I'm gonna say something that 90% of you will hate but it's what's on my heart—now that we've seen Pedro and Vanessa speak in every interview about how this couple is so passionately in love and dedicated to each other and have been married for decades—I wish we could let this be the ONE Pedro character whose fanfic isn't completely overwhelmed by x reader fic instead of even consiiiidering respecting and exploring his canon relationship 😔

Not my best work by far, but I think it's cute! Just a quick little drabble (I think- I've never figured out quite what the classification system is for writing on here lmao) so I can start this blog up. Enjoy!

It was rather dark, the room only lit by the many screens scattered around you and more so around L.

As you clicked away at the keyboard, the sound of rustling wrappers indicated the detective was trailing his slender fingers through a bowl of sweets, judging each one so he could determine the ideal order in which to eat them. You glanced at L as he picked one up, fiddling with the wrapper. He glanced back, pressed a finger to his lips and slowly pushed the bottom one to the side.

"...Why are you looking at me like that?"

L's tone is of course as cold and monotonic as usual as his unblinking, oddly wide eyes hold yours. You just smile, watch as he places the candy on his tongue and swallows it.

"You're pretty."

A beat.

"I see."

And a much longer silence. It fills the room up, unspoken whispers piling on top of thoughts to create a cold blue weight in the atmosphere.

"...There is an 86% chance you just lied, Y/N." L's hands grip his knees a little tighter as the detective stares ahead at his computer. "I told you to stop lying. It frustrates me to no end."

"I said nothing false, L."

"Ryuzaki," he absentmindedly corrects, pointing one of those long, pale fingers at you as he reaches for another candy.

"I think you're pretty."

He turns back to you after a minute, his brow slowly creasing. He prods his thumb against his lips again. "I am well aware I do not conform to the superficial beauty standards society holds."

"So?"

"I don't think that you ought to view me as 'pretty'."

You sighed and leaned back in your chair, eyes closing as you raised a hand in a half-shrug. "I don't understand why you think I'm lying about something so simple, Ryuzaki. I don't need you to conform to society's standards. And honestly, I quite like that you don't. Please just take my word that I find you visually appealing."

"Must I?"

"Yes. You're pretty."

"I require you to at least provide a basis for your argument."

You pause and look at L for a second, then lean over to give him a little peck on the cheek. You steal one of his sweets as you retreat and grin as you throw it into your mouth.

"Bias."

MC: Tbh, they weren't anything special. We couldn't exactly afford to go all out for me or my siblings...

Leona: *eavesdropping and waiting for the right time to surprise him with a big party*

MC: It’s not like I'm complaining, though. I actually preferred the low-key celebrations. Having a huge party just sounds way too stressful.

Leona: *Freezes before immediately shooing away the performers and caterers he hired, settling for the cake he had Trey bake*

Interviewer: Surely you got cake, at least!

MC: Oh, I actually don't like cake. Instead, my parents would buy a box of donuts from a donut shop near our house that I always liked.

Ruggie, next to Leona: Nice.

Leona: *shoves the cake into Ruggie's hands and bangs his forehead against the wall*

MC: One funny thing that happened when I was younger is that my parents tried getting me an ice cream cake one year and put sparklers in it, but I was a pretty anxious kid so the sparklers ended up scaring me away! *laughs*

Leona: *immediately calls Jack* Cut the fireworks. Now.

Jack: *thought he said 'cue the fireworks'* You got it.

Leona: *walks up, grabs MC by the shoulders and kisses him on the lips* Happy birthday, Herbivore.

MC: Leona-- *Gets startled by fireworks exploding in the sky, spelling out the message, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MC. LOVE, LEONA KINGSCHOLAR." Followed by an image of their faces together*

Leona, Ruggie, and the interviewer: *facepalm*

I mean, there's only really two ways to handle a fight in RP:

Players agree on a result beforehand, then coordinate the fight OOC as it happens IC (i.e. "Can I stab you next turn?" "Yes, but somewhere non-vital")

Players agree to certain conditions OOC (i.e. "No perma-death"), then roll attack/defense to determine the IC result

Whichever way you do it, the winner has to feel like they actually accomplished something, but the loser can't have everything taken from them (unless everyone agrees on something like perma-death or completely overthrowing someone)

However, there are some fights that just shouldn't happen because the fighters aren't evenly matched (i.e. God vs One ant)

If reincarnated Female naruto was gonna take a picture with the other main characters in the anime she wouldn’t want it to be some basic pose NAHHHH unfortunately both Kakashi and and Sasuke are over it but indulging her. Dick. For the canon isn't real square I am Specifically talking about the Tom Taylor Nightwing run. Usually I ignore bad runs but given this one is ongoing (though about to end THANK GOD and get replaced by Dan Watters who i have high hopes for since i adored his Sword of Azrael (2022) run but i digress) so I counted it. Especially since it's so debated if that run is bad or not, for some reason. I'm a 90s Nightwing truther. I love Dick so dearly and tbh recently I've been more enamored with him the more I read his Discowing era, I didn't used to be as big of a Dick stan as I am these days.

Bruce. Honestly where do you even start with Bruce. I want to fist fight him and also patch him up. He got me into comics and superheroes as a whole but I roll my eyes whenever he shows up in a story. He's a bastard and usually not a good father but also complex and should be dissected under a magnifying glass. I love him dearly. He's also just the worst. I think that's why I love him. I'm always a fan of unabashedly Complicated Asshole Bruce who's generally not always the best person, particularly not to the Batfamily and that being the driving force of his relationships with them, especially in shipping.

And for bonus points, Tim. Because know above all else, I'm a Tim Drake kinnie /deg. He's been my number one for a decade and I've yet to uproot him from my brain. He's literally the Worst half the time and I love him for it. And the canon isn't real refers to Tim Drake: Robin because... that sure was a comic. And that's about all I can say about it. Pre-Flashpoint Tim I miss you so dearly. I think it's fun that I want to put him in a blender and drink the juice but also want Nothing Ever to happen to him.

Notes: Completely self indulgence. Technically self ship? Can be read sagau or just traveler!me. Basing this mostly on vibes, I'm still lacking knowledge on a lot of characters personal quests and insights. Very very tempted to draw some of the children. Would you wanna see that?😊

Lyney- One boy and one girl. Birth order doesn’t matter. I could also see him very much adopting. Maybe our third child is an adoptee. And yes he is including them in his magic acts Lyney darling where did the toddler go? Hm? What do you mean say the magic word and he'll reappear??!!

Cyno- One boy. Looks just his father. Child is quite and has a very calm temperament. Most well behaved child ever. All the other parents are jealous. For sure teaches his son how to protect himself and others when he’s older.

Childe- Twins, one girl and and boy. A mix of brown hair like me and bright red hair like their dad. Freckles too. If we decide to try again it’s another set of twins lol.

Heizou- Two little girls. 3-5 years apart. Omg he babys them so much. Spoils them rotten.

Zhongli- Just one little girl. She looks a lot like her father but has my eyes. Inherits archon power so she is a little dragon herself. Has a name referencing a flower or jewel like Jade or Amethyst. She's the ideal daughter when she's a young adult.

Ayato- Three boys. Oldest 10 years old, middle 8, youngest 5. And they are a menace. The biggest trouble makers. They did not inherit their father’s calm demeanor. They behave well enough in front of Ayato but left alone...chaos.

Wanderer- A single little girl who Scara is secretly so soft for. Outwardly and mostly in the early stage of fatherhood treats the child pretty indiffrently in public. But behind closed doors cuts the crust off the bread for his daughter and lets her braid his hair.

Venti- One son who has my hair color but still carries Venti’s teal color gradient. Venti is really clueless on how to care for a newborn but as soon as the baby starts to babble and become mobile he becomes surprising a really good dad. In true god of freedom fashion lets the toddler wonder around barefoot outside ! Venti sweetie your baby's about to eat a worm go get em!!

Kaveh- Oldest a boy, middle a girl, and youngest a boy. Actually very deicated to his family, gives him a reason to get up in the morning. When his child needs attention he sits them on his lap while he (trys) to work at his desk, giving the toddler a paintbrush to play with.

Tighnari- Four children. Hmm maybe two girls and two boys? All of them have fox ears and tails. Mix of them looking more like me and more like Tighnari.
