What Digimon do you think Billy would have?

Oh my gosh this is such a fun question!

I don't know if you know this, but I was such a Digimon kid growing up! It was one of my first ever fandoms (and I am actually in the process of writing a digimon fic right now!)

So back to Billy. There are so many good options, it's hard to pick just one, but I think Wizardmon would be a good partner for him!

I just think they would mesh really well together. between his magic and his strong sense of loyalty to his friends, I think the two of them would be great (though they both have self-sacrificial tendencies, but hopefully they can keep each other safe)

Was it also a little bit because his name is Wizardmon and Billy is connected to a wizard already? Yes, but that doesn't mean they don't fit well together.

If anyone else has any thoughts on possible digimon partners for Billy (or other Marvel family members) feel free to add on!

I watched some of the DCAU 'Batman: Death in the family' while reading the B:DITF comic and tbh I don't really like the DCAU version. like I get their different stories but why not just have the Sheila plot point? Idk I just feel like I'm connecting more with comic Jason, he was just a kid who wanted to see his mother and she betrayed him. in the DCAU it's kinda like their saying 'ah well thats what you get for running off should listened'

What themes George used with Rhaenyra and Aegon in the book?

the main theme for both of them, like in most of FB, is kingship, so what makes a "good" king/queen, what is power in the first place, how do you receive it, how to wield it etc. add to that the theme of hubris - house targaryen cannibalizing itself and sowing the seeds for its future destruction. and, also, the theme that follows through the entirety of the series - corruption - power as a means to its own ends, not for the betterment of society - “why is it always the innocents who suffer most, when you high lords play your game of thrones?”

when asked the question put to shireen, "who would you prefer, aegon or rhaenyra?", you should be going "oh, well, on the one hand this, on the other hand that" and it should lead to a debate on political structures and how societies are organized and how laws are enacted in society and what is the nature of law anyway etc. instead the show turned it into "rhaenyra obviously bc aegon is a literal danger to society".

so when people say that aegon should be even darker bc this is game of thrones and everyone is mean and dark and awful so stop being a crybaby about it, like, ok, but there is a limit as to how far you can push this without sacrificing the balance of this story.

bc this is not the kind of story in which maegor reborn kills saint rhaenyra and does her this great injustice of erasing her queenship from the history books. not that it's a moralistic children's tale either, but, if the lopsidedness between them would have skewed so much in rhaenyra's favour, she would have received a more heroic death or died on her own terms at least

tonight in my dream it was valentine's day and somebody set me and a person I don't know irl but had a crush on in this dream (and who had a crush on me in the dream!) up on a blind date, but went about it in a scavenger hunt kind of way? Like we were at a hotel and both started out in the lobby, then got different hints and had to find more hints in the hotel until we got to the room where our date was supposed to happen. UNFORTUNATELY I'm terrible at directions & a coward, so it took me a really long time to find the right places and then sometimes it would lead to a room that said "Staff Only", so I was worried I'd gotten something wrong and wouldn't go in until an employee took pity on me and told me I was in front of the right room (bc apparently some employees were in on it too). 😭 ANYWAY at some point I made it to the last room and my date was smarter (and therefore faster) than me and had to wait for me for a pretty long time and was kind of annoyed that I took so long... 🙁 and right before the actual date could start I woke up, rip
