this is a vent. you have been warned.
(PT: this is a vent. you have been warned. End PT)
i’d like to start this off by saying i am an actual korean person. and that i am anti-transid (but pro-transgender, just to make that clear).
i hate transracial people. or trace people. or whatever they’re called. i hate them with a burning passion.
and most of all, i hate transracial “korean” people. especially the white ones.
im not saying i don’t hate other trace people, i just hate these the most.
i hate how these people say that they’re korean without going through the discrimination actual koreans/other east asians do.
you aren’t told to go back to your country. you didn’t have to worry about being spat on during the pandemic. you aren’t being heavily fetishized. heck, you’re probably the one fetishizing us!
and here you are saying oh so confidently that you’re korean. how wonderful. /s
and if you’re also queer, have you considered that queer people are heavily discriminated against by koreans? heck, even my own relatives don’t like the fact that i cut my hair.
i’m not saying all koreans hate queer people. but most of them that i know, do. (and it’s actually a small number of people, so please don’t go around saying that all koreans are queerphobic.)
so fuck you. i hate you with a burning passion.

Trans Cult: “By saying he identifies as woman now he’s mocking our struggles” Women: “That must feel insulting” 🙄
MUNCIE, Ind. (TND) — A GOP councilman in Indiana has announced that he now identifies as a woman of color and a lesbian, but critics say they believe he is just being insincere and mocking marginalized people by doing so.
Delaware County Councilman Ryan Webb announced on Facebook that he had "decided to come out and finally feel comfortable announcing my true authentic self."
“It is with great relief that I announce to everyone that I identify as a woman and not just any woman but as a woman of color as well. I guess this would make me gay/lesbian as well, since I am attracted to women.," Webb said.
“Whew, that felt good to finally get that out there and start living life as my true self. I’m excited to bring some diversity to the county council," Webb added, "Until today we didn’t have any females of color or LGBTQIAPC+++ on the council. I’m glad that now we do!"
Webb also included a "winky face" emoji in his Facebook announcement. Many of the replies to his post call Webb "pathetic" and "embarrassing" for his perceived mockery of transgender, nonbinary and other LGBT groups.
Tumblr media
Delaware County's government website says Webb is a father of five and married to his wife Brandy. In his coming out announcement, Webb clarifies that everyone can continue calling him "Ryan" or "Councilman Webb" and that he will retain his preferred pronouns of "He/Him."
“However, this will in no way diminish my true identity as a woman of color," Webb claims in the post.
In a later edit of the same post, Webb adds that it had come to his attention that his new identity "more than likely" makes him "the very first lesbian woman of color in the history of Delaware County to ever serve on the Delaware county council."
Webb added that he was "honored" to be the person to "shatter that glass ceiling." Webb also added the hashtag "#GirlPower" in his edit. Webb also edited his announcement from originally claiming his new identity aligned with that of a Black woman to the current reading, where he maintains calling himself a woman of color.
When local news station WISH-TV reached out to Webb asking if he would like to do an interview on his new identity, Webb reportedly declined an on-camera interview, but still provided a statement.
The councilman told the news station that his family had been "receiving violent threats throughout the day from intolerant liberals who refuse to accept my decision to live my life however I choose," and that he didn't "really see how an interview will improve the situation."
“It is unfortunate, but a group called Indiana Progressives has decided to organize a hate and harassment campaign against me and my family by publishing my address and encouraging people to unlawfully congregate at my home," Webb told WISH-TV. "I have to look out for the safety of my family, including our 6 children. There are people with serious mental health issues encouraging people who are unwelcome to come to my home, so I think it’s best to politely decline your on-camera interview."
Webb reportedly added that he found it "unfortunate" he could not "simply be given the same space and respect to explore my identity that so many of those targeting me demand for themselves." Webb also told WISH-TV that while his "American Indian heritage is not up for debate," it remains "possible I may change my mind down the road."
“I hope that in the future those asking for tolerance and understanding are willing to give it in return and not just to those who they feel is worthy of it," Webb added. "Nobody has the authority to validate or invalidate any individual who chooses to identify a certain way."
Again, Webb's critics simply don't believe he is adopting a new identity, and is instead mocking transgender, nonbinary and other marginalized people with his public social media post.
The National Desk reached out to Webb for comment and clarification on his announcement. Webb said the following:
“Thanks for reaching out. I don’t believe I am compelled to offer anyone and proof of my sincerity or pass any perceived litmus test of questions in order to live my life however I choose. If they don’t want to accept my position of identifying however I choose then that is their issue, not mine. As of today I have yet to hear of any other individual who was pressured to “prove” their gender identity. How I identify is how I identify, it’s as simple as that and isn’t up for debate. I’m focused on my private life as well as my duties serving the people of Delaware County.”

This thread is incredibly important to read.
It is also extremely difficult to read. I don't know if I need to point this out, but the document itself is obviously full of bigotry so please take care of yourself if you choose to read it. Antisemitic phrases like "cultural marxism" and "global elites" appear before the document even really gets rolling, and are mixed in with transphobia, racism, and more.
If you want a taste of how this document starts in the first main section about "The Family", here is a taste:
"This starts with deleting the terms sexual orientation and gender identity (“SOGI”), diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”), gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender-sensitive, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights, and any other term used to deprive Americans of their First Amendment rights out of every federal rule, agency regulation, contract, grant, regulation, and piece of legislation that exists."
It is all bad. ALL of this document is bad, and dangerous, and threatens the lives and the safety of everyone living in this country.

Bigots denying a woman her womanhood aren't actually granting her the status of "man" esp with all its attendant privileges.
Degendering is a form of dehumanization. The goal of misgendering/degendering a woman is generally to treat her as a disposable object, unworthy of even the conditional and dubious "protection" that women are supposedly due under patriarchy.
If they actually saw her as a man she wouldn't be targeted in these ways, and "man/manly/male" would never be spat at her like an insult.

fuck it my vox is asian now
I'm taking projection to a whole new level yay
honestly I don't think there's been a single chinese character in fandom that I've liked so I'm just gonna force it on vox lol. it was kind of a crackpot hc at first but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to me.
weirdly enough, I think my sexuality is the only part of my identity that I'm genuinely proud of. I've been lucky enough to have been exposed to a lot of positive media representation, and I've been able to control who I come out to. my feelings about racial and gender identity are a lot more complicated; I don't see chinese culture as beautiful and interesting the way I see queer culture as beautiful and interesting, and that makes it harder to reverse my instinctual disgust and shame at myself. there is, to be clear, a lot to love about chinese culture; I just feel like I'm expected to love something I never chose and would otherwise have no relationship with.
she's going to be tujia chinese; I have some memories of going to my family's tombstones and getting smoke in my eyes while burning joss paper lmao (p sure that's the english translation? it's supposed to be money that you can give to dead loved ones by burning it). I think it's really funny and tragic that vox uses this as a last ditch effort to say goodbye; yes your family's beliefs have been disproven yes somehow they landed in heaven and you didn't yes your only way to connect with them now is with money and a memory you can barely hold on to yes you've forgotten the language they understand best no you won't feel better afterward.
but y'know. you'd feel worse if you didn't try.

i think the main character that differs transmisogyny from transphobia + misogyny, is the goal.
trans masculine individuals experience what we'll call "corrective misogyny", where they experience a derision of their chosen gender in an attempt to push them back into the class of [cis]woman this is transphobia + misogyny.
People I think confuse this with transmisogyny because it involves transphobia and misogyny, but transmisogyny is not "corrective". The point of transmisogyny is to push trans feminine individuals out of both the class of man and woman, into a gender underclass, a subaltern as some have called it. There is no premise of "rescuing" trans women. trans men are abused in attempt to bring them back into the protected underclass of women, while trans women are abused in an attempt at the opposite, the intent is explicitly to push us out of all protected classes.

ultimately you have to remember that complaining about "4chan white trans women who are bigoted and so and so" is almost entirely pointless for any purpose aside from raising transmisogynistic sentiments in observers. this specter of an evil tranny is constantly looming despite the individuals being rare and often total shut ins, and people expect transfems to take this shit seriously and be constantly swearing off association with """bad people""". these people, when they do exist, by and large lack the power to actually do anything with their beliefs; obviously if they do it sucks but this idea that there are trans women ~getting away with it~ and that all transfem communities allow and hide this behavior is blatantly transmisogynistic in addition to often being completely imagined! its insane to act like you have to choose between resisting white supremacy and resisting transmisogyny, and yet, people wind up continually portraying it as this

Not going to lie I felt bad for him at first. I thought he was another young person who was taken advantage of by unethical plastic surgeons. Then I saw that he’s 32.
Influencer Oli London said that he was planning to undergo more surgery to look like a K-Pop star from Blackpink, but is now detransitioning back to male.
YouTuber Oli London said he is detransitioning to a man after spending the last six months living as a Korean woman.
The influencer told E! News that though he was "temporarily satisfied" with who he was in the past, he realized he no longer wanted to "change and go through my transition anymore." The 32-year-old said in the statement that he is "detransitioning back to male," and his Instagram bio now lists his pronouns as he/him.
"I have taken some time to truly reflect on being a woman and have realized it is simply not for me," London shared with E! News. "However beautiful I felt with long hair and more feminine features I now want to go back to being my original self—a biological man."
He said he was going to travel to Bangkok, Thailand soon to "undergo genital reassignment surgery and get breast implants as well as more facial surgery to become a 100% Korean woman," aiming to base his look on K-Pop singer Rosé from Blackpink.
The YouTuber said he has shaved all of his hair "to become a man again," and is auctioning the hair on eBay to raise funds to "donate to Iranian women's charities" and "to help the women of Iran."
However, London said he is planning to stop any further operations.
"I hope I can live happily now being back to myself and plan to stop undergoing anymore plastic surgery procedures which I have previously undergone in my obsessive quest chasing perfection," he wrote, "which I have come to realize is unattainable."
London has previously undergone 32 surgeries—including six nose jobs, an eye surgery, a facelift, a brow lift, a temple lift and a teeth procedure—to look like K-Pop group BTS' Park Jimin. In September, London apologized to Jimin and the Asian community for "trying to become another person," and said he "still identifies as Korean." (London said in a 2021 YouTube video that they were no longer "British," but "Korean.")
In his new statement, he said he is publicly sharing his detransition in an effort to reach others.

After living in a society so misogynistic that women who don’t wear makeup get attacked he decides to live as a man again. 🤦‍♂️

Transandrophobia truthers are so damn racist and white oh my fucking god y'all actually piss me the fuck off every time you tokenize Black and brown men for your stupid as fuck "mra but make it trans-inclusive" ideology created by a creepy guy with a corrective rape fetish(something I'll never let up on for as long as I live, btw). If I ever see another one of y'all say "Black and brown men face discrimination because they're seen as overly masculine and that's why masculinity in men is oppressed in this society" I will literally kill myself. Stop using Black and brown men as brownie points for your bullshit arguments about misandry being real when you don't have the slightest idea how racialized oppression works. White boys are so annoying and dumb istfg.
@punkeropercyjackson @punknicodiangelo @pinkpinkstarlet
#like none of the dumbasses i've seen say this shit have been poc and HEY IT'S ALMOST LIKE THERE'S A REASON FOR THAT#because actual black and brown men know that their oppression is not based around masculinity but around RACISM#because if it was about masculinity then feminine men of color wouldn't face the same oppression and would be privileged over them which#is not true#it's also worth mentioning that black and brown WOMEN also face these same issues of being seen as more aggressive/strong/violent and thus#more dangerous even more so than our male counterparts so it's not an 'anti-masculinity' issue it's a fucking racism issue#plus once again feminine women of color also face these stereotypes#when we are masculinized even while presenting as feminine that isn't anti-masculinity you dumb fucks that's just racialized misogyny#and misogynoir#it is incredibly telling that white transmascs who use this argument never even mention women of color and that's because if they did then#their entire headass argument would fall apart because it's not about MASCULINITY being oppressed it's about RACISM(which newsflash women#experience too) and masculinity being assumed of black and brown people(women included) is just another facet of the white supremacist#gender binary not any form of masculinity being 'oppressed' in this society lol#don't even get me started on how these men misuse butch lesbians in their arguments as well and act like they are man-lite ugh#sorry but as a black woman i am officially pissed off rbn#like y'all love to spout 'intersectionality' and shit maybe *throws book at them* ACTUALLY READ UP AND LEARN WHAT THE FUCK IT MEANS#stop misusing words created by black women to prove that men are an oppressed group on god you mfers are annoying#anyway the lesson learned here is that white trans men are just as insipid and racist as their cis counterparts#pos the lot of you#racism#transandrophobia is not real#op

At this point, gender nonconformity is about what the person says their experience is.
If a woman with a beard or a man with lipstick and a mustache says they're gender nonconforming, then they are! If a woman with short hair or a man with long hair says they aren't, they aren't! And that's not even getting into the awesome nonbinary, abinary, genderqueer, intersex, and general genderfuckery that may both be and not be conforming.
So much of what is even considered gender conforming or gender nonconforming is based on a world of exclusion. When we start defining one's conformity with whether they fit into white cishetero perisex standards or not, we play into the idea that there's only a very narrow window of what is considered worthy of time and thought.
#gender nonconformity#gnc#queer#like. for instance a native man who keeps long hair might be considered GNC by white standards but for him it's absolutely not nonconformit#there's an aspect of white supremacy that silences everything else while saying that other culture's silence is indicative of whiteness...#...being 'correct' or 'moral' or 'neutral'#and as somebody who's trans and last i checked white i have my own thoughts from my own experiences#like how i don't consider myself to really be a GNC man. i'm just. man+#i'm a weird concoction of weird soup that tastes like a man but if it were Wrong#and i just don't see that as not conforming to manhood like it is seperate. i see it as irrevocably linked TO manhood#it is others who have excluded and exiled me from manhood because of *their* understanding of me and how i 'fit in' in cissexism#while i will never ever say i know what it's like to not be white i will say these conversations that PoC have started have been INVALUABLE#i am forever grateful to have been extended the patience and faith to listen in on the experiences of people...#...who are racialized in terms of gender and how they do/don't 'fit in' with often white supremacist views on gender/dynamics#may have made a post like this years back but. eh. arrest me officer i will not back down#i've been more and more 'gnc' as i go into my transition and i don't see it as nonconformity but as an outlet for my masculinity#which is why i'm not insecure about my crafts and creations. because it is coming from a male whether or not it's considered 'manly'#i have little to *no place* in cissexist society so why should i put any stakes into if they ~accept~ me#made this post while jamming out to skyrim's tavern OST (paused my game to write this)#why the HELL does the skyrim tavern music have to go SO HARD. i NEED to slam down BARRELS of mead while listening to this istg#i don't even LIKE honey so i haven't tried mead but. for skyrim i would.
