It was around the time the Raiden Shogun declared the vision hunting decree, and right after Kazuha's dear friend Tomo passed trying to withsand the musou no hitotachi.

You were away for training with your teacher. And as you walked home you heard of the commotion on the streets

"That guy died from the Shogun's strike" "what was he thinking?! He is obviously no match for the Shogun"

Hearing all of the whispers made you a little worried. And something told you that it was terrible news. What if that was someone you knew personally?

Assuring yourself that it's probably just some stupid samurai off the streets is what you did. Trying to block out all the whisperd and worries of the city folk.

Until you heard his name from a group of people talking about what just happened. "...Kaedehara...."

Your boyfriend who you haven't seen since this morning. You stopped on your tracks and turned around hoping you heard that wrong.

"What did you say?"

"Pardon?" The person asked.

"The name." You repeated "the name you mentioned before, what was it again?"

"Kaedehara. Kaedehara Kazuha?" The person said confused by your expression growing more and more distraught by the second

"What happened to him? Did he..." you couldnt even get yourself to finish that sentence. You didnt want to believe that HE was the one who challenged the Raiden Shogun

"No dont worry (miss/sir) it's not him who died. Its another guy, but Kaedehara was seen on the scene taking the dead vision and running off. From what I've heard he's running away right now"

Without wasting another second you booked it to the nearest port. You had no idea if he was going to be there as he escaped but it's worth the shot anyways.

Panting and gasping through the bamboo forest while thinking about the fate of your boyfriend isn't the best combination.

"What if he got caught?" "What if he already left?" "What if that stranger was mistaken?" The what if questions were not helping you at all.

So all you did was to hope. Hope that he is still alive, hope that he is still in Inazuma

Your legs were killing you and your lungs feel like they're about to explode if you don't stop running. But you can't

You need to see Kazuha.

As if the Archon's heard your prayers, all of a sudden you hear a guard shouting in a distance "Kaedehara Kazuha you're under arrest under the vision hunting decree!"

"It's him! He's still here!" Relieved he hasn't made it out of Inazuma yet, you started running even faster to the scene.

When you got there you saw Kazuha fighting a bunch of the Shogun's guards left and right. "Kazuha!" You shouted out in relief, as you drew out your katana (sword) and began helping him fight.

You bear no vision, but the adrenaline was pumping into your veins you didnt give a second thought and dove into the fight.

"(Name)??" Kazuha turned around to look at you for a split second. Honestly if it werent for the current condition youre both in, he'd hug you real tight

"How did you find me?" He asked before turning his head around and defend himself from the guards.

"I heard from the city folks hat you ran away after a man died from the musou no hitotachi" you responded, blocking a strike from another guard.

He made a mental note to explain to you the story after the fight is over.

Speaking of which, the fight lasted for quite sometime until all of the shogun's minions were down.

You turned around and hugged Kazuha, throwing your weapon onto the ground.

"I'm so glad youre safe Kaz" you burried your bead into his shoulder, still panting from all that fighting, adrenaline and running.

Kazuha was panting as well, hugging you tighter like never before and kissed your forehead softly "Me too (name), I'm so sorry I didn't come to you sooner and told you anything. Everything happened so fast, I had to leave before I got caught."

You pulled away from the hug and smiled at him softly, your breathing becoming more stable after a while "That's alright, I found you just in time-"

Something was moving behind Kazuha and you couldn't make it what it was until you could.

It was the Shogun's guard again, with a bow and arrow... aimed at Kazuha's back. Your heart dropped

before the guard should release the arrow you pushed Kazuha away and took the hit.

The arrow ended up piercing your shoulder which earned a shout from you. It hurted like hell and blood started flowing out of your shoulder by the minute.

At first you felt dizzy from the blood loss and then everything went dark. You were going in and out, Before you blacked out completely, the first time you saw Kazuha charging up to the guard and fought him. The next time you saw him picking you up bridal style

And the last thing you heard was " (name) Don't you dare leave me!"

The first thing you saw when you woke up was a wooden ceiling above you. "Where am I?" You sat up and hissed from the pain on your shoulder. You took a look at thr soirce of the pain and to your surprise, the wounded area had been wrapped with a compression bandage.

Looking around at the area you realised you ended up on a ship. But how?

Before you could ask more questions, the door in front of you opened, and standing there was Kazuha. The man saw that you were awake and sped walk towards you.

"You're awake! Thank goodness. Don't worry everythings alright. We're on a ship of a pirate captain from Liyue and she got her crew to help stop the bleeding on your shoulder."

Ah, he basically just answered the questions that were popping up in your head. "Looks like we'll have to thank this pirate captain for her hospitality"

You looked at the current condition of your lover. His shoulders were tense and his lips forced into a small smile.

You could tell it was so that you wouldn't be alarmed. And you could tell he was still shaken up by the stunt you pulled earlier.

"I'm sorry my love, for scaring you like that." Placing your hand on his shoulder, then slowly making your way up to his cheek. "I'm safe, youre safe. That's all that matters."

You could see his eyes softening and his shoulders becoming less tense

"Youre right... youre right. You just got me worried back there. I was afraid I might lose you too." He whispered softly, cupping his hand over your hand.

Subconciously he gripped your hand hard enough to make you notice but not hard enough to hurt you.

He didn't have to elaborate any further for you to realise that his dear friend was the one who died.

"I won't leave you here alone dear. That's a promise." pulling him into a hug, which he reciprocated quickly

"What now?" Is a question you both will figure out later.

Right now, the only thing that matters is the two of you.

SCARAMOUCHE/ KUNIKUZUSHI ¤ The Balladeer

Being the Balladeer's assistant was no easy job

Literally.

Having to deal with his yelling, degration, mocks, (tantrums) and bad temper required patience. Lots of it

But no matter how many times he left you out in the snow to freeze, or mocked you in front of everyone, you stayed by him. Honestly no one understood how and why (and neither did Scara but he would never question it)

Partially because the pay is good (the harbingers decided to pay you extra because youre dealing with Scaramouche), partially because you don't get treated as half as bad as his subordinates and because sometimes he isn't so bad in general.

What I mean by "not so bad" is that sometimes, barely, but once in a blue moon. He shows that he cares and appreciates your help and loyalty.

When he was sent out on a mission to Inazuma, you couldn't come to help him due to unfortunate circumstances. He was pissed to say the least

surprisingly not at you but at the higher ups for not allowing you, his assistant to come

he brought you a souvenier from Inazuma. Nothing much and nothing grand, but it is something from your boss so you treasure it.

Another time you got sick with the flu, at first he was pissed (when is he not 💀🖕) but then at night, he came over to give you some soup

By the Balladeer's words it is to "Make you get better soon so you can work again. I can't manage all this shit by myself"

Which you translated it to "I miss your company and I need your help with my tasks"

Either way you appreciated his kindness.

Scaramouche and you were sent out on a mission together to the chasm. Usually they wouldn't send the harbingers down there, but an important relic from an unknown lost civilization was found, and the fatui wants to study it.

As the 2 of you were down there, all you (other than trying to find the relic) did was listen to his occasional rants and curses to the other harbingers for sending him on this mission.

"Annoyed as always" you rolled your eyes.

When the relic was found and secured safely, the two of you nodded at each other as a sign that you both should head out as soon as possible

Luckily Scaramouche and you didn't run into any enemies which was....

"Strange" you mumbled to yourself, brows furrowed and eyeing the caves

"What is?" taking a glance behind to look at you as he was right in front of you

"It's just that we haven't bumped into any monsters or enemies during our time here." You started

"There's always enemies down here at the chasm"

Scaramouche shrugged at you "Maybe theyre taking a nice long nap, or maybe they know their place and not to mess with us." He was half sarcastic and half serious. Either way, he wasn't bothered by this at all

You nodded at him. Not necessarily because you agree with him

But mainly because you're quite unsettled about the whole situation to the point where you'd just hope he was right

Something must be wrong with the universe because not long after, a mob of hillichurls showed up

Scaramouche groaned, getting ready to fight "Great you jinxed it."

They were just a bunch of hillichurls so it really didn't take long for Scara to handle it while you guard the relic

"Let's just get out of here before I have to deal with those i-" before your boss could finish his sentence an abyss herald showed up

When it showed up, you drew out your weapon getting ready to fight. He was no easy foe and even if you knew Scara could handle it...

Something was telling you thing's were about to go south.

You and him started fighting the Abyss enemy

Scara with his electro powers and you with your (vision of choice)

"Hey (name) fuck off I can handle this myself you know?!" He shouted at you

"No you can't Scaramouche!" You retaliated, not listening to another word he says because you were getting more and more pissed by his antics "Just shut up and let me help!"

With the way you disobeyed his orders AND talk back at him got him taken aback and angry at you

"Why this little bitch!" He wanted to say

Scara just gave the abyss herald an opening to launch an attack at him

"Scara watch out!" Luckily you saw right on time and threw yourself in front of Scara to protect him

The attack was so bad you started coughing out blood from the impact. Everything started to become blurry and you lost your balance and strength, dropping your weapon in the process

Before you blacked out you heard Scara scream out something you couldn't quite make out and then... total darkness.

"Don't you dare leave me here!" Echoed in your mind before you awoke in a bed in a strange place. This wasn't Snezhnaya and you know it.

"Where am I? And who said that sentence when I was asleep?" You asked yourself, slowly sitting up from the bed with a groan.

The door on your right opened and in came your boss

"Scara..!" You managed to say. Your voice came out soft and sort of like a wheeze. The impact of the attack seemed to affect your ability to talk as well

"Shh. Don't talk. The doctor said your vocal cord needs rest." Making his way to your bed, and sat by the edge

You closed your mouth but it was clear you had many questions. Scara frowed a little but started answering the questions he knows you'll anyways

"We're still in Liyue. I managed to carry you out of the chasm and the relic I handed off to some fatui members I saw on the way to the doctor.... and you've been out for 3 days now. I was..." he paused and looked away

"Starting to get worried." You didn't have to see his face to know that his expression softened.

Now it all makes sense, you now know what Scara said before you blacked out.

"Don't you dare leave me here!" It was also the sentence that echoed in your mind while you were asleep.

You knew long ago that the all so scary Balladeer had developed feelings for you. It was the little things he did for you that made you question but today, this whole incident made it clear to you that the 6th Fatui Harbinger harbours feelings for his assistant.

You did as well of course. Even though he was a pain in the ass sometimes, it feels as if no one understand you more than he does, and likewise.

Scooting closer to the harbinger, you brought your hand up to his cheek and made him face you.

He saw your expression and even though you said nothing, he knew what you meant. "I'm not leaving you here."

You both slowly moved closer and kissed each other, removing all the tension in the balladeers shoulder.

🔮 - PROPHECY...

i wouldn't say i have a special role, per se, but everyone knows me as either the librarian or the substitute teacher in our town. eventually, once i start helping simon with the case he keeps coming back to the library for, the town starts to see me in a different light. so i'm not sure if i have a special role or purpose, but i try my best to help as much as i can!

🛍️ - TREAT YOURSELF...

the coolest thing i own is definitely the family piano. it's been passed down from generation to generation, and in our town, it was initially used by my great grandmother who was a famous musician in her time. she collaborated with many legends, and we even have some signatures on the lid! some of the keys still have faded labels on them from when i was learning how to play. as for the piano itself, it is a beautiful chestnut color with a glossy finish. very pretty! i play it often, and simon tries his best occasionally.

💔 - GHOST OF THE PAST...

the first thing that comes to mind is when my mom first told me she was leaving to live in another state. there was a hospital offering her a higher position than the one she had in our town, so she took that opportunity immediately. however, she told me (i was 19 around this time; just got my job at the library and i was enrolled in community college) that i would need to take care of the house and my sister. of course, she would send financial support, but i couldn't handle the fact that my mom, the sole figure i looked to for guidance and comfort, was leaving. in such a short time, as well.

after she left, the house didn't feel the same. aviva (my sister) seemed as if she was mostly fine, but she could tell i was feeling the pressure from the sudden shift in authority. but, we worked around it, and now we're closer than ever. now that i'm financially stable on my own, my relationship with my mom has weakened, mainly because she's so busy and, frankly, doesn't try to reach out as much as she claims. but we move!

💭 - UNWRITTEN PAGES...

holy shit. a chapter title? you would think i could come up with those, but if i'm being frank...i haven't titled a chapter since i was in fifth grade. erm. awkward! i can try though.

i think mine would be, "she's trying. she's succeeding. and finally, she's opening her eyes."

this dr is just a fun small town, but it's also a place where everyone already knows you. whether it's as the librarian that's all easy smiles and playful banter, or as the oldest sister of two who tries too hard just for no one to see her. when you get a new chance to prove yourself as someone who is worthy of being proud of, you take it. and that opportunity is simon asking me to help with his case.

i learn a lot of things, i make mistakes, but most of all, people see me. people see the woman i can be and what i can do for others. i finally feel as if i made an impact, and that i did something that benefits everyone. even if my mom doesn't see me, other people do. simon does. my friends do. aviva does. and at the end of my journey, i finally notice that. shit like that changes mindset, and it will in my dr!

they're sitting in my notes for so long i can't take it anymore

it's mostly silly stuff (*^ー^)ノ♪

- Kunikida doesn't really need glasses (given the amount of time he breaks them and does just fine, when i don't have my glasses i'm walking into walls) they're mainly for rest but he keeps them all the time bcs it makes him look cool

- you know that scene where he's showed as a teacher. it's atsushi imagining him. my hcs is he wasn't actually a highschool teacher but an elementary school part time teacher (or some kind of trainee which explain why he was already teaching at 19-20yo) and he came to give math and science classes. Because there is so many time where we see him being so sweet with kids (aya, that poor girl with the bombs, also in beast that boy he hugs after akutagawa scared him💔). He would be so nice even if he would be strict and would 100% make his students do magic coloring with multiplication and all.

- the fandom often pictures him as some goody two shoes or whatever. he really is not☠️ They mostly think that because he values discipline and excellence, which is only bcs their part of his ideals. He literally hates autority and he'll only follows the rules that goes along with his ideals. You know what that is. Anarchism!!!!

- everyday he waters the agency's plants being unaware they're all fake

- super strict with grammar in texts. he'll send shit like "Dear Atsushi, Can you please take out the trash? Love, Kunikida Doppo."

- during the episode that mention his ideal partner, when atsushi reads the list he seems super weirded out and embarassed, and he mentions a "drawing" Kunikida made, while Kunikida doesn't seem ashamed of it at all. so in my head he probably drew some stick figure with absurdly big boobs or smth. (i know the anime ruined Dazai Entrance Exam but i still like this idea it's funny.)

- sleeps with his notebook under his pillow and freaks out when he find it on the ground in the morning.

- reposts ai videos asking "did that really happen...?😰😮"

- he is autistic and his notebook is basically a list of his ocd

- he was bullied by ranpo when he was still a newbie (it's mentionned in Kunikida and katai magnificient day)

Ædith's dear little brother. He's kind of a piece of shit (think Messar or Sylvain) but he gets his act together when Ædith is arrested and helps her break out prison. He's playable from chapter 2-14, then he leaves the army and helps out Gail (his and Ædith's older sister) and works as a spy for Ædith.

Stella, Volkaire's assistant!

Stella is actually fairly similar to Ira in that she could end up going either way with the war, but ends up siding with Volkaire in the end. She's playable from chapter 2-14

Brandi!

You know her too! Lovely baker lady who joins the arm in chapter 6 and immediately captures Lewis' heart. Outside of supports, he'd flirt with her but it's only in their support line that they start dating and the issue of the marriage permit is brought up.

Lewis

Soldier in the Odedan army and he's playable from chapter 2 to the very end! He's very polite but nervous, hardly even having the confidence to ask out Brandi until he gets encouragement from friends in the support line with Brandi. He's not as overtly ableist as in earlier versions, it's all just cause he doesn't know any better and he's incredibly supportive of Brandi when she tells him about her intrusive thoughts and anxiety.

Sigmund!!! My guy!!!

Guy in his 60s who is the commander of the Odedan army because he was born into the house that takes leadership of the military. He somewhat dislikes Volkaire and is very open minded, becoming a republican around the same time as Ira.

Flynn!

A young man from Odeda, but his family is Habadan. You didn't answer the Habad ask so I'll just summarize here. His grandmother is Jasmin, former teacher of Maurice. When she was arrested for treason, she escaped and returned to Habad while her family was forced into slavery. Flynn has been working on dragon farms since he was 6 and he resents Habad and blames his family for his suffering. He's Habadan by blood but culturally very Odedan.

I sent an ask about Rurik already so I'm not sending another. Even though Maurice isn't playable, they'd still have interactions together.

Helena!!!!!!!!!!

So Odeda lives in the Odedan/Pylarkian desert but lives there in her human form where she uses the alias Josie. Odeda adopted Helena, a young girl without a family and took care of her. Helena and Ira were kind of friends as kids, so Ira is thrilled to see her again when she joins the party near the end of the story. Helena is aware that Josie is Odeda, but never says anything because it's not it's a bad thing and she's grateful to have such a loving guardian.

And last but not least, my beloved Yagaan!

Yagaan is a soldier from Nini who has very bad anxiety. She went through various traumatic events as a kid and she's doing better as an adult. She studied in Odeda alongside Sigmund's niece so she often visits Sigmund's house to see his niece. Cause of this, she's also acquainted with Sigmund and more than happy to fight alongside him when he and Ædith request Ninese forces to take down Volkaire

Volkaire's assistant? So like what, his strategist, secretary, or loyal underling? Either way, I think nothing spells loyalty and steadfast better than a cleric/healer. It will be quite surprising, right? That someone as soft as a cleric could actually be so sucked in by propaganda to take a stance contradictory to the power of healing.

Brandi

Brandi, the first mate who lured me down this rabbithole! I think she could be a healer! Or a dancer/bard/ya know those morale-boosting class.

Lewis

Ooh, so is he no longer a spy in the game? I thought I would suggest knives for him, but judging from his attitude, he could probably be an archer. hi love, i’m so sorry this is happening to you but i understand what you’re going through. it was the same for me before i manifested everything. honestly i would suggest the lullaby method but it seems like you’re already doing that so persisting is probably the best option unless you want to try this, lucid dreaming. i honestly hate lucid dreaming because it’s a scary experience for me (not in general i just don’t like messing with my dreams and sleep paralysis ect.) but since like you actually need a way out and you’re not manifesting just because, i feel like lucid dreaming is worth it. it’s happened to me and many others without even trying. but i recommend the WBTB technique of you search it up you’ll find some great posts on it. lucid dreaming honestly isn’t that hard and will most likely send you to the void after no more than 2-4 attempts. if you have any questions or need more help i’m always here. and i hope you get out of your situation soon. 🎀💗🧁

I've been good more or less, i?m finally done with exams now, only six more to go in all of school 🥹 + one oral final. I have my mock-finals in march and then my final exams in may and then i'm done its insane.

I'm still missing some christmas presents, but i'm hoping to get them next week. After that i can finally chill more or less, still have a lot of plans my holidays are basically fully booked, but its fun.

I finally finished my social science project thing! I finished it yesterday morning before i left to go to a christmas market with my dance group in the afternoon. We spent like 5 hours there, it was fun. I had eyeliner and mascara onbc why not (i very rarely wear makeup and if i do its eyeliner and maybe mascara, i touch my face way too much it would get smudged 😔), and nobody told me that it smudged at some point so i was walking around with smudged mascara all day 😭. It didn't look too bad luckily, just more of a smoky eye than anticipated. I got more christmas socks too. (Important stuff). l had a small hangover today very mean lmao. Currently in the train on my way home from dance training (we don't even get a break when everyone including the trainer is hungover lmao). It was nice tho. The train is very full because there's a football game on in the city this train is heading to, all the windows are fogged up from condensation trains in winter are pure hell 💔. But you gotta do ehat you gotta do.

I wrote that this morning and forgot to send it (i always prewrite my asks in my notes app so i can check your responses and answer them lol). I had another board game night with friends today and we played several new games it was very fun!

2. with seto... i remember reading this fic in ff/net back in the golden days of kagepro (so like. 10 years ago) that was like hibiya resenting seto bc he was still hurting abt hiyori and while everyone died with a loved one seto lost a DOG. i thought it was so funny bc it's so immature but seems so in character for hibiya. also in the novels when hibiya is unconscious he's taken to seto's room. i think hibiya thinks the whole dan act like fools (bc they ARE) but kind of respects and looks up to seto because hibiya is 12 and according to my intensely calculated family headcanons was raised in a toxic masculinity household so he sees this Buff Guy getting up at 5am everyday and holds more than one job for his family...he's like (nod nod nod) and he also really respects how seto refuses to use his eye power because of its. erm. unethical nature. hibiyas like UGH SETO IS SO COOL SUCH A MAN'S MAN. seto is mostly oblivious to this and always always always ruffles hibiyas hair. everyone does this but seto is the only one hibiya doesnt yell at

3. i think kano would go easy on hibiya cuz he's a kid but not entirely bc if kano isnt totally insufferable to everyone he knows at least once a day he gets sick and dies. i think kano tries to do the big sibling thing abt convincing the little brother of a total bullshit lie like basically his hobbie is gaslighting hibiya for fun. hibiya goes screaming for kido to make him stop lol. also kano's the one who's always saying shit like hibiya is 8 years old. even when hibiya's an adult kano's like how old are u again. u turned like 15 right

9. i've talked abt the haruka and hibiya shitshow lol but again i love the idea of hibiya just totally refusing to acknowledge konoha's gone and keeps kicking and screaming abt it. bc if konoha is rly gone then it means he regrets everything bc he was so mean to it and its bc of it hiyori is alive (hiyori doesnt act this way bc she's well aware of it) and that SUCKS. so hibiya largely avoids haruka and isn't all that into how hiyori is really accepting of him and all. and haruka is also like. awkwardly trying to approach him because it's the least he can do in konoha's memory but hibiya's like hissing at him. eventually hibiya would accept it after a couple breakdowns. i think momo also punches some sense into him. i want hibiya to lash out at haruka and scream all sorts of things at him abt how it's not fair konoha is gone and like who even is he and just overall say all the things haruka is already super insecure about but then it ends on hibiya sobbing in his arms abt how much he misses konoha. and haruka can only hug him back and apologize :(

The Ahsoka novel hurt my heart in a good way, here are some of the highlights:

Anytime Ahsoka reflects on what she should do in a tough situation she reflects on what both Anakin and Obi-Wan would have done and usually lands on something in the middle, she considered them both her teachers almost equally :’) and she didn’t seem to have specific resentment toward Obi-Wan for his role in her trial, it was about the council/order as an institution

She still talked to artoo as if he were still there and bantered in battles even though no one was there to respond 😭 and at multiple points has to say to herself something like ‘when are you going to accept they’re gone? It’s just you, and they’re dead’ 💔

She has kept her distance from the force but doesn’t struggle to come back to it when she needs it and these scenes are beautiful

She really couldn’t stay out of the fight for long

She turns to mechanic work because of what she learned from Anakin :’)

A flashback showed that a big part of why Anakin never requested a new padawan was because he recognized that jedi typically work in pairs and he didn’t want it to seem like he was pushing Obi-Wan aside 😭 he ‘didn’t know how he felt’ about Obi-Wan requesting a new padawan but he was already thinking of how to incorporate the new one into their strategies

Female character is attracted to Ahsoka, at one point says she could kiss her in a banter-y way and like, mood

A family Ahsoka stayed with while undercover had a force sensitive child that fortunately was not detected by the sixth brother and seemed to be well protected. At one point she returns to that planet to make sure the young one was safe because she felt bad about leaving abruptly earlier

The way Bail found her was equally 🥹 and hilarious because he tracked her down through a series of reports of undercover rebellious activities and didn’t tell the pilots he sent to find her they were looking for a jedi so she knocked them out and only stayed because Bail had sent artoo with them and the reunion was so 😭 anyway she sent a coded message to Bail and then broke into his house to meet with him

Also Artoo didn’t 100% erase the footage of their reunion so Bail found a tiny shot of her montrals and was immediately like ‘!!!!!!’ when he saw her. He wanted to send Obi-Wan a message to let him know but decided against it for the safety of the children 😭😭 and I respect that but I still hate it i just want them both to know the other survived

Baby Leia 😭 who Bail was afraid to open classified docs around because he was afraid she knew how to read at one year old lmaoo he also had actual conversations with her at that age even though others like Ahsoka couldn’t understand what Leia was saying

Artoo souped up her shitty ship that she ‘acquired’ and made it run so much better

The way Ahsoka got the crystals for her white sabers was so lovely 🥹 she took corrupted crystals from the sixth brother and purifies them

Brief section from Obi-Wan’s POV from Tatooine, which shows him trying to reach out to find other jedi in the force and not being able to sense any 😔 but he is making progress toward connecting with Qui-Gon (not totally canon anymore tbh) and also he went to Shmi’s grave to apologize for losing her son 💔

Overall very good and very enjoyable
