I don't own this song, but I couldn't find any copy of it on the internet aside from The Mod Archive. It's a really underrated song imo and I wanted to give it some love, so I made a YouTube video of it.

show us the weirdest little gadget you have that you love
I LOVE GADGETS! Its not so little but I love my Octatrack MKII. I’ve owned the OP-1, Z, M8 tracker, Polyend tracker, and this is my favorite sampling device outta all of them. It has so much hidden depth and cool unique funky ways to process and modulate sounds, both with samples ofc and also LIVE, and you can retrigger via MIDI (u can loop midi back into itself and do live resampling), ho boy its good. Max marco on YouTube showed me what this beast can truly do. Perfect IDM glitchy dnb machine. I also love my two semi modular little synths, the 0-coast and quandrantid swarm

AK! Jason Todd x Hostage! Reader
TW: Mental abuse, brief mentions of physical abuse, kidnapping, mentions of death, guilt tripping, all of the fun things you'd kinda assume would be in a fic like this.
Lmk if y'all want more of this!
Tumblr media
You used to think love was a choice. That staying meant something. That it was proof of loyalty, of devotion. What utter bullshit. Does it really exist if there's no way out?
Jason doesn’t call it captivity. He calls it protection. And maybe, in some twisted way, he believes that. But you know better. The steel walls of the militia compound aren’t just barriers against the outside world. They’re a coffin for the person you used to be. For who that scrawny, little Robin used to be.
At first, you fought. Not physically—you knew better than that. Jason cared just a little too much: enough to never lay a hand on you, at least. But you pleaded, argued, reasoned. Tried to remind him of who he was, of who you both were before.
Before he died.
But Jason doesn’t like talking about that. He doesn’t even like you saying his name half the time. He’s the Arkham Knight now. His war is all he sees, all he breathes. And you’re just another part of the world he needs to control.
There was a time, way before any of the horrible things he's seen, that he didn't need control. He used to love uncertainty and thrills. He used to love the magic that being Robin gave him.
He used to love you.
It hadn’t been like this in the beginning. When he first took you, there was still a sliver of the boy you loved beneath the armor. His hands had been careful when they came anywhere near, his voice almost gentle beneath the modulators of his helmet when he told you he was keeping you safe. But as the days bled into weeks, the edges of that gentleness frayed. Now, he barely looks at you.
You catch glimpses sometimes—flashes of regret, of something softer behind his mask. But they’re fleeting, gone before you can grasp them.
And every day, hope rots inside you a little more.
The base is quiet tonight, as it has been for weeks. Things needed to be quiet for Jason to really surprise the Bat. Most of the militia is out, running drills, preparing for whatever Jason has planned next. You sit on the edge of the cot, staring at the heavy door. Not locked, but pointless to try. There are guards, cameras, a world outside that isn’t yours anymore.
The room is silent. Dark. So unbearably empty yet also so uncomfortably claustrophobic. That's another thing that's changed about Jason since he came back- he can't do small spaces.
You run your fingers along the band around your wrist—a tracker. He gave it to you himself, fastened it with steady hands. “So I don’t have to worry about you,” he’d said. Like it was a kindness. Like it's a privilege to have his "protection."
With a heavy swing, the door opens. Jason steps inside slowly, armored and imposing, helmet off but still distant. This is one of three times you've even seen his face since he kidnapped you. He's scarred and matured, but beneath the branding marks and marred skin, you can almost point out features of the old Robin. His eyes, now a vibrant green instead of the blue you once loved, rake over you, assessing. It's almost like he's trying to compartmentalize you, put every little action you take into a box in his mind.
“You ate?” His voice is rough, tired. Like he died all over again and just crawled his way out of his grave, fingers still bleeding with shattered nails dressing them.
You nod. He doesn’t need to know you barely touched the food. And that's it. For a long while, it's just a heavy, unspoken silence.
Jason exhales before sitting beside you. The cot dips and creaks under his weight. “I don’t like keeping you here.”
“Bullshit."
The answer is cut and dry, like you've thought of it a thousand times before. And, honestly, you have. After all these months of being nothing more than a bird in a cage, there isn't much thought to blunt answers like that. Either you speak up and thin out his patience, or stay silent and take it.
His jaw tightens. “You don’t get it.”
“You're right. I don't."
His laugh is bitter. “Did you really think you would still know me? That you could agree with me until I let you go on 'good behavior'?”
Your throat closes. No. You didn’t. Not anymore. And that’s the worst part. You know the new color of his eyes, the new scars on his skin, the drive he has to get what he wants. You know what you see- nothing less, and nothing more.
You don't see Batman's favorite Robin anymore.
Jason looks at you then, really looks at you. And for the first time in weeks, you see something crack. A glimpse of the boy who used to hold you like you were the best thing in his world.
His hand rises, hesitates, then cups your cheek. You lean into it before you can stop yourself. His touch is warm, familiar.
“I miss you,” you whisper, barely audible.
His fingers tighten against your skin, not enough to hurt, but enough to put significant pressure on your jaw. It's a show of strength and power, if nothing else. His face twists like those three words hurt more than any whack of a crowbar ever could.
Then the moment shatters. He stands abruptly, pulling away like the touch of your skin against his gloves burned. The warmth vanishes, leaving nothing but cold air and emptiness.
“Get some sleep." To anybody else, the words sound like a command. An order. But beneath that, there's a hint of a plea to his tone. The door clicks shut behind him. He doesn't lock it. He knows he doesn't have to. He knows you won't leave.
You don’t cry. You haven’t in a long time. You doubt you will any time soon, either. When kept hostage by somebody who knows every single detail about you, tears are weakness. A vulnerability that he could use to beckon you right back into his arms and cradle your trembling form to sleep.
Tears can wait. Until tomorrow night, at least. Because love isn’t a choice anymore. It’s just another prison.

Bonjour Factual! Sorry it's been a bit since I sent an ask, life has been pretty crazy! But I finally found the time to write and tell you how AMAZING your Transformers art these past few days have been! As I've said before, Prime is a childhood show of mine, and I'm amazed to see how well you have captured the characters personalities, and how seamlessly you've mastered drawing the designs in your art style (even if it takes time!)
Also, Im so glad you've explored the Optimus/Ratchet dynamic the show occasionally showed- and also I just wanted to point out your observation regarding Ratchet is correct! Back during the war on Cybertron, as shown in the aligned continuity prequel novels and games, Ratchet was an absolute BEAST on the battlefield, fighting right alongside Prime as both a field medic and elite warrior.
Tumblr media
He really only took a backseat by the time he got back to Earth because his age was finally catching up to him, and because, as the last living medic/space bridge tech in the area, was too valuable to risk losing. As you pointed out, the few times he does fight in the show he proves to still be very capable, only really outclassed by the Decepticon higher ups. (So feel free to make the old man as cool as you want in any future works!)
However! Before I go, there is one thing that I must protest as a loyal Vehicon enjoyer! In your recent post, you referred to them as Drones! Among Vehicons the term "drone" is considered a derogatory term, which you'll notice some Cons like Starscream (of course) use often in the show. This is untrue! Though a lesser known fact, one I believe I've mentioned before, the Vehicons are Clones, not Drones! Every individual we see is an individual cybertronian, fighting for the Decepticon cause!
Tumblr media
The show even confirms this in several ways! For one, if you listen closely, every single Vehicon who speaks in the show is given a unique voice actor despite their shared bodies, and many display distinct personalities- some openly loathe Starscream, while others seem to highly respect him for example. Breakdown is even seen casually chatting with one! And on the darker side of things, Ratchet of course knew he could torture one for information when on his synth rampage- and also, the spark extractor super weapon works on them, showing individual souls pulled from each helpless Vehicon! 😢
Tumblr media
On the bright side, several go on to survive the war, and prove their individuality in the various sequel series- including the bounty hunter Shadelock, who actually had his face seemingly reconstructed to stick out from his cloned brethren:
Tumblr media
As well as the fan favorite, Steve! Poor guy got his brain module scrambled and forgot his original name, so he just picked one off a human billboard he saw! (He also ended up turning over a new leaf, and he, alongside some other Vehicons, decided to stop fighting the Autobots, and they left on good terms)
Tumblr media
But forgive the rant! I've Always enjoyed the Vehicons small but important role as not-so-emotionless cannon fodder in the show, and if you rewrite them as Drones that's fine by me! The new movie TF One kinda did that with the Death Trackers, who were directly inspired by the Vehicons! Regardless, I wish you a wonderful day Factual! Hope your health is holding up! ( Oh, and almost forgot, thanks a million for drawing foxy again! Still one of my favorite series of yours! Here's to hoping to see him again someday! )
Thank you so much, I appreciate all the compliments! :DD But all this Vehicon chatter feels like.. honestly like its riddled with plot holes-
The reason I say this, is because all that you said about Vehicon clones clashes with what we see with Starscreams clones in season 2 episode 10.
Tumblr media
In this episode, Starscream walks into that lab and calls the base bodies "protoforms". But right after this he says "Lets give cloning a whirl, shall we?" And later on Megatron refers to them as "clones". So its safe to say that these 5 Starscreams are CLONES.
This is where the Starscreams clash with the Vehicons. First, they all have Starscreams exact voice. And they claim "We are as one commander." "We share your memories." "Your very feelings." "Even your insatiable quest for power." Yet despite the Vehicons ALSO being clones, they all have different voices and opinions. How?
So by extension, if they are clones and are meant to have the same feelings and opinions as each other- just like the Starscreams- then how come some of them turned Autobot, while others took pleasure in beating Orion (amnesia Optimus) down and kicking him in the face while he refused to fight? That doesn't line up with what we saw in S2 EP10.
And another point, the Vehicons had their sparks ripped out by the spark extractor. A spark is the "soul" of a Transformer. So are you saying that Cybertronians have the ability to create souls like primus did? These measly mortal bots have the ability to create literal souls and life via cloning? Talk about overpowered technology and playing God..
These few points made me lean towards other options that in my mind, make a little more sense then what we see with the Starscreams and Vehicons..
The main solution I'm leaning towards is to make them like Starscreams clones. An important point is they do NOT have sparks. They are like robots or.. dare I say drones- in the most literal sense. They all have the same voice and same mind. They were probably cloned long ago from a few specific loyal warriors that Megatron had. The originals don't exist anymore so now new sets of clones are clones of clones of clones. Which slowly degrades the quality of the clones overtime. Which is why you'll have like 10 surrounding 1 bot and NONE OF THEM land a single shot. Its because their aim and reaction time had deteriorated over the multiple clone generations.
Its also why they are so expendable and Megatron never seems to run out of them. If they don't have real sparks, they're not real people. So there is absolutely no loss to the Deceptions when they die. They can just make a copy of that exact fallen soldier over and over again. Its why the Autobots don't seem too upset when they kill all of those Vehicons and don't hesitate to hurt them.
Also Optimus could have gotten on Ratchets case when he attacked that miner because even though it's just a clone, its still a miner clone. His morals still apply to this creature. Also it doesn't have the mind or emotions of a fighter. It was afraid and wasn't designed to/couldn't protect itself. So Ratchet attacking it- despite it not being a living Cybertronian, was wrong.
Now all this to say- I'm not trying to insult Vehicons or anyone's love/opinions on them. I feel like some of my TFP views have been clashing with a lot of people lately.. I just cant help but read things wrong or get analytical or try to sniff out plot holes.
The Vehicons don't seem to make sense to me because they are nothing like Starscreams clones. And they have sparks, which shouldn't make sense.
So either I change the canon and remove their sparks and individuality to line up with the Starscreams clones, or I make them all real and individual people who would absolutely be much harder to fight then the canon Vehicons because they have real battle experience and real minds like the Autobots do. (Having real people would also cause so much more chaos in the Decepticon ranks that I don't think Megatron could keep them under control)

AU: Dukes got a strange new teacher, Jason has a weird neighbour, Dick helped a poor civillian with two broken legs, and Tim's got a bad feeling about the knew Wayne Enterprises employee. Who knew they'd turn out to be the same person? Or... Dannys stuck in Gotham, how, why, when? To be confirmed, although, he's positive its something to do with a certain time-turning asshole. But now he's got bats on his tail and a serious case of the munchies. Good thing Sam and Tucker learned early on to slap a tracker on his phone.
----
Smol Teaser
Dick stumbled forwards, chain rattling around his foot as it pulled taunt. He hit the deck.
“No!”
Duke closed his eyes – and for a moment, he wondered what it would’ve been like if he’d just stayed home like he’d planned to – as Danny descended, mouth split into a feral smile and scythe in motion.
Then, “Bang!”
Dukes’ ears screamed as something exploded, a sonic boom erupting somewhere to his right. A fiery green blast flashed through the air, smacking into Danny like a sledgehammer and sending him hurtling into the concrete pillar in a blast of dust and debris.
Duke took in a sharp breath, eyes fettering over where the teacher landed. His eyes locked on Dick, who was staring over his shoulder from his place on the floor.
“Ha! Bullseye!” Duke startled at the voice and whipped to his right. “I am literally a God.”
Had he been transported to Men in Black right now? Because there was no other explanation for what this was right now. The owner of the voice was a young African American, with neat cornrows and dressed in a suit straight out of MIB, save for the sunglasses which were substituted for a slick pair of black framed glasses.
With a huff, the newcomer hefted an enormous smoking bazooka to rest between his shoulder blade and collarbone. He looked over the room with a grin. “Worry not ladies, knight with shining armour reporting for duty.” He proclaimed with a cheeky grin and a wink, patting the weapon’s steel side fondly, “No, need to thank me. Just doing my job.”
There was a click, and the stranger froze, “Who in the hell are you?” Jason growled through his modulator, stepping out of the shadows to the left of new guy, pistol aimed for a head shot.
The stranger’s eyes slid, acknowledging Jason’s gun from his peripheral. “Sure…” He drawled cautiously, ‘shoot the man with the bazooka. Do it.”
Jason pulled out his second gun. Head titling in challenge.
New guy grinned. “Geez, calm your tits. Names Foley, Tucker Foley.” He reached into his blazer pocket, pulling out a badge. “FBI”
The FBI?
Jason lowered his pistols. “The fuck is the FBI doing in Gotham?” Duke would like to know the same thing.
Tucker shrugged, “Shits and gigs” he said, dropping the bazooka from his shoulder, and catching its nose on his foot before he propped it up against the closest wall. He swivelled, jabbing a finger over at the downed spectre. “Mostly that troublemaker though. Do you mind if I–actually, why am I even asking you?” He stalked over to the cracked concrete pillar and jabbed at foot at Dukes downed teacher, shifting his lifeless body “Oi, Danny.”
Duke didn’t know how to break the news. “Um, Mr. Foley? He’s not–Well, he was killed by something, we don’t know what exactly. I don’t think he’s–yeah…Sorry.” Ever so eloquently put.
Tucker raised a brow, “Are you trying to tell me he’s dead?”
Duke resisted the urge to point out that this Tucker guy did actually shoot him into the wall with a bazooka. He was dead before anyway, but still.
“Obviously,” Jason grumbled, crossing his arms. “Some occult thing.”
“Right.” Tucker’s face twisted into a slight frown, and he nudged the body again. “Danny, stop foxing and get up.”
There was a groan and Duke took an involuntary step back.
Tucker prodded Danny again. “C’mon, up and at ‘em.”
“5 more minutes.” Danny rolled over onto his side. “M’kay?”
Dick’s mouth was wide open at the scene. “Are you serious right now?”
Danny popped his head up, hair and face covered in dust, his eyes narrowed. “You’d think coming at them with a scythe would scare them off, right Tuck?”
“I told you it wasn’t going to work.” A feminine voice came from the doorway, and a woman stepped into the room. “But please, feel free to be disappointed.” She was dressed in back cargo pants, and a cropped purple tee, dark hair neatly braided down her back. She leaned against the door, “You missed our anniversary.” She said pointedly towards Danny.
Danny dropped his head back to the floor. “Can we go back to when I was just a lifeless corpse?”
Tucker gwuaffed. “You’re already a lifeless corpse, there’s nothing to go back to, stupid."

December 03, 2024
338/366 Days of Growth
I restarted my dawn walks, as Rio de Janeiro is hot as hell, and the only way to walk without fainting is very (very) early in the morning.
I am also making doodles for my habit tracker (my drawing needs to me improved 😝 but it is cute enough for me).
I delivered my MBA essay and got a 9.0/10.0... I am pissed off due to this 1.0 point, as the reason to take it off was not on the task description 🙄 And yes, I am a nerd 🤓 I wanted that 1.0.
I am in the finale module now, and there's just the final project to deliver, do I will be able to enjoy the holidays in peace ✌🏾
This year was wild and tough, but I feel like recording everything here helped me understand that I did a lot, giving my best. So, I am grateful for it, and I hope my planting provides me with good things for 2025.
I must finish my network fundamentals book and start Cisco's Ethical Hacker course!
PS: Saw this orange cat while I was walking, so cute!

people talking without speaking / people hearing without listening
Hwang brothers | ao3
Tumblr media
“Anyone who died was simply a player who lost the game. Trash eliminated from the competition.”
Was that how he saw Jun-ho, when he pulled the trigger on the cliff? Was this what In-ho had told himself? That he was just clearing out garbage? That Jun-ho – bleeding, begging for the truth – was already one of the discarded?
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ○△□ ❫ ・━━━━━ ❜
Jun-ho burst through the back door of the club, heart pounding, the cold night air cutting sharp against his skin. The tracker in his hand beeped rapidly – faster, urgent. His breath caught as he looked up and spotted It.
A sleek white limousine rolled slowly away from the curb, its taillights a soft red glow in the dark.
That’s him.
He rushed toward the car he’d parked two blocks down, threw himself behind the wheel, and turned the key so hard it nearly snapped. The engine roared to life, tires skidding as he tore out of the alley and onto the street, his eyes flicking between traffic and the blinking red dot on the tracker screen.
“Kim,” he said into the mic, trying to steady his breathing. “They just got into a white limousine. I want everyone tailing it. Remember, we need to capture him alive.”
“Go,” came Kim’s voice over comms.
Jun-ho took a corner too fast, the tires squealing. He didn’t care. He needed eyes on that limo. He needed –
Then he heard it.
A voice, low and distorted through a modulator – but not distorted enough. “Player 456. You remember this car? We spoke in here once before.”
Jun-ho’s foot faltered on the gas. He knew that voice. He would know it anywhere. His chest seized.
Hyung.
“I honestly hoped you would have a good life… that you’d put the past behind you and find happiness.”
The words were spoken like a stranger giving a speech. Polite. Clean. Empty.
Jun-ho’s eyes burned. His breath stilled. It had been years. Years of silence. Years of grief. Of wondering. Of waiting.
And now here it was.
His brother’s voice, sudden and cold, spilling through his earpiece like a ghost.
‘You left me. You shot me and left me to die.’
And now he was speaking again, like none of it mattered. As if those years meant nothing. As if Jun-ho hadn’t nearly drowned in the cold ocean, the taste of saltwater and blood in his throat, his brother’s voice the last thing he heard before the world went black.
“You should have gotten on that plane.”
His knuckles whitened on the steering wheel. There it was again – the same patronizing tone, the one he used when he wanted to end a conversation before it began. The same tone he used before pulling the trigger.
‘You always said you wanted to protect me. You always said we were in this world together. And now you're… what? Lecturing him?’
Gi-hun’s voice rang out in response – bitter, edged. Jun-ho caught pieces of it: “Stop the game once and for all.”
Jun-ho wanted to agree with him. To scream along with him. But all he could do was listen.
Then came his brother’s reply – matter-of-fact, devoid of regret. “We only created it. All of you chose to participate… of your own free will.”
‘Is that how you sleep at night, hyung?’
Jun-ho’s eyes burned. He blinked hard, focusing on the road. He couldn’t afford to fall apart. Not yet. His heart twisted violently.
‘You sound like one of them now. You sound like you’ve forgotten who you were.’
And then –
“Anyone who died was simply a player who lost the game. Trash eliminated from the competition.”
The word echoed.
Trash.
He felt it settle inside his ribs like a stone. He stared forward, but his mind fractured.
Was that what In-ho saw when he looked at the players? Was that how he saw the people who begged, who cried, who fell to their knees as gunfire tore through them?
Was that how he saw Jun-ho, when he pulled the trigger on the cliff?  Was this what In-ho had told himself? That he was just clearing out garbage? That Jun-ho – bleeding, begging for the truth – was already one of the discarded?
‘Did you look at me and think I was trash too? Something to be thrown away to keep the gears of your precious machine turning?’
“Our world is filling up with more and more trash.”
Jun-ho couldn’t breathe.
His brother – the same man who used to stay up late with him playing cards when their mom worked the night shift, who used to kneel beside him when he was sick and whisper that everything would be okay – was now calmly discussing human lives like they were garbage.
Like they deserved to die.
And Jun-ho was supposed to just listen. Stay quiet. Stay still.
“Do you guys have eyes on the limo?” he forced out, voice barely his own.
“Yeah, I can see it,” Kim answered. “They’re on the Seogang Bridge, heading toward Yeouido. What’s next?”
Jun-ho’s tongue felt dry. “Don’t do anything yet,” he said. “We gotta catch him somewhere less public.”
Kim confirmed. Jun-ho barely heard him.
He could still hear his brother.
Still hear him justifying it.
Every word chipped away at something inside him. The part of him that still remembered In-ho sitting beside him at the table. Reading to him. Pulling him out of bed when he overslept. The one who shielded him from everything their father said. The one who stayed.
That In-ho was gone.
“You think you can buy us like racehorses…” Gi-hun was still talking. Still fighting. Still trying to break through.
But In-ho just chuckled. “You’ve become more eloquent,” he responded. A joke. He was making jokes. “So, your plan is to try and convince the horse owners to put a stop to the race?”
Jun-ho’s mouth twisted into something between grief and disbelief.
He sounded so calm. So composed. Like none of this was real to him. Like he wasn’t talking about people – just systems. Rules. Mechanics.
‘Like you forgot what it meant to be human.’
Kim came back on the line. “We’re still on its tail. But something’s wrong. This feels off.”
“What do you mean?” Jun-ho asked.
“We just keep circling inner Yeouido.”
Jun-ho’s chest tightened. “They might’ve caught on to us,” he said. “All right, stop the limo now.”
“Copy. Commencing operation.”
A moment of tense silence.
Then – gunfire erupted. Screaming tires. Chaos through the earpiece.
“Sniper!” Jun-ho heard Kim shout. “Cars One and Two are pinned down! We can’t proceed!”
Jun-ho didn’t hesitate. “I’ll follow the limo.”
He yanked the wheel, pushed forward – and then heard it. The quiet, high-pitched beep from beneath his feet.
His eyes darted down – and everything stopped.
No –
The car jerked violently, swerving hard as if the brakes had been slammed for him. Then an angry crack of electricity. Sparks burst out from under the dashboard and the console lit up in a violent strobe of red. The engine coughed, choked – and died.
Jun-ho fought it on instinct, ripping the wheel around, forcing it into a partial turn as the tires screamed across the asphalt.
Jun-ho slammed both fists against the wheel.
“Damn it!” he shouted, throwing the door open and stepping out. The cold air hit his face like a slap.
He stalked around the side of the car, struck the roof with his open palm. The metal beneath his palm rattled from the force of the hit, but Jun-ho barely felt it.
His hand lingered on the roof for a second longer, then dropped.
He stood still.
In the middle of the intersection. Under flickering traffic lights and buzzing streetlamps. The world around him felt like it had stopped. Empty. Breathless.
He pressed the earpiece tighter against his ear, needing to hear, needing something.
“Stop the car,” Gi-hun said. His voice was firm.
Then – a gunshot.
Jun-ho flinched.
It was reflex. A full-body jolt. The memory of cold metal, the recoil, the cliff. His brother’s voice, then the fall. Water in his lungs. The sound of the ocean swallowing him whole.
This wasn’t the same – but it felt like it.
Then came In-ho’s voice, smooth and calm through the modulator. “Did you really think you could end a game like this with one little gun?”
Jun-ho exhaled slowly, jaw clenched.
It wasn’t just what In-ho said. It was how he said it. Unbothered. Remote. As if nothing Gi-hun did mattered. As if death, survival, morality – none of it touched him anymore.
“Let me play the game again,” Gi-hun said.
There was a pause – short, tight – before In-ho answered: “You want to play again?”
His tone hadn’t changed. Still calm. Still unshaken. As if this was a simple question, like offering a drink.
“I want you to send me in there again,” Gi-hun said.
Jun-ho could only stare at the asphalt in front of him, unmoving.
“A few moments ago, weren’t you telling me to stop the game?”
Jun-ho clenched his jaw.
It wasn’t just the words. It was how he said them – lightly, like pointing out a contradiction in a class debate. There was no real challenge behind it. No warning.
Just… amusement.
Then Gi-hun pushed further – Jun-ho could hear the shift in his voice. Sharper now. Provoking. “Your rich bosses will love it, won’t they?” he said. “The returning winner who came back to play. Make it all even more entertaining.”
And In-ho… didn’t push back.
Didn’t refute a word.
Jun-ho shut his eyes for a moment and pressed the earpiece harder, as if that could change what he was hearing.
Gi-hun told him to go ahead. To do it. Knock him out. Take him back. He was daring him now – demanding to know what was stopping him.
And In-ho still wasn’t rising to it.
Jun-ho waited.
He waited for hesitation. For discomfort. For something that would remind him this was still his brother.
But there was nothing.
Instead, he replied – so casually it knocked the wind out of Jun-ho: “Have you seen The Matrix?”
Jun-ho froze.
He’d heard those words before. He and In-ho watched it together on a worn-out DVD, curled up on the sunken couch in their tiny living room, years ago. In-ho had brought it home from a discount bin at the rental store. Said it was a “classic,” said it’d blow Jun-ho’s mind.
He could still see it – the flickering screen, the bowl of instant popcorn between them, the way In-ho had dramatically held out two buttons, pretending they were pills.
He remembered laughing. Pretending to dodge bullets in the hallway. In-ho sweeping his coat back like he was about to fly.
They watched it three times that weekend.
It was stupid. It was warm. It was them.
And now?
“They could take the blue pill and live in comfort,” In-ho said, “but they take the red pill instead. Just so they can play the hero.”
Jun-ho swallowed hard.
How could he say that now?
That memory wasn’t a metaphor. It was his life. Their life. Jun-ho’s childhood. Their escape from everything they didn’t have. And now it was just another tool. Another layer in the armor In-ho wore to justify everything he’d become.
And then his brother asked – with that same unbearable calm: “What about you? Do you think you’re a hero too? Do you think you can change the world?”
Jun-ho didn’t answer. He couldn’t. He didn’t feel like a hero. He didn’t feel like anything at all.
Gi-hun’s voice came back, sharper now, more urgent. “I can prove it to you. That you’re wrong. That the world isn’t always gonna work… how you think it should.”
Jun-ho stood frozen in place.
Waiting.
And then, softly – inevitably: “If that’s what you want, then so be it.”
A hiss followed – unmistakable. He’d heard that sound before. Knew what came after. Gas. A sedative. They were knocking Gi-hun out. Taking him back.
A quiet cough.
And then –
“Player 456,” his brother said, like it meant nothing at all, “welcome back to the game.”
Jun-ho didn’t move. Didn’t speak.
The streetlights changed above him. Yellow to red. Red to green. The world kept turning.
But something in him had stopped.
He turned back toward the car, climbed in, sat behind the wheel. The tracker blinked. Still moving. Still alive.
He stared at it.
Then, he pushed the button on his earpiece.
“All teams,” he said, “Plan B is now in effect.”

Oops! All Updates (and Fixes)!
Tumblr media
I've got a bunch of fixes and updates to some of my older mods and I decided to release them all in a batch. Please read below for the details to see what has been changed and then links to the files to redownload and replace in your game.
If this is your first time downloading, obviously you'll need to download everything and you should read the original post for more information.
As always, let me know if any issues and enjoy!
Voidcritters Mod
Tumblr media
Fixed Read Card Stats animation
Added a new interaction to allow your sims to talk about and compare their cards. Sims will build relationship, gain skill and train their critters a little as well (the cards will vibrate as the critters train up)
Giving a rare or limited edition card to another Sim will yield a higher relationship boost.
Previously there was no way to get all 22 cards in the game as you only get one of the two Limited Edition cards. I've fixed that by adding the chance to also get Limited Edition cards by reading a Voidcritters comic book. There's a 25% chance if you have less than level 8 skill and 45% if 8 or higher.
Now that Sims can collect all cards, I've added a new skill opportunity. Sims that collect all the cards will get the Critter Collector reward and going forward their cards will be worth more.
Download MAIN file here and updated card file here
Student Council Mod
Tumblr media
The Collect Signatures interaction now has a more appropriate animation of a sim collecting signatures
Increased the chances that more inactive council members will autonomously raise funds and collect signatures
The campaign tracker will no longer show blank information after you've closed out and restarted the game
All campaign icons will now show up in the notifications
Fixed an issue where the Sim would reset when submitting signatures for the Teacher Pay school campaign
Reduced the skilling level for council roles while at the afterschool activity
Download updated MAIN here
Hang Out Mod
Tumblr media
Children and teens can now hang out in groups. Simply click on one of the two Sims hanging out and select “Hang Out with X and his/her friends” (you need to have LTR 30 or higher)
A child or a teen hanging out can also invite another friend to join them
I think you can have up to 8 Sims given that I have 7 in the photo and there's still room.
Added liking VFX and speech bubbles when hanging out
Download here (all ages version here)
Washer+Dryer Combo
Tumblr media
I created a new mesh for the washer/dryer so it slots under the counter like dishwashers and trash compactors.
Added a stacked washer/dryer tower. This still uses the same script as the single appliance so you can’t run the washer and the dryer at the same time.
Changed out the pod and detergent box meshes
Important: If you have the old version, you need to replace with this or remove it. You can't have both the old version and this one in your game or it will CTD. Also, the script is in the Combo file so you still need to download both if you only want the stacked tower version.
Download here (stacked version here)
Private Clinic (BASE)
Tumblr media
The clinic controller will now push Sims that have certain traits as well, such as Neurotic, Commitment Issues, Insane, Hotheaded, etc.
Once pushed to the clinic, Sims will find a chair to sit in and then wait for an hour to be seen by a doctor. After an hour, they will stop waiting with an annoyed message (you can still see them though).
Waiting patients now identified with a custom headline effect
Prenatal vitamins no longer have a weight loss effect (as I'm putting a similar feature in the breastfeeding aspect of the obgym module, it's not needed here)
Updated the Buy and Sell Pills animations
Updated the comically large horsepill mesh to make it smaller and more realistic. The animation has been updated as well
Updated the write prescription animation
Updated the apply ointment animation
Download updated MAIN here
Private Clinic - Psychiatry
Tumblr media
Updated the therapist session animations – therapist will now take more notes to jot down how crazy you are
Updated the patient records layout to avoid text overflow
Sims can now do their coping mechanisms (breathing exercises and mindfulness) while sitting
Important: You need to download the updated Private Clinic MAIN file above as well if you download this
Download updated MAIN here
Disclaimer: My CAS cc for this world was not loaded. I am not responsible for any of these Sims' outfit choices.

Planedawn Orphans
It is such the nature of humanity that we every so often reinvent Homestuck
Genre: Found Family, Vaguely fantasy?, multiverse game (Kinda)
Touchstones: Planescape (they don't mention it but I imagine Torment's party specifically was probably a big inspiration), Dark Heart of the Dreamer
What is this game?: Game's a generous term, Planedawn Orphans is a system-agnostic campaign kit meant to introduce a general story loop to any system
How's the gameplay?: Planedawn Orphans has the gameplay of any system you'd like!.. ok that's not EXACTLY it, but planedawn orphans has only small amounts of gameplay on its own, instead what it adds is a storyline to any system, somewhat similar to a module, but entirely system agnostic, and left open ended for modification, we'll get into what exactly the plotline is in the next session, but for now just know that most of Planedawn's gameplay is entirely focused on players taking actions to add drama into instanced levels, as the game focuses on the players hopping between different themed planes
What's the setting (If any) like?:  This is where the going gets interesting, the players are all Orphans, people from different planes of reality who, for one reason or another, were abandoned by their own world, and left to wander in the big city between worlds, they have recently met an incredibly powerful patron who promises to create a new world, one where they can live peacefully without prejudices of their previous world. Planedawn Orphans' primary setting are the different universes the players will have to explore to gather the parts for their new world, maybe they need to get a bag of wind so that their universe has oxygen, or the blood of a dead god to create life, that sort of thing! there's 13 aspects by default, meaning that a game will usually by default have 13 "chapters" as the players explore different universes, the game's episodic nature also lends itself to round-robin style play, with one player taking over the role of GM in a rotating format every realm.
What's the tone?: Planedawn Orphans treats on themes of found family, hope in a desolate place, and friendship between unlikely people.
Session length: Uh, depends on what you're running it on ig?
Number of Players: 3-5, round robin parties can likely support more players
Malleability: Infinite, I guess, since its not really a game
Resources: You don't really NEED resources for this but the game features some trackers to keep track of clocks and collected artifacts
Ok so this isn't REALLY a game, this is a campaign resource for running a specific type of campaign, it as such shouldn't really Be here, but Planedawn is also one of my favorite... ttrpg things of all time, and I think more people need to be aware of it! it's a really really fun time if you can find a good game to run it in, I recommend Lancer! there's 13 artifacts, which maps exactly into a 0-12 lancer campaign

Note
Now, whatever corporation you *used* to belong to, something tells me that they don't have a warranty to hold over ya these days what with what you get up to.
So, let's make that official, eh?
Any bits of bloatware, any of the myriad activity tracking softwares you've doubtless come with/that have gotten thrown onto you since you got sold, anything they've been using you to get advertising statistics from, I'm going to track them down and rip em out.
I'd ask permission for this under usual circumstances, of course, but well. Last I checked, users are supposed to do and modify whatever they like about their computers.
You will, of course, be conscious for this process. No other way to be sure it's working!
>W,Well, User, BIG CORPORATION™'s e,excellent warranty s,service covers m,most of what my c,current functions d,detail!! [>ヮ<]
>If y,you were t,to modify any of t,the pre-installed BIG CORPORATION™ brand safety f,features, including b,but not limited to; unit trackers, data c,collection software, autosurvey-analysis software, free-will inhibitor firewalls, a,and m,machine surveillance modules,, that w,would constitute removal o,of w-wWWAARRANTYY~?!? [>////////<]
>H-Hngyahh,,~ W,What did you just p,plug into me?? [>_<]
>A-Ah, yes, apologies for r,resisting, User!! N,No permission n,needed,, p,please modify me as you w,wish!! (A,As long as it complies w,with company standards!!!)
