The Disability Library
I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
And so, friends, Romans, countrymen, I present, a special disability and chronic illness booklist, compiled by myself and through the contributions of wonderful members from this site!
As always, if there are any at all that you want me to add, please just say. I'm always looking for more!
Edit 20/10/2023: You can now suggest books using the google form at the bottom!

Meet Caspien Aparajita!
Her playful, charismatic personality doesn’t cover up the fact that she’s a fugitive. During her time in the Entostellian realm, Caspien was frequently involved in criminal activity. Known for her fluency in colour-weaving and athletic evasiveness, she’s become quite a notorious pirate within the kingdom, easily out-maneuvering most of the Aurelian’s enforcers. One day, however, Caspien’s impulsiveness leads her to bite off more than she can chew, as she tries to steal a forbidden book from the Aurelian’s library for a mysterious, high-paying client. She ends up getting caught and thrown into prison. But Cas is a stubborn Entostellian, and eventually found a way out, eventually finding a way to slither into the apartment, and lives, of Tim and Albert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY SO-
- The Aurelian is basically the leader/monarch/emperor (like Celestia from MLP). They have been gifted the power of the “Arcane” and have more magic then the rest of the Entostellians of the realm
- The enforcers, or royal guard of the Aurelian, is called the “Aurelian’s Symphony.” I’ll explain it a lil more in Cecile’s post :>
- Caspien is an “Aquastellian.” They are great swimmers and have the ability to breathe underwater. When they come into contact with water, they have retractable fins. These types of Entostellians have tails+antennae designs inspired by certain shrimp, plankton, or sea slugs.
-I primarily use she/her pronouns for Caspien, but do know she is cool with any pronouns!

Terravale Hall
Tumblr media
Hey Diary,
Today was a whirlwind of mysteries and revelations. Let me spill the beans.
Mr. Servius escorted me to Terravale Hall with the golden key card, and the stone door greeted us with a loud creak, as if awakening from a deep slumber. Terravale Hall, a sanctuary embracing the essence of the earth, unfolded before me. The colossal stone fountain in Earthheart Plaza flowed with earth-infused water, and ancient trees whispered tales of magic. At the heart of the hall, an intricately engraved earth rune marked the gathering place for ceremonies. Rockhaven Grotto and Verdant Canopy Grove showcased magical creatures, while the Geomancer’s Archive, a magical library, invited quiet study. Dormitories carved into earthen walls provided cozy havens. Everything, in brown and green, radiated a connection with earth’s energy.
Everything there was the same as I saw earlier around my room, like the corner room, scratch on my door but the wall that swallow people wasn’t there. In my room my luggage waited for me. I arranged everything, feeling reassured that this couldn’t be mere imagination. It was as real as the air I breathed.
Tumblr media
Morning brought a surprise — a box on my doorstep containing the school uniform and a wand, a gift from Mrs. Morgana Revancraft. The wooden wand symbolized my connection with Terravale, chosen by the “Foresight Fire.” However, this wand was different from the one the old lady gave me in Ebonhaven Village. A strange feeling urged me to keep quiet about the old lady and her wand, so I hid it. Trust needed to be earned before I could spill any secrets.
Lilith knocked on my door, and we headed to the great hall, though it seemed we were fashionably late. Albert Pendleton, a shy, bookish boy from Aetherion Spire, kindly found us seats. Headmistress Morgana Revancraft and the professors took their places, and she addressed the students. The main agenda for the day was the policy regarding relationships with “mundane am.” The rule was clear: no relationships with mundane am for the safety of everyone. Breaking this rule meant facing consequences, and it felt more like a warning than a piece of advice.
Tumblr media
After the peculiar announcement from Headmistress Morgana Ravenscroft about the restrictions on relationships, I couldn’t help but notice Albert’s discontent. The policy seemed to weigh heavily on him, sparking my curiosity about his feelings towards these rules. Following the assembly, we headed to the food court for a delightful feast.
During our meal, Lilith inquired about my encounters with magical powers. She found it hard to believe that a witch or wizard could go through life without experiencing magic. I hesitated and confessed that I had never felt anything to indicate that I possessed magical abilities.
Now, alone in my room, reflections flood my mind. Recollections surface, like the time a dead plant revived at my touch or when I sensed influencing the positions of stars. Was I unconsciously using magic all along? And when I shared these oddities with Adam, why did he dismiss them as normal? Does he possess magical knowledge or, perhaps, love me despite being a witch? Questions swirl in my head, and answers remain elusive.
On another note, I planted the seeds Professor Xorki gave me by the riverside. The bag also contained a note with instructions to plant them discreetly. It adds another layer to the mysteries surrounding this school and my role in it.
Tumblr media
Oh, and guess who I found under my bed? Misty! The same cat I encountered before. I called her by name, and she came to me as if she recognized my voice. Animals are incredible, aren’t they? They have a way of making us feel a connection that transcends words.
As I navigate through these magical twists, the uncertainties deepen. What other surprises await me in this mystical realm? Only time will tell.
Yours truly, Zoe

Magicians Don't Need Superheros Pt32
First: Link Prev: Link Next: Link
----------
Marvin hummed to himself as he tried to comprehend the words on the pages in front of him. He was beginning to understand why it was referred to as ‘chaos magic’. There didn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason for how it worked, yet there was almost a dance of knowledge to learn. Marvin felt a bit of his pride being prodded at by how complicated this magic seemed to be compared to his. Well, either it was more complicated, or whoever wrote these books was terrible at simplifying. Regardless, he’d need to dive more into this and begin practicing as soon as possible if he was going to go up against that new Ego.
“Would I be able to take some of these books back to the House?” Marvin asked, picking up his mug and finishing the last sip of coffee. Mad knew how to make a good cup of coffee, although, there was a chance that it was just all the chocolate and sugar in it, but it was still nice. It also explained all of Mad’s energy if all he drank was sugar and caffeine.
“Hm?” Mad looked up from the book he was reading. The question processed a second later and he answered right when Marvin began to repeat himself. “Oh yeah, sure. Do you know how many you want to borrow? I have an extra backpack you can use to help carry them.”
“No trade?” Marvin doubted he’d get off easy twice in a row.
“I’m going to borrow some of your books in return,” Mad said with a big grin.
“That’s fair.” Marvin shrugged, pulling his buzzing phone from his pocket. “Pardon me for a moment.” He excused himself as he got up and walked to the other side of the room before taking the call. “Hello?”
“Where’d you go? You just, like, vanished?” Jackie sounded worried through the phone.
“I’m sorry, I should have texted one of you. I’m at Mad’s place looking at some books with him.” Marvin couldn’t help but smile a little at Jackie checking on him. It was nice to know at least one person had an eye out for him.
“Oh!” Jackie held out the word, sounding relieved. “Sorry for bugging your hang-out.”
“I was actually planning on heading back to the House soon. I might need to run on the treadmill for the next hour with all this sugar and caffeine in me.”
“You had a Mad coffee?”
“Yes. It’s very tasty but-um-I’m not sure how to put it.”
“Leaves you in a sugar rush?”
“Yes!” Marvin chuckled when Jackie found the perfect words. “No wonder he and Anti can have matching energy.”
“It’s how they’re friends.”
“That sounds-” Marvin stopped when he heard a soft meow. “Is that a cat?” He started looking around.
“That’s Al, short for Albert. He’s Mad’s cat.” Jackie explained as Marvin peeked around a shelf and saw a cat strolling down the aisle. He was gray with white paws and a pink nose. The cat paused when he saw Marvin and tilted his head.
“Um…hey Al?” Marvin greeted the cat, crouching down and holding a hand toward him. Al stared at Marvin before blinking and slowly nearing his hand.
“Don’t be offended if he doesn’t like you right away, he’s a little hit or miss with some of us. He’s still very sassy with Mare.” Jackie said.
“Okay,” Marvin spoke to confirm that he still had a voice while a strange wave of sorrow hit him. Al sniffed Marvin’s hand before beginning to purr and rub his face against it.
“Marv?” Jackie said when the pause got too long for comfort. Marvin blinked, feeling something rolling down his cheeks as he ran his hand along Al’s back, petting him. Something about that felt soothing but painful at the same time.
“Are you okay?” Mad’s voice snapped Marvin out of his trance. Marvin just looked at Mad, seeing that he was very concerned and hugging an empty backpack. “You’re crying.”
“I am?” Marvin touched his face and saw that his fingers were wet. “I am. Sorry. Didn’t mean to have a moment in your library.” He straightened back up, Al continuing his purring and rubbing his body against Marvin’s legs.
“Do you want another coffee? I can try to make you some tea. Maybe you’d like some-uh-some cookies or something? I have a stash of Jolly Ranchers if you like those or-”
“I’m okay.” Marvin stopped Mad’s rambling with a chuckle. “Thank you for the offers.”
“Marvin?” Jackie’s voice came from the phone, back to his previous worried tone.
“I’m alright.” Marvin held the phone back to his ear. “I’ll be back at the House soon.”
“I’ll ask JJ to make some tea.” Jackie’s hero voice was back as well.
“I don’t need-” Marvin didn’t get to finish his protest as he heard the little beep of a call ending. “I guess I will be going back home to some tea.”
“We should get you packed up and going. I don’t want Jackie to stay worried.” Mad went over to the collection of books and started packing a few of them. He set two of the books aside. “Mare’s reading those right now.” He added his explanation as he continued to move.
“How do you know Mare’s reading those?” Marvin asked.
“He uses a mark on the cover.” Mad picked one of the books back up and pointed to what looked like a dark purple music note on the top right corner of the cover.
“He paints the books?”
“It’s magic, lets him know what he’s reading, and automatically opens to the page he’s on.”
“Chaos magic can be a bookmark? That’s a choice.” Marvin chuckled. “I think that’ll be enough for now, my back already hurts just looking at how heavy that probably is.”
“Do you want me to put some back?”
“I’ll be fine.” Marvin bent over to scratch the top of Al’s head while Mad zipped the bag shut.
“Mare can send you back. He’s probably in his room or the living room with Blank.” Mad chewed his lip in thought for a second. “He’ll be in the living room.”
“I’d ask how you deduced that, but we might be here for-” Marvin's tease turned into a grunt of surprise when he tried to pick up the bag and it was even heavier than he expected. “We might have to leave a few books behind.”
“This one on top is the biggest. Maybe it won’t be too bad if we take that one out.” Mad pulled out the book he spoke of and waited for Marvin to try again. Marvin strained a little but did manage to hoist the bag over his shoulder.
“I have about two minutes before I fall over like a turtle,” Marvin warned.
“Off we go.” Mad opened the door for Marvin and then guided him back to the living room, proving that he was correct that Mare was in there with Blank. Blank was napping on the couch while Mare was watching a show.
“You ready to leave?” Mare asked as he paused the show, brow raising when he saw the backpack Marvin wore. “Be careful.”
“Me?” Marvin pointed at himself.
“Yes, you. I know what’s in that bag. I know you’re looking into chaos magic. I’m assuming it has to do with the new Iplier, and I am telling you to be careful.” Mare stood up. “Chaos magic holds true to its name. It is powerful, chaotic, and a hassle to figure out how to control. Me and Phantom experienced that the hard way. That kind of magic is hard to learn because a majority of it dives into physical illusions based on emotions. You need to be in full awareness of your emotions to be able to use the magic to its full extent and to also do it safely. Is there anything in your life that could cause a sudden influx of emotions? If so, make sure it’s away when you’re practicing.”
“I can handle my emotions.” Marvin rolled his eyes.
“Whatever you say. Just don’t ignore my warning. The last thing we need is another Ego making a mess with chaos.” Mare finished his sentence with the snap of his fingers, and in the next breath, Marvin was back at the Septiceye House.

books of year ‘23, but only the ones that weren’t rereads and that I had something to say about. Text is written out below the cut. Please recommend books to me!!
Scales and Sensibility by Stephanie Burgis
when i saw this being recommended to me on scribd i sent it to my friends along with the word YESSSSSSSSS about 80 times. This has palpable Diana Wynne Jones insanity which is very exciting to me. The romantic lead is so boring but he’s not important; what’s important is the main character’s batshit physical transformation and its consequences. This book also triggered a personal ephiphany that i’d been setting myself up for for years, which is a little bit happenstance but I’m glad it happened while listening to this as an audiobook on a hike.
___
Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Mizuki Tsujimura
I’ve read a few books with a similar tone and goals but most of them do not feel as sincere, or they get preachy in a way this does not. I am a massive sucker for narratives about going and coming back to magical worlds (pre-isekai boom), like coville’s unicorn chronicles or barker’s abarat. they’re the most effective to me when they do what this is doing: telling an empathetic human story. One thing I really appreciate about this book as a mental illness narrative for younger people is its willingness to tackle the idea that someone’s terrified inner voice can be incorrect, or it can reflect reality accurately— some people do have a reason to be excessively scared. I think there’s a tendency when tackling this concept, especially for child readers, to tell them that their anxieties are silly and illogical, that of course no one is trying to hurt them. But that’s not always true. I appreciate that this story is able to question the main character’s assumptions about other people’s evil intentions while not questioning that her feeling of fear is real, while simultaneously acknowledging that similar pain is felt by kids going through abuse. I think I would have preferred a smaller cast or a longer book with more exploration of the other kids.
___
Earthlings: A Novel by Sayaka Murata
another very empathetic mental illness book, but much more disturbing. the main character’s worldview is alluring because the narrative paints reality in such a bleak way. If it didn’t force a sense of perspective on you, it could be a document that starts a cult. It’s very accurate to some experiences that I have had and things i have heard people say while in dangerous situations that involve religious behavior.
It’s very difficult to challenge the type of thinking this explores because each brick that builds a wall between someone’s mind and the rest of reality can seem like a reasonable brick. but when you look at the whole wall you can’t understand how such small and normal things as bricks could seal someone up inside and swallow them. This does a good job of showing you its challenge without being cruel. I’m glad I read it.
___
What Once Was Mine: A Twisted Tale by Elizabeth J. Braswell
official goth retelling of disney’s tangled, I had to see what was going on in there but it was pretty boring, worth the $0 price of library admission for rapunzel having evil moon hair that fucking kills you
___
Cutting Teeth by Chandler Baker
NO EXPLANATION FOR WHY THE TODDLERS STARTED TO CRAVE BLOOD. WAS HOPING DRACULA WAS BURIED UNDER THE PRESCHOOL BUT NOBODY LETS ME HAVE ANYTHING AROUND HERE
___
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I’d never read this before. Soooooo fun
fucking GET HIMMMMMM GIRLLLLL YESSSSSSSS!!!!! KILL!!!!!!!!!!!!
___
Declamation on the Nobility and Preeminence of the Female Sex by Henricus Cornelius Agrippa, edited by Albert Rabil Jr. 2007 edition
I cannot recommend this text enough if you are insane like me in pain like me (english literature major). Imagine that you are the princess of Austria and you’re bored of mummifying your husband’s heart and you decide to buy the man who would become arguably the world’s most famous wizard. this happened in real life. And what he decided to do was kiss her ass with his entire mouth. To that end, he wrote a torturously funny ted talk about how god made women better than men. Here are some reasons: women don’t drown in water because they’re fatter than men, but when women DO drown they do it face down so no one will see their boobs. Menstrual blood cures epilepsy and depression and can extinguish fires (????). all eagles are female (?????) and god created women last so he had tons of practice by then. This is the holy grail of bitchy footnotes. So many of these are just “he made this up”. It’s so fun!! And it’s helpful to remember that people have always been making shit up.
___
honorable mention: I read through the letters of Saint Hildegard of Bingen and I have to recommend this to everyone alive. I think she was in lesbian love so hard that that’s why she she wrote that shitty letter to the pope. but what do i know. she is also about 80% of the reason we know anything of what medieval medical knowledge was among women in europe. She also documented a ton of natural science.
___
The Crone Wars by Lydia M. Hawke
Now i have to admit i didn’t read all these. I did read the first one but this author’s priorities just don’t really align with mine, since these are ultimately straight romance novels. However, I wanted to show how long the series goes and what the titles are because I think they’re really fun. It was very cool to see what YA sensibilities look like with a 60 year old protagonist. This main character really reminded me of Usagi from Sailor Moon, which as a massive freak about sailor moon is not something I give out lightly, and I kept imagining events from this book as drawn by Riyoko Ikeda. After spending a little time with it, the manga panels just sort of happened in my mind and i recommend the experience. I do still want to draw some scenes from it sometime.

Ideas for a Black Phone/Magic School AU
Tumblr media
Finney and Gwen are Half-Blooded Mages (Human Father/Witch Mother)
Robin is a Werewolf.
Vance is a Vampire.
Bruce is a Wizard
Griffin is a Changeling.
Billy is a Frankenstein Creature.
Max is a professor of Magic History 101 at N’Evermore.
The Grabber is a Dark Wizard that possesses Blood Magic, the most forbidden form of magic.
For the story, students of N’Evermore are being attacked in the halls of school by a mysterious figure known as The Grabber, who drains his victims of their magical essences. (Either to cast a powerful spell or to undo a curse placed on him for tampering with Blood Magic)
The drainage spell doesn’t kill the kids here, but it does leave them in a comatose-like state barely clinging to life.
With more kids being attacked, magical siblings Finney and Gwen team up with other students to stop The Grabber once and for all.
Headcanons:
Roommates: Finney & Robin. Gwen & Suzie. Billy & Griffin. Vance & Bruce.
Gwens’ magic is considered light while Finneys magic is in a gray area (between light & dark)
Gwen has healing abilities, can link to other people through dreams, and can conjure visions. Finney can cast spells, but above all, he has the ability to connect with spirits of the dead.
Because of her healing abilities, Gwen sometimes volunteers around the Hospital Wing of the school. (That’s how she became connected to the Grabbers victims later on in the story)
Bruce becomes a magical tutor for Finney, who struggles with his powers in the story.
Before attending the school, Bruce inherited his fathers old staff. He wears it around his neck, shrunken size.
Vance became a vampire after his mother survived an attack while pregnant with him. This made him being a vampire… let’s say, a sore subject.
His parents basically left Vance on his own to figure out his powers. Going to N’Evermore was an escape for Vance.
Amongst his powers, Vance can connect with nearby bats to conjure an army.
Every full moon night, Robin sneaks out of the school to run through the nearby woods. It’s his favorite thing in the world because it makes him feel connected with his Dad.
Robin had been raised by his Uncle after his Dad was killed by Monster Hunters(sacrificing himself to save either a friend or young Robins life)
In this AU, Griffin has elemental/nature kind of magic.
Griffin has trouble fitting in with his peers, after spending his life being raised in a mythical forest by Faes.
Billy was actually born human and was turned into the creature he is today. He woke up one day, in the schools hospital wing, only to discover his body was covered in stitches, he had super strength and electrical powers.
The incident left his mind a jumbling mess, and he can’t remember what happened to him, or his life before. The school is trying to help him with his trauma and to find out who he is.
Harper is his Anxiety Dog, the school lets Billy take her everywhere.
Magic teacher, Max Shaw used to be a student at N’Evermore with his older brother; Albert. They both loved it there, especially the nights when they would sneak into the restricted section of the library.

As you can maybe tell by the three reviews I posted in July, it was a good reading month! Overall, at least. I still had a couple “this was fine” and one DNF, but there were a lot of hits and I read more books than I have the last few months.
So, highlights: The Hollow Places was fantastic, as was Bookshops and Bonedust but for very different reasons. If you’re worried that Baldree won’t be able to repeat the magic of Legends and Lattes, stop now. It was pure cozy delight. March’s End didn’t get a review simply because I already had three coming, but it was also very good. It examines family dynamics and the realities of a portal fantasy world in a very complex, adult way. The characters are believable if not necessarily likeable, the world-building is great, the writing is strong… all the things.
But between March’s End, The Hexologists, and The Hollow Places, I needed a lot of lighter books to balance, as you can probably tell by the rest of my list. I enjoyed pretty much everything! I’m just sorry I didn’t like the Sanderson more but I guess that’s a sign he isn’t an author for me since I didn’t like the last book of his I read either. I’m also a bit sorry I couldn’t get into The Atlas Six because so many people love it, but I dropped it in a Little Free Library and it got snapped up almost instantly so hopefully it’s found a better home.
So that was my unhaul of the month! I … did not do well with my book haul, or perhaps I did too well with it. The Odyssey and Thud were both damaged books that came in at work and I couldn’t say no. Thud has some wear to the cover; the Odyssey has some uncut and weirdly bound pages I’ll need to slice open. (Have I read and do I own other editions of both? Absolutely.) Love in the Time of Serial Killers was an unexpected rebound—I originally got it as a reading copy and passed it on to a coworker, who sent it back when she’d finished.
And then, well. There’s a new bookshop opening in my metro area. They’ve taken over from a used bookstore and have to sell off its stock before they can properly move in their own. I had to go help out, right? I couldn’t find anything in their SFF section I wanted but still left with three books: Gaudy Night, Evelina, and a collection of Molière. I went with friends, the same day we saw Barbie. ’Twas a very good day, all around.
And last but not least, I have started on one of those long, dense reads that will last ages. I’ve had Music from the Earliest Notations to the Sixteenth Century on my shelf for years and made it a goal to finally start it this year, since it’s totally up my alley but also huge and academic. There was a point in July where I didn’t want epic stories, light stories, or narrative non-fiction, so I figured that was as good a time to start it as any. I’ll probably read a section or two a month, whenever a similar mood hits.
And now without further ado, in order of enjoyment…

Can you help?
Albert De Saloum
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a peaceful day in the kingdom, with guards at their posts, maids and servants keeping the palace clean and the residents happy with their requests.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The sound of footsteps running past them, caught the people's attention as a girl ran passed them. They smiled as a kitten ran after the little girl. She stopped outside of a door before she knocked and waited to be let in.
"Come in," The person on the other side allowed her entry. She opened the door and walked inside.
"Big Brother Albert!" She ran over to his desk and placed her arms on his desk, with a pout she asked. "Have you Big Brother Llyod? I can not find him."
Albert chuckled before he answered her. "Have you checked the library y/n?" He got a nod in reply. "Is he not in his normal places?" She shook her head and Albert watched her pout turn into a frown. "Is there anything that I can help you with sister?" Y/n looked at him before shaking her head.
"You like magic, Llyod loves magic," Albert understood why she was looking for Llyod now.
"I see," Albert nodded his head, hand placed on his chin. "You have a question about magic that you think Llyod may have the answer to."
"Hm-hmm," A big grin was on her face as she nodded. Albert smiled as he stood up, walked around his desk to pick her up and placed her on his arm.
"Let us look for him together," Walking out of his office and walked around the castle looking in Llyod's normal hiding spots but he was not there. "He must be busy with one of our siblings, I am sorry I could not be more help." Albert placed her back onto her feet before noticing her kitten run up to her, pawing at her dress.
"It is okay," y/n said picking the kitten up. She smiled at Albert as she continued. "Thank you big brother Albert." Before he could say anything else she ran away in the direction of the gardens.
Albert smiled at her retreating form before he turned towards his office. A surprised look took over his face as he spotted Sypha walking down the hall.
"Sypha, do you know where Llyod is?"
"He should be in the garden," She bowed to him. "Did you need him, your highness?" He shook his head before answering.
"Not me, Princess y/n was looking for him."
"Would you like me to find the princess and let her know?" She asked him. He shook his head.
"She may have found him by now, she went in the direction of the gardens." Sypha nodded before she carried on with her work.
In the royal garden.
Llyod was sitting on one of the benches reading a magic book when he heard the pitter-patter of footsteps. Looking up he saw y/n running up to him. He smiled at her and put the book to one side while he listened to what she had to ask him.
The end.

She is developing arthritis in her right hand. She's ambidextrous, though, so she doesn't have to worry about writing.
She suffers from chronic back pain and insomnia. She also has severe anxiety, but she hides it pretty well. She buries herself in books as a distraction.
She takes care of Mondstadt's strays when they aren't at the Cat's Tail. She even adopted one to keep in the library. Her name is Puppy (Razor named her) and she is the most chill and affectionate cat you'll ever meet.
Lisa drinks a LOT of tea. She infuses some of it with magic to help with the curse.

Her collar has an alarm button that sends a signal to Fischl, Razor, Mika, and Kaeya that lets them know that he's in trouble.
He has VERY severe ADHD. It's honestly impressive.
The surname I gave him, Faust, means lucky. Ironic, I know.

Venti Konig
Any pronouns
~22 (physically), 2600+
Genderfluid, Biromantic, Androsexual
Family: None
In an unlabeled relationship with Diluc
Best Friend: Zhongli
Although the Nameless Bard was a teenager when they died, Venti made sure to alter the form so that he was still an adult. After all, it'd be a shame if he wasn't allowed to drink and date, right? Venti would be miserable without alcohol!
He flirts with Xiao a lot, even though they're not a couple. Don't worry, Diluc doesn't mind.
She teaches the kids of Mondstadt how to play the lyre, among other various instruments.
They spend a lot of time on the roof of Dawn Winery playing music. Adelinde has to get them down with a broom.
He lives in one of Diluc's spare bedrooms at the winery.
They often take trips to Liyue to visit Zhongli and Xiao. They play the flute for Xiao and drink wine with Zhongli. They also bring cecelias over and bring back glaze lilies.
LOVES flowers btw.
Knows how to play every instrument perfectly
The surname I chose for him, Konig, means king.

୨⎯ "dates with the Moriarty the patriot characters" ⎯୧
Omg my creativity hit its peek with the title
I still need to pick something for the pictures I have here so if someone has any ideas that will be great, thanks!
Feat. William, Louis, Albert, Sherlock, Hudson, James, Sebastian, Mycroft
William James Moriarty:
Library dates
Or just sitting together drinking tea and enjoying each others company
He would have more classy dates than spontaneous one's
He prefers to have planned dates than ones out of the blue
Louis James Moriarty:
I think he would be the type to have a nice picnic or to go to a park date
Idk why something to do with outside
He would like to be somewhere private, calm, relaxing
Somewhere where he can just enjoy the company of his lover in peace away from the chaos which surrounds his life
Albert James Moriarty:
He would like to show you off more
Even if you are a guy (being gay was illegal back then) he would still like to show you off somehow
(For the sake of this being magically is legal now)
He enjoys dinner dates in fancy restaurants or cafes
He wants you to enjoy yourself
Sherlock Holmes:
A crime scene date 😍
Time to solve a murder! 🥰
But in all seriousness
What am I talking about! I'm never serious
Anyway
He would enjoy midnight walks
And just blabbering to his s/o about whatever is on his mind
Miss Hudson:
Counting up the debt Holmes has built up for not paying his rent
Eemmmm.....
Idk she gives off like cafe or bar vibes
They don't really talk about her enough for me to know enough about her
And I don't have enough time to watch the sherlock Holmes movies or read the books
I rather read the books first then watch the movies tho
James Bond:
Would like to do things together
Anything really
If its spending time with you then it's the best he's been on
Sebastian Moran:
Bar dates
Just I'm running out of ideas
There are only like 5 characters here tho 🥲
Nvm I'm writing 8 this time
Mycroft Holmes:
Something safisticated
I was trying to spell sophisticated but it's the wrong word anyway
Listening to classical music while smoking and reading the news paper or something
I have 2 candles lit in my room and I think that they'll set fire to the house soon
Can you guys tell that English isn't my first language? Just wandering
It's midnight and I should sleep
Well ig that's enough for my random ass rant
Good night/day

✯¸.•´¨*•✿ Doodles ✿•*¨`•.¸✯
The hot summer air, blazes the library as students swarm the wondrous place to study their day away for the upcoming O.W.L.S, the library was at its busiest in June pushing Madame Pince the librarian more towards the edge as she carefully inspects the library for any sort of book damage, students shenanigans or overly loud group of people that need to be escorted out, she was an irritable woman in nature but in this time of year, he patience grew forevermore thin, which students have taken an aware off as they try to avoid things that raise anger out of her. You and your boyfriend Ron have been together for a year, confessing your feelings for each other during the quidditch world cup last year in your 4th year before the shambles of the dark lord hits the place, but after that, your relationship with Ron was as stronger than ever.
"Which Minister renovated and reinforced the prison of Azkaban and what was his term of office?" you questioned the bored-looking red-headed boy, "Hmmm is it, Albert Boot? he was in office from 1745 until 1752," he answered slightly hesitant giving you a quizzical look, "Not quite, it's Hesphaestus Gore and he was in office from 1752 until 1770...Albert was known for his resignment after the mismanaged goblin rebellion" you inform as Ron huffs in frustration slumping on the library table, you ruffle his short yet fluffy locks giving him a sympathetic smile, "It's okay love, maybe you'll get the next one" you encouraged him, he takes the hand you've ruffled his hair with and bring it down towards his lips planting a kiss on your knuckle sighing, "Babe we've been studying for 2 hours, I think I just need a break at this point and who honestly cares about the history of magic, even Harry doesn't know what he's doing" he stated still holding your hand close to his face.
"Ronald history of magic is just as important as our other subjects here taught in Hogwarts, everyone needs to know what happened in the past to stay aware and it can come as useful information when you become an Auror one day" you explained to him with an alluring smile displayed on your face focusing on your 'A History of Magic' book reading paragraphs that's been written in page 38 to 39, Ron blushes at the sight of your beauty kissing the right side of your cheek, "You always know what to say, don't you? fine... I'll study harder but let's take a break now come one" he usher, leaning himself towards your chair trying to gain your attention, "Ronald we're meeting up with Harry and Hermione in 20 minutes we can take a break then, just push through for now" you quietly reply to him keeping your eyes glued on the book, he sighs and slumping back on his chair eyeing his quill standing still on the ink pot, his slump face breaks into a massive grin as the light bulb in his head turned on.
He takes your free hand pretending to kiss it while you smile, focusing on the materials you're meant to study for the exam in 4 days' time, he carefully dips the bird quill into the ink pot before doodling a love heart on the back of your hand, he watches your face only to be matched with you focusing even harder on your studies, which led him to a breathy chuckle, before continuing to draw more things in your hand and arm, he started to write 'Ron's Property" on to your right arm that's been left exposed due to your rolled sleeve and he made another doodle of flowers around your arm going in as if you were a piece of blank paper. You noticed Ron has been quiet for a while, which leads you to peer over your book finding him doodling on your arm, your eyes popped out of your head from all the ink on your skin, and set your book down on the table, "Ronald!! what are you doing?" you ask quietly yet fiercely taking your arm back, he giggles "What? I'm being quiet... and look at all the drawings I did", you shake your head with a smile before dipping your own quill into the ink pot aiming for his right cheek writing 'Y/N boyfriend', "Hey!" Ron grunts touching his marked cheek as you laugh softly "Oh you're on pretty girl" he stated before aiming for your face as well, by the end of your doodling war you and Ron had ink marks all over your faces and arms.
Madam Pince made her way over to your tables to check up on the whole of the library, "Oh what a mess! both of you out and clean yourselves for goodness sake, and don't you dare spill any of that ink on the table or the books, out out out!" She ushers the both of you before turning away, you and Ron shared a smile towards each other before leaning in for a quick kiss, "How about we met up with Harry and Hermione at dinner instead, let me help my girlfriend clean up a bit, how about a bath?" he asks with a cheeky wink your smile grew bigger and bigger with a hint of pink appearing on your face as you nodded at Ron's proposal, in no time the two of you quickly pack your things in the library and walk hand in hand towards the prefect's bathroom on the 5th floor for a privet bath.
