Quick reminder that you don't need a solid sexuality! You can just be in love! Or not be in love! Or have a gender! Labels are a choice, not a requirement. All you need to do is be someone you like being! If labels help with that, great! But they are not required. You don't owe it to anyone, so don't feel pressured to choose labels if they aren't your thing!

some queer people will never end up with a perfect label that describes them 100% and that's okay. sometimes you just go "i dunno i'm just queer" or "i'm a dyke who's a fag who's a drag queen" or "i'm just some guy" and that's okay. you don't always need a label or easy way to describe it if you can't. you can blaze your own trail

when/how did you realize you were nb? are you out to anyone?
I realised I was non-binary in late 2022. To be honest, it took me a long time to come to terms with it, mainly because of self-doubt and I was just very confused and didn't want to label myself as anything.
But during that time, I saw a lot of posts about being nb, where people were talking about their experiences and things they that helped them realise they were nb and I related to a lot of it (though if you are questioning your gender identity, and don't feel like you 'fit in' with the experiences of other people or you experience different things, know you are still valid and everyone's gender identity and journey is unique and special and everyone goes about it differently and thinks differently. No one can tell you who you are).
I mainly realised that I was nb because I felt uncomfortable with the general society's rigid view of stereotypical male and female roles in life and I didn't like how loads of people perceived me. I also just felt better being unlabeled and when expressing myself in a more androgynous or masculine way.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure that I am non-binary, I just prefer to think of myself as existing in whatever state that I am in now. For me, it's sort of like the lines are all blurred and I'm just weaving in and out of them, if that makes sense.
To answer your second question, I'm not out to many people, only a select few. Tumblr is the only social media where I have felt comfortable enough to have my pronouns displayed and only a few people irl know that I am non-binary. Some that I've told forget and don't really refer to me as such but I don't really correct them, and I'm not out to my family as of yet either.

the pipeline of using like 20000 different labels because none of them really fit exactly how you view your identity then just going “fuhk it” and scrapping all of them and being (mostly) unlabeled is real

Unlabledplex
[PT: Unlabledplex]
Unlabledplex, a plurplex term that means that a Unlabled identity/being Unlabled effects the entire system (or subsystem, layer, etc). It doesn’t have to be in the same way, it just has to affect everyone.

I blame Billy Lenz from Black Christmas for making me fall for pathetic men. I blame Grace from Dumplin for being my awakening. I blame Marie-Joseph Sanson from Innocent and Innocent Rouge for falling in love with women that can possibly kill me. I blame those old 2017 genderbend artworks to leading me here today.

A note on being unlabeled:
Gender is confusing, the reason I use unlabeled as a gender identity is because I can't find a label that fits with who I am.
I'm a boy but in a gender neutral sense, I'm not a man or a guy. I feel a connection to masculinity and femininity but I'm in no way a girl or a woman.
I'm strictly a they/them but not just strictly nonbinary but being an enby and a boy aren't strictly my identity either despite being a part of my gender identity.
It's like a mix of different colours of paint, like how green is blue and yellow but it's also its own unique colour.
Being unlabeled allows me to not feel pressured to pin my identity down, I don't feel pressured to find a box, it's freeing and completely open. I may find a label in future, who knows, but for now I'm very happy with being an unlabeled boi. (𖦹^ᴗ^).*𔓕

hello tumblr this is my formal post to officially announce that after two years worth of confusion and contemplation i am comfortable with any pronouns, more specifically she/they but any will do, i couldn’t care less!
i’m lucky to be apart of one of the most accepting, non-toxic communities out there (especially on the internet) so rationally i know this will reach the right people, but it’s nerve racking nevertheless.
i really struggle opening up about things like this, especially with parents that accept everyone until it’s their own child, but i cant say i identify as a girl. that being said, she/her pronouns are fine, as are any others, im just me.
thank you for reading this far, you are all amazingly valid and always welcome on my page. dms are open to anyone.
love you 💗
