It will never not make me weak when one character says 'I want to know you' (or some variation thereof) to another. Especially when that other character is closed off and has likely never had anyone say that to them before. It's just... It's such a simple thing to say, but it's so much. It's: I want to know you. I want to see you. Let me know you. Let me see who you are. Let me see all of who you are. Let me be someone you trust. Let me in. Tell me everything, I want to know. The darkest parts, the hidden depths. Tell me who you are and let me love you. (Because of it, in spite of it, because of it). I want to see you. I want to know you.
