The timing of the scene in front of you was impeccable.  The grenade exploded at precisely the right moment.  The pressurization of the building coupled with the spark made an incredibly loud boom as the explosion caused the building to collapse in fire and brimstone.  Debris fell around you as you flew back from the sheer force of the concussion.  You hit the concrete with a thud, coughing and sputtering as the wind was knocked out of you.  Every inch of your body hurt: a high-pitched screech echoed through your ears and completely dulled your sense of time and space.  Groaning, you tried to roll over and push yourself up, but before you realized what was happening you felt yourself once again being whipped into the air.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?” an anguished voice cried out from the dust and ashes.  “WHAT DID YOU DO?”
Wanda wrapped her magical tendrils around you, throwing you up in the air as she flew towards you.  While dust and ashes clouded your vision, her scarlet eyes were undeniably clear.  There was no denying Wanda’s anger.  She had just seen her brother blow up in front of her.
“Wanda, put Y/N down!” Steve shouted as he sprinted toward the burning debris.
“HE KILLED PIETRO, I’LL KILL HIM!” she screamed, her voice raw with anger.  Everything suddenly became unbearably hot as the world closed in around you.  Yet just as soon as you realized you were levitating in midair you found yourself abruptly crashing back to earth.  The shock of hitting the ground knocked the wind from your lungs and you fell on your knees, coughing and sputtering for breath.
“That’s enough, Maximoff,” Tony scolded as he lowered his sonic wrist propulser.  “I promised May I’d get him back to New York in one piece.”
Wanda heaved heavily on her hands and knees, her gasps interspersed with sobs.  Natasha sprinted over to her.  She wrapped her arms around her as Wanda sobbed into her shoulder.  Steve and Bucky worked their way toward the burning building while Rhodey and Sam flew overhead searching for any signs of Pietro.
Clouds of dust settled over the chaotic war scene.  Your entire body shook as a wave of guilt washed over you.  The last thing you remember seeing before everything went black was Pietro opening the door to the building.  The next memory was a blinding flash of light, the sound of a thousand cannons, and the putrid stench of sulfur.
Oh no, you thought as everything started to add up.  Fear coursed through your veins, the thought of having killed Pietro tying your stomach into knots.
“When I said you could shoot a few webs at the bad guys, this isn’t what I meant,” Tony said as he trudged toward you over the field of debris.  “What happened?”
“I…I dunno.  You guys went after the six that I saw, but then Karen spotted three more and I didn’t think you could get to them in time so I went after them myself.  I thought I got them but…” you trailed off, staring at the burning building in front of you.  “Where’s Pietro?”
“They’re looking for him right now,” Tony explained.  “Redwing’s scanning the area.”
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled.  There was no way that a simple apology would be enough to make up for the mess you made.
“I know, kid.  I know,” Tony sighed.
Before you could muster another apology, Steve jogged over toward you and Tony.  He was sweaty and dirty, his crisp blue and white uniform covered in blood and dust.  A sense of trepidation hung in the air as he approached Tony, who subtly flinched at Steve’s appearance.
“Sam found him.  Call Cho.  Let her know we’re on our way back.  We need her ready and waiting when we get back.”  He turned to look at Tony, casting an icy glare in his direction.  “I told you the kid wasn’t ready,” he replied coolly.   Steve was right: Tony threw you into a completely unpredictable situation and expected that you’d know how to react.
“Try not to be too hard on yourself.  We got Speedy.  That’s all that matters,” Tony told you as Steve walked away.
“I put the whole mission at risk,” you answered.  It took every ounce of strength left to push yourself up from the ground.  It felt like you’d been run over by a truck and then some.
“Y/N-”
“Steve was right.  You should’ve left me back at the compound.”
******
“What do you mean you quit?!” Tony looked at you with an expression of shocked contempt as you dropped your suit on his desk.
“I quit,” you reaffirmed.  “It’s my fault that Pietro got blown up-”
“He’s got all his limbs.  Dr. Cho’s printing the sheets of tissue for the burns. He’ll be back up in speedster shape in no time.”
“That’s not the point, Mr. Stark.  The point is my mistake nearly got someone killed.  I don’t know if I could live with it if he died, and if it happens again…I don’t think I could spend the rest of my life with that weighing on me, you know?”
Tony stared at you as his mind moved at a thousand miles a minute trying to process what exactly you were saying.  The gears in his mind cranked and squeaked while he struggled to figure out the right thing to say.  He stroked his goatee, twisting around in his overstuffed chair while he thought of what to say.  Finally he stopped, tapping his fingers on the armrest as he cocked an eyebrow.
“Don’t you want to be a doctor?”
“What?”
“That’s what you told me the first time we met.  You want to go to med school, don’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“Doctors lose patients all the time.  You gonna quit the first time one of your patients bites the dust?”
“That’s different.”
“How so?”  Tony stumped you with that question.
“Well-”
“You do everything by the book, a perfect surgery, and for whatever reason your patient doesn’t wake up.  You just gonna quit then, kid?”
“But that’s different.  That’s not my fault if a patient doesn’t wake up.  Pietro getting blown up is my fault.  I don’t want anyone’s blood on my hands.”
“Loss is a part of the job, Y/N.  Hell, it’s part of life.  All of us here accept that.”
“Being a doctor and being a superhero are two different things in my mind.  I can’t…look Mr. Stark, I appreciate the opportunity to come and train with you and the rest of the team.  It’s been a really eye opening experience, but this isn’t for me.  I’m sorry about what happened to Pietro.  I really am.  I know Wanda’s, umm, I know she’s pretty angry with me and I know she has every right to be.  I mean I almost killed her brother.  I don’t want to mess up the team’s dynamic any more than I already have.  I’d rather go out on top, you know?  No one else can get hurt if I leave.  I’m sorry, but I’m not going to change my mind on this one.”
The tension between you and Tony was palpable.  Anxiety twisted your stomach in knots as you felt him bearing into your soul.
“Fine,” he finally relented, pushing his chair away from the desk.  “You’re a big boy.  I can’t make you stay if you don’t want to.  So I’ll just take that then if you’re sure…you are sure you don’t want to do this, right?”  You nodded emphatically as Tony sighed and rubbed his temples.  “Did you call May yet?”
“I was gonna shoot her a text-”
“I’ll call her.  Never pass up an opportunity to talk to that woman,” he chuckled.  “Look, I get that everything’s a bit raw now, but the offer still stands.  If you ever feel the urge to swing around in spandex again just give me a call.  Or if you need an internship or a reference for med school or something.  I’ve got some pull with the Harvard-MIT Program.”
“Thank you, Mr. Stark.  Really.  It means a lot to me.”  He shook your sweaty hand firmly.
“You pack your things already?”
“Not yet.”
“Alright, you go pack, I’ll call May.  Should be good to go in a couple of hours.”  You turned around, reaching for the doorknob.  “Shut the door on your way out, will you?” Tony hollered from behind the desk.
******
May was only a half hour or so out from the compound by the time you finished packing up the last of your stuff.  You would’ve been done sooner had Vision not phased through the wall to confirm the validity of the rumor that you were indeed leaving the Avengers.  He proceeded to talk your ear off, philosophizing something fierce about the ideas of moral duty and responsibility.  It wasn’t quite clear what the point of the conversation was.  Still, you thanked him for his advice and awkwardly stared as he once again phased out of the room.
You took one final sweep around the room for anything you might’ve left behind.  Once you were sure it was clear, you made your way through the maze of hallways and staircases to, not the main entrance, but the infirmary.  Pietro was still undergoing daily treatment at the hands of Dr. Cho.  While it looked like he would pull through, it was going to be a long road to recovery.  He suffered from burns all over his body, broken bones, and a concussion amongst a myriad of injuries.  The thought of leaving without apologizing to him made you sick to your stomach.  So instead of waiting for May in the bitter January wind, you decided that your time would be better spent trying to make amends for your mistake.
The infirmary was a dark, cold space.  It didn’t promote any sense of healing or comfort in your opinion.  The hallways were dark, the furniture was dark, the Stark Tech that filled every room was buzzing with excitement but was also dark.  This was definitely not the way to run any sort of hospital wing.
Your stomach tied itself in knots the closer you got to Pietro’s room.  There was no way to predict how he’d react to seeing you for the first time since the moment before he got blown up.  For a split second you thought about turning around.  Maybe this wasn’t the best idea.  Yet deep down you now you’d never get a good night’s sleep unless you apologized for your major goof up.
Taking a deep breath, you exhaled slowly as you pushed the door open.  You were relieved to see Pietro was conscious, albeit hooked up to almost a dozen machines.  But your heart stopped the second you saw Wanda sitting next to her brother’s bedside.
“Get.  Out.” Wanda snarled, her eyes burning bright red.  You gulped hard, nearly tripping over your feet as you stumbled out of the doorway into the hallway.  There was no way in hell you wanted to be at the receiving end of another one of her outbursts.  “Don’t you dare-”
“It’s okay,” Pietro gasped.  His voice was ragged and raw from the smoke and ash he inhaled after the building collapsed.  The harshness to Pietro’s voice made you squirm.
“Pietro-”
“It’s okay,” he repeated.  “He can come in.”
Wanda’s eyes slowly melted back to their original shade of green although you could’ve sworn there was still a glimmer of fire smoldering somewhere in there.  You slowly slunk into the room, heartbeat pounding in your throat as you inched toward Pietro’s bed.
“Hey,” you gulped.
“Hey,” Pietro said, his lips curling into a weak grin as he tugged on his sister’s sleeve.  “Can you give us a minute?”  Wanda started to protest, but he shut her down with another tug on her sleeve.  “Please?”
“Are you sure?”
“I’ll be fine.  Not like he can blow me up again, right?” he chuckled.  Wanda shot daggers into your soul with her glare.  She stormed out of the room but not without stopping inches away from your body.
“Hurt him again and you’re going home in pieces, understand?” she gritted through clenched teeth.  You nodded overenthusiastically.  The witch pushed by as she stormed out the door.
“Sorry about her.  She’s a little protective,” Pietro apologized weakly.
“I can see that,” you mumbled.  You were still staring through the doorway.
“I can’t blame her.  It’s been just us for a long time.”
“She mentioned that”
“Our parents were killed when we were ten.  One of Tony Stark’s bombs crashed through our apartment building.  We were trapped for two days, waiting for it to go off.  It didn’t, but after that we shuffled through orphanages until we ran away to join HYDRA.”
“Peter never mentioned that.”
“Ehh.” Pietro shrugged.  “My sister doesn’t like to talk about it much.  HYDRA wasn’t kind to either of us.  I’m not one for revenge, but she took it the second she could.”
“So the whole thing about her puppeteering corpses-”
“Not one of her better moments,” he chuckled weakly.  “Wanda’s not a bad person, she’s just a protector.”
You stared down at your shoes, feeling immensely guilty for everything that happened.  Your ineptitude nearly cost Wanda everything she had left.
“I’m sorry about all of this,” you apologized.
“Why are you sorry?” Pietro cocked an eyebrow.  “This isn’t your fault.”
“Yeah it is.  I should’ve seen he had the grenade on his belt.”
“If you hadn’t webbed him to the building a lot more of us would’ve been hurt.  And there’s a chance they would’ve gotten away with the virus if it wasn’t for you.”
“But you got blown up!  That’s on me!”
“Occupational hazard.  Could’ve happened whether or not you were with us or still on the Quinjet.”
Nothing you could say would change Pietro’s mind, or Tony’s for that matter: this was a mistake.  It wasn’t your fault.  That was easy enough for them to say: they weren’t the ones who dealt with the gnawing guilt.
“I told Mr. Stark that I’m.  May’s on her way here now.”
“Oh.”  Pietro’s face dropped as soon as he realized what you were saying.  “That’s sad.  I like you.  You’re a good guy.”
“I just don’t want to be a superhero.  Besides, the semester’s starting soon and I’ve gotta get back to the city.”
Pietro leaned back on his pillow.  He looked out the window, not saying anything as he let out a raspy sigh.  The room was uncomfortably quiet, save the beeping of all the various machines keeping Pietro stable.  Figuring that was the end of the conversation, you awkwardly turned around intent on leaving when a quiet voice spoke into the emptiness:
“She doesn’t hate you.  She’s mad that she couldn’t stop it herself.”
******
“Are we going to talk about it?” May finally asked about an hour into your drive back into Manhattan.
“I’m not really sure what there is to say, May.  I think it’s pretty self-explanatory.”
“Woah woah woah.  I’m not mad at you.  If you don’t want to do this then you don’t have to, but I’d like to know just what the hell happened on that mission.”
“Pietro went boom.  Well, the building went boom with Pietro in it.”
“And it’s your fault because-?”
“I didn’t see that the bad guy had a grenade strapped to his belt.”
“And he set it off?”
“Yeah.”
“I don’t see how that’s your fault.”
“I should’ve noticed that!  I didn’t and Pietro nearly died!”
“But he didn’t, Y/N.  Tony’s right, this isn’t your fault at all!”
“Look, May, I just want to go back to school.  I don’t want to be Spider-Man or whatever.  I just want to be normal.”
You were completely exasperated with everyone’s insistence that Pietro’s blood wasn’t on your hands.  It was aggravating, irritating to say the least.  Why was everyone so insistent that YOU become the next Spider-Man?  Weird enhanced powers were one thing…you could manage those.  But all the other stuff?  Absolutely not.  All you wanted was a quiet, normal, peaceful life.
May didn’t respond.  She inhaled sharply, nodded, and slowly turned the radio back up.  You rested your head against the window, watching as the luscious green valley slowly morphed into the familiar hustle and bustle of Manhattan.  You were finally going home.

The Spiders Sister - Chapter 2
Summary: Reader is still a little sick and staying hidden while Wanda and Natasha look after her.
TW: Sickness, asthma
Words: 2.8K
A/n: Part two!!!
It must have been a couple of hours sleep before you woke up again. Somebody was knocking on the door and for a second you panicked, still feeling awful and sleepy your mind was working though a dense fog to catch up.
When you finally managed to recall the events of earlier that morning, you felt a slight bit of relief.
“Come in.” You called, your throat scratchy and sounding like sandpaper on glass.
The door handle turned, and you prayed the girls had kept their promise to not tell the others yet.
Wanda’s face peered into the room, and she glanced around until her eyes fell on you, still holed up in bed under the sheets.
“How are you feeling?” Wanda asked as she came inside, holding a tray. She gently closed the door after her and came to sit on the bed beside you.
“A bit better than I was. But not great.” You mumbled.
“Well, if you don’t mind, Nat and I are happy to look after you until you get better. Peter’s been telling us stories about you, now he can.” She begun and you groaned. Drawing a smile from her. “All good don’t worry. He’s a good kid and it sounds like you’re a good sister. And spider-man at that.” She said with a wink, and you buried your flaming face in your hands.
Wanda carefully pried your fingers away from your blazing cheeks and smiled softly at you.
“Now, I made you some soup and Nat’s gone to steal some of Peter’s enhanced-super cold and flu medicine out of Bruce’s lab for you.” Wanda said as she set the tray down on your bedside table. “Put this under your tongue.” She said handing you a thermometer.
“I’m fine.” You said not taking from her. She raised an eyebrow in challenge. “Really. Im all good now.” You argued and she still wasn’t having it.
Using her magic wanda floated the thermometer up to hover in front of your lips. You gave her a look and opened your mouth.
She beamed at you and the thermometer positioned itself under your tongue.
“Now what?” You mumbled from behind the stick.
“Now we wait for that to beep and go from there.” Wanda said catching the drooping thermometer with her finger before it could fall from your mouth while you spoke.
After a few more seconds of Wanda fussing with the things on the tray and messaging who you assumed must be Nat on her phone, the stick beeped.
Before you had a chance to remove it yourself wanda had stolen from your lips and was closely observing the numbers on the small screen.
She hummed a low note and sent another text to Nat before placing it down on the bedside table.
“Well?” You asked trying not to pout about feeling left out.
“102.3 still a fever.” Wanda said before standing and heading to the door to open it.
Natasha stepped into the room with three bottles of medicine in her arms.
She came over and took a seat next to wanda who had sat back on the bed like before.
She handed the bottles to wanda who looked at the labels and began taking out pills from two of the bottles and measuring out a red liquid from the other.
“Oh, hell nah.” You said. “I am not drinking that.”
Nat raised an eyebrow. “You will be.” She said and you frowned, slouching down and glaring at her which only seemed to make her smirk grow larger.
Wanda finished measuring it all out and handed you the two pills and a glass of water.
“What is this?” You asked.
“Fever reducers and cold and flu meds that were made for peter.” Wanda said and you nodded and took them.
Then wanda held out the small medicine cup of red liquid.
“Nope.” You said pursing your lips. “Not happening.”
“If you don’t take this, I’ll force feed you it myself.” Wanda said and you glared at each other for a second before swiping it out of her hands.
“Fine.” You grumbled and wanda beamed at you.
“Good girl.” She said and you defiantly did not feel your stomach flip at those two words.
However, Natasha seemed to smirk to herself about something while wanda busied herself with the soup.
You took the medicine like a shot and scrunched up your nose after.
“Why is it sweet?” You asked smacking your lips together.
“Peter’s a baby when it comes to gross cough syrup, so he requested it taste like cotton candy.” Nat said and you rolled your eyes.
“Of course he did.” You mumbled.
Before you could find further reason to complain Nat plucked the cup from your hands and wanda set the tray on your lap, fussing over the pillows behind you that were keeping you propped up against the bedhead.
You eyed the tray closely. There was a bowl of thick orange soup with a blob of white sprinkle with small green herbs. Along with a soup spoon and napkin.
“Um? What kind of soup is it?” You asked.
“Pumpkin soup with sour cream and chives.” Wanda said. “It’s an old family recipe from my childhood.” She said seeming to lose her smile for a fraction of a second before it came back.
You nodded. “Thank you. You really didn’t have to go to all the effort wanda.”
She just shrugged. “Its kind of what we do around here.”
“Look after each other, she means.” Nat clarified and you nodded and brought a spoonful of soup to your lips.
It was warm and tasted amazing. You hummed in delight at the taste and Wanda beamed.
“This is really good.” You said taking another spoonful of it.
“I’m glad you like it.” Wanda said.
“So, where’s peter?” You asked, striking up conversation.
“May took him home. Nat managed to convince her that you were fine staying here with us. We are happy to have you and if you like that could be a more permanent offer depending on what the team has to say.” Wanda said and you choked on your soup.
Coughing, you felt Natasha’s strong hands pound your back to help you breathe.
Once the fit had subsided you blinked at wanda who was looking at you with concern in her eyes. You waved her off.
“I’m all good.” You begun but she handed you the glass of water anyways.
“Small sips.” She instructed and you nodded and drank some of it slowly.
“Sorry.” You apologised. “I just wasn’t expecting that.” You mumbled, cheeks warm.
“No need to apologise I probably should have waited until you weren’t eating.” Wanda said and you laughed.
“But in all seriousness… you guys want me here? Like … on the team?” You asked and Nat looked at Wanda before nodding.
“We would need to have Fury sign off. Steve and Tony will have to agree as well, but theres not denying you would be a valuable asset to the team.” Nat begun. “I’m planning on holding a meeting with the team when your up to it. But until then I want you to rest and get better. It’s important you put your best foot forward when starting off with the team.” Nat said and Wanda nodded.
“You’ll do great. The team will love you.” Wanda agreed, throwing in her own two cents to Nat’s speech.
“So, Nat how did you manage to sneak in and out of Bruce’s lab and find peters meds?” Wanda asked with the grin that Natasha returned.
As Nat launched into her story, which included a cabinet of medicine labelled spider-baby, a banner-stark debate over what atom is the best and lastly her spy skills.
By now everyone had gotten themselves comfortable on the bed. You were sat against the headboard with wanda on your left and Natasha on your right.
The king bed managed to squeeze all of you in and left ample room for more space.
As Nat continued her story you found yourself listing to one side. Your eyes drifting half shut as the exhaustion rolled over you.
Blinking harshly, you tried to stay awake until a soft hand guided your head to something soft that smelt like strawberries and vanilla.
You decided to forgo fighting sleep for any longer and left yourself drift off.
Natasha grinned at Wanda who was stroking your hair as you laid on her shoulder asleep.
It was an adorable sight and Nat may or may not have taken a photo of all three of you together with you asleep in the middle.
After the two listened to your slightly wheezy breathing and elected to let you sleep for now and to monitor your breathing, Wanda put on a sit-com on the Tv on a low volume as her and Nat settled in.
Over the course of the afternoon Wanda and Nat kept a close eye on you as you slept. Listening to the wheeze in your exhale and making sure it didn’t get worse or require your asthma inhaler.
Once or twice when Wanda checked your temperature with her hand against your forehead you nuzzled into her palm, still sleeping which warmed the witch's heart
You were adorable in her eyes and the glint in Natasha’s said she felt the same way.
At one point your powers began acting up as Wanda wanted to get up for some water and she found herself stuck to you.
She had looked lost and slightly bewildered while Nat giggled and helped her pry you off her.
“Tony says peter does the same thing when he’s sick. They can’t control it.” Nat had explained to Wanda in a hushed and slightly amused whisper so as not to wake you.
Finally at around five in the evening Wanda decided she needed to get up and cook dinner.
As she slid out of bed you began to wiggle a bit, seeking the warmth that had been there moments ago as you had been tucked into her side.
Wanda watched like a deer in headlights to see if you would wake up.
Instead, you simply rolled over and latched onto Natasha leg. Clinging to it like a baby sloth cuddling its mama.
Natasha had looked surprised almost shocked at the turn of events and Wanda hid a giggle behind her hand at Nat’s comical expression before she schooled her features.
It took a lot to surprise Natasha, but you had managed to do it within only knowing her for two days.
Wanda silently slipped out the door as Natasha looked down at you with a peaceful smile.
No longer paying attention to the Tv she was gazing down at you as she gently traced a pattern on your arm.
Despite having only known you for two days, Wanda and Natasha had found themselves almost entranced by you. From the way your nose scrunched up when you smiled to the way it twitched like a bunny before you sneezed.
Peter had kept telling them stories about you and your escapades as spider-man that had often landed him in trouble with Tony.
Wanda and Natasha had found all the walls they had spent years building over their scarred hearts to have melted in the presence of your sunny disposition, even if it was buried under a little sickness at the moment.
Wanda wanted to learn more about you, she always loved stories as a child, but you seemed like the best novel she may ever get the chance to read. And she wanted nothing more than to write the rest of your chapters together. She would be willing to bleed the ink from her own body to write your happily ever after together on the same page. To exist in a world of you and her. To add to the ecosystem that fed her soul. Because she always felt she had room for more un her heart. She had felt love like this before, once before, and it was double as she had laid in the bed with the both of you.
Natasha dreamed of finding someone that felt like home. After so long running from false families and a broken childhood, she wanted nothing more than to curl up and relax with someone that made her feel safe. Someone that made her feel the same way you do when you drink hot chocolate while watching the snow drift down on a winter wonderland. You were the home she was looking for. The way your heart touched hers, reached for her like a magnet was something she rarely felt. Something she had only ever felt once before. With another redhead who lived in the tower.
Wanda finished making dinner at around six. Before calling the team, she plated up three dishes of food and left the kitchen.
Only once she was safely clear and, in the lift, did she tell Jarvis to alert the team for dinner.
When Wanda stepped back into your room the first thing, she noticed was the concern on Natashas face.
Many may see the black widow as a cold heartless woman, yet that was just her persona in front of the cameras.
Sure, she was hard to crack open at first, but it seems she had taken a liking to you almost immediately.
Behind closed doors Natasha was quite a sweet and caring person for those she loved, showing her affection in indirect manners such as little gifts and cracking jokes at just the right time.
As wanda approached the bed she begun to realise why Nat was worried.
Your breathing which they had been monitoring had grown more wheezy.
Nat looked up from where she had been studying your face to look at wanda.
“I wasn’t sure if I should let her sleep or wake her to use her inhaler.” Nat said.
“No, you did the right thing. We have to wake her up for dinner now anyway, so we’ll have her use it now.” Wanda said with a small smile.
“We should also check her temperature and give her some more medicine.” Nat added and wanda agreed with a nod as she placed the dishes down on the desk.
Natasha gently began to rub your arm. “Y/n/n. Y/n/n wake up.” Nat said softly and after a second you batted her hand away drawing a chuckle from Wanda.
“Noooo let me sleep.” You said but Nat wasn’t having it.
You tried to pull the covers over your head but Nat held them down in place on the bed with her foot.
“Would you get up if I told you wanda made dinner?” Nat asked and wanda stifled a chuckle behind her hand as you cracked one eye open.
“Maybe.” You said and wriggled so you were sat against the headboard.
“Good. But before you get dinner its medicine time.” Nat said and you groaned in protest.
“There’s always a catch.” You grumbled and Wanda winked at you.
“For you? Always.” Wanda grinned and you gave her a half-hearted glare.
Natasha pressed your inhaler into your hand, and you simply blinked at her. “I don’t need it.” You said.
“I’m not asking again.” Nat smiled sweetly.
“Technically you didn’t ask the first time.” You said and looked at wanda for backup where she was leaning against the desk with an amused smile.
“Nope.” She said popping the p. “I can hear you wheezing from here bubs. Take it and breath like the rest of us.” She said smugly.
“Whatever.” You pouted and took the inhaler, ignoring them both and looking at a spot on the wall.
When you were done wanda patted your cheek.
“Good.” She said handing you a thermometer you took and dutifully placed under your tongue.
When it beeped Nat’s quick hands beat you to it and stole the device from your lips.
“99.8 it’s gone down.” Nat said with a smile.
“Yay.” You drawled sarcastically.
Before you could even get another word or remark in Wanda placed two tablets into your hand. “Swallow these.” She instructed and pressed a glass of water into your other hand.
You sighed and did as you were told, making both women smile at each other.
As the three of you ate you complemented Wanda’s cooking and savoured the food.
The two women chatted to you about the avengers asking any questions you had. When dinner was done, they could see you fighting to stay awake.
When do I get to meet the team?” You asked over a yawn you directed into your fist.
“Well, we’ll see how you feel in the morning and go from there.” Wanda smiled as she messed around with the pillows. “Get some sleep Y/n.” She smiled and you nodded, too tired to argue.
Settling down you were asleep before they two had left the room.

Who Are You? || F!Reader x Wanda Maximoff
Tumblr media
Y/N is in love with Wanda... But Wanda is in love with Spider Noir. The thing is, Y/N and Spider Noir are the same person - But Wanda doesn't know that. Y/N has a secret identity to uphold.
F!Spider!Avenger!Reader x Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Everyone lives AU - Set after DS:MoM)
Chapter 2
Words: 3.1k Tags/Warnings: Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Wanda needing a hug(she needs a hug in every fic tbh), Mention of blood, Very mild language
The day you met the Avengers, your life changed forever.
You were swinging across the city minding your own business. There had been no threats in the past few weeks so you enjoyed your freedom as you swung through the air. You hadn't expected anything to go wrong today... That was when your spider sense tingled, but you were too late to react as a blast of red flooded your vision - You were still working on controlling and understanding your powers so you didn’t really know how to react to your spider sense. You braced for impact as you smacked into the side of a building and tumbled down to the ground, you crashed down in between a bunch of trash cans in a dirty alleyway.
Groaning, you allowed your vision to readjust. You were about to stand but a familiar hammer was held down on your stomach, preventing you from standing.
"State your business here!" a loud voice spoke, making your head ring. You finally noticed who was hovering above you.
"I-I-" you started, unsure of how to react to an Avenger hovering above you.
"Jane!" another voice exclaimed as footsteps approached, "Let them up, they're just a kid."
"What have I told you about calling me that?" Jane sighed, "You were the one who made the order to take them out of the sky in the first place. You can fly and yet you get others to do your dirty business," she reluctantly lifted her hammer. That was when the other person leaned down to offer you a hand, you gladly took it - letting out a groan of pain once you were on your feet.
"Well, Mighty Thor... I didn't expect Wanda to hit her so hard," he replied before turning towards you, "Sorry about that. I'm-"
"The new Captain America: Sam Wilson," you breathed out, waving his hand away, "Yeah, I know who you guys are."
He let out a chuckle, "Of course you do."
You finally felt a surge of annoyance, "Why did you shoot me down?"
"It was a bit unnecessary..." someone else muttered as they appeared from around a nearby corner.
"You agreed to it!" Thor scoffed.
Your breath caught in your throat, your annoyance surprisingly disappeared. You finally knew who had actually took you out of the sky... The one and only Scarlet Witch. Wanda. You were glad that your mask was hiding your blush. You had had a stupid 'celebrity crush' on her for a while now... And now you were actually here in the flesh with her. You noticed her darkened fingers. You had briefly heard about what she had been through recently but nothing concrete.
"Sam insisted," she tried to reason. She then came over to you, "Sorry for hitting you a bit too hard. I-I didn't hurt you, did I?"
"Water under the bridge," you nodded, "Already forgotten. Nothing my rapid healing can't handle."
Thor and Sam looked at you in confusion.
"O-Oh?" Wanda smiled, "I'm still sorry, but... Sam thought you were a threat. Well, assuming you aren't a threat?"
"Not a threat, promise," you reassured them.
"Good," Sam stepped forward, "We've already got our own Spiderman. I'm surprised we haven't seen you around before."
"I've had these powers for a long time now, I've only recently found the courage to learn how to use them. I only deal with petty thefts here and there, nothing too extreme," you explained, "I don't think I could handle anything like you guys do."
Thor finally smiled, understanding that you were indeed not a threat, "I'm sure that's not true. Maybe we could help you?"
Your heart was beating at an incredible rate. Were the Avengers really offering you a position?
Sam folded his arms, "It's up to youuu... What was your name again?"
Gulping, you hummed, "Erm... My name is..." you paused as your thought. You hadn't really thought about a name before. Your spider suit was pretty similar to Spider-Man's but it was pure black with purple accents, "Spider Noir."
"Spider Noir?" Thor questioned, "That's pretty similar to Black Widow."
"Well, that's my name," you stood by your choice.
"I meant your real name," Sam sighed.
Shaking your head, "No can do. Secret identities and all that." You had learnt that it would probably be a lot safer in the long run if you remained anonymous.
"I like it," Wanda assured, "Mysterious."
"Th-Thanks," your wide smile was hidden by your mask.
That was the day your life as an Avenger began. Sam had offered you to swing by the rebuilt Avengers compound whenever you were free. He was happy to get Spiderman, who you soon learned was Peter Parker, to help you. You were surprised that everyone in the Avengers knew Spiderman's identity, but that wasn't enough to convince you to reveal your own.
Tumblr media
By a stroke of luck, you managed to nab yourself a job at the Avengers compound amongst some other applicants. You applied using your real name, not your alias. You wanted the Avengers to get to know the real you without revealing that you were Spider Noir. You definitely didn't want Wanda to get to know you, that was definitely not the reason why you applied- no not at all...
"So for your first order of business, Y/N," Tony said as he headed towards your desk, papers in his hands, "Sam and Steve want you to keep an eye on the security cameras we've installed around the city. Once there's a threat, all you have to do is press this button," he pointed a finger down at a button on your keyboard, "And one of us will come over and check out the footage ourselves. Steve will decide who goes."
"A bit of a big job for me for my first day, don't you think?" you replied, nervously.
He smirked, "Well if you don't think you can handle it..."
"No no no," you quickly said, "I can handle it, I'm just... Nervous, I guess?"
"Understandable," Tony nodded, "Wanda and Clint will be around if you need anything," he turned to leave but quickly raised a finger, "Oh! And don't be alarmed if you hear any explosions. I heard the Guardians would be back later on today and everyone knows how those guys can get."
You hadn't met the Guardians as Spider Noir yet, you were a little excited to say the least.
You were grateful that you had an office to yourself, the rebuilt Avengers compound was much larger than the previous build so they had more rooms to fill. The view out of your window was wonderful, you could see a big fountain and a huge area covered in nothing but sand - you assumed that it was some sort of training area.
The day was going smoothly, nothing appeared on any of the screens apart from a couple shop thefts which were quickly handled by local police.
"How's it going?" A voice caused you jump.
"Oh! Miss Maximoff!" you cleared your throat, hoping that she wouldn't recognise your voice, "It's erm. Going well! Y-Yeah! No crimes to report."
She stood in the open doorway, "Please. Call me Wanda. Tony told me to check on you and how you were handling things."
"Haven't needed to press that button, yet," you replied, motioning towards the keyboard, "Police have taken everything into their own hands today."
"That's good. It's nice to have a break now and then."
You tried your best to keep your eyes off of Wanda, your brain turned to mush around her. You had worked as an Avenger for a couple months as Spider Noir now, her and Peter Parker had quickly become close with you - both were happy to help you grow and master your powers. Peter accepted because he was excited to have another spider-related hero on the team. Wanda accepted because she felt awful for knocking you out of the sky a little too harshly. You weren't complaining.
The day was quickly coming to an end, still no threats had presented themselves. Well, apart from the threat of the Guardians as they had crashed their ship into a nearby lake. You were sort of glad that nothing actually bad had happened on your first day.
Or so you thought...
You flicked to another camera and your eyes widened. There was a huge fire engulfing a tall hotel building, fire-fighters were trying their best to extinguish the flames. It was obviously not going too well. You looked over at your other monitor and flicked it on before searching the for recent news.
And there it was. The fire had already been posted onto numerous news websites, showing that the fire was only getting bigger and there were still civilians trapped inside.
Now this was a threat. You quickly hit the button.
In no time, Clint headed into the room, "I saw the news," he said, leaning in to look at the security camera footage, "Steve is gonna send out-"
"I'm going to make a call to Noir. It could be a good chance for some training for her," Steve said, appearing in the doorway. He put a finger to his earpiece, "Wanda, Tony, you're up. I'll send you the details."
You gulped hard once Steve headed down the hall.
"Your shift's almost up, kid," Clint said, "Just need you to have one last quick look and sign these papers to say you've checked each camera one last time. Just hand the paper off to me or Bruce."
"Y-Yes, I will."
He smiled before exiting the room.
"Shit," you muttered, quickly turning back towards the screen. You flicked through the cameras, checking off each box on the papers as you looked at each one, "Come on, come on," you said, trying to finish up as fast as possible.
Once you were done, you ran over to the door and slammed it shut - you then looked out of the window to make sure nobody was around. You tapped a button on your metallic wristband which was concealed under your sleeve, your suit soon materialised over you. Pushing the window open, you hopped out - making sure to grab the papers before leaving. You swung off one of the outside walls before throwing the papers expertly through a window, they landed on Bruce's desk. You were thankful that he wasn't currently in the room.
Now it was time to head towards the threat.
Tumblr media
An alert popped up in your mask, announcing that Steve was trying to contact you.
"Already on the way!" you announced upon answering him.
"You saw the news then, I take it," he replied, "Be careful out there, Noir. Wanda and Tony are almost there. I'll send in Thor and Jane if you guys need any more backup. Just get the civilians out and let the authorities take care of the fire."
"Got it, boss," you said before he hung up.
Landing on a building close to the fire was the best way to get a look at what you were dealing with. The sound of thrusters caught your attention.
"What are we lookin' at here?" Tony landed next to you. Wanda soon landed on your other side.
"Unknown amount of civilians still inside," you said with urgency.
"I'll take the higher floors," Wanda decided, “So much for that break...” she sighed before leaping off the building and flying towards the top of the hotel. You couldn't help but stare as she ascended.
Tony tapped a button on his wrist, "I'll see if I can put out some of the fire to help you guys. I'll scan each floor for lifeforms on the way. Good luck, kid," he nodded towards you before boosting off.
Taking a deep and shaky breath, you sprung into action. You prayed that you would be able to rely on your spider sense today.
A window near the middle of hotel was surprisingly not engulfed by flames, you took the chance and dived into one of the hotel rooms. You wasted no time in bursting into the hallway before running down the length of it, kicking down every door in the process to make sure you didn't miss anyone.
"Spiderman?!" a young girl tapped you on the back of your leg. You immediately saw the tears in her eyes.
You quickly picked the child up, sprinting back down the hall, "Call me: Noir," you said. A loud explosion caused you to flinch. Now was the time to get off of this floor. You tried your best not to let the scared child distract you, her scared sobs growing louder in the process.
"I've detected a couple lifeforms near you Wanda," you heard Tony say over comms.
"Already working on it," she replied.
You couldn’t help but shiver at the sound of Wanda’s voice in your ear.
You regained your composure before heading towards the end of the hall and flung the window open, "Hold on tight, okay?" you said to the girl, not giving her time to respond as you immediately dove out of the window. She let out a shriek as you swung down towards the ground, on the opposite side of the street.
"Thank you! Thank you!" a woman exclaimed, tears streaming down her face as she ran over. Who you assumed to be her husband ran over with her. She grabbed the child and held her close, "W-We got separated in the crowd. I thought-" she said, her breathing ragged.
"It's okay," you said, "We're doing everything we can to get everyone-" you paused, eyes widening.
Spider sense.
A loud explosion occurred at the top of the hotel, causing you to turn and look up. A huge portion of the building was now crumbling down to the ground, "Get back!" you exclaimed, running over to a group of people. You held your hands out and quickly shot a web towards them, you pulled them away from the falling debris just in time.
"Thank you, Spiderman!" a man shouted.
"Call me: Noir!" you exclaimed before looking back up.
"Noir! Wanda's gone silent!" Tony said, "There's a couple lifeforms near the lower levels, I'll take care of them."
"Wanda..." you whispered before quickly flinging your arms upwards. You launched yourself up towards the huge opening in the side of the building. Dark smoke covered the floor, you were glad that your mask ventilated it well, "Wanda!" you called, stepping through flames - trying your best to ignore the heat.
Panic started to flood throughout you. Wanda was definitely on this floor somewhere.
"Wanda!" you called again. You managed to dodge a part of the ceiling falling down along the way.
That was when you noticed a blinding red light appear down the hall. Wanda let out a burst of magic to try and get your attention.
"N-Noir," she said, her voice clearly weak.
She had been completely crushed by the ceiling above her, blood was dripping from her head. You knew that Wanda was strong and one of the most powerful magic users to ever exist, but that didn't stop her from getting hurt.
"I'm here, I'm here!" you said, trying to not let the panic get to you. You headed over towards her, flinging off as much of the debris as you could with your webs, "We've gotta get out of here. Fast."
You put your hands under her arms to help her up, she immediately stumbled into you once she was on her feet.
Wanda started to breath heavily, her eyes started to flutter closed, "Noir..."
"I've got you," you whispered, putting an arm around her waist pulling her close, "Just hold on. Try not to breathe in too much of the smoke."
You made it back towards the opening in the wall as fast as you possibly could, you were putting your full trust in your spider sense at this point as your made your way through the burning building.
"Status on Wanda?" Tony asked.
"She's alive," you replied just before you jumped off the ledge, holding onto Wanda tightly.
"All civilians have been evacuated. I'll help the authorities put the rest of the fire out."
You swung back to the building you had first landed on upon arriving, Wanda immediately crumbled to her knees upon landing, "Hey, hey! Are you okay?" you knelt down in front of her, your hands coming up to her cheeks as your eyes inspected her for any wounds.
"J-Just a bit shaken up," she said before groaning in pain, "I hurt my leg pretty bad, but it'll heal. I have a banging headache too..." From the way Wanda was acting, you assumed that her head wound wasn't too extreme. You would still make sure she got it checked out.
Without thinking, you stroked her cheek with your thumb, "I'm so sorry I didn't get to you quicker."
"It's okay. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you. Thank you, Noir," she smiled.
The pair of you had been staring into at each other for a questionable amount of time, "D-Don't mention it, Wanda," you dropped your hands before standing up to look back towards the hotel. You cleared your throat, "Tony seems to be clearing up the fire pretty well." You were once again grateful that your mask was hiding your reddened cheeks.
"That's good," Wanda said, a little disappointment laced her words as she watched you move further away from her.
You looked over your shoulder towards Wanda, "You need help getting back to the compound?"
Shaking her head, "N-No, it's okay. I just need to take a moment."
"Are you sure? I really don't mind-"
"It's fine," she nodded, "You've done more than enough, really," she continued to reassure you.
"If you're sure..."
"Head down there and make sure everyone's okay. They're the priority."
You're a priority to me...
"Okay," you muttered, "Just take it easy. Please." You jumped off the building and headed down towards the ground.
You failed to notice Wanda's soft smile as she watched you leave.

DAY 15: A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS
Tumblr media
pairing: platonic!avengers x gn!stark!reader, peter parker x gn!stark!reader
summary: just a few domestic headcanons about living with the avengers
warnings: mentions of kissing
notes: not really christmas themed, but whatever lol
living in the stark tower was the best thing in the world for you. you were sixteen and it felt like all of a sudden you had a huge family, when before it had always only been your dad and you
the best thing about it was, that they all didn't really act like grown ups but more like much older siblings. but it was great to have some role models, that weren't pepper or tony
then when peter and his aunt moved into the tower, you couldn't have been happier. he was your age and the both of you hit it off immidiately
tony wasn't really happy about this, but he knew that both you and peter were good kids and eventually accepted it, to his luck, the avengers really are teenager and constantly made jokes about your and peters relationship
the worst thing that ever happened was when sam caught you and peter making out in the kitchen on new years day. of course, sam being sam, he didn't shut up about it and it took about ten minutes for everyone to know
that situation was mentioned a lot during the next few months and you and peter found it absolutely embarassing.
every sunday there is a big family dinner, which includes all the avengers and is mandatory
these dinners are CHAOTIC, it's loud and everyone talks over the other but you absolutely love it and wouldn't have it any other way
every friday evening is game night and each of the avengers takes it very serious, because the winner decided what you'll eat on sunday. sometimes you play scrabble, or poker and sometimes also charade, which was banned after a few times, because peter and you always won
the avengers were sure you were cheating, but peter and you had just decided on very indicating gestures that told the other if the word was a movie, a book or anything else
steve spend a week researching how you had done it
speaking of steve: you love to show him and thor everything that is going on in the world, considering they're the ones that aren't really on the internet
you created a tiktok account for thor and he only made one video and went viral immediately, gatherin thousands of follower, while you have like a hundred followers, despite posting 200+ tiktoks
you have a close relationship with wanda and nat, those two are often the most sane adults around you, so you often come to them if you have problems, like a fight with peter or anything
ultimately you keep a close relationship with all of the avengers and they're like a family to you
you're probably the most loved 16 year old in the world lmao

Children
Wanda x reader x Peter
When you were a child, you pictured your life going the way many orphans dreamed of.
Idealistically.
You dreamed of a family picking you, wanting you, and bringing you to a home filled with love and maybe a dog. The white picket fence lifestyle.
When HYDRA picked you, you had been unaware at the time, as had the seventy-four other children, how quickly that dream would shatter.
And, suddenly, the dream became making it to the end of the week.
Surviving the experiments, the torture, and living just a little while longer. Though some days you prayed for death more so than life.
When the Avengers raided the facility just after your fourteenth birthday, and the seventy-fourth child died, you thought you were dreaming.
Even now, two years later, there were days you were sure this was all some sick dream. That you would wake up back in your cell with no chance of a future.
But you didn't.
Instead, you woke up in your room in the Tower with your big windows, open doors, and a family waiting for you a couple of floors down.
Right now, you had no big dreams for the rest of your life. You did not plan out as you had when you didn't know better.
For now, you were living and enjoying the days as they came.
And you weren't going to let anyone take that from you.
"Nat, give me back the foundation!" You huffed, putting your hands on your hips.
"No. You don't need it. So you can't have it." Natasha told you firmly.
"You know I can just take it from you, right?" You asked, staring at the woman who'd resorted to standing on your bed.
"And I'll kick your ass. Point?" Natasha raised a brow.
"Nat, I don't have a scarf, and my hair won't cover this." You gestured to your neck. "It's ugly."
"It's a battle scar, and they're never ugly." Natasha corrected you, jumping to the floor. "You got this saving Steve's ass. You don't have anything to hide." She said, brushing the hair from your neck.
"But,"
"But?"
"What if Wanda and Pete don't like it?" You asked, touching the still tender cut.
"Okay, first of all, those two are usually covered in worse than this, okay? And second of all, they won't care." Natasha said, cupping your face in her hands.
"Yeah?"
"They asked you on this date after you'd been sparing with Steve." Natasha reminded you. "You were sweaty and out of breath,"
"I didn't smell great."
"Probably not. But they still asked you." Natasha said. "You look beautiful, and they're not going to know what to do with themselves."
"Are you sure?" You asked, anxiety making a mess of your stomach.
"Yes," Natasha promised, kissing your temple. "Now, are you ready to watch their jaws drop?"
Non-reader POV
"You two look nice." Steve smiled as Wanda and Peter entered the living room. "Big night on the town?"
"Can you sound any more like a dad, Steve?" Bucky groaned.
"You bring Wanda back by eleven, Parker." Clint reminded the vigilante. "I know where you live, and I know how to get in."
"I stand corrected," Bucky muttered.
"You know we're sixteen, right?" Wanda raised a brow at the archer.
"Oh, it's so cute when they think sixteen is grown up," Tony said, sitting beside Clint.
"Yeah, well, they go from sixteen to seventeen to eighteen, to out of your life pretty quickly." Clint sighed.
"Isn't your oldest thirteen?" Peter cocked his head.
"The oldest that I know of," Clint said, a shiver running down his spine.
"Anyway," Tony shook his head. "Where are you two off tonight? Do you want to borrow a car? Or Happy?"
"We're okay, Mr Stark. We don't need a car or Happy." Peter was quick to tell the man who was already getting his phone out. "We're going to the restaurant just down the street."
"Ooh, the good one with the good gelato?" Bucky groaned. "Stevie, get me some gelato." He said, hitting the blonde's arm.
"Get your own gelato, punk."
"The place down the street needs a reservation on Friday nights. Aren't you two cutting it close?" Tony asked.
"We have twenty minutes before we need to be there." Peter shook his head.
"We're just waiting on Y/N," Wanda added.
"I thought you were going on a date?" Bucky cocked his head.
"We are. With Y/N." Peter said, grabbing Wanda's hand as he stared nervously at the Avengers before them.
"Well, shit. I lost that bet."
"Yeah, I had June on the books."
"You bet on us?" Wanda scoffed.
"Ignore them. Congratulations."
"Just remember, kid. If you hurt either of them, we know where you live." Clint threatened, despite the smile on his face.
"Oh, please. My kid is a gentleman." Tony scoffed. "And, in a move very similar to me but doubled, he's picked two women who'll kick his ass for us if he does anything stupid."
"Ahem." Natasha's voice startled the men on the couch, causing them to turn. "If you lot are done, Peter, Wanda, ta-da," Natasha said, stepping aside.
Y/N stood a couple of paces behind where Natasha had been, and Wanda and Peter's jaws dropped.
"Y/N, you look stunning." Wanda smiled, moving towards the girl.
"Thank you." Y/N blushed. "Sorry, I'm late. Nat had to help me with my hair."
"You're not late." Peter was quick to assure. "We're early. Like so early. We probably rushed a little bit, but we were also nervous. But you could probably tell that because now I'm rambling,"
"Pete," Wanda said, taking the spider's hand with hers. "Breathe."
"Sorry," Peter said after a second to a giggling Y/N.
"It's okay. I'm used to it." She smiled. "You both look really nice. You even match." She pointed to Wanda's dress and Peter's matching bowtie. "I should've asked about the dress code."
"Well, we actually thought about that," Wanda said, using her magic to float a plastic container over to the three of them. "Peter found this, and we thought it might be cute."
"But if you don't want it you totally don't have to wear it," Peter said as Y/N opened the container and gently picked up the red corsage.
"No, I love it." She assured the two. "Help me put it on?" She held out her hand.
"Please, tell me you're filming this." Steve broke the moment. "This is adorable."
"No filming." Wanda groaned.
"Alright, you three better get out of here before one of this lot gets out a camera," Natasha said, ushering the teens to the elevator.
"Be good!"
"Have fun!"
"Be home by eleven!"
"Make good choices!"
Reader POV
"Phil, I appreciate being considered for this, but,"
"It's suicidal." Bucky cut in, scowling at the file in his hand. "She's not going."
"Barnes, you can't make that decision for her." Phil sighed.
"I don't want to do this, Phil." You told the agent. "I'm not an agent. I'm not trained for this. It's nice of Fury to consider me,"
"Nice? He wants you to do this on your own, knowing you have no formal training and that you're a child." The soldier scoffed, throwing the file onto the table and wrapping an arm around your shoulder. "If you try and take her, I will take you out." He said, dead-staring the agent in the eyes.
"No one is going to take anyone," Phil promised, raising his hands. "I'm passing on Fury's offer, that's all."
"That's all?" Bucky raised a brow.
"That's all." Phil nodded. "And since you've made it clear how you feel, I'll be on my way." He added, rising to his feet.
"I'm really sorry, Phil." You told the agent.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, kid." Phil shook his head. "I'll let Fury know your decision." He said before making his way out.
"Thanks for standing up for me, Buck." You said, turning to the man who gave you a smile.
"Anytime, small fry." He knocked your shoulder. "C'mon, let's get you a cupcake."
"You're such a cheater!"
"Just because you don't know the rules."
"We know the rules. You're the one not playing by them."
"The rules of MASH are clear. You have to put a different people for your future spouse." Peter told Wanda.
"And you have to put them individually." You added.
"But this way, I get to have you both. I win, you win, it's fine." Wanda waved a hand. "Besides, you want to talk about cheating and not following the rules? Then who's the one who put a draw two on a draw four?"
"You can!" You exclaimed, throwing your hands in the air. "It's somewhere in the rules. I read it once."
"In a dream, maybe." Peter scoffed. "That is nowhere in the rules, and we are not having this argument again."
"Why, because you know I'm right?" You challenged the spider.
"How did we get to this? We were talking about Wanda cheating." Peter reminded you.
"I am not cheating. I am just making sure I get the future I want." Wanda shrugged.
"Alright, maybe this is not the best game for us to be playing." You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "What's next on your list of things Wanda missed out on?" You turned to Peter.
"I have a list of movies, snack concoctions, a rebellious phase was added,"
"And achieved, I'd say." Wanda cut Peter off. "Why do we have a list again?"
"You wrote the list. You even added 'have a happy childhood' to the top. Which, just proves you've been spending too much time with MJ." You reminded her.
"You know what's not on that list?" Wanda asked as she took the notepad from Peter's hand. "Spend a day with you both."
"I think we've accomplished that many times over," Peter commented.
"Well, don't they say you should always repeat that which you love?"
"Oh, is that why we always end up doing that one position?" You snarked, causing Wanda to snort and Peter to burn red.
"Y/N, you can't say that! Someone might hear you!" Peter hissed, his head snapping to the door as if someone were going to bust through it.
"The only other two apartments on this floor are Nat's and Steve's, and they're out being adults." Wanda reminded Peter.
"What's the matter, Peter? You can do the act, but you can't say it?" You teased.
"I can say it."
"Then say it. Sex."
"Y/N."
"Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex-" You chanted before letting out a squeal as Peter launched across Wanda and tackled you to the bed.
"Peter, don't break the bed again!" Wanda squealed as she ended up smooshed between you and Peter.
"That was an accident!"
"And Steve still won't let us hear the end of it."
"And do you really want to go to Tony and tell him you broke another bed?"
"No." Peter burned redder than before. "I do not want to have that conversation again." He said, laying down atop the two of you.
"So, what? You're just going to use us as pillows for the day?" You asked, running your fingers through his curls.
"Yep."
"Well, that crosses that off the bucket list." Wanda smiled at you.
"Nice work." Maria complimented, pushing off the doorframe and moving towards where you sat on the ground.
"Not good enough to win." You huffed, glaring at Clint, who sat opposite, not out of breath in the slightest.
"I've had decades of training, kid. If you'd won, it's because I let you." Clint said, nudging your foot with his.
"And if not for that reason, there'd be a problem," Maria added, sitting beside you. "So, Fury sent me to talk to you."
"Oh my God, seriously?" You groaned, flinging yourself back on the mat. "He knows I'm ignoring him and his emails for a reason, right?"
"That's why he sent me," Maria told you.
"Yeah, well, respectfully, Hill, you can go back to Fury and tell him she's not going on his mission," Clint said, narrowing his eyes at his friend as he shifted to sit at your side.
"Don't worry, Barton. I already told him." Maria assured the archer. "Every time he's asked me to come and talk to Y/N, I've reminded him she's already given her answer."
"Persisitent fucker." Clint muttered, glaring at the ground. "So, you came here to get him off your back?"
"That and warn you." Maria nodded, looking at you. "He wants you on this mission, kid. I don't know why, but he's not going to stop trying to get you to say yes."
"He can't make me go on this mission, can he?" You asked, looking between the adults.
"He'll get an arrow in his ass if he tries," Clint promised you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
"You're not a SHIELD agent, Y/N. Not even a trainee. Fury can't make you do anything." Maria added. "Even actual agents have the option to say no."
"Right." You nodded, but you weren't convinced.
"Hey, kid, why don't you hit the showers?" Clint suggested. "You've done enough for the day."
"No, I can keep training." You insisted, jumping to a stand. "I'm good."
"Yeah, well, I'm beat," Clint said. "How about you hit the showers, and after, we'll go for a walk and pick up a pie?"
"Can we take Lucky with us?
"What kind of question is that? Of course, we're taking the dog." Clint chuckled. "Hell, we'll even take Hill with us."
"I am not paying for your pizza, Barton."
"You crossed the line!"
"Did not!"
"What do you call that? That's the goddam line, Stark!"
"Watch your language! There are children here!"
"Yeah, watch your fucking language, Grandpa!" You snickered as the adults bickered.
"Kids, what's the verdict?" Bruce sighed, looking over to the couch where you, Wanda and Peter sat.
"According to the rules of Wii Bowling," Peter started, reading off his phone.
"And the rules of real bowling," Wanda added.
"Mr Stark's roll is technically disqualified," Peter said, looking up at his mentor with a frown. "Sorry, Mr. Stark."
"This is bullshit." Tony huffed, collapsing onto a couch with Natasha. "What's the number for Nintendo? I'm calling them and getting them to change the rules."
"What are you going to do? Buy the company and rewrite the rules yourself?" Clint scoffed.
"I'm gonna buy the company and rewrite the rules myself." Tony nodded.
"Nat, please take your turn now before he tries to rewrite history." You groaned.
"Step aside, boys," Natasha said, rising to a stand. "I'm gonna kick Barton to the bottom of the scoreboard."
"We're on the same team!"
"In real life too." A voice from the doorway spoke, causing everyone's heads to snap up.
Nick Fury stood in the doorway, looking unimpressed at the scene before him.
"This is what you do when you're not on missions?" The man raised a brow. "You know, you could be training."
"And this is why you're never invited to game night, sourpuss." Tony huffed, watching the director stalk forward.
"You've been ignoring my emails, Miss L/N," Fury said, dropping the file in his hands on the table before you.
"I thought I'd made my point loud and clear," You said, sitting upright. "Perhaps you'd like to borrow one of Clint's hearing aids, and I can say it again." You added, causing several of the adults in the room to chuckle.
"I need you to take this mission. I need you to be ready to leave tomorrow morning." Fury ignored your comment.
"No." You said, crossing your arms.
"I have asked nicely, L/N. Don't make me ask again."
"You better not be threatening one of those kids in my tower, Fury." Tony narrowed his eyes at the man.
"L/N here has a duty to the rest of the world. She could do a lot of good with her powers and yet she refuses to."
"I don't have a duty to anyone." You said, rising to a stand. "I am a child, and my only 'duty' at this point is to finish high school and be a kid."
"Your childhood ended the day HYDRA started to experiment on you."
"That's a fair point. However, I'm still sixteen. I'm healing from a traumatic experience, and I'm making up for lost time." You said, crossing your arms. "I'm not an Avenger, Nick. And I'm not one of your agents. I'm a child."
"I started the Avengers. I assembled the team that saved your life. The team that gave you a home, a team of therapists, and a new life." Fury told you. "Most in your position would be more grateful."
"Grateful." You laughed. "You think me working my ass off to heal, to learn how to be a person for this team, isn't good enough?
Do you think the hours I put into training, both in hand-to-hand and with my own powers, isn't proof of how thankful I am? You think the fact I didn't jump off the roof that first night here and join the rest of those who were experimented on isn't me being fucking grateful?" You snapped, narrowing your eyes at the older man.
"L/N,"
"I am grateful to be alive, to have found a family, friends, and even people I love." You said, letting your hands drop to your side. You let out a smile when you felt Wanda and Peter take your hands. "I don't work for you or SHIELD. I'm not even a real Avenger. I'm a child whose fight or flight instincts don't work." You continued.
"L/N,"
"I am a child. Not your weapon." You continued to ignore Fury. "I'm not one of your agents who cower at the sight of you. I'm not a robot who does what you tell it. I'm a fucking child!" You snapped.
"Well, maybe Maximoff or Parker would be willing to take your place," Fury said, and you felt your blood boil.
"You don't get it do you?" You scoffed. "We're all fucking children! Cleaning up the mess you made of the world so we have a chance at a future.
None of us asked for this. None of us asked to go through the amount of pain we have in our short lives. The only thing we were supposed to worry about was graduating, getting a job, and having enough money to survive one more day.
But no. You ruined the world, you create problem upon problem and hide them away thinking someone else will fix it. Tell me, do the agents who you sent to their deaths, weigh on your mind? Do you think about the lives you've ruined at all?
I am not going to be one of those lives, Fury. I will finish school, I will go to college and graduate with a degree that means I get to help people. And then I will decide if I become an Avenger. And I will do this with my family behind me and the people I love at my side.
Because at the end of the day, you have made the world a mess. No matter what path any of us take, we will end up trying to fix your mess. Because, even when you are gone, and no one remembers your name or gives a shit about who you were, we will be here. And we will leave the world in a better way than you ever would have." You finished your rant, breathing deeply, as you stared at the now silent director.
"Well, shit, kid." Clint whistled. "You tell him."
"Very articulate, malen'kiy pauk." Natasha smiled.
"None of us could have put it better," Steve added, with Bruce nodding along.
"Now that Y/N's thoroughly destroyed you, pirate. Let me add my piece." Tony said, moving to stand at your side. "You will not be taking any of these kids on any mission. I guarantee if you try to do anything to any of our kids, the Avengers will make you regret ever breathing in their presence. We will destroy you and everything you hold dear. Now, get out of my Tower."
"Fine." Fury huffed after a minute. Without another word the director spun on his heel and stromed from the room.
"FRIDAY, be a doll and make sure he leaves." Tony asked as you collapsed back between Wanda and Peter.
"That was amazing, dorogoy." Wanda whispered, pressing a kiss to your temple. "We're so proud of you."
"I wish I had that on camera to show everyone how badass you are." Peter grinned, wrapping his arms around you. "I loved every minute of that."
"Thanks." You whispered, smiling at the two. "When he said he would get the two of you to go on that mission, I just got so angry. I love you two, and I don't want to ever see you hurt."
"And we love you." Peter promised, kissing your cheek.
"And nothing's going to happen to any of us. We're stronger together." Wanda agreed, pressing her lips to your temple.
"I wish I had a camera for this." Steve once again ruined the moment.
"Steve!"
"Alright, enough with the emotional stuff. Kids, very cute. Y/N, brilliant take down, now back to bowling."

I was thinking about a marvel and Harry Potter crossover. I mean not exactly but yes. That. Like where the characters are from Marvel but the whole universe is the wizarding world from HP books. I like the thought of that. Idk why?

I have an idea for The Package au series!
So, Peter Parker wants to bring reader to hangout with him and his friends. Even though reader and Peter both really want to go, Wanda says no. Maybe because Peter is young and so she doesn’t trust him like she did with Bucky and Sam? Anyway, Peter decides to sneak you out when Wanda and Tony and everybody else is sleeping. What’s the harm if he brings you back before anybody notices you were gone right? Reader has a great time with MJ and Ned.
So what’s the problem? You and Peter accidentally fell asleep at Ned or MJ’s house. The next morning, Peter wakes reader up and is rushing to get back home, freaking out the entire time. When you guys get back, everyone is already awake. Peter gets in trouble by Tony for sneaking out and by Wanda for bringing you out without permission. Wanda is so worried but reader is just like, “I had so much fun last night :)”
I can’t wait to see what happens next in The Package au!!!!! <3
Mission: Sneak out
✒ Pairings : Wanda Maximoff, Peter Parker x Child!Reader (platonic)
✒ Summary : Peter wants to take you to meet MJ and Ned but Wanda says no.

✒ Author's Note : My first Anon request!! I was so excited to write this, it really came at the perfect time as I was losing inspiration for writing since I used to bounce ideas and brainstorm fics with a friend that I no longer speak with. Anyway, thank you! And I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying the series, I hope you like this installment. I am so sorry it took so long 🥲

”Come on, Wanda, please!” Peter pleaded
“No, Peter. It’s just not safe for her to be out of the compound alone. She’s still adjusting to being here and she doesn’t have her powers fully under control yet” She stated, shattering Peter’s plan of bringing you to build legos with MJ and Ned. Though MJ had no interest in the legos really, she would just hang around to banter and spend time with the boys. “Why don’t you have your friends come here?” Wanda offered.
“Mr. Stark won’t allow it” Peter dropped to the couch, defeated.
Wanda didn’t take any joy in seeing Peter this way but she had to stand her ground, it was just too dangerous for you to be out of the compound with a bunch of teenagers. You just weren’t ready for something like that yet.
Tumblr media
Eventually, Peter had to break the news to his friends. The next day, they were all sitting together at lunch so he decided that was as good a time as any. Ned was bummed you wouldn't be able to tag along, but MJ didn’t bat an eye, “so, sneak her out.” she said like the answer was blatantly obvious. Ned and Peter were both equally taken aback by this, “what? No way, I- I couldn’t I mean Fr-” Peter begins to ramble and gets cut off by MJ, “It’s simple, tell her you’re going on a secret mission and then return her before morning, Wanda would never even know. You’re Spider-Man, what could go wrong?”
“No, I couldn’t” Peter mulls it over in his head still.
“I knew you two were losers,” MJ quips as she walks away.
The two boys are left sitting in silence at the lunch table for a bit before Ned speaks up first, “I mean- she does have a point, you are Spider-Man”
“Ugh, not you too Ned. Wanda would kill me if anything happened to Y/N, have you ever seen Wanda angry? The last time I saw her angry, she threw a car at Mr. Stark.” Peter frantically explains
“Ok, ok. I’m just saying, nothing would go wrong. We’re just building legos.” Ned rebutted.
“I guess.” the web-slinger considered.
Tumblr media
After mulling it over in his head for a few days, he decided to go with MJ’s plan. They were just building legos, it’s not like they were traveling to another state or something, and deep down Peter wanted to impress the girl. So he crafted up a convincing-looking letter, convincing enough for a kid anyway. The letter was a creative way for Peter to convince you to keep the plan a secret. To you, this was a stealth mission that you were hand-picked to complete. If Peter had just asked you to sneak out with him and not tell Wanda, he knew you’d either crack under the pressure or feel too guilty.
With the letter hidden in one of the lego sets you had already built with him, the plan was in motion. Later that day he asked you to play with the set and you stumbled upon the crumpled-up piece of paper.
“What's dis?” you ask tugging on it until became free. The note had a large red stamp that said Top Secret in the upper right corner. Peter put on a stellar performance as he investigated it with you and read it aloud.
“Y/N: Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to evade detection while leaving the compound premises tonight at 8 pm EST with Agent Parker. Once clear, proceed southbound toward Main St. Await further instructions. Tell no one.”
“A mission?” you were both excited and confused.
“What do you say, Y/N?” Peter asked with the note still in his hand.
“Why us?” you wondered. You’re just a kid, why were you being recruited for a mission? Maybe this is your Harry Potter moment. These thoughts kept swirling around in your head.
“I don't know, but it was even hidden in our legos, whoever sent it knew how to contact us secretly, seems important.”
“Okay, I’m in” you smiled excitedly.
“Great! I’ll come get you after you go to bed tonight then, and we can’t tell Wanda,” he explained.
You nodded in agreeance with the plan, “When will we get more notes?”
“Probably after we finish this one.”
Tumblr media
Wanda puts you down for bed around 7 and you end up dozing off before Peter comes to retrieve you. He shakes you gently until you start to stir.
“Y/N, it's me,” Peter whispers, “are you still up for the mission?”
You jolt up excitedly, nodding in response, whatever drowsiness sent you to dreamland before is immediately wiped away as you are ready to embark on your adventure with your friend. The two of you sneakily start to make your way out of the compound, making sure that every room is empty before entering. Once the two of you successfully navigated to the door, Peter directs you in the correct direction.
“We made it!” you exclaim.
“We did, now we just have to find the next note” Peter explained.
You continued southbound from the compound with your eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary. As you passed an alleyway, you glanced down it and then thoughts of all the different things that may lurk in the dark corners quickly took over as you hurried toward the brightest part of the sidewalk.
About a block later, you come across an envelope taped to a tree. Immediately, you run up to the tree and tear the envelope off, “Found it!” you exclaimed holding the note high in the air for Peter to see.
“What’s it say?” Peter asks as you hand the note over to him to read.
“It says we have to go to this address” he points out
Peter’s place isn’t far from the compound so it doesn’t take long to get there. The trip there was pretty tame, except you noticed a rat scurrying across the sidewalk on the other side of the street and then seconds later a grey cat scurried out from behind a bush as it played the game of chase with the rat.
“What do we do now?” You asked as the two of you walked up to the door to the address on the note.
“We go in” Peter states
“Are you going to climb in a window? OH, or climb onto the roof?” You brainstorm ways that Spider-Man could get into places as Peter unlocks the door and walks in.
“I was thinking of using the front door” he states plainly as a joke.
“How- how did you do dat?” You asked wondering if all superheroes just had universal keys to the city or something.
“I live here,” Peter explained as Ned and MJ shouted “Suprise”
You’re visibly confused as Peter takes you over to the dining room table with the legos, “There’s one more note here, Y/N” he points out for you to read.
You take the note out of the envelope to find the word “Build” written on it. You understand it immediately as you turn to the three others in the room for an explanation, “We’re building legos?” you question.
“Yea, I wanted you to meet my friends. This is MJ and Ned.” Peter introduces.
“MJ? And Ned? Da ones you always talk about?” you wonder
Peter blushes, “I- I mean I don’t always talk about them. But yea, this is them.”
Ned and MJ make their way over to the table with you, “Nice to meet you, Y/N.” Ned offers.
“You too”
The three of you are engrossed in the lego building for a couple of hours as MJ plays on her phone and keeps the boys on their toes as they miss build steps. Once 10 o'clock rolls you start yawning enough for Peter to realize he should probably bring you back to bed.
“Are you ready to head back, Y/N” he asks
You thought about it for a second, you were so engrossed in the legos that you didn’t even realize how tired you were. Once you realized you were ready for bed, you nodded in agreeance.
Before you knew it, you were headed back to the compound.
“Did you have fun?” Peter asks as you continue your trek home.
You nod in response, “I wike your fwiends” you noted, “especiawly MJ, shes rewly pwetty”
Peter smiled at your response, “She is really pre-” he’s cut off as you’re both startled by the sound of a gunshot coming from a store that you're passing by. Peter immediately jumps into action as he finds a place for you to hide, “Stay here, I'll be right back” he mentions as he runs toward the area of the gunshot.
You stay put for a few minutes until you remember that the whole reason you were out with Peter tonight was for a mission. Maybe it was all leading to this, or maybe you just wish it was, after all, you came out tonight to be a hero. So that’s exactly what you plan on doing, you and Peter are partners in this mission, and you’re not going to let him sideline you, so you move toward the store.
When you walk in, you see Peter fighting 4 different guys at the same time and you try to find something that will allow you to help him. There are products scattered all over the ground from the men being knocked into the shelves. You pick up the nearest item and throw it at the bad guy closest to you. It wasn’t until then that anyone even noticed your presence. The man laughs and immediately grabs you, “What do we have here? Is Spider-Man sending kids to do his dirty work now?” he snarks.
“Let me go!” you struggle
“Y/N! I told you to stay put!” Peter scolds as he continues to kick everyone’s ass.
“We’re partners, I help” you defended.
As you tried to justify why you came in to help, one of the men motioned for your captor to leave through the back with you in tow. He scurried out as quickly as possible while you thrashed back in forth in his arms to try and break free. Once the black-haired man had you outside, all the courage you had built up to go and help your friend quickly turned to fear. Your courageous yells soon became cries for help as you could no longer see your friend, Peter.
Before the man could get you into a van, the fear took control over your body to unleash a shockwave, breaking you free from his grip. With the man unconscious on the ground, you ran as fast as you could back to the safe spot that Peter had left you in. Minutes later, after Peter finishes up with the men inside the building, he rushes to the back to look for you. Relieved is an understatement, he sees the man lying knocked out on the ground and he knows you must’ve gotten away. The only issue now is, where did you go?
“Karen, are you seeing any traces of where y/n headed?” he inquired to the artificial intelligence in his suit.
“Size 3 footsteps indicated on the infrared scanner show that she most likely headed northeast,” Karen informs as she overlays the infrared scanner into Peter’s field of view.
“Perfect! Maybe she headed back to the spot I left her in earlier”
Once Peter finds you, he checks you over to make sure you’re ok; and while you are very shaken, physically you are fine. “You could’ve gotten seriously hurt, Y/N.” Peter scolds as the two of you begin walking back towards to compound again.
“I sorry, I- I just thought dat I should help cuz we’re on a mission togeder”
He can’t help but smile at that, “You’re going to be a great Avenger one day”
“I am?”
“Yea, but listen, no one else at the compound can know what we were up to tonight” He reminds you
“Right, right. It’s a secret mission. I renember.” you state nodding you head in agreeance.
When the two of you pull up to the compound, Peter scales the side of the building with you on his back, until he reaches your room. His plan, however, is ruined when your window is completely locked from the outside with no way to get in. Karen can’t even get it open as there is an override to keep it shut from F.R.I.D.A.Y.
His only other option is to take you back in through the front entrance. That should be ok though, after all, that is the way that you two escaped in the first place. The entrance is clear, all is looking good until they reach the common room. Tony and Wanda are just sitting there waiting for you. Peter stands there frozen for a second until Tony finally breaks the silence. “You wanna tell me where the two of you were or should I ask Karen?” he states dryly as you leave Peter to run with your arms toward Wanda. She stands from the couch to engulf you in a comforting hug as she lifts you up, “Hey, detka, are you okay?” She says removing the strands of hair from your face to thoroughly look you over.
You nod as you nuzzle into her shoulder. It was far past your bedtime and it only took a slight bit of comfort from Wanda to remind your body of how exhausted you were. “I’m going to bring her up to bed. I’ll deal with you tomorrow.” She says as she shoots a glance laced with daggers at the man of webs.

“I don’t know how I managed to let you talk me into going to the lab with you this early.”  You stretched your arms out as you yawned, keeping your arm just so to keep your coffee upright.
“Dude.  It’s 10 am,” Peter chuckled.
“These good looks don’t just happen, man.  I need a full nine hours.”
“Maybe if you went to bed before 3 am-” “Now wait a minute.  You’re lecturing me about going to bed early when you used to pull all-nighters slinging webs around Queens?”
“Shut up!” He swatted your arm before you had the chance to pull away.  “At least I was doing something productive with my life, not playing Pokemon-” “Completing the Pokedex is extremely productive.  Now it might not be the same kind of productive as extracting the Spidey mutation from your genome sequence, but categorizing all the Pokemon from the Galar region is an important, time-consuming task.”
Peter rolled his eyes as he rolled down the sidewalk next to you.  You chuckled, taking a sip of your coffee as you shook your head.  This sort of banter was typical of your friendship.  Peter was one of your closest friends and easy to joke with, but you also worked well together.  It didn’t hurt that you were both biochem majors and had the same sort of scientific mind.  Since you met in world civ last fall the two of you had been as thick as thieves.  It didn’t matter that he was three years older than you, a grade above you, or that he used to be Spider-Man.  Finding out that the guy in the Stark tech wheelchair who loved Led Zeppelin and Star Wars was once the friendly neighborhood superhero was not what you expected when you went over to his dorm to hang out for the first time.  Peter was used to people freaking out when they found out and was thrilled when you shrugged it off.
“So what exactly are we doing today?” you asked.  You had volunteered to help him out with a research project he was working on.  He hadn’t told you much about it, only that it was being funded by Tony Stark and dealt with genome sequencing.
“Nothing too crazy.  I need to take samples of your blood.  I’ll use those as test subjects against my blood.  That’ll be the control sample.”  He punched in a sequence on the keypad on the arm of his chair.  Tank tracks dropped down from the bottom of the seat as the chair began to climb the stairs to the science building.
“You know how to take blood?” you asked, holding the door open for him as he wheeled into the building.
“Yeah, well…yeah.  I mean Sam taught me how to start an IV and drawing blood is the same principle, right?  You gotta find the vein.”
“Oh my god I’m gonna die,” you mumbled as you turned down the hall toward the lab Peter worked out of.  It was one of the newest labs on campus.  Tony Stark had donated a sizable amount of money toward the Empire State College science and research division with the provision that all the money go toward funding better facilities for students.  The new building had just opened at the beginning of the semester.  Peter was more than excited to have a space stocked with the latest Stark technology to work on his newest endeavor.  It was more convenient than trying to head upstate to the Avengers Compound a few times a week.
“I won’t let you bleed out on me, man.  Worst comes to worst we’ll just throw some webs on it and send you to New York Pres.”
“Is that supposed to make me feel better about all of this?  Because it’s totally not.”  You hated needles.  You hated doctors.  The thought of someone who was decidedly NOT a medical professional fishing around your elbow for a vein made your stomach flip flop.  Maybe a large coffee wasn’t the best idea for breakfast…
The bright fluorescent lights in the lab snapped on as you opened the door.  They seemed unnecessary as sunlight flooded the windows that took up the entirety of the easternmost wall.  The overhead haze added to the sterile feel of the room: the latest in Stark Technology, ranging from microscopes and test tubes to autoclaves and fabricators, shone brightly against the lights.  It was nerd heaven, stuffed to the brim with everything anyone could ever need for any experiment they could dream of.  You threw your backpack on a lab table adjacent to where Peter was setting up his laptop.  Once you were done helping him out, you figured you’d swing by the library to start cracking on the paper for your art history course.
“So I already took my own samples earlier this week,” he explained. “I’m storing them in the fridge over there.  Mind grabbing them for me?” He motioned with his head to the mini fridge that sat next to the sink.  You walked over to the fridge, seeing a rack of blood vials sitting on the bottom shelf amongst the Petri dishes of spores and sole can of Coke.  “Don’t drop it,” he cautioned as grabbed a ziploc baggie of medical supplies out of his bag.
“Whoop.”  You fake tripped, stumbling around and swinging the tray to and fro aimlessly.  He shot you a somewhat serious glare.  You returned a toothy grin.
“Dude if you drop that-”
“Relax, Pete.  I’ve got steady hands.”  You placed the tray on the table in front of him with the grace of a swan.  “See?” You raised your hands up defensively.  “Steady hands.  I should be a goddamn surgeon.”
“Ah yes, Dr. Y/N L/N, the surgeon who hates blood.”  He dumped the contents onto the table.  Out fell some rubber gloves, a rubber tourniquet, needles, tubes, alcohol wipes, and cotton balls.  You gulped at the sight of the paraphernalia.  “So why don’t you just sit there and roll up your sleeve so we can do this.”
“Are you sure you can’t just, like, prick my finger?”  Plopping onto the stool you rolled up the sleeve of flannel.
“Do you want to sit here and fill up these tubes one drop at a time?” Peter asked from the sink.  The tray of tubes, empty ones and ones full of his blood, sat next to him as he washed his hands.
“Good point,” you muttered.  It felt like you were chewing on the flannel from your shirt.
“Just relax, I did it on myself the other day and I turned out just fine.”  There was a slight waver in your friend’s voice as he spoke.  Try as he might to hide it, Peter was nervous, too.  He snapped on the baby blue gloves.  You turned your head away, refusing to look until he was done.  “Can you just make a fist for-good okay, yup, I see the vein.”  The sudden coolness of the alcohol against your skin made you shiver, but you refused to look.  Even as you felt the slight prick of the needle against your skin you kept your eyes firmly shut.  “Told you I wouldn’t let you bleed out,” he chuckled, replacing the now full vial with an empty one.
“How many vials do you need?”  You strained your neck as you tried to look as far away as you could from the scene unfolding in front of you.
“I don’t know, I did six of my own.  That should be enough,” Peter shrugged.
Six vials of blood?  Why did you even decide to do this in the first place?  You could’ve been back in your dorm in the comfort of your bed, sleeping the morning away, instead of having your blood forcibly removed from your body.  Peter definitely owed you big time.
He removed the tube from your arm, handing you a cotton ball to stop the bleeding.  “That should be it.  Mind putting those back in the fridge for me?”
The second your feet hit the floor your knees wobbled.  It was probably psychosomatic, but the sight of all your blood sitting inches outside where it should be made you the slightest bit queasy.  “Yeah, no problem.”  You shook your head quickly.  There was no way you were going to let yourself puke or, even worse, drop the vials and have to do it all over again.
It took all your effort not to look down at the plastic tray in your hands.  You concentrated all your effort on staring down the refrigerator.  That ultimately meant neglecting your untied shoelace.  Before you realized what was happening you found yourself tripping over your feet.  While you managed to not lose your balance completely, the sudden jolt sent two of the vials crashing to the floor.
“Shit,” you mumbled as you set the tray on the floor.  There were shards of glass and blood splattered across the marble tile.  You quickly glanced over your shoulder, hoping Peter hadn’t seen your mistake.  Much to your relief he was engrossed in his notebook.  That bought you some time to quickly clean up the mess.  You looked around for a roll of paper towels, spotting the roll next to the sink and tearing off a few sheets.  The crimson puddles looked like they’d be easy enough to clean up.  Not thinking too much about it, you knelt down and started blotting at the spill.  A sudden stab caused you to recoil from the ground in pain.  As you examined your hand, you noticed a small scratch on the pad of your thumb.
“You good?” Peter’s voice broke you away from staring at your hand.
“Yeah.  Dropped one of the vials and cut myself.  I’m good.”
“Was it one of mine or yours?”
“Uhh, mine.”  Truth be told you had no idea if it was yours or his.  There was no way to know which vial was which.  Peter knew.  He probably had it marked down in his laptop or something.  But you remembered that his vials were facing you when you pulled them out of the fridge.  That meant yours were away from you and there was an empty spot there.  Yeah, it’s mine.  “You need me for anything else?”
“Nah, you’re good,” Peter focused intensely on his laptop, typing away as you finished cleaning up your mess and putting the samples away.  “Are we still on for dinner tonight?  Ned’s dying to try out that new Thai place on Watts Street.”
“Yeah, shoot me a text.  I’m headed to the library for a bit.”  You slung your backpack over your shoulder as you headed for the door.  “See you.”
“Thanks again, Y/N.”
******
You spent the rest of the day in the library researching and typing and revising your paper.  The minutes ticked by as you lost yourself in the endless barrage of Western paintings you thought looked all too similar.  Yet as the day passed you found yourself feeling strange.  At first you thought you had been studying too long.  The words on your laptop screen seemed fuzzy and you found yourself re-reading the same paragraph on Donatello about a dozen times before anything seemed to click.  Then the library seemed to drop ten degrees before abruptly shooting up another twenty.  Sweat on the back of your neck ran down your shirt and chilled you as fast as it cooled you off.  The lights were suddenly too bright and even the silence was too loud.
Shit, you thought to yourself as your felt heat radiating off your forehead.  It was probably the flu.  It had been making the rounds through campus for the better part of a month, so you weren’t completely surprised.  Closing your laptop and shoving your books in your bag, you texted Peter as you left the library:
Got the flu.  You and Ned go without me.  I’m gonna go to bed.
The walk back to your apartment wasn’t long, but it was a near-impossible task in your ever-worsening condition.  Every step felt like you were trudging through molasses.  Your legs were as heavy as cement and you prayed you wouldn’t trip because you weren’t sure you’d be able to get up again.  Tears clouded your vision.  Rubbing your eyes didn’t help.  The only thing on your mind was downing half a bottle of Nyquil and passing out as soon as you got back to your room.
Much to your relief you walked into an empty apartment.  Peter and Ned must’ve already left for dinner.  You kicked your shoes off and dropped your bag at the front door.  There was no doubt in your mind that this was the flu: you felt like absolute garbage as you shuffled to your bedroom.  As you flopped on the bed, clothes and all, your body felt like it was made of lead.  Bone-crushing fatigue consumed you as you shivered on top of your bedspread.  You prayed that you’d be able to get a little bit of sleep to help dull the pain.
When you woke the following morning, you were surprised to find that you didn’t feel sick at all.  In fact, you felt better than you had in a long time.  There wasn’t any evidence that you felt so poorly only a few hours ago.  You swung your legs around to the side of the bed and stared at the floor as you thought about what you were going to do all day, but when you tried to stand up something was off.  As you stretched your arms above your head, you felt something engulf you: it was your blanket.  It was stuck to your hands.
Did I spill Nyquil on my hands? you wondered as you tugged at the fuzzy fabric.  No, I didn’t take any Nyquil last night.
It took a considerable amount of effort to tear just one of your hands away only for it to stick on the wall as you balanced against it for support.  Paint flaked away as you ripped your hand away.  At that point you weren’t sure if you were still asleep or not.  Squeezing your eyes shut, you reopened them to find flakes of drywall still attached to your fingers.  What the hell?  You shook your hands, trying to free yourself of the debris, but as you flicked your wrist downward, you heard a loud thwack.  The sticky white residue covered Marty McFly’s face on the Back to the Future poster that hung next to your bed.  That same white residue balled up on the inside of your wrist.  When you tried to pull it off, a long spindly web came with it.
Oh fuck.
The implications of what just happened were huge to say the least.  The vial you broke yesterday wasn’t yours: it was Peter’s.  His blood contaminated yours when you cut yourself and now you had…spidey powers?  It couldn’t be.  This all had to be some sort of nightmare.  You were just a normal guy trying to make it through college relatively unscathed.  Sure, your roommate was an Avenger and that was a little weird, but other than that your experience was pretty normal.  You had no interest in having superpowers or saving the world whatsoever.
“Everything okay in there, man?” Peter asked as he rapped on your door.  It momentarily snapped you out of your panic.
“Uhh yeah, yeah.  I’m good,” you hollered through the door, still looking at the web in your hand.
“You sure?”
“Yeah.  I’m okay.  Just, uhh, knocked my blankets off the bed.”  You wiped the web up with a tissue, praying that it wouldn’t stick to your hand, too.  It didn’t, much to your relief.
“How are you feeling?” he called as you started taking off your clothes from the day before.  A long shower would help you figure out what your next move was.
“Good.  Great actually.  I feel fine,” you responded, throwing your dirty t-shirt on the ground.  “How was dinner?” “It totally sucked, man.  You didn’t miss much,” Ned’s voice was faint as he yelled from the kitchen.
“Bummer.  I told you that you should’ve done Indian instead.”
“Well hey if you’re feeling better why don’t we go for lunch?” Your stomach grumbled at the thought, but images of getting stuck to the subway pole loomed in your mind.  “Yeah, sure,” you responded absentmindedly while kicking your pants off and grabbing a clean pair of sweats off your bed.
Wearing nothing but your boxers, you opened the door fully intending to go straight to the bathroom.  The second Peter and Ned saw you their jaws dropped.
“Dude!” Peter exclaimed.
“Wha-?”
“Woah!  Y/N, when did you get ripped?” Ned asked.  You were thoroughly confused.  None of your hobbies included going to the gym or working out.  What were they talking about?  The lights came on in the bathroom and as your eyes adjusted to the brightness you were shocked.  It was like someone took a  chisel to your body overnight.  There were muscles in places you didn't know there could be muscles.  The reflection in the mirror showed you defined pecs, swollen biceps, and the faintest outline of a six pack.
“What the hell?” you mumbled in disbelief.  Your fingers traced over your chest, taking in the new body you’d inadvertently fallen into.  It was a surreal experience seeing an unfamiliar body in the mirror.  It was almost like you were watching someone else live your life while you watched from outside yourself.
“Are you sure you’re alright, Y/N?” Peter asked as he wheeled himself in front of the bathroom door.
“Yeah.  I’ve just got spidey powers now.”  It didn’t even feel like you were the one saying those words.  Haze clouded your periphery, forcing you to focus on the newness of your body.  It was an out-of-body experience in every way.  There was no way to really process the profundity of the situation.
“You WHAT?”
Time stopped.  Everything stopped.  Peter’s face contorted with dozens of emotions in the blink of an eye.  Glass shattered on the kitchen floor as Ned’s glass slipped out of his hand.
“Umm, yeah I guess.  I’m starting to think that was your blood that I cleaned up yesterday.”  You half expected Peter to be furious at the truth, but the beaming grin on his face told you otherwise.
“It worked!  Holy shit it WORKED!”  He spun his chair around excitedly, whooping all the while.  “Mr. Stark, oh man, he’s gonna be so excited!  He’ll want to meet you.  Man, now he doesn’t even need to look for someone to be the next Spider-Man because…oh this is great, I can teach you everything!  That way you’ll be WAY ahead of where he thinks you should be and he’ll let you onto the team fas-”
“The next Spider-Man?”
“I mean yeah, Mr. Stark will definitely want to talk to you about it,” Peter replied.
“Dude, I’d kill to be Spider-Man!” Ned added, sweeping up what remained of his glass.
“No way, absolutely not,” you groused as you stormed out of the bathroom.  “No offense, Pete, but I don’t want to be an Avenger.”
“You don’t have to make a decision now.  I don’t even know if he’ll ask.  I mean he probably will but that doesn’t mean anything.  He might just want you to come in to do, like, more testing or something.”  Peter gingerly walked back his excitement.  The prospect of training the next Spider-Man brought a sense of optimism back into his life that had long been forgotten.  Losing his identity as the local neighborhood web slinger stripped away a core part of his identity: Peter Parker and Spider-Man were one in the same.  Sure, he still used his powers and webs when he could, but it wasn’t the same.  Tony had offered to make him an exosuit after the accident, but he knew that he couldn’t do it anymore.  One close brush with death was more than enough for him.
“Look,” you sighed, “I’m not you.  I don’t want to go out and swing through Manhattan and stop burglars or fight weird lizard things.  I just want to be a normal guy doing normal guy things with my normal guy friends if I can even call the two of you normal.”  Peter chuckled half-heartedly.
“Wait, can you stick to the ceiling?” Ned suddenly asked.  You sighed again, shaking your head as you extended your arm up and jumped: you stuck.  “Woah!  That’s sweet!”
“Yeah, it is kinda cool I guess,” you chuckled as you watched your fingertips completely suspend your dead weight from the ceiling.  Getting used to your new body was a curious sensation.  Everything felt sharper.  Colors were brighter and bolder.  You saw incredibly small movements even from the corners of your eye.  Your body felt stronger and faster and more agile.  It was strange, spending your entire life as a regular human being and then waking up one day twenty years later with these weird spidery feelings tingling inside you.
“Do you want one of my web shooters?” Peter asked as you dropped down.
“Web shooters?”
“Yeah,” Peter replied questioningly as he raised an eyebrow.  “You don’t think I can actually make webs, do you?”
You responded by mimicking the hand gesture Peter frequently showed you, flicking your wrist downward as a raveled strand of webs flew out of your wrist.  Peter ducked his head out of the way in the knick of time while Ned’s jaw dropped in amazement.
“Didn’t see that coming, did you?”

avengers (and peter parker) on their wedding day, maybe seeing reader walk down the isle?
Tumblr media
Tony was very nervous at first, he kept glancing at the alley door, hoping you wouldn't get cold feet or run away..You had every right to.
He was a flirt, egotistical genius and you had had plenty other reasons to quit, give up..His foot was shaking and he was about to call the whole thing out when you appeared.
You were breath-taking.
Words got stuck in his throat and when you started walking, Tony felt that—out of all the Avengers—he was the luckiest.
"I do.."
He blurted out before the priest had even started the ceremonial speech. You smiled knowingly at him and Tony thanked his lucky star that he got to you first. He wasn't stupid, and knew you had had many proposals before him and he didn't think you would pick him, but you did..He wanted to do a little dance and shout very childishly.
"TAKE THAT, SUCKERS !"
But, he didn't want to sound like a complete asshole the day of your wedding, so he simply smiled back.
He almost forgot that he had a whole speech prepared for the occasion, a real teary-eyed emotional speech..But, when he opened his mouth to say them, the words that got out were completely different.
"Y/N L/N. I never thought you would become a Stark, even less to accept to go on a first date with me or become the one who brightens my life. But, for some reason ? I wouldn't have it any other way. And even though Stark used to be a name I wasn't proud of—that I despised even—I know that if you decide to wear it ? I would never be prouder of bearing any other name..You make me want—for the first time in my life—to embrace who I am and give my all so our future name may make you proud. I love you, Y/N.", he finished and you were thankful he did, because you would have had no time to shower him in praises in return.
"Tony Stark. Genius, billionaire, philanthropist..And, I hope, no more the playboy I used to know ?"
A couple of muffled chuckles and barely hidden snorts made themselves heard in the audience. However, you didn't mind them, as your eyes were still fixed on Tony who faked being offended, placing his hand flat on his chest with his eyes slightly agape in mocking indignation.
"I thought..How could someone so great ever be interested in me ? Out of every person in the high crowd..How could the incredible Tony Stark ever see me ? But—for some strange reason—you did. You took my hand and we danced. We danced, and it was on that first night that I knew. You were the one I would end up falling in love with, and even though there were a lot of stones and crevices along the way..Here we are."
Tony smiled knowingly at you. Your love had never been simple or straightforward, but it still led you to the altar. He didn't believe in destiny, but he had to admit it really seemed like it.
When it was finally the right time, he didn't hesitate before repeating the I do and you followed him suit.
Your love wasn't perfect, but it was worth it.
He then grabbed you and tilted you backwards to kiss you deeply, not caring about the room full of guests gasping and clapping energetically around you.
And to make it even better, Tony grabbed your hand and you both ran away, a car already waiting outside for you. When you were both in the car, he turned towards you and asked you with a small enigmatic smile.
"Where to, my lady/gentleman ?"
You thought about it for a moment before finally answering with a wide grin.
"How about..everywhere ?"
Tony seemed taken aback for a moment, but soon, his signature smile brightened his face and he kissed your knuckles before starting the car.
"EVERYWHERE ! HERE WE COME !", he declared loudly.
You missed the old man, standing next to the car, until your eyes briefly met and he smiled.
You were sure to have seen him somewhere before ? He waved and you waved back sheepishly. It was like you were saying goodbye to an old friend.
"Take good care of him..", he mouthed to you before Tony drove away.

Clint was on the verge of tears. He had waited for that day for so long, he thought it would never come..
Natasha had to hold his hand while they were waiting. Clint knew he had to choose a best man, but he couldn't see anyone who deserved that title more than Natasha.
"Don't worry. They're coming. Hold the tears, you big softie."
Natasha admonished jokingly and he gasped a breath before nodding weakly.
"I'll try..", he replied with a little broken voice, his tone betraying his nervousness.
Natasha smiled sympathetically and patted his shoulder encouragingly.
At that moment, the doors opened and you appeared. In an instant, all of Clint's worries vanished. He just knew his heart seemed to be malfunctioning, as it couldn't stop beating faster than a running horse.
He felt cold sweat run down his spine and gulped loudly as you started walking towards him.
That was it.
The moment he had waited so long for and it took all of his will power not to laugh in relief. Finally. He would have everything he ever desired..You would be his wife/husband and the notion itself made him feel like everything he had to go through to find you was worth it.
He almost missed the priest's words and when it was his time to talk and tell you everything he felt for you ? He fell silent from a second or two in secret devotion before finally finding the right words.
"Y/N. I wanted to impress you. I even asked the others for advice on what I should say to you today..But, truth is ? There are no words strong enough to tell you how much I love you..You know me. I was always the quiet type, and even though, you found something in me. And, if you say yes today ? Know that you would make me the happiest man in the world."
He couldn't hold back his tears any longer, but you neither. You smiled happily at him and took a big breath before starting talking too.
"Clint. I knew from the beginning that winning you over would be a challenge. Tough guy who has terrible trust issues and a fortress around his heart that even I, had great difficulty piercing through. And God knows I've tried.."
It made him and the audience laugh, but if a marriage was to be successful, it had to be built on truth and trust. So, you had to be completely honest as to why you had fallen for that man that everything seemed to tell you not to at first..
"..But, I also saw a side of you that took me by surprise. A glimpse of who you truly are..You're the most caring and admirable man I have ever met and just for that, you gained my heart."
Clint blinked his tears away and when he held your hands and leaned forward to kiss you, it was beautiful and so true, it brought tears to Natasha's eyes as well.
When you took a step back and you smiled brightly at each other, you didn't even hear the loud cheers around you.
You threw the bouquet and it landed into an old man's hands. You didn't recognize him exactly, but you were sure to have seen him somewhere before..He smiled widely at you and shouted.
"SEE YOU AT MY WEDDING !"
You smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Send me an invitation !"
The old man smiled back and disappeared in the crowd afterwards. Your attention then went back to Clint who took your hand and led you to the exit, flowers raining on your path.
You knew you would be happy with him.

A marriage on Asgard was everything you suspected it would be..especially for a royal wedding.
There was the whole kingdom chanting your name and the aisle was so long, you had trouble seeing the end of it..However, when you finally arrived, Thor was waiting for you in his glistening and shinning armor. He looked like one of those princes in fairy tales and you couldn't believe you would soon be his wife/husband.
"You look beautiful.", was the first thing he said to you and you couldn't deny it when he was looking at you with so much love and affection.
It was happening.
You would become the king/queen of Asgard.
Odin linked your arms together with a white cloth and since you are from Midgard, he also asked for the both of you to exchange wedding rings.
When it was time for your respective matrimonial speech, you started.
"You. Thor Odinson. You are everything I never thought possible. You are literally a god. A warrior with inimaginable powers who—one day—knocked on my doorstep and asked for my help. I never could have imagined that my decision of helping a stranger would lead me to where I am today..But, I'm very glad it did..I'm glad it lead me to you. Thor."
Thor beamed at you and for a moment, you could have sworn a tear escaped his eye, but he quickly wiped it away with his thumb before speaking too.
"You. Y/N of Midgard. Are and will always remain the only being in the universe I will ever willingly kneel to. I will offer you my undying loyalty to. And yet, I think it is not enough. Because, you deserve so much more than what a king, or a god can offer you. You deserve happiness, and I will enjoy spending my entire life making sure you will get it. OR MY NAME ISN'T THOR ODINSON !"
You cried a little and knew that Thor wasn't a liar and knowing you had such power over him filled you with pride. Your love for him was overflowing and your heart was beating alongside his like a silent imperceptible song only the two of you could hear.
When Odin asked you, you both said yes in unison, not leaving each other's eyes. You missed the way an old man was looking at the both of you with tenderness..As if he actually knew you.
"You can kiss the..."
Thor didn't wait, he leaned forward and pulled you flushed against him before kissing you breathless. The whole kingdom applauded and you wrapped your arms around his shoulder, everything disappearing around you.
But, a familiar voice succeeded in piercing through the crowd's clamoring to you.
"Have a great life you two."
You opened your eyes and looked around, but the old man was already gone and all that was left was the arms of your beloved around you. Thor tilted his head to look in the direction you were facing with a small worried frown.
"Is something the matter, Y/N ?"
You smiled reassuringly at him and shook your head.
"Nothing important..Let us go."
He smiled widely, as if he was waiting for you to say that before carrying you in his arms to the exit.
He was very excited about spending the night with you and show you everything Asgard had to offer. Your new home.

Bucky was surprisingly calm.
He knew you would come. He was standing straight next to Sam.
With Steve being gone, Sam was the best option and he remained stoic beside him with a small knowing smile on his lips.
He leaned forward to whisper.
"Don't worry, Bucky. After today, you'll no longer have a reason to keep that frown on your face."
Bucky huffed a laugh and as Sam had predicted, the moment his eyes fell on you, he smiled.
You were beautiful..He forgot where you were for a moment and took a step forward, eager to tell you how incredible you looked, but Sam stopped him by resting his hand on his shoulder.
"Calm down, tiger. Let them come to you."
Bucky stopped dead in his tracks and moved his leg up and down impatiently, a smile not leaving his face as he waited for you to walk the stairs of the altar. Once you were finally there, you looked at each other and Bucky instinctively reached for your hands.
The priest arrived and when it was time for the both of you to vocally express your love, you found yourself speechless. What could you say that might express the way you felt about him ? Thankfully, Bucky spoke first.
"Y/N..You are beautiful and smart and incredibly clever. I didn't expect you to be there by my side when times were rough for me, but you were..You are more than what I am worth and just by standing here today, you might as well consider me impressed and in love with you more than ever."
You smiled and nodded understandingly, knowing how every word from Bucky came from the heart. You blinked a few times to wipe the tears away and then replied.
"Bucky Barnes. You have suffered greatly in the past, but I sincerely hope you will find the happiness and peace you seek for with me..In that future we will build together."
It wasn't long, but it was the truth. Bucky could feel it as he smiled tenderly at you and reached for your hand once more. He was sure to find more than he ever bargained for with you and you both tried not to laugh as Sam almost tumbled forward in his eagerness to bring you the rings.
Once the rings exchanged and you both said yes to each other, Bucky kissed you passionately and you smiled into the kiss. You were finally married. When you pulled away, Bucky eyed the door significantly and you smiled again before nodding on agreement. It was time to go..Bucky grabbed your hand and you started running towards the exit.
Once out, Bucky was surprised to find a brand new moto at the gates of the church and was even more shocked when you unhesitatingly jumped on it.
You must have noticed his confusion as you turned towards him and shrugged.
"Happy wedding anniversary in advance ?", you threw the keys at him and Bucky's smile widened as he understood, this new beauty was all his.
"Did I already tell you how much I love you ?", he asked, running his hands on the shiny plastic with admiration.
"Once or twice.", you replied with a small teasing smile, happy that your gift was appreciated.
You glanced back at the church and found a man on the stairs, staring right at you. He smiled kindly when your eyes met and for some reason ? You knew he was someone important.
You smiled back before Bucky climbed on the seat his brand new motorcycle and you wrapped your arms around his waist.
"Am I still your favorite ?", you teased as Bucky was obviously still admiring the moto, but he immediately broke eye contact with her to look at you.
"Have no doubt about that. I'm the one riding her. You ? I would let you ride me."
Your smile dropped for a moment as you registered what he just said, but Bucky didn't let you reply before starting the engine.
You would have all the time to figure it out on your honeymoon. *wink wink*
The priest was the first one out after you and you locked eyes for a moment. He smiled and winked at you before shouting.
"Enjoy the ride !"

Scott took a big breath before breathing out loudly, skipping from one foot to the other nervously..He had already been a groom once, it didn't end well..He sincerely hoped this time around would be different. He had Cassie by his side with her little basket full of pink rose petals and he wanted to show her that her dad wasn't a complete failure.
But, he was scared.
He closed his eyes and breathed deeply through his nose to calm himself down, but it was difficult.
What was he doing ?! Why go through the same process when he already knew marriage had never worked out with him ?
However, when the door slammed open and you appeared, as gorgeous as the day you met..He knew why he was here. He knew why he was risking it. He was risking it for you. Because you were worth it. Because you were different.
His heart filled with love and his eyes with tenderness as he saw you walk the aisle. It was like an angel had suddenly come along to brighten his day and make his insecurities wash away..You were here. It was all that mattered.
He took a step forward and extended his hand towards you that you took with a big smile..Gosh. He would die for that smile.
When it was time for the marital vows, Scott had planned the whole thing, had written it down even. But, as his eyes locked with yours, he realized it didn't matter. Whatever he could possibly say, you already knew.
So, he decided to speak from the heart and improvise, something he never really was good at..according to a lot of people.
"Y/N. You're the man/woman of my life. From the moment we met, I never doubted a second that we would eventually be together. However, I won't lie. I was scared. Still am, actually. I wasn't a good husband, not even a good man either to be honest..I want to believe that I can be with you, but it's hard. I'm excited, hopeful and it's fantastic, but also terrifying. I've never felt like this before, not since Cassie was born. I'm so in love with you. I can't wait to kiss you, have children with you, have a life with you, change diapers with you and..", he chuckled awkwardly at the sudden silence in the church/room after that last part and massaged the back of his neck nervously,"..I ruined the moment, didn't I ?"
You laughed. You laughed, and Scott's eyes widened as tears formed at the corner of your eyes and he feared you were laughing at him, but he quickly discarded the idea.
"Scott..You fool ! You're the best man I have ever met ! You are an amazing father, a goddamn superhero and I can't believe you can't see it yet ! I'm so in love with you, I want all the things you want and more ! I don't care about your past. I love you, Scott. You."
Scott couldn't hold it any longer and pulled you in his arms, not even sparing a glance at the crowd around you. You laughed and kissed each other before the priest had even finished the request and shouted in unison when it was time to say yes, eager to be alone together.
You then ran and you took Cassie in your arms, the three of you entering Scott's car in a hurry, ignoring her mother's protests.
At the last minute, you could have sworn seeing an old man waving at you, but it was only a flick of the moment and you shook your head.
You were going home and Cassie beamed up at you.
"I KNEW YOU WOULD BE MY NEW MOMMY/DADDY !"
You laughed at that and when Scott kissed your knuckles, you knew your future would be amazing.

Stephen was surprised. He wasn't surprised that he was getting married. That. He knew.
He was surprised to find you already waiting for him at the end of the aisle..34 hours before the wedding. You weren't wearing a dress/suit, but you were still there, as if waiting for him..as if you knew he would be there.
He floated down next to you and you stood still, not even glancing at him. You knew he had something to ask you..
Stephen looked up at the ceiling.
Maybe would he find the words up there ?
There was something bothering him..
It wasn't him who had asked you. He thought he would be the one to put a knee on the ground and get out the ring, but you beat him to it..And the only answer you had given him when he had asked you about this sudden decision, was an enigmatic smile and a cheeky wink.
It was gnawing at him. However, your voice cut him out of his thoughts as you turned towards him.
"I wanted to see you..Just, to make sure you're okay."
His eyes widened. It was his wedding, why wouldn't he be okay ?! He was ecstatic, he couldn't wait to be eternally linked through marital contract with you..He had waited too long when love had knocked at his door the first time, he wouldn't make the same mistake twice. So, he lied. He smiled and shook his head.
"I'm okay.."
The look you gave him showed that you weren't fooled, but you didn't persist. He would tell you eventually..
There was still this worry persisting in the back of his head, and even though he wanted to tell you, he couldn't.
So, when it was the time for marital vows on your wedding day, only one question went past his lips.
"Y/N..Why did you propose ?"
Your brow furrowed and you looked up at him with confusion in your eyes and he understood he would have to be clearer.
"Why did you propose first ? You knew I would have eventually done it..Right ?"
Your reaction wasn't the one he expected as your straight out busted into laughter..He knew he should be upset, but the sound was so beautiful, he couldn't help but laugh as well.
"Right. Stupid question.", he quickly added, but you shook your head and held his hands in yours. You smiled absent-mindedly at his calloused fingertips and wondered how many people he had saved with those hands ?
"Stephen Strange..If I had waited for you to propose to me, I would have died a bachelor/an old maiden."
He was shocked at first, but let out a soft chuckle at the realization..You were right. Stephen had a problem when it came to taking decisions, especially concerning the matters of the heart. He should have known.
Well..He had his answer now.
The priest smiled as he saw Stephen's contempt expression, which was known to be a rare sight.
"Stephen Stradt..", he started, but was interrupted by Stephen.
"It's Strange."
The priest frowned a little at the correction before continuing.
"Right, Strand. Will you take Y/N to be your wife/husband ?"
Stephen stopped himself from rolling his eyes and decided to ignore the priest and looked back at you. You were radiant and Stephen felt his chest fill with pride at the thought that finally, he had found his happiness. He would no longer be alone.
"Yes.", it came a little too quick and by the way your smile slightly widened, you knew too.
You followed suit and when he leaned forward to kiss you, you let him linger there a few seconds longer than necessary, certain that that kiss would stay in both of your memories until the end of your lives.
You then pulled away and Stephen turned towards the crowd, trying to remain composed, but failing as his cape started wiping his tears away.
"Quit it.", he ordered and the cape indulged, but seeing Stephen's red face was enough for you to let out a small laugh. He sent you a death glare, but it softened as he realized you were now his wife/husband..that he would get to hear your laugh again and again. It made him smile again.
A few days later, the marriage papers would arrive and you would both be surprised to find the correct last name on the document.
"I knew it ! That old priest was mocking me !", Stephen exclaimed in disbelief and you laughed.
However, you then found another small note written by the priest to your attention.
Take good care of that old grunt for me. I wish you both a good fulfilling life.
You smiled at the note and the faint memory of the priest's face came back to you..Somehow, you were certain to have seen him somewhere before ?
Stephen noticed your thoughtful expression and squeezed your hand.
"Is something the matter ?"
You looked back at him and smiled reassuringly before shaking your head.
"Nothing. Just an odd feeling of melancholy..It'll pass."
Stephen didn't further on the subject, but he did extend his hand forward to lead you outside.
"How about a walk outside to clear our minds, Y/N Strange ?"
You smiled at the name and nodded in agreement.
"There is nothing I would like more, Stephen Strange."

Peter was late.
It was to be expected. It wasn't easy to be a superhero.
However, what you didn't expect was Spiderman to crash your wedding and land in front of you. You knew that Peter was Spiderman, but many of the guests didn't. Or, so you thought ? There weren't that many guests, and since your few family members that could come had been delayed by traffic, you couldn't be sure.
"What are you doing ?", you whispered to him and he shrugged before replying.
"There was too much traffic. I didn't want to be too late to my own wedding.."
You rolled your eyes and hid your amused smile before turning towards the priest and gestured him to continue the ceremony. The priest, after a few seconds of staring at the unexpected groom, indulged. When the part of the vows arrived, you wondered if you should spare his whole secret identity thing by addressing him as Spiderman ? But, he spared you the trouble as he started.
"Y/N. We went to class together. We fought crime together. And now, we're getting married..Wow. If I didn't know any better, I would say you have a crush on me ?"
It made you laugh. Typical Peter..Always had to get the last laugh. But, not this time.
His eyes widened when you started undressing in front of everybody and Peter then noticed your hero suit underneath.
"What are you doing ?!", he exclaimed, mourning the dress as it fell to the floor.
"There is no way you're getting married in your hero suit and I don't ! Now, help me get out of that dress/suit !"
"Yes, ma'am/sir."
Peter eagerly agreed with a small amused laugh and then helped you undress while the guests looked at each other, wondering if it was all part of the wedding plan. But, when you were both in your hero suits and Peter held your hand, it felt like there was only the two of you.
It felt right.
And when your eyes met ? There was this warm sensation that spread across your body and when it was time for the kiss, you pulled him in. Peter didn't complain.
He thought he would never get to ask you to marry him, as many heroes die young. He knew this the moment he became Spiderman..He thought he would never get to see you in a wedding dress/suit. But, here you were.
You were married. It was done. Peter's eyes watered and he quickly wiped them away. He wasn't going to cry at his own wedding.
But, you seemed to read his mind as your own eyes brimmed with tears of joy.
You kissed him again and Peter swore he could have died of happiness right there.
He then remembered where you were and pulled away, his hand still in yours as he turned towards the crowd. There was aunt May, clapping next to Happy who was trying his best to remain stoic, but failing spectacularly as he burst into tears. Aunt May gave him a handkerchief that he accepted gratefully.
Peter smiled affectionately at them, but then his eyes caught another pair of eyes on him. An old man was sitting at the far end of the room/church and was clapping too. He had a pair of sunglasses on and even though Peter had never seen him before, he was familiar to him somehow..It was an odd feeling, a mix of melancholy and relief. It was as if his uncle Ben was still there, still watching over him.
You also noticed the old man who left the church with his fist raised to the sky.
"Good job, kid.."

"Who put the marinara sauce next to the tortilla chips ?!", was the first thing you heard when you entered the room where there was suppose to occur you wedding after-party. There was no doubt it was your wife who had just exclaimed her disapproval and was now rearranging the whole design of the room to her taste.
You pretended to be as obfuscated as her by the room arrangement, even though you were the one who had placed the marinara sauce next to the tortilla chips.
"What ?! Where is the police ?! The National Guard ?! The army ?! A crime has been committed !", you joked and she sent you a glare that immediately made you raise your hands up in surrender.
"I'm innocent, officer. I swear."
She rolled her eyes, but a small smile betrayed her amusement as she huffed before exchanging the marinara sauce for some guacamole..Figures.
"It is no laughing matter ! I want everything to be perfect."
You repressed an eye roll before wrapping your arms around her waist and resting your chin on her shoulder, while she was working her magic to make everything "perfect." Then, a dark thought crossed your mind.
"Say..Did you ever try to make me 'perfect' too ? Just wondering..", you wanted to sound nonchalant, but Wanda was not fooled. She suddenly stopped her actions to focus on you and saw the sudden hesitancy in your eyes.
She framed your face with her hands and slowly tilted your head so you would look her in the eyes. She then gave you the brightest and most genuine smile she could muster before kissing your forehead.
"You already are.", she finally answered and you felt your heart skip a beat at her confession. You smiled back at her and kissed her sweetly.
"I love you..", you whispered against her lips and she laughed, a light and beautiful laugh so pure it sounded like your wedding bells were already ringing.
"I sure hope so..", she replied with a small amused smile and you held her close.
Who could have predicted a little red witch would have stolen your heart ?
An old man then entered and coughed to get your attention.
"I'm sorry to interrupt..But, if you youngsters would like to follow me, I would like to show you the cake. It has arrived earlier than expected."
Before you could answer, Wanda gave the old man a wide grin and clapped excitedly.
"OF COURSE ! Lead the way..", she then grabbed your arm and dragged you forward, eager to see the cake with you (and maybe even get a taste.)
You walked past the old man and mouthed him in exaggerated helplessness.
"Help."
But the old man raised his hands, clearly signifying that his hands were tied and watched you both walk away with a small smile on his face.
"...I hope you will finally be happy, Wanda."

"Once the war is over, I'll marry you. I promise, Y/N."
Steve had promised to you before going to war all those years ago, and you had waited..You had waited..But, he never came back.
When Steve was found under the ice, his first thought after being brought back to life was to find you. But, what he found wasn't what he wanted..He learned that after long years of waiting, your heart had stopped one morning. He walked into the cemetery and his eyes prickled with tears as he saw your name carved in the stone. You were supposed to grow old together..
And now, you were six feet under the ground and Steve could only wish he wouldn't have waited..He played with the ring in his fingers and bent his head forward to hide his tears from view..It was not supposed to end this way.
He loved you..He still loved you..It wasn't fair.
He tightened his fist around the ring and wondered if he should just get rid of it ? Would it bring him some kind of closure ? Would he finally find peace ?
He then buried one knee in the ground in front of your grave and asked the question he had been so nervous to ask in the past, one that he had no trouble with now..Now that it was too late.
"Y/N L/N..Would you marry me ?"
The pang in his chest tightened at the deadly silence. He would never get his answer it seemed.
He burst into tears, his teardrops falling onto the ground, watering the dry earth beneath him and making it all the more real.
What had he ever done to deserve this ?
"I'm sorry..I'm so sorry I was too late, Y/N. I..You don't know how much I would have wanted to be there. I would give everything to get back to you..I love you. I love you so much. It hurts."
Captain Rogers who was normally so composed, could only crumble in the dirt for your forgiveness. He had seen all of his old camarades marry and die on the battlefield..Now, he didn't know if he pitied or envied them.
He would keep fighting. But, what was the point now ? You were gone.
He left the ring on your tombstone and walked away..only to walk back to retrieve it.
He couldn't give up. He wouldn't..Never.
A few years later :
When Steve stayed in the past, he only had one thing in his mind: you.
He ran so fast, faster than ever before and climbed the stairs by four, racing through your front yard to knock at your door. He was breathless and knocked a second time more urgently, hoping that you would be the one opening the door.
Finally, footsteps were heard and the door opened ajar.
You appeared. The door wasn't completely open that he was already embracing you.
"Y/N..", he uttered your name with such relief, it brought tears to your eyes.
You returned his embrace and buried your face in his neck.
"I missed you..so much.", you cried out and Steve tightened his hold on you, thinking of the irony in your words bitterly.
"I missed you too..And I don't want to wait any longer."
You pulled away confused, until Steve fell on one knee in front of you and got out the ring he had bought all those years ago.
"Y/N L/N. Would you..?"
He didn't get to finish the question.
"YES ! YES YES YES. ! ONE MILLION YES !", you interrupted him and jumped into his arms, making you both fall backwards.
When the ring was slipped on your finger, you looked at it with such a bright smile, Steve could only adore you more for it.
You were both in such bliss that you failed to notice the man standing on the other side of the road, gazing upon the both of you with almost paternal tenderness.
"Finally..You are all happy now."

Fighting the Tickle Monster
Request: Hi! First of all, your fics are amazing and cute and I'm so sorry for the haters you're getting! If that's okay, I wanted to give you a little prompt for Wanda and reader. Like, since joining the compound, reader has always seen Wanda being the tickle monster (she gave herself that title!) so they get Wanda, only to find out she is a huge and adorable walking tickle spot! You're free to add whatever you want, even other characters, I don't mind :)
Notes: Thank you so much for this cute request! I appreciate your patience waiting for this fic! I hope you enjoy :)
Word Count: 2030
------------------------------------------------------------
You were new to the Avengers, as this was only your second week living in the compound with all of them. You were still in awe of the structure and layout of your new living space. The highest technology, finest finishes, and updated appliances. For now, you had your own room, but you were never alone for long. Especially since the rest of the Avengers loved hanging out as a group downstairs in the common area.
You had many mentors who helped lead the way for you. As you learned more about how to be a great superhero, you also learned a lot more about the roles around the compound. Yelena was the prankster, roping in Kate and Peter so she could split the punishment. Peter and Kate were young and maybe just a tad bit scared of Yelena. They figured it was better to split the punishment three ways rather than two. Natasha was definitely the mom of the group, caring and strong, while always looking out for your safety and well-being first. Steve was the goofy one, always cracking corny jokes and happened to be an amazing chef as well. Tony was the uptight, serious, all work no play guy around there. Thor, Bruce, and Clint were chill dudes, who bonded over their lack of understanding of what young people do these days. Lastly, Wanda was the one who would do anything to protect anyone, but she also had a mischievous side and couldn’t help messing with people given her powers.
From what you’ve seen so far, whenever Yelena would try to pull pranks with Kate and Peter, Wanda would be the first to punish them with tickles. Her powers allowed her to pin all three of them at once while still having both her hands free. Natasha would sometimes join in to help her or give away Yelena’s weaknesses. Even though you were new here, Yelena still tried to rope you in as much as possible. Today, you were involved in your first quadruplet prank, which you learned the hard way to not do.
The four of you had put on swim flippers, dragging mud prints into the compound, trying to scare the others that an animal had walked through and left footprints. You guys were able to execute it quickly, running into the garage to take off the flippers and hide them. You knew this was a harmless prank since Wanda could use her magic to clean it up in seconds. However, your flippers were stuck and you couldn’t get them off in time, when the garage door opened and Wanda caught you guys in the act.
“Well well well, what do we have here?” Wanda asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nothing…” You said, avoiding eye contact and trying to move out of sight.
“Seems like Y/N has gotten roped into one of Yelena’s famous pranks huh?” The witch said, knowing that Yelena and the rest of the crew were hiding nearby.
“I wasn’t doing anything!” You blurted out.
The witch knew you were lying, as she could hear your thoughts.
“Really?” Wanda said, smirking a little before sending some magic towards you. In seconds you felt ticklish sensations on your ribcage, making you double over with laughter and wrap your arms around yourself, to no avail.
“Wahahanda stahahahap gehehet ihihit ohohoff,” you giggled, struggling to stay standing.
“Not until you spill the truth,” Wanda said, upping the sensation, making you fall to the ground laughing. It also didn’t help that she had added sensations to your armpits. Wanda slowly made her way over to you, as you were a giggly mess on the floor. Your superpower was the ability to shut your nerves off. However, you were too ticklish and couldn’t concentrate enough to focus.
“C’mon Y/N, what’s the matter? Can’t turn your ticklishness off?” Wanda asked, now picking you up and flying back into the living room with you, and pinning you with her powers. With that, she continued the sensations and began to tickle your sides with her sharp nails.
“GAHAHAHA WAHAHANDA STAHAHAHAP PLEHEHEASE IHIHIT TIHIHICKLES,” you screamed with laughter.
“Better fess up who else is in cahoots with you,” the witch teased, speeding her fingers up.
“AHAHAHA NEHEHEVER,” you cried, unable to squirm and knowing that if you didn’t fess up, she would tickle you to tears.
“Tell the tickle monster, before she makes you pee your pants,” Wanda teased, moving down to your feet.
NOHOHO NOHOHOT THEHEHERE OKAHAHAY IHIHI GHIHIVE,” you shouted, knowing that once someone got a hold of your feet, you were done for.
“Tell me,” Wanda demanded, as you giggled from the lingering sensation.
“Ihihi ahaha was wihith Yelena, Kate, and Peter,” you huffed out, lying there in defeat.
“Ohh interesting,” Wanda said teasingly, as you knew she already knew all the details, wanted to tickle you to get you to confess.
“You’re evil, you know that,” you said playfully.
“Glad you picked up on that in the short time you’ve been here,” Wanda said with a wink.
“Now what do you say? Want to help me dish out a punishment to your other little minions?” Wanda asked with a smile.
You thought for a second, knowing that either way you would be in trouble. Whether it was with Wanda or Yelena. However, Wanda had way more power, so you took your chances with Yelena and led the witch back to the garage where the others were hiding. In your defense, they didn’t try to save you when you were being tickled to pieces.
You turned on the lights in the garage, telling Wanda where they hid.
“Thanks, Y/N. I’ll give you a headstart so they don’t try to chase you,” the witch whispered. You quickly ran off, hearing Yelena shout your name to get back there. You let out a giggle and returned to the living room where you found Natasha doing a sudoku puzzle.
“Heard you got wrecked, Y/N,” Natasha said, smirking without looking up.
“Shut up, I did not!”
“Everyone could hear your laughter throughout the compound,” Natasha said. Before you could respond, Wanda came back in, all three kiddos in tow.
“Why do we keep agreeing to this?” Peter asked Kate, who looked like a deer in the headlights, knowing she was doomed. Yelena was the only one trying to wiggle her way out of Wanda’s grasp, being unsuccessful.
“The more you squirm, the more she’s gonna tickle you,” Natasha told Yelena.
“But if I escape I won’t get tickled at all,” Yelena said back matter-of-factly.
“Too bad you’re not escaping,” you chimed in shyly.
“You little turd. You’re the reason why I got caught!” Yelena said, pointing at you.
“Don’t worry, I already tickled her to pieces,” Wanda said, catching you blushing.
“Oh man, I wish I saw that,” Yelena said with a chuckle.
“You missed a lot. She’s super ticklish and has the sweetest giggle,” Wanda said, floating her magic towards you, this time on your stomach.
“Nohohohoo Wahahahanda plehehehease ihih’ve hahahad enohough,” you squealed, curling up into a ball. They all laughed at your reaction, much to your embarrassment.
“I didn’t forget about you guys,” Wanda said, promptly pinning the three of them with her powers.
“Now, who should I start with first?” Wanda said, wiggling her fingers.
“Kate!” Yelena blurted out, before bursting into laughter, as Wanda raked her nails over Yelena’s armpits.
“AHAHAHAHA STAHAHAHAHAP.”
“Since you volunteered someone else, I decided to tickle you first,” Wanda said cheekily.
“IHIHITS SOHOHO BAHAHAD PLEHEHEASE,” the blonde laughed, as Wanda began to squeeze her knees and knead into her hips.
Wanda gave her a break and moved on to Kate, who was the most scared out of all of them.
“Please don’t tickle me! I’m sorry!” Kate pleaded.
“Hmm, no I think the tickle monster is still hungry,” Wanda said, blowing three raspberries on Kate’s stomach. It tickled so much that Kate went into silent laughter.
“Wow Kate, she’s not even doing much,” Peter teased, whose eyes then widened when Wanda reached over and tickled his armpits, making the boy squeal with laughter. She now used her other hand to dip a finger into Kate’s belly button.
“WANDA NOT THEHEHEHERE IHIHI CAHAHANT STAHAHAND IHIHIT,” Kate screamed. She was getting their two worst spots at the same time. Once she felt they had enough, she sent some magic to all of them, tickling them on their feet and sides. They were all laughing too much to even speak. Meanwhile Natasha had moved closer to you on the couch.
“You know, we should try to get Wanda back. She’s always the most powerful one here, but why not give her a taste of her own medicine?” Natasha suggested quietly to you.
“No way! I’m not suffering through punishment again!” You hissed back quietly.
“You’d rather be in trouble with me?” Natasha said, pinching your side, making you yelp and jump away.
“That’s what I thought,” the redhead said, now explaining the plan to you.
Natasha snuck up behind Wanda while she was distracted, grabbing her from behind and pinning her arms above her head. Meanwhile you came around and quickly sat on Wanda’s waist.
“Y/N! What are you doing??” Wanda questioned, trying to break free from Natasha.
“I’m here to get revenge,” you said simply.
“Too bad I’m not ticklish, so you’ll have to find another way,” the witch responded confidently.
“We’ll see about that,” you said, slowly tracing your fingers over her sides and stomach. You saw her jolt, as she sucked her stomach in to avoid your fingers.
“Oh what do we have here? Seems like I’m not the only liar here,” you said, now kneading into her sides and tickling her stomach with no mercy.
“Y/N STAHAHAHAP OHOO MY GOHOHOSH,” the witch cried out with laughter. The tickling was enough for her to break concentration, which released the other three from her spell holding them down. Meanwhile, Natasha was using her free hand to tickle the witch’s armpits.
“Alright everyone, pick a spot,” Natasha said, keeping a firm grip on her wrists.
Yelena went to her feet, Kate was at her knees, and you and Peter would get her upper body, while Natasha got her armpits.
“Everyone ready?” Yelena asked.
“NO GUYS PLEASE! DONT DO THIS!” Wanda panicked, unable to escape.
“Who’s the tickle monster now?” You asked, as you all began to tickle her to pieces.
“NOHOHOHO AHAHAHAHAHA GUYS STAHAHAP,” Wanda shouted, overwhelmed with ticklish sensations.
You raked your nails over her ribs, before digging in between her rib bones knowing that you had hit a sweet spot. The witch tried to kick and wiggle as much as she could, but she was outnumbered.
“Do you admit defeat?” Yelena asked, running her nails over a particularly good spot near her heel.
“GAHAHA NEHEHEVER SCREHEHEW YOHOHOU GUHUYS,” the witch laughed, turning pink.
“Man she is stubborn,” Peter commented with a small laugh.
“Fine, then take this as revenge for all the times you tickled us. Turns out you’re even more ticklish than us!” Kate said, now tickling the back of her knees.
Natasha had let her guard down a bit, loosening her grip on Wanda’s wrists. The witch saw this opportunity and extended her arms to reach Natasha’s stomach. She wiggled her fingers, causing Natasha to yelp and let go of her wrists. With her hands free now, she immediately turned towards you and reached up to tickle you off of her. You squealed and immediately got off of her. Wanda was able to overpower the others and quickly turned the tables on Natasha, the only one who hadn’t been tickled yet.
Within seconds, Natasha was laughing and squealing, failing to swat Wanda’s quick hands away. You joined the other three, fleeing to safety.
“You brats!” Natasha yelled out over her laughter. The four of you knew they would get revenge on you guys afterwards, so you guys took advantage of the head start. Even if tickling embarrassed you, you loved the bonding it created between you and your superhero teammates. And the one thing you always remembered was that Wanda was the ultimate tickle monster.

The Spiders Sister - Chapter 4
Summary: Reader goes shopping with Pepper, Wanda and Nat. It ends a bit early though when reader starts to struggle with her senses.
TW: overstimulation, flirting, speeding, domestic fluff (hehe)
Words: 3.8K
A/n I changed the floor layout my bad. Also, I planned like 16 chapters of this fic so far and there will probs be more. Now i’m just worried I’ll end up loosing interest and not finishing it 😭 and I’ve been up since 2am. I slept for two hours 💀
After a dinner of pizza and other takeaway foods Tony had bought, Wanda and you headed back to the floor with Peters room.
Stepping out of the lift Wanda led you to where you had been staying for the past few days while Nat went ahead to your new room put sheets on your bed.
Your room would be on the same floor as Natasha and Wanda’s. It was also where Yelena and Kate stayed when they were in town as well as Carol when she was on earth.
You reached the door and headed into peters room. It didn’t take long to gather your things. You grabbed the backpack with some clothes in it, all of which were dirty by now as well as your tablet, computer and sketching supplies.
Once you had shoved most of it into the bag and had your laptop in your arms you followed wanda back out the door.
Despite your very comprehensive tour of the compound, you still didn’t know where you were going.
Wanda and you got back into the lift and set out for your new room.
The lift was filled with idle chatter as Wanda caught you up on the avengers love lives. Tony and pepper were together while the rest were still living the bachelor life.
Feeling a little bold you decided to ask her.
“What about you?” You asked. “Are you seeing anyone?” You clarified when she shot you a confused look.
“Not currently.” Wanda said studying the rarely used buttons on the lift. Jarvis often did all of that for you.
“Ok cool.” You said before stuttering. “I mean not ‘cool’ but its not uncool” you began rambling only cut off by the angelic sound of Wanda’s giggles.
Your cheeks were rosy as she smiled at you.
“Your cute when your flustered.” She said with a wink just as the doors opened and she stepped out. You were frozen for a second before gathering yourself and following her out half a pace behind.
As you trailed after Wanda down the halls she turned to look over her shoulder at you. “You coming sweetheart?” She asked and you nodded speeding up your steps to walk beside her.
As you rounded another corner she slowed. “This is my room.” Wanda said gesturing to a closed door. “And that’s Nat’s.” She gestured to the door next to hers. “This is your room.” She said walking down to the door halfway between Wanda’s and Natasha’s on the opposite side of the hallway.
The door to your room was open as Nat was sat on your freshly made bed with a grin.
“Wondering when you were getting here.” Natasha smirked making Wanda roll her eyes at her.
You stepped into the room. It was large with a king bed and huge windows that let in natural light, or at least it would if it was daytime. It was past evening now and almost nine pm. The New York skyline was just as beautiful, however.
You set your bag and laptop down on the desk before sitting down next to Natasha on the bed.
The walls were white and grey. There was a big desk near the windows and a bedside table on each side of the bed. A door was off to the side which you assumed led to a bathroom. There was also a second door which must have been a wardrobe. Other than a lamp on the bedside and a Tv mounted on the wall, the room was bare.
“We’ll get thing to decorate when we go shopping tomorrow.” Nat said almost as if she could read your mind. More likely she could read your expression and body language.
“Sounds perfect.” You said with a smile.
“Do you have clothes you can sleep in tonight?” Wanda asked and you shuffled your feet before looking up at her.
“Er… no?” You said.
“Are you asking me or telling me sweetheart?” Wanda asked coyly making a blush rise on your cheeks.
“Telling?” You said still sounding unsure of yourself.
“Very well then. I’m sure Nat and I can find something for you to sleep in for tonight.” Wanda said looking to Nat for her opinion. The widow nodded and you felt yourself relax slightly.
“Thank you guys. I wasn’t looking forward to wearing dirty clothes in a clean bed tonight.’ You said sighing in relief.
“Are all your clothes dirty?” Nat asked eyeing your backpack.
“Yeah.” You huffed.
“We’ll find you something to wear tomorrow as well then, just until we can sort out some new clothes and laundry. Sound good?” Nat asked and you nodded.
“Yes, thank you.” You said.
“No need to thank us darling. Your quite welcome.” Nat purred and you felt yourself resist a shiver as her words danced close to your ear. The hair on the back of your neck swaying slightly under her breath as your skin tingled with the heat of her words.
You swallowed trying to regain your composure much to both women’s amusement.
“T-thanks.” You stuttered.
“Already said that darling.” Wanda chuckled and your blush deepened.
“Your so easy to mess with.” Nat said laughing from beside you.
You just glared at them and went to take the things out of your backpack while Wanda and Natasha left to find some clothes for you in their cupboards.
You had just finished setting down the last of your art supplies on the desk when Nat walked in loosely holding a faded black shield T-shirt that immediately knew was hers from how worn it looked. It also looked to be almost two sizes too big for Nat, so you shot her a questioning look.
She shrugged. “Its comfier to sleep in when its too big, and it kept the other boys I trained with back in the day from being able to stare at my ass.” She said with a wink.
“Whats this about Nat’s ass?” Wanda said walking in with a sly grin as your cheeks heated and you buried your face in your hands with a groan.
You heard the two of them high-five and rolled your eyes.
“Here.” Wanda said and you felt the bed dip beside you.
Wanda was holding out a pair of red track-pants which you took with a smile.
A second later Nat threw the shirt at you with a laugh as it landed on your head. You pulled it off and glared at her.
“You’re a menace.” You declared and Wanda hid a giggle behind her hand.
“Sure thing sweet cheeks.” Nat said rolling her eyes. “Now it’s bed time kiddo.” She said and motioned for wanda to leave as well.
“Im not a kid Romanoff.” You said and she smirked at the use of her last name, having been able to get under your skin successfully.
Wanda cuffed Nat but she ducked and took off down the hall. Wanda rolled her eyes and sighed. “Ignore her, she’s been drinking too much coffee lately.” Wanda said and bid you goodnight before retreating to capture the other redhead and force her to sleep.
You grinned at the shut door like a lovesick puppy before shaking yourself out of it. You changed into the clothes which smelt like them and made you feel safe.
Sliding under the sheets and getting comfy, you listened to the hallways to see if anyone was coming back. When you were met with silence, you reached over your backpack and pulled out a small white stuffed teddy.
Curling up with it under your arm, you buried your face in Nat’s shirt and fell asleep thinking of the two pretty redheads down the hall.
The next morning you were up bright and early. Having slept well for the first time in weeks.
You found your way to the communal kitchen just in time to run into Natasha who was coming back from early morning training in the compound gym.
“Hi Y/n/n.” Nat said smiling as she went to grab a bottle of cold water from the fridge.
“Morning Natty.” You said with a smile.
“You're in a good mood.” Nat said looking amused as she took a big swig from the water bottle in her hands.
“Yep.” You said popping the P.
“Do you know if Wanda’s up?” Nat asked and before you could respond someone else did for you.
“I’m up.” Wanda said entering the kitchen.
“Morning.” You smiled.
“Morning Y/n. Who wants breakfast?” Wanda asked gravitating to the pots and pans in the drawers beside you.
“I’ll have some.” You said with a smile as you took a seat by the counter.
“Put me down for some too, I’m just going to go and have a shower before breakfast then we can head out ok?” Nat said as she refilled the water bottle and put it back in the fridge.
“Sounds good.” Wanda said as she began pulling things out of the fridge.
“Umm… where are we going today?” You asked feeling a little lost. Nat had already taken her leave for a shower so it was just you and wanda now.
“Don’t tell me you forgot?” Wanda said looking amused.
“Forgot … what? … exactly?” You asked.
“The girls shopping trip?” Wanda said.
“Oh yeah!” You exclaimed sitting up a little taller in a way that made Wanda’s heart stutter.
“So… how did you sleep?” Wanda asked.
“I slept well, how ‘bout you?” You asked watching as wanda beat the pancake batter within and inch of its life.
“Good, good. It’s a bit hit and miss some nights but last night wasn’t too bad.” Wanda said vaguely as she turned around the pour the batter into the pan.
After Nat returned and the three of you had eaten what could only be described as the best pancakes known to man, you got ready and headed for the garage.
Pepper was meeting you at the shopping centre a bit later after she sorted out some stark industries meetings this morning.
“You ready?” Wanda said putting an arm around your shoulders. You jumped in surprise making Nat laugh and Wanda frown.
“Too busy daydreaming there, Parker?” Nat asked with a grin, and you glared at her.
“No, just planning your murder.” You said with a wink before blow if her a kiss that made Nat roll her eyes at you.
“Alright, enough you two.” Wanda said giving you a small shove before punching Nat in the arm.
“Get in.” Nat said opening a door for you to the backseat and waving her hand toward the car's interior.
“This feels personal.” You grumbled as the two redheads took the front seat.
“It is.” Nat grinned as the engine hummed to life. You were taking one of Tonys’ many fancy, and very expensive cars. Nat’s favourite was the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, but it was only two seats, so you were left with the choice of a Mercedes Mayback or a Ford Mustang both of which had four seats.
In the end Nat had opted for the mustang and the three of you had piled in to head off.
With Nat driving you must have arrived in record time; it was no secret the redheaded assassin was a speed demon and Tony had begun framing her speeding tickets in the garage on the wall. The government always came to her aid if the police ever tried to take her license as it was argued she needed it to quote “save New York”
Of course, you hadn’t known this before hand and had let out a small scream as Nat took off at breakneck speed out of the garage.
One very fast car trip later the three of you were stood by the door the mall waiting for pepper to join you.
It had barely been five minutes before the last redhead showed up. Pepper was actually on time; Nat’s driving had just made you all early.
As pepper walked over Nat decided to tease her a little.
“Picking up on Tony’s habits there, pep?” Nat asked.
“Oh please.” Pepper rolled her eyes. “I’m the only reason he’s even at any of his meetings at all. Without me he wouldn’t just be late, he’d be missing.” She said and Nat laughed.
“True.” The assassin nodded.
“Alright, lets do this.” Pepper said smiling at you and Wanda.
The four of you headed into the mall. It was a little crowded but nobody seemed to mind. You just crossed your fingers that your spider senses stayed in check.
Pepper had barely made it ten feet in the door before she was dragging Natasha into a very expensive looking boutique.
This was how you spent the next hour. Pepper and Wanda dragged you and Natasha around, stopping at every pretty dress shop and expensive looking store in the complex.
After about an hour you were beginning to nurse a small headache and the tingle in the back of your mind told you all you needed to know for what was going to happen.
Nat had just stopped at a rack nearby before pulling wanda over to her. Holding out a dress you saw Wanda’s lips moving as she nodded, and Nat took the dress and disappeared into the change rooms.
It was a tight red cocktail dress and when Nat came back out to show it off you swear your jaw unhinged and landed on the floor.
It hugged her in all the right places.
Wanda was too busy ogling Nat to notice your reaction but pepper snorted a laugh before covering her mouth.
Nat pouted.
“What? Does it not look good?” Nat asked and you shot pepper a pleading look but she just smiled.
“No … no. I’d just say its … jaw dropping.” Pepper said winking at you as you glared at her with flushed cheeks.
“Yeah?” Nat asked raising an eyebrow and shooting you a look. “Then I guess I’ll have to get it then won’t i?” Nat said and you nodded eagerly. “Your lucky your cute Detka.” She said as she brushed past you on her way back to the change room. “Because your drooling.” She whispered in your ear and your blush darkened a good two shades of crimson.
Your headache was still getting worse and about a half hour later it was almost reaching full force.
You had found a dress and Nat was carrying four bags, one with a dress for you and her and the other three had a few random pieces of clothing for your day to day wardrobe and some room décor.
Just as you were beginning to think you wouldn’t be able to take anymore Wanda suggested the four of you get lunch from the café downstairs.
By now you were surprised none of them had noticed your discomfort, despite trying to hide it it was still bothering you.
The fluorescent strip lights that lit the mall were too bright and seemed to be burning your retinas with each blink.
The noise level despite not exceeding regular mall noise levels was almost deafening in your sensitive ears.
Even the mixed smells of fast food and perfumes was making your head swim.
Your headache pounded behind your eyes as well as almost throughout your full skull. There was a buzzing in your ears that sounded like the electricity in the walls that simply wouldn’t shut up.
Your stomach was rolling from the mixed smells and it was just too loud and too bright.
As you slid into the booth next to Nat, with wanda and pepper on the other side facing you, you resisted the urge to crawl under the table and cry.
Your headache thundered in your ears and pounded on your skull.
Your headache was in full force and Pepper must have noticed how quiet you were being as she looked you over with a knowing gaze.
She took note of your pinched brow and slightly sweaty forehead, how you were biting down on your lip and squinting. As well as how you flinched as someone in the café banged their cutlery against their plate.
Wanda noticed peppers look and was now looking at you too with a frown which drew Natasha’s eyes to you as well.
The conversation had reached a lull as all three women studied you. You were too zoned out to notice their attention all being on you.
“Y/n?” Wanda asked slowly.
“Yeah?” You said looking up and sounding absolutely wreaked.
“Are you ok?” Wanda said looking slightly worried.
“Yeah. I’m fine.” You said not even believing your own words. Your voice was lathered in a tired tone. You shook your head while saying this only managing to anger your headache more as you winced and brought a hand to your head, squeezing your eyes shut tight.
Feeling nauseous you leant on nat and rested you head on her shoulder. Nat seemed almost surprised at your sudden desire for contact.
She held you close to her as your body relaxed into her side having no more energy to hold yourself up.
“Y/n?” Pepper asked softly.
“Mmm?” You hummed as you vaguely heard shuffling before you sensed someone close to you.
Opening an eye slightly you saw pepper crouching next to you.
“Y/n?” she asked softly. “Do you get the same thing peter does honey?” Her voice stayed low and quiet. You turned your face into Nat’s neck and weighed up your options before giving a small nod.
You miss the frown that adorns Wanda’s lips at the news that something was wrong and pepper seemed to know what it was despite you never having mentioned anything about this.
Pepper stood again and looked over at Nat and Wanda.
“She’ll be alright. Just stay here and I’ll be back. I’ll explain in a minute.” Pepper said and she took off in a brisk walk to a nearby shop.
After pepper had darted off she wove through the crowd and into a tech store, making a purchase before making one more stop and then hightailing it back to the café.
When she returned you’s seemingly not moved an inch while Wanda and Nat were talking in hushed tones. Nat had her arm around you and was holdin the back of your head into her neck as you seemed to be almost trembling from all the overstimulation.
When pepper came back Wanda sat a little straighter while Nat eyes the two new shopping bags pepper was carrying.
Pepper came to crouch beside you giving you a small nudge that set your skin on fire.
“Y/n?” She asked softly. “Can you look at me honey, you can keep your eyes shut, I promise these will help.” She said coaxing you out of Nat’s neck.
You faced her with your eyes squeezed shut as she slid a black pair of noise cancelling headphones over your ears and switching them on.
The blissful sound of quiet almost made you cry as your headache lessened. A moment later you felt pepper place something on your face before cautiously opening one eye to find the world dimmer and more tolerable.
Now decked out with the headphones and sunglasses you felt a lot better. You were exhausted and the headache was still present just less intense.
You watched as Wanda, Nat and Pepper conversed, the sound not reaching you. Pepper seemed to be explaining what was happening to them based off the sad look wanda gave you.
Pepper explained that your powers increased your senses, and that in the right conditions they were very helpful in fights. But were more than problematic in a domestic setting. She explained that it wasn’t unheard of for peter to get overstimulated when out or somewhere loud. She went on to tell them she recognised the look peter had when he tried to simple tough it out when they went out.
Wanda felt awful that your powers had caused you pain.
Nat however was already planning to talk to tony about getting something built to help.
Once pepper had explained the extent of the issue and some of the things that helped, the three seemed to change gears, looking to be making plans now instead.
After they had finished talking Pepper decided to try something.
She turned to face you and moved her hands to form some simple signs. Your face lit up in recognition.
*How are you feeling? * Pepper signed.
*tired* you signed back.
Nat and Wanda looked surprised.
“How did you know she knew sign?” Wanda asked.
“Peter seemed to know some when he first was with us.” Pepper explained. “I assumed Y/n might also know some if peter did.”
You could tell what they had asked. “My dad was hard of hearing. He taught us sign at a young age before … he died.” You said and pepper nodded.
*We are going to go home* pepper signed but you shook your head.
*you stay here, I’ll go. I don’t want to ruin things* you signed.
*nonsense* pepper signed and you knew based off Nat’s eyes she was following along.
Nat had learnt sign language from Clint in the academy when they were partners. Clint had insisted in case his hearing aid were ever damaged in a fight.
You sighed realising you weren’t going to win this one.
*ok* you signed and hesitated for a moment before continuing. *thank you*. You signed.
*your welcome* pepper signed back and Wanda offered her hand to you.
Holding Wanda’s hand, the four of you headed for the car park.
You felt bad for ruining the trip, but Nat shot you a look when she saw you getting lost in your head that banished all thoughts.
Once you were in the car, Wanda had insisted on driving. Nat was riding with pepper to try and find out more about what was going on. You kept the headphones and sunnies on the whole ride home as you zoned out slightly.
Wanda droves slowly so she didn’t throw you around while Pepper and Nat sped back to try and organise things for when you get back.
When you arrived, you were almost asleep leaning into the passenger door.
Wanda coaxed you out of the car and led you by the hand up the lift and down the hall to her room.
You were beyond exhausted as Wanda lifted the sheets and got you settled under the thick comforter.
She ordered Jarvis to dim the lights and soundproof the room. She thanked Tony for the added features in her mind as she felt you snuggle into her side.
A few moments later the door opened slightly to reveal Nat and Pepper peaking in.
“Is she asleep?” Nat asked and Wanda studied your breathing.
“Not yet.” Wanda responded.
“Well we have some pain meds for her.” Pepper said as they both came inside and handed wanda a glass of water.
After coaxing you into taking some medicine, you laid back down against Wanda was was massaging your head as you melted in her lap.
Pepper and Nat had dropped by Bruces lab to pick up peters pain meds for you before coming to Wanda’s room where Jarvis said they could find you.
You fell asleep not long after taking the medicine which had finally gotten rid of your headache.
