What Is The Purpose Of Uninterruptible Power Supply?

In response to sudden power outages in life, people may start to consider using UPS at home. UPS is backup system that provides power in the event of utility failure. It is a constant voltage, constant frequency uninterruptible power supply with inverter as the main component. The main role of the UPS is twofold. On the one hand, it is to provide a reliable power supply to prevent sudden utility power outages from affecting the normal operation of the equipment and causing damage to the equipment. When the utility input is normal, the UPS will be the utility voltage regulator to supply the load, and it also charges the battery; when the utility power is interrupted, the UPS supplies AC power to the load through inverter conversion to maintain normal operation and protect the load from damage. On the other hand, it is to provide high quality power supply and enhance the quality of power supply by eliminating contamination such as surges, instantaneous high or low voltage and frequency shifts in the mains. Hey what’s that tumblr-utils to back up your blogs? Is it the extract one in settings?

tumblr-utils, specifically this fork called tumblr-backup (forgot it uses a different name from the main branch... lol... lmao...), is a python script that allows you to back up your blog locally in a way that displays the posts in a readable format.

It allows for a lot of customization, such as including a tag index alongside the dates, incremental backup (so if you back up 1000 posts the first time and then make 100 new posts, you don't have to back up 1100 posts the second time! just the 100 new ones get added on to the old backup!), continuing a failed backup where it left off, saving audio and video backups, only backing up your own posts and excluding all reblogs, etc. there's a full list of options on the github. and, if you're into css, there is a file you can change to set up a proper css layout. i haven't touched it yet, obviously, but if black-on-white text isn't appealing, there's a way to change that!

and it being a python script really isn't as scary as it sounds to anyone who's never used it before -- I hadn't touched it until i found this tool! it's pretty simple to set up. it just might take a bit of figuring out your first time around, and then you can save a text doc of your backup options to just copy-paste into the command line later (i blacked out my blog urls but you can get the gist)!

^ i just copy these into command line one at a time every couple of months, let each one do its thing, and then i'm all set for a while! no more having to download gb after gb of data every time i update my blog, no more having to back up reblogs if all i want are my own posts, no more unorganized mess of a backup! yippee!

thinking about different ways you can be nocturnal in relation to bats ya know, like you could go to sleep at dawn and wake up mid afternoon or go to be during the afternoon and wake up at dusk etc etc

so ive started classifying bats into morning bats or afternoon bats lmao:

i'm shaking as i type, i literally have tears in my eyes. just background info, i have prescription glasses, and the powers in my right and left eye are different and they both have both cylindrical and spherical lenses. and most of the prescription glasses that i have seen, have either cylindrical or spherical lenses(spherical being more common)

so i hope you understand my surprise.

i went to a local cafe with my friends today yk to have some fun after exams and to enjoy the holidays. we order some snacks and my friend A suggests that we like take some pictures before the food arrives. now, we take some pictures, I vividly remember wearing my glasses for some of the pictures. after we looked at the pictures we found out that my glasses were reflecting the light making me look somewhat like yk that anime light up glass person(i'm sorry idk the name for those)

So after we laughed about it, I TOOK OFF MY GLASSES AND PUT IT ON THE TABLE RIGHT NEXT TO MY WATER (MY FRIENDS SAW ME DOING THIS ISTG), and we took some more pictures we came back to our table and i took my glasses and put them on, as i'm putting them on i slide the frame behind my ear like every normal person, so imagine my surprise when i feel the frame touching something. and i like check my hair incase something was stuck on it. and. AND I FIND MY EXACT SMAE GLASSES RESTING ON TOP OF MY HEAD. omg im so scared that i'm about to cry. my friends and i were so scared that we canceled our order and left(that's how ik that they didn't prank me cuz there's no way we would have paid money and not eaten the food)

like we checked all the pictures and sure enough, the glasses were on my head (ISTG EVERY PERSON WITHOUT GLASSES CAN'T RELATE BUT I PROMISE I NEVER NEVER PUT MY GLASSES ON TOP OF MY HEAD, ITS JUST NOT AN HABIT)

and now i have two absolutely identical spectacles, with the same frame and the same power, i am so scared like idk what to do

is this my experience about the glitch in the matrix

spoiler free PSA for the combat side of veilguard: I think the game severely undercommunicates the importance of the 'attack my target' mechanic (i.e. directing the companions to attack specific targets when you bring up the ability wheel)! this not only focuses their damage output, it actually sets up a bunch of gameplay effects and synergies and makes the companions a lot more effective. so if you're struggling or trying to get the most out of the team, that's a good place to start! the different 'attack my target' effects (which upgrade as the game go on and you expand with the caretaker) can be read on the companions' equipment, so you can find something that best fits your playstyle :) I only learned about this in some random youtube video but it's been serving me well, so I now relay this knowledge to anyone who might appreciate it

(also there are skills around the skill tree that can change or improve how basic attacks and attack chains/combos work! you might find that makes for a more fluid gamplay experience)

decide to try my first ever homebrew project and jailbreak a 3ds I had

take card out, copy files, run a python script (cause I'm on linux), repeat until it's done~~

I just wanted to see how it worked but in all seriousness I should've done the one all my stuff was on so I could dump all the digital games I have on there

cause then I could try playing SMT IV again on the steam deck~~~

might try that~~~ but the bad thing about the "new" 3DS as opposed to the other one is that you need to unscrew the back plate to get to the SD card.

and if I lost all the digital games cause something went wrong, I'd be out of luck maybe and not be able to get those games back...

could be wrong tho~~ idk

happy I did a thing~~~ so I can dump my DS games and emulate on steam deck~~~ or at least the physical ones anyway~~~

want to continue w the other one but also need sleep probably~~~ lol

Today has been a bit of a day tbh but as well as buying my mum a phone I'm doing a sort of trial with an s23 ultra to see if I like it.

I asked the customer support about their return policy and just not liking the phone is a valid reason to return it so I have 2 weeks to see what I think. They'll just accept the return with no fuss for a full cash refund. No store credit or any such nonsense xD

My first thoughs so far is that phones haven't really changed much since my last phone the note 10 plus. Like it's a little faster, the battery is a bit bigger, and the camera is better but that kinda seems to be it at this point.

The s-pen is supposed to be more responsive but I pretty much exclusively use my phones pen to play picross xD If I ever try to get into art again I'd use my s7 tablet just for the bigger screen so that's not too important to me.

Today's show was so overhwelmingly chaotic that I had to use my inhaler TWICE (I've been trying to only use it once a day to see how my lungs are doing). But as chaotic and exhausting as it was... Goddamn I'm good at what I do.

While they were diagnosing a problem and working through Plan A, I set up Plan F by myself while 6 people stood around watching Plan A-C fail.

And when they yelled that the show would have to be canceled this week, I had Plan F up, set, running, and it was what I told them to do from the start.

Why is there only Plan A-C, then suddenly Plan F?

My Plan was always Plan F, for "Fuck it, we bail".
