It can’t be…

Killua is sure it can’t be, but when he pulls the thermometer from his mouth and looks at it through blurry vision, it shows clear signs of a fever.

It would explain why he felt so miserable. And why he looked so miserable too, with dark bags under his eyes, shone clearly against his pale skin that seemed even more so porcelain, his hair messy and sticking up all over the place. It did that naturally, sure, but he tried to fix it… and Gon… Gon said his hair was cute…

Gon…

Even just thinking of Gon makes him want to burst out into tears.

His rough palm messing up his hair while Killua brushed his teeth, wearing one of Gon’s t-shirts as a dress, remarking how cute he is…

Killua thought he felt miserable just because Gon wasn’t here… the runny nose from wanting to cry. Not the ongoings of sickness, the ache in his chest more than just the pain from coughing.

He whines, curling up against the mattress, something cold and wet pressing into his palm.

Kon must’ve sensed his distress, jumping onto the bed, the big dog pressing his black nose against Killua’s hand, whining.

Killua rolls over, resting his head on the dog's stomach, blinking back tears, and coughing.

“…want Gon…”

He isn’t a child, he knows it’s stupid, and Gon has a life outside him. Work, friends, and well… most of the time when Gon hangs out with his friends, he comes along clinging to his arm, but…

He didn’t want to burden Gon. If Gon said the word… he would… he would leave him alone for a month! Okay… maybe not a month… a week…

But Gon says he didn’t mind, and he likes Killua going with him.

Gon would so proudly point out how cute he looked and gush about him right in front of his friends, and it would make Killua feel so dizzy and hot he’d surely faint. It was so embarrassing, but-but it made him happy…

When Gon isn’t around… his chest hurts so much…

He curls his fingers up in Gon’s shirt, crying into Kon, who seems to cry with him.

Killua was going to do something special for Gon once he came back. He was going to make him his favorite meal… fish…

The thought makes Killua want to gag, especially with how his stomach churns. But he was going to do it for Gon!

And he had a cute mint dress picked out, and he was going to be fine! Fine without Gon…

But now, all he really wants is to curl up against Gon’s chest.

He miserably reaches for his phone and fumbles to put his password in, trying not to cry more over his background, which has Gon in it.

It’s late where he is… so it’s probably even later where Gon is…

He stares dazed, hitting the contacts app, and then exiting, and then hitting it again, landing on Gon’s name.

Which was true… Gon’s a big dumb idiot, big dumb buff idiot, but he’s sweet and warm…

Dialing…

“…Hello?”

Gon’s voice sounds gruff, like he just woke up, and Killua’s heart rate spikes, and he grips the phone with sweaty palms.

“Is that my princess cotton ball?”

Usually, Gon’s cheesy nicknames make him flush, make his heart race, and sometimes want to make him punch him all simultaneously, but this time he just wants to cry…

He does, but it mixes with a congested laugh, coming out as a wail.

He can hear Gon shuffle on the other side of the line.

“Babe?”

Killua let’s one of his hands drop, petting Kon behind a floppy ear, sniffing.

“G-Gon… can you come home…? Me and K-Kon miss you…”

He doesn’t specify he’s sick; he doesn’t want to. He’s already being selfish… He fully expects Gon to apologize and say he’ll be home as soon as possible.

“Of course, baby. I’ll take the soonest flight home; take care of our little fluffball, okay, Kon?”

Kon barks like he can understand Gon, curling around Killua to provide him warmth.

Killua is frozen, staring wide-eyed, mouth open.

“N-no, you big moronic! Teddy bear mountain! I-I’m just being selfish…”

Gon makes a noise Killua can’t decipher.

“Of course, I’m coming; I love you, my little frosting drop.”

Killua grips the phone tight, his head pounding.

He puts the phone right next to his mouth.

“IDIOT! IDIOT! IDIOTTTT!”

And then hangs up.

He presses his hand to his sweaty hot forehead, trying to ease the throbbing pain in his skull, panting.

He closes his eyes, falling into a restless sleep.

“Baby…”

Everything is too fuzzy and warm, but Killua recognizes that warmth, pressing against his cheek and brushing strands of hair away, and he wants to cling to it.

Blearily he opens his eyes, adjusting to the light with a whine.

“G-Gon…?”

He stretches his arms out, wanting Gon to pick him up, and Gon chuckles lightly.

“Alright, gumball.”

Gon leans over, scooping Killua into his arms, and Killua wraps his arms around Gon’s neck, snuggling against him.

“I made you some coffee with honey, with the cute little cat foam just like you like it, princess.”

Killua hums happily, not really caring, inhaling Gon’s scent through his one unplugged nostril, the pine, sweaty smell.

“…’m not a princess right now… ‘m a hideous, ugly witch…”

Killua slurs out, closing his eyes and pressing his cheek to Gon’s chest.

“Not true. You’re the prettiest princess around.”

Killua opens his eyes, half-lidded. Pouting.

“Then where’s my kiss from my prince charming…?”

So what… he’s a little selfish…

He…

Gon goes to place Killua down in his chair in the kitchen, and Killua whimpers, holding on tighter, and Gon smiles, kicking the chair out with his foot and sitting down, still holding Killua.

“Alright, only if my princess requests it.”

He leans down, giving a quick peck to Killua’s forehead.

“I’ll give more later, but only if my little lovebug gets some rest.”

“…W-with you…?”

Killua sniffs, wiping under his nose, realizing he is wearing a cardigan on top of Gon’s shirt now.

“With me. Gotta make sure no other princes try and wake up my sleeping beauty.”

“…s-stupid… no other princes are like… you…”

He closes his eyes, almost purring like a cat, falling asleep in Gon’s arms.

“And there are no princesses like you, beauty.”

not one to be swayed by humor of any sort in the first place,  but having a... great liking for the other party was a mighty thing;  affecting matters of any sort in ways you don't quite understand  /  everything appeared just a little brighter. ‎ ‎expression is focused,  listening with a seriousness that might be a little too much for  ( what was likely intended to be )  a lighthearted joke.  hakuno and her sweet tooth even forgoing the fruit handed to her in favor of mulling over cyno's joke,  you can almost see the gears turning in her head as she tries to process...  not that that was necessary,  seeing how the punchline is delivered promptly. 

a punchline that seemed as though it were more of a revelation to the maiden.  the gears stopped now,  but the lightbulb of realization has been turned on !  delicate mouth parted open in a small awed ohh.

she almost drops the half of the fruit handed to her. ‎ kill, ‎it's kill ! ‎ ‎( hakuno, you idiot !! )     “  o-obviously..!   ”     by some miracle,  she'd managed to parrot the electro user's word in some attempt to regain  /  maintain her composure.  goodness,  just why was her mind in the gutter ??  ‎ busying herself away from those thoughts,  attention is now put to the zaytun peach in her hands as per cyno's request. 

the small but heartwarming detail of her being given the larger half is one that somehow made the fruit in her hand even more precious.  with a thank you uttered to the other for it, ‎a small polite bite of the fruit is taken. ‎ah ! ‎ ‎ it's sweet... ‎ — ‎a bite followed by another,  and another,  and another.  the end result is a hakuno with her cheeks stuffed almost comically like a squirrel,  a great contrast to an elegant exterior.  hakuno pays it no mind,  much too occupied with savoring the yummy treat instead.  somehow,  it tastes even better too !

could the company at hand played a role in that as well ? ‎  that thought resided in the back of her mind,  but she finds herself unconsciously scooting closer to cyno even without an answer.     “   fufu, ‎you know,  had i been anyone else,  i might've taken that as a threat.   ”      said in a jest,  obvious from how she relaxes in his presence,  perfect posture broken as she leans on him just slightly. his vermillion eyes could continue to look up at the sky, ‎while her own hazels would remain only looking at him. ‎a silent, ‎ yet fond gaze.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎...well,  if it's you then i wouldn't mind.

his hands rubbing her back and arms, her head tucked into his chest as everyone waits. she didnt sleep well the night before and jake knows. it’s not surprising to either of them when she starts getting drowsy

she’s trying sooooo hard to stay up though— “don’t wanna miss the fireworks, jakey. gonna be so pretty, so…” but then she’s nodding off for a moment again as jake chuckles

“oh little bear, is someone getting sleepy?” he rouses her gently, bouncing his leg underneath her

she pouts and tries to deny it but it’s obvious, jake thinks she’s so cute when she’s a little pouty and cranky 🥺🥺

“you can close your eyes, sweet thing. i promise i’ll wake you up when the fireworks are starting” she rubs her eyes, pouting a little more, so jake pulls out the big guns: he starts smoothing his hand over her hair, every now and then gently rubbing her little nose 🥺 and pretty quickly she’s a goner, eyes drooping as she gives in with a huff

1.I'd love a Connor (RK800) X shy reader. Where the reader and Hank are best friends and they talk a lot with them; but with Connor the reader is really quiet and awkward. he gets too close and they stutter. Looks to Hank for help 🤔(Connor)🥺(Reader) 😑(Hank). Annnnnnyway... I loveeeee hurt comforts. Maybe the reader gets picked on and Connor steps in when he finally catches the person/people calling the reader fat etc. (ANGST). But then the reader starts to crush on Connor and avoids them. Fast forward and the reader went for drinks and walked over to Hank (who they thought was by himself) confessing they feel bad for avoiding Connor... who overhears.

2. Ralph X reader where both have trust issues. The reader is human and had a droid who beat her and obviously his issues with humans... They get put in the same house together and one day the reader comes back and cries in their room. He overhears and says, "Ralph wants to help. Please let him help." Eventually the reader gives in and slowly approaches him before cuddling and holding for dear life. "Ralph will keep you safe. Ralph trusts you." And just SUPER FLUFFY 😭😭😭🥰

3. Ralph X plus size reader. He thinks they deserve better because he sees other androids the human hangs out with. The reader admits how he is the only one for them and that they understand. Something about his face insecurity and theirs being their body. Accidentally let's slip people have shamed them for being overweight and Ralph without question admits he thinks they are the most beautiful etc... idk? He sees that it's okay to be insecure in themselves because no matter what he'll always be the reader's priority. That how he sees them as perfect they can see him that way even if not in themselves (hope that makes sense ??😅)

4. Connor X reader. Overhears me talking to Hank about him. "Wouldn't you do the same?"

It's always him thinking they deserve better than an android. Id like to see one how I think.
