Pa was right. It sounded ridiculous in Tim’s head, the thought that Bruce would forgive Jason his kill count but not Tim being bi.
But Tim’s stomach was still twisting with worry and his head was pounding, because logic couldn’t fix it. He was just gonna be stuck worrying until he went back to the manor and talked to Bruce and heard from him, personally, that it was okay.
“Tim.” Ma’s voice was in his ear.
He lifted his head slightly.
“If you want to tell us, we’ll listen. If not, you can go right on up to Kon’s room and get some sleep. It’s up to you.”
“I’m gay,” Tim said. “Bisexual. I like girls but I also like guys.”

“I’m not going anywhere, you know. We’ll get through this, just like we got through everything else. I mean- we’re not that interesting, right? The press will move on from us eventually.”
He can hear Tim breathing, breathing, in and out, in and out.
“Right. Right. This will all blow over. I’ll put out a statement, we’ll lay low for a little while, something more important and flashy will distract them and then everything will go back to normal.”
“Right.”
A moment of silence.
“Kon, what if Bruce tries to give me The Talk? Shit, Kon, Batman, he’s Batman, Batman might want to talk to me about the Birds and the Bees, Kon- ”
He struggles to keep a straight face, stares up at the blue ceiling, and says, in his best proximity of Batman’s voice, “They’re disappearing at an alarming rate.”

i just caught up on the sugar daddy au and please please tell me you have fic recs!! i need more of tim being a chaotic bisexual and actually i think i might have read everyhting you've written in ao3. also my eyes kinda hurt i really need to go to sleep :))
Sugar Daddy, Bring Me Home by thebodydies is my all-time fave example of sugar daddy/sugar baby Timkon, I would say, lol. Tim suffers through SEVERAL awakenings and Kon is incorrigible and they are both fucking idiots, and I just love it, hahaha. ❤ Also, there's very good porn involved.
The question at hand: why had Conner spent the last couple of months flirting with him by way of explicitly offering to perform sex acts? Most people would say there was only one possible answer to this question, but Tim was not most people. Other possibilities couldn’t be discounted out of hand, especially when the “only one possible answer” aligned perfectly with biased personal desires. This warranted evaluation. Conner had a big opinion of himself. An often deserved opinion, an often deceptively fragile opinion, but still: he loved to feed his ego. It was not outside the bounds of possibility that Conner, picking up on Tim’s attraction, would derive a lot of validation out of bringing it up. Did Tim actually think Conner would treat his feelings so callously? No. Under most circumstances, no. But when Conner was feeling insecure because his entire being had been erased from the universe and the universe had carried on without him? Maybe then. But Tim considered it a slim “maybe.” Part of detective work was not discarding a possibility before it was disproven, but at the same time not giving equal weight to every possibility. So while Tim could imagine a scenario where Conner regressed into poor behavior, he did not deem it likely. After months of making jokes about him giving Tim a blowjob… kiiinda seemed like he just wanted to give Tim a blowjob.

A Delayed New Years Kiss
“Kon? Jesus you almost gave me a heart attack!” Tim exclaimed in a harsh whisper.
“Sorry,” Kon shrugged, gently taking Tim’s bowstaff from his hands.
“It’s fine. Just, why are you here? Is something wrong? Did something happen?” Tim scaled his face, leaving his own filled with worry and confusion.
“No, no, god no. Everything and everyone is fine. I just, well I came here to say something,” the kryptonian chuckled awkwardly. He watched the panic drain from Tim’s face.
“Oh. Okay, what’s up?”
“Well. Uh. I uh, appreciate you as a leader?” Kon stumbled.
“You appreciate me as a leader..?” The robin raised his brow.
“Yeah..yeah! Yep that’s it’s,”
“That’s all?”
“Well. No, not exactly? It’s just, you’re so cool. you’re smooth. you take charge and you just know exactly what you do all the time. and you’re smart! so smart. i bet you could tell me right now exactly how far we are from the moon! actually, yeah go ahead. tell me.”
“Uh. what?”
“C’mon rob. how far?”
“Uhh. approximately 238,900,” Tim tilted his head, face flushed and hair roughed up. “so,” he shook his head. a smile formed. “You woke me up, at four in the morning, to ask me how far away we are from the moon?”

His Tiny Person
TimKon, Soulmates AU, Canon Divergence, Mini Soulmates, Humour, that “oh” moment, Realisation of feelings, Getting together.
Summary: "Kryptonian's have something called soulmates and every single Kryptonian has one. We know who our soulmates are because mini versions of them manifest to us. To begin with you won't recognise them, or even know their name, until you actually meet them in person. You will meet, you are destined to, but whether you get along or not is another story."
When Kon finds a tiny person hanging around him he's extremely confused but comes to adore him anyway. However its still a complete shock when Kon learns that he's known his soulmate for years and has just never realised it.
Also on AO3
Enjoy! :D
No matter what anyone says, Kon believes that the freak out he has is very much warranted.
After getting out of the shower, Kon wrapped a towel around his waist before entering his bedroom and without any conscious thought he goes through his routine of getting ready for the day. The last thing he had expected to see was a tiny person perched on a pillow on his bed.
In all of his glory Kon let out a yell and scrambled backwards in surprise, his back quickly hits a wall which stops him from going anywhere. The tiny person on his bed openly stares at Kon and it feels like he’s being studied or even judged by him.
Kon stares back completely bewildered at the sight. There’s a tiny person on his bed. How did he get there? Who was he? Where did he come from? Is this some kind of prank?
“Conner, is everything alright?” Ma Kent’s voice could be heard calling him from downstairs. “We heard a yell.”
Still staring at the tiny person Kon tries to get himself together. He shuffles to his bedroom door, never taking his eyes off the person, and opens it. Over his shoulder he calls down to her. “Sorry Ma, I saw a spider. It caught me off guard that’s all. It’s all sorted now.”
“Okay dear if you’re sure. Breakfast is ready when you are.”
“Will be down in a bit, thank you.”
Kon quickly closes the door and debates on what to do. He takes a moment to observe the tiny person. The tiny person is a boy, he has messy black hair, two blue eyes, thin lips, a small body lean body covered by a red t-shirt and black sweatpants.
Kon has no idea what this is, however, weirdly enough he’s feeling a pull towards this tiny person. He can’t describe what it is but Kon feels kind of protective over him, like he wants to just wrap this tiny person up and hide him away from everything. The feeling is completely irrational because Kon knows absolutely nothing about what this could be.
The tiny person stands up and makes his way across Kon’s bed until he’s standing near the edge of it. Kon couldn’t help but find him adorable, he’s so small! He’s not much bigger than his hand in size comparison.
Kon approaches the bed carefully and crouches down so he's almost eye level with him. When they make eye contact the tiny person smiles brightly and Kon feels another pull inside of him, this time its sharp and releases a sense of warmth through him. His heart melts even more for this little thing.
“Hi, do you have name? Where did you come from?” Kon asks softly. The tiny person shakes his head and Kon frowns. “Oh okay. Well I’m Kon or Conner, its nice to meet you.”
“Conner your breakfast is getting cold!” Ma Kent’s voice comes from downstairs again and Kon knows he really should get going.
He turns back to the tiny person. Should he tell Ma Kent about this or not? How would the Kent’s react to this? Kon is still rather new to the whole family thing, he’s only recently moved in with them and is in fact still adjusting to life in Smallville, would this freak them out? Maybe he should work out what this person is doing here first before telling them anything.
With that in mind Kon sends him a small smile. “I’ve got to go have breakfast now, but once I’m done I can work out what to do with you.” He stands up and heads for the door but is stopped short when he hears a small thump.
Kon looks over to find the bed now void of the tiny person, initial panic rises up inside of him though it’s quickly diminished when he feels a tugging sensation on his jeans. Snapping his gaze down Kon finds the tiny person insistently tugging on his jeans with a panicked look on his face.
For unknown reasons, Kon’s heart breaks at the look. “Hey, I’m not leaving. I won’t be long, I promise.” The person shakes his head and without warning starts climbing up Kon’s leg, grabbing fists full of fabric to help him on his journey and he doesn’t stop climbing until he gets to the pocket and climbs inside.
Kon’s not entirely sure on what to do with the tiny person that’s now curled up inside his jeans pocket. Obviously he hadn’t wanted Kon to go, or perhaps it was more of a separation thing and had panicked when he thought Kon was leaving?
Running a hand through his hair Kon opts to leave it for the time being, he’ll work it out later on. As he once again moves towards the door, he hopes that the tiny person is comfortable enough in his pocket until he returns to his bedroom.
----
Throughout the next couple of weeks Kon learns a lot about the tiny person.
He comes to notice that he has his own personality, he has his own quirks and things he likes and dislikes. While he doesn’t speak, the tiny person makes sure his opinion is heard. He likes to train and work out and he’s wickedly smart. He also loves to be held in Kon’s palm and to have his hair stroked.
Through some misunderstandings, Kon comes to realise he actually needs to feed this tiny person, he also needs to regularly clean him, exhaustion and not sleeping enough is certainly a thing, injuries too. The first time this tiny person hurt himself Kon almost had a heart attack in concern and panic.
It’s literally like he’s looking after another human being, only this human is super tiny and can easily fit into his pocket.
Despite all of this he still hasn’t worked out how this tiny person came to be. Anything he’s looked into has come to a dead end, he’s even explored scientific possibilities but it’s all come up empty handed. He’s still completely perplexed on this person’s existence.
When an unfortunate event occurred, Kon became aware that he can’t be too far away from this tiny person either, only because the distance causes them both physical pain. That alone makes Kon believe there’s more to this whole thing, he doesn’t know what it could be but there’s definitely something.
Other than that Kon really adores him. He’s gotten used to his presence now and how he happens to be there in Kon’s everyday life. It frightens him to no ends when a mission comes up or if Kon engages in a brutal battle because he could get hurt. Nonetheless the tiny person is always there for him, its like he’s got his own cheerleader.
A few weeks after the tiny person appears, Kon is meeting with Clark on the farm to catch up. Since the man had finally accepted him as a person and has even named him as part of the family, Clark’s been trying to put effort into getting to know him. Kon appreciates the effort and knows that their relationship is slowly healing.
When Clark arrives they settle onto one of the benches outside with some food Ma Kent had baked and were generally catching up. However Kon’s focus on the man’s words instantly die when movement in his peripheral catches his attention.
Kon glances down at the ground and freezes when he spots a small woman walking around within the grass looking completely at ease observing everything around her.
“Kon?”
Blinking Kon averts his attention away from the woman and back to Clark who is now frowning at him. How long had Kon not been listening for? Instead of saying anything Clark looks in the direction Kon had been and confusion crosses his face.
“What is it Kon?”
Kon waves a hand in the direction of the small woman. “Do you not see that? There’s a tiny person in the grass Clark!”
The man continues to stare at Kon like he's crazy. It makes Kon feel insecure. He wasn’t imaging this right? He’s got his own little dude hanging around him for weeks and now there’s a small woman too.
“Yeah… that’s Mini-Louis.” Clark says like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
“Mini-Louis? As in your wife Louis?” Kon asks sceptically.
Clark pulls a face, clearly not understanding his confusion. “Yes Kon. My wife. She is my soulmate, therefore I have a Mini-Louis around me.”
Kon has no idea on what to say to that because what?
Realisation crosses Clark’s expression. He pulls back a bit, seeming surprised. “You don’t know about it?”
“About what Clark? What the hell are you on about?” Kon snaps.
Clark takes a deep breath and leans forward on the table using his elbows to prop himself up. “I’m sorry it must have completely slipped my mind. We as Kryptonian's have something called soulmates. Every single Kryptonian has one. We know who our soulmates are because mini versions of them manifest to us and these mini versions are attached to our souls. Once we finally meet our soulmate in person the bond between us is solidified.”
Kon blinks trying to digest that information. Soulmates. Soulmates are an actual thing and they appear in the form of tiny versions of themselves. Kon’s tiny person is in fact his soulmate. But he doesn’t know who his soulmate is, he doesn’t recognise him!
“Has your soulmate manifested Kon?” Clark questions after a long drawn out silence.
Instead of answering Kon carefully reaches into his jacket’s pocket and scoops up his tiny person. He’s been sleeping this entire time and Kon feels bad for moving and waking him up but he gently does so and places him on the table in front of him.
His tiny person looks disorientated for a moment. He sits down on the table, yawns and rubs his eyes with his fists as he wakes up. Once he notices where he is he looks alerted and sends Kon a panicked look. Kon reaches out a strokes a finger down his face. “It’s okay buddy, you’re safe. No one is going to hurt you. I’m finally learning about you properly.”
Kon glances up to find Clark watching him with warm eyes and a soft smile. Kon raises an eyebrow. “What? If you say this is my soulmate it would certainly explain why I’m protective over him. But why didn’t you tell me sooner? I don’t recognise this person, doesn’t soulmates work after you meet the one or something?”
“With Kryptonian’s, your mini-soulmate manifests when the younger one of the pair comes of age. Your situation is slightly different, thinking about it I could guess that your soulmate appeared once you were named as you were already of age.”
Kon nods to the explanation. He’s slowly understanding it. He’s still feels conflicted about it, like he’s afraid of the idea of it but he's also open to it…
“The idea is that you don’t recognise them, or even know their name, until you actually meet them in person. You will meet, you are destined to, but whether you get along or not is another story. You’re soulmates, but that bond can be either platonic, romantic, or even in some rare cases it’s a hatred bond. By the looks of it, yours is either a platonic or a romantic bond.”
Kon sighs, he guesses that’s better than it being a hatred soulmate bond. He thinks he gets on rather well with his little dude.
“As frustrating as this will sound, the main thing I can say is that only time will tell. When you meet your soulmate you’ll recognise them and then how your relationship with him progresses will depend on the two of you.”
After that they change topic of conversation, leaning more into Kryptonian heritage and ways of life as well as different battle strategies Kon could be using with his team. Meanwhile as they talk, Kon’s mini-soulmate joins Mini-Louis in exploring the wildlife together.
-----
It turns out Kon has already met his soulmate. In fact it turns out he’s best friends with his soulmate. He’s known him for a couple years.
It turns out his soulmate is Robin and he’s only finding that out now.
Young Justice, or rather the newly formed Titans, are gathered together and spending the weekend at the Tower. They were about to start their movie night when Robin tells them he has an announcement to make.
In line with their new team development he wants to clear the air and start fresh, hoping they would all forgive him for certain things in the past. Robin takes his mask off and gives them his real name.
As Kon meets Robin’s – Tim’s – eyes his heart stops. Without the mask obstructing the top half of Robin’s face, Kon clearly sees the same face that his mini-soulmate has.
Robin is his soulmate. How has he never made that connection before? The resemblance is uncanny, he’s literally been carrying around a Mini-Robin for 6 months.
He’s been on a team with Robin for a couple of years now. When he first escaped Cadmus, him, Bart and Robin made a trio team and over time the others had joined them, therefore creating Young Justice. A couple years later here they are joining the Titans and Robin is finally sharing his identity with them.
To begin with he and Robin never got on, they were always at each other’s throats and never saw eye to eye but as time went on they both mellowed out and come to accept the others presence. Their friendship became stronger as they both matured over time. Kon had moved to Smallville and began to really learn what life is about, how there’s a life outside of superheroing, while Robin had moulded the legacy he carries into his own and has found the confidence to become his own person rather than trying to be someone else.
Either way, he immediately recognises Robin’s – or Tim’s – face and not because apparently he’s famous but actually because Tim’s face is the one his mini-soulmate wears. There’s no mistaking it.
His mini-soulmate is currently hidden from view inside his jacket pocket but Kon could easily feel the excitement rolling off the tiny person, he’s practically buzzing with energy. Knowing he’s going to have to try and restrain his mini from doing anything rash, Kon brushes his telekinesis over him in attempts to calm him down.
At Tim’s announcement there’s a loud explosion from the group which lasts for some time until everyone calms down enough to settle so they can watch the films they have lined up. No matter what they put on, Kon couldn’t focus on any of them. His mind is too occupied with the thoughts of Robin being his soulmate and what that could mean.
He begins questioning his entire friendship with the bat vigilante. Reflecting on everything from the moment they met to now.
What kind of feelings does he actually have for his friend? He cares for him, they trust one another (the whole ID thing was a different matter despite how many arguments there have been on that topic) and Kon can’t imagine his life without Tim in it. Even back when he loathed him Kon wouldn’t have imagine Robin not being there.
They balance one another out. Where Kon is reckless and is hot headed, Robin thinks things through and plans accordingly. Where Robin is uptight and too hard on himself, Kon is freewheeling and helps him to relax and unwind.
When he’s with Tim he wants his friend to be happy, he wants him to feel safe and protected. When things get too much Kon reminds Robin he’s there to talk to if he needs it. When Kon’s felt overwhelmed by his powers Tim is the one he turns to because he helps Kon to understand them without making it feel like he’s being judged. There’s been numerous of nights where they’ve sat together in silent company, both of them wanting to be alone but not at the same time.
Kon thinks about his smile and his laugh when he’s genuinely happy and not wearing that stupid asshole persona. He think about how when he gets invested in something he would passionately defend it. How there’s a shy and genuine guy behind that mask despite all the confidence Robin plasters on in front of them all. He recalls when Robin would walk into a room and how Kon’s mood would improve significantly for no reason.
Well shit… there’s a lot more feelings towards Robin than he ever realised. Is this still platonic though or is it the start of something romantic? Can Kon even imagine what it would be like to be romantically involved with Tim? To hold his hand, to cuddle, to kiss and then maybe more, to be seen in public with him, to lean on one another without fear…
Kon’s heart misses a beat when he realises that yes he can imagine all that. Now he knows Tim’s name and knows what he really looks like, Kon can see himself doing those things with Tim and even getting to know him better than what’s slipped through his persona over the years.
Tim is his soulmate, they’re bound to each other in some way. Why hadn’t he ever seen it before?
What is Tim’s opinion on all of this? Kon’s mind suddenly goes into overdrive when it clicks that since Tim is his soulmate, he has a Mini-Tim with him at all times, then that means Tim would have a mini-him.
“on? Conner! Kon!”
A sharp stinging sensation gets his attention and Kon blinks, his thoughts finally residing for now. Kon looks around to find everyone in the room staring at him with concern and how Robin is standing in front of him with worry etched all over his face.
“Are you okay? You completely spaced out on us.”
Kon swallows thickly and sends Tim, and everyone else, a tight smile. “Yeah, yeah. Sorry just got lost in my thoughts.”
Tim doesn’t look convinced and now that his mask is no longer on Kon could clearly see his expressions. Despite only seeing Tim’s face for the first time moments ago, Kon can already read his facial expressions because they happen to be the exact same ones Mini-Tim wears.
Kon reaches out and pushes Tim away from him to create room so he can stand up. “Seriously I’m fine. It’s just been a long week that’s all. I’m actually going to head to bed, I’ll see you all in the morning.”
Without looking at anyone Kon flees the room, trying to get out of there as fast as possible. He doesn’t stop moving until he gets to his assigned room where he promptly barges in and slams the door shut behind him. Unable to stand still Kon begins pacing the length of the room, his mind back to working on overdrive.
Its only when something starts moving against him that he breaks out of the cycle. Kon stops in the middle of his room and gently scoops out his mini-soulmate. From the centre of his palm, Mini-Robin looks up at him and scowls. Kon winces in both guilt and embarrassment.
He places his min-soulmate onto his dresser and instantly Mini-Tim turns his back on Kon and crosses his arms over his chest. Kon frowns feeling terrible, he didn’t mean to make him upset or angry. He can’t help that he's a little incompetent when it comes to these sort of things.
Kon goes back to his pacing, now talking to his mini as he does so. “I’m sorry okay. I didn’t realise, all of this time and you’ve actually been in front of me. How many missions have we been on, how many rooms have we been in together, how many hours have we spent in close proximity of one another? After all of that its only now I’m figuring it out!”
He glances over to find that Mini-Tim is still ignoring him. Kon huffs. “Well it’s not like it’s entirely my fault! Robin is as much as to blame as I am. At least I have an excuse, I didn’t know it was him because he had half of his face covered all the time. What about him? He’s probably had a mini-me this whole time and has never approached me about the topic, it’s not like I’ve gone incognito.”
When he stops talking the silence in the room stretches out. Even though its only Kon and his mini-soulmate Kon could easily feel the tension between them. He doesn’t like feeling like this, especially with his little counterpart.
Sighing heavily, Kon shuffles over to the dresser where Mini-Tim is still standing and leans in closely. “Please don’t be annoyed. It’s a shitty situation and my emotions are everywhere. The last thing I need is for you to be annoyed at me too…”
When Mini-Tim continues to ignore him Kon frowns and carefully reaches out to him with his TTK. He gently prods his mini-soulmate, trying to encourage him to loosen up and even look at him again.
Eventually his insistence must work because Mini-Tim turns around and stares up at him with wide-eyes and a pout on his face. Kon pulls back his power and reaches out to brush a finger along his tiny cheek.
“I’m sorry,” Kon whispers softly, “I’ll sort things out, I promise but it may take some time.” The wide-eyes and pout soon turns into a glare without heat and a pointed look. Kon understands his message though. “I will talk to him, soon okay. Just not yet, I need to get my thoughts in order first.”
A knock on his bedroom door breaks his attention away from his mini-soulmate. Kon sighs and is reluctant to open the door, fearing what’s on the other side of it. When a second knock happens, Kon forces himself to walk over to the door and pull it open.
As feared, Tim stands there in the corridor looking worried and lost in thought. He notices that Kon has opened the door and snaps back to attention. “Uh hey.”
“Hey.”
“Can we talk?” Tim asks sounding unsure.
Kon sends him a tight smile. “Yeah.”
Tim enters his bedroom and Kon closes the door behind him. There's a pause between them before Tim turns around to face him wearing contemplative expression. “Your behaviour isn’t about my name and face is it?”
It sounds like he already knows the answer to that but Kon humours him by answering anyway. “No. No it isn’t, well, not the main part of it at least.” He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. How was he supposed to talk to Robin that he's his soulmate? How was he going to explain that for the last 6 months he’s been carrying around a tiny version of him but didn’t know because he never made the connection until today?
In the end he shakes his head, he’s probably way over thinking this too much. Maybe he shouldn’t use words, perhaps using actions is the way to go?
Kon moves around the room and goes back over to the dresser, when he leans in close he finds Mini-Tim hiding away behind a deodorant spray. He lifts his hand with his palm facing upwards and waits to see if his mini takes the invitation. Mini-Tim stares at him suspiciously for a moment before coming out of his hiding spot and climbing onto his hand.
Kon carefully turns around and shows Tim his mini for the first time. Surprisingly yet unsurprisingly, Tim doesn’t look shocked. His eyes widen but that’s the only reaction Kon gets. Tim wordlessly reaches down into his jacket pocket and brings something out of it, Kon could only gasp when he sees a mini version of himself on Tim’s palm.
Before he or Tim could react their mini-soulmates both make an excited sound. Mini-Kon jumps up from Tim’s palm and flies straight for Mini-Tim. In return Mini-Tim jumps up with his hands stretched out and grasps onto Mini-Kon when they collide together. Mini-Kon carries them around for a moment before they land on the bed and separate. They use their little arms and legs to wildly gesture to one another about something lost to both Kon and Tim. It’s rather adorable to watch.
“I think that answers a few questions does it not?” Tim says amusedly watching the minis with a smile.
Kon huffs. “Some of them yeah. Look dude there’s a lot to explain about this, I get you must be super confused about how a tiny version of myself just suddenly appeared one day and I understand that -”
“I’m going to stop you there Kon.” Tim says firmly raising a hand up in a stopping motion, he’s now looking at him. “I know a lot more than what you think I do. I know what this is and what it could mean. If anything I’m the one that should explain some things to you, like why didn’t I tell you sooner for example.”
Feeling rather overwhelmed Kon shakes his head and moves to sit down in his desk chair.
Tim takes it as an opportunity to keep talking. “We’ve always had a strange relationship Kon. From the moment we met until now it’s been odd, but quite frankly there’s not a thing I would change. I know those minis represent that we’re soulmates. I have to admit I was rather confused when you appeared tiny in my bathroom 6 months ago, to begin with I thought you had shrunk or something but there was something telling me there was more to it than that.
I got my answer about a month later when I ran into Louis, she had been at the Manor talking to Bruce when I saw she had a tiny Clark riding on her shoulder. After a conversation she explained that her and Clark were soulmates, it’s all to do with because he’s a Kryptonian. Of course then it made more sense.
The reason why I never approached you about it is because I didn’t know what to do. I knew it was you, it’s kind of hard not to tell y’know,” Tim sends him a knowing smirk at that comment, “but since you never said anything about it I figured you didn’t know it was me. It’s only then that it clicked that I still hadn’t revealed my face or even shared my name with you.
It wasn’t my choice not to tell you, you know that, it had been Batman’s orders. For months I debated on what to do, even going as far as arguing with Batman to share my ID at least with you. In the end Batman gave in but only after I explained why I was so insistent about it. And well, here we are.”
Tim trails off into silence and he’s looking expectantly at Kon, waiting for him to respond to his side of the story. Kon could only blink at him and repeat his story in his mind. The minis are currently sat together side by side on the edge of the bed’s footboard, they were holding hands and swinging their legs together as they share a smile.
As much as Kon would like to be frustrated at Tim for what he did, he knows he really couldn’t be. Its not his fault that Batman put him in an awkward position. Kon rationalises in his mind that’s its all done and over with now, he can’t change it but from here they can at least go forward.
He glances up at Tim. “So what do we do from here? How would you like to go forward? Also I’m sorry that I put you in this position. It was as much as a shock to me as it probably was to you.”
Tim glares at him. “Don’t apologise Kon. It’s not like you had a choice in the matter and you know what, I’m glad its you.”
That gets Kon’s attention. He stares at his best friend wondering if he heard right. “What?”
The sigh Tim lets out sounds almost resigned. “Why would I be bothered by it? You’re my best friend Kon, of course I don’t mind being soulmates with you. I know we’ve had one heck of a bumpy road in the past but we’re here now aren’t we.”
Kon grins, unable to deny what Tim had just said. He looks back up, taking in how Tim’s eyes are focused on him, how they seem to shine when the light hits them, he takes in Tim’s relaxed posture and how at ease he appears to be.
A sudden urge washes over Kon and all he wants to do is crush Tim in a hug and kiss him. He has no idea when he started thinking about Tim in that way but he finds that he doesn’t actually mind. It’s just the case of whether Tim returns them or not.
Kon stands up and steps towards Tim, standing so close to him that he could feel the others heat. “So how do you want to go forward with this? When Clark told me about soulmates, he said there are platonic, romantic and hating bonds. Is there a certain type you want to be?”
Kon wants to smack himself in the face for how bad that sounds. What the fuck is he on about. Thankfully Tim seems more amused than anything else. A glance to the side shows both minis exaggerating an eye roll each, Kon opts to ignore them.
Tim steps closer, finally pushing their chests together, he has to tilt his head up while Kon looks down to make eye contact with one another. “I don’t know… I mean to be honest if I had to say one surely it would be the hatred bond? I can’t stand you, you know? You get on my nerves too much.”
Kon snorts and shakes his head. “Maybe once upon a time. Anyway you’re just as bad, you and that neurotic brain of yours.”
They both grin at that, shaking their heads at the ridiculous turn in the conversation. Opposite him Tim opens his mouth again but this time Kon decides to cut to the chase. He ducks his head and presses his lips against Tim’s. There’s a pause on Tim’s side but after a second he’s responding to Kon and pushing back against his lips.
Some sort of spark passes between them and suddenly it’s like something inside of him has clicked into place and now he feels complete.
He presses against Tim even more and wraps his arms around him, keeping them pressed closely together. Tim goes with the movement, reaching up to wrap his arms around Kon’s neck and even buries a hand in his hair.
When they part the two of them are sharing wide smiles. Kon huffs out a laugh and rests his forehead against Tim’s.
The only thing that pulls Kon away from Tim is a light slapping against his neck. He pulls back and looks to the side to find Mini-Tim now standing on his shoulder trying to get his attention. Opposite him, Mini-Kon is floating next to Tim’s cheek also getting his attention.
Tim and Kon take a step away from each other to look at their minis. Mini-Tim is grinning wildly and Kon could just feel the excitement and warmth radiating off from him. Kon smiles back softly and reaches up to stroke a finger along Mini-Tim’s cheek, even poking his stomach for fun. It’s a pleasant contrast compared to what he was like a little while ago.
Kon turns back to Tim. “So, um, now that a few things are out the way, can I ask you out on a date? Lets give this a try?”
Tim gently nudges Mini-Kon away to stop him from prodding his cheek, he looks at Kon and nods. “Just text me the time and place and we’ll be there.”
It takes a moment but Kon quickly catches on that he means him and Mini-Kon. Of course, duh, if they’re going to be dating then by extension so are the mini versions of themselves. It probably should be weird but Kon finds that he doesn’t mind, in fact its cute and the fact that Tim doesn’t seem to mind either makes it better. He’s looking forward to the near future and what it could bring for him and Tim and their mini-soulmates.

TimKon week Day 7 – First Kiss
Well first public kiss
I felt like I was being too mean to Damian in this so I added an extra bit to be slightly nicer. He’s still a melodramatic shit though.
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/20024389/chapters/47629645
Having the blanket of Jon’s bed covering them both makes it a bit stuffy but Jon doesn’t mind. It also muffles the volume of his phone from the outside world and makes the faint glow of it almost cinematic.
“I don’t understand your need to watch the news reports about them,” Damian says after Jon had turned on the news feed covering the latest breaking news about the Titans fighting some new supervillain.
“It’s exciting – plus that’s going to be us in a few years,” Jon says. At least he hopes it is a few years – he loves being a hero but the Titans involve a level of public attention and scrutiny he doesn’t think he’s ready for just yet.
“It should be us now,” Damian says. “We would have done it in half the time. Neither Drake nor the Clone utilise their skills as well as they could.”
“I think they’re a good team.” Sometimes Jon wishes he and Damian could work as fluidly as Tim and Kon did together. Both dad and Kon said with time they would so Jon guessed it was just a matter of patience.
“Tt, they could be better,” Damian says and rolls his eyes as a particularly brave reporter dares to get close to the scene of the fight to talk to Superboy and Red Robin. Honestly Jon is just reminded of his mum.
“She’s going to get killed when it turns out they didn’t actually take down the supervillain.” Damian grumbles as the reporter asks the two heroes about whether or not this attack is connected to the one the other Superboy and Robin took out last week.
“Of course not!” Damian basically yells at the screen just as Red Robin says that they would be looking into the possibility of it. And Jon kind of wishes that was the only aggravator the interview brought Damian.
Because it isn’t.
Because another bystander braves getting close enough to yell out a question of their own to the two heroes – whether the rumours of them dating were true. And it could have been nothing but there’s a sly smile that forms on the two heroes faces before Kon grabs Tim to dip him down and kiss him and next to Jon Damian screams.
The quilt covering them both is thrown off as Damian gets to his feet and storms over to his shoes.
“I can’t believe they would do that!” Damian rants as he aggressively starts shoving his shoes on. On Jon’s phone the live-report is still going and Kon is asking if anyone has anymore questions about their relationship.
“The foolishness! The disrespect!” Damian continues.
“I don’t think it’s that bad,” Jon says because it’s nice to think that at least his brother gets to have his relationship known both as Conner Kent and Superboy. Especially seeing how Superman is still ‘single’ despite the ‘newer Superboy’ being his son to keep their secret identities safe.
“It is! The entire world knows that they are both not completely dedicated to their cause. That they are so unprofessional that they are dating on the job.”
Jon still doesn’t get what the big deal is because as far as he was aware it wasn’t uncommon for Titans to date each other. Like, really not uncommon. Nor was it that uncommon for the public to be aware of it.
“Where are you going?” Jon asks as Damian goes to climb out the window.
“Home. I must help father to negotiate the effects of their foolish decision.”
“Can’t it wait?” They were supposed to just hang out tonight.
“Absolutely not. Who knows what other damage might be done in the meantime if we do.”
“Okay then I’m coming with you.”
“That won’t be necessary.”
“This effects both of us doesn’t it? We’re both the next Superboy and Robin,” Jon argues.
“Fine,” Damian says after a long moment’s consideration.
The trip to Gotham is quiet – although Jon can tell Damian is clearly still seething.
The second they reach Wayne Manor Damian is racing down to the Batcave leaving Jon to trail behind him.
“Father did you see the news report?” Damian yells, coming to a stop in front of Bruce at the Batcomputer.
“I did,” Bruce says, barely pausing his work. “Hello Jon.”
“Hello Mr Wayne,” Jon responds politely.
“What are we going to do about it?” Damian butts in to demand.
“Nothing. It is being received exactly how we wanted it to be,” Bruce says pressing a button to fill the screen with so many different reports and social media feeds about it.
“What?” Damian asks.
“We needed something to keep the media in a frenzy that we could control,” Tim explains as he walks out from the showers having apparently been listening to the conversation. “So I offered. Hi Jon.”
“Hi Tim.”
“Why?” Damian demands. “What could be so worth having everyone know Red Robin is fraternizing with the clone?”
“I’ll show you the case file once you calm down,” Bruce says as Jon catches Tim mumble about how he was happy it was still the Clone-thing.
“Is Kon still here?” Jon asks Tim as Damian and Bruce talk about whatever the case is. Doesn’t know if he will be eventually dragged into it by Damian, but for now better leave it to just Batman and Robin in case.
“Yeah he’s upstairs,” Tim says. “Come on.”
They find Kon in the kitchen snacking on some cookies Alfred apparently made that day.
“What are you doing here Jon?” Kon asks but still offers him one of the cookies that Jon refuses because he’s already brushed his teeth.
“Damian saw the news report and decided to raise hell,” Tim explains before Jon gets a chance.
“And you got dragged into it?” Kon asks, gesturing with the cookie Jon had just refused.
“Yeah. That doesn’t matter though. How does it feel – to have it actually known to the public as Superboy and Red Robin?”
“Pretty good,” Kon says.
“I don’t think it’s hit yet,” Tim says at the same time. “At least we don’t have to worry about having to hold back because of it being a secret.”
“That’s good,” Jon says.
“It is,” Tim says. “Just have to actually solve the case now.”
“If you need help-“ Kon starts.
“I know,” Tim says. “For now though we have it covered.”
“Sure,” Kon says, “come on Jon, I’ll take you home until they realise they’re going to need real muscle to sort this mess out.”
Tim rolls his eyes but doesn’t say anything in protest. “See you Jon – apologise to your parents about ruining any focus on their stories for the next week for me yeah?”
“Uh, sure.”
 --------
“Hey Damian,” Jon asks, once the two of them had managed to escape their Titan chaperones to hide in the secret room Damian built while he was temporarily on the team. “You’re not actually mad that Tim and Kon kissed on TV are you?”
“It did an adequate job of keeping the public sufficiently distracted,” Damian says. His back straight while typing away on his computer. Probably to try and find them a case to work on while they’re at Titans Tower that isn’t known to the actual team. “And the two do seem happier for it. I just dislike public displays of affection, and the public gossiping about us like we’re common celebrities.”
“Dad says it’s just because they want to see us as human as well,” Jon says.
Damian clicks his tongue but doesn’t say anything.
“You know, if they get married we’ll be brothers-“
Jon jumps at the sound of the laptop being slammed shut and turns to see Damian’s clearly unhappy expression.
“We won’t ever be brothers,” Damian sneers.
“Don’t you want to be related to me?” Jon thought they were close. He thought Damian liked him.
“No, I-,” Damian sputters, his face pink and Jon can hear his heart-rate picking up. “I do not dislike Drake and the Clone getting together. Nor it being public. It is fine. But we are not… brothers. That does not mean I do not like you, just I do not like you like that. And anyway, I have enough brothers as it is.”
“Okay,” Jon says. Mostly enjoying the fact that Damian admitted he liked him.
“Good,” Damian says, opening the laptop again. “Now I think I’ve found a case for us to solve while we’re stuck here. We just have to figure out how to get out of the Tower without alerting our apparent babysitters of where we are going.”
“Maybe we could ask them for help?” If anyone was going to understand being young heroes it would be the Teen Titans.
Damian gives a look, not that Jon really expected him to be up for it.
Which, okay, now they needed a plan about how to sneak out without the fact being noticed. It was hard enough sneaking away to a room within the Tower and Jon still isn’t convinced at least Red Robin doesn’t know exactly where they are. He doesn’t know how they’re going to get out.
He’s sure Damian’s going to have a plan for it soon enough though.

Kon has always been the mom
Category : Gen
Genre : Angst/Fluff
Fandoms : DC Comics, Teen Titans v3 (2003)
Prompt : Tim and Kon acting as Bart’s parents
Summary : Tim seems really down, Bart wants to cheer him up but it doesn't go as planned. As always, Kon is very perceptive and has actually started to mature enough to somewhat understand what's going on, kind of.
Author’s notes : I tag this as TimKon but you’ll only find it if you squint very hard. It’s more like pre-slash I guess. This happens right avec Stephanie Brown and Jack Drake’s deaths
Word Count : 1941
You can find it on AO3
_______________________________________________________________
Bart was bored. Like really, really bored.
He had finished both his and Superboy's homework and Conner hadn't even deigned do anything than stare at Cassie's....pretty eyes (yeah right, like Bart would believe that).   He had read a lot in the past couple of hours (which actually seemed like days to him, but hey, a speedster has to adapt his internal clock to the outside world) but he needed a change of pace....and human interactions. Sadly, because of the mission they had finished earlier, almost everyone had fallen asleep while he was busy reading a strangely interesting collection of Art History books (more specifically, animal deities and humans represented as animals (deities) between ~ 4000 BC and ~600 AD... There was some really weird stuff in there and there was an actual Scorpion King even if the Return of the Mummy didn't get anything other than the name right, on that note the anime watcher in him laughed endlessly -well for him- at the fact that Egypt also had had an actual Prince Baka).
So there was nothing to do besides, maybe, bothering Tim…Who might actually need it. The other/new/girl (?) Robin had disappeared during the week and he's not an idiot (he also knows how Tim became Robin in the first place even if not in details), since Spoiler/Girl!Robin hasn't reappeared (he actually checked, he has spent a lot of time with Tim after all) and there's no new vigilante in Gotham so chances are she's either hurt or undercover somewhere (or dead but he'd rather not think about that)? In any case, Tim probably needs some cheering up (though if he's honest with himself, they all do. Tim's just a bigger case to work on).
But what to do? The last time he tried to cheer up one of his teammates had been when Kon had lost his powers back in their Young Justice days. He couldn't do it yet these days had been a lot more happy (though when he thought about it back then Kon hadn't just lost his powers but also Tana and while thinking about how a newborn/16 years old Kon was in a relationship with a clearly adult woman now felt slightly creepy, there was no denying that she had been really important to him, just like Rob might have to deal with something having happened to his (ex?) girlfriend)...Ah…Considering how his cheering Kon up had turned out he was probably not gonna be able to get Tim's head out of his ass (also he might get killed). After all it had ended up pretty badly.
Then again if there's someone who can cheer Tim up it's Bart! (Well, actually, it might be Conner but while he probably noticed Tim wasn't at his best, he's been trying to give Tim some space and not force him to talk too much. Bart knows because Conner had asked him to help in distracting him from confronting Rob…And Conner had little patience and there was Cassie and…Huh…now that he thinks about it maybe there's a link there…Anyway Conner may not be as intelligent as Tim or himself (well he kinda is…just…in a very different way) but that's because he's more of an intuition kind of person. But while he's getting better at using it efficiently, while he realizes something is wrong he doesn't always know what is.
So…What to do? What to do? Get Tim mad at him? Probably not a good idea (even if there's like a 90% chance that's how it'll end upThat and a lecture…After all Conner has been a master at annoying Tim since their first meeting and he taught Bart well).
Maybe ask him to work on something together?  But what ? After All, while Tim's widely more intelligent than he is, Bart 's still sufficiently intelligent (more than that to be honest) to not need help (or to have already asked if he did)…Plus while Tim might have understood his explanation building stuff's not really his thing (though he could have proposed ideas to make it better…maybe) so it probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
  So yeah…he's kinda stumped.
Or maybe if he's …? Yep quick check and Conner's still ogling Cassie (Bart still thinks it's a little weird that, like, half of the time Conner gives his attention to Cassie it's (in)directly related to Tim but this thought has little chances of being well receive….by anyone so, like most of his thoughts on the matter of his friends' (sorta) relationships, he's gonna try to forget about it). So yeah, Conner's not gonna be of any help.
Tim was starting to get a headache, a Bache, a Bart-Induced headache. They were a special kind that had developed after months of hanging out with Bart on a regular basis. And for the past five minutes Bart has been passing through the room while stopping behind the armchair Tim is slumped in for a second and then disappearing, only to come back every few second and doing the same again and again and again.
And Tim, well, he can't say he was actually working on his laptop unless you count staring at it blankly working. Steph was dead and so was his dad.  He hadn't been able to help them, much less save them. Hell in his father's case he had been at least partially responsible. They were…. And Dana was…she was…not well and she hadn't adopted him anyway so it's not like he could have gone with her even if she hadn't…And he had until the end of the week-end to find a solution to his situation.  And why oh why does Bart keep on doing that? It's distracting and Tim doesn't have the time to deal with it! So if he wants Tim to know about something that badly he should just come out and say it :
"OH MY GOD BART! Just stay still and tell me why you're bothering me!" he said, raising his voice in annoyance.
At which point he looked up, at Bart's face. Bart who was trying and failing to hide his crushed face (because while he had gotten better at hiding his emotions, he was still Bart and face it, anyone who had known Impulse!Bart couldn't be fooled by his newly acquired -and far from mastered- skills). And okay, maybe Bart had been right not to engage him.  Also Bart was gone now and if he tried to look for him on the feed from his laptop…and found him, intercepted by Conner, who's hugging him…and looks mad…Yeah he probably deserves what's coming.
"TIM!"
Yep, there stands Superboy, in all his (furious) glory, hands on the hips. Shoulders bending his upper body slightly toward Tim, towering over him, his frowny face promising a big lecture. Kon really was the mom, he hadn't been joking when he had first said that…Well okay he kind of was joking but he was also partly serious.  It wasn't often that Conner had the moral high ground over him. It used to be because of his immaturity but since the last Bedlam debacle (and that awful war) -when Steph had been Robin and Harm hadn't killed Greta and Kon was an adorably puny nerd and Steph *was Robin* (to be fair he had also been puny but a lot less than Kon- it had been because they were on a more equal standing and actually communicated so there wasn't any high ground to have.   But Tim had obviously upset Bart and he should know better because if the roles had been reversed he'd be planning Conner's destruction (OK, maybe not, but he'd plan a very humiliating revenge plot…Maybe).
"Look. I don't know what's going on but it doesn't give you the right to treat others" Bart "Like they're nothing!" Kon yells.  Direct as always, he's actually going easy on Tim. Probably because they both know Conner has just kickstarted Tim's internal lecture system.
"Tim…" he started again, more gently this time, only to be interrupted:
"I know. I realized as soon as I said it, ok. I wanted to apologize immediately but between Bart's speed and yours I didn't have the time."
Now he just needed to find Bart…and get out of the protective arms of the corner he had chosen to make his nest at.  He could feel Conner looking at him, frown still in place but anger replaced with worry. And damn he didn't want that. Conner was his best friend but he didn't want to burden him just because he had trouble dealing with death. He also couldn't hurt Bart because of it.   So he ignored Conner the best he could while trying to look for Bart (again) on the feed of his computer. Conner just sighed and went to find Bart who had luckily just come back from a run (where? Somewhere Max Mercury related probably and wasn't that a whole can of worms in itself?) and looked calmer, if still wary, when Conner escorted him protectively to the living room where Tim was still hiding.  He quickly got up and ran to Bart, stopping a few centimeters from him, hands hesitating before falling solidly on the younger boy's shoulders.
"I'm so sorry Bart, I just. I'm not…Some things happened and, well I took it on you and I shouldn't have. I'm really sorry."  This was the most heartfelt Tim had been in a while and he was almost proud of it.
Whether Bart had decided to forgive him before his apology or his speedster brain weighed the pros and cons of accepting his apology right after (or Bart decided to forgive him on the spur of the moment), he ended up jumping into Tim's arms for less than a second (Tim barely felt the hug but he wanted more of it) and gave Tim a small smile. All was forgiven and they started moving toward the couch. Conner was still frowning slightly but he smiled back at them only a few moments later (as if to make sure there was no issue left between them) before joining them on the couch, on Bart.
"You are so the mom".
Oops. Tim had apparently slipped up. Bart looked surprised and speechless (they had the "argument" because Bart had just sped off after all), but then a sly smile made its appearance on his face.
"Hey you're right! Conner's totally the mom!". He shouted excitedly.
Conner, whose cheeks had started to redden and was glaring dagger at Tim, became redder and started glaring at Bart too so that Bart felt the need to defend himself:
"C'mon Conner you're like the nurturer and protector! That's totally what moms are!"
Tim smiled slightly as he started to list the "nurturing" types of behaviors Conner had shown to corroborate Bart's statement while Bart looked at them, happy to have distracter Tim (even slightly) and he started falling asleep, listening to his best friends' bickering, smiling slightly more when he felt Conner lifting him up (with his famous TTK, luckily Tim must have glared at him because Conner stopped before he even began talking about it) and to his room where he deposited him on his bed, took off his boots and pulled the covers over his body while Tim joined them and they both messed with Bart's hair, patted him on the head and temples before turning his light off and closing the door, leaving him to a few hours of blissful sleep.
_______________________________________________________________
Author’s note part 2 : I hope I did Bart justice. Because of his Speed and unique growth he acts more like an hyperactive child than any other speedster has, but at the same time he has started gaining on maturity by that point in time (also I'm mad that they made him go darker instead of trying to simply keep on making him mature bit by bit), plus Bart is one of the most intelligent characters of this generation so I wanted to be able to show both. That's why I tried to write him in a way that shows a speed of thoughts where it can seem kinda jumbled because he makes a lot of connections. As for Tim, he's a special blender of PTSD and Depression (canonically), and most likely Anxiety, Boarding School Syndrom and, as of his father's death, survivor's guilt (granted it was viable until Kon's death) and all other secondary effect of having your parents leave you for unknown periods of times like lack of empathy and 0 Self-Esteem. (and probably Borderline Personality Disorder, but I'm not completely sure about that one...It'd fit though). So with this plus his recent grief and Tim usually being fairly prone to irritation and anger, I tried to make it realistic without being too aggressive. Finally Kon is a very nurturing person if an arrogant one *cough*over compensation because few people wanted him and those who did left/died*cough*. Kon is a very perceptive character but due to his relative youth he doesn't know how to interpret his perceptions, it's something I wish had been explored more, but anyway. Kon is a very loving and nurturing person and by the beginning of Teen Titans he had started really assuming this role especially toward Tim and Bart. And here he's worried about Bart of course, but he also knows how repressed Tim is and if he lashed out, especially at Bart then it means something's wrong (but he's willing to give Tim a bit of space for Tim to talk to him on his own...he doesn't have that big of a patience and Tim can be very stubborn though so he might want to ask him later ? But then canon catches up to them and Tim's forced to talk about his father (and not Steph because ? ).
Also the stuff on Egypt 100% true. There was an actual Prince Baka (that’s how I learned at least half of the Ancient Egypt Speciality of the Ecole du Louvre of the 2011-2012 years was made of weeaboos)

'Orientation' by smilebackwards
Author: @smilebackwards
“You okay?” Superboy asks.
“Yeah. Thanks,” Tim says. His teeth are chattering but he doesn’t feel cold.
Superboy frowns. Tim can feel his arms shift like he’s testing Tim’s weight. “You’re not Robin.”
“No,” Tim says. “I was just borrowing his uniform. I don’t have my own yet. I’m Oracle.”
“Oriole?” Superboy asks.
“Oracle,” Tim corrects. “I’m not following the bird motif.”

'A Strange Family' by TheWitchBoy
“And,” Bruce shook his head, “Cullen and Tim are close. They have similar interests and spend time together. All that jazz,” he winced as the dated term escaped his mouth, but carried on. “They actually talk. So, even then, Cullen knew that Tim was carrying a torch for Conner.”
There. Right there.
Clark’s breath stuttered and his eyes widened as the “Conner” helped him put all those Tim-shaped pieces together.
Bruce steadfastedly pretended he didn’t see it, though. “So the gossip rags all print, the same day, about Tim’s homophobic past. Tim is at a business lunch when his phone alerts him about the articles. I hear he stood up so fast that he knocked the drinks right off the table.”
There was also a lot of shouting, particularly when Tim locked eyes with a recognizable redhead who was constantly causing him problems. Vicki hadn’t actually been the byline for any of the homophobe stories, but she probably deserved it, anyway.
Clark barked a startled laugh. “Oh my god.”

'time flies' by Laroyena

“Barry,” Tim wandered into Central City one day under the pretext of checking up on Wayne Enterprise’s holdings. Barry, gracious man he was, agreed to coffee at Jitters without much of a fight. “Can you… tell me what I was like in the previous timeline?”
Barry flipped the folder closed and furrowed his brow. “Tim, you know I can’t.”
“Because we can't disrupt the timestream,” Tim said. He’d done his research. “But I need to know. I…” he looked the Flash in the eye. “I’m missing something. Someone. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t over thinking things.”
Barry’s gaze softened. He ran a hand through his blond hair with a sigh. “No, you’re not over thinking it.” He finished the rest of his coffee and stood up. “Most people don’t retain anything from the previous timeline, but there are a few that do. They’re missing people or things from the old timeline, and either they find who they’re looking for… or they don’t.”
Tim didn’t blink. “And me?”
“I’m so sorry, Tim,” Barry said gently.

“I don’t believe any version of me would wear a monkey suit.” Kon’s other self said blandly.
Kon gasped in mock outrage and slid his hand down his side. “Why wouldn’t I wear this, I look hot.”
“Wow.” Impulse giggled. “You’re way different from Superboy.”
“You know it, Imp.” Kon winked. “I’ve had a few years to stew out of my angst phase. Rob loves to tease me about it.”

'Tim Drake and his otherworldly ability to attract trouble' by vamplamp
Author: @thelampofthemoment
Before Tim could head out the apartment’s door, he was planning to take the back exit in case anybody was watching the building, Jason grabbed his wrist, “you know Superboy on your Earth?”
Jason had told him the basics of Superman’s Regime and the reminder of what this Earth’s Kon-El had become made Tim’s skin start to crawl all over again, “yeah, we’re, it’s complicated.”
“Remember that the one here, he’s not the boy you know. He’s unhinged, he lost his Tim and I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts seeing you as some kind of replacement,” Jason smirked a little, his eyes sparkling with a familiar mirth, “Replacement.”
Tim pulled his hand back and grinned with a confidence he didn’t feel, “try not to sympathise with the evil dictator’s son, got it.”

its just a feeling of nothingness (or maybe its whole)
“I’m tired, Kon.”
They were staring up at the stars. Up at the warm air, their backs to the cold bed the Kent’s truck. God knows what they were doing up, or even which one of them had the grand idea to climb out the window and take the truck at such an ungodly hour, but somehow it felt magical. The only problem was, it seemed to be more of a sad kind of magic, the kind that grabbed you by the shoulders and rang your neck into the clouded heavens above. Sweet, yet depressing. Savory, yet deluding.
“Well ain’t that a first?” Chuckled the kryptonian. He’d been back a year, a year and still things never returned to being the same. For one, the Tim he knew now was in no way the same Tim he knew from before. He knew it’d take a while, picking up all the pieces—after all, how easy can one recover after such an intense period of mourning?—but no one called it taking this long. At this point, though, maybe it was safer to assume this would just be the way it was from now on.
Simply,
Off.
                           read the rest on ao3
“No, not like that,” Tim shook his head. He sat up, looking down at Kon—in quite an odd way too, almost in the sense that he was suggesting something. Kon could have sworn he caught him staring at his lips.
“Then?”
“Then…” he hadn’t thought that far, after all it had only been the root of a strange feeling in his stomach.
Kon smiled. He watched the robin look down at his palms. He wondered what went through his brain, maybe small racing thoughts or long, extensive calculations. He’d like to live in Tim’s mind in all honestly, maybe just to catch a glimpse of what exactly he had going on. If he did, he thought about all the ways he might just bring him a bit of comfort.
The only problem would have to be the fact that it would nowhere be near peaceful.
He expected monsters,
Horrors,
Yelling,
Screaming,
Abuse,
And then some death.
And death,
And death,
And some more death.
Only then you’d hit any sense of love, with little to no room for anything else such as self-sympathy or an embrace.
So why did he want to live there?
To fix, of course.
To kiss and love away all the senseless pain,
Pain that there was still so much beauty and integrity in.
“Think of anything yet, Wonder Boy?” Kon asked quietly, his voice a mere hum. He wasn’t sure to be happy or sad in his presence anymore. Though, it didn’t feel quite bland either.
Tim looked at him, almost in the sense that he was contemplating. “Yeah, actually,” he stood up, grabbing hold of Kon’s hand as he did.
His friend lifted an eyebrow, “where’re we going?” He didn’t know his way around Smallville the way Kon did, essentially as they sat on the dirt road near the outskirts.
“Don’t you trust me?” Challenged the detective. His face held the most playful and pretentious grin.
Kon thought a second. He could see the wonder in his eyes. It raged fires of the unknown. Always a mysterious bat.
For that, he allowed him to lead him up and off the truck bed. Part of him wanted to see what would happen next.
The vehicle creaked exhaustedly once they did, as if their weight was some sort of burden for the red paint and rusting aluminum.
“Alright, Rob, I trust you. Lead the way,”
Tim grinned.
God, how he’d do anything to turn back the clock.
The pair traveled not too far out, just enough until they reached the middle of a grassy field, somewhere outside the old country town.
“This far enough, Rob?” Kon asked finally, his voice breaking the ever-growing silence. Thankfully, it was the good kind of silence, the type for comfort with every step. And step they did, because they had walked the whole way in it.
Kon never was the type for silence, he preferred to keep the conversation going, even if it was just to listen to this own voice. He didn’t have a problem this time, though. He didn’t try to encourage a small chat, let alone speak himself. He just, let Tim pull him out further and further into the growing darkness beyond.
“Yeah, this seems alright,” nodded Tim as he scanned the landscape.
“You mean to tell me you didn’t have a specific place in mind?”
He looked back at Kon. His shoulders shrugged, as if it were no big deal. “Nope.”
“And what if we hadn’t found anything like this?” Kon couldn’t help but smile. It was sweet, to think of it. He liked how eagerly he had pulled him along, through the fields of wheat and otherwise. Something about it drove him mad, to the point of pure drugged up loving amazement.
“Don’t you like it?”
“Honestly,” Kon looked around him, he noticed nothing but grass and soft warm winds that glided up his shirt. He felt the sounds of crickets in his ears and the feeling of love from the darkened clouds above. It was surely, quite the find. “I gotta say, Rob, it’s amazing.”
“See,” Tim punched his shoulder playfully, “I told you to trust me.”
“That you did.”
Maybe he was smiling too hard. Maybe he shouldn’t have stared so longingly into his eyes that long. But also, maybe he didn’t care?
“Kon?”
Tim was holding his hands out now. They cupped into a slightly enclosure bowl, to which he raised an eyebrow.
“What is it?” Asked Kon, staring at his hands.
He had his attention now, fully. Well, he did before, though now was just in less of a way that boarderliningly screamed ‘I think you’re the best thing to ever happen to me’.
“Watch,” he whispered soft words, then stared back at his own hands that parted open. A quiet, glowing yellow bug flew out ever so gracefully.
“Fireflies,”
He’d been so engrossed in his own thoughts of the land and his friend, that he hadn’t noticed the bugs around them.
They danced. Little bulbs flickering on and off like little stars that sat eye leveled. They carried a pattern of which Kon couldn’t quite decipher, so he figured it would be much better to tune out his wonders.
“You think of everything, don’t you, Rob?”
“‘Suppose I do,” beamed Tim, seeming proud.
It was a look Kon would see from then on in his sweetest scenarios.
And come night, he’d chase in his dreams.
Because, he thinks he may just be in love with Tim Drake.

Sunshine on Quiet New Jersey Nights
They had a sort of ritual going on, Tim and Kon. Sometime at the end of the week, usually on a Friday, they’d meet up after their patrols on the same old rooftop in Gotham, and just hang out. Typically, the pair would grab hotdogs or a burger and talk. They talked about their weeks, what they had missed, bragged about how many criminals they had taken out, or what girl they saved or so much as winked at. So, usual teenage superhero talk.
Really, it was pure fun, just a way to see each other during long periods of separation or even just a way to calm down from a stressful week. It was hard to connect on off seasons when Kon was stuck in metropolis and Tim in Gotham, or even worse was one one of them was stationed in a different country, or on the fucking moon.
Though, when they did meet, Tim was always there first. Obviously as a human he needed to take a breather, to relax at least a moment before carrying on after hours of taking down psychopaths and criminals. So, he allowed himself a brief ten minute cool down before Kon would come flying in.
Yet, tonight, when Tim had arrived to the usual rooftop, his eyes found Kon right away.
The Superboy didn’t look up, he didn’t say hello or even so much as acknowledge Tim’s sudden appearance. In fact, he was just sitting on the ground, slumped over so his back was pressed against the doorway to enter the actual building. He held his head in his hands, body still and almost fragile. The image of him made Tim nauseous.
“Hey!” Tim called, his smile fading further with every second Kon failed to reply. It was the most unsettling thing, seeing Kon like this, the once perky and charming half kryptonian lay broken and hushed right before him. He seemed so small now, so easy to crush and so tempting to cradle. Tim decided to take a seat next to him instead.
Kon still didn’t move once Tim planted himself at his side. He sat motionless, making no notion or gesture to so much as turn.
“Hey, clone boy, what’s wrong?” Tim tried his best to smile, he really did, though it came out a lot more depressing than he had hoped. The smile didn’t matter, though, because the clone did look up then, only he didn’t mirror his friend’s expression.
Instead, he looked dead. Numb. He looked like he had just lost everyone and every he had ever loved in a matter of seconds and like he didn’t know how to process it. Tim couldn’t stomach a smile anymore. Something was wrong, very wrong. Kon doesn’t just get upset, or at least not this upset. What happened to the boy who beamed sunshine? The one who quite literally lived off bright rays? Who had broken his precious sunshine?
“Kon,” Tim gasped, lunging forward to grasp his friend’s shoulders. His eyes scaled his face, calculating every ounce of emotion he could find and depict, it was depressing. “What happened?” He questioned rather softly, feeling as if he may choke up himself.
Kon couldn’t look him in the eye. What was so horrible to have messed up his clone boy this badly? They’d fought and seen humanity’s crimes and selfishness to every extend, so what had him so shaken up?
“I,” Kon started. He bit his lip, almost as if thinking about what to say or how to word it, maybe he thought he’d sound idiotic, or maybe that Tim would think less of him. No. He would never. Could never, think less of him. Kon was pure light. He was always undeniably upbeat and encouraging. Besides, he was his best friend, nothing could come between them this easily.
“It’s alright, you can tell me,” Tim reminded, looking at his friend with what he intended to be seen as hope, but who knew how the meta would interpret.
“I couldn’t save her,”
oh. fuck.

You’ll Love Me Again
No one ever really mentioned all the symptoms that comes with heartbreak. For one, your heart quite literally hurt. It burned. Not in the sorts that felt like heart burn, but more so like it was falling. The feeling of weightlessness. Yet, at the same time you felt as heavy as can be. From there its just full on misery. Y’know how people will say they feel like they just got hit by a truck? Yeah. Yeah its that.
“I’m uh, how do i put this without you going all vigilante mode on me? I’m into your sister,” Kon was grinning stupidly now.
Oh!
oh.
Tim felt his heart sink and then the nausea began to settle in.
“My? My what?” Tim shook his head in disbelief. Kon didn’t like him. He liked-
“Cass. Kon likes Cass, Steph,”
“Yknow when I see him next, you best believe I’m bringing that kryptonite ring, I’m gonna-“
“I feel sick to my fucking stomach,” the Robin sobbed over the phone.

The answering voice sighed. She still felt the shock of Tim crying on the phone with her, about a boy of all things. And, although the she wanted to slap the living shit out of the both of them, she also knew it was best to be calm and to let him cry on. “I know, I feel you Timmy, been there, done that,” she gave the phone a sad smile.
“I can’t even comprehend how that’s a thing. Seriously, Steph, how?!” His eyes seemed to bulge, one step closer to completely freaking out. He laid back on his bed, the phone still close to pressing against his ear, and salted tears running down his reddened cheeks.
He was a bat. A detective. Trained by old comics and the world’s greatest himself, batman. So, how on earth was he feeling so sunk by all these emotions? Why so much all this once? How was he to cry over the phone to Stephanie Brown over not just a boy, but the superboy. And, not just because he didn’t like him back—no, that wasn’t even able to be gotten out—but because he planned to ask out Tim’s own sister.
“Could my life really get anymore amusing, Steph? This is fucking humiliating,”
“Tim, I’m seriously so sorry this just all around sucks. Were you really planning on telling him, though?” The voice questioned over the device.
“Yes,” the boy cringed, “ I had a whole speech planned out to tell him tonight. Talk about bad timing,” his breath slowed. Without all the tears now, he felt tired. So completely drained for ever believing his best friend would ever see him much more than just that. Best friends.
“Why don’t you just spend some time away from him? Not exactly to cut off all contact, but more so just hanging out less? Maybe start making up excuses like Bruce needs you working on a case more, or that your parents have been home?” She suggested.
Actually, it wasn’t the worst idea, either. Kon would be okay with him being busy, and in the meantime he would take that step back and convince himself Kon wasn’t really the one.
“You’re right,”
“I am, aren’t I? Y’know it actually feels really nice to hear you say that for once, maybe just once more?” The girl pressed playfully.
He scoffed. “Yeah wouldn’t you like that?” The Robins teased one another, after all she could always make him feel better. “Alright, I think I have to call it a night. I’m gonna go throw up and then to bed.” He wasn’t lying, either. For whatever reason after speaking to Conner his head hurt like hell and his stomach carried what felt like a flu virus.
“Goodnight, Tim,”
“Night, Steph,”
               *****
“Well,”
“Well?”
“It’s been about a month,”
“Tim,”
“I think I’m actually okay this time. I don’t feel so achey around him anymore! I told you we met up after patrol tonight!” The boy exclaimed over the line, a smile captured on his lips.
“Okay, so, it went alright, then?” Steph asked. She cringed a bit. No way his feelings where just poof gone.
“Steph, it went great,” assured Tim. “I think we plan on doing the same thing tomorrow...it just nice to have my best friend back, yknow?”
“Tim, it’s really okay if you still need time, you know that, right?”
“Steph. I promise. I’m okay, my feelings for Kon are completely gone,”
*****
“You’re here on time” the boy in front of him called. A small chuckle arose, “did bats let you off early?”
“Yes, actually, how’d you know?” Tim smiled. He sat down right beside him on the edge of the rooftop. Ironically, sitting on top of a fifteen story building, next to a superhuman somehow managed to be the spot he always felt the safest. He assumed, it was all about the trust. All about a matter of not having to worry that Kon might decide to push him overboard unexpectedly, or even if the building suddenly gave out. The only fault there was, why did he still have that trust for him? Admittedly, Kon had never exactly tried to send him soaring off a rooftop, but wasn’t heart break a close equivalent?
“Tim?” The familiar hand waved in his face. Tim carefully swatted it away.
“What?”
“I asked you how your day was?”
“Oh,” Tim nodded. He even looked down as if his fingers might curate him the perfect move. Spoiler alert: they did not. “It was…well, I mean kind of slow? Patrol and all that,” the last bit came out as a mutter. Why was he there, again? Honestly, he couldn’t even look at him now. He had thought he was fine, really he did, but what exactly did fine mean? Ignorance, in this case.
The only problem was, he just couldn’t let go. In movies and literature it was always so much easier, because it just always works out for them. They have a promised happy ending. For Tim, none of that was a guarantee.
It was like..insurance. insurance that he did not have. Because, even when the character didn’t end up with their love, they still found something great—like a new person or happiness. And now, all happiness was looking like without Kon was a cold bottle of chardonnay stolen from his mother’s wine cabinet.
“Are you okay?” Kon asked then. His face carried worry and all kinds of fear.
Shit
shit
‘Don’t make me lie to you’ The shorter boy thought. He didn’t want to, it honestly wasn’t something he could find the energy for anymore. “I, uh,” he felt his phone vibrate under his thigh. He didn’t answer it, it would only be Steph wanting to know what was happening.
“What is it, Rob? Spit it out,” the meta pushed, a cheerful smile forming his face.
“I…don’t think I can?” Answered Tim.
“Huh, well, why not? Its okay, you know you can tell me anything, right?”
The raven haired boy just stared at him, mouth split open stupidly. “Right! Right. Yes, I know that,” he nodded.
“So?”
“Right…” he bit his lip till blood arose and the feeling of confidence came beside it. “Could I, show you, instead?” He requested.
“Sure? I mean, yeah. Of course you can, anything that helps,” Kon nodded willingly.
Was he really going to do that? Where was some sort of memory wiper when you needed it? He’d do anything to redo the last ten minutes.
He sighed. Was he really about to do this? In all fairness, he had been wanting to for some time. Okay, he’d do it. Okay. Maybe not? “Y’know what?” Tim turned. they were closer than he had thought they were. No going back now, right? He laughed sickly, “fuck it.” Evenly, his face melted to a smile as he leaned him, pressing his lips ever so gently against Kon’s.
He couldn’t believe it. He was kissing Kon. His best friend. The boy who unknowingly broke his heart just months ago. This was...unbelievable. It always seemed like it was so incredibly out of reach and get here he was now, kissing him. Did that mean Kon really did like-
“Woah,” and just like that he was pushed away. He’d have to fight through the tears at an arms length distance now. “Hey, sorry, Tim I’m flattered, really, it’s just-“
“Okay, look, I probably should have waited, I just, I don’t know? Ever since you were talking about Cass I just couldn’t get you off my mind, and that’s why I stayed away for so long. Look, most people can just watch, too Kon. Most can just love from afar and wait. Im sorry, but I can’t do that. Im not that person, okay? I’m selfish. So selfish. I hate that I am and i’m sorry, but I can’t just watch, okay? I can’t,” Tim heaved a breath. He wanted to get it all out so bad and now he had spoiled the vibe. “Im sorry to burst your perfect little bubble, I just fucking can’t. Now I see it was a mistake too, because i thought you liked me back. I really did,” his lip bled. Biting too hard again? “You just don’t get it, okay? We’re supposed to be together. Everyone thinks so. We’re best friends, Kon. We’re the beautiful love story. Look, I’ve been telling myself that forever, and you’re just supposed to feel the same,” he shrugged. Just as if it was no big deal.
Kon groaned. He considered for a moment to grab ok to his hands but for obvious reasons that wasn’t exactly appropriate. “Tim. Hey, you don’t have to apologize. Im glad you told me. To be honest, I kind of like you too,”
“Wait, really?” Tim smiled, searching the meta’s face for any truth.
“What? Are you even listening to me? Tim, I’m sorry but I can’t be apart of your little fantasy..” It was clear it pained his friend to say al this. “We’re not some sort of destined couple or whatever you think we are. It just doesn’t work that way, okay?”
Oh. So, not as he expected.
Right
“Well, why not?” The Robin urged, hurt growing in his blue eyes.
“I’m dating Cass,” breathed Kon. Look, we were going to tell you tomorrow but then all of this happened...I’m sorry, I should have told you,”
Ouch. Fuck. Again?
“Right,” was all he could mutter. “I’m uh. I’m sorry, Kon,” he had to leave. Had to get out of there fire his eyelids broke like dams and he had to muffle his own screams. “I think I’m going to head out, actually..goodnight, Kon,” Tim sighed. He walked off then, taking deep breaths to help ignore the boy calling his name behind him. He could catch him if he wanted to. Easily. Obviously he didn’t want to. Kon loved Cass...not Tim.
****
“I kissed him,”
“You what?!” The voice over the phone sounded livid.
“Yeah, yeah I know stupid, right?” Tim sighed. He sat on his bed, holding a chilled glass of chardonnay, just as he had promised himself.
“Im guessing it didn’t go so well?”
He could hear her cringe over the phone. Tim didn’t respond. Instead, he simply sipped his drink: dry. This one was eruopean as were most of the others, rolled in oak barrels and some sort of fruit. It was like drinking Kon’s scent. Whatever cheap cologne he decided to douce himself in every morning some how crawled its way into his head to torture him. He set the glass down.
“Im sorry, Tim, you really-”
“Its okay, Steph, really,” insisted Tim, having cut her off.
“Is it?” The girl asked genuinely.
“Yes. I’ve decided I cannot change it, so yes, its fine,”
“Wow. Okay. Thats, that’s actually very mature of you,”
The robin nodded, although obviously not visible.
“Goodnight, Steph,” he called into the phone.
“Goodnight, Tim,” she huffed back, right before leaving him in inconsiderable silence.
The boy picked up the wine glass again. He stared deeply into the few bubbled and cringed with the inhale of smoke and aged French oak.
“You’re really messing with my mind, huh, Conner Kent?”
Tim glanced around. His room was gloomy. sad. Dimmed. He wished for Kon to come light it up a bit, yet he didn’t. They’d be apart for now, but he’d turn around eventually. He would get his fantasy.

Someone to Lose
“Blood son my ass” Tim hissed as the door opened with a click. The manor was quiet, it was delicate and unloved, and for those reasons he knew for a fact nothing had changed. Maybe he was dreaming, maybe Janet and Jack were just on another expedition.
No, this time they weren’t coming back, instead long gone, forgotten and already starting to deteriorate in their oh so lovely tombs.
The manor would be out of the drake name by the end of the month. He’d allow it to be sold fully furnished and he’d take only his parents belongings with him. Tim decided he’d donate prizes they’ve brought home from expeditions to museums, the clothes would be mostly donated, jewelry pawned, and the rest? Maybe a nice storage container.
Believe it or not, but time apart from the toxic duo was relieving. Tim couldn’t see the abuse till their passing, but now he felt like he could breath. It felt almost similar to the rush he first got as robin.
Right...robin. A lost title. Dead, just like the many other special things and people in his life. All dead and buried in the back of his mind, people and things he once cherished, unlike Janet and Jack.
No more isolation, no more punches or slaps, no more mind controls and manipulation. He was free, free of parental harm and supervision, maybe he’d throw a party? He didn’t know who he’d invite. The only ones he’d care to party with were long gone, his choices in people seemed to be instead dwindling.
“That’s why we make more friends, Timothy,” he mocked his mother’s voice. Only, in the ways she meant it, it wasn’t to make friends, just slaves and people to do ones bidding, mere pawns. It was tempting, too, maybe manipulation and abuse were somehow in his DNA, maybe he was more like them than he thought.
The boy plopped down on the sofa in the sitting room, stiff, barely used just like the rest of the house. He glanced around, noticing the way the doorways arched and the carpet caved in under the legs of the opposite sofa and the million dollar coffee table in front of him. There was a bar in the corner, still fully stocked with his mother’s champagne and his father’s brandy, when was the last time it had been touched? Silence settled in then. It was cold and brutal, yet comforting in a nostalgic way of his adolescence.
Tim felt a sudden sense of pride then. He’d survived. He was on his own, all alone, no longer a puppet to dead Janet, no longer a punching bag to Jack. “I won,” he stated to the house, running a hand through his overgrown hair, a smile curving at the corners of his lips. It was victory at last, he could almost taste it on his lips, cracked and brittled. It was the sour type of victory, the kind felt after revenge. They were dead after all, and the part of him that did love them, felt guilty for not doing more, but out of all the loss he’d faced lately, maybe these deaths he could alter into a slight win, rather than a typical lose.
“I won,” he restated, this time standing up and strutting over to the bar. He pulled out a bottle of champagne from the mini fridge along with a long glass. He’s done so all the many times before, pouring his mother a flute of champagne and his father a shot of brandy, only this time it wasn’t for them, and the alcohol wouldn’t be accompanied with loud fights and more often than not Jack taking it out on his son. He took his glass, champagne poured nearly to the brim.
“To the drakes!” The teen exclaimed with a grin, the liquid sloshing around as he raised the glass to no one. Tim took a glance around the room, giving each piece of furniture, wall, and conversation piece a lively and proud look before he allowed himself to continue, “may we all burn in hell.”
