I just realized. One thing that Optimus will certainly be educated on by the Primes in the Haunted AU is the various was One Can Kill A Quintesson! Leaving some Autobots confused at times when he's teaching them in return because 'This sounds pretty Specific...???'

It's slightly competitive on the Primes' part because yeah, the Deceptions do got the High Guard being good at killing Quintessons too but. They're the Real Experts. (Are they salty? Naaaah they're not. Much. Kinda.)

they got so good at squishing the goddamn bugs and they're thrilled they can save Optimus the pain of figuring out their weak points through trial and error like they did. they're gonna make a pro out of their baby brother in no time.

and if they just so happen to know some of the Decepticons will be majorly pissed off at the fact OP is already on par with the best of what used to be the High Guard when he only has a fraction of their experience... well, happy coincidences, y'know?

and if they happen to teach Optimus how to crack open a Quintesson in just the right way to make some Decepticons see ghosts through him... that's between them and the people they're haunting :)

Can't believe Bruce canonically picked up a random 12yo homeless child who had no intent to become a vigilante and suddenly thrust Robin onto him without asking if that's what he wanted because he missed Dick (whom he fired because being Robin was too dangerous) and people still act like any take that's not "all the Batkids became vigilantes on their own completely independent of Bruce (who tried so hard to stop them but sadly just couldn't do it)" is a complete idiotic bad-faith take and that you're crazy if you disagree with people saying that Bruce has never ever absolutely NEVER picked up a kid for the purpose of making them into a vigilante.

words cannot express how much I adore that Mal's reaction to seeing a human baby for the first time was "the fuck is this. why does it look like that. gross." (then he immediately got stuck on babysitting duty and the rest is history)

I am SUCH a sucker for that trope of "non-humans being fascinated by normal human behavior", so between that and all the delicious angst going on I was eating VERY well. >:) Malleus being so impressed that two-year-old Silver can walk, because it took him twenty years to stand on two legs! Lilia barging in on the Zigvolts at 2 AM being like "he won't stop crying what do I do"! Imagine for a moment: you've got wangxian morons both thinking that the other is a human. Wei Wuxian (the beloved Summer/Spring Court Fae), who has been stowed away in the Autumn Court all his life, has never met any Fae outside of the Autumn Court, and Lan Wangji (Winter Court Fae) has met all of the other Courts apart from the Summer Court (which is basically extinct apart from Wei Wuxian) and the Spring Court (because they have isolated themself from the rest of the world) so he's like "obviously this is just a human who is using charms to gain Fae features like the humans from the Winter Court". Cue wild shenanigans where they keep bumping each other and completely believing that the other is a human so being all like "this fucking human should NOT be here, also how is this human SO PRETTY?!?! HUMANS SHOULDN'T BE PRETTIER THAN FAE!!!" while the Jiang siblings completely believe that this 'Hanguang-Jun' Winter Court human pet is trying to seduce Wei Wuxian into joining the Winter Court despite not knowing what Court he's from, and Lan Xichen (and Nie Huaisang, a Night Court Fae) completely thinks that Lan Wangji is going insane whenever he talks about this 'Yiling Laozu' human. SORRY FOR RAMBLING BUT I NEEDED TO YAPPER TO SOMEONE WHO'S NOT HEARD OF IT BEFORE. I'M HEARTBROKEN AND ALONE (/silly/silly)

Alpha-17 being a mother hen to the other Alphas* is something we need to see more. Jangotat survives because Alpha stomps in, shrieking obscenities, and drags his ass away, pausing only to yell at Obi-Wan for daring to put his little brother in danger (nevermind that that's what they're currently supposed to do). Maze doesn't tell him about Ordo punching him because if he did, Alpha would make sure the body wouldn't be recognizable as a corpse. Muzzle and Fordo don't get that brotherly overprotectiveness because they're just as prone to mother-henning as Alpha is. On their days off, the three of them team up to make the lives of anyone who dares fuck with their siblings hell.

*Specifically the Alphas that serve the Republic. Do you really think Mr. "They grow up loyal to the Republic or they don't grow up at all" would be at all sympathetic to Sull and Spar's reasons? The best case scenario is that he tells them that he's pulled some strings (read: blackmailed and threatened) to get them back into the GAR scot-free and if they do not accept it he will break their fucking limbs and drag them back.

Amity Park absolutely adores her little ghostling, her little Gatekeeper who was of her own ectoplasm, reborn from her own blood in the center of her new heart. She absolutely adores her baby, practically a newborn, being only a year dead! 

So of course she had to gush and boast about her little phantom to the other city spirits! They all got together to gossip sometimes after all. And both Smallville and Fawcett started to gush about their own little ones back! 

Gosh they should set up a playdate at some point, her little phantom could use some friends in the mortal realm. Well some more friends, three is obviously not enough. Oh, Gotham and Bludhaven have come over as well! It’s a playdate then! 

Now if only each of their world’s timelines were synced up, but at least everyone is around the same age!

So I was just rewatching the end of episode 5 once or twice (no particular reason), and realised Ed specifies really clearly when he says about fishing being man vs beast: 'I'm the man and the beast is beneath the sea' and that sentence is so meaningful coming from a man who for all his adult life has thought of himself as a kraken or a monster who deserved to drown.

He is healing through fishing 🎣 And the crew are healing through shared creative projects like the unicorn leg and the bizarre cursed suit raid.
