notes: initially, i was gonna write a fic solely about max because he was talking about fornite the other day... but i thought how funny would it be if it were to be with some of the guys so here i am

"hello, everyone," she smiles, reaching forward to adjust the camera as she squints her eyes. "is this a good angle? let me know if it's flattering, okay? i can't not look good on twitch."

lando has managed to convince her to join him for a stream on twitch, insisting that she should start an account as well. she initially refused, claiming that she's not that well-liked to start an account and have a loyal following. even adding on the fact that she's not even a good gamer to begin with.

but lando said that it doesn't matter, and proved her wrong by setting up a poll on his previous stream just to get her to make an account. which, the effort was very endearing.

"you always look good," she squints, turning away the right where her other monitor sits. she scrunches her nose and turns to the camera to stare into it. "logan, how did you even know i was streaming tonight?"

she rolls her eyes when his reply rolls in, claiming that he follows her twitter where she announced it. "it's time for you to go out and do something else besides stalking me, logan," she scoffs jokingly with the roll of her eyes.

"okay, so this is my first twitch stream!" she beams, sitting up straighter as she grabs her mouse. "i'm just waiting for lando to finish setting up, so i'm afraid you guys are stuck with me alone for a couple of minutes. let's get to know each other, i might be doing this pretty often this winter break just to have a bit of a hobby.

"i wanna know what you guys want to see from me."

a comment immediately rolls in.

user1: i wanna see you play fortnite with lando and max

she grins sheepishly, dropping her head. "guys, i'm not much of a gamer. never have been so this is actually my first time-ish touching games in a long while. my longest experience was playing roblox with my younger brother when we were younger."

user2: how about oscar or logan playing some games?

she presses her lips together, thinking of ways she could be able to convince her best friends to join her for some online games. when, neither of them has really dabbled much in the hobby. "i'm sure logan will be pretty keen to try, but i'm not so sure about oscar. i'll try to convince him, though he's back in australia for the majority of the break, unfortunately. the timezone difference is absolutely insane."

“you’ve got phones, yeah?” she grins, “use it instead of flooding my chat.”

she scoffs. "right, guys? can you believe these people?"

the discord sound makes her jump, lando's voice filling up her headphones. "yo, i'm sorry! i was looking for my keyboard."

"where'd you find it, lando?"

"under the bed. apparently, that's where i kept it the last time i streamed," lando laughs. "okay, let's start off with a little horror game? it's called phasmophobia."

"a scary game?" she looks at the camera. "why would i willingly play that?"

"lando, i'm gonna kill you!" she screeches, eyes closing as the creepy sounds from the game boost in her headphones. she peeks through her eye, watching the two hands on her screen before the screen goes foggy.

lando's laughter replaces the eerie sounds of the game, making her roll her eyes. "i told you to hide and close the door!”

“i didn’t know where the stupid door even was!” she screams back, slamming the table. “lando, i don’t wanna play this game anymore!”

“but it’s so fun!”

“lando!”

logansargeant: that was funny

she turns to the camera with a lopsided grin. “chat, tell lando you don’t wanna see me scream in phasmo anymore please. i’m sick of this game, i’ve got no idea what i’m doing, and i haven’t guessed the ghost correctly this entire time.”

logansargeant: keep playing phasmophobia u pussy

“costs money?” she repeats, confusion on her face. “max? do you need financial aid?”

“lando, where am i going?” max shouts, her character watching max’s go around in circles, flickering the flashlight on and off. “what am i even supposed to do?”

teaching one person how to play a complicated game like phasmophobia is easy. teaching two, however, is absolutely absurd. lando doesn’t know how much more of this he can take.

“lando, there’s something written in the book!” she cheers, crouching her character down. she leans into her monitor as she tries to make out what it says. “bitch, it says run!”

she quickly gets up and walks out. “don’t have to tell me twice.”

“run where?” max shouts, his character still running in circles. “(y/n), where are you? escort me out.”

“guys, just stay inside the house and help me out!” lando whines, his character flickering the flashlight at max’s. “turn around, max. i’m here with you.”

“i’m going to the van.”

“no, you’re not! come here and camp the ghost with us!”

“absolutely not! i’m so scared shitless!”

“we should’ve just played fortnite, you know.”

“guys, please! you just have to hold the equipment for me.”

“i figured what type of ghost it is!” lando cheers. “follow me, max. let’s get out of this stupid house and play your stupid fortnite or something.”

“oh, how lovely! i saw (y/n)’s chat… something about valorant,” max mutters, following lando through the dark house. “i’ve seen that on tiktok and it looks kinda- lando, why’d you close the door?”

“i told you i saw the ghost lurking more than usual,” she mutters.

“i don’t even know what that means!” max shouts.

“i didn’t close the door, mate!” lando laughs. “go and hide in a room, max!”

“where? i don’t know where to go!” max screams, frantically running around in hopes of finding solace somewhere.

her character follows behind the entity in the game, clearly running around to find max. “oh, she’s coming for you, max! she’s angry!”

“i don’t know where to go!” max screams, his character running by the entryway in confusion. “lando, where do i go?”

“max, she’s coming! go in the closet!”

“what closet? oh, okay! i see it!”

“close the door, max!”

“what door- oh! okay!”

“did he live?”

“i think so. the ghost is lurking outside max’s door,” she grins into the camera, watching the entity walk back and forth outside the room max is in.

“don’t come out yet.”

“not even a chance, mate.”

“okay, she’s gone,” she sighs. “i’m gonna log out and create an account on fortnite.”

“we’re not gonna play valorant?”

“okay, chat, we’re waiting for oscar to finish the tutorial,” she smiles. “we should be in our first game in a couple of minutes.”

“are you actually intellectually hindered, mate?” she cries with a laugh, covering her eyes. “do you not frequent a laptop?”

“it shows,” oscar adds on.

“let’s do a quick test game,” dalton mutters as logan’s in-game name pops up on the screen. “just a short game.”

“with real people?” lando asks in a small voice. “that can trash talk me?”

“just trash talk them back, mate,” max answers. “easy.”

“just find their ip address and hit them,” logan suggests. “that’s easier.”

“what?”

“don’t pretend like you wouldn’t do it too, (y/n)!” logan whines. “come on, let’s start!”

“how do i defuse the spike?” max screams, looking at the ground as he runs around. “where even is it?”

“your left,” dalton says. “keep walking.”

blythe is now sat next to her older sister, leg propped up in her seat as she watches the screen.

“okay, okay, go to the right and look right here,” blythe mutters, pointing at the screen. “and then aim right here,” she adjusts her sister’s mouse, “when you see somebody, shoot.”

“that’s not fair. (y/n)’s literally got a pro helping her with the game,” oscar complains.

“you’re dead. literally doesn’t matter if someone’s helping you or not,” logan states. “we suck, man.”

“okay, i figured out how to defuse the bomb,” max says softly. “what now?”

“learn to play better,” blythe says loud enough for the microphone to pick up her voice. “i’ll teach you guys.”

“thank you for tuning into my stream,” she grins with a clap. “i appreciate all of the support and teaching me how to play the games. and roasting me.”

your boyfriend is quite a popular person on the Internet. sometimes it gets in the way, but not too much to the point of shouting or being in any way indignant at his fans who intercepted you today before going to the store to take a photo with him and chat a little.

you, of course, were proud of your boy, admired how much he does for his audience and simply loved him. but you yourself were a little afraid to show up on his social networks, be it a stream, a video on YouTube or simple photos on Twitter or Instagram. after all, who knows how his community will react to the fact that he is with you, and not with someone as popular as himself. that’s why you stayed slightly away every time strangers ran up to him to take pictures or give him something. but at some important events for Quackity, you were still present as his quiet companion (unless, of course, you were busy on the dates of these events).

your jittery thoughts are driven away by a large hand on your shoulder, and you turn your head to see Alex sigh, smiling softly. a signal that he is all at your disposal again. a smile spontaneously creeps onto your lips, which makes your eyes wrinkle and you remove his hand from your shoulder, squeezing it while you lead him to the doors of the store.

today is the day when you again need to purchase various goods and food for home for the week ahead, so that later you don’t have to run back and forth several times a day for some little thing. you and Alex usually make lists of groceries and other stray items for the house together, so that later you can split up at the store and collect everything you need. but this time the list of necessities was... much longer than before.

you raise your eyebrows questioningly, running your eyes over the lines on your phone while your boyfriend takes the cart and “drives up” to you with a slight smile.

– Is something wrong, sweetheart?-

– no, everything is fine.- you nod, scrolling through the notes tab and bringing your mobile phone to your lover’s face. – you added this, right? are you planning something?-

his face is so easy to read. surprise and slight embarrassment for something. he chuckles and then nods, unsticking himself from the cart and moving closer to you.

– exactly, I completely forgot... tomorrow around lunchtime I’m planning to do a cooking stream, so I thought that I should buy everything today so that I don’t have to fuss tomorrow morning.- he shrugs casually and you giggle, nodding.

– okaay, then let's go.- you hum, grabbing the handles of the basket, and together you walk through the departments, talking about a variety of different things along the way. no matter how much time and attention you devote to communication, you never run out of topics to talk about. and that's great.

being in a relationship with this guy means that there will be a lot of laughter in your life and a lot of stomach pain from that same laughter. a lot of jokes and stupid faces or actions, like children, but the main thing is that you two feel good about it. at least you are not bored or hard in each other’s presence.

but even though your relationship is as serious as two teenagers in love just playing with each other, you can be calm and quietly be in each other’s company when someone needs it.

so you are now standing in one of the flour baking departments and choosing bread and something else. Alex rests his chin comfortably on your shoulder and his arms wrap around your waist, gently stroking your stomach through the fabric of your sweatshirt as you read the labels.

– you’d better go and grab some drinks and move on down the list instead of standing around me like a little child, Alex.-

– but it’s so comfortable here..- he whines, pulling you closer to him so that you almost drop the groceries from your hands.

– oh god..-

after about an hour or two.. not so important.. you leave the store premises with several rather large packages and head to the car, which is parked somewhere on the edge of the parking lot for safety. Quackity takes out the keys, unlocks the car and opens the rear passenger doors to throw groceries in there.

the road to the joint housing goes quite smoothly, the two of you either sang along to some songs from his playlist or talked about nothing, joked and laughed.

after you arrived home and together put all the groceries and other things in their places - you both went about your business in order to calmly spend the rest of the evening without much stress and finish some things in order to fall into bed with a calm soul in gentle hugs and kisses each other. Alex doesn't even close the door in his office, just sitting at his desk with the computer on and typing something into documents while you do the same, but in spreadsheets on your laptop while sitting in the kitchen. at about seven in the evening, when you look at the clock and think that it’s time to have a snack, or even cook a full dinner, because after all, you have another stomach that needs to be fed at least two or three times a day.

you put your hair in a ponytail and drum your fingers on the table, scrolling through a huge number of dish options in your head and choosing one of them to begin completing the task you have set for yourself.

the oil in the frying pan is sizzling, the clock is ticking and you quietly hum a random melody under your breath, resting your fist on your own thigh while you mix the ingredients in the dishes.

you're not bad at cooking, quite the opposite. you're good with a knife, and you can measure things by eye when you add them to a mixture. the timekeeping can be a bit lame, but that's what the phone is for! so it's not too bad. you're a good cook. that's why Quackity loves to eat things prepared by you, by your gentle hands. when you dine together at home he can often strike up a conversation about you being too good, and will make a joke about even being prepared to pay for such meals. for which he gets a slap on the forehead and your muttering.

you carefully place the portion on a plate, trying to keep it presentable, and make some hot tea, grabbing some bread and cutlery before heading down the corridor to his office. it was one of those times when he wasn't streaming, or talking to friends or colleagues on the phone, but just sitting silently in a chair reading or writing something. at this point, if you don't want to, you catch yourself asking "is he even home?" yes, he is. just very, very quiet.

you shuffle over to the ajar door and peek inside, checking the situation inside. he's sitting there, barely moving, apart from his fingers running over the keyboard. with a slight sigh, you call out to him quietly, making him turn his head in your direction.

– can I?-

– you can-

you carefully slip into his office, not even bothering to close or even close the door of his office behind you as you approach his desk because he didn't shut it down in the first place. a light kiss remains on his forehead, squeezing out a quiet chuckle from him at the sound of you setting down the dishes next to his keyboard. - bon appetit. - comes out of the lips as quietly as before. and you are already thinking about running back, because, oddly enough, you yourself want to replenish your energy with food and just enjoy the taste of the dish prepared by your hands, but you are stopped when you feel a weight on your wrist. Alex grabbed your hand and smiles stupidly, looking at you, but this grin fades into a calm and even serious expression on his face when your eyes meet.

– listen..- you calmly but still nod in surprise, allowing him to continue his thought while he fiddles with the sleeve of your sweater. – would you like to join me tomorrow on.. stream?..-

– you are sure?-

his eyes widen at such a sharp answer from you and a small smile tugs at the corners of his lips, causing him to nod vigorously at your question.

the thoughts in your head are spinning chaotically every second that you stand here in front of him, every second that he holds you next to him, but you don’t mind. you're just worried. this will probably be the first time you're not just a voiceover or a ghost in his house, which was the reason for the overturned bottle of water somewhere in the background of his screams and laughter. will you be there. everyone will see you. will be watching you. this is scary. but his hand soothes, his soft movements soothe. male fingers gently stroke your skin through the thick fabric of your sweatshirt in circular movements, which are repeated until he sees a smile on your bitten scarlet lips. he loves it when you smile. and you loves when he's happy.

– I'll try..-

from the very morning, as soon as the rays of the sun touched the floor of your apartment, you couldn’t stop being moved by how joyful he was. because who wouldn't be happy to have fun with their partner and at the same time provide content to their viewers?? Alex was almost jumping. he smiled and laughed while he fixed the installation on the kitchen unit, prepared food and arranged all the necessary utensils for preparing a variety of things. you just sit on the chair, resting your chin on your palm and looking at your boyfriend, who giggles every time your eyes meet. what a child he is. is yours.

the smile doesn't leave his lips at all until X moment, when his fingers dance across the keys and tweet about the live broadcast in half an hour or an hour. This is where it gets a little alarming. a small lump comes to his throat from various thoughts and simple excitement, and he sees it. reads like an open book.

Alex is always careful with you, so incredibly gentle that others would probably laugh at him when they see this, but he won’t care, he loves. love you. his hands gently wrap around your shoulders, squeezing and stroking them every now and then as he holds you close and rocks you both lightly, humming.

– everything will be fine. I’m nearby, and I won’t leave you alone with thousands of people on the other side of the screen.- his whisper sounds so close, so quiet, but you hear every word, feel it and try to take a stupid breath. right. he's always right when it comes to this.

– well, if you try to leave me, I’ll just throw something at you so that you don’t run even further away from me.- you casually shrug, joining his little dance in the form of swaying your hips from side to side and hear his laugh.

the time for thinking is over when your lover starts the broadcast and the screen shows a picture of a TV set with "start soon" blinking on and off. the chat flies by, giving you no opportunity to read the individual messages that catch your attention. they appear and disappear in the same second, you grin. folding your hands behind your back you step outside the camera behind the apron and seem to hear your boyfriend start talking to the audience. with a questioning glance in his direction you make sure he's just talking, not yet putting the camera recording on the screens.

everything is going relatively well from the moment the stream starts, Alex is talking to the viewers, sometimes shrieking and laughing, telling the latest news from recent trips and events he's been to. and then he stops talking.

– by the way, chat, do you think I'm alone here?- he provokes. the messages are flying again and the answers of the viewers vary, someone says that yes, you are alone, someone says something nice, saying, "of course not, we are here with you", and someone is already launching theories about a possible person behind the scenes. pressing your lips you are waiting for his next words, actions.

– I'm not alone,- he stretches out with a smile, coming to the edge of the camera's grip and extending his hand to you. your heart pounds in your eardrums, drowning out the other noise as you squeeze his hand and step into the frame. - I've got this beautiful person here with me.

everything is going surprisingly calmly and well. maybe... just the calm before the storm. and if you thought so - you would be damn right.

at first everything was really good, you just stood slightly to the side, talking with the chat while Quackity cut food for something, and also asked you to serve him this or that, and of course you helped without refusal. sometimes they helped with words, sometimes they did everything themselves. jokes came out of your mouth as soon as you felt more comfortable, you laughed and joked back, jostled a little and smiled a lot, a lot.

but at what point did everything go... wrong? or was everything right, but from the point of view of having fun? who knows...

I guess... it all started when Alex jokingly threw a towel at you, and you threw it back. so there was running around the kitchen for five minutes until you were eventually squeezed into a corner.

– oh fuck..-

– gotcha.-

– mister, I won’t cook for you anymore if you do anything to me..-

– oh, you will, sorry carinõ.-

after that there were a lot of screams, squeaks and other noise, because this guy’s fingers are fast and nimble, and he knows your weak spots in order to make you squirm under him and laugh at the top of your lungs while he tickles your ribs. you squirm at this, try to dodge him and accidentally knock over the molds of raw dough onto the floor with a loud crash. you both died laughing.

next - a fight with flour. why? because.

Alex hastily pours some flour into his hand and clenches his fist so as not to give away his evil plan on you while you try to wipe the floor with a rag outside the camera area. he smiles and puts a finger to his lips, signaling to the audience to "be quiet" and chuckles quietly. When you ask what he’s doing, Quackity shrugs, pretending to be an innocent lamb until you get up and look at him. boom. flour on your face. you sigh dramatically, starting to cough as the guy jumps back laughing, expecting a retaliatory attack from you. and of course you do. grabbing a bag of flour, you go in his direction, and in the vastness of the kitchen you can hear cries for help from your lover when he runs out of the frame and quickly walks around the kitchen island to make it harder for you to get to him and sticks out his tongue, teasing.

with your hands sticky from dough and white from flour, you just run around the kitchen, trying to hide from this man at least behind something. be it a chair or a cupboard door. grabbing the back of the chair that Alex brought so that you could sit peacefully in the back - you block him and yourself with this little wall, trying to protect yourself from his touch.

– Alex! I'm wearing a new sweatshirt!-

– I'm wearing my favorite black shirt, but you didn't stop me from getting dough on it!-

– noooo!- you squeal like a little kid who's been scared out of his mind as he snatches the chair from you and catches you in his arms, running his dirty hands down your back as if on purpose. you whimper, hiding your defeat in his shoulder as a victorious smirk spreads across his lips and he laughs, pulling you closer and kissing you on the temple.

– awww but you know I love you, right?-

– yeah-yeah, clean up this mess first, then we can talk about you conquering the world for me like you said when you were drunk..-

– I thought you'd forgotten about that...-

– and you're supposed to wash my sweatshirt, asshole.-

what I hated regarding Aemond in show :-

now things I accept that Aemond not killing Luce was very much wrong and I hated that too. Because it was not good for plot tbh for me. It's just messing up with already messed up world building. Aemond as a villian got a very much reason to Luce n y should he not ? now that's thing I genuinely think that was done wrong regarding Aemond's character, people hating it is very much justified because it very much makes luc's death stupid rather than sad.

But making up reasons like they gave everything to Aemond like they didn't made Aemond totally bad during drift mark scene as we get sympathy for rhaena n we understood her reason for being angry on Aemond atleast n Aemond insulting her. but in books it's lit Nyra's kids who were not minding their own business n Aemond was just beating them n throwing them far away from him instead of killing them with rock like in the show but ofcourse this wasn't visible to team black Stans. oh my god SO sorry this took me a hundred years to get to! i got busy and lost track of this au…but it has been reborn in the form of my nanowrimo project LOL. you (and anyone/everyone) should continue to ask me about the pacific rim au please and thank you. so many things have changed since my first posts !!!!! 

also this ask did remind me that kuroken were going to be the scientists, which i had lowkey almost forgotten about when i restarted the fic on april 1, so ty ty ty for that. here’s some more about them and the jaegers under the cut ! 

kuroken: 

first off, they didn’t know each other before coming to work at the shatterdome together! the only people who knew each other before coming together in tokyo were iwaizumi and oikawa, the rest of the haikyuu characters involved have never met before. there will be no explanation for this

kenma was recruited in his first year of university because he was posting his theories and amateur research online and it caught the attention of people with resources who wanted to see if he could find anything if given access to more tech and info than his dorm room gamer setup 

turns out that yes, yes he can find things if given more resources. he’s the one who comes up with the theory about kaiju attack patterns and the increasing rate etc etc 

kuroo, for his part, became a researcher in the science dept after incessantly sending his findings to whoever he could get in contact with, knowing he was On To Something and needed resources to share it

kenma is one of the people he gave his research to (twitter besties!), and kenma invited him to the tokyo shatterdome to work together

turns out that working together is frustrating sometimes but they love nothing more than to constantly annoy each other <3 but they do respect each other’s work even if they don’t always agree on methods or conclusions 

ex. kuroo’s research was founded on samples he got from the black market; kenma’s research is all too theoretical for kuroo; etc etc

so ngl i forgot that asahi was originally a part of this

anyways daichi and suga now pilot a mark-3 together called raptor flight. i’m imagining something like saber athena, which is from uprising but who cares. i can do whatever i want 

most important features of raptor-2: fastest model to date, extremely acrobatic/dextrous/agile, equipped with ionic twinblades (she gets two swords <3 ) that can be synced/combined into one stronger weapon (are you seeing the references i am making. are you seeing them), and an n-16 particle charger (plasma cannon thing) 

i’ve decided that asahi is the main tech for raptor-2 (hey he’s still here! yay!). he was also the main designer and tech for daichi and his sister’s jaeger, ursa juliet, before his sister dies and the model is ripped apart 

daichi is on the right in both raptor-2 and ursa juliet; suga is on the left in raptor-2

blue castle is going to be vaguely modeled after striker eureka 

trivia fun fact of the day: striker eureka was planned to be the main jaeger in the movie until they were like well actually this robot is too cold and arrogant appearing to be the hero robot. this is deeply funny to me and also why it is perfect for blue castle 

blue castle is a mark-2 and was an experimental design by two intern jaeger tech development scientists, hanamaki and matsukawa (who get promoted to active jaeger techs as soon as blue castle is successfully put into use) - as the years go on, this design becomes a pretty common basis to design off of for future models 

most important features: extremely strong, aerodynamic, stable, and agile, equipped with 4.211 brass knuckles (exactly what it sounds like) and assault mount 3.25 sting blades (two swords attached to arms), missile launcher mounted in the chest, and advanced displays in the conn-pod which allow them a 4-way view of their surroundings

also not unexpected, but worth saying: iwaizumi is on the left, oikawa on the right

social anxiety online

i used to have rly bad social anxiety online and after the social anxiety talk during aksel's stream yesterday i decided to compile some things that have helped me feel more comfortable interacting with people online. also, yes this is a little bit inspired by aksel's comfort media tumblr post :p

twitch

i think the easiest way to start getting yourself out there online is by chatting during streams. you could start by only sending emotes in chat. a lot of emotes are bttv emotes so make sure you have bttv installed. there is also a bttv setting that allows you to tab emotes, so you won't have to type them out completly. usually the chat reacts to certain parts of the stream the exact same way, so you could copy the emotes you see in chat. i would sometimes even wait for other people to start sending emotes and then i would just copy them lol. it's a nice way to get yourself out there while still also being hidden in the crowd. since everyone is sending the same emotes you won't stand out.

once you feel a bit more comfortable sending emotes you could try sending some chat messages. i feel like this is easier to do when the chat is moving fast, since there is a smaller chance of standing out and getting unwanted attention from anyone really. also sending small messages like 'hi' or 'bye' to people is another way to move on from only sending emotes.

i know social anxiety also entails a lot of observing, so if this is too much for you right now that's fine! look at what other people are doing and you will get a hang of the vibe eventually. then whenever you feel comfortable you could start chatting, if you want to obviously.

twitter

i wanted to include twitter in here too, because i think that sense of community mostly happens on twitter. another reason is because twitter is a lot scarier compared to a twitch chat, in my experience at least. so i thought it might be helpful to share how i got over that anxiety on twitter.

by being on twitter, you're being a lot more vulnerable i feel like. in comparison to a twitch chat where you are all in one chat, on twitter you're kind of on your own. they're your tweets, it's your profile.. it is a lot more personal is what im trying to say. the aksually mental illness community can be a great start to find people. i personally don't go much in there, but i've seen some people posting in there regularly. by interacting with those people you can start building your own 'network' online and finding friends! follow people, like tweets and maybe even comment under people's tweets if you feel like you're able to do that. i remember being so anxious about replying to people's tweets. sometimes i even had to put my phone down after replying because it gave me so much anxiety. at the same time i think that also helped me in a way. it is ok to send a tweet, close ur phone and act like nothing even happened. this can be hard, but closing twitter after something so anxiety inducing, i think, can help you not to overthink your actions.

after a while you'll start to realize that it might not be as scary as you thought it would be. also there is a lot of sweet and kind people online. i am forever thankful to the people, who i would now call friends, in this community who accepted me with open arms. sometimes it only takes one person to be kind to you, for you to realize it is all ok.

i hope this was helpful in some kind of way. social anxiety can be so isolating. it can make it really hard to navigate your way in life, whether that is online or offline. getting yourself out there online can be the first steps to overcoming or at least lessening that anxiety, and i wish that for everyone who's also struggling with it. <3

Hi! This is a very short review of Sabrina Carpenter's "emails i can't send" album!

I first posted this on twitter and I have to describe my thoughts with the characrer limit so some are very short!

Thoughts:

This made me cry since it made me revisit a not so happy memory which caused me trust issues lol.

Anyway i like how it is so raw and honest. I also love the melody.

2. Vicious

Thoughts:

Very catchy. I love the instrumental. The bridge was also good. I added this on my playlist~ It also reminded me of someone I know who fits the song perfectly

💋) due to my horrific attention span these days, I really don’t read all too much anymore and if I do, it’s usually on ao3. however, in the past, I’ve always commented about how the piece makes me feel and the events that happened that stuck out to me. Ooooh, or phrases they used that sound particularly pretty to me, I always love complementing on their use descriptions <33

🕯) this one’s rather difficult, but I suppose, go forward with the thought of not everyone is nice in this space, but not everyone is mean either. It’s a mixture of many different people all with a shared interest, and you’ll find someone to connect with over it at some point. And I think uplifting one another, commenting and sharing each other’s works, is really what glues the community together. It creates connections, helps the author feel good about themselves and their talent, overall it’s a very positive experience. I don’t have a lot of moots but the ones that I do make this experience far more pleasant, and communicating with others who share the same interests as you is precious :,). About anxiety, pace yourself and realise that this is not a race, it’s a marathon. You don’t have to push yourself to deal with negativity or rush to get content out. If it’s stressing you out, take a break or slow yourself down. You might find that’s exactly what you need sometimes !!

I think the key points that you’re missing in all of that is ‘Twitter’ and ‘minors’ tbh

Twitter is a cesspool where it feels like people join in on pointless debates and arguments for no reason. I’m not trying to invalidate what you’ve experienced but I would caution you not to lump every single Levi fan (or Eren fan or whoever else for that matter) in as one entity that all shares the same opinion. Like anything else, the loudest people are the ones who get heard and I have never in my four or five years of participating in this fandom run across a Levi fan who has cared about his popularity. Just like I have never met an Eren fan (apart from the anon who’s been harassing Levi writers for weeks) or an Erwin fan or a mikasa fan etc who cares about their favorite character’s popularity.

It’s children. Because when you’re a child, you care about being popular and you care about the popularity of others. And that’s not saying that they’re stupid or silly or whatever, because that’s just how kids are. I cared about that kind of shit when I was a kid too.

And of course they’re all complex characters. They’re all tragic too in their own unique ways. But someone focusing on their special character that they particularly like above the rest doesn’t mean that they think the other characters aren’t also complex and unworthy of attention. It's just not about Chris, but I read a thread yesterday where the topic was how people have become more and more obsessed with negativity and spend so much time focusing on who and what they hate, rather than spend it on focusing things and people they love,especially when it comes to pop culture. Like how there's a million posts,memes,commentary vids and threads discussing who they hate,why they hate,who's the worst,why is something bad instead of spending their energy doing the opposite.

I actually agree with it. I wouldn't say it's all on people becoming more and more cynical but also because these kinds of topics get more attention on the internet. YouTube vids and twitter threads pointing out why some show or actor or singer sucks,how much they've fucked up in life and are toxic to society will do better numbers than someone appreciating something. Like hell some people are like appreciation=corny or childish.

What's ur take on this?

My take, to boil it down to brass tacks, is that we've all become victims of algorithms. This is our brains being reprogrammed by the algorithms that run big social media sites, especially anything connected to Facebook. Once you're in the narrative that algorithm creates, it's very hard to escape. It's how people become fanatical and disconnected.

Now, that doesn't absolve people of their own responsibility of how they approach life. I know, ultimately, that I am the only captain of my very own Good Ship Happiness. But all the stressors and gauntlets of life make it far too easy to get fractured away from happiness and well-being. It's all too easy to fall down the rabbit hole when you don't realize your toes are at the very edge. And, let's face it - angry or disgruntled voices shout louder, so they take up more of our attention. It's easier to listen to them than drown them out.

The other problem is that in some ways our brains are hardwired for disaster. It's part of that fight or flight pattern. We're more subconsciously attracted to the bad/horrible because it amps up or anxiety and makes us hyper-focus. And then that's all we can see, that endless tidal wave of shit and negativity that feeds on itself and on us.

Wow, I don't know, I guess I'm pretty cynical. I think the world would be a far better place if people (ie: the Murdochs, etc.) didn't make a buttload of money off hyping the worst of all possibilities. But they don't sell viewership and ads with hope, unfortunately.

Eren adjusted his mic as the stream began, it was a Friday night and he was doing his usual nightly stream. He talked about it on Twitter so he expected a lot of people to be tuning in tonight, as well as it was a Friday night and not many people had school the next day.

"What's up guys?" Eren said as he watched the views begin to go up and the viewers tuned in.

He watched people type in the chat sending the usual 'hi eren!' or the 'hey eren!' he was used to the these messages, a smile forming onto his face.

"Good to see you guys here again! I honestly have no idea what I'm gonna play tonight but we'll go with it," he said, looking at the different chats.

He began to read the different messages that were being sent, some people complimented him or asked how his day was to which he responded with 'thank you' or 'my night has been great'.

Eren was a popular streamer.

He gained popularity within a few months after he streamed with some pretty well known streamers, his raging and yelling is what got him noticed by people, as well as his appearance. People got a kick out of him all the time and he was definitely going places.

Eren was cute, he had emerald-like eyes, brown hair, a sly sexy smile, and he always looked amazing no matter what. It attracted female attention as well as some males, Eren didn't mind it though, he loved interacting with fans on a daily basis; he also had a pretty big fanbase with 400k followers on Twitter and 90k Instagram followers. They were all amazing people and Eren couldn't ask for better.

His rage was something people found to be hilarious, there were compilations of him yelling at Call of Duty or screaming when playing the popular horror games. There was also this one time Eren's mom walked in and yelled at him when he was being too loud, and people found it to be hilarious.

He called his fans the 'Jaegerists', his fanbase was very sweet and there was rarely any toxicity in it. Which in Eren's opinion, was very relieving.

When Eren got popular he was very nervous of the issues that came with it, sometimes people would recognize him on the street or people in his classes would bring up his streams. It was something Eren enjoyed, but he tended to keep his streaming life out of his personal life. It was also a request by Carla, his mother. She told Eren to be careful and always be wary of the internet.

He did exactly that and here he was now, sitting with 7k people watching him.

"What should I play tonight? I was thinking we could do Cold War or Minecraft, but being honest Cold War is a bit boring right now; so let me know guys!" Eren said, scrolling through his chat.

Within seconds people began replying saying either Cold War or Minecraft.

Suddenly, a few notifications started popping in from a few of his viewers.

Eren smiled as he got the donations, it was common for his viewers to donate to him and he was very thankful for it. He never begged his fans for donations or any of that and that's what people liked about Eren, he never asked for anything other than love and kindness.

"Thank you to those who donated! You're all amazing!" he said with a smile.

The usual kudos came into chat and people sent in hearts to the chat which made Eren feel 10x more happier, he enjoyed what his fans were doing for him and he was so thankful.

"Alright I think Minecraft won.. so today we're gonna do that," Eren added, narrowing his eyes a bit at the different chats which suggested the game.

Eren skimmed through his computer and began to load the game, it took a few moments but the main screen popped up and Eren put on his headset.

His eyes averted to the chat's people were sending in.

"I feel like a mess right now but thank you guys, really. What music should I play tonight? Let me know in the chat," he said before turning back to the screen and entering his world.

It was pretty common for Eren to stream during the night, he doesn't really have the time during the day to stream since he has school and other important personal things to deal with.

He scrolled through the chats with different artists and songs, "You guys want Pop Smoke? I played him last time.. how about some The Kid Laroi? He has some good songs," he said, clicking through to find his spotify.

Eren clicked on a random song and went back to Minecraft, he started by running around and organizing his items because a few people in the chat were complaining about his inventory.

"Oh shush! Not everyone is perfect! My house is dope okay?" Eren said before chuckling a bit.

Suddenly, a few notifications came through which caught Eren's attention.

That was surprising.. not many people donate three times in a row, and with that many coins either.

Eren watched as the user moved from the bottom of the donation list to the very top, whoever it was, they were donating a lot of coins to him.

"Yo! Y/nloveseren! Thank you for your donations!" he said, smiling to himself.

A few chats suddenly bubbled in.

jaegerist45: damn whoever that is they donated a lot.

Eren smiled at the message, "Nah thank YOU for donating! It's appreciated," he replied.

As Eren continued playing Minecraft throughout the night y/nloveseren continued to donate to him, they ended up donating about five or six times after and it was surprising for him. He hadn't ever seen this person in his streams before, he tends to remember usernames, but theirs didn't ring much of a bell. They must have been a silent viewer.

"You guys can ask some questions by the way! It's only midnight and I really wanna hear from you guys," he said, taking a sip of his water bottle.

Questions began to fill into the chat.

jaegerbombbbb21: eren will you ever play outlast?

erensimp34: how tall are you eren?

jaegerist0123: does ur mom know about u streaming?

Eren skimmed through the different questions, some were the usual and some were odd. "Well to answer, I will play Outlast at some point. I am 6'1, my mom does know I stream, and yes I am single." he replied.

Many reactions came from the chat, people saying how sexy his height was or talking about how he was single.

Eren chuckled a bit, "Yeah I am single.. it's mainly 'cause I never really found anyone who was going to stick around you know?" he said.

y/nloveseren: can i place my minecraft bed next to yours then? ;)

Eren's eyes widened a bit from the message, his cheeks growing a light shade of pink; nobody has ever flirted with him on a stream before. Yeah people have called him sexy or said he was hot, but a flirt was never thrown.

"Y/nloveseren you definitely caught my attention with that.. but sure! I'll let you," he smirked.

The chat suddenly went wild with people sending in messages about what he said, others pointed out his blush or the way he was smirking right now.

Eren smiled to himself, "Alright settle down guys! What they said was nice, okay? Nothing serious."

"Thank you y/nloveseren! Seriously, you are kicking ass tonight," he said. "I'm definitely not the cutest but thank you, really!"

Within the next few hours, Eren and a few other viewers chatted about new games and a few embarrassing stories Eren told them. The one person who stood out to him though, was y/nloveseren. They donated a lot that night and Eren even chatted with them.

"Alright guys! I'll see you all soon! Goodnight," Eren said, waving at the camera.

Eren stopped the stream and leaned back in his chair, who was y/nloveseren? And why couldn't he stop thinking about them?

The next few weeks of streaming were exciting for Eren, a few new games were released and he started playing them for his fans. He gained more popularity from the games as well and he was happy to see new people trickling in.

Though, Eren had another thing to look forward to when streaming.

(Y/N).

He actually ended up finding out her name, yes she was a girl.

During one of his streams he asked a few questions about her, of course she was happy to respond to Eren and he always looked forward to seeing her in his streams. She was his top donater and he was always excited to see her pop in, it was odd; Eren never felt this way before.

She was a fan, someone who looked up to him, yet Eren felt... excited to see her? He would get nervous if he didn't see her join a stream or he'd be disappointed if she left early, it was odd. He wasn't sure why he felt this way.

His fans pointed it out as well, they noticed Eren would smile a lot whenever he spoke to her or he would laugh at her jokes.

Eren never did that, not even with a fan.

He was sitting in his chair, the stream had just started and people began to fill in, he was going to play a bit of Call of Duty and then he would chill.

"What's up guys? How are we doing today?" Eren asked, looking at the screen.

Eren smiled seeing her pop into the chat, "I'm good guys, hi (Y/N). Good to see you," he replied.

As Eren played the game he couldn't help but look over to see if (Y/N) ever talked, he didn't want to miss a message from her. Sometimes he got so distracted he would end up dying or losing a round, a lot of people took notice.

"Bro Call of Duty makes me so mad," Eren said, his brows pinching together as he focused on the screen. "Maybe I should uh.." he trailed off as he looked at the chat.

Suddenly, his controller vibrated and it showed his character dying.

"Fuck!" Eren yelled, rolling his eyes. He then turned off the game and leaned back in his chair, he was clearly mad; his rage was something that entertained people and this was no different.

y/nloveseren: eren? are you okay?

His eyes flickered towards the chat, "Yeah I'm good guys! That shit pissed me off, but I'll head back in." he said, pressing a few buttons to head into the game again.

y/nloveseren: yay!! 🥰 happy Eren is the best Eren!

He smiled to himself again. She always made him smile.. it was something she did to him, she had this effect no other fan could put on him.

"Say (Y/N).. you donate a lot and I always see you here.. yet, I don't think you've ever followed me before," he said, looking at the screen.

The chat began to blow up.

y/nloveseren: i'm just shy 😭 plus i doubt you respond to dms

He ran his fingers through his brunette locks, twirling one of the strands in his fingers. "I do actually respond to dms, but you're shy? That's cute lowkey.. I actually have an idea," he smirked.

y/nloveseren: and that is? 👀

erensimp34: A CHALLENGE? y/n omg

jaegerist45: oh shit.. IM INTERESTED

jaegerbombfan20: SHE GETTING BOLD 😩

"If I win this next round of COD you gotta give me your Instagram," he said, leaning back on his chair.

The chat began to blow up with messages of people hyping (Y/N) up, a grin formed onto Eren's face seeing what people were saying. He hoped that she wasn't uncomfortable with what he said, that's the last thing Eren would ever want.

y/nloveseren: bet, deal.

His eyes widened a bit, "Shit for real? Just know I'm not forcing you, but I'm curious about you."

y/nloveseren: nah! you're fine ;) let's see if you win though

Eren smirked when his eyes scanned over the message, "Alright.. say less," he said.

He entered the game and started playing the round, he made sure to keep extra focused so he wouldn't lose. That was the last thing he wanted, he was interested in what (Y/N) was like; she was definitely intriguing.

Eren pressed his thumbs and fingers into the controller, his grip tight enough that his knuckles were white; his fans even noticed and told him it wasn't that serious, but Eren didn't care. He wanted to win and losing is something Eren hated.

Suddenly the screen flashed the victory and Eren put his hands in the air. "Hell yeah! You guys see that? Jaegerbomb is the winner!" he yelled with a smile on his face.

His chat was going crazy.

Eren's smile widened looking at the chat, he always enjoyed his fans telling him he was doing great.

y/nloveseren: you actually won, damn. i didn't think you would have 😭, but since you did.. you want my instagram?

Eren leaned back in his chair, "Hell yeah! Hand it over," he replied.

y/nloveseren: it's y/n.l/n!

He grabbed his phone and went to Instagram, the chat was blowing up yet again when people saw her actually put her Instagram in. They hyped her up and even told Eren that he was a lucky guy for that.

Eren found her profile instantly, he scrolled through her photos and his eyes went wide; she was gorgeous. Eren was used to pretty girls talking or messaging with him, but she.. she was different and he felt it; he couldn't help but stare at the different photos of her in the mirror or the selfies she had with a pretty smile.

He looked at the chat and moved his headset to the side, "Yo.. guys.." he said, staring at the screen.

Instantly people began asking questions. "Guys.. she is fucking gorgeous, (Y/N) you're so cute holy shit," he said, smiling to himself.

His smile turned into a frown when he saw that (Y/N) wasn't talking in the chat anymore. Did he make her uncomfortable? He didn't force her into sending it, maybe she was uncomfortable and she just didn't want to say anything.

"Yo.. (Y/N) are you there? Shit did I make you uncomfortable? I'm sorry," Eren said, putting his phone on his desk.

He shook his leg watching the different people responding to what was going on, a few people apologized to her; they said that they didn't mean to make her feel weird or force her into telling Eren her Instagram.

His eyes flickered when he saw her name.

Eren felt relief wash over him, "Ugh thank god! I thought I made you feel grossed out! But it's my pleasure.. you are beautiful," he said.

People started to leave messages like 'awe <3' or 'omg guys Eren is so simping right now'. All in all, he found (Y/N) extremely attractive and he decided to follow her, he silently prayed that maybe just maybe.. they would talk outside of the stream.

Eren noticed how late it was, it was currently 2:31 A.M. and he usually went to sleep earlier on Sunday's because of his classes.

"Alright guys! I'm gonna end it here, it is really late where I live so I'm probably gonna head to sleep. Goodnight everyone! Thank you for tuning in!" he said while waving at the camera.

Everyone wished Eren a good night and he ended the stream. He rubbed his tired eyes and went to shut off the light in his room, all he wanted was to relax and get a good night's rest.

He placed his phone onto the nightstand and rolled over to the other side of his bed, his body relaxing into the sheets and comfort of his mattress.

A sudden ping woke him up.

It was odd, nobody usually texted Eren this late except for maybe Armin who reminded him to keep quiet while he studied but Armin was out that night with Annie.

Reaching for his phone, the screen lit up; he had a notification from Instagram. More specifically, a direct message.

He unlocked his phone and noticed he had a dm from (Y/N), she actually texted him; a smile grew onto his face as he opened it up.

(Y/N): hey! i doubt you're awake, but i wanted to message you and say hey <3!

He instantly began typing back.

Eren: hey! i was about to go to bed but i wanted to respond to your message, so you're y/nloveseren right?

Within seconds she viewed the message and began typing again.

(Y/N): haha, yeah that's me! i've been watching you stream for a really long time, but i was a silent fan. i got a job recently and i decided to donate since you have always put a smile on my face lol.

Eren: wow really? that's sick! it's so cool to meet you, i always look forward to seeing your name in my streams 😭. how old are you btw?

(Y/N): it's cool speaking with you too! i'm 19 btw!

Eren was surprised, she was around his age? Some of his fans were under 18 or around 20+, but he was surprised to see someone the same age as him around. Most of the girls around his age weren't interested in streamers or gaming in general.

Eren: say uh.. do you mind maybe, getting to know one another? only if you're cool with it of course

He chewed his bottom lip waiting for a reply back, he wasn't sure what she would say. He didn't want to come off as the creepy streamer who talks to fans and does weird shit with them.

(Y/N): really? sure! i'm down :)!!

He smiled seeing the message, maybe this girl was worth losing sleep over.

Eren spent the last few days talking to (Y/N), he would stay up past 3 A.M. texting with her about life and getting to know her deeper.

The two connected instantly that night, (Y/N) was an university student studying psychology and she had a job at a local cafe near her apartment outside campus. She was interested in gaming and she told Eren that she had been watching his streams for a few months, she found him to be entertaining and he was one of the few streamers that weren't weird.

They shared a lot of the same experiences on a lot of things. Eren told her about the many relationships he had and how the girls instantly thought he was weird or boring for wanting to stream instead of having a career. (Y/N) had just gotten out of a really bad relationship and she told him that her ex found it weird that she watched him.

As much as Eren really liked the vibes he got from (Y/N), he was scared to get close with her. Armin warned him many times about how some 'fans' aren't actually fans, they con people and gain their trust to expose them later. Eren didn't want to be used for money or any of that, that would be the end of him.

Still though, Eren wanted to talk to her more. He hadn't ever gotten like this with a fan before, but maybe.. this could be different?

Eren was laying in bed that night, he decided not to stream because he was tired and he just felt really lazy. He was doing the usual, texting (Y/N) and listening to music.

(Y/N): what are you up to?

Eren: i'm just laying down, listening to music. wbu?

(Y/N): i was wondering if you maybe wanted to.. facetime? of course we don't have to but i feel like it could be cool?

Eren looked up for a second, maybe a facetime would be good; it could help him get to know her more and maybe he could find out if she was looking to fuck around with him.

Eren: sure! here's my number

He sent her his number and sat up, he wanted to look decent for her anyway. He fixed his messy hair and tied it back into a bun, then he zipped up his sweater.

His heart began to race, why was he feeling this way? It was just a fan nothing he couldn't handle, he silently hoped that she wouldn't think he was weird or anything.

His phone suddenly began to ring, he rushed over to his bed and grabbed his phone. It was an unsaved number so he assumed it was (Y/N). He fixed his hair and clicked the green answer button.

"Hey!" Eren said, his smile showing as he saw (Y/N) behind the screen.

She giggled, "Oh my God hi! You're so much cuter behind the screen," she replied.

Eren chuckled, "Thank you.. you're very beautiful yourself."

Her cheeks grew hot, "You're sweet but.. what's up? How are you doing tonight?" she asked with a smile on her face.

Eren leaned back in his chair, "I'm doing good, what about you? Do you work tonight?" he asked.

"No I don't actually.. that's why I decided to call you since I had some free time. Are you streaming today?" she asked.

He shook his head, "Nah.. I uh.. I decided not to since I was tired and I honestly was too lazy to get on," he chuckled.

"Oh Jaegerbomb is lazy huh? That's odd, you usually have so much energy." she giggled.

Eren smiled at her words, "Yeah I'm pretty lazy sometimes.. but y/nloveseren just insisted we facetime," he said in a dramatic tone.

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh shush! I was being sweet and plus I was bored, so be thankful I asked." she said, giggling a bit.

He ran his fingers through his hair. "Oh I see.. but I am thankful! You're a pretty sweet girl (Y/N), I love talking to you."

She felt bashful around him, Eren had this impact on her and she always had butterflies whenever his name popped up into her phone. He was sweet, attractive, exciting, and most of all he was an amazing listener; something (Y/N) never had.

"Thank you, Eren. You're a really sweet guy yourself," she replied, nodding her head to the side.

He propped his phone up on his bed, he adjusted himself so he was a bit comfortable. "Of course! You deserve it (Y/N)," he smiled.

The two talked for hours that night about so many things. They told each other different stories from their childhood, they talked about weird experiences they had, and they even got a bit personal with one another. Eren felt like that was a huge plus, he could never get this personal with anyone.

He loved the vibes he got from (Y/N), she was easy to talk to, funny, sweet, she matched his vibe and the two got along so well.

Eren had his mind made up.

She was worth losing sleep over.

A month or two had gone by since (Y/N) and Eren started talking. They were still very close and they talked pretty much all day everyday, that was something that rarely ever happened with a fan. Most of the time Eren wouldn't speak to fans long.

He considered her a friend, but he knew inside he wanted to be more than friends with her.

He was currently streaming at the moment, he was a bored; not much was going on and he was playing some Minecraft to pass the time. (Y/N) told him earlier in the day that she wouldn't be joining the stream till later because she was working late. It slightly disappointed him, but he knew that her personal life was important.

He sighed, "What do you guys wanna talk about? Ask me anything," he said, looking towards the chat.

A few questions bubbled into his chat, some were questions that he's answered before. But one question actually caught his eye..

He furrowed his brows for a second, why would they be asking about her? Sure, he told people that he was speaking to her and they talked outside of the streams, but nobody really asked.

"What do I think about (Y/N)? Oh, she's dope as hell. I love talking to her, there's a lot more I can say but I dunno.. she might not like it," he replied, leaning back in his chair.

His eyes scanned back over to the chat where everyone was spamming telling him to say it and that she probably wouldn't judge him.

"You guys really want to know?" he asked, sitting up a bit.

Eren let out air through his nose. "Well (Y/N) is a really really sweet girl, she's so nice and easy to talk to. Not to mention how great of a listener she is, her personality is something I value the most about her; she always makes me laugh and talking to her is my favorite part of the day. Most of all, she's beautiful. She's such a pretty girl and.. damn, I'd love to make her mine."

The chat began to blow up with messages.

He smiled at the thought of her. "Yeah call me a simp but... she's really amazing," he said.

His eyes bulged out of his head when he saw her name in the chat, a blush crept onto his cheeks feeling embarrassment washing over him.

"O-Oh shit.."

Everyone began to flood messages about how Eren just got caught, he felt embarrassed and really bashful. She most likely heard everything he just said, what if she was uncomfortable?

"Shit I'm sorry (Y/N).. I shouldn't have said that shit.. we barely know one another and you're probably really upset," Eren said, rubbing his temples.

He sat up, "Really? Wait.. so you're not mad?"

y/nloveseren: no not at all! :) i can say the same about you.. you've definitely been really sweet and i really like you

His jaw dropped and a smile formed onto his features. "Wow.. I have no words. Can we text? Please?" he asked, raising his brows.

y/nloveseren: of course <3!

Eren reached for his phone and saw her typing in their dms, his eyes flickered upwards at the chat which was now going crazy over what they both said to each other.

jaegerist45: dude that's so cute

The vibration of his phone broke him out of his thoughts, he went to Instagram to view the message from her.

(Y/N): hey :), i heard what you said and it really made my day. i was having a shitty day at work and hearing what you said made me so happy, so thank you for that. i like you, eren. i know you may not feel the same but talking to you has been so amazing and i would love to talk to you more ♡.

He smiled before sending a reply.

Eren: i would love to! talking to you has made me so much happier and i'm glad we met. everything i said was true and i want to keep talking, you're amazing.

(Y/N): sounds like a plan ❤.

Eren smiled and looked up to see his chat spamming his name, many people took the hint that he was talking to her.

"I got her guys.." he said with a smile.

first anon in the "future talk" tag here (yes, i am still around haha) and wow, did my predictions hold up. it might be because i was here when MCYT originally went downhill in 2016-2017 too.

the dream smp is definitely dying. the most i could see is a small group banding together for one specific storyline (quackity, wilbur, tubbo, tommy, dream, etcetera) to wrap up, and maybe turn it into a "ooo maybe we'll do lore every once in a while as an epilogue oooo!" thing after an official "conclusion," but other than that.... yeah, it's dead

i agree with all of the "fandom won't die out takes." most of my friends have moved on from it, but they all still have some semblance of attachment and do still make content. i think after it "ends," theres going to be a few months where it's still sort-of big, and the ao3 tags are still gonna be flooded with 14-year-old's vent fics, then it'll die off and a few prominent artists, accounts, and fic authors will reign (mainly on tumblr, as twitter seems to have a much shorter attention span). i'll probably write another fic or two on c!wilbur and c!tommy myself (i'm actually the author of "i can't stand your taste in my mouth," aka @.midastwt on ao3) before wrapping up unless i get a very good idea

if you want my opinion on where the creators are gonna go after this? most of them are gonna branch off to variety or an offline gig (such as tommy with vlogging, tubbo/ranboo variety streams, wilbur music, etcetera) while doing minecraft from time to time. i don't think any of them will up and abandon it, they seem to enjoy it too much. i think the longer-term and older mcyters (technoblade, skeppy, badboyhalo, hbomb, philza, etcetera) are going to stick what they've always done, and stay with minecraft mainly

the people i see struggling will be dream, sapnap, and george. i think sapnap has the most potential to hold a "variety streamer" position, but his popularity's gonna die out (similar with karl). george is.... george, but i think his fanbase is a lot more loyal and dedicated

while dream has a huge fanbase, he also has, allegedly, nothing planned next. he barely streams, least of all what his brand was made of, he barely uploads videos, his music is mediocre at best and is disliked by the wider music scene and basically just kept up by his fans, he has the most controversy, and the wider minecraft scene seems to be getting more and more pissed off at him by the day

we're most likely to see a lot of mcyt content settle back down into mainly small streamers and smps hosted by professionals and veterans of the community. hermitcraft will keep going, the people associated will make other smps and get others involved, and things will return to normal for the community, just slightly bigger

2022-2023, in my mind, are going to be at 2019-scale or smaller (considerably bigger than 2017-2018, with a few big popular creators, but nothing too much). and there's probably gonna be a new revival soon after that, as the kids who grew up with dream and tommyinnit and technoblade rekindle their love of minecraft, and go back to it, and then the cycle will continue

anyway I think most of this is very correct, here are my assorted thoughts on the matter:

big agree on the dsmp. still afraid to officially declare it dead because they have fooled me before, but yeah. I would like to see them at least get a proper ending off though

big Big agree on most old school mcyt staying the same, and with new mcyt finding variety niches. I think tubbo def has a place in the larger twitch community where I don't see ranboo's fame sticking as much long term tbh.

I don't think wilbur is abandoning twitch anytime soon, but you can def see that he is finding that success outside of content creation platforms with Lovejoy. his ability to retain such a solid and large audience even post dsmp hype, along with the more patient and loyal fanbase he's garnered, is going to serve him really well as an indie artist. he's one of the only streamers who's maintained the majority of his growth during the dsmp, and his infrequent but just frequent enough stream schedule and new music hype is only helping to foster that. good job wilbur!

plus, given his track record of finding fame where you least expect it, I doubt he's going anywhere fast

tommy is very interesting to me. already you can see vlogs and the hype around them dying down, although this is definitely partially due to colder weather, but they aren't pulling the blockbuster views they did before as people adjust to it just being a normal thing for creators to vlog together. I'd love to see him sink his teeth into another solid project like the mod videos or his dsmp writing, bc he 100% has the strengths to keep his audience with around, but rn he's bleeding interest

I think most sbi and dteam adjacent streamers are going to settle back down into <10k or probably <5k viewerships, and those smart enough to stick to their brand and provide consistent content will remain on the scene. niki immediately strikes me as someone who has garnered quite a loyal and retainable fanbase by not adhering to trends or collabs with big ccs, where as jack.. not so much (not that I don't love him tho <3)

last thing is that I don't think it's going to shrink quite to 2019 size simply because of just how much larger the audience pool is, but I see the fan climate becoming much more similar

anyway friendly reminder I love all of these ccs and think they are all much cooler and more talented than me. I could not do their jobs half as well, I just like speculating.

it’s fine

Corpse was ever so charismatic. It was something about him that was impossible to deny. Even when he would get misjudged by people, thinking he may be this intimidating presence purely because of how he dressed and sounded, it would only take a few exchanges of sentences between him and a stranger for them to instantly change their mind and feel drawn to him, instead. You knew this better than anyone, after all, it had been one of the factors in what had made you fall for him so hard and so fast.

The only issue was that, sometimes, he could have the same effect on others and, sometimes, when you caught someone else clearly having some heart eyes for your man, that brought forth the little green monster inside of you. He was magnetic, and as happy as you were that the world was so intrigued by him and he was having all the success he deserved, you couldn’t deny that there was a part of you that wished that magnetic pull only worked on you.

It seemed there were certain days when Corpse managed to turn on this charismatic side of him even more so. Today had happened to be one of those days. It was good, because it was a day the two of you had planned to spend together. But when you went out to lunch and the server definitely let her hand rest on his arm a little too long and said things a little too flirtatious and hardly acknowledged your presence, you started to lose that good feeling.

You didn’t say anything about it, even though you kind of wished he would have figured that him giving the girl a back and forth was encouraging her more and upsetting you further. But you were determined to have a good day with your boyfriend, you didn’t want to start any drama with him.

He asked you if you were okay on the way back to his place, noticing you were being quiet. You told him you were and left it at that, even if you did want to say more.

Finally, in the safety of his home that was like a bubble in which was just for the two of you, you were feeling better. Quality time was your love language and his was physical touch, something you could both give each other with ease when there was no outside interruption. Between the little talks, the exploration of hands over each other, the giggles that turned into wiping tears of laughter from your face and shared kisses, you swore you could spend the rest of your life like this and be happy.

And then the bubble burst.

“Ah, shit, (Y/N).” He began, and the mood between you instantly changed.

“What?”

“They need a tenth player right now and no one else can get online.” He had promised that today was about you. And usually, you would be completely okay with him going and joining in on the streams, often you loved sitting by him and watching him get so invested in the games. Except lately, you’d been feeling at an arms length from him and you hated it. You wanted his undivided attention today.

“And?” You were being short with him, you wanted him to know you weren’t okay with this right now.

“It’ll just be a few games...”

You let out a huff and turned your head to the side, looking away from him. You were being stubborn. You didn’t want to tell him what to do, you wanted him to figure it out on his own, that you didn’t want him to play and wanted him to stay right here in this moment with you.

“You can come sit with me?” He spoke again as you remained silent, seemed as if he wasn’t figuring it out.

“Just go play. It’s fine.” It wasn’t fine.

Sitting on your own now, you felt bare without your limbs being all tangled with his beneath the blanket like they were earlier. You had tried to turn on the television to watch something, but everything on just seemed to annoy you.

With a sigh, you pressed your hands to your knees and stood up, walking towards Corpses gaming room. At first, you were going to walk in, giving in to the want that was craving to be by his side, but upon hearing a number of female voices, that jealousy appeared inside you again and you walked away.

It was slightly irrational, you knew these people were his friends, but today had really gotten to you.

At an attempt to distract yourself, you opened up Tik Tok, but all your for you page seemed to be was more girls wanting your boyfriend.

“Fucking hell.” You said out loud, closing the app and opening up Twitter next. But you should’ve known it would’ve been worse on there, Corpse seemed to be trending every day on that app, you told yourself you really should have known better for that one.

However, the next social media app click was deliberate. You knew that Corpse had been reposting stories of people using his song and you decided on treating yourself to some more sweet torture. And sure enough, his story was filled with more girls. Firing that jealousy and insecurity you had been feeling today even more.

“Fuck this.” You announced, standing to your feet and feeling tears of frustration build in your eyes.

Once you had finished gathering your belongings, you were just about to make an exit when that crazy thing of timing pulled a fast one on you as Corpse emerged from his gaming room.

“What are you doing?” He questioned you, spotting your hand gripping the handle on his front door.

Seeing him should’ve made you feel better, but it only caused more tears to well up, so you quickly looked away from him.

“I’m going home.”

“What-no, why?” He came closer to you then and you turned more towards the door.

“Because you obviously don’t want me here.”

“What the fuck? (Y/N), of course I do. What are you even saying right now?” He was by your side now, grabbing your hand from the handle and holding it in his. His other went up to cup your cheek, tilting your head up to face him and that’s when he saw the glaze of tears in your eyes. “Hey, baby,” Worry sparked up in him. “You’re upset...” He stated the obvious and you shook your head out of his grip, directing your vision to the ground.

You thought he might create some distance between you both when you did that, but instead, he did the opposite. He pulled you into a tight hug, one arm wrapping snugly around your waist and his other hand resting on the back of your head to encourage you against him.

“Don’t, I’m going.” You spoke, but your words were meek, you didn’t actually want to leave and he knew that.

“No. You’re not.” He argued back, his arms pulling you in even closer. “I want you here.” He told you and that’s what made you snap.

“No you don’t!” Your voice got louder, matching the movements of you bracing your arms against him and pushing him back, breaking the human contact. He was in shock, watching you with cautious eyes. “If you did, you would’ve spent time with me and only me today. You wouldn’t have left me alone!” You became more emotional as you spoke, a few tears managing to spill onto your cheeks.

“Baby-”

“No!” You cut him off. “Don’t ‘baby’ me right now.” You took a moment to wipe under your eyes before continuing because you knew this next admission would cause you some more tears. “You know how hard it is to compete it with every other girl who’s all about you right now? They’re everywhere, and they’re all so fucking beautiful. I know you see them, I’m not them, Corpse.” Your voice broke into a sob as his name left your lips and he felt his heart break to see you in that state.

He wasn’t sure if you still needed space, but he couldn’t stand in front of you while you cried and not do anything. So instead, he once again brought his arms around you, but this time he scooped you up, encouraging your legs to hook over his hips so he could carry you.

You continued to cry against his neck as he walked the both of you to his room and when he placed you down onto his bed, he was instantly beside you, cradling you against him.

“I need you to listen me,” He began once you had started to calm down, he wanted to make sure you paid attention. “You are so important to me. So fucking important to me, (Y/N).” His eyes were boring into yours and he brought his hand up to wipe the wetness from your cheeks before continuing. “I don’t want you to be anyone else.” He was speaking with force, but it wasn’t aggressive, he was wanting to make sure that you really understood the depth to his words.

“It’s just, everyone seems to want you and I’m just-”

“Don’t you dare put yourself down.” Corpse cut you off before you could finish. For a moment, he pressed his lips to your forehead before moving his face back so he could look at you again. “I only want you. You’re it for me, baby.”

“Do you really mean that?”

“With my whole fucking heart.”

“I love you, I really love you.” You told him, your emotions were still running high, but you were feeling a whole lot better.

“I love you, too.”
