There's something I've been thinking quite a lot since i saw a post here on tumblr (can't find the link tho)
And maybe I've been approaching witchcraft all wrong.
I want to be good at everything and learn everything at the same time
But obviously that's not possible, to know every correspondence, every herb, every astral thing, mercury gatorade in a square with the sun and whatever planet, every day of the week correspondence.
And it's this thought is what has been making me feel overwhelmed and makes me drop things everytime
And i dont need to know everything. I can focus only on what i want and feel inclined to, like potions, herbs and divination and thats fine.
Of course i need to know basics of somethings, like protection a banishments but not an expert in everything.
And that realization has taken a lot off of my shoulders, and i hope this insight helps someone with similar issues.

I feel Her every call
When I was still young and oblivious about other religions, the name Hekate stood up in a book among many others, I could never forget Her ever since
In 2019 when I hit rock bottom and nothing could offer me the comfort I so desperately needed, She lighted up my way toward the first steps in the Art
In 2020 she gifted my beloved tool with which I'd start gathering courage to make my first spells
In 2021 I knew She was there when I gave up my vicious job to pursue my dream
And this year I can feel Her again, calling for action, it's time to finally chase my purpose, dive into books and officially start my witchcraft journey.
She gave me strength so I could hold others in a difficult time, She offered me opportunities so I could deepen my intuition, Her torches are guiding me towards Her path so She can handcraft my life to Her plan
It was Her, every time the moon would keep me company in the car during any little travel, it was Her keeping my believes in Magic from childhood until now so strong.
Every time, when I was still a toddler questioning my mom about her god and being reprehended, in every nap I took during masses in the church, the books I'd sneak into religious classes to avoid the bible, the feeling that I'd never fit among my people no matter how hard I tried.
It was the things that I bought and never got to use, all ready to go whenever She'd call me. The black notebook that was gathering dust in my drawer that now I'm adorning to be my Shadow Book; the crystals and shells that came to me one way or another and I never had the courage to throw them away; the stack of books I got to download but only read so far.
Everything leading to this moment of awakening, this adrenaline to gather all the knowledge I can, my creativity tingling to come up with tarot reading structures, spells, prayers and even the will to shout to the world about Her and Her power even knowing they will not accept my decision.
My heart's filled to the brim with her light and our journey is still just beginning. ✨

PILE 1:
How is the eclipse affecting you?
I immediately heard 'they don't really care about what others think anymore.' I'm getting that this eclipse really helped you step back into your authenticity in a powerful way. You might've had to revise and purge old wounds that had their roots in childhood. Any addictions of yours (if you have/had any) have been addressed because of this grand 'purging of the old and unwanted.' It's like your defense mechanisms have taken a backseat because of your inner work around the root of your addictions (maybe your addictions were part of your defense mechanisms). You might've had to live with a certain darkness looming in the background, no matter what you did in your life or where you went in life, and it seems like you've really had to look the root of this darkness in the eye. The eclipse didn't really give you an option; you simply had to. Let's talk about this darkness a little, shall we? It seems to me like you had a stark lack of a healthy masculine figure as well as a lack of a healthy feminine figure in your life. You didn't have much support as a result of this, you to felt or still sre felling disempowered in your life as a whole. THIS is what the eclipse helped you to wake up to. Through the chaos that you're experiencing right now, you'll find exactly what you need to nurture yourself (maybe for the first time ever, for some of you). I feel like you guys might end up tending to the health of your root chakra as a result of this inner work.
Your guide to getting through it like a soldier-
-Care for your anxiety. By that, I simply mean don't deny or suppress your anxiety; see where it's coming from, feel into it, and really sit in it because what you feel, you heal.
-Use EFT (emotional freedom techniques) to help yourself really sit in difficult emotions and/or anxiety.
-ALONE TIME is a need!
-Find ways to 'throw up' emotionally. Like, for example, have a hardcore dance session by yourself at 3 am to angry songs if you have been feeling angry lately. OR you could write all your emotions down onto a paper and tear that paper up and then have a big cry session. Whatever allows you to FEEL your emotions, go do it.
-After your heavy 'purge sessions,' seek things that bring you comfort. Indulge in some TLC if and when you can 😊

As soon as I tapped into your energy, I felt extremely light and airy, as if I turned into a cloud of cotton candy floating away into a bright blue sky. Wow, this tells me one very CLEAR thing - you've done your inner work diligently this eclipse season! You've taken the eclipse energies on actively and worked WITH it, absolutely in sync with the universe. Now all that's left for you is welcoming a brand new energy into your life.
How can you do exactly that?
-Actively schedule in things that bring you joy ✨️
-Every now and then when you feel like heavy emotions are rising to the surface, allow them to pass. Let your emotional intelligence shine, sweetheart.
-After you've felt your emotions, it's time to take care of you! TLC all the way, baby. Think long bubble baths, move slower than usual, enjoy yummy foods, wrap yourself in your favorite blankie. Drink some soul-healing soup. You get the vibe.
-Ground yourself. Listen to grounding frequencies whenever you feel like your thoughts carry you away.
-Mother yourself. By that, I simply mean - feed yourself well, allow yourself a consistent sleep cycle, find ways to make your life easier, support yourself in whatever little ways you can 😊

How is the eclipse affecting you?
You're going to have a 'real awakening' this eclipse season 😬 So, apparently, you've been going through your life blissfully unaware of your wounds and how they were blocking you from living a far better life. You operated under the impression that your life as it is right now was good just the way it is and honestly… a reflection of your full potential. But you couldn't possibly be further from the truth. It's like this eclipse was a rude awakening for you to realize just how limited of a life you were leading. Must've been a difficult thing to process? Yes? Since your old cycles have been blowing up in your face lately, you've been in a process of empowering yourself and are slowly opening up to new aspects of yourself that you previously weren't aware existed, the parts of you that are deeply emotional and intuitive. Doing this will really boost your strength and resilience in general. But there's some good news I have for you. You're on your way to feeling much more satisfied in your life, sprinkled in with great relationships all around you. It's like you're headed to a more aligned life. It's beautiful to be honest. It's obviously going to come after this intense period of awakening ripples out into a plateau though after a period of internal discomfort.
So, how can you survive this period to get to where you wanna be?
-Slow. Tf. down. Take your breaks and pace yourself. Easier said than done but pacing yourself will really help you through the chaotic energy floating around right now. Walk slower than usual, eat slower than usual, stare up at the sky and daydream when you're on a bus or something. Do romantic stuff (not necessarily with a partner, simply for yourself).
-Take some time on a regular basis to tune into your emotions. Learn how to feel again. It's really important for you right now and also doing this will greatly expedite your journey as well
-Replace some of your social time with alone time. Use it to reflect on yourself (this might feel way out of your comfort zone by the way).
-Do abundance affirmations (or all areas of life) and affirmations for forward movement.
-listen to subliminals that bring you a sense of abundance in all areas of your life.
-Find ways to feel active in your own life. Dabble in main character (MC) energy. See what it means for you.

I've been so stressed out this past couple of weeks and ive been feeling so weirdly heavy
While getting on the shower i remembered that i had a salt+Arruda soap (a herb here in Brazil known to banish the Evil Eye and basicaly anything bad you've got on you)
I feel lighter than I've ever been in a long time
Sometimes you just have to take a shower with a lil folk magick on the side

~ 🌷 Witchy things you can do to honour yourself, your craft and your deities! 🌷 ~
~ 🌷 This will be a long post! 🌷 ~
- Spend time in nature (go hiking, meditate outdoors, collect some river water, make some sun water, plant something etc)
- Interact with your pets (example, dogs are often associated with Hekate so you could play with them or take them on a walk etc.)
- Donate to a shelter or charity in the name of your deity.
- Create a protection charm to add to your dog or cat’s collar. Our companions need protection sometimes too!
- Do your self-care as an act of devotion to yourself and your deity (you could do your skincare as devotion for Aphrodite for example.)
- Have a cleansing bath or shower. You can create a pouch full of cleansing and protective herbs to use.
- Make a piece of artwork for your deities. It could be a painting, clay vase, etc.
- Make a playlist of songs that give you positive energy or remind you of your deity.
- Make a journal or scrapbook about the things you love about your craft to remind you why you are practising.
- Do a daily card pull in the morning. This can be to see how your day will go or what you should be focusing on etc.
- Stir intentions into your drink in a morning (anti-clockwise to remove negativity, clockwise to bring in positivity. You can also say what you wish to manifest for that particular day. You may need an extra boost of inspiration for example.)
- Do some spell work with your deity. Ask them to give you aid with it or to protect you whilst you are doing it.
- Consider enchanting an item. It could be jewellery, a plant, a decorative item in your home etc.(If you would all like, I can make a post of how I personally like to enchant objects.)
- Tidy up your home. This one may seem a bit odd but please read my explanation as to why it is important to take care of your home. Different rooms in your home can be associated with different parts of your life. If you want to manifest something in part of your life, You need to take care of your home in order for your manifestation to work. Your kitchen is connected to your health and health of your household. Your bathroom is connected to your finances and the flow of finances in your household. Your bedroom is connected to the happiness and prosperity of your romantic relationships. Your living room is connected to your relationships with your friends and family.
- Learn how to read candles. Candles are commonly used as an offering to deities and for manifestation workings but sometimes you can have other entities trying to communicate with you via the candle flame. I personally have had ancestors messing about with candles, Not just deities.
- Use colour magick associations when picking out your outfit for the day. For example black is most commonly used as a protection colour.

Spirituality and Psychosis
Hello! I am a person who experiences hallucinations, but I also have a healthy spiritual life. This may raise the question: how do I differentiate actual signs and communication from the gods and other spiritual beings from hallucinations and delusions?
Here are a few rules I have established that may be useful for other people who struggle with this sort of thing:
~ gods do not take physical forms. they will not appear in your room or in your mirror. they also will not squeeze your hand or call your name
~ gods communicate using their specific symbols and signs (example: i notice the sun in my eyes a lot more often when apollo has something to say)
~ other than that, you should only communicate with your gods through some form of divination that you trust, whether that be tarot, dreams, throwing stones, runes, or anything else you like. be careful with scrying if you have visual hallucinations.
~ on the note of prayer, if your thoughts are sometimes so loud that you can't think properly, you may want to get a prayer journal. either a physical notebook, scraps of paper, your notes app, a google doc, or even a discord server with nobody in it. i especially like that method because it is private, you can access it anywhere on any device, you can make a channel for each deity, and you can look back on your past prayers.
~ your gods will not hurt you. they do not want to hurt or punish you. they will not leave bruises on your body or try to make you feel afraid or paranoid. if you are seeing things in the corners of your vision or feeling watched, it is not them. i recommend talking to a doctor/psychologist first, then maybe using some protection magic as an extra measure if it will make you feel more comfortable.

Six Grounding Exercises
1. Tree Yourself.
Being ungrounded happens when you are out-of-balance. When energy is blocked, you are unable to access the support of the earth and the higher awareness of your spirit.
A simple grounding exercise involves the visualization of yourself as a tree. First, close your eyes. Next, visualize roots growing out from your feet. “Extend” these roots through the ground and going all the way down. Anchor them at the center of the earth.
2. Meditation.
Meditation helps bring about awareness. You notice the subtle energy changes within your body. You know if you are out-of-sync or if you have become ungrounded.
Practicing body awareness or moving meditations is helpful.
You bring your awareness into the now, rather than the past or the future.
You are aware of your physical existence even while increasing your spirituality.
If you are grounded, you are conscious of yourself and your current surroundings.
You don’t have to spend hours doing meditation. In fact, just half an hour a day is enough to expand your awareness.
3. Get Physical.
Physical activity helps to remove any accumulated toxic energy in your aura. When you shift your energy from an overloaded mental focus to a physical one, you can clear away any mental debris. Getting connected through physical activity does not necessarily mean that you must join a gym. All it means is to allow your mind a chance to take a break.
4. Nature.
Going out by the ocean or just being in nature is a wonderful way to revitalize. Working with soil or clay helps in grounding. Simply touching the earth helps. Gardening is a wonderful grounding activity as it reconnects you with nature.
5. Grounding Foods.
According to Ayurvedic Medicine, there are grounding foods that you can eat, and it suggests Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Ginger, Avocado, Mango, Papaya, Grapes, Olives, Berries, Coconuts, Figs, Melons, Green Beans, Egg Plant, or Yams.
For flavoring your food, use warming spices such as ginger, nutmeg, garlic, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and cloves. A dash or two of fennel and/or sea salt also works.
6. Grounding Crystals.
Obsidian
Black Tourmaline
Smoky Quartz
Jet
Blue Kyanite
Simply hold the crystal in your hands, and visualize any unwanted energies flowing outward, and into the crystal itself. Occasionally, you will need to cleanse the crystal by putting it on the soil of the earth to drain and clear it of any negative charges.
