“No,” Yang says, slapping an open palm against the table in unconscious mimicry of his father when he wants to drive home a point. “No. No more wedding talk. Not today. I beg you.”

They’re out on the back gazebo, crowded together around a rickety metal table Yang and Tian have dragged up the steps. Mei and Fu have been put to bed, and the older generation has settled into bedrooms and offices and parlors for the evening. The night air is fresh with the smell of recent rain, and the moon is nearly full. There’s a small bottle of baijiu and a pot of chrysanthemum tea on the table, which wobbles anytime someone picks up a cup and threatens to overturn when Yang slaps it. Tian sighs at him and gets down on his hands and knees, pulling a handkerchief out of his pocket to try to balance the legs.

“You’ll ruin your pants,” Pin warns. Jiu looks alarmed and drops down next to Tian; one of his guiding principles is that Tian should never be put out in any way and also that Tian should not be allowed anywhere near a home-repair project, no matter how minor.

In all my world of fic writing, I've never thought to make a tumblr account for it. I have three different wattpad accounts. And an AO3 account. I keep my writing for each fandom separate so for example; one wattpad account is where I used to write bandfics for what me and my friends call the "warped tour era". So for ATL, PTV, SWS, etc. that's where I'd upload those, but god I haven't logged in, in probably over 10 years. Another wattpad account and my ao3 account is for my Dramione fics, I'm a huge HP fan. No one will ever beat my dramione ship lol. I do have a third wattpad account under the same username as here, and I did intend to eventually upload fics on there, but idk. However, I like the community on tumblr better. In addition to writing for 14 years, I've had tumblr for 15 years. I've seen this damn website through thick and thin dammit.

Q: Why is the "Nimona" movie so important?

Well, I really think that we are living in a time where the conversation about real people's lives and their safety and a community's entire longevity, particularly within the queer umbrella, there's a lot at stake.

And I mean that in a way where people are refusing to have the next step in understanding someone who might disagree with them.

My whole life has been taking the extra steps to outreach to bring someone, to build the foundation to have a common understanding. Or at the very least, so that that group doesn't want my group to be eliminated or erased.

And having films especially like "Nimona," where it can speak to this idea of effortlessly portraying characters who inhabit those communities. But are also fully realized. (...)

It's just an honest story. And it's full of like wonderful character, heart and insight and dynamics that feel like they could be both a part of anyone's experience, but specifically really a part of my experience as a queer person.

very excited about this pin design!! tried to represent the stsg fishes from s2’s ED as yin yang: portraying gj’s with the sky and mountains and all things bright, then trickling down into the river and falling leaves into the death of spring — to represent gt’s descent into darkness. and just like yin & yang, together, they balance each other out.
