bunny
Oop we got a Project Stardust mention
THE SHOW ENDING WITH THEM ON PABU??? LIKE AN ACTUAL SOMEWHAT HAPPY ENDING???
I'm crying
Actually sobbing
That shot of them all sat by the tree 😭😭😭
A FUCKING EPILOGUE KMN
I can't breath
SHE REMINDS ME OF PHEE AAAAHHH
GONKY!!! 🥹
OLD HUNTER?!
Omega is joining the Rebellion? 🥺
Crosshair, Hunter and Wrecker all got to live to an old age in relative peace I'm in so many tears rn
Okay but if Echo isn't with the others at this point then where is he??? PLEASE TELL ME HE'S STILL AROUND
TECH'S GOGGLES?!
I'm not okay on any level
Okay, so overall, I'm relatively satisfied with the ending. I also cried about as much as I would have done if they all died so my emotions are still all over the place. Do I think every question we had came to a satisfying conclusion? Not quite. But I think we tied up enough loose ends for me to be content.
And I'm happy they got a somewhat happy ending. Knowing that they get to live a life in relative peace makes me happy, and we know that Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair at least make it another few years. Omega joining the Rebellion also seems apt. As an Echo girly I unfortunately don't feel quite as secure with where we left off. I don't have the same level of closure that I do with the others because we know that around this point in time, he isn't with Rex. But he also isn't with the Batch either. I hope we get to see more of him in future projects because I don't quite feel satisfied with this being the end of his story. He's doing too much for it to stop there.
Also... we were wrong about Tech. The level of delusion we carried throughout this season, my god. 😭 But it means I'm confused by some of their choices. The way they focused on being savvy with technology, the way he moves being similar to Tech, FUCKING DOMICILE??? Like, they have to have known that we would all go that way with our theories so why??? If it wasn't him they why was he written the way he was? I refuse to believe everything we thought was purely out of delusion. Does this mean I have issues with the way Tech's story ended? Yes. But overall I think the show wrapped up fairly well.
I'll try and drop some more thoughts later down the line once I've pulled myself together a bit, but for now I can say that I am content. Completely satisfied? Not really, but definitely content.

So I finally got around to watching the first three episodes of the final season, and I’ve got to say, I’m very intrigued by the addition of the three clone cadets! Most of my interest comes from their names- and since I haven’t seen anyone else discuss them yet, I thought I’d throw my own thoughts out there.
As we have seen in many star wars projects over the years, character names seem to be overwhelming literal, either revealing elements of their background, or foreshadowing their future (think how in Rebels, Kanan means ‘little wolf’, while his true name, Caleb, means ‘dog’, foreshadowing his link to the Loth wolves.)
Of course, we know that the clones either name themselves or have the name bestowed on them by their brothers (think of Echo getting his name). The trio of clones that we meet in Paths Unknown are named Deke, Stak, and Mox. There hasn’t been much information released regarding at what age clones typically receive their names, however in the Clone Wars episode Clone Cadets, we see Cutup take his name from a trainer who criticizes him for his attitude. As that episode focuses on Domino squad’s final training simulation before graduation, and that they all appear to be fully grown adult clones, it can be assumed that they are all around ten years old, the same age of most clones sent to war. Given that we see Cutup choose his name during this episode, and that Echo is struggling with his nickname and remembering Fives’ name, it suggests that Domino squad had only recently begun thinking about what name they would choose for themselves.
While we haven’t been given a definitive age for Deke, Stak and Mox they are all still clearly children. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even have names by the time they were taken off Kamino, and had to create names for each other while trying to survive on the planet they were stranded on.
To begin with Mox, his is the name I could find the least amount of reference for. There seems to be three possible interpretations:
Mox is a type of fuel designed for use in nuclear reactors.
Mox is a shortened version of moxie, meaning ‘energy, courage, and determination.’
Mox is the Latin word for ‘soon.’
I’m not overly drawn to the first idea, but I can understand the second - as Mox is clearly the eldest and protective over his younger brothers, I can see him taking a name which shows that side of his personality. I also see Mox as a direct parallel of Hunter; both are the eldest brothers of their respective groups, and are both incredibly wary of outsiders due to their need to keep their brothers safe.
However, I much prefer the third choice. The idea that Mox’s name means ‘soon’ can have both good and bad implications. For starters, Mox is clearly the most emotionally conflicted throughout the episode, unsure of his place on the mission, and of his place once they leave the planet. Hunter assures him that he has time to consider being something other than a soldier, and Mox offers his hand to Hunter. This action could be foreshadowing that soon, Hunter himself will be able to retire from this lifestyle, by finding Omega and Crosshair. Alternatively, Mox’s name meaning soon could be a very bad omen for the batch, as it could foreshadow the clone cadets being used as leverage against them (I’m thinking this could come into play when the empire attacks Pabu if the cadets are there).
Moving on, the word Deke was originally coined by Hemingway as a shortened form of the word decoy. We do not see him act as a decoy in any way during this episode, so I believe it is solely to foreshadow future events. Considering the many parallels drawn between Deke and Tech during this episode (e.g. Stak dubbing Deke ‘the smart one’ and Deke almost falling to his death in the base) his name meaning decoy only makes me more convinced that Tech is still around in some capacity (even if that capacity is just his body being used for cloning experiments).
Finally, Stak is most commonly considered to be an old version of the word stick, which makes sense when you consider the basic stick-based weapons that the cadets carry, and Wrecker’s first words to Stak and Deke when he meets them: ‘Blaster beats stick, kid!’ Knowing that the Star Wars writers love foreshadowing, this comment has me thinking things might not end so well for Stak. Interestingly, another link I found while researching this is that Stak is a common phrase in the Rogue Trooper series, in which a war is fought between facist Norts and democratic Southers (you can already see the obvious parallels to Star Wars here). In the series, in an attempt to win the war, the Southers create genetically engineered soldiers, but only one, known as Rogue, survives. Even more links involve one of the main stories of this series being titled ‘The Marauders’, and each one of the genetically engineered soldiers having a bio-chip in their body. While not a direct link, these coincidences do make me think there is a direct link between the two medias, it is possible that there is a fan of the Rogue Trooper series within the team behind The Bad Batch.
Either way, I’m very happy to finally be getting some explanation into what happened to the young clones who never saw the battlefield during the clone wars - though I am a little concerned that their worth being tied to their unexplored identity as soldiers could lead to them taking risks in further episodes in the hopes of proving themselves.

So how are we feeling right now? (TBB Spoilers)
Episodes 10 & 11 may be some of the darkest we've seen this season. We all knew the storm was coming but wow that was such a dramatic shift. I definitely had some thoughts and realizations after watching the latest release.
Okay first off lets talk about the elephant in the room: Tech. A lot of people thought that Identity Crisis would be about Tech and his struggle with having been made into the shadow clone CX-2, but it was actually about Emerie (I'll get back to her in a bit). Even though we don't know exactly who that shadow clone is yet, I do think it could still be Tech. In episode 11 (plus 6 and 7) we saw a lot of hints towards Tech as we knew him in seasons 1 and 2; things like the way he spoke, his leg getting crushed, his flying, and his use of Cid and Phee to get to the others on Pabu. One thing that really stood out to me when he was on Phee's ship is the way he put his hands on the flight controls while downloading her data, almost like it was second nature to him, something familiar he did without thinking (I know this is a stretch but it really jumped out at me as a parallel to the countless scenes of Tech flying the Marauder, it just felt like him again). However there is a dark side to all of this. If CX-2 is Tech that means that:
Tech destroyed the Marauder; the ship that was a home and refuge for CF 99, both during the war and after the Empire took over. It was the one real constant they had in their lives and he would be the reason it's gone.
Tech destroyed peace on Pabu; a place where he and the others felt safe and grounded for the first time since Kamino. It also means he would be at least partly responsible for destroying the lives of everyone who helped and supported them in season 2 (CX-2 was ruthless in ep 11, they made that very clear).
Tech used Phee to accomplish all of this; a friend who trusted and cared about him and rest of the batch.
Tech would be the one who hunted down and eventually captured Omega, whatever that may mean in the future.
There are a lot of people who think that bringing Tech back would make his death meaningless, which I completely understand. Some characters should die and stay dead as a way of furthering the story and development of other characters. However, in this case I do think that revealing CX-2 to be a brainwashed Tech would have huge implications for the narrative. It would mean that one of their own was responsible for so much of the destruction we have seen this season, and that just because Crosshair resisted imperial experiments, does not mean that the others have similar abilities/plot protection. It would also bring immense emotional conflict into the rest of the season (however they might do it) and could be a deciding factor in the rest of the batch's fate; would they realize what he's done and treat him as the enemy, or would they see him and hesitate, possibly losing even more than they already have. Revealing Tech as the shadow clone would be incredibly dark, especially after all of the cruel and deliberate things he has done this season that contrast to the mild tempered and caring persona we previously knew (even if he didn't always show his feelings outright). While I do think there is a possibility that he is dead and not coming back, I definitely would not put it past the writers to do something so drastic as a way of adding to the season's narrative value with a conflicting and completely jarring revelation that would have so many significant implications for so many main characters. I did not mean for this post to be so long but let's keep going anyway.
Some other more general realizations I had:
As of right now, Hunter and Wrecker don't know that Omega was taken again. That said, we might not see them finding out and the next episode could definitely jump ahead like they have done with other significant moments like Crosshair's return.
Crosshair could be blamed for letting Omega give herself up and missing the shot to put a tracker on the ship, especially if they never see her again (but I'm choosing to believe that won't happen). There is no way Hunter wouldn't have something to say about that, even after they have mostly patched things up over the last few episodes. This also contributed to the tone of the episode 11 ending; he missed the shot, meaning they have no way of tracking her and are no closer to finding Tantiss. It was a very bleak note to end on in general, not at all like some hopeful purpose driven endings we have seen previously.
Just because Omega gave herself up does not mean that the Empire is going to leave Pabu intact. She distracted CX-2 by letting him take her back to Tantiss but the other troopers were still there, and I doubt they will just pack up and leave without a fight now that Omega is back in their control.
There are only 4 episodes left; what if they don't reveal CX-2's identity at all, and just leave us guessing (I still think there could be merit to the possibility of it being Cody or a Crosshair clone but that gets less likely every time we see him). Or worse, what if they keep hinting at it to make sure we know who he is, but never give us proof; instead just leaving us with the knowledge of what happened to Tech, and what he has done, without any other closure.
Ok let's talk about Emerie. I was definitely not expecting her to be the focus of Identity Crisis, but I thought that was a really interesting twist. We haven't seen her in a while so it was nice to get her perspective, and to get a better idea of what project Necromancer is all about (though I am still not totally sure where they are going with that so I'm reserving my judgments until later). As the title implies, she is definitely starting to question her place with Hemlock and the Empire, and I am also wondering how she is going to react to Omega being captured again, especially knowing what she knows now. I definitely think Emerie will be more sympathetic towards Omega's independence and desire to help the other clones. We might even see the two of them working together on a future escape attempt? Overall I enjoyed episode 10 and I am glad Emerie is finally getting her moment to contribute to the plot, especially after her importance was so obiously revealed in Crosshair's escape attempt during season 2.
I'm sorry this got so depressing but unfortunately I think that is what we can expect for the rest of the season unless something really unexpected happens. Also if you read that entire novel then thank you I swear I didn't think this post would be so long when I was writing down my thoughts earlier but here we are.

Echo leaving was Omega's first familiar loss in the series. She's lost her home and seen many clones die, but this is the first time that someone in her squad has left. She has no idea how to process this loss and doesn't understand when Hunter, Wrecker, and especially Tech don't react with the same confusion and anger that she does. They've all lost someone important to them, probably more times than they would like to keep count.
Omega doesn't see that, she sees a cold front, the product of abandonment.
Omega feels like Echo abandoned her, and Tech feels like Crosshair abandoned him.
That's why their conversation in episode 9 is so important. During the first season we, the viewers, see Tech blow up on Cross when they're escaping Kamino, but it is never mentioned again, whatever harbored resentment he may have is sidelined, and it is possible that Omega never saw how much it hurt him. And now with Echo leaving, she does see, that one mention of Crosshair, the pain in his eyes, she can now see that she is more like him that she thought, he's just used to being abandoned.
And now with recent episodes, in season 3, we'll have a chance to see another parallel. Omega never meant to abandon her family, she was taken and she'll most likely be brainwashed (or it will be attempted). Similarly Crosshair didn't have a choice when he was taken. He'll have to face the knowledge that Tech died coming to save him. That he died protecting Omega.
They'll both be a ressentful towards one another, rightfully. But in the end they'll realize that it was Tech's decision. That he sacrificed himself so that they could survive.
And Omega will realize that she's more like Crosshair than she thought. He's just used to being abandoned.

Also.....why Shig's reveal was so lucuster? He build up the dabi's reveal. Shig got...nothing?
Who reads that will think Dabi and the Todorikos (along with POS) are the main characters.
Hi @mikeellee 👋,
Hmm. I think Shig's reveal about being Shimura Tenko doesn't have the same impact for a few reasons:
1) It wasn't built up. - This reveal wasn't hinted at beforehand, so there were no clues (like there were with Dabi being a Todoroki) about Shig's true identity. Therefore the excitement / anticipation for it wasnt there.
2) This reveal focused on how AM felt about it as well as how twisted AFO was. - The impact of this reveal when it was revealed did nothing for Shig as a character. It didn't add anything to him. But it felt like it was for AM to give him a connection to Shig. Whereas Dabi's reveal adds everything to him and reveals his parallel to Todoroki as well as his inner obsession / madness well.
3) On the same vein how does Shiggy feel about this relation? Even though it was revealed later, if you just watched Kamino ward you wouldn't know. Shiggy's reveal (like Kurogiri's actually) focused on the impact it gave on other characters rather than THEM. Whereas Dabi upon his reveal made his own feelings very clear.
TLDR - Dabi's reveal added to him as a character and was built up so many were excited for this moment. Shiggy's backstory reveal didn't do any of this so doesn't work as well.

Rewrite LoV Thoughts.
Follow up to my Magne post and my Izuku/Tomura Parallels post, my HCs/rewrite thoughts.
Tomura Shigaraki/Tenko Shimura
Most of what I had planned for him is pointed out in that last post, but there’s still stuff to say about him.
He’s a study in contradictions, a man child gamer one moment and a truly devious plotter and quirk analyst the next. Speaks in NEET speak half the time, the next half he’s spouting boss ass dramatic quotes.
Read up on Buddhism just to mock Overhaul.
Eventually manages to overcome AFO’s attempts to overwrite his will, and during the Stars and Stripes fight, rejects the name ‘Tomura Shigaraki’ and embraces the name ‘Tenko Shimura’
Kurogiri
Prototype High End Nomu, made into Tomura’s caretaker.
Caught during Kamino instead of after Overhaul Arc.
Parts of Shirakumo are coming through in captivity.
Dabi/Touya Todoroki
He’s a straight up Proto-Nomu here, from the same project that ultimately produced Nine, his body put through similar processes as Shigaraki to implant him with a healing factor/quirk.
His designation is Four.
Problem is his fire is so hot that it negates the healing, but still allows him to survive far beyond his expiration date.
Basically engineered to be Shigaraki’s lancer, someone who could present ideals that Shigaraki could align with, tweak, or argue.
Ultimately focused in the idea of revenge, to the point where he leaves Twices to his fate just to screw over Hawks.
Finds out he’s been manipulated following the War Arc, as it turns out that he’s susceptible to the same command protocols as the Nomu.
Goes mad with the revelation, adding onto his familial issues.
Spinner
More attention paid to his skills as an orator and negotiator. His name ‘Spinner’ might actually come from his fast talking ability.
Heart of the team, reigning in Toga’s more out-there desires, keeping Dabi and Shigaraki from tearing each other apart, and convincing Compress to stay.
One the most vocal against AFO’s influence alongside Magne.
Because of this, he’s given Body Bulk and Scale Mail to isolate Shigaraki.
Toga
Nothing. She’s perfect :)
But seriously though, more attention paid for her desire for family and people who will accept her for who she is then just a romantic angle.
Gets a bodysuit that allows her to use her power without having to get naked.
Loses an eye following the MLA Arc.
Loses a lot of motivation following the War Arc, where she realizes that however this ends, her ‘family’ is going to be ripped apart, with Twice dead, Dabi simply not caring, Compress caught, and Spinner and Shigaraki falling under AFO’s sway. Thus she regresses back to her Izuku/Ochako obsession.
Twice
Not many changes for him, but he’s still got that intense need to be accepted, DID, villainy and all.
Worked for the Shie Hassaikai for a bit, and Overhaul Arc kicks off when they track him down.
He might be missing a finger?
Mr. Compress
Deliberately mysterious, but always has sage advice.
Expert escape artist and the LoV’s main infiltrator.
Implication that he used to be a vigilante or even a proper hero at one point.
Definitely has something going on with Magne.
During the War if faced with the choice of freeing Gigantomachia or toga and Spinner. He chooses the latter, spilling his backstory to buy them time to escape.

Ok so I was thinking about this crossover idea I had of Arcane x Bad Batch. Spoilers for both shows.
*Contains headcanons*
I’ve been rewatching both shows and realized that Star Wars and Arcane have some similarities.
—Adopted dads
—eye color changes (Sith/Shimmer)
—Jinx/Vader parallel
—Silco/Palpatine parallel (they both lie about Vi/Obiwan respectively)
So the main idea would be Vander and Benzo are Jedi Masters (Silco is a Sith). While it’s generally against the rules of the Council to have more than 1 padawan, Vander has 4 b/c they need as many trained Jedi as possible. Because he has 4 padawans, Vander does not have a clone battalion. Instead, they work closely with Clone Force 99, aka the Bad Batch. All the kids (Vi, Claggor, Mylo, Powder and Ekko) are all jedi padawans (Caitlyn is mandalorian).
Order 66 coincides with the accidental explosion in ep3 of Arcane (where Claggor/Mylo/Vander dies). Instead of robbing Jayce (in Arcane), the kids have all passed their crystal trials. Kyber crystals are the hex crystals (Act1 version).
For the Batch, Crosshair still turns and goes after the padawans. Crosshair’s turn happens right after Vander and Benzo are taken/killed. He goes after Vi and Ekko until Hunter knocks him out. He manages to convince Vi to go back with him (mentioning Powder), but not Ekko. Ekko runs off/escapes (like Caleb).
Vi regroups with the other padawans and tells them Master Benzo was killed and Master Vander was taken (by Silco). Vi still tells Powder to stay behind while the others go after their master/father-figure. Powder still has a mental breakdown etc. But instead of remembering an accidental explosion (Jayce’s apartment) she remembers that Huang (lightsaber droid) told them that the crystals are incredibly powerful, leading to the monkey bomb scene in Arcane ep3. That whole scene would be the same. Mylo/Claggor die. Silco’s saved by Sevika, and Silco’s partner, Singed, a mad scientist/doctor still gets caught in the explosion. Instead of turning Shimmer-monster like in Arcane, Vander turns Sith but chooses to save Vi, dying in the process (still tells her to take care of Powder too).
THAT WHOLE HEART-WRENCHING SCENE STILL HAPPENS (with Powder sobbing/repeating that she only wanted to help to Vi slapping her and telling her she’s a jinx). As Powder pleads, sobbing, begging for Vi to come back, Hunter manages to find her and take her back with them. Vi’s still taken but instead of Marcus, she’s taken by clones.
The Batch+Powder return to Kamino and they still meet Omega. The rest of Bad Batch ep1 still happens (training room scene/Saw Guerra/going back for Omega/Crosshair getting separated from the rest of the Batch/Inhibitor Chip increase). Omega sees Powder as a younger sister and helps her get through the lowest point in her life. So the main differences would be O66 clones instead of shimmer-monsters and Powder ISN’T raised by Silco. Also the Arcane timeskip doesn’t happen (follows BB episodes mostly).
Idk exactly how everything would line up (especially with the other storylines in Arcane: Jayce/Viktor/Mel/Heimerdinger and Caitlyn) but the main idea would be the Batch adopting Powder and Omega seeing her as a sister (Powder would def have problems with ‘sister-relationships’ and through Omega’s help, gets healthy therapy and begins to trust).
This was just an idea I’d been playing around with for the past few weeks. The inspiration came from YouTube channel CW Edits and their ‘What Could’ve Been’ video of Anakin and Obi-Wan. If you haven’t seen it, YOU HAVE TO SEE IT! Their channel is amazing and their SW vids are *chef’s kiss*
Is anyone interested in this?? Please be honest. Lemme know what you all think! Thanks!

Watching Heroes: Rising
For the first time and I just- HNG
So many feelings!
Late night bkdk rivalry
Izuku holding Katsuki back from going berserk on Mahoro and Katsuma
Katsuki watching Izuku interact with Katsuma (on that note the fucking Save To Win, Win To Save mention ♡)
Izuku yanking the phone from Katsuki (and Katsuki basically just lets him)
Katsuki really taking the Save To Win part to heart once more during the fight against Mummy
Mahoro's Deku illusion was a sweet comedic break
Of course it's Katsuki coming to save Izuku
Of course Izuku's power gets a small boost as soon as Katsuki is at a disadvantage
I was in physical pain watching them lose though
1-A my beloved providing the necessities for the island's inhabitants
Win To Save, Save To Win flashback (on that note I love Toshinori's scrawny real-form, he really be the scary-looking neighbor that comes over on a random rainy Sunday to share some fresh tea and self-baked cookies)
Bkdk looking like Mahoro and Katsuma's parents
The animation of Ochako's gag reflex was actually pretty good, and strangely aesthetically pleasing
On a side note, there was another scene where Fumikage had his cloak draped more on his back so his forearms were visible. Yeah, those forearms deserve a post of their own
Oh right then the best part
THE EX-CATAPULT
Look, they instinctively reached out for one another, didn't hesitate to grab each other's hands and it's overall such a powerful and fantastic move
Kiri and Shoto randomly remembering Kamino, please these kids have been through enough
Did Shoto kill that guy?
Mezo deserves an appreciation post of its own
I love when our Wonder Duo is in action like this, blindly trusting each other
Also the Deku Thighs are in action
Btw also love the parallels between Izuku and Katsuma, and Katsuki and Mahoro. Little cry babies willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, and little brats only loyal to their one goal and one person
They're winning but that island is taking a lot of damage
THIS IS WHEN KATSUKI GETS ONE FOR ALL?!
...
He looks weird though
Okay but the feels for all of that alone are too much
How am I supposed to handle this
Okay, cannot handle all of that fight right now
But can handle Hawks saving his Bird Bestie, thanks Hawks
Papa Toshinori is someone I crave in my life
Papa Endeavour is strangely emotional and I live for Shoto's reaction to it
Deku really barely left middle school and already got a bunch of kids idolizing him
I don't know how to end this, I finished the movie, it's way too late to get a healthy amount of sleep tonight, my brain is a bit overwhelmed
Thank you for reading through this

Tales Of The Jedi:
Episode 1:
Ahsoka really does have a strong resemblance to her mother
I love the kangaroo deer (Kybuck)
Ooh, space sabretooth bear-tiger
Togruta screams are terrifying
I love how Ahsoka tamed the tiger and rode it back home
Also absolutely in love with the use of her theme at the end of the episode
Episode 2:
The way Dooku still felt like a villain with that music playing when he walked in
Also, he's definitely voiced by Corey Burton (I didn't think he was when I saw the trailer) Lmao
Definitely have an old-timey medieval vibe from the town atmosphere
I love the senator's son. The way he felt bad for the people and took their side despite their kidnapping him.
The way the people didn't even blame the woman for calling the senator, because she and many are just that hungry
I feel sad for Dooku, seeing his dedication to the people vs who he turned into
Holy shit, the music
The absolute rage in Dooku's eyes - oh, shit. Even Qui-Gon's concerned.
I love the way we see Qui-Gon defy Dooku to save the people (the people on each side), a clear representation of how he'll defy the Council when he is a master himself. Ah, foreshadowing.
The parallels of Dooku and Qui-Gon telling their apprentices that they're wiser than they are 😭
Episode 3:
Seeing Yoda's two apprentices together, getting along? Love it. Dooku and Mace make an interesting pair indeed! The contrasting colors of their robes, though, like Obi-Wan and Anakin...
Raxus is as beautiful as I remember it. she says, as if she can't go back and rewatch TBB whenever she wanted to
Wow, Raxus politics are a mess. Killing one another. And Jedi. I mean, it's always been a mess, but...
Dooku's right, the Jedi Order is a bit corrupt
Oh, that's how Mace got on the Council
Episode 4:
Ooh, we're in the Archives. Never got this close a look at it before.
Wowwww, Dooku. And there goes the data on Kamino.
Oh shit, we're in The Phantom Menace
Jocasta's characterization is great. It feels just like when we saw her in Attack Of The Clones
Yaddle speaks normally???? How did the Jedi mess up raising Yoda to do so???
"You need not worry." Ha, if only you knew you'd die within like a day
Qui-Gon's praise of Obi-Wan is so heartwarming, honestly. Shame Dooku met him under such dire circumstances later on.
Watching Dooku grieve Qui-Gon really was something.
I swear Yaddle was stalking Dooku, I'm not even surprised he chose to attack her (and not just because I already knew he would, thanks trailer) I mean, she also came across him speaking to the Sith Lord, so fair enough
Dooku's killing of Yaddle was his final test of loyalty, such as Anakin's killing Dooku later on. So Palpatine knew for sure that each was fit to fill the role he needed of them. That parallel....
Yaddle's single "No" before the fight is heartbreaking
screams in the music being perfect again
Seriously, though, no wonder Dooku did so well against Yoda later on. Not just experience from training, but from his fight with Yaddle
Holy shit, he crushed her with the door also, how the fuck did that not kill her?
Episode 5:
Nothing is funnier than watching Anakin run through the Temple halls because he's  late- and Obi-Wan's comment was gold
I see you, Caleb
I love the way young Kanan got so excited when he was watching Ahsoka fight the droids
Anakin "good isn't good enough" Skywalker
LMAO Anakin doing the "That's what I meant" to "I thought I was late?" after Obi-Wan did it to him
The clones had to feel so bad repeatedly stunning her like that
"Sorry, Commander!" Love you too, Jesse
Rex standing up for Ahsoka <3
THE WAY ANAKIN HELD OUT THE LIGHTSABER
Oh, the cut to everyone in colored phase two armor!!!
WE DIDN'T JUST CUT TO ORDER 66 NO WAY WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS DAVE
Episode 6:
Oh, it would start out with Padme's funeral, my heart- oh, hey, Bail
Bail knowing Ahsoka was there and seeking her out means everything
"She was my friend." Ahsoka has never sounded so broken
The music when it showed Rex!!!
Raada?????! Smaller than I expected. It has to be, right? They're calling her Ashla.
I'm sad that we didn't get Kaeden and her sister. Probably because they're so similar to Trace and Rafa.
Also, I hate that girl's brother. Wow.
Hi, Space Khonshu-
Ahsoka should've let the brother die Lmao
Spacey recognized her??
That was fast. And anti-climatic. The book did it all better.
Oh, yeah- Spacey? You're weak.
I'm offended that the credits just have him listed as "Inquisitor". I can't keep calling him Spacey/Space Khonshu forever. Though I guess he is Six, isn't he? If this truly was Raada.

12, 18 and 20 for the writer asks!
Oh boy, let's see what trouble you get me in Space Mom
12. Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?
*Don't say 'there was only one bed', Don't say 'there was only one bed', Don't say 'there was only one bed'* uhhh....there's a bunch of tropes I haven't written yet
18. What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.
alright, I'll give you a two-for-one on this one. One I wrote and one I had an idea for but passed it on.
So the First one is in Brotherly Intervention. I really enjoyed my set up of Hunter referring to his brother as 'traitors' since they cornered him in their barracks on Kamino and you get that bit of tense feeling for a smash cut into Hunter being annoyed that he got boxed in and is being 'helped' by Wrecker. I really wanted to play this off as because Hunter is the shortest that he may be manhandled by his significantly larger brother, intentional or otherwise.
The second one I helped with (my mind is hazy on the exact way it came about, so if I'm wrong 1. I'm sorry and 2. please keep me honest Space Mom) and it managed to make it in was in Space Mom's "Sun and Rain" fic. I had been reading it for a hot minute, and I would hop in Space Mom's dms to chat about it since I enjoy chatting about the writing process and I like my friend Space Mom (it's a win-win). So we started chatting about parallels between Kimber and Hunter and I was appreciating the character growth Kimber had gone through in the chapters leading up to our chat. I can't remember if I was joking or not, but I said something to the effect of 'what if Kimber had her own squad just for Hunter to watch her command them and he gets a "that's my girl" moment?'. Idea seemed pretty sound, and I had an OC I knew pretty well (at least I hope I do since I made her) and had a decent understanding of Kimber, so I wrote up a quick little blurb. I really enjoy Kimber as a character and I wanted to experiment and see how she would bounce off of other female characters since Kimber is usually with the Batchers. Next thing I know, I'm being asked if Rina can come play. Long story short, it's been an absolute honor to see Rina handled with so much care, and to also have someone I can chat about writing with if I'm ever stuck. Maker's honest truth, I'm blessed to have you, Space Mom.
20. What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?
I haven't written for too many minor characters since I tend to keep character casts in my oneshots small, but judging by characters that are not the main focus of a story I write I'd say I have the most fun with Tech. I often joke that the piece doubles in length as I write Tech a scene where he can talk or explain something, and his deadpan delivery with material is great.

Thelreads, MHA 283, Replies Part 2
1) “… Welp I take that back, I don’t think that what I said will apply come the next 10 or so seconds.”- Too be fair, it’s not like it’d do any good either. Tomura has GPS lock on Izuku and can move faster than him, on top of being compelled to hunt the boy wherever he goes. Even if Izuku was in any state of mind to flee and fight another day, He Can’t Run.
youtube
2) “SHITSHITSHIT UHHHH- SOME DEUS EX MACHINA TO SAVE THE DAY PLEASE? BECAUSE I THINK WE JUST MET WITH QUITE THE DIFFICULT SITUATION IN HERE”-Actually, one thing I appreciate about Horikoshi’s writing is that he generally doesn’t do this. There’s always some kind of logical explanation or setup behind Heroes arriving on the scene or events starting to turn in their favour, even if said context isn’t obvious to those being saved or protected. Izuku realised Iida was facing Stain from all the context clues he knew about his friend, their location, and overhearing his mentor calling for him in the chaos, and had read up enough about the Hero Killer’s M.O to search the most likely locations to find him. Shoto managed to step in to help Izuku against Stain because he sent out his location data to his friends as a cry for help. Izuku stepped in to help Kota because Mandalay told him about his secret hiding spot and Izuku had visited it prior. The Kids jumped in to help Bakugo escape at Kamino because of their desire to rescue their friend made them take action that happened to be in parallel with the official heroes’ efforts, and it was Momo’s tracker that the heroes were following to the warehouse. Tokoyami stepped in to save Hawks because of his awareness of Hawks’ weakness and seeing a burned Hawks escaping the room from outside to cut off Twice’s escape, and here, the heroes’ effort in striking early before Tomura’s procedure was finished – and specifically breaking his container before he’d passed 75% - is why his body starts to fail on him after all the damage they’ve inflicted on him. It all makes logical sense and has a large amount of buildup why these events happen in hindsight.
If anything, it’s the Villains who benefit from Deus Ex Machina events falling in their favour. From the League getting bailed out by AFO right when they’re dead to rights, to going up agaisnt Overhaul and the Hasaaki right at the same time he becomes targeted by Izuku and the others, giving them “allies” whom they know how to manipulate against their common foe, gaining the otherwise-unobtainable Erasure bullets in the process, to being targeted by the MLA right when they’re looking for a means to try and beat Gigantomachia, to Tomura, Toga and Jin’s trauma buttons getting broken in exactly the right manner to give them massive powerups, to gaining the MLA’s support and resources right when they need them to put their revolution into play – so many things just go right for the Villains out of nowhere. Hell, Tomura’s revival and Machia’s rampage right as the heroes are on the verge of winning shows this better than anything.
3) “OH THANK GOD SOMETHING HAPPENED Seems like Shigaraki is coming undone, was this because of the previous fight, or was it because he’s not finished? Is the strain of all those quirks finally getting to him? Because holy shit he absolutely will die if this keeps going”-
Tomura may die, but here’s the thing.
He Doesn’t Care.
As long as a single piece of him is intact, he’s gonna keep attacking the heroes, and nothing less than maximum overkill will slow him down, let alone stand a chance at killing him. His lack of actual reaction to his body falling apart says it all really, he’s not giving any normal response like screaming in agony or panicking over his body suddenly opening up like a door hinge, he’s just giving a surprised “huh?”, and then calmly analysing why this would be happening. The fact his body is sudsy showing injuries that would put a normal man on death’s door isn’t a concern to him, it’s that said wounds are interfering with is ability to kill the heroes. I honestly can’t tell if his sense of pain has been nullified by the procedure, or if this is the natural result of somebody with Tomura’s screwed-up mentality being given a body that can endure his self-destructive mindset. Either way, just like Izuku using 100%, he’ll be a mangled bloody mess by the end of this fight, but the difference is, he can go further than Izuku because he doesn’t give a crap for the long-term consequences, and his healing ability lets him ‘cheat’ with the repercussions of going that far anyway… so long as the Quirk can work properly with the mess he’s twisting himself into anyway.
(MHA ch 255) 4) “Oh boy, that cant be good… Last page was talking about how Shigaraki retained his sense of self intact during the procedure, so this means that they are making good progress… Im starting to think it will be less than four months until the ultimate nomu is walking the earth.”- Whilst that turned out to be true, it’s actually a really good thing for the heroes, because it doesn’t matter how many shortcuts you take to get ultimate power, a deadline is a deadline, and you can’t rush it.
Tumblr media
And cause the heroes forced Tomura out of the oven before he was done baking, he’s not yet ready to handle all his power and bring the full force of his abilities to bear. He’s still kicking their asses with only 75% of his strength, but he can’t keep doing that without going beyond the point of recovery right now.
(MHA ch 268) 5) “OKAY, I THINK IT MIGHT BE A BIT TOO LATE TO STOP HIM I DONT THINK BREAKING THE GLASS IS GOING TO STOP THE PROCESS. THE FUTURE HAS ALREADY TAKEN ROOTS, IT CANT BE STOPPED ANYMORE”-Stop? No. But delay? Leaving him unprepared to fully handle the heroes despite everything he’s doing to them right now? Yes, It can do that. And if so, then the efforts of everybody’s hard work have not gone to waste yet.
6) “QUICK MIDORIYA, WHILE HE’S CONFUSED, PUNCH HIM INTO THE STRATOSPHERE”- Izuku: Excellent plan! And then, I’ll keep him there and kill him before touchdown!
7) “Yeah, there wouldn’t be limits, if he was finished. Isn’t Shigaraki aware that the process got interrupted halfway through? I thought he already had realized that he wasn’t 100% complete”- Tomura woke up, and chose violence immediately upon realising that there were heroes nearby. It worked out for his allies, but it’s kinda hilarious to think that if the situation hadn’t been as dire, his instantly-unleashed AOE Decay move would have been detrimental to everybody in the immediate area, just dusting everything around the hospital before anybody can get a word in edgeways.
8) “oh it seems he hasn’t realized it yet That’s weird, he knew he would be completely unstoppable when the process was done, even erasing his quirk wouldn’t be able to stop him, didn’t it dawn to him throughout this fight that he wasn’t as OP as they promised?”- Tomura’s still adjusting to his new levels of strength, and hasn’t quite processed everything that’s going on. He was on cloud nine beating up everybody even with a handicap, but now that the handicap’s gone, he’s finally starting to realise that it wasn’t just his lack of Quirks that was hampering his performance, but his body not quite being ready for the damage he’s unleashing with it and against it. It’s also a much-needed moment of hilarity in this dire situation, reminding us that Tomura’s still a teenager with all the poor time-keeping that comes with it.
9) “Yeah midoriya, it’s like looking into a mirror, innit? My, the parallels keep coming and they don’t stop coming”- For the longest time, there didn’t seem to be as many narrative parallels between Izuku and Tomura as there were between All Might and All For One. But now that they’re both unlocking their true power, using their heroic/villainous Origins as motivations to fight regardless of the self-cost, they’re starting to become more and more similar to each other, both growing into the destined roles in tandem.
10) “Ah right, so it was 75% where it stopped, I wasn’t so sure about the exact numbering, I was wondering if that was what the title was referring to.”- I think the process somewhat froze when Mirko cracked the glass tank, unable to really finish with the environment around Tomura de-pressed incorrectly, with Mic’s voice-blast just finishing the job as much as stopping Garaki from reviving him. So in a way, we all owe our lives to the bunny of Carnage.
11) “OH GOD MIDORIYA QUICK DO SOMETHING BECAUSE SHIT’S ABOUT TO GET FUCKY AGAIN”- Case in point about Tomura’s absolutely unstoppable will, it doesn’t matter to him how badly his body’s broken, if he can still move a part of it – specifically the hand that he needs to unleash the AOE wave- then he will do it, even if he can to puppet the parts manually, damn his uncooperative flesh!
12) “MIDORIYA FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO SOMETHING IN THE NEXT 10 NANOSECONDS OR GOD HELP ME”- The manga’s had a bit of a theme about certain Villains being self-defeating, such as Mustard during the Training Lodge giving him his position all the time through his smoke cover, or Overhaul making himself too many enemies to realistically defeat on multiple fronts. In that regard, Re-Destro accidentally screwed his own side over when he fought Tomura, as tearing off the fingers on his left hand weakened it, rendering it incapable of withstanding the strain of unleashing the AOE wave through that hand, and meaning Tomura can only use his right one to pull the move off. When said hand is incapacitated like here, even if Tomura’s able to use his left hand to pull a workaround with it, the seconds he spent getting it into potion were enough time for Izuku to react and yank him away from Terra Firma, to settle things in a terrain where Izuku has the advantage.
13) “OH GOD DID IT FINALLY HAPPEN? IS MIDORIYA FINALLY FLYING?!”- Take note of Izuku’s whips here. He’s lifting all his allies with the whips sprouting from his left arm whilst keeping Tomura teared with a separate one from his right. This allows him to lift his allies out of the way if Tomura’s Decay had started, whislt also keeping his nemesis off the ground as well and avoid him getting too close to them ones he has to protect. Even pushed past his mental limits and boiling with bloodlust, Izuku’s keeping a cool head on how to save lives whilst ending Tomura’s
14) “WE FINALLY GOT IT Y`ALL LET’S FUCKING GO, THIRD QUIRK FINALLY UNLOCKED!”- Three down, but, with the final battle basically occurring Now, Izuku better hope for a miracle to be able to unlock his remaining powers asap, cause he needs every advantage to counter Tomura’s arsenal of powers.
(Mha ch 258) 15) “But at least they wont be caught off-guard, the heroes are marching towards their target, they intend to strike first and make sure they remove the biggest threat before anything else. And thank god for that, because if Shigaraki does step in the field… Well, we know he will manage to fight, its inevitable, but something will happen to tip the scales and make things balanced, thats for sure.”- There’s balanced, and then there’s the only thing keeping him from killing everybody on the battlefield. If Izuku doesn’t press his advantage now, Tomura will end everybody, even with his body falling apart on him from the strain, so he has to pile on the damage as quickly as he can before he can recover. Do or Die, up here in the sky.
16) “Holy shit! It finally happened! We knew this was coming for quite sometime now, and the fact that the only thing that could counter decay was the ability to fly, but even so I’m quite excited to see another power awakening Hell fucking my boy takes to the skies! and Hopefully that means he won’t be reaching heaven anytime soon. Now Shigaraki was unleashed once again, with Aizawa out of the game, it will be a battle of titans, full power against full power. Well, as much full power as either than can muster, considering that both of them can’t use it all without destroying their own bodies quite the fun situation, where both of them are self-destructing every time they try to go plus ultra, and yet, neither of them will step down, neither of them will stop doing it The End is here and at the same time, The New Start has risen to oppose him”- The End, the Beginning, and the bloody brawl between them. It’s gonna be raining blood next chapter when they fully go at it. @thelreads

Thoughts on Ch. 400 that no one asked for
I wasn't planning on posting my thoughts publicly because I don't feel like getting caught up in a bunch of fandom discourse but I have thoughts™. Spoilers and a disorganized brain dump of my thoughts below the cut.
Well, first off...hi, Hagakure. I mean, we all knew her becoming fully visible was inevitable and I like the concept of her being able to control her quirk in the future but the opening panel of this chapter was just super frustrating. Like, yes. We get it. Her hero "costume" is just being nude all the time because of her quirk. But seriously...she's 16. Can we skip the creepy fan service? It's obviously possible to cover her up and still imply that she doesn't have clothes on. Geez.
Other than that, I did like her and Aoyama's exchange - the way she realized that his quirk evolved, his plan to combine their quirks again to save everyone, her asking if he's okay because she knows his quirk hurts him, then the way Aoyama says that this is his last day as a UA student...like he's not expecting to survive this
But then instead of letting them have their moment of being heroes and saving everyone, we cut back to armored All Might and I'm just...bored.
I knew it wouldn't happen because of how spread out everyone is across the many battlefields and also because a lot of the kids are already down for the count but I would have liked AM's use of the laser at the end of the previous chapter to parallel Aoyama's intended "sacrifice" in the licensing exam when everyone saw it and came together to work as a team. But nope, no call to action, no big hero team up. And no, the fact that he's calling out the kids' quirks does not count. Almost all of them have been "blink and you'll miss it" appearances and others (like the invisible girl heat-resistant resin) don't even make sense.
Then there's panels with the random foreign civilians watching All Might's fight. First of all...La Brava was able to get this to stream world-wide? I guess that's kind of impressive, but...why? I mean, sure, we get some social commentary on how people are self-centered and don't care about things that they think don't affect them but is this random kid watching going to have some kind of wider symbolism in the story? Personally I think it would have made more sense if they had shown viewers in Japan who know what's going on and who are rooting for him, like back in the previous AM vs. AFO fight in Kamino.
Oh...glowing baby...I'm not even going to bother theorizing whether he stole the glowing baby's quirk or if he IS the glowing baby because I don't really care. Just let him rewind out of existence already. Unless...if he is the glowing baby and he rewinds out of existence, maybe all quirks will also disappear? At this point nothing would surprise me.
Yup. Stain's here. That's not a surprise. At least something is actually happening but I get the feeling we're going to spend way too much time on some kind of flashback to whatever he and All Might talked about when he met. Probably some backstory on what shaped his warped ideals, which in theory might be interesting but I don't think it's necessary and it would drag the pacing even more than it's already been dragged. Please don't try to give him a redemption arc.
So anyway, I went back and double checked 5 freaking chapters of this mech suit nonsense to be sure but yes, the Class 1-A quirk countdown just has 1 person left.
So I guess Bakugou's waking up soon. I'm hoping for something with the vestige world because it was hinted at way back in 362. We'll see how much longer it takes us to get there. It would make the most sense to cut to him at the very end of the next chapter but who even knows anymore.

It's weird, and alarming, how willing fans are to overlook the clones as being slaves
Yeah we recognise the Stormtroopers as bad, maybe even, as slaves but not the clones
And the clones are arguably worse
Their one job, their one purpose in life is to be soldiers, they were created for that purpose, trained from a young age and artificially aged up to better serve that purpose
They are the result of eugenics made possible with Sci-fi tech
They are already a clear problem for morality before you get to the way they are treated as an army
They aren't given names, their individuality is something they themselves make and yeah the Jedi don't stop them doing this but that doesn't make the Jedi's compliance with the clones situation any better
The Jedi are using genetically engineered people who have been created to be compliant with their overlords and are treated as expendable and the Jedi are happy to do this, happy to have soldiers to fight their war for them
Already pretty problematic but it gets worse
In at least one episode of the Clone Wars, we see a deserter, he is living a life on a farm, in secret and in hiding, Rex and co accidentally discover him when they crash land on the planet and Rex is injured forcing them to look for help
The revelation of a clone deserter is seen as a betrayal of his brothers, the show allows the deserter to argue that he left for his brothers, but his desertion is still seen as something punishable in canon, Rex's decision to not mention him in his report is a conscious one to protect him from punishment by the army and it is implied that it would have gone very differently had there been a Jedi present, maybe not Anakin because he would have likely understood but any other Jedi may have punished the Clone for this
Now, you may be thinking why is that so bad, in real life we also treat people a similar way for desertion from the army so what makes the Republic doing it wrong
Well, first of all, it is a pretty horrendous way to treat people who are no doubt suffering from emotional trauma from war and all that entails, especially when many of them may have been conscripted so not even consented to fighting in the first place. It is done to discourage desertion which could endanger the lives of their fellow soldiers but that doesn't make it right
Second of all, the clones aren't normal soldiers. They have never experienced a life away from war before, their only family is their fellow clones and their only purpose is to fight, their desertion is therefore significantly less likely but being punished for trying to leave is worse, it draws a parallel between them and slaves, they do not own their own lives, they are not allowed to walk away and they have to follow orders
The Jedi, in using them and enforcing this system, consented to the use of slaves, they consented and took part in a slave system
And the defence that Jedi treated the clones well falls on deaf ears, do you really think all slave owners were openly cruel and inhumane or do you think many would have treated them well in an attempt to encourage loyalty, the way they are treated is up to the individual, it makes that individual worse or marginally better than their peers, it does not negate the guilt and part all of the Jedi played in this system of oppression, the Jedi are still guilty and still responsible for owning and enforcing slaves and the slave system
And yeah it was the Senate who voted on this but the Jedi could have refused, it was their choice to use them, the Jedi were not powerless figureheads but actual leaders, with a degree of separation from the Senate which would have allowed them to refuse the Clone troopers
Yet they didn't, they actively choose to use clone troopers and actively made the Senate aware of their existence rather than shutting down Kamino, they choose to place a Jedi as an overseer of the operation making themselves firmly part of the system, and the way they justified this, was it was for the greater good
They were fighting a war the clones had no part in but the Jedi had decided to get involved in, they wanted to lead armies against the droids to oppose the Separatists and the clone troopers, innocents, were recruited and forced to fight as expendable soldiers
The clones had more personality and individuality than droid soldiers but they were treated no better, they were just as expendable
